about the ask about the 15 yr old boy and his father it reminds me of a ch from shaman king ( started in 1998) with usui lycan the father who believes that once they leave their home, he is no longer responsible for their well being) the scene appeared in chapter 183 one of the things he says is the strong feed upon the weak and and in response how can you say that if this continues your son will die didnt you come because youre worried about him is where he responds with I can have 1/2

2/2 another. that he is only there because his daughter begged him to come after him so now I'm going home building a raft ( the most he gave his son was some words about not giving up which led to the sons victory)

(Ahh so typical shonen shitty dad stuff and/or showing preferential treatment for his daughter. Either way....the family has issues.) The other angle is that, humans are weak alone, but they become strong only through helping each other make up for their weaknesses. Not alone, but together. (So the ironic thing is when those who preach social Darwinism as how humans socially function & prosper are usually the first to be weeded out.)

Slowly, hesitantly, a round-bodied Pokémon with rabbit-like ears and a raccoon-like tail eased around the trunk of the tree, onto a branch well above the girls' heads. It shivered at both the remains of the Grimm as they faded away, and at the weapons still in the humans' hands. "By any chance, did you see a really big one of these things pass by? I mean, still shaped like the rest but twice as big with lots of extra spikes and stuff?" Sentret's eyes widened, and she began nodding frantically. The poor little thing looked terrified just by the memory. "Did you see which way it went?" The little Pokémon pointed, and Ruby beamed up at her. "Thanks! It should be safe around here now, but be careful just in case, okay?" She turned to her teammates. "Let's go!" She and Zubat hurried off in the direction Sentret had indicated. The others followed, after a moment spent sharing incredulous and bemused looks. "Ruby," Weiss called, "how did you know-?" "I jumped off that branch when I was going after those Nevermores earlier, saw her then."

1) “Oh yeah Knuckles, even at such high speeds this guy is a tough nut to crack, isn`t he?

Yeah now that`s cool, this is the second pro hero that is having trouble against Rappa, the legend, the myth.”-  Rappa is an uncomplicated fighter. This does not make him an easy one to handle. 

2) “Basically, Rappa has a brain, but he is not using it to fight because it is too slow, instead his body has picked-up the slack on its own, just like Darwin said would happen.”- Kinda the opposite deal with Knuckles actually, now I think on it. His brain moves too fast for his body to keep up, so he gets to experience things in slow motion – and even with his Quirk-using body being faster than most, it’s implied his enhanced perception is still faster than his movements.

3) “Yeah, I don`t think that Rappa believed that one to be honest. If there is one person that can tell when a punch actually landed and how hard it was, it is Rappa.

He`s not gonna fall for this shit”- Rappa has no patience for tricks. This is not because he doesn’t get them or can’t tell when they’re being used, he just finds them unmanly in a true fight.

SO THIS AIN`T GONNA END WELL FOR KNUCKLES”- well, it would be, if actually winning the fight was what Knuckles cared about yet. Not quite at that stage where he’s in the fight for the sake of having a good brawl.

6) “Yeah look at Rappa there, that`s not disappointment over the fight not lasting until death, he noticed you faked-out from it, he`s just trying to understand why you are giving up on such a fun fight knuckles.”- Past-Duster is still married to the job rather than the idea of beating down punk criminals to clean up the streets

7) “Wow this infirmary sucks, you guys could`ve at least put a few curtains up”- If they actually gave a damn about ‘treating’ these free guinea pigs properly anyway…

8) “OF ALL THE PEOPLE I EXPECTED TO SEE THIS CHAPTER

BUT I`M NOT COMPLAINING”- This arc has all the violence-loving maniacs of MHA under one roof!

From church records to baptisms: Original sources about English-born Packards

A Packard family in Maine in 1924. Likely not related to me, but its one of the only photos of a Packard family I could find, as other narratives of the Packard family here, here, and here, don't seem to have photos, just text.

Dale H. Cook, on one of his "Plymouth Colony Pages," specifically one on Samuel Packard, (archived here) he cites a varying number of sources which all come from microfilm of the Family History Library (FHL). Thanks to going to a family history affiliate center, I am working on viewing the microfilm (which is currently online) of the following collections:
