this is for my selfshippers with insomnia; and/or a hyperactive mind, intrusive thoughts, all the other bad things too that can keep a person from resting...

you f/o holds you during the long, horrible, sleepless nights. when you feel so alone, kept awake by all the noise in your brain, they're there for you, all night long.

they're there to remind you to take your medication for it, if you have it. they help you form a healthy routine with it, they want to see you feeling better. they might even train you to have a positive association- maybe you get a kiss every time you remember?

and when you do get to sleep, and when you dream of your f/o, it'll be all the more sweet.

Types of Blade Magic

Blades follow an eight-element, three-typed magic system. Elements are light, dark, water, fire, wind, ice, earth, and lightning. The three types are healer, tank, dps.

Each pair of elements represents one virtue from opposite angles. Light and dark are idealistic justice and cynical justice; water and fire are tranquil bravery and passionate bravery. Wind and ice are subjective and objective truth. Earth and lightning are singular deep compassion and multiple shallow compassions. The Virtues don’t really impact how the magic works, but it can be used as a personality marker.

For example, a light Blade would find justice by setting up a public trial. A dark Blade would get revenge.

I understand that this Blade system is based on XC 2’s blade system, but I have never played XC 2. I discovered the blade system through the awesome YWKON fics by rarsneezes, which are the Blade system in a world with characters from the Tales series. Based on that and my general familiarity with the magic of Aeselia, spell names and effects are going to be from that magic system.

Also Aeselia magic system has a spell called Resurrection which does exactly what it says and I can’t pass that up for a DSMP AU.

Blades also have internal magic that makes them harder to kill than most Players. They are physically stronger as well, and have a passive regen that usually takes care of even the worst wounds within a day.

Blades, even strong Blades, don’t tend to have many techniques that are straight-up elemental manipulation on a massive scale. Usually, it is more along the lines of adding elemental damage to regular combat or casting passive, potion-like buffs.

Most elemental abilities are minor and active passively. For example, water Blades and ice Blades tend to have lower body temperatures. Fire Blades have higher body temperatures. Water Blades also don’t get wet in the rain and dry off very quickly after they stop swimming.

Another example, dark Blades tend to blend very well with the shadows. A more powerful dark Blade can even make themselves unnoticeable in bright daylight—people’s eyes just pass over them. Light Blades have the opposite issue, they tend to glow. They also tend to have a passive attention attraction, even when they don’t want to. A light Blade that is trying can make it near-impossible to look away from them.

c!Technoblade’s sense of direction is a facet of his powers as an earth Blade in this AU. I mostly chose earth because of the way he cares so deeply if you show him kindness in turn. Also one of the bonuses is that he would be able to use Ground Dasher or Gravity well or even Grand Cataclysm. Like, in this AU he could've done Doomsday by himself in 30min, but he decided to be nice and share.

c!Punz tends to use his passive notice-me-not often when he doesn’t feel like dealing with people, or when he’s gathering information.

Poor c!Dream is a light Blade, and because he is very powerful his passive is powerful as well. Even though he's not trying, he glows at night. Since he is pretending he is not a Blade, this ups his weirdness factor in the eyes of other server members. The decaying Resonance from pushing away c!George to protect him affects his aether control. The fact that it is hard not to notice him gets used by other server members, subconsciously, as part of the scapegoating process leading up to Stagedfinale.

I am unhappy about Doomsday + Wilbur said Dream is a tyrant + I am always thinking about him even though Techno and Phil were there too = Dream is the person solely/mostly at fault for Doomsday and other bad things and we need to deal with him right now.

YES YES! long post incoming but ok so the whole premise is based off of this post where I talk about how good friends cdream and foolish would have been had foolish joined earlier, so i made an au where foolish joins earlier, much earlier— pre every war and dreams villain arc so they have a lot of time to get very close. this inadvertently changes both a lot and nothing at all. new friends, old enemies

foolish is strong and incredibly self sufficient so when dream starts being very pragmatic with how he views relationships he's able to justify letting foolish stay around

Pov: the weird guy you met months ago is still ur friend after the Atrocities

they don't have a falling out like dream does with the rest of the old crew, foolish is noticeably absent from the final confrontation. Later, foolish ends up breaking both techno and dream out of prison, because instead of joining las nevadas after the murder reveal party he seeks out dream, and the power over death he holds.

though I think these two would be good for each other, there's literally nothing you can do to stop foolish from being your friend (he literally hangs out with his murders) and dream absolutely benefits from the kind of security that comes with knowing there is nothing you can do that would drive someone away AND foolish differs from punz in that he very actively doesn't enable dreams self destructive tendencies and murder plots, they still do a lot to hurt each other. they're both still very secretive with their individual plans and multiple times throughout their time together post prison they go behind each other's back.

In specific, foolish still courts XDs favor and still gains immortality— he hides all of this from dream even though they're working together. (There's a moment that i Need to write where dream after realizing just how much foolish is hiding from him thinks that foolish has the given someone else the revive book as insurance incase foolish dies, he then attacks foolish to ... test this theory and finds out well, foolish is immortal just not at all in the way he thought. foolish stays his friend even after this, though things are a lot more tense because of this Obviously.) dream on several occasions cuts foolish out of the Main Plan, utilizing punz to do all the things foolish objects too.

still, dream provides all the same things las nevadas gave foolish in canon, the security, the strength, the direction, without any of the whole murder baggage (... at first..). the bring out the best in each other, while drawing out the worst at the same time. they're complicated. they also have passionate makeouts

Dream has always, since that very first moment, looked at him as if no one else in all the realms existed. As if George was indeed everything that should be worshiped: the sun, the moon, the stars, the world, an embodiment of the universe itself made of flesh and blood and yet divine.

As if George is Dream’s heart given life in a separate body only so that he might better hold it in two devout, careful hands.

DreamSMP lore spoilers and discussion! This will be talking about c!Tommy and c!Dream, specifically their final moments in the prison in the finale stream. This will talk about child abuse, so pls be warned, keep urself safe <3 and it is c!Dream critical.

Ok I’m not very happy w the way that c!Tommy’s lore ended up panning out. (Not getting into that apology bc i wanna see if cc!Tommy is gonna say anything on that first. I personally am thinking that c!Tommy saying “I’m sorry” was intended in a diff way than it came across.)

I think that there were some very good elements in this lore (hopefully if I get some time soon I’ll be making some art based on those good elements) but the one I wanna talk abt rn is c!Tommy’s limbo sequence.

I’m gonna say, I really liked c!Dream being humanised there. I am genuinely really happy he was turned into something other than just a villain in c!Tommy’s eyes, even if the execution was a little clunky. I can’t help but feel let down though by the extreme nothing they do with this character revelation (obviously they didn’t have much time left after that but still! There could’ve been some confrontation!). I think that c!Dream should be humanised, not because he deserves redemption or deserves c!Tommy to empathise with or forgive him, but rather because I think it makes him so much worse.

Because c!Dream should not be mythologised into a Villain With A Capital Vee. He is just a man. He is just a human being. He’s a human being with a lot of cruelty and a magic book. And I think that in this context seeing that c!Dream was once happy and kind and good is important bc it shows that he was not made that way, he was not ‘forced’ to be a villain.

(Yes, there was a war and yes, c!Tommy burned down a house that one time but c!Dream’s response was wildly disproportionate to those actions, and thus I do not think he was forced into abusing c!Tommy in exile bc he clearly and obviously chose to do that of his own volition.)

He very actively and deliberately chose to hurt those around him bc he WANTED to. And he didn’t have a tragic story that pushed him over the edge! He was happy at the beginning of the server and then he became cruel. There is no plot twist backstory that paints him into shades of grey or justifies what he did. He was a man who was happy and lived a good life and made the active decision to be cruel anyway.

And for that, I think the limbo sequence was good. Sadly it wasn’t utilised as such and rather just seems as canon fodder for those who wish to defend c!Dream’s actions as if he did not abuse a child for months on end.

Listen, listen... do I want c!Eret to say they still believe in the FCR after all this time? No. Buuuuuut-

I would love that conflict between c!Wilbur and him. Like the stream starts with the two talking and c!Wilbur being all apologetic and then idk c!Eret says something like, “It’s too bad the FCR didn’t work like it should’ve” or something and c!Wilbur just pauses, then snaps.

At first he’s all pissed for c!Tommy and c!Tubbo and c!Fundy, none of who deserved to be murdered. And to sit there and listen to c!Eret still be like “it had to be done” riles him up like nothing else.

BUT THEN- THEN- he’s ranting to c!Eret, demanding she take it back, and during it he goes from, “You killed them!” to “You ruined my life!” and it just goes quiet before c!Wilbur goes on, screaming about how the FCR affected him.

Genuinely I think this arc needs a little bit of conflict. It’s a self-healing arc for c!Wilbur and that’s not gonna happen unless he starts realizing he’s worth defending, that he didn’t deserve that pain and trauma.

Like I want c!Eret and c!Wilbur to get along sure, but I want c!Wilbur to start believing in his self-worth more, so, I’ll take it.

I don't know if I'm a madman, but

Since I saw Vienna and the new Wilbur stream.

That song is literally about crime boys, like you can't convince me otherwise.

Like, for C!Wilbur Dsmp is Vienna, it was just another thing in his life that he can't keep, because he is always on the move.

Also the line "And I'll put down my roots when I'm dead" and Tommy worrying about Wilbur k1lling himself, when he says he wants to go somewhere and not return?

Also "treating my memory of you like a fire, let it burn out, don't fight it and try to move on". Once again, Wilbur deeply cared about Tommy, but he knows that it will hurt even more if he constantly keeps thinking about him. I think that Wilburs life was always miserable, especially when he worked at the gas station, so Tommy was like an escape for him, while for Tommy Wilbur was his whole life, but they still need to part ways for Wilbur to finally find peace in the place he was born.

Anyways I'm crying.
