Just a laundry list of stuff from the Terror scripts that doesn’t nearly get as talked about as much as it should and I’m going to make it everyone else’s problem
The way that neptune’s shit in front of hickey is LITERALLY a revenge shit. Puppy knew puppy always knew- but also how neptune is so beautifully and carefully tied into scenes like. The script loved this dog. So fucking much ("we put up with it because the captain loves it" DAMN RIGHT!!!! THATS HIS DOOOOOOG).
As much as I hate these bitches: that extended scene with Sir John and Lady Jane???? Him in bed with the flu and they are literally the picture of casual tenderness and affection and I might never recover from it. He literally asks her to stowaway like I CANNOT with that shit it’s so unbelievably cute. "I'm ill, Jane" will haunt me forever.
Sofia’s “you should marry a pole, not a woman”??? YYYYYYYOWCH
Also the change your jacket before you come down to dinner bit to Francis that was carried over from the book makes me go insane. Yes. Change your whole self to make yourself presentable to good society and then you can be with us. Yeah. Sooo fucking normal (I am yanking that man away from Sofia with my fucking teeth on the scruff of his neck).
Also. The Pelgar Bridgens romance. Is so real. Show gets so subtle with it I read it as a storge kinda bromance first go around but script loved these two guys being in love so much and it was beautiful that it was literally written queer love from the get go. And put up against Hickey and Gibson it’s a stark and beautiful and TRAGIC as fuck contrast. Like show showed it well but the way it was actually written is ascendant to me.
JFJ being at home in combat. Jesus fucking christ. And the crown of thorns. Jesus was a man riddled with scurvy and his name was james fitzjames. also the splinter thing he literally carries the ship with him in the most painful way possible. christ alive.

Which sewing pattern exec in the 60s got cucked by big bias binding and decided in retaliation that every single edge needed to be finished with a facing? I'm genuinely not sure there's an armhole or neckline that wouldn't look and feel better with a bias bind than a facing, but every. single. pattern makes me cut out a stupid facing piece and hand tack it down so it isn't just flapping about awkwardly. Guess what I wouldn't have to do that for? That's right, bias binding, the s-tier finishing method that apparently big pattern doesn't want you to know about.

What If S2 spoilers ahead!
The second episode hit me in the chest with all the feels. A few random thoughts:
-MIDDLE AGED PEGGY???? YESSSSSSSS. MY GAL. I love all forms of Peggy, including BAMF, non-super Peggy. Peggy doesn't need powers to kick ass. <3
-Kurt Russell does a great job with Ego. I love it when the actor's work plays into why I hate a particular character. Ego is the WORST and Kurt Russell as Ego is super hate-able. A++, love me a villain that I can dislike without any need or want for redemption.
-LITTLE PETER AND HOPE! OMG! Bonding over music! Bonding over shared life experiences! Hope understanding Peter because Hope is also a kid who has dealt with terrible shit thanks to powerful parents! I love them as BFFs. Yes, please.
-BUCKY! Peggy and Howard's reactions to Bucky! Bucky's reaction to Howard pulling the Steve card! DLASKJFLAF
-Peggy/Wendy now exists in my mind as a ship, thanks!
-Wendy <3 Bill Foster <3 T'Chaka <3 80's Avengers <3
-GOOSE!

A week before Nationals, the Yellowjackets are primed for a bonding weekend. In the woods. Where they are all definitely equipped for camping and enough gay panic to fuel a plane.
(A Tumblr prompt fill [anon]: Instead of the plane crashing into the Wilderness—the team willingly goes camping in the woods, in order to team bond before nationals (Jackie's idea).)
“Jackie,” says Natalie in a low, dangerous voice. “This does not look like a hotel.”
“What gave it away?” Jackie is beaming. Jackie is, Natalie has discovered, somewhat immune to her dangerous voice.
Honestly, most of her teammates are immune to that voice. And her glares. And her everything, and Natalie wishes she’d had the foresight to be violently ill this weekend.
“Oh, come on,” Jackie adds when the rest of the girls pin her with equally flat stares. “This is going to be epic.”

Sorry but am I the only one that thought that episode…sucked? Like it was straight up bad. Horrible pacing, no wrap up of all the random characters and plot lines they’ve thrown around all season (the tuskegee airmen, Westgates spying, literally all the guys beside like the main 4). (Seriously it makes me so mad that the three redtails got all of 5 seconds of screen time, almost no lines. Literally what was the point of introducing them other than to pretend the show was iNcLuSiVe) Even at the end of BoB and the Pacific you get a much better idea of what happened to all the remaining guys. In this they’re like what happened to DeMarco or Hambone or Brady or (insert character here) we don’t know! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The concentration camp scene felt shoehorned in compared to how it was done in BoB. Unless that actually happened to Rosie (which i haven’t heard anything about) but it was just like.. ok? It all felt so rushed and emotionless to me. Maybe I’ve just fallen out of love with MoTA but it’s been downhill for me since episode 6 or so.
i already made a little (read: long) post-finale write-up here, where i talk about the use of the tuskegee airmen, l'sandra, and overall editing/pacing issues i felt the show had. but i don't agree with the notion that adding the redtails was in any way insincere or trying to halfass being "iNcLuSiVe", i just think they suffer from this show's obvious time constraints. and to summarize what i wrote in my linked post, there's a limit to what white writers/directors/producers can do when creating a story about black people. there are some stories i'd feel uncomfortable with them telling on their own, truth be told. dee rees wasn't the sole nonwhite director, but she Was the only black one. i think she did her job well given the limitations and i appreciate that they let her direct those episodes, rather than leaving it up to a team of white people trying their best to tell a black story.
the worst i can say about the finale is that it didn't feel like That strong of finale, tho i wouldn't go as far to say it "sucked" or call it "straight up bad". i liked it plenty, it's just the weakest of the hbo war finales imo.
as for the concentration camp scene, artistic license was taken with both shows. unlike what's seen in the BoB, easy company wasn't the first to arrive at kaufering, and there's 0 mention of the all-japanese american 552nd who helped them liberate it). similarly, rosie rosenthal did assist in liberating those camps, though it would've been after the events shown this episode. idk if he saw one in that up-close way seen in this episode, but he could've (i should research this when i have time). plus, it would've felt weird Not having him acknowledge them at all. "shoe-horned" is an odd term to use here imo, as both scenes more-or-less center a jewish character (BoB's liebgott and MotA's rosie). the former show has survivors the characters can help, the latter shows no one left to help. the former has all of easy company there, the latter has rosie there all alone. rosie's scene felt deeply personal in that way. at the end of the day, both scenes are communicating different things. that doesn't make one better than the other when they aren't trying to be identical. (disclaimer, i'm not jewish, so i'd be interesting hearing from the perspective of someone who wrt whether or not they felt it was "shoe-horned")
i can understand if you've disliked the show post-episode 6 (and episode 6 was a very strong episode i'm ngl). eps 7 and 8 were weaker in many ways, even to me, so i get it. everyone's entitled to their own opinion (i'd be a hypocrite saying otherwise). just understand that this blog is run by someone who overall enjoys this show despite its flaws! basically, i encourage you to take this energy and make your own posts.

As good as the finale was I am still left in serious want for more storyline for the Tuskegee Airmen because wow they really got a quarter of an episode in ep8 and maybe 3 lines in this ep and we're supposed to be good?
We really should have had scenes with them across more episodes, and gotten at least a fraction of their story because the way they were shown really showed almost nothing

the romance/relationship system in bg3 is genuinely some of the worst designed shit i've ever seen in any game with that feature but at least the memes we get out of it are funny. once saw someone comment something along the lines of 'patch note: waving at gale will no longer cause him to buy a house for the two of you to retire in' and i've never recovered since

Camp cretaceous campers Birthdays Thougths/Headcanons:
Vibes but also actual thoughts and analysis because guess what? He made me overthink things. I'm predicting this is going to get long
[Sammy]
Ben
Foolish of me to think this was going to be easy, in my soul it was but alas my soul was wrong I guess. I initially though for him to share my birthmonth cause the vibes where there, but also I have to be coherent with what I said in Darius post and taking into account all informations avaible so... that soon had to be scrapped. Now I do not know what you feel and I'm in no way an expert or that much into astrology but for me he has to be a water sign in sun with probably some weird combination in rising or moon signs (just like me apparently). So our possibilities and time periods here are:
Pisces - 20th February to 20th March
Cancer- 22sd June to 22sd July
Scorpio - 23rd October 22sd November.
Now as I dig around, some sources claim that Mitch and Tiff reach Nublar around mid-March. Now not thinking of the implication that if this is true boy was Alone for 3 months on dinosaur killer island, this means that if I gave him his birthday in the first time frame we would have a matching problem with official information, like honestly I don't have the brain power to figure it out. Either he turns 15 in the middle of the season 2 time-skip between episode 2 and 3 Or he Just turned 14 but that would not make sense at all simply. SO I just take March out of the equations (No matching birthdays for us).
Let's skip ahead a little bit and let's talk about Scorpio. Gotta be honest this could work, specially thinking of s3 here. Also making an unintended connection, other than the liking fire, with the Scorpio Rex lol (really I haven't seen this used enough guys) plus the opposite sign to Scorpio is Taurus, Toro. Gotta be honest it would be a well thought out thing if this ends up being the truth. But I have already put Sammy's birthday in October and *check notes* November is taken too. So despite it kinda being perfect,I've gotta cross it out.
So this leaves us with Cancer and the June-July months, again I gotta say, I'm not big into this stuff, but one of my friends is, so when I do these sorta things I get their help, I suggest something and they look up the zodiac stuff and the little bits that they sent me for this do kind of work, tho they also agree that a lot of work is probably done by some other sign in rising/moon/other planets. Having is birthday on June, Pride Month, would probably be a bit on the nose. Sure he is like a bowl full of fruit for how fruity he is no matter the headcanon you have for him, but maybe that is a bit much, plus how actually more funny would it be if it was Just short of Pride? Yeah. Exactly. Also I just really have put too many birthdays in the final end of months so there is that too, I have to put some on the first half of a month.
This said, I will for now put his birthday in the first half of July. But Idk tell me if end of June would also be nice.
This does actively contradict the idea of him being the younger one between him and Sammy that most of the fandom and I personally also agreed with but, oh well. I don't know, If I find another month that gives me the same orange vibes I'll change Sammy's one and maybe move Ben in October.
Now watch Netflix/Dreamworks/Universal come out and release official birthdays once I'm done with all of them and him being either a Scorpio or something else entirely.
