Time for a Chinatown bar hop! Three of Chinatown’s new bars are working together for a special Chinatown Bar Takeover, with each venue’s bartenders taking turns to guest shift at each other’s bars on 22 and 23 June. Head bartenders Kelvin Lee (Her House), Yap Siew Mun (Kapitan Haus) and Haniff Yon (Rust KL) will be serving their own special menus of three drinks each inspired by the food and history of Chinatown. Her House had opened in January, while Kapitan Haus was rebranded as its own bar in May. The newest was Rust KL, opening last month and renovated by just Haniff and his team. ☘ - Do they have any lucky charms/items of significance?

Depending on the universe, Romeo has quite a few things. In any universe where he has Trahearne as a parent, he has a small choker woven by the firstborn, a tiny, vibrant green cord with a yellow flower at the center, with a small blue gem at the very heart of the flower. He never takes this off, and if he's stressed and touches the gem, it glows and allows him to connect to the Dream.

In universes with Canach as a parent, he has a small, thorn-covered crown. This was a gift made for him when his father first learned of his royal bloodline. In certain weather, the crown sprouts various flowers between the thorns.

With Sayeh as his parent, he has a dagger crafted for him, with waves of the ocean trapped inside and stems of lilacs wrapping around the blade.

Dubhan, on the other hand, has a tarnished silver chain he wears on his left bicep, when not in his armor. When armored, he wraps it around the same wrist. He found this item as a young sapling, wandering through the asura gate to Lion's Arch. He'd been wandering around all day before a warden found him and brought him back. He isn't really sure why he's kept it all these years, but he has... And he can't think of letting it go now.

❤ - Does your character have a significant other/lover?

Oh yes, Romeo is very happy to talk about them! He has two partners, his beloved queen and their darling king. Ylva Heartmend, his lovely wife. She's a wonderfully strong norn spellbreaker, a general-queen who made an oath to restore Orrian strength. And their other, the lovely Tristan Tellus. The darling sylvari elementalist, curious and courageous, making an oath to restore Orrian beauty. Romeo loves both of them, and they both love him and each other.

In certain universes, Tristan is replaced by similar characters named Teague or Caorunn. All three belong to @salad-tales.

The Count has found love in his court, obsessive and terrifying in the Knight of Machinations and their shared squire. He will not let anyone touch them. In any way. Nightmare forbid anyone try to touch them romantically or sexually in front of him.

💪 - What is the source of their personal strength?

Romeo likes to believe his strength comes from courage and love. And he's right! He loves the world, he loves existing. And he was born with the powerful courage to stand up and fight in the face of adversity. He does all he can for the world and the people around him. He must, he has a duty.

Dubhan has a strength coming from love as well, though just as his love is twisted, the strength that comes from it is. It's a brutal strength ready to tear into anyone at the smallest of slights.

✇ - Do they have many fond childhood memories? Name a few.

Oh yes! Romeo has quite a few! Again, many of them depend on the universe, but a few constants are...

Visiting aunt Jonah and uncle Logan as a child, along with his parents and siblings. He loves getting to see them and play in their manor with their kids while their parents talk and enjoy the visit.

His first Wintersday with his new family. That day is forever in his memory, running through the Grove and enjoying the snow falling through the leaves of his new grandmother, the laughter of every generation of sylvari- from saplings to firstborn- around him as they played in the snow alongside him. Joining his wonderful extended family... Getting that choker, with Trahearne as a parent.

His dozens of times with Tristan, playing with the sprout as the two of them grew up together, and later learning their magic from Tristan's mother, training side by side under aunt Cor.

This magical looking Sorbus aucuparia (rowan, mountain ash, caorunn) tree on the Isle of Raasay, near Skye, Scotland, certainly deserves the associations it has with myth and folklore. From Greek mythology an eagle fighting with demons sheds both feathers and drops of blood becoming the leaves and the berries. In other cultures it has associations of protection and is planted near a home. This deciduous tree provides a valuable source of pollen and nectar for bees and other pollinating insects, while the berries are valuable autumn food for a range of birds.

Mini Ginny Crumbles
