Custom framing anyone? I did say I'd post results when I finally got around to getting this done.
I started with this Archaeopteryx print to get a feel for things. It also just had a boring, white background but I had some nice textured paper to put with it to liven it up. After that, I tackled the bigger job of the Voryn print.
for my first crack at this kind of thing, I think it went pretty good. I don't know if I'm 100% happy with it, but it's a learning process and if I have to change things up, I will.
I used quite thick scrapbooking paper for these. Most were in bits that I had to cut and fit because they were small and square, but both pictures look a lot better than the plain, white backgrounds they had before!
I'm excited to announce my collab with V1TECH for tech and LED art prints! It was a lot of work but they turned out great! Designing the PC cases was a fun nostalgia trip since it was the closest I've come to doing 3D art since I moved away from Game Development. There are more designs to come in the future and a LOT more on their site.
if you're going through a really bad time and an album from one of your favorite bands comes out, PLEASE resist the urge to listen to it on repeat to try to get yourself through the bad time. Mix it in with lots of other stuff, sure. But don't get yourself into the situation where you associate that music so strongly with a horrible part of your life that you can't enjoy it later without thinking about the bad stuff
