#d8 victors

Note
do you have any headcannons on the queen Cecelia ✨✨??
of course I have, she is one of my fave side Victors haha
Won the 58th game at age 17
She is 34 during the third quell
Her arena was an old subway system, where the gamemakers would like send trains unto the tracks to get people moving around the place
(If anyone who is more familiar with subway systems you can find in the US that is mostly underground, that would be super neat to know so I can use it as a base for that arena haha)
Was in an alliance with some other girls from some of the "lesser District"
Her children are named after her allies from the games
Has 2 girls and 1 boy, the boy being the middle child
For my own sanity they all survive the events of MJ
However the two youngest don't really remember her after MJ
Her husband was a her boyfriend before the games and one of the more memorable moments of the reaping was when he gave her one last kiss before she was taken away :')
Originally had her victors talent be writing, but then I learned that Saint Cecelia is the patron saint of music, so now I like the idea that her talent is related to music because of that
Very close to Woof and he is basically like a grandfather to her children because her parents died when she was young

A huge point in the musical's favor:
I like how this version of Vic is still like "begone! Or fight me until one of us is dead!" D8<
Victor. VICTOR. You're 99 lbs soaking wet, please do not try to fight the 8 foot tall creature. You were bedridden for months just from looking at him.
I need this energy to carry over to every iteration of Victor in every adaptation. I need to see a scrawny 20 something year old nerd yelling at an 8 foot tall monster to fight him.

The Foxes Hunger Games Districts
So I recently did this with Divergent factions and I thought it’d be fun to do it with another franchise I was obsessed with as a preteen (i say this as though I don’t re read the books every year during spring break)
anywho long post under the cut
Neil Josten: he was raised/born in District Two, Military, but when Mary ran away they traveled all over. I think after she died (assuming she did in this au) he’d settle in District Six, Transportation. Partly because he could stow away in the next bullet train out of the station to get to the Capital or the coal trains and head further out. Plus it’s mentioned in the books that D6 has a morphling (drug victors used/abused to forget their trauma) problem, which as terrible as that must be, would work in Neil’s favor. If all, or the majority, of the people around him were high out of their mind or prone to hallucination or whatever other effects the drug has, it’d be hard to question them about the newcomer kid who they swore didn’t actually live here all his life. They couldn’t hold up being questioned because of the effects.
Andrew Minyard: I feel like Andrew would live in a place where he had A) access to weapons and B) a desensitization to violence. Which leads to three options District 7, 10, 12. District 7 is lumber—which would give easy and constant access to axes and saws. District 10 is livestock which shows that desensitized aspect to blood, gore, and butcher tools. District 12 is interesting because it's not technically a District where he could be desensitized or have weapons. Unless he was trading at the Hob, sneaking out of the fence to the forest, and somehow had access to said materials in the first place. I could see an argument for each of these Districts but I'm leaning more towards 10 or 12.
Kevin Day: Kevin was born in District One with the Moriyama's and was sent to a Hunger Games Training Center on the border between D1 and D2. Also he most definitely won the games and is a victor at some point in this au.
Aaron Minyard: He lived in District 8, Textiles. It was where he first learned how to do stitches (though it was for fabric originally). I could see him working as a doctor/healer after hours since D8 is probably (i think canonically?) just one big factory where a lot of hazing happens. Also D8 in usually squished in between or near Districts 9 and 11—grain and agriculture respectively—which I could totally see Aaron sneaking past the border/fence to collect herbs/plants and opening a secret medical practice. (Which I think it'd be cool if Katelyn was in D9/11 and help sneak plants to him and that was how they met and they had a reluctant friends to friends to lovers romance).
Nicky Hemmick: District 3, 100%. Even though it's far away from the twins there's no way Nicky doesn't live in D3. District 3 is the Technology District and considered far more wealthy than the twins' Districts. It's mentioned a couple times that Nicky's major is marketing and he's going to work for a marketing company in Germany right out of college. If we want to loosen the rules a bit here he could be from District 5 originally, power/electricity, and interned in D3 with Erik's family as this au's version of going abroad. idk.
Allison Reynolds: She would be the Effie of this universe. She'd be born to influential Capital parents who had a bunch of shady shit going on under the surface. I feel like she'd work for the Rebels in District Thirteen as a spy within the Capital as well.
Renee Walker: Another character who would 100% be a victor in this universe. She would live in District 7 and be like...the anthesis to Johanna Mason. She would go into the games as someone calm and collected, knowing that she would win. She would go in presenting herself as someone who could do damage and did. But when she came out she tried desperately to be a good person. To fade into the background. Her mom helps her immensely in their secluded cottage in the woods. For a while, when she's away from the Capital and the lumber yards, Renee can almost pretend she's a good person.
Dan Wilds: She grew up in District 12, coal mining and refused to go into the mines. She probably worked for the Hob or some other illegal trade through the District to keep herself and her aunt and cousin afloat. She promised herself that she would make it out of the poverty D12. She'd probably strive to be someone in the government of D12 and being offered a job as a representative of the rebellion in D12.
Matt Boyd: He would grow up in District 1, luxury items, due to the fact that his mom is a victor and his dad works for a big company. His mom probably came from a smaller District but got stuck with Matt's dad in D1. She taught Matt the ideals of smaller, poorer Districts as though he'd grown up there too. He was very vocal about things like that which probably got him drawn in the reaping. Though in D1 everybody volunteers so he was okay.
Seth Gordon: Seth grew up in District 12, I know this in my soul. He grew up with too many siblings and poor as shit. Possibly more than Dan only because he had so many siblings. He likely traded with Peacekeepers at the Hob in exchange for Morphling, which is the main difference between his and Dan's circumstances. Dan is trying to get better and get out while Seth is ready to cause as much chaos and shit as he can before he goes. (I could also see him getting drawn in the same reaping as Kevin and either dying by his hand. Or almost dying and then some other Career killing him.)
This was fun...I might do another for the Trojans and the adults!

The Victors of the Hunger Games
So when I get obsessed with a new thing, I literally need to know everything about it, even if that means making shit up. Thankfully, that means I can produce some decent, accurate content, so here that is! I made a list of all of the “known” Hunger Games victors. The canon ones are bolded, but the rest of them are named based on their district (I got the name inspiration from this naming guide).
Huge credits to @one-mopeyboi for this idea!
I know that canonically Districts 1 and 2 have the best chance of having a lot of Victors, so I made sure that was represented, as well as when the career programs began (I have a headcanon that after the career programs were implemented, Districts 1 and 2 went on a winning streak for years). This is similar to District 4, though I think that their “career system” is hugely different than the first two districts, so they probably had fewer victors. I included statistics at the end (how many victors came from each district, genders, ages, etc..).
During the first ten games, even though District 2 didn’t have a career program, I think they still had a lot of victors due to them being the defense and masonry district -- possible peacekeepers-in-training could have been reaped, or just kids who grew up around weapons and fighting. That’s why they appear so much in the first ten years, even though the first ten years were so disorganized!
I also gave some of my favs last names based on my interpretation of their characters, much like Suzanne Collins put a lot of time and effort into naming other characters! I’ll explain their last names when they come up!
A lot of canon victors had a range in which they could have won their games, so take any victor marked with an asterisk (*) is an up for interpretation -- add or subtract five years from their set date in this list and you should still be in the ballpark in which they won their games. Also, the ages at which they won their games are speculated and headcanons mostly, so do with those what you wish!

Enobaria Calypso / D2 / F15 (Calypso means hidden or concealed -- as an Enobaria lover who definitely sees past the whole “brutal” teeth thing, I definitely think that she has a lot of hidden rage towards the Capitol, even though people in District 2 notoriously side with the Capitol. Not only this, but she was seen running with Finnick during the breaking of the arena in Catching Fire, which I definitely interpret as she was either secretly working with Finnick or had some type of solidarity with him to be able to not attack him while running -- meaning she hid this tolerability from her district and the Capitol. I could make an entire post about Enobaria, but I’ll leave it at that.)
Gloss Mirat / D1 / M18 (Mirat means mirror -- Gloss and Cashmere were mirrors of each other -- two siblings going into the games seperately, then immensly regretting it as soon as they won for the same or different reasons. Then, they had to reenter the game together, knowing that one or both of them would die in the arena, but showing the Capitol excitement, anyway, because that is was District 1 taught them to do. They mirror each other and what their district wants them to be.)
Cashmere Mirat / D1 / F17 ^^

Phoenix Cullinan (she/her). D8 Mentor. 100th Victor. Twenty-nine. Lady Gaga.
Panem was not kind to those less fortunate than the elite.
Phoenix Velour was born into a poor family, factory workers in District Eight who left home when it was still dark out, and came back so late that she was usually already asleep. The loving hands tucking her in at night, the gentle voice speaking, telling stories until she could slip into a deep slumber did not belong to her mother or her father, but instead to her older brother, Rayon. Thirteen years younger than her brother, Phoenix had been an unplanned addition to an already struggling family, barely enough money but four stomachs that had to be filled, hollowing out Dotty and Rufus’ pockets.
Dotty and Rufus had been in the factory, one working the day shift, one just coming in for the night, when the accident had happened. Phoenix had been five, Rayon barely eighteen when the explosion and the crackling flames made them orphans. With no bodies left for a funeral, only haphazardly constructed sticks marked the honorary graves in their garden.
Rayon dropped out of school to take up a job for himself. Phoenix clung to his leg, begged him not to leave whenever it would be time for him to go to work, terrified he wouldn’t return one day. Forced to fall asleep on her own, her slumber was fitful and nightmare filled.
It was easier to feed two people than four, but to go a little less hungry, there was no money left to send Phoenix to school. Rayon simply repurposed his own acquired knowledge to teach his little sister whenever he was at home.
And then one day, her brother introduced his girlfriend, Laine. There was a wedding, small but nonetheless joyous. It did not take long for Laine to become pregnant and nine months later, Serge was born. For a while, they were a proper family. Then not long after, Laine was no longer in the picture. “Laine had to leave for a while,” her brother had said, and it was obvious he wasn’t being quite honest with her. Serge’s mother had never returned.
Growing up, the factories had frightened Phoenix more than the Hunger Games had. The Games were something she saw on TV, knew it was something to fear, but her own name was not in the bowl yet, and Rayon never outwardly showed fear of being reaped himself, even if, by the time he was twenty-five, his name was in the reaping bowl 52 times. He was counting on his luck, to be aged out soon and not allowing Phoenix to take up any Tesserae for herself.
Phoenix’s first reaping happened at the fourth Quarter Quell. The crowd waited, quiet in their spots as the President was projected on screen in Eight’s square. To commemorate the 100th Hunger Games, there would be a twist to the reaping. There were two bowls on the stage. One bowl, the one with the least amount, contained the names of the youngest, newly eligible tributes. The other, the one halfway filled, held the names of those who were in the reaping for the very last time.
Rayon’s name was drawn first. Phoenix’s second.
Her brother was panicking as they were led into the government building for the goodbyes. Not for himself, however. For her, and for his five year old son.
The journey to the Capitol, the city and people themselves were wholly overwhelming. Glitz and glamour, over the top fashion and strange body modifications, Phoenix was wide eyed as her brother pulled her along. The Tower wasn’t far away from the train station, but the amount of people gawking at them, yelling and cheering slowed them down considerably. Phoenix had never seen so many people at once before. It continued like this, throughout being scrubbed down and lathered in lotions. Hair rid of knotting, split ends now silky to the touch. She enjoyed feeling taken care of, but she didn’t enjoy the looks, the barely concealed whispers. Twelve children, twelve grown-ups. Phoenix heard the stylists pity the children as though they were already dead.
During training, Phoenix found herself most capable at climbing. Scaling up the fake rock wall, pulling herself up on the net spanned across one side of the training centre. Some of her fellow tributes, other twelve year olds from the outer districts, oh’d and ah’d at her while most of the older tributes simply sneered or smiled indulgently. With her climbing skills, Phoenix scored a three during the private training presentations.
There was heavy focus on honor and sacrifice and representing the country in this historic edition of the Hunger Games. The big 100, fourth Quarter Quell, a reminder of the rebellion that had been squashed. Phoenix just thought it was terrifying as she spoke to Calix Crystal, thought it still when she left the interview stage and was ushered back up to the eighth floor to prepare for launch the next day. Unable to sleep, she found her brother in the living quarters, staring out the window at this strange and gigantic city, buildings so high they seemed to pierce the sky with their pointy roofs.
Phoenix had asked him if he was scared. Rayon smiled at her with a touch of sadness. He didn’t answer her. “Are you scared?” he returned the question instead, beckoning her closer. “Yes,” she’d admitted in a whisper. Rayon had immediately pulled her into his embrace tighter. Much to their escort’s dismay, they’d both fallen asleep on the common room sofa that night.
They were launched into a dimly lit, circular room. A pile of boxes in the middle as the countdown flashed on top. Phoenix felt herself shaking in her thick jacket, boots to match and a fuzzy neckline that almost swallowed her. Instead of running for the boxes, she ran the opposite direction, down one of the tunnels that lead away from the fight. Behind her, there was screaming, thuds and angry words, echoing even louder in the circular tunnels. At some point, she stopped at an indent in the concrete wall, cowering into it in the darkness. Rayon found her there, lucky that no one else had been quicker. One of his hands held a box, the other a knife, blood staining the side of his jacket. Rayon had quickly reassured her that the blood was not his.
Together, they ventured into the tunnel, a light at the end. It turned out, each of those tunnels led to a different laboratory, shiny equipment, elaborate notes and sterile lighting. The room they’d been launched into, where fights over boxes had taken place, was repurposed into standard living quarters. Cots and thin blankets, uncomfortable mattresses encased in a squeaky metal frame. The puddles of blood on the concrete ground remained. Outside the facility, a snowstorm raged.
They braved Gamemaker events together, blearing alarms, terrifying cracks in the windows that let in some of the cold air, a loudly broadcast advertisement of the developments the laboratory had made before it was seemingly abruptly abandoned. Mutts with longer teeth, more venom, curved claws and spiked, razor sharp fur. Details of what this venom could do to those affected by it; hallucinations, rage, immense pain. All a preparation for what would come later.
On their third day, Phoenix finally found out how sponsor gifts were delivered in this place. Right outside the door to the research lab they were staying in, a box unceremoniously dropped into the snow. Rayon braved the journey, trudging through the icy cold after they had unsealed the door. It closed behind him. Phoenix could still see him through the round, slightly fogged window in the metal door. He retrieved the box, and just as he turned, there was a flash of something dark. It collided with her brother, biting and scratching. Phoenix screamed as she watched from behind the door. Rayon was different, when he had reached her again, erratic, bloodshot eyes and a crazed look. For the first time, Phoenix was terrified of her brother. He yelled through the door, dull but nonetheless piercing, obscenities and insults as he begged. She didn’t let him back in.
Some of the younger outer district tributes found her there, shivering and crying. She stuck to them afterwards. Together they took out an older tribute, no match for a swarm of twelve year olds. Phoenix was hardened by the loss of her brother and it carried through all the way to the end. For the grand finale, the mutts outside the facility busted open the previously sealed doors, chasing all remaining tributes into the centre of the facility. After a week of the Arena, those in charge seemed desperate to see it end.
As one of the last few remaining, Phoenix was chased by a particularly nasty looking wolf, spiked fur and dripping teeth. He toppled her, teeth sinking into her leg as she cried out in pain. Things from then on were a blur. Phoenix wouldn’t truly come back to herself until later, surrounded by beeping machines and diligent nurses. When she was more stable again, she found out what had happened. The older tribute from Three had been devoured by a modified polar bear. When the hallucinogenic poison had spread through Phoenix’s system, she’d attacked the younger girl from Six, who had become a friend to her in their alliance.
Delirious, thrashing and in pain, Phoenix had been lifted out of the Arena, crowned victor of the fourth Quarter Quell.
Phoenix wasn’t alone when she returned to District Eight. At twelve years old, without a legal guardian, the Capitol provided one for her. Berenice Merope was stylish and eager to raise a victor, but the longer she lived in Eight instead of in the Capitol, the more the woman softened.
Panem wasn’t very kind to its elite either, she found.
Phoenix had been asking to see Serge once she’d returned, but she’d been denied. “Don’t be ridiculous,” her governess had said. “How could a child take care of another child?” Phoenix had retaliated and pushed back. In the end, she wouldn’t see Serge again until she was eighteen and Berenice had finished her duties as governess and left to return to the Capitol. Suddenly, she was no longer chaperoned wherever she went, be it the Tower to act as a perfunctory mentor, or back at home in her mansion. Suddenly, she had more money than she could ever hope to spend.
She started by finding her nephew. Pulling out all the stops, Phoenix didn’t rest until Serge, now eleven years old, had been returned to her.
Then, she turned towards fashion. Berenice had brought mountains of shiny fashion magazines from the Capitol while she had stayed at the mansion, and Phoenix had occupied herself with going through them, page by page. Wide eyed at some of the more outlandish designs, amazed at the gorgeous ones. Phoenix gradually began to fit into the circles in the nation's capital, dressing the part, but just the right amount of foreign to remain interesting beyond her status.
She wasn’t the best mentor, had never particularly been taught how, but she still tried to lift her tributes up, give them as much hope as they could before most of them would eventually go on to perish awfully early, or last long, but not quite long enough. It brought her no joy to send off tribute after tribute into the Arena, but she did her part when she had to, and turned to other matters when she could.
At twenty-seven, Phoenix met Olivier Cullinan. Charming owner of the most expensive hotel in the city, knowing just the right things to say to get her to fall for him, made her feel like this was finally her chance at a family of her own. A whirlwind romance and a lavish wedding later, those things were said fewer and farther in-between. Love dwindled when there was no longer the chase, the thrill of the conquest. Just like that, Phoenix was alone again. Not in name, but in every other aspect.
( + ) resilient, adaptable, extroverted ( – ) stubborn, materialistic, paranoid

Oh, I pictured Bakugo being instead of Cinna (stylist) and either smaller form All Might or Aizawa like Haymitch (mentor) as while A.M is his mentor and predecessor in MHA, Eraser is closer in personality. (Plus he lost a friend as a teenager, like Katniss loses Rue so he'd be able to understand them more.)
Though Mic HAS to be Caesar or Effie! 😂
"THERE YA HAVE IT, AIZAWA IS A TERRIBLE MENTOR!"
"I'm a what?"
I had been in the middle of answering this when my app glitched tf out u.u
ANYWAY
My reasoning is that district 8 is for textiles. Bakugo, with his parents being designers, I felt fit this district really well. (I also associate rody with sewing a lot because of all the patches he and his siblings' clothes have. And when you have very little, you kinda learn to make stuff with what you have, so I imagine they'd be good there too. Izuku I have there because his mom made his suit, designed by him, and I feel it could be a hobby passed onto him in a quirkless world)
I imagined Bakugo would have won at age 15, so finnick is still the youngest, and the games would've been what help change his whole outlook, like... it's what puts his character arc into effect.
I think Eraser would be good in Plutarch Heavensbee's position, like aiding the rebels underhandedly, not really a face of the rebellion.
I had considered Uwabami as Effie, but honestly, I think Mic would fit that better? Sort of following that exuberant attitude before it mellows out because, you know, he's a decent person? Uwabami and Mt. Lady would probably be stylists. As well as Best Jeanist.....
As for All Might, he would've been a previous Victor, but I don't think for the same district.... I want him as part of the rebellion but I'm not sure where.
Then again, I'm thinking of this as if the Canon events still happen in the future, so these would be some random game, like 54 or 62 you know? Not a direct 74th/75th HG so they wouldn't even be part of the rebellion yet.
BUT if we do the Canon au rather than an in universe concept.... then that would also work, but I really don't want Lala or Roro to die lmfao
I'm sure if I really sit to map it out I could assign everyone to districts and such but Idk if everyone would be reaped in these particular games (I know I considered Kirishima for D11 or D12, and now that I think of it, Ashido would be D8 too! Ahhhh Imagine if she was the girl reaped in Bakugos games t.t)

Hunger Games DR
Basically in this DR I'm gonna be the youngest victor of the Hunger Games ever (at age 12, I decided this to purely one up Finnick, I am that petty), obvious warnings for death being mentioned and mentions of basically any topics mentioned in the books as I'm shifting to a book accurate version of the universe.
Basic information
Name: Elyxir Callisto Fay (Ely, Elyx)
Birthday: 09/17/59 (for context the first year of the hunger games is year 1, this is a result of me being lazy as shit and not wanting to work out an appropriate time in the future, so using our time it's probably along the lines of 09/17/2359 or something)
Sexuality: Lesbian
Pronouns: They/she
Age when I first shift: 9 (yes there is a reason)
Home District: District 1
Faceclaim: I look mostly like myself in this reality except my hair is a touch lighter and is longer and slightly wavy plus blue eyes

All of my siblings also attend the training academy
Friends: Glimmer, her birthday is 7/27/58 (I don't have an image to show what she looks like in my mind as I'm going for how I imagined her in the books cause I thought she'd be cool and I'm super gay, she doens't die in her games either, cause she's the solo winner cause I decided Peeta will win the 73rd and then the 75th quell twist is the same but cause of rules Katniss ends up in the 75th but I have her role as mockingjay)
I also befriend Johanna and Finnick after my games, again going for book accuracy, I don't have the energy to search for a picture
Mentors:
Cashmere and Gloss. They're Glimmer's cousins in my DR, Cashmere won her games at 15 and Gloss won his at 16. I actually found pictures that more or less look like I pictured them so that's good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My games:
My games are the 72nd Hunger Games, the other tributes in the game are as followed
Prince, 17, D1
Calista, 17, D2
Orion, 18, D2
Chip, 15, D3
Dell, 16, D3
Brooke, 15, D4
Dylan, 17, D4
Lunar, 16, D5
Dean, 15, D5
Elaine, 13, D6
Aaron, 12, D6
Hazel, 18, D7
Jude, 13, D7
Camisole, 16, D8
Sterling, 14, D8
Adalina, 15, D9
Herman, 18, D9
Bessie, 17, D10
Kobe, 17, D10
Autumn, 18, D11
Fraser, 16, D11
Ivy, 18, D12
Jett, 16, D12
I won't write every small detail of my games as there's a lot but I'll add some pictures that'll look like parts of the arena
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The arena is like a magical otherworld, there are unicorns in the arena, they attack anyone that appears to be a threat to them, so typically older tributes.
Before all of that though, basically I tested into the academy early and so I'd been at the academy since I was like 5 so I was already planning to volunteer that year but it turns out Glimmer was reaped so I had an even better reason which helped play into my character I put on for the games, confident that I'll do really well for someone my age not that I'd necessarily win but that I'd be able to hold my own, someone that would do anything to protect people she cares about, capitol audiences really loved that.
Glimmer and I are the district 1 tributes that get sent into the Quater Quell, they change the rules even further to allow for two previous victors of the same gender to be chosen for the quell.
I'll probably add more stuff to this anyway

out of the districts 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 11 what do you think the order is for who wanted to help rebel first or who wanted to the rebel the most, also the least willing rebels, because like I feel like maybe 1 person from a district didn’t want to rebel but their partner convinced them to, or the other way around. there was a fanfic where D5 F wanted to help the rebellion but her district partner didn’t want to and she respected that so she didn’t help, anyways your opinion on that?
So definitley have plans to get into that in TOFS, especially from D6’s side. So don’t think I want to go fully into this because it’s going to spoil future events of the fic :)
Can imagine the D8/D11 victors were some of the first involved in the plan though, seeing how rebelious those Districts are in the book. Definitley think that both of the District partners had to be fully in on the plan. But yeah going to touch on the whole rebellion soon in TOFS, so look forwards to that :)
Side note I remember I saw a post that questioned if the M.Morphling was even involved in the plan at all and in the context of my fic I just imagine this would have happened if that was the case
Plutarch/Haymitch: Okay you got it, that’s the plan, make sure you can help the rebellion in anyway you can and don’t tell anyone
Maureen: Yes got it perfectly :)
*Later*
Maureen: OMG CASS YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS!!!

Some doodles of RV related stuff
More info under cut
D1: after getting several earfuls from like every legendary and mythical Pokemon from Kanto to Hoenn, Mew decides to actually cut off its habit of causing havoc for fun, and searches for someone worthy of becoming its trainer. That someone happened to be Gloria.
D2: Lucas gets sent to the Hisui region and then has to journey alongside his and Dawn's ancestors (Rei and Akari respectively)
D3: shows how Leaf is implied to having died twice, as well as implying she and Green are the same person.
D4: Barry getting impaled by an attack supposedly from Giratina.
D5: a Polteageist, supposedly Victor's. It's also noted to be Leaf's ghost.
D6: Nate getting impaled by multiple Kyurem spikes at once, which is noted underneath the doodle.
D7: Ken and his Espeon. Supposedly counterparting brine's interpretation of him with an Umbreon.
D8: Battle legend Red with a Venusaur that's noted to be originally Leaf's.
D9: Juliana with a malicious look on her face next to her Koraidon which is using flamethrower on a Tinkaton's hammer, implying her hatred for the Pokemon and fairy types as a whole.
D10: Gloria with a text next to her implying that she can tell what a Pokémon's type is from it's appearance and what types deal super effective damage to it in battle.

Note
I’m ND and have trouble regulating my time, so I apologize if this sounds rude/judgmental; it’s not intended as such. Do you have any OCs from outlying districts? I love your D2 characters, I’m just curious if you’ve ever dabbled outside, even briefly
no worries! I appreciate the clarification :)
I wrote a couple victors from the other districts that I include in background scenes: Diana in D8, Angus and Edwin in D10, Cora and Burt in D9, and then of course Phillips from D6 who's a stealth crossover transplant. Phillips features in Nobody Decent, as he mentors the dark horse tribute opposing Misha in 57. The others show up at random points in in My World's On Fire: District 2 at War.
They aren't really characters so much as archetypes (Angus is extremely chill) or to evoke a specific emotion (Burt showing pictures of his grandbaby during his 3QQ interview) or accomplish a specific action in a scene (Diana calling on Snow to end the games) or establish consistency across several stories (Edwin always drums on the desk with pencils while mentoring and drives the others crazy). Phillips has been written enough that he's his own person, and Cora I think as well since she survives in the Divergence AU and gets folded into Rokia's story.
Other than Phillips, none of them have their own POV in my stories, they're always seen by someone else. I have nothing AGAINST the other districts! They're just ... not the stories I want to tell, I guess? Other people are doing it well enough already that I don't feel like there's a gap needing to be addressed.
Another reason I don't tend to write other district OCs is that the shared multiverse my D2s sandbox in includes OCs by so many other people! At the top of my head I can think of D1, D3, D4, D6, D7, D9 and D10, and I'm probably missing a bunch since it's early and there's a cat trying to climb on my keyboard as I write this.

Can we learn more about your clothing in Panem headcannons? Curiously nobody mentions this much.
absolutely you may! thanks for asking :)
not a fashion history expert, mostly going by vibes, but i imagine in a post-nuclear fallout North America that most of our current fast-fashion clothing doesn't survive, between the nuclear warheads and just time & wear, and so people resort to wearing a mix of what's left (classic, durable stuff that would span decades in our eyes) along with making it again. so there's still denim, corduroy, leather, wool, cotton, knit - but everything is more streamlined, economical (excepting the Capitol, fast fashion central). we know shoes have to be made and repaired by cobblers so in my mind people wear boots and loafers and sandals and such, not flip flops or sneakers lol - so again, not necessarily old in when they were made, but old fashioned and classic looking to us.
and I'd say this is consistent with canon. Katniss isn't very descriptive with clothing from home compared to how she describes the otherworldly fashion in the Capitol. still, the vibe to me has always been like 'great depression era but make it future dystopian'. we know from TBOSAS that at least 60+ years prior in D12, men are wearing jean shorts and white t-shirts off work and women simple dresses. I imagine it'd be more or less the same across the other districts and about the same by Katniss' time, as a place like D12 is likely to be behind on the trends (and not trying to keep up anyway). just kinda of using what's left and what's able to be made from home.
and let's remember D8, which makes textiles. I imagine they ship some materials to the districts vs. all materials and clothing to the Capitol. but the richest classes within the districts (meaning victors and gov officials, not merchants) can also afford clothing from D8. the Capitol also makes clothing, couture and otherwise, but D8 provides basics, made in sweatshops factories.

What do you think is entailed in a Victors responsibilities after winning the hunger games?
Do you have any headcanon?
Thank you so much.
@curiousnonny
I'd say it would depend on the District they've come from. For D1 and D2 they could possibly be present at any major event, giving speeches and all that. I can see how people would generally care for what they have to say without getting irritated by Victor’s wealth and well-being after the Games. (since people in D1 and D2 don’t live in extreme poverty). I think Victors in D1/D2 are more like celebrities. Hosting parties, probably making photosets and video-reels for Capitol propaganda, talking to kids in special academies about the Games. Maybe teaching/training kids there. And probably they could have their own ‘’merch’’ to sell. Replicas of the arena clothing or collectible cards, advertised for the younger generations. Kids in those districts aren’t that scared of the Games because they always have a bunch of trained Volunteers to take their place. Most of the kids know that they won’t go into the arena to die, even if their name’s been drawn, so they must feel relatively ‘’safe’’. Therefore they can see the Victors as Heroes, not just survivors. Kids can admire them, in a way. Buy posters, ask for an autograph.
In my head, the poorer the District the more hostile people are towards their Victors. If I am not mistaken, there aren’t many of them in D8-D12, so ‘’the life of a Victor’’ would be pretty grim there (even though the Victors are ‘stinky rich’, as Katniss stated in the first book). And I guess the social life at those districts is almost nonexistent. people are overworked, extremely tired and underfed. I don’t think there are many events to attend to.
Although I think every Victor has to attend the funeral of the fallen tribute/tributes every year. And if the victor’s mental health is somewhat okay (and if they look decent) I can see how they can be invited to give speeches at the start of the schoolyear and at the end of it. This is how propaganda usually works. Kids and their parents always have to be reminded about the meaning of the Games, etc etc.
And we do know that some Victors have to go to the Capitol ‘’parties’’ and who knows what they have to do there (poor Finnick. I am sure he wasn’t the only one). That’s the part that scares me the most, tbh. The Capitol’s like a giant dollhouse, and if you’re invited to play, you cannot get out even if you want to. Absolute nightmare. I guess, for most of the Victors the Games weren’t the worst part of their life.
