Boundaries

— We welcome questions about our system, innerworld, experiences, etc. We draw the line at asking about our trauma. Any questions along the lines of “what’s your trauma?” “what happened to you to make the system?” will not be tolerated (with rare exceptions). That is for us to talk about when and if we’re ready.

— We have some fictives/fictional introjects in our system. If they choose to disclose their sources, please do not treat them like the fictional characters. This has happened to us before and we’d like to avoid that in the future. We are not your blorbo, no matter how shaped we may seem to you.

— Don’t involve us in syscourse. Just don’t. I’ve seen what that does to people’s mental health. Debate what you like, but keep it away from our page.

— Some of our parts are in individual relationships with people outside the system, but we consider ourselves collectively single. We aren’t open to any outside romantic relationships at the moment.

the toons: just going about their everyday life! some of them have some scars and they're dealing with them in different ways but for the most part they're just being silly :)

been making toontown versions of lightwave and monochrome and it’s weird cuz the toontown versions have so much more to do with each other without reincarnation involved. it’s like

the originals: these guys existed and they had whole political campaigns about which of their world views should be the one that rules eris but then they got killed by a giant eldritch space monster. also they’re the reincarnations of these other two guys from a secret planet?? and then they reincarnated into more people???

the au versions: these guys used to star in films together but their relationship off set was very similar to the one they had in their films, with monochrome trying to get up to mischief and lightwave trying to rein him in. off set, though, lightwave was looking out for monochrome’s safety and was genuinely concerned that he would hurt himself with his own silliness. this concern quickly spread to cover all toons as the years went by, and by the time the cogs invaded, lightwave was sold on a more orderly toontown if it meant no one hurt themself with their silliness. he even teamed up with monochrome to destroy cogs so they could buff their laff and gags, though lightwave always had the intention of joining the cogs at some point and their joint visits to cog hqs was so he could gauge the pros and cons of joining their respective branch. after lawbot hq was discovered, lightwave worked to get his lawbot disguise as quickly as possible, then worked tirelessly to get that disguise promoted to a big wig, all while slowly leaving monochrome behind as he went forward with his tasks. once he had gotten his disguise to big wig, he abandoned toontown - and monochrome - to live life as a cog. at first he was simply trying to keep toons safe from inside, but the anti-silliness propaganda throughout cog culture slowly morphed his views until he lost sight of his original goal. meanwhile, monochrome started living in the streets of the brrrgh and completely disowned the rules on gags placed by the toon council. using the knowledge he gained from time he worked with lightwave, he regularly infiltrates cog hqs to steal gags from gag barrels and often taunts lightwave when he sees him in lawbot hq. while he does help out toons in trouble, he never sticks around and generally works alone. he fully believes that the other toons aren’t silly enough to defeat the cogs and need to free themselves from the rules they’ve made for themselves. lightwave is dead to monochrome. monochrome is nothing more than a nuisance to lightwave. these two have a whole co-workers to friends to enemies arc. i’m going to lose it.
