[ AU: This Life is Mine ]

⚠️ THIS IS A MaDD BLOG!! FANDOM DNI ⚠️

A M@rvel AU following the events of [movie]. A lot happens but the tldr is that Gobby & Normie get different bodies thanks to their universe's version of [this dude]. The AU follows Goblin as he learns to have a life of his own. It's mostly random scenarios that are loosely connected — honestly, it can be viewed as a bunch of AUs stacked on top of each other at this point.

But this is one of the Arcs/AUs! It's quite a bit into the timeline, so I'm gonna skip over some stuff but the only important thing is that Goblin is now called Salem Green & works at an animal shelter. There he meets Claude Kingsley, and they immediately hit it off. Claude does not have the best home life, so Salem eventually accidentally becomes a parental figure towards them. And since Salem is also a vigilante — Changeling — he takes Claude under his wing and teaches them how to fight crime, making Claude his sidekick. They are cute, and very chaotic together.

We've only just recently managed to work Emory into the plot — much to his annoyance — so there isn't much with him other than he's uh. magic. A powerful wizard dude, basically. idk how he meets Salem & Claude yet, but it's probably something to do with Salem being a fae creature thing.

Heartslabyul is the embodiment of SoraMafuUraSaka's RPG... it's so chaotic, but it's also so much fun. Riddle rages, Ace instigates, Trey pacifies, Deuce regrets everything, and Cater is here to slay the game with his Mona. Although since there's only four to a co-op team, someone has to cheer from the sidelines (it's usually Trey; he's near Riddle so he can play damage control ;;;;). Every Monday reset they get together to fight Childe in the Golden House because it gives Riddle much internal peace to beat the life out of each Childe phase (because he may or may not be picturing Ace there when he's annoyed).

Ace being a Childe main is just so fitting to me. orz they are both menaces, but one is a war criminal and the other is something akin to a court jester. (Omg an edit like that... Ace is number eleven of the Fatui Harbingers now. >:D)

Mighty Nein playing Stardew Valley

yall REALLY liked the bells hells one, so i thought i'd do it again! Asks are open if you want to suggest any cosy headcanons, but i hope you like this one😊

Caduceus - Ok caduceus would be obsessed with this game. Forest farm, absolutely despises joja, wants a junimo hut because he loves the junimos but doesnt get one because he wants them to be happy in the spirit world. His farm is filled with trees and beehouses, and he roommates with krobus because they're cool!

Jester - Jester, like cad, is obsessed with this game. She loves to play co-op with anyone whos available, and spends WAY too much time on the character customisation (tbh i think thats just laura) she has multiple outfits for every occasion, and is invested in marnie and lewis' secret relationship. She keeps the pants, obviously. Also she has an *interesting* looking flower garden.

Veth - Absolute chaos. As soon as she learns how to craft bombs, she goes ham fluffernuttering the mines. Honestly forgets its a farming game. Just loves to mess with people and cause chaos.

Fjord - Fjord chose the beach farm. After spending ages gathering materials to craft sprinklers, he realises he cant use them on the beach farm. Cries and joins jester's co-op farm because she knows what shes doing. They end up getting married in game but jester gets annoyed because he forgot to change into his wedding tuxedo before the ceremony.

Yasha - Yasha kind of does her own thing. Doesnt really realise the community center is a thing, she just goes to the mines and keeps a nice flower garden, when shes not playing co-op with beau, she will marry leah. But obviously she will marry beau when she can.

Beau - Beau is a minmaxer. Checklists and charts everywhere to get the maximum amount of money. Shes the type that watches stardew iceberg videos. It takes a bit to help yasha understand the game but shes content to water the crops while beau tries to complete everything as fast as possible.

Caleb - Realises he can get a cat in the game, spends a week trying to make frumpkin's area as nice as possible. Just uses stardew as a break to just chill out. Favourite season is fall and really wants shane to get better. Hes really just an averagd stardew player.

Essek - Essek actually got caleb into stardew. They have a really nice co-op farm together which they have spent far too much time on. He really wants to download stardew valley expanded but caleb is content with the amount of stuff there already is in the game.

Kingsley - if im being honest i havent caught up on mighty nein reunited, but lets just assume theres gonna be chaos. A lot of chaos.

I made a game for the Global Game Jam

This weekend has been the GGJ24 and I went to a presential site for the weekend. Here is the game if you want to check it out:

It's a cute local co-op game about two frog jesters who have to make their king laugh by playing instruments while they are chained. Both players have to use the same controller and coordinate to perform well.

Devlog / Idk I just want to share my experience

The game has some bugs that make it impossible to play well after the first game, so you have to close and open. We couldn't polish it as much as we would have liked but I had a ton of fun and I learnt a lot.

I went as a 3D and Tech artist, and I loved doing that part. I loved making the cute little frog (it also has a cute ass). And I enjoyed a lot making the shaders and particles for the game.

We had to change the main mechanic mid jam. Originally, you had to hold a sitck with fire, and throw it it the right moment so you don't burn, but it was being a bit complicated to make in engine, so we dithed it and added a falling bird. That's why the game feels a bit empty. Maybe if we have time we can add something to round it up a little bit (that's what every person that finishes a jam says but never does. But who knows, the game I'm going to publish came from the last edition of this jam).

Anyway, the weekend was great, I had fun and talked to a lot of great people. Now time to go back to studying and working on Mycelium Heaven.

Have some more Binary Stars' Impact silliness because that crossover is stuck in my head. Specifically, In-Game stuff.

As always, tagging @arandompeep for this, since he unintentionally inspired me to make this whole crossover thingy.

Edda would be DPS, while Aven is more Support/ healer based. Also, they could switch between their elemental magic (Electro/ Cryo and Anemo/ Pyro respectively), but there's a pretty long cooldown between switches.

They could also have a pretty cool burst that requires both Aven and Edda's burst meter to be full. Basically, it's the green sword attack... and the Non-active character would remain on-field for a few seconds.

They also have matching dialogue when they're both being added to the party. Or specifically, they actually acknowledge each other if you add both of them to the same party. This also applies to co-op, where they both comment on things.

They also have matching, tarot card themed skins. Edda has a fool/ Jester skin while Aven has a magician skin. Not too sure on any other skins/ costumes.

I think their themes may be dynamic, and switches between the two in their trailer.

Basically, the theoretical quest follows these two after they are found by the Traveller and Co. A few nights ago, two mysterious meteors, one blue and one orange, fell near Windrise. It also follows Traveller, Edda, Aven and other characters learning about what happened, why Aven and Edda appeared in Teyvat and why there's suddenly an inflex of strange beings with elemental prowess that seems completely out-of-place in Teyvat, including duel elementals and even a completely foreign element.

Also, they have two boss mats, one for the choosen character, and one for both. Basically, Edda and Aven have separated boss mats, but they also have a third mat for both characters.

Basically, one if their boss mat (Green) just so happens to be from the new boss... which is Summum.

Yep, Summum appears in this. The Puppet part also comes back.

"What if?" My Pitch for the Dreamcast 2

So after the bird app got bought by a rich moron, I got to thinking: what company would I impulsively buy if I had more money than common sense? I mean I wouldn't, I'd probably try and end world hunger or something but if there was anything left I'd just buy SEGA.

Like, for a laugh.

This started out as a design exercise for coming up with a launch title library but I got carried away...

So here's my plan:

The Actual Console

I think I'd like to honour VMU of the original Dreamcast and seeing Sony's recent announcements, we wouldn't be the only ones hopping on the Nintendo Switch Bandwagon.

The Actual console could stand to be a bit more powerful than the Switch but it doesn't have to be a top of the line behemoth. focus on making it fun, rather than powerful, thats how Nintendo sold a buttload this generation.

Launch Titles

Sonic Adventure 3

Ok, so right off the bat this one is a bit tricky.

Let me be clear: I LOVED Sonic The Hedgehog when I was a kid, but I'm sorry, I'm beginning to think there has never actually been a good Sonic game. Even my favourite ones haven't aged gracefully. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are a bit crap, I think we can all agree there. I love them games but the lack of polish on display, considering its SEGA's flagship title, is inexcusable. And since a SEGA console needs to ship with a "mainline" Sonic game (we've seen what happens when it doesn't), I say we go with Sonic Adventure 3 but maybe, like... good?

The idea of a 3D, momentum-based mascot platformer isn't a bad one. In fact, it's kind of a resurging genre in certain indie dev circles.

Twitter user @Cornf_Blue has been developing what looks like the best Sonic Adventure game Sonic Team never made. Actually, let's just hire this dude to run the project.

I'd also refer you to Spark The Electric Jester.

IT CAN BE DONE.

I'm not going to go into too much detail about my idea for SA3 cause I might do another "What If?" post specifically about that at some point but basically, here's the gist of it:

3 Playable Characters are Sonic, Tails & Knuckles

Stages connected by a hub world the player can explore as they like in SA1 but make it bigger and more open to exploration like Sonic Frontiers

3 Kinds of stages: Sonic "speedy" stages, Tails shooty mech stages and Knuckles treasure hunting stages like in SA2 (but keeping it to 3 characters instead of 6 so the team isn't spread itself thin and can focus on delivering quality over quantity).

Special challenge modes like Boss Rush, Speedrun mode etc..

In fact, just put in a bunch of speedrun-friendly features and modes.

Chao Garden! (but more on that later)

Power Stone 3

You need a big, fun multiplayer game in your launch titles and what's more fun than a 4 player fighting game with items and (kind of) platforming elements? It'd be fun to have a big co-op story mode and an online lobby system for multiplayer matches, but mostly, if you've got more than one kid and you're buying them a console for Christmas or whatever, this is the game you'll want to get with it.

Jet Set Radio: Legends of Tokyo-To

Another SEGA IP that started on the Dreamcast, this game was just a ton of fun. The game had a VERY distinct 1999/2000 timestamp on it and I think we're juuuust starting to see the nostalgia wave from that period swelling, so instead of going to the future like the game's sequel, it continues immediately after the plot of the first one. Get Hideki Naganuma, Cibo Matto, Guitar Vader and the rest of the gang back to do the soundtrack, keep the cool cel shading art style BUT make it an open-world game, having all of Tokyo-To available to roam around in, with different gangs controlling different territories, skating and tagging challenges, customizable art (players can make their own tags), and a faction system with rival NPCs (kind of like the nemesis system in those Lord of The Ring games but with graffiti instead of murdering). Heck, get the folks who did Bomb Rush Cyberfunk to make it.

Phantasy Star Online II

So it turns out this game already exists! And it's free to play! I didn't know that before I started making this post but honestly, that's perfect. If there's already a community of players, however small, that's already a lot of the legwork out of the way. Get some crossplay in there and you're set! Imagine getting the new console and your launch title but then, on the home menu, you see Phantasy Star Online II available to download for free! Old school players can enjoy the influx of new blood, revitalizing the game with a massive story event like new colonies being discovered or something, to explain the arrival of all the new players.

Crazy Taxi 3

YAHYAHYAHYAHYAH!

Everybody loves Crazy Taxi, there'd be something wrong with you if you didn't. Honestly, there's not much I'd do in terms of changing up the formula except maybe add a company management element to it, like you're trying to build a little taxi service where the main characters work. Upgrading cars, drumming up business and expanding to new areas. Just something to balance out the relentless fast-paced arcade gameplay. Online leaderboards for challenges and a local multiplayer with a versus mode (see who makes the most money) and a co-op mode (try to reach a set goal together) too, for good measure.

Bayonetta 4

Bayonetta isn't an OG Dreamcast title but IS currently an extremely successful franchise that would absolutely help sell some units on launch. I'm putting it in here because it's published by SEGA so I guess it's technically their IP? But it's also a Nintendo exclusive so I don't know how that would work. Platinum Games has a 4 contract deal with SEGA, but whatever, for this little exercise, pretend SEGA keeps the publishing rights to all their stuff as they move back into making consoles.

Virtua Tennis Pro

So we need a sports title in our launch library and I think it should be Vitrua Tennis. EA Sports games aren't exclusive anymore so you would eventually your FIFAs and whatnot, but it'd be nice to have a proper SEGA sports game again. For this one though, it would have a big, cinematic NBA 2K17 style where you're a rising young tennis star on your way to the top, singing deals, beating rivals etc... Get some competitive online multiplayer in there too of course.

Skies of Arcadia: Dusk

I've always loved the idea of Skies of Arcadia, a big, bright and colourful swashbuckling adventure, and you need one of those in your launch library, but I only played a little bit of the GameCube version unfortunately.

That doesn't matter cause I think I know exactly what to do with this one. Make a traditional RPG title, honouring the franchise's heritage BUT, since we now know how to make a fun pirate game thanks to Assasins's Creed IV: Black Flag, we add in the ship boarding/crew capturing mechanics from that game! So imagine you have the trusty, old-school dungeon crawling/battle systems when you get of your ship but you can get back in and sail through the skies, looting other airships and slowly building your fleet!

Chao Garden

Kinda like Nintendo Land but with Chaos!

Remember the Mii characters in Nintendo consoles? What if they were cute instead of creepy? Every console would have a Chao Garden where the player would create, customise and raise their own Chao. That Chao would also serve as the player's online avatar when connecting with friends and shopping in the SEGA store or whatever.

Players would be able to meet other Chaos, have them compete in minigames and lots more. Essentially the SA2 Chao garden but online. And of course, this would also connect to our Sonic Adventure 3 Chao Garden.

Obviously, this would extend to the console's portability function, like how the 3DS could actively search for the profiles when the user would walk around with it, letting you meet other Chaos!

Make a mobile app for it too so you can check in on your Chao.

okayyyy so first of sumeru archon quest interlude will happen and it seems to be more focused on scaramouche and the fatui plans. the 1st harbinger, pierro seems to have ordered dottore to trick scaramouche into thinking they made him the god he was always supposed to be because dottore said smt along the lines of “jester, i have completed the mission you gave me”.

2nd. it seems like us the traveler, scaramouche and nahida are not done with our quest with the irmunsul tree since smt that looks alike was shown and the lumine va said nahida has asked us to do smt with the irmunsul tree but i forgor💀

3rd. to me it seems like dottore had fucked up with scara’s mind and memories since in the trailer it was shown that scaramouche was having a mental breakdown while saying “dottore” in a very hurt, traumatized and betrayed voice. my poor wifey leave him alone yall😭😭😭

4th. inazuma will have an event, there will be another event that you have to collect balloons, akin to sonic around every part of the map and the windtrace event has returned!!! i’m so excited since this is my first windtrace event ever since i only started playing genshin thru the middle of infinite ayaya banner💀

5th. introducing the characters’ and their gameplay. scara definitely looks fun and guess what!! HE REFUNDS MORA WHEN ASCENDING BOW OR A CATALYST WEAPON!!! YEEESSSS!! (even tho i have 17million mora)

6th. faruzan. she’s def more interesting than she looks since her backstory was briefly introduced by lumine va. faruzan is apparently 200 hundred year old at least. she started by being the best puzzle solving person from the akademiya 100 years ago and the notes she left behind became one of the best materials. sadly she once got trapped in a domain for 100 years which caused her to become immortal and now she has returned and seems to be working as a mentor. also she seems to be a good swirl character. her burst was similiar to yelan and xingqui’s but instead of floating beside her it floats around and it buffs friends in co-op and decreases enemies’ anemo dmg.

7th. just in case you haven’t known 3.3 first half will have scara and itto while second half will have ei and ayato.

8th. also another thing i forgot. it seems like scara’s battlesuit, the large mecha seems to be sentient in some form or maybe it’s controlled by dottore cuz towards the end scara was standing against the mecha as if he was about to fight it. honestly what’s up with the raidens and their sentient puppet mechas🙄🙄

Tessa Blanchard made her way out and said that she already has a match tonight and that Tessa no longer has any interest in wrestling other women. Hayashishita apologized if her English was poor, but she said she wanted to wrestle the best woman wrestler in CORE, not Tessa. Utami called out Giant Baba Yaga. Giant Baba Yaga, puffing on an American Rebel cigar, came to ringside and accepted the challenge for next week on Defy TV. Tessa stormed off as we transitioned back to the action.

- Early in the match Brogan Finlay and Marcus Mathers made their way to ringside and were intercepted by CORE officials Trik Davis and Jigsaw. MV Young left the ring and went after the two. Starboy began to go after Larry's injured knee, but "The Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith was fast on the scene and chased after Starboy. As the four interlopers ran out of the building and the locker room emptied, Larry Zbyszko got on the microphone and said he had to know if those vermin were still hiding in the walls; and if so having MV Young leave his side would lure them out into the light. Zbyszko challenged any two of them to take on MV Young and Bryan Keith right here next week. - As some of the wrestlers helped restore order around the ringside area, MV Young grabbed Kylie Paige, rolled her into the ring, and accused her of letting Starboy, Mathers, Finlay, and Morton into the building. Kylie denied it and reiterated earlier claims that she hadn't spoken to any of them since Wilkes-Barre, but MV Young didn't believe it and to a roar of approval from the crowd and the delight of Larry Zbyszko, powerbombed Kylie in the middle of the ring.

SEGMENT FOUR (EIGHT MINUTES):

- We return from commercial to a music video montage of Raychell Rose at UltraMantis Black's School of Professional Wrestling Management and Bartending set to "We Hate School" by Jimmy Hart. Footage included Raychell laying out an outfit for a Tuxedo Match when Jimmy Hart pops up offering her a choice between powder blue briefs or boxer shorts with hearts on them. We see Slick shaking his head at Raychell's techniques for massaging her client's shoulders during an interview until she improves and gives her a double thumbs up. And close on Jimmy Hart presenting her with a variety of distinctive foreign objects to carry to the ring including a fishing rod, a pickleball paddle, a field hockey stick, a pool cue, and a pair of drumsticks.

Trios Kingdom 2023 Qualifying Match The Family Tree (Afa Jr., Sean Maluta, and Journey Fatu) vs. The Von Triers (Dale Von Trier, Keith Von Trier, and Kirk Von Trier) The Family Tree defeated The Von Triers after the Savate Kick Shindig from Maluta and Fatu followed by the Black Adam Punch from Afa Jr. on Kirk. Prompt- Fjord and Eodwulf run into each other, both looking for a missing Caleb. Cue the reluctant co-op road trip

AKA what if two big, strong, handsome, nice armed men teamed up to rescue Caleb. He can die happy now.

"Are you sure this is the right direction?"

"Yes."

While his tone was clipped, Fjord now knew better than to assume that meant he was annoyed by his question. Although they had been reluctant to work together at first, their joint worry for Caleb led to an agreement. The last few days had the unexpected side effect of getting to know Eodwulf better. He thought things would be awkward and stiff, but Eodwulf was kind when the tense worry wasn't getting the best of him.

"Do you hear that?" At Eodwulf question, he paused to strain his ears, then gave a quick nod. "Come on."

As they rushed down the stairs, Fjord brought out the Star Razor, lighting the space around them as they went. By the time they reached the bottom, the sounds of chaos were clear enough he could make out individual voices. They both sprinted for the door the ruckus came from, only pausing to force the door open. At the first unfamiliar face, he swung the Star Razor in a wide arc that sliced open their back. Before he could move to the next closest, a spell hit them and the two behind them bringing them all down in one fell swoop. 

Instead, he switched his focus to where Caleb had been backed into a corner with fire burning on his eyes. He launched across the space to cut down the one stocking toward Caleb, then moved to stand protectively in front of him. A hand latched onto the back of armor, then he heard a voice close to his ear.

"Fjord, how did you find me?"

"I had help."

There was a moment of silence between them as he blocked a blow from one of Caleb's captors, then quickly dealt with them. "Wulf? How..."

"We ran into each other. We were both looking for you, so we agreed to work together."

"That's unexpected."

"Agreed."

When the last finally fell, he dropped the sword to free his hands up to gently take Caleb's jaw in one hand and waist in the other. He immediately healed his wounds, then did his best to wipe away the dried blood sticking to the side of his face. A tired, grateful smile momentarily tipped up Caleb's lips as he leaned into Fjord for support.

"Thank you."

"Do you need more? I can do that a few more times."

"I'm fine, Fjord. A little tired, but fine."

Despite the reassurance, he healed Caleb one more time before he lifted Caleb into his arms to give his exhausted body a break. "Wulf, are we clear?"

"Seems like it." He held up a coat, pouch and holster with two books. "This everything?"

"Yes, that's it."

"We should leave before more come."

"Think you can teleport us, Cay?"

With a grunt, Caleb shifted in his arms to reach for his spellbook and components pouch. "Depends on where."

"Nicodranas."

"Jester or Veth?"

"They're waiting for us at the Chateau."

"Ja, I can do that." He pulled a turtle from his pouch, then looked at Eodwulf. "Thank you, Wulf."

All funk, no princess

Hey gang! Your host, Dustin Nile, coming at you again with something a little different this time; a review of the hit video game Orbital Funk Princess! The Dustin Gang and I were investigating this game because of rumors that it was “cursed” or something. Turns out, the real monster was capitalism all along. Long story short, the developer of the game was a child predator who exploited the homeless.

Now, I might live comfortable in a two-bedroom apartment because of how successful my blog is but I can still empathize with the plight of the residentially challenged. Luckily, Gracie was there to make the arrest- no, really this time!

Anyways, time to separate the art from the artist!

Orbital Funk Princess is a hit co-op shooter game where you play as the princess of the planet Funk and defend your domain from orbital invaders using cannons that shoot glitter.

It might sound silly, but let me tell you when I first booted it up I could not put it down. It was that good!

Unfortunately, there were a few notable downsides.

First, the game ended up frying my computer after a couple minutes of playing in the backseat of my van  comfortable two-bedroom apartment.

Second, since “Funk” was in the title I expected the soundtrack to be a little more... Funky. Instead, the music was this weird ethereal droning noise that compelled me to ignore all earthly desires.

Third, for whatever reason I couldn’t recapture the “magic” of the first time I played it. The first time it felt like the coolest, most important thing in the world! Now it just feels like I’m going through the motions.

Finally, I thought it was really unfair that only the first player gets to be the princess. I was the second player and was forced to play as the princess’s court jester. I was totally fine with that because why would I want to play as an awesome princess anyways? I just thought it was unfair that, ya know, Sebastian and I couldn’t *both* be princesses. Just in case I- just in case the second player wanted to be a space princess too. Hypothetically.

Anyways, I happen to have twelve copies of Orbital Funk Princess that I’ll be giving away free to the first twelve people to share this post!
