✨🌸 RELEASE! 🌸✨
In honor of pride month and my birthday I decided to theme the rewards this month around my favorite gay ass 90s magical girl anime, Cardcaptor Sakura!
🌸 This month's custom font is a semi bubble inspired by the kawaii handwriting trend that hit really big in the 80s. It has hand drawn floral details on all capital letters and numbers :) available for all patrons £5 and up
Tumblr media
🌸 For brushes this month I was inspired by the four element cards :) you can get all 12 different brushes at the £7 tier or higher
Tumblr media
🌸 Cardcaptor Sakura has some of the most iconic props in anime, so I went ahead and made some of my all time faves! Both Keros are rigged and have animation-ready topology, and the star wand is also partially rigged and has wing blendshapes! The card has empty fields for art and text so the user can add their faves in, and both card and book are detailed perfectly and make great background props. Available for the £10 and £15 tier subscribers!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌸 I mostly decided on Cardcaptor Sakura because it's so chock full of iconic looks! It's one of the the few animes where characters actually have outfits and costumes that change day to day, so I decided to pick my favorite outfits from the 93 anime, the 2016 anime and the movie! These three are fully rigged, and have extra bones in their hair and clothes for better posing and animation! They are available for the £15 patrons, along with the printable file of the month!
Tumblr media
Instead of several smaller printable models, there's just one exclusive printable this month for £15 patrons, honoring the original ot3 ✨ Sakura has two hands, and her two loved ones can hold them concurrently!!
Tumblr media
✨Also✨
🌸🌸 I was feeling generous this month, and because I fell short a brush and a font, I decided to make two more printable files available at all tiers! Some solo character printables for the less shippy among us 🌸🌸
Tumblr media
🌸 Sakura, securing the bag (a card), her cape flying out behind her.
🌸 Kero, surrounded by dessert food and candies, tucking into a strawberry.
Everything drops July 15th at 12:30 BST 🌸
SUB TO MY PATREON FOR IMMEDIATE ACCESS!

Why Not Buy Bootlegs?
Today, we’re telling you exactly why people could - and should not - buy bootleg items.
We’re primarily looking at magical girl wands from series like Pretty Cure and Sailor Moon, but the below also applies to a variety of figures and props from across all kinds of fandoms and collectibles.
#1: The Cost
One of the biggest arguments people put forward about buying bootlegs is the price - but that isn’t as strong an argument as people seem to think.
Pretty Cure’s Flower Echo Wand retailed for just 1,300 JPY - that’s roughly 13 USD. Meanwhile, the most common bootleg of this wand retails for also 20 USD, and is primarily sold on Chinese exclusive websites. Yes, you read those prices correctly, it was originally more expensive to get the fake!
Now, this has been out of production for years, which does push up the market value a bit. But it is still significantly easier and cheaper to purchase secondhand versions of the real thing, going for as little as 15 USD new in box on secondhand sites like Mandarake, which ships globally, or Mecari JP.
Tumblr media
And this isn’t exclusive to less well known franchises.
Bootleg versions of Sailor Moon Live’s clear Moon Rod go up to 30 USD. On the other hand, the real thing goes for as little as, you guessed it, 30 USD when in used but working condition, with new in box ones going for 50 USD. You can’t even buy two bootlegs for that!
Tumblr media
That doesn’t mean all of the “real” items are always cheaper or easily obtained - perhaps ironically, series like China’s Balala are difficult to obtain official merchandising for when outside of China, but bootlegs of it are remarkably rampant.
Plus, any high-quality replicas such as Proplica items will typically cost anywhere from 10 to 100 times as much as their fake counterparts, and have the higher quality structure, screen accuracy, and gimmicks, that the fakes will lack.
#2: Accessibility
We’ve already covered above that these can easily be bough used on Mandarake - check out THIS POST listing tons of globally shipping anime merch stores  - so this argument already feels flat for us.
But, there is some merit to it. Simple chibi style bootlegs can often be bought in local dollars stores for very little, while larger versions are easily found on underregulated conglomerate giants like Amazon and Aliexpress. On the other hand, the real thing takes a lot more patience for preorders and secondhand shop scouring, knowledge of stores - which again can be found in the link above - or even the use of proxies to purchase off sites like Taobao and Mecari. And, as mentioned above, some official items may be exclusive to their respective countries, which can require extra skills and resources.
While none of these things are truly difficult to learn, they can seem daunting and confusing to new collectors, and will put off people who prefer instant gratification.
#3: Cosplay & Kids
This, to us, is the most sensible and excusable reason to buy bootlegs. When it can be difficult, expensive, and time consuming to get your hands on the real thing, especially those that are vintage or limited edition, the last thing you want is for a child or cosplay pose to destroy it!
The same thing goes for wanting to paint it to make an OC weapon, especially given many bootlegs are already incorrect colour schemes that may work perfectly for your design without the need to deface and devalue the real item.
Sometimes, the real thing just isn’t realistic, at the end of the day.
#4: Sometimes They’re Just Cool(er)
We’d love to own that ridiculous spider-man crossover wand, and this blog’s owner couldn’t resist this telescoping Cardcaptor Clow wand made of metal. So many bootlegs, especially the crossovers, feature strange and cool new combinations of characters, art styles, colours, and even product materials.
Tumblr media
The vast majority of official items also have very standardized gimmicks, especially when buying from within a franchise. This can feel boring very quickly! Many bootlegs have additional or unique tricks, such as all these different bubble blowers, or the ones that work as remotes to control a spinning doll, that make them feel more interactive and fresh.
That doesn’t mean the real thing can’t be fun or innovative, but they are often limited to what is depicted on screen on order to make sales.
#5 Art Theft
At the end of the day, bootlegs are art theft. When you choose to support theft over artists, them and the companies producing their work miss out on money. And without money, shows end.
Sailor Moon's sales were credited with providing the necessary funds for new seasons, not the actual viewership or manga sales. If that money had been spent on bootlegs instead of the real thing, the reality is, the Sailor Moon anime may have ceased to exist. So it is essential, especially for smaller ventures, for fans to purchase the real thing and not the fake in order for the series to thrive.
Tumblr media
#6 - Market Value
You may be surprised to learn that bootlegs, in and of themselves, have a surprisingly active market and fanbase that’s separate from the real wands.
As we mention on the post about this Korean Sailor Moon bootleg, all the good factors above, along with the virality, age and location of the item - which adds to scarcity - can lead to a bootleg being just as, or even more valuable that, the real thing. Banned items like the Evil Stick, which find notoriety outside of magical girl spheres, can often be worth far more than their original dollar store tag.
However, all value is relative, and as trends come and go, the price of bootlegs tend to fluctuate far more than the real thing.
Would you buy a bootleg item? Let us know below, and share this with your friends for their thoughts!

CCS: Clear Card Ch. 80
FINAL CHAPTER! I actually read this the day it came out, but didn't get to finish this post and it was sitting in my drafts for a few days TuT. This chapter can be found on CLAMP-net’s YouTube Channel. As always, please check out @meimi-haneoka's post on the latest chapter for EN-JPN translation differences!!
Links for previous chapter reactions can be found here.
Reading Reactions:
And for our final chapter, our wonderful protagonist/heroine, Sakura
Whoaaa, so did Sakura split the books in order to better hide them?
Fujitaka-papa so kind.
I also can't help but made me think of Yuuko's shop...
Eriol and Sakura keeping us readers up to speed on what's happened XD
WHERE IS MOMO???
Awww Flight is still there!!
UM, THE KEYS?? MORE TRC REFERENCES???
Touya is the same as ever haha~always teasing, but always so kind
Lol, love that we can see Kero-chan and Touya being in the same scene even when things are back to "daily life" things
SYAORAN
SYAOSAKU ARE SO CUTE GAHHH
I really love how Yukito's bonding with Nakuru and Spinel~
AKIHO TuT
I'm sad that she's transferring, but at the same time, am happy that she's happy.
WHAAA STOPPED TIME!! STOPPED TIME?!!
I wonder if one of the major factors of Eriol deciding to help them stemmed from Clow & Yuuko stuff... oof, not the TRC/Holic feels again
Yes, KEEP TALKING KAITO! So many overdued words!!
asdfjsldjfj REAL NAME REVELATION!
I'm SO HAPPY THAT THEY'RE TALKING!!! TUT
Annnnd they're still keeping a space for her (i.e. Eriol buying the house so Akiho's stuff remains, Akiho's room remaining as is in the Kinomoto home), even tho she's leaving, she has a place with the people she's leaving behind, a place to return to
Awww it's cute that the boys are talking ahahah--they can actually be friends!! They even exchanged numbers!!
asdfjslajlk AKIHO HAS A REAL NAME TOO
It makes so much sense too!! TuT
THE END (????)
~~
Wow, just wow.
I'm sad that we didn't get to see Momo returning... I'm hoping that the special chapter that's coming out next year will address this... is it too much to ask???
For the most part, I am satisfied with this ending. There are some hinted tie-ins with TRC (the tattoo, the wand), prob a bit more than I expected, so I wonder if TRC will uhhh get a little jumpstart, or if we can see what's been going on over at the other side of things... Clear Card arc's end leaves things very hopeful. Even though the way they talked about how Kaito's time being "stopped" makes me think about Yuuko, there seems to be so much more hope that Akiho & Kaito will be able to find a solution to this, whereas with Yuuko, there seemed to be so much regret and problems as a result.
Speaking of Akiho & Kaito (I'll still call them as such LOL, their true names can be just for the ones they shared with... like how TRC SyaoSaku will always be SyaoSaku to me even after their name revelation), I'm glad they were able to have that talk in the end. With Kaito apologizing for his actions, and knowing WHAT he did wrong. As sad as I feel about the two of them leaving their friends, the fact that they will be together makes me feel very happy. I found it so cute at the end where Akiho shares her true name with Sakura and not Kaito yet bc she's still a bit upset with him XD oh Akiho~
This is so surreal because back then, it felt like such a far-fetched dream for there to be a CCS sequel. I still remember when TRC was FIRST announced ~2003 (wow 20 yrs ago), I thought it was a sequel since it's featuring Syaoran and Sakura. And when it was addressed that it's not the SAME two, I was hoping we will at least find out what happens after end of CCS bc of CLAMPverse (what I called CLAMP's version of multiverse). Seeing an ACTUAL CCS sequel just made me so so happy (although a part of me feared: but at what cost??!!--I think this was slight TRC/Holic trauma speaking). There definitely were some dark moments, especially involving Akiho, but I'm glad it had a good end. The anime adaptation was great as well, so I really look forward to the continuation.
CCS was the first anime series that I watched (USA dub) that got me into anime; in fact, it's still my favorite anime series of all time! But I was a very immature fan back then and it's kinda embarassing to admit LOL. I used to really dislike Meiling back then and wondered why they had to create her at all when I found out she was anime-only character (I saw her as a threat to SyaoSaku relationship). I also did not like the idea of Eriol x Kaho because I liked Eriol x Tomoyo more (ET still has a very special place in my heart... being one of my earliest uhh... fanon ships)... it was also to the point that I kinda disliked Kaho, until I rewatched CCS series in it's entirety. I love both Meiling and Kaho A LOT now btw. But gosh, I was such a silly child then... cuz I literally was XD I guess my point is that I'm glad that as an older fan, I am still able to follow Sakura's journey and the "essence" of the series/characters has not changed even after all this time.
Until next time~

" how come you don't make me cute things, but you made such cuteness for of those children?"
Tumblr media
❝ oh, is that so?  ❞  yuuko was exaggerating. again. clow liked to believe that everything he makes is cute in some way. or at least, had a form of eye catching aesthetic. perhaps on some level this was her wanting attention from him rather than simply asking.
in reality, he was looking towards longevity for her. yuuko's aesthetic was more mature than most, and he enjoyed indulging her in that but if she was going to be jealous over a sealing wand....
Tumblr media
❝  perhaps if you did more cute things, it would inspire me towards what you are asking for. ❞   he could play this game, too.

So uhh I made our boys with the pastel aesthetic but Mick is more of a pastel goth. Also riffing off my fave headcanon that I was bouncing ideas with the always sensational Paola @mishervellous 💖
Where Mickey is a secret cardcaptor fan bc he was forced to watch it with Mandy 😆 Mickey got the cardcaptor wand from from Ian after he got him the clow cards as a present 💝 lol & maybe he stole the pendant from Mandy.
While Ian has his pastel cottagecore aesthetic in his heart overalls getting ready to pick his tomatoes 🍅❤️

I'm currently working on another project for a Magical Girl series, and this time's gonna be a fully original creation and more lowkey, Majokko-inspired.
This project's gimmick will be... Tarot Cards!
Tumblr media
The catch is that the cards can manifest into anything based on what each card represents.
Okay, maybe it isn't THAT original, but if I am allowed to give an excuse, I'm working with REAL Tarot this time, not a fictional one like The Clow.
Each card can manifest into a force of mystic nature unto the user and/or the world around them.
The Major Arcana
0 - The Fool: Dancing (everyone in the room will start to dance, with the user guiding the people affected);
I - The Magician: Grimoire (it materializes a magic spellbook that contains information about the tarot cards);
II - The High Priestess: Time Stop (time around the user will temporarily freeze);
III - The Empress: Fertility/Earth (all sorts of plants will grow at the user's command);
IV - The Emperor: Eagle's Eye (it grants the user with a stronger and clearer vision);
V - The Hierophant: Hypnosis (the user can temporarily control and guide others);
VI - The Lovers: Doppelganger (a physical copy of the user is manifested, but can sustain itself for a short period of time);
VII - The Chariot: Speed Enhanced (it temporarily grants super speed to the user);
VIII - Strength: Physical Strength Enhanced (it temporarily grants herculean strength to the user);
IX - The Hermit: Shield (it grants the user a magic shield for defensive attacks);
X - The Wheel of Fortune: Shapeshifting/Disguise (the user can temporarily change their form/disguise themselves);
XI - Justice: Agility Enhanced (it temporarily grants agility and flexibility to the user);
XII - The Hanged Man: Upside Down (the user hits the target with an upside down illusion to confuse them);
XIII - Death: Slumber (despite the morbid name, this card can grant to either the user or a person of their choosing a revitalizing sleep);
XIV - Temperance: Clarity (the user is gifted with a random memory token of their journey, symbolizing their growth);
XV - The Devil: Chains (Whatever is threatening the user will be restrained with magic chains);
XVI - The Tower: Decay (whatever object or structure that the user touches with the card will be destroyed);
XVII - The Star: Healing (small-to-medium injuries and/or illnesses can be healed);
XVIII - The Moon: Ghost/Ice (it temporarily grants the user the power of invisibility, as well as ice manipulation);
XIX - The Sun: Light/Fire (a small sunfire is summoned. Can be used for either illumination or magic-based attacks);
XX - Judgement: Guidance (the card turns into a sprite that leads the way for the user to follow);
XXI - The World: Portal (a magic gate is summoned by the user).
The Minor Arcana
The Pentacles' Court: Contract (every time there is a job to be done, a magic contract is summoned);
The Wands' Court: Wand Summoning + Fairy Wings (it gifts the user with a magic wand, plus with flight ability);
The Swords' Court: Sword Summoning (it grants the user a sword for offensive attacks);
The Cups' Court: Mermaid Metamorphosis (it grants the user the ability to breathe underwater, plus with a mermaid form).
