Here's the lineup for the happily ever afton au that I never posted publicly, I figured since the computer I was drawing the comic on has been toast for a while I should just go ahead and throw these out
(This is just toothless venting which is more directed at the show than the fandom creatives, I'm not actually demanding this of anyone.)
I really need gifmakers to stop putting That Scene in their gifsets. I'd love to share and enjoy the really phenomenally beautiful or extremely funny (mutually exclusive or otherwise) gifsets they make but I also absolutely refuse to put That Scene on my blog. I don't want to see it and I don't want to make other people see it.
Important takeaways from actually reading Sudden Death:
SAKURA-NEE!!!
So many chapters spent discussing ants and ant-related metaphors...so so many chapters
Rinne criticizing ES's capitalistic tournament style and the unfair advantages they handed Knights to win overall, to the point where he teamed up with the overarching antagonist to make sure Knights were stripped of their privileges and money so there was no way they could win, and then using that money that would've ensure a crazy:b victory and distributing it equally among all the competing idol groups at the last minute so everyone wins, creating the need for a fair and equal playing field Sudden Death match where the best idol group wins not just the one with the most money
Whenever I hear people talk about Lorelei Blyndeff, they’re always like “Oh, poor little meow meow” and “I love her”, meanwhile I wanna shove her in a washing machine at the highest setting with a brick.
so tim totally put a hit out on toni bc he was worried she’d rat him out in court. G AMATO organized the operation with Joey as the hit man but the hit went wrong and her son ended up getting killed instead okay got it
I sit down to work on my self-indulgent Jon-isolation JE fic. I stare blankly at the screen. I change two words. It has been five minutes. There is literally Wii music stuck in my head and nothing else.
My cat stood on the keyboard twice. I genuinely think she has contributed more work to this than I have so far.
I love zero escape very much but the issue is that 999 is one of the best video games of all time, and tbh, in my opinion, the best storytelling (of any medium) of its entire decade
and a lot of people have VLR as their favorite in the series, so I went into VLR with high expectations, and VLR was extremely fun for me and it seemed like it was keeping up the writing caliber (if not the art quality) of 999 until about 85% of the way through it, when I figured out most of what it was actually doing, and then I just got progressively angrier and angrier as the game reached its conclusions (with a few moments of enjoyment and delight scattered through still, I won't lie)
and THEN I knew that ZTD is by far the least liked of the series, but knowing that my opinions about VLR are much harsher than other people's, I genuinely had no idea what its deal was and I went into it with zero expectations (no pun intended) and just with the attitude from the get-go that I was just gonna have fun doing puzzles and not get too invested. And so while VLR is a better game than ZTD, I was able to find all the shit ZTD pulls Rather Amusing instead of feeling like it was a betrayal of my hopes and expectations
