It was a beautiful day in Amity Park, and Danny Fenton was rushing to get to class. But, unfortunately, he faced off seven ghosts last night, and he overslept.
"Finally..." He muttered in a tired tone.
When he made it to the school, he burst open the doors and raced to his classroom, only to bump into his Bully, Dash Baxter.
"Fenturd!" He gave a grin at his favorite target.
Danny groaned.
'I should have let that giant snake ghost eat me... ' He thought.
Dash grabbed him by the collar and shoved him into a random locker.
"Oh, come on! I'm already late as it is!" Danny complained as he was about to use his powers to get out of the locker.
Before Danny could phase himself out of the locket, someone had opened it. It was Valerie.
"Val?" Danny was surprised to see her this early.
"Dash shoved you into a locker again, didn't he?" Valarie asked.
"Yeah, and I'm getting sick and tired of him doing that, like a rerun of an unfunny sitcom," Danny said.
"He'll get his comeuppance eventually. Just you wait," Valerie assured.
"Knowing how Lancer is, that won't be until graduation..." Danny grumbled before sighing.
"Yeah, he's pretty bad at his job," Valerie said as she gave him a small smile. "I'll see you later, Danny..."
She says as she left, Danny raced off to get to class.
However, he was late when he made it to the classroom."Later again, eh, Mr. Fenton?" Mr. Lancer said as he gave him a detention slip.
"Oh great, another detention this week alone." Danny sighed as he took his seat.
Sam and Tucker felt bad for their friend. So they both patted him on the back to make him feel better.
As the class was going on, Mr. Lancer had a big announcement to his students, making them wonder what the big announcement was.
"Students, we have great news that will help you in the future." Lancer started.
You're getting fired?!" One student was heard shouting in the back, angering Lancer.
"Well... it seems Mr. Fenton has company today. I meant we're going to have a new exchange student from Paris..."
The girls beside Sam were squealing and excited to go to the world's fashion capital. Also, some were excited about whether Adrien Agreste would be chosen. Not only was he a model, but he was one of the hottest guys in the world.
"If Adrien is the one that comes here, then I can win his heart and become a model." one girl squealed.
"Even though Adrien is hot, he has nothing on my ghost boy, not that I won't show some compassion," Paulina said sweetly.
Danny facepalmed because he was annoyed by Paulina's crush over his ghost half. At first, he liked it but learned more about how shallow she was. Finally, Danny lost that crush on her and felt annoyed at her putting herself in danger to get close to him.
Some guys were talking about female superheroes that Danny didn't know anything about the French superheroes.
"You don't know who the French superheroes are?" Tucker said, shocked that Danny didn't know about them.
"I was busy dealing with ghosts, so I didn't know about these superheroes from France, Japan, or anywhere else," Danny told Tucker.
"These French superheroes are using magical jewelry that has been used for thousands of years. In addition, they have a new statue with one of the users of the ladybug hero in the museum." Sam explained.
"How do you know this, Sam?" Danny asked.
"I have a book that has information about the jewels, which are called Miraculous," Sam said.
"Take a look at this, Danny. These are the superheroes from in Paris." Tucker showed him a video of the heroes of France on his PDA.
Danny saw all the heroes facing off villains and saving Paris. But, the one that he was looking at the most was Ladybug. His cheeks turn bright pink. He thought Ladybug was cute.
Whoa... she's... cool. That outfit...
"Danny, Danny!" Sam waved her hand in front of him.
"Oh, um?"Danny snapped out of his dazed.
"You were gawking at Ladybug, Danny," Sam glared at him.
"Well, I was only admiring Ladybug, not gawking," Danny said to Sam.
"Yeah, right, and I'm wearing light blue." Sam scoffed.
"The Adventure of Huckfin, everyone calms down!" Lancer said.
The students stopped talking and began to listen to Lancer.
"The student that will be going as the exchange student is Sam Manson," Lancer announced as all the female students complained to him about being chosen.
"Why is goth geek get to go to Paris and not me or Star? I'm the most popular and deserving of going to Paris." Paulina said to their teacher.
"She was chosen and not you, Ms. Sanchez because school drew her name and not yours or Ms. Strong," Lancer explained.
Paulina puffed up her cheeks, and Star didn't say anything about her not being chosen.
"And why do I have to go to France?" Sam asked.
"The school is the one that chose you, Ms. Manson," Lancer answered.
Sam deeply sighed that she was chosen to be going to France instead of being here with her friends.
After class was over, Sam began to complain to Danny and Tucker. She wanted Danny to overshadow the people who chose her for the student exchange program, but Danny didn't know who to overshadow Sam to get her out of the program, so Sam had to go to France.
"Look on the bright side, Sam. At least you don't have to deal with the cheerleader over here. And you don't have to listen to Lancer's dull lessons." Tucker said.
True...
After school was over, Danny, Tucker, and Sam went to Sam's house to pack her things for the student exchange program.
Sam's parents were really going to miss their daughter for the student exchange program in Paris. However, they saw a silver lining to this. She was going to the same school as Adrien, and maybe she could meet him and finally have some better friends than Danny and Tucker.
After Danny and Tucker finished helping, Sam packed her things. Then, the two male best friends left and told Sam they would meet her at the airport tomorrow morning.
Airport
Danny, Tucker, and Sam's parents went to the airport to say goodbye to Sam.
"We'll see you later, Sam. And please give me some of the french girl's number while you are at it," Tucker said, which got him punched in the arm by Sam.
"Be careful with that Hawkmoth guy," Danny warned.
"I will, Danny," Sam said as she left to get on her flight to Paris, France.

Latte (He)art ~^~ [Dannette]
@laurette-moi
Danny was supposed to be studying, but for the first time in his life since he could remember: he was having trouble focusing. He couldn’t study in his room at the new house on Avon Trail. He felt restless. So, he was trying something new today: Hatter’s.
Maybe the hustle and bustle would be like white noise so that he could focus.
It hadn’t really worked. Instead, he’d been doodling.
Didn’t really know what he was drawing. At first, it was just squiggles. Filling in a square at the edge of his notebook in intricate patterns. Then, he began to fill in little squares he found within the square, until the whole thing was blacked out and his fingertips were stained with ink. His pen ran away across the page after that. The lines flowed and curled, until he realized he was drawing ocean waves. Over and over and over again.
He was so focused that he didn’t even notice someone hovering at first. By the time he did, he didn’t know if she had said anything or if she was, really, even hovering, though when he looked up--they made eye contact and he felt obligated to take out a headphone, especially because it looked like she worked there. “Uh, did--do you need something?”

This will happen fast
A love letter from the Father….. 🙌🏼
Breathe, dear child. Before you even reached this moment, I prearranged everything. I will be there right when you need Me and I will show up with My saving delivery.
I could never forget you, so don’t be worried about your deadlines and needs. Forget about the similar times long ago, when you were wounded with anguish and faced terrifying things. I assure you that those times are over and everything is completely new and better.
Take Me at My word and let go of the fears that cause resistance and doubt. Those fears are only illusions and have no substance or truth. I’ll make sure all your needs are taken care of. You won’t be hurt by your sacrifice and will not be disappointed by your decision to trust Me.
Make an investment of faith and I will give you back magnificently more to do all you have dreamed. My promise will not fail to emerge and I will always be there to support you as your everlasting Friend and giver of all good things.
Let the gigantic weight of stress roll off of your shoulders and trust who I am for you. I will guard you against your fears coming true and protect you from loss or injury–both you and those who depend on you.
Nothing can stop what I have ordained for your life. No man, nor darkness, nor any other force–has power over what I will do–promotion comes from Me. Absolutely nothing can defy My orders or take My blessing away from your name.
I am with you and every detail is under My watchful eye. You can lay all of your life in My promise and the weight of those who depend on you. I gave you a promise and that promise will be fulfilled every time.
I am not a man who can lie nor will I be changing My mind. I will do just as I said and you will see it fulfilled with your own eyes. I will honor and reward you lavishly—for investing your faith in Me. You’ll be lavishly cared for and wrapped in My rescuing love all over again. I am the very best deliverer of gifts!
Think and believe as though you were already at the fulfilled destination that you long to be, like an astronomer seeing history while gazing into space. Far away things in outer space have already come true because seeing the light reveals the existence of those objects at the time when the light passed through.
Now watch this! I will show up like a rocket with wings, bringing a faster-than-light delivery to save the day. Like a fighter jet, I will block off your enemies and intercept the target.
I will do as you have asked, and show up before the time of great need. Your ears will hear the relief emerge, like the sonic boom of an aircraft traveling so fast that it breaks the sound barrier with an intensely good change.
Let’s do this, I am calling you into a rapid upward lift. You won’t regret this moment when you see what I have done. You’ll be amazed by the intensity of My arrival–this will happen so fast–you’ll be dizzy with delight as your joy revives!
In a very small interval of time–I will fly you into dramatic distances at great speed. You’ll rise to honor–in an instant–and everything will be drastically changed!
Jump in and let’s start moving up! I am going to show you even more love than you ever dreamed or thought. I will raise you up to heights undiscovered–you’ll be seeing stars as I catapult you to a whole new level!

if you have any 🔥 thoughts on Mary I’d be very interested, otherwise how about a more general ‘female characters in comics/superhero media’ as a prompt?
i have to say that following you has definitely gotten me very interested in mary and i find her especially fascinating as a lover & enjoyer of the golden age of comics. i've always felt that wonder woman's significance as a heroine has been vastly overstated in all critical discussions of the golden age of comics -- the first female superhero should rightfully be acknowledged as ma hunkel/red tornado when she predates diana by two years; and wonder woman being a legitimate member of the justice society of america is a purely modern invention, she had been their secretary in all 1940s appearances. by comparison, mary marvel stands out as having never been portrayed as lesser than her male counterparts. different, certainly, but equal all the same! i find that a nearly revolutionary stance for the time and i think i'm one of the few that doesn't mind her goddess-given powers, it's a detail that feels so purely golden age to me it doesn't come across as anything other than charming.
on the other hand, there's very little about the very modern marvel family (especially as so many of their appearances have been intertwined with black adam, whom i dislike as a character) that i find particularly interesting and i was very grateful for both multiversity & justice league incarnate bringing back some of that sweet golden age allure! consequently, i'm very very excited for the new champion of shazam as the preview alone made me certain mary's finally gonna be treated like a real and complex character with a story worth telling, and in doc's hands she certainly won't be hypersexualized or subject to any of the other major woes i have with most female characters.
in fact, i'll admit i do dislike a lot of modern female characters in comics/superhero media because i feel like they're severely lacking a personality or are often hypersexualised or reduced to #girlbosses or god knows what else. that situation is particularly dire with non-straight female characters, as we can see with harley & ivy (my lifelong enemies), and the fact of the matter is that i find characters subjected to the male gaze thrice over incredibly difficult to see as relatable or particularly worthy of further investigation and/or interest. due to that unfortunate reason, the kind of female characters i most often gravitate towards are definitely 1940s ones like libby lawrence/liberty belle or even mary, all oddly aided in avoiding the pitfalls of modern gals by various publishing guidelines of the era and a wartime predisposition towards genuine equality (and i do also enjoy faux-golden age ones like dannette reily/firebrand, who was definitely & intentionally written in the spirit of back then).
thank you!!!!!!! <33333333

Making a living off of art
Daniel Dannett said that in rationality it takes two to tango. So likewise, in writing, we kind of need to be in tune with the climate of thinking that happens in the world, if we are to write well; still, I believe there is a lot value in developing your own thought-world. It seems that as an artist you can either do nothing and live off social security, or somehow become a success, and then live off of royalties and other such benefits. In this way, there is a lot of things that kind of happen. We do a lot of things. I don't really know. It seems we can begin to say anything, but there is a lot of nonsense in what we say. I don't know. It's interesting. The essence of manifold things is pretty weird. The essence of simple things is exquisite: we do all kinds of things and we don't really understand this, but the things that are there are kind of there and we do something. I don't know.
I wish I could just transform this blog into a profitable enterprise, but things are not that simple. You can't just write random words and get people to give you money. But the church shows us that there are certainly patterns of speech that can be profitable, because in the end all the church is is a grand mysticism surrounding words. I think it is wonderful, but I am too free-spirited to live in the church, because I do pray, but I oftentimes I don't know what I pray to - you know, the more I think about it, the more I feel like I am perhaps deeply spiritual, but I don't care about organized religions, although I do think priest is a cool profession. It's shit. We say all these things but there is nothing right about it. Art is a gruelling process. The road to Parnassus is terrific. You know, you need to get your art published and it all needs to be recognized; but I am no artist, I am a philosopher, which means I do something eminently natural: I make things with words, but I am no poet, so I guess we should say I sometimes say something. But this time element is horrifying.
Here is where I would introduce the principle of ordering. The metaphysical truth regarding order is kind of hard to fathom, because it lies beyond the pale of pure reason, but it is not dialectical, nor is it mystical: there is something concrete about it, that we can see - but the fact is that in the process of ordinary psychology we must say there is constant ebb and flow of real things. You know, I often thought that to be a success artistically one needed to be completely calm, somehow, completely spiritually alive, to come up with exactly those right words; and people do say some really profitable things at times, when we really entertain someone with a particular turn of phrase.
But this is all the hopeful blathering of someone without limitless talent, nor the desire to spend gruelling hours churning out some witless story. I really believe that metaphysics is a concrete expression of willpower. That it can be an assertion of the philosophical lifestyle. You know, I pass so many moments in stoicism that I sometimes really start to believe it that I am stoic; and without stoicism, what would I be? But that is a terrible thing, that we would somehow derive our identity from our silly philosophical school that we adhere to, but then, Mozart would've been nothing without the style he composed in, but of course stoicism is something from another age; nevertheless, stoicism is very much adequate for today's ills perhaps, but it happens in a confused and incomprehensible way, but this is precisely why we need metaphysics; if anything, metaphysics the literary component of stoic practice, and writing metaphysics is not school, but ascesis, which means we do it to become stronger, not wiser. In that sense, metaphysics is something markedly different than philosophy proper.
I say, there are organizations that provide - or even sell - prompts for writing - of course that is admirable, but we don't really need prompts, all we need is accomodation for our thoughts, like a magazine. I admire magazines because they are written in a conversational style yet contain many high-flown thoughts. This is in fact the beginning of being a professional philosopher: to embrace the magazine, as opposed to the novel or the newspaper. The newspaper is great for philosophy as well, but yet again, it is not, because philosophy is more of a pastime than a complete job, even though it may be a real job; you know, I am always curious what I am going to write next, and when I have to think all for myself, it always seems like I am just making stuff up; that's what I said, it takes two to tango. I think it is a marvelous thought. Daniel Dennett is a refined thinker and a model citizen.
If you would truly need a good laconic saying concerning the truth of the philosophy of ordering, it'll have to be something along the lines of: we've got to be free. However, that has nothing to do with today's topic. So I will say that there is obviously the time and the space elements in this dispute. Ordering conveys both, time and space, money and talent. The wise man is nourishing his talent through ordering: he becomes aware of so many things that can truly accomodate himself in certain things: his writing is just a dalliance. The concept of money certainly appeals to wisdom, for the wise man is also rich; the formalism of talent belongs to the realm of intelligence, because power only lies in intellect. So what we see is that the signality of reflection certainly lies in being a rich intellectual. A rich intellectual can spend all his time writing genius works because he has order. This is fortunate, because I am a rich intellectual. I am reading stoic texts as well as Proust - I am an intellectual. And I inherited my father's fortune, which was also substantial. So I have all the preconditions for being orderly, now I just need to turn it into a business. But that is not the philosophical answer. You see, ordering demands that we become free. So we have assert a new class of automatic degeneracies to ascertain the automatic disintegrity of the mainstay of fundamental ideosyncrasies. I did not mean by that that there is any fundamental delirium from being employed by incentives of a pristine order, but here we are. In other words, the metanoia of art is only ordering, and we are free only in the context of Logos, which is a deconstructive conversation. Everything is a text, but the ideas employed by happy renunciation are imaginary, so a picture says more than a thousand words.

MISSING: The Millbrook Twins
MISSING: The Millbrook Twins
When twin sisters Jeannette and Dannette Millbrook go missing in Augusta, Georgia in 1990, police are quick to write them off as runaways…even though the signs point to something much more sinister. And if not for a family that refused to give up… and a podcast that shed light on some of the injustices they’ve faced…we probably wouldn’t know anything about them. Because even though this is one of…
