I opened tumblr today to see an absolutely heartbreaking post, about a person in their 40s feeling ostracized from the community due to their age. This isn't right! People fandoming in their 30s/40s/50s...Those epic sorts still fandoming in their 60s and above... Wise men, women and other who led the way. You shouldn't feel ostracized you should be respected! Sort after for your fandom know how. But either way, I'm sure most of the problem is us 30s + members of community feel a drift in a sea of 20 somethings. 😅 I don't know if this will help, but it may prove there are more fandom elders out there then you think. Hopefully it might help some people to connect. ❤️ So...
"average actor has 3 microexpressions a second" factoid actualy just statistical error. average actor has 0 microexpressions per second. David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who live in my shows & have over 10,000 microexpressions each second, are outliers adn should not have been counted
Look I get it if a walrus knocked at my door I would think about it for the rest of my life and wonder about it forever BUT if a real magical fairy knocked at my door I would have to rewire my entire knowledge of the universe in a way the walrus just does not require
I just read “Loveless” by Alice Oseman as someone who’s aroace and I am. Struggling.
I was expecting to love the book and I’m so, so happy to see aromanticism/asexuality in the public eye, but as far as the story/characters went I was really struggling. Maybe I’m too old for it but I found it… very lackluster. The characters felt deeply one-dimensional and I did not like the protagonist at all.
If any of you have read this book and really enjoyed the characters, I would love to hear more about it. Maybe I’m just missing something. But also if any of you have recommendations for LGBTQA+ media with engaging characters and an engaging story I would love some recommendations.
I also just watched Nimona for the first time and I absolutely adored it. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
