Happy Holidays, students! We here at ABHQ wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our members. You’ve all participated so well in recent events, and have made our rp holidays so special! We love you all dearly, and we wanted to give your characters a little holiday gift of their own just to say thank you for being wonderful.....
It will never be discovered just who was behind it, but each and every student awoke this morning to find a present sitting on their doorstep, or to find an owl interrupting their breakfast, nearly dropping a parcel in their cereal bowls. A small note seems to be attached to every single gift, neatly detailing what they all were in need of, or what their heart desired, whether they knew it or not. Better not tell the professors if you received something scandalous, students!

Jacob really love his sister, they are inseparable since she was born. When he first saw Danique, as a newborn, he swore to Merlin that he would protect her with all cost. When he went to Hogwarts, he sent a letter for Danique weekly. The letters are about his life in Hogwarts, he even tells her about the cursed vaults. Then there is R situation, he rarely sent her a letter. When she asked about the vault and why he didn't send a letter weekly, he said that he gave up and busy with his school works.
During Summer break, he would show Danique all the spells he studied and broom flying manoeuvres(Without mom and dad knowing). Even she doesn't have wand, she would try to mimic his move. One day when her magical ability is awake, she somehow could cast the spells without a wand. This is the reason why Danique knows and masters a lot of spells and has excellent flying skills.
One summer after Jacob was treated by R, he was a lot quiet and stayed in his room most of the time. Danique was feeling sad about this, but her dad told her that it is normal for teenagers to spend their time in the bedroom. So she tried to understand and playing with herself instead.
Knowing Jacob was expelled is quite a shock for her since Jacob was always serious about studying and had good grades. She was angry at him for ruining family's peace. He and father had never talk to each other again since that. Even she was angry, she sneaked into his room to talk to him sometimes. Surprisingly, Jacob talked to her. He also told her that he may disappear one day to seek for something and if he found it, it might make the situation better. Having thought about Jacob leaving, she cried and tried to beg him not to go. Jacob lied that he changed his mind and promised to stay. One morning when Danique went to his room to show her new achievement of wandless spell, he was not there.

Please write a cute prompt about Harriet, Harry and CJ.
Hi anon! So this is getting to you kinda late. My writing schedule for this weekend was pushed back because I started feeling really under the weather and spent most of the day either napping or blowing my nose. Anyway, I hope you like it!
TW: There is mention of some blood.

The Isle was a rough place, especially for the young. The first few years was all about survival. How to either be unseen or be quick enough to get the heck out of a tricky spot. If you were able to get past a certain age, usually into the double digits, that’s when you could start making a name for yourself. Even then, only a select few, the meanest, cruelest, most cunning actually made it out on top of the kiddie pile to even think of playing with the adults.
All of this to say that it was strange for six year old Calista Jane “CJ” Hook to strut as confidently as she did down the uneven muddy streets of the market alone. She was still too young to have been given (i.e. steal) one of her father’s coats but the quality of the worn but sturdy boots that were stuffed to fit her tiny feet along with the noticeably less amount of dirt that covered her face meant she was better off than some of the other unfortunate bastard sons and daughters of this Isle. It should have been warning enough…
CJ was supposed to be on one of her father’s ships waiting for Harry to come back from whatever he did with Ursula’s recently shrimp smelling daughter and take her to Dr. Facilier’s shop to play with Freddie. But even though she had pointed to where the hands on his pocket watch would be when he needed to pick her up multiple times, he had still not shown up even after being over an hour late.
He had forgotten her! (And it was probably Uma’s fault too since CJ knew the older girl could tell time unlike her brother. What was so great about Uma? She thought the prank that Mal had played on her way great and had hoped her brother wouldn’t want to play with the shrimp smelling girl and instead would decide to decide to go on adventures with her, his little sister. Instead, if anything, the incident made his friendship with Uma stronger, tighter, distancing himself further and futher from his baby sister.)
Having waited long enough, head strong young CJ decided to go on her own. After all, she had made the trip several times with Harry and a few more times with Harriet when the older girl was still living with them (CJ didn’t know that the empty gnawing pain she felt in her chest was due to both of her siblings abandoning her). She didn’t need anyone else.
CJ held her short frame as tall as she possibly could as she made her way through the crowd. It shouldn’t be too hard…
Right?
“Hey, look at her. Pretty lil runt ain’t she?”
“Ya lost little one? Need an uncle to…show you around?”
CJ frowned, staring up at the two grimy looking older men grinning down at her.
“Never go anywhere with a man who ain’t Mr. Smee or Harry, ya here me, Calista Jane?” a memory of Harriet firmly gripping her chin played in the back of her head.
“Ah, cat got yer tongue, poppet?” one of the man laughed, reaching out to grab her arm.
“And if they try to force ya, run like Barbosa’s ghost is after ya!”
CJ kicked the man’s shin hard, a howl of pain escaping his lips. The other man tried to grab after her, but the youngest Hook child slipped between his legs and took off.
“Get back here, ya lil wench!” the first man yelled, both men going after her.
The little girl ran and ran, turning up and down streets to get the two men off her tail. She finally ducked in an alley, hiding behind some wooden crates. She bit the inside of her cheek, trying to keep quiet and remain hidden like Harriet and Harry always made her do when daddy had too much of his special juice and went chasing after Harry until either Harriet or Mr. Smee somehow managed to stop him.
The worn and taped boots of the men paused at the entrance of the alley-way.
“I coulda sworn I saw her turn down here,” one man, the man she kicked with a funny looking scar across the bridge of his nose murmured stepping into the alley.
“Lil tramp. Probably ain’t worth the effort of catching her,” he companion spat.
“Aw, don’t say that, mate,” scar man growled. “Those pretty little eyes of hers are probably worth a couple of pretty little pennies from the witches. They like to still do rituals and shit to their demon lord despite not having any magic here.”
CJ moreso heard rather than saw the other man shudder. She herself didn’t like the witches that she knew they were talking about. There were many types of witches on the Isle, Ursula, the Evil Queen, and Madam Mim being the ones that instantly came to mind first. However, there was another category of witches on the Isle, witches who were rumored to be the mistresses of Chernabog, who had willingly given their souls and beauty to the God of the Night in hopes that he would one day rise from his mountain and rain terror down upon their enemies. CJ remembered how even Harriet, her strong fearless sister, wouldn’t even dare to mess with them unless she absolutely had.
No, CJ thought, reaching for the small pocket knife she had stolen off of Harry earlier this morning when she had jumped on him to wake him up from another dream that he had made him sigh “Uma” and “fucking pixie” every now and again. She wasn’t going to be taken to any witches.
“And if ya can’t run…” Harriet’s voice reminded her.
Her hand trembled slightly as she waited for the men to step closer to her hiding space.
“Then stick ‘em with the pointy end!”
“I wouldn’t do that that if I were you, poppet.”
Eyes wide and unintentionally dropping her blade, CJ realized that scar man’s companion had snuck up behind her and was now hold a knife against her throat with one hand while the other hand pulled roughly on her tangled mane.
“You hurt me and you’re gonna be dead!” the girl shouted and hissed, trying to move back as the man with the scar knelt in front of her. “My sister and brother are the meanest kids on the Isle!”
“Oh shut up, lass!” the man behind her hissed, annoyed as he tugged harder on her hair causing tear of pain to form in her eyes. “Like we’re afraid of some no-name kids. Now be good. The witches would want ya alive but they wouldn’t be too put off if you were just a few minutes dead.”
“NO!” CJ yelled trying to scratch and bite her way away from these men. She didn’t want to be some ingredient in some witches seance. She didn’t want to be alone with these men. She just wanted to have an adventure with her big sister and her big brother…
“Ah damn! Ye fuckin’ idiots made the lil monster cry,” a familiar voice sighed tiredly.
“Get out of here lad! Ain’t nothing for ye here,” the man with the scar hissed.
The intruder stepped forward, a boy with a mess of black hair framing bright blue eyes that narrowed when CJ let out a whimper of pain. “Now, that’s where yer wrong. I don’t think ye understand whose sister yer messin’ with,” the boy grinned wickedly, holding up a polished hook in his hand, one of Captain Hook’s old ones that had been polished and fitted so that he could hold it in his less dominant sword wielding hand.
That was apparently enough all the two men needed to see as they connected the dots, gasping before pushing CJ as far away from them as possible, hoping that that would be enough to appease Captain Hook’s insane unpredictable son. Despite the Isle’s size, rumors spread quickly with nothing else for most to do other than just waste away. Even with only being just shy of eleven, the boy was starting to make a name for himself as a fierce and ruthless fighter with the manic laugh and what some could only see as an obsession with Ursula’s disgraced daughter.
“W-we didn’t know,” the man with the scar tried to defend himself to this boy not even half his age. “She didn’ look like yer father,” he said before his eyes widened, trying to backtrack. I mean, she didn’t have the Hook red coat. We thought she was just another runt.”
“They said they were gonna give me to the witches and then they pulled my hair!” CJ pouted crossly, looking irritatedly up at Harry.
The boy sighed, shrugging, looking at the men with a “what can you do?” look on his face. “Well gentlemen, runt or no, it seems you’ve woken a sleepin’ beast.”
The men began to beg at him but all Harry could do was shake his head.
“I’m sorry, but it ain’t up to me,” he said right before a sword protruded the front of one man before pulling back and doing the same with the other. Both men tried to staunch the blood with their hands but blood poured freely through their fingers, too quickly for anything to be done. Harry frowned, looking put out. “Ya couldn’t save one for me, Ettie?”
Harriet wiped the blood off on one of the dying men’s pants, looking nonchalant.
“Think of it as punishment for not looking at Calista Jane properly.”
“Think of it as punishment,” Harry mocked. “Davey Jones, what happened to your damn accent, lass? You abandon us for months to go play on the other side of the Isle with all ‘em land loving stuck ups and all of a sudden ya think yer hot shit!”
“I like it!” CJ exclaimed, beaming up at her big sister with nothing short of admiration, totally desensitized to the sight of two bodies bleeding out. Harriet smirked at her before a frown quickly replaced it.
“Calista Jane, what were you doing walking the streets alone? You’re too young and without reputation to go traversing the Isle by yourself,” the eldest Hook sibling reprimanded.
Crossing her arms and frowning, CJ stomped her foot. “But ya told me you did it when you were younger than me.”
Harriet frowned, stepping over the bodies and bending down to grab CJ firmly by the chin. They both had their father’s brown eyes despite Harriet’s much darker skin tone. “Because I didn’t have an older sister or even an idiot older brother (“Hey!”) to watch my back,” she said gruffly her accent that she had tried to rid herself of leaking through. “There’s a lot of bodies I wouldn’t mind seeing sent off to Davy Jones but I refuse to have ye be one of ‘em, Calista Jane. Not this young. Ye understand?”
Sighing, CJ nodded. Though Harriet could be really cool, there were a few times where she was no fun.
“Sowry,” she said with big fat tears waiting to fall in her eyes.
Harry rolled his eyes. “Oh come on ya little fish bait. If yer gonna try to throw a con over us, the least ya could do is realize no one’s gonna believe that baby talk crap at your age,” he paused, thinking. “Though they might think yer an idiot but that’s not really you acting then, is it?”
Harriet straightened up, smacking Harry hard behind the head causing CJ’s fake tears to immediately stop and the younger girl to break into wicked little giggles.
“Damn lass! That’s me head! I only got one of ‘em!” Harry hissed, rubbing the abused spot.
Harriet ignored him and turned back to CJ. “Let’s do a proper scam.”
CJ gasped excitedly, dancing a little in her spot. “All of us?”
Harriet turned back to look at Harry and CJ held her breath. Ever since the “Shrimpy” incident, Harry had been sticking even closer to Uma, having no time to run scams with his little sister.
The young pirate boy sighed, as if it would be such a chore but the eager look in his eyes told the truth.
“Oh, why not?”

She’s never been taught to pray to anything, and even if she had, at this point she wouldn’t believe there was any higher power looking out for her.

Only recently has she had to face the concept of not having money in her name, but even then she’s never really been impoverished.

She tends to fumble with her words quite a bit, as she’s just generally a nervous person. She also says “sorry” more often than she probably should.

Reyelle comes from a very long line of very powerful, very wealthy moon elves. She knows little in the way of specifics about her ancestors, just that her family line is something she’s supposed to be proud of. Until very recently, she kept with all the traditions her parents forced upon her.

She knows very little about the concept of sex, apart from the fact that it’s what makes babies. She didn’t learn about it until she was well into her sixties (or her teens, in elf years).

Her freedom.

Her middle name is Calista, and it’s very rarely used, so she doesn’t really have an opinion of it.

She was never allowed pets, though she often tried to sneak them into her room, especially if they were stray cats. She was usually caught.

Talia. She stole it at the same time she stole Reyelle’s coin purse. And her heart.

She distinctly remembers the first time someone ever referred to her as “beautiful.” It was her mother, and Reyelle was still a very small child, dolled up so he parents could take her to a fancy party of some sort. Her mother said it like having a beautiful daughter was the proudest achievement of her life— a far cry from the way Reyelle was often called “beautiful” as she grew older.

She would think they were rather odd and likely be curious about them, but otherwise have no opinion.

She’s not fond of being referred to by any kind of title, not even something as simple as “Lady.” She also hates being interrupted, though she won’t fight anyone about it if they do. She’ll just go silent.

It was so long ago she hardly remembers it now, but she was still a child at the time, still at an age when her parents spoiled her rotten. They gave her her first horse that birthday, and treated her like absolute royalty.

TV Show Ask Game
3) have you ever quit a show before it finished? why?
ouat. because i was upset that they broke up my canon happy ending ship from ouat:iw for no reason just to throw the popular guy into the main show and have him fake date belle while she was pissed at rumple and then didn’t address why he was there or do other stuff with him after that. and then the writing was just really bad and i stopped caring. (probably would’ve stopped before s4 except they brought in elizabeth mitchell and mmmmmmmm i really like her.)
also naruto. although i’m not sure if that counts because i quit somewhere during all the filler arcs before shippuden. and i quit. because of the filler arcs. (there was almost an entire season of yu-gi-oh that i skipped because it was filler. and i think i missed most of the last season, but i think i went back for the finale.)i stopped about halfway through wonderfalls because she got together with the guy and it felt like it was going to go into super shipping territory and i wasn’t about that life (and then apparently i’ve heard that it didn’t because i think she helps him get back with his wife? or something? like that? idk?? i haven’t seen it, obviously. XD).
–obviously i have done this multiple times, particularly with long-running shows. (i feel like i should include pokemon, too, but that had more to do with conflicting times between it and digimon, i think, which i enjoyed significantly more.) i don’t really watch shows all the way through and stick with them, so the shows i have done that with are probably a bigger deal than the ones i haven’t.
5) what’s your comfort show?
my little pony: friendship is magic. don’t judge me.but, like, it started out as a comfort show because my ex and i had gotten into a HUGE fight and one of my roommates had been kind of involved (long story) and that was basically the fight that finalized for me the end of the relationship and my other roommate was like okay, we’re going to sit down and watch ponies and you will fall in love with luna and you will feel better and she was right. luna is best pony.i’ve used other shows that way, too, but mlp:fim is my go-to when i’m in a depressive period.
7) have you ever been inspired to start a new show based on gifs or memes it has produced?
jane the virgin. i mean, there’s a combination of influences that led to that, but the main final bit were those gif sets that nessie reblogged of luisa and rose and tagged for rhea and ivy. because no one told me when they were trying to get me to watch it that there were lesbians.the only other one i could think of was symphogear, but i think that was more because i made a friend who wrote one of the main characters and less to do with the actual gifs.
12) have you ever watched a show just for a specific actor? did you enjoy it?
the fall. for gillian anderson (and jamie dornan because with his beard he’s actually not bad to look at). and yeah, i enjoyed it. the katie stuff in s2 was b a d, but other than that, yeah, i really enjoyed it!american gods i didn’t see all of, but i mostly saw it for gillian anderson to especially the episode she and kristin chenoweth were in together i really just saw it for that episode it was a great episode.i’ve been debating watching agent carter for bridget regan, and i definitely saw the tick for yara martinez. i loved the tick and look forward to s2.oh and i saw ally mcbeal for calista because cat grant is great and ally mcbeal was great.and then i saw swingtown for lana parilla and i had to get past the first two episodes and also i was seeing it with jae but swingtown is also great.i started wonderfalls for caroline dhavernas (alana bloom in hannibal, if that helps) and i own it but i didn’t finish it. i should add that one up above, actually. i heard jewel straite shows up in the last few episodes, though, so. might go back to that. eventually. maybe.

i may have gotten super excited about big little lies because nicole kidman and reese witherspoon and it was totally worth they hype and it was really good and it can be triggering but it was SO good.–might stop there because this list could maybe get really long. but it’s a thing where in most cases i’ve actually enjoyed what i went back to see. i’m sure there are examples where things didn’t live up to hype with things i watched primarily for actors? but? i can’t think of any tv shows where that happened. maybe glee because idina menzel but i also started seeing that because the girl i had a crush on was super into it so.

doctor who (which i’ve started and got distracted from finishing), legends of tomorrow (but skip s1, right?), a series of unfortunate events (which dad and i started but then we’re rarely in a place to see shows at the same time so now he’s on a doctor who marathon and i’ve been catching up on supergirl - but i’m hoping to jump in on his doctor who marathon when he gets back to where he left me the first time), merlin (because katie mcgrath duh), the kominsky method (which i’ve seen bits of and liked), person of interest (BECAUSE LESBIANS AND ALSO JIM CAVIEZEL), gurren lagann (which i’ve started and haven’t finished), jessica jones - and there’s other stuff, like, i have a long list on netflix and i think there’s stuff i’m not thinking of, but those are the ones that stand out.
OH KILLING EVE. KILLING EVE IS ON THAT LIST. AND WESTWORLD (which i’ve seen bits and pieces of while dad was binging the first season after we got it for him for Christmas).
25) do you prefer proper opening credits, or a simple title card?
opening credits. give me a catchy theme song i can sing with and that will make me think of the show when i hear it. give me a theme song that’s cool and then release it so that i can buy it.

Kara Danvers needs to be Kara Danvers
I'm taking a moment to talk, write about Kara, not only because today is the international women day, but because I love Kara, I love her character and Melissa is freaking amazing. Last time I watched a tv show with comics characters was in the 90's, Lois and Clark with Teri and Dean. An eternity... I started to watch Supergirl by curiosity and also because of the cast: Melissa, Calista and Chyler and I loved it. I loved Kara, Cat, Alex, Lucy, and the whole message behind them. It was not just about a girl becoming a hero with a cape and her superpowers, it was about women. Women who can be who they want to be in the world, what they are meant to be or to do. Women can be heroes without a cape. The message was important, necessary and still it is, today more than ever, until the rest of time. Back to Kara. Kara is important, not just because she's the main character, but because of what she is, what she represent. And since the beginning of season 2, we lost her, I lost her, and it makes me kind of sad. The last episode of Supergirl was perfect, I had so much emotions. Supergirl was finally Supergirl again. A good storyline, focus on women: Kara, Alex, Maggie, Lena and Lillian. We had Sanvers, SuperCop and the most important ship: The Danvers Sisters. And Kara was back. Back as a reporter, back at taking risk, back with her strong personality, back as Supergirl. I was happy. Kara was the Kara of season 1 with all her determination and her fighter spirit. And then, at the end of this brilliant episode, something, somehow, happened and Kara get lost again.... and I'm sad again. Kara's fired, ok. But why?? why after this amazing story and the perfect Danvers Sisters moment, the writers made Kara said to Mon-El: "maybe being Supergirl and having you is enough". Why??? I was like "Kara, darling, I understand that you must be tired after saving this ship, but have you entirely lost your mind ?". Kara, it is not enough. You wanted to be a reporter, be one. ( I am still waiting for that story by the way, I would love to see it ). Kara, Cat Grant believes in you, Clark, Lena, Alex, James, Winn, they all believe in you as a reporter, don't give up. And here is the only problem I have with the last episode. Here is the problem that I have with all the season 2: Kara is lost. The writers, I don't understand why they're doing this, but having Kara's character being destroy, it's all the season that became a real fucking mess. And the show has lost what made it so good and so important in season 1. The only powerful story this season is Alex's storyline, it is fantastic, and Sanvers is magic. Kara wanted to be a reporter. So why at the end of this episode, Mon-El doesn't support her, to keep trying, to keep going, to keep telling stories and follow her dreams, why ???? And it's not about Mon-El, I know there is a big debate about him, but personally, I don't care about him. I didn't connect with the character when the season started, I'm not interested in his story, so I don't care. But I do care about Kara. So I really hope that by the end of the season or even in the next episode, they're gonna fix this. They have to. Kara being just a girlfriend and Supergirl, it's not enough, she needs to be Kara Danvers, because that's what she is. Kara Danvers loves her friends, her family and she loves Alex more than anything. Kara Danvers is smart, funny, strong, independent, supportive, inspiring, beautiful, ambitious, precious and so much more... Kara Danvers without her cape and her "S" is important, she can change the world for the best. Let her be.

Nicole Maines opens up about playing TV's first trans superhero on Supergirl Nicole Maines has dreamed of donning a cape since she was little. Specifically, the 20-year-old activist-turned-actor remembers admiring Storm from the iconic X-Men animated series. “Being the little queer kid who just wanted to be a girly-girl, I saw that cape and that hair and I said, ‘Oh, that’s it,’ as I’m trying to explain to my parents, ‘I wanna be a girl. This is what we’re going for!’ ” says Maines, who is transgender. And now she will finally get her chance. Maines will take flight (at least metaphorically) in Supergirl’s fourth season as Nia Nal, a passionate new reporter at CatCo who is destined to become the precognitive superhero Dreamer. This makes Maines the first transgender superhero on a live-action TV series.

When I was younger, if there had been a trans superhero, that would’ve been a game-changer,” says the actress, whose previous credits include Royal Pains and the HBO documentary The Trans List.
But this isn’t the first time Maines has broken new ground.
She made headlines in 2014 as the plaintiff in a watershed Maine Supreme Judicial Court case that declared it was illegal to prohibit transgender people from using the bathroom of their choice. The victory taught Maines that despite the struggle, there are indeed people out there who are willing to stand up for the marginalized. “Saying it now sounds obvious, but that can be really hard to remember when you’re a trans kid who feels like your world’s been turned upside down,” Maines says. “Just having someone to see in the media is so empowering and validating.”
While Maines’ experience as a “real-life hero,” to borrow executive producer Robert Rovner’s words, appealed to Supergirl’s showrunners — who set out to cast a trans actress in the part of Nia — they were primarily impressed by how she channeled the spirit of young Kara Danvers in her performance.“I can’t believe we found an actress who just magically has the same effervescence and essence [as Benoist],” says fellow EP Jessica Queller. That quality was important because Kara will mentor Nia in the same way that CatCo empress Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) guided Kara in season 1. We’ll also see Nia learn how to harness her precognitive powers and accept her superhero destiny while also fighting injustices as a reporter.
“We’re telling a lot of stories of what’ll be happening in National City as a result of things that happen in the season opener. She’ll be reporting on all that there is and kind of learning from both Kara and from James,” Rovner teases. “There are things that happen in this season opener that kind of propel the whole season forward, and the rise of the Children of Liberty and Agent Liberty [Sam Witwer], and she gets very involved with that.”
