Cautionary Tale: ??
Story:
While the prospect of becoming a mother came as quite the surprise, Furzerose came to love the kits that she would have. She spent days just thinking about them. What would they look like? How many would she have? Should she name them now or wait until she saw them?
For just a moon, they were her entire life. Feeling them in her belly became so normal. Much as she disliked the discomfort, she loved any reminder that her kits were right there! They would be coming so, so soon. She would be a mother!
She should have been a mother.
ThunderClan had invaded the camp. Most of the ShadowClan warriors were away on patrol. Furzerose had to help her Clanmates--she tried to be as careful as she could, but then a ThunderClan tom grabbed her, slammed her to the ground--
Her son was born dead. Her precious little one, her Sweetkit...There was no better name for him. He was her sweetheart, her baby, her little one...and he was stolen from her before they could ever even meet.
Furzerose was numb. She remained in the nursery for a couple moons longer while she processed her grief, before slowly being coaxed into the warriors' den.
Then one day, while picking a lizard from the fresh-kill pile, her jaw dropped and the reptile tumbled to the ground.
That warrior!
That warrior was being escorted in by a patrol. The warrior introduced himself as Shrewfly and pleaded to join the Clan, as one of the ShadowClan she-cats--one of Furzerose's supposed allies, mind you--was pregnant with his kits.
He was going to be a father.
Furzerose was going to have to see him every day, happy and carefree while he got to see his kit everday, while Furzerose's last memory of her son was a corpse.
She made her distaste known, making comments against Shrewfly's origins whenever she could, and refusing to help at all with his and that traitor's kit, Frostkit.
Truthfully, she didn't care all too much which Clan he came from. But he was the one that killed her Sweetkit. She wanted to make his life as uncomfortable and hard as she possibly could.
Then Frostpaw was apprenticed to her.
Furzerose could see later how it was clearly due to her strongly held opinions. Dawnstar likely wanted her to bond with Frostpaw so that maybe she would become softer towards her parents.
At the time, though, Furzerose saw it as a blessing from StarClan.
Her kit was stolen from that fox-heart, and now here she was, in complete control and power over his own kit.
She let her live for two moons. If she killed her right away, it would be suspicious. It was hard to contain herself. Every time she saw that vile little fox-kit, she was reminded of her son. When Frostpaw's tail flicked, Furzerose thought of Sweetkit's undeveloped nub. When Frostpaw bounced on her paws, Furzerose thought of how Sweetkit's were surrounded by worms. Away, in the dirt. Away from her.
But keeping her alive for two more moons meant two more moons of Shrewfly loving his daughter, spending time with her, growing his love of her...making it harder to get over her.
Frostpaw was nervous, but had complete confidence in her when Furzerose ordered her to fight the dog when it came charging towards them.
Frostpaw tried at first, then quickly turned-tail and climbed up the same tree that Furzerose was taking shelter in. Furzerose wasn't going to let her get away that easily!
She grabbed the apprentice and threw her down to that dog. But she lost her grip and Frostpaw pulled at her--they both tumbled to the ground.
Furzerose would land on her head. Everything would go black the moment she smacked against the uneven ground.
But the few seconds before, as she fell from the branch, she could hear the terrified and painful screeching of Frostpaw as the dog's jaws grabbed her from the air, and she fell smiling.
Additional Information:
--This takes place just before Cloudstar's Journey. The kits he had that he left with the Clans at the end would be older apprentices by the beginning of this story.
--Shrewfly didn't notice that she was pregnant because of the rush of battle. If he had, he never would have touched her.

Rank: warrior
Characteristics: incredibly shy, hates bothering others, would rather suffer than risk embarrassment, doubts himself a lot, has severe anxiety

Number of Victims: 4+ (unintentional)
Number of Murders: 4 (unintentional)
Murder Method: neglecting own sickness and spreading it to others
Known Victims: Cloudkit, Lakefeather, Stormpeak, his Clanmates
Victim Profile: elders, kits, warriors
Cause of Death: greencough
Cautionary Tale: ??
Story:
He was horrible at expressing his needs or wants, or anything that might bother someone else.
He wanted to confess his feelings to his long-time crush, but he was sure that she would say no and feel awkward and uncomfortable. Eventually she found a mate in someone else, and together they had kits.
It was the future Shortberry could have had....but it was fine. She was happier with the other tom than she would have been with him, surely.
He had wanted to become a medicine cat as a kit, but his parents were clearly hoping he would be a warrior, and he didn't want to let them down...
It is ironic, then, that he and his victims fell to sickness.
It was only a sniffle, he had told himself. The medicine cat had expressed displeasure at cats who visited for minor reasons, especially with it being leaf-bare and herbs being short on stock...
It was nothing.
He was just being dramatic, he always was.
So he continued to sleep in the warriors' den. He continued to go on patrol and catch food that the others would eat, and to share tongues with his Clanmates who, day-by-day, started to notice how tired he looked.
By the time they realized he was sick, it was too late. It had already spread. Many had gotten sick, and the medicine den was becoming increasingly full. There were so little herbs to help them all...
Lakefeather, the oldest elder, fell first.
Then came Cloudkit, merely two moons old.
Stormpeak came last, the only warrior that succumbed to the illness, other than Shortberry.
When he died, Shortberry was one of the few 'lucky' ones to be put on trial. However, he saw no reason to be accepted into a paradise like StarClan. He was an idiot, too cowardly to share his concerns with an irritable medicine cat, and because of that--because of him--three of his Clanmates died, one of them a kit.
He told the cats who faced him that he did not deserve a place among the Stars, and accepted his place in the Dark Forest.

Story:
WolfFern was born in a very large Clan mostly made out of his kin, but he never got very close to anyone except GoldfishFur.
WolfFern grew up to be the incredibly ambitious apprentice to the deputy, WolfFade.
It was truly a shame when sweet, elderly WolfFade showed up dead outside camp after WolfFern was made Champion.
He didn’t have any issue with killing his mentor. It was just a necessity to become leader. WolfFern spent a moon planning how to get rid of CicadaStar, but in the end he didn’t need to. The anxious, thin leader who never shared how many lives he had left got sick and, to WolfFerns luck, was on his last life.
Within a moon of becoming a warrior, he was deputy. Within a moon of becoming deputy, he was now leader.
WolfStar starting killing. Sometimes those who annoyed him, sometimes for fun.
He began washing his paws very frequently, which his best friend GoldfishFur noticed. GoldfishFur helped him kill many more cats, and forced WolfStar into a code of sorts. Helped him cover his tracks. And in return, GoldfishFur was made deputy.
Over many moons his kill count grew, and he even found a mate of convenience. He had very few friends, and needed a way to keep connected to the Clan. To seem devoted to them. They had RainKit, MistleKit, and BristleKit together.
Many, many more Clanmates died, and Wolfstar realized that he didn’t feel any grief in killing any of them, not even his kin.
He took on many apprentices, and even appointed a Champion: HollowStripe, however he would have to wait until HollowStripe was no longer with kits.
GoldfishFur helped him commit countless more murders and continued to do so after he retired early from his chronic joint pain in his front leg. BroomDust was an easy deputy to manipulate, but everyone knew GoldfishFur called the shots.
The only time WolfStar truly grieved for was their father, PuppyNut. Wolfstar never received visions, but that night he prayed for PuppyNut to visit him.
The secrets, the constant lies and covers, all the small injuries hidden in his long fur caught up to him and he lost it. He killed ten Clancats in front of the clan, and everyone was too scared when GoldfishFur turned on them as well to stand up to the cruel duo.
And, to his Clan's horror, he began skimming the corpses and piling them in the centre of camp as an example.
At the next elder's ceremony, he slashed SpiderWhiskers throat out. A couple cats died from the stress, more killed by GoldfishFur and WolfStar. HollowStripe was an easier deputy to manipulate anyway. Eventually WolfStar and GoldfishFur organized an attack with a group of rogues.
WolfStar died of his injuries, but not before nearly exterminating the Clan.

Cause of Death: thrown into pit of starving rabid cats, snake bite.
Cautionary Tale: beware the quick cats with long legs and sharper claws that haunt the forests
Story:
GoldfishFur got along perfectly with his Clan. In fact, he was very popular.
When he caught WolfStar in the middle of a murder, GoldfishFur killed the cat before it could scream to him for help.
WolfStar exposing the murders was very against their original plan, but GoldfishFur still used it to his advantage. The Clan now fully trusted him instead.
He regretted the murders when he saw his Clanmates grieving, and he grieved for all the cats he had killed. One, however, nearly broke him: ChasingShade.
The two were fighting with a fox when GoldfishFur’s weak leg gave out, and the fox tore out ChasingShade's throat.
When the deputy, BroomDust, spoke badly about WolfStar, GoldfishFur killed him before the Clan as an example. The sweet, goofy cat turning on his family.
GoldfishFur had kits whom he loved, and desperately tried to keep out of the way of the rogue attack. The Clan fought back, stronger than they’d expected, and GoldfishFur was bitten by a snake after being backed up over the snake rocks.
Before he could succumb to the venom, he was torn apart.

Victim Profile: cats from QuickStar’s family tree
Cause of Death: neck torn out by wolf
Cautionary Tale: beware the quick cats with long legs and sharper claws that haunt the forests
Story:
HollowStar lasted a few moons after he became leader to the once thriving ClubmossClan, now shaken down and beaten from the inside.
With so many cats having been murdered at the paws of WolfStar and GoldfishFur, the lan was left in shambles. Cats turning on each other, Clans spreading word of curses. It was all too much. They had to be right! It was all a curse!
For decades, the Clans have been plagued by QuickStars legacy. It had to end. But first, HollowStar had something to do first.
He only killed one cat directly, and that was WolfLilac. He couldn’t stand to hear her name called across camp.
She was fierce, and put up a big fight. He earned a couple scratches along his back in exchange for her life.
Next, he gathered as much deathberries as possible alongside his two surviving daughters, born secretly to a rogue and haven grown up in Twolegplace. They were young, and listened to him out of an eagerness to impress their father.
They squeezed the deathberries into the pond, and within a day, half the Clan was seizing, frothing at the mouth, and convulsing on the ground by the drinking pond.
His daughters waited patiently by his side while the screams slowed, more and more surviving cats deserting. If they were of QuickStar’s decent, they were swiftly disposed of by some rogues who were helping in exchange for safe passage through the forest.
His daughters should have checked the prey he’d given them, for maybe they would have noticed the lily petals left inside it the day prior.
It was finally over! Starclan would be so proud of him!
The scent of blood quickly overtook the forest, leaving HollowStar in the middle. He should have realized that the starving wolves would have been interested in the easy meal.

Wills: "I left a lot out, but he’s one of my favourites and is incredibly interesting. He hid that he was killing for years from his clan. He never had an attachment to his kits or mate, only ever getting close with GoldfishFur and HollowStripe."
*He drove the Xlan mad. No one was brave enough to stand up to him.
*He’s a very big and strong cat, and he’s about as ruthless as Alder/Myrtle and GremlinFrost.
--Gold:
Wills: "also a very interesting cat from clangen, and again one of my favourites."
*Almost all events from these two stories are from clangens generated story itself!
cv Clangen Images are from the brief moments he was in starclan during his trial.
--Hollow:
*Few of QuickStar’s decendants possibly got away, but not very many.
*HollowStripe was actually a very sweet child before WolfStar took him under his wing (arm? Paw?)
*The end of QuickStar’s legacy!

Garden Day
FleaThistle huffed, shaking the seeds off of his paw pad and into the small hole he’d dug.
He sat back, stretching out his shoulders and for a brief moment he tried to imagine that the sun was still here, that this was just another time building a garden after sneaking away from camp.
Opening his eyes, the mangled shadowed branches above swayed slightly in the wind, with small wispy clouds covering one of the red moons.
The dim light shun down on his garden, making the poppies look almost as if they were glowing.
Convincing cats to let them pick through their fur to find stray seeds was quite a challenge, but with the help of some friends they ended up with a good pile of seeds.
MottleCry was kind enough to help them gather organs, and he’d even convinced GoblinSnap and GremlinFrost to help!
Even if the two were a bit concerning in the ways they got them..
Picking through his fur, he thought of all the people who had helped him with the garden.
MouseSpots was another friend who helped out, along with BasilTooth and Ferndoe.
As soon as FleaThistle found the small, speck-like poppy seeds he knew that he had to grow her some flowers. Depending on how many they can grow, she might even be able to give the newest residents some as welcoming gifts!
It was kind of weird, being so excited while in hell. FleaThistle had expected to be killed again within the first few minutes, but most of the cats here were relatively nice.
He’d been so scared, so anxious when he had arrived. Frozen in the spot, he had squeezed his eyes shut and waited for the pain.
But none of them hurt him, and now he’s here. Building a garden with some amazing friends.
Especially FadingStar. He was so cool. He listened and even took interest in his plants, and was the one to suggest starting a garden.
The small sprouts struggled to grow in the damp and murky depths of the dark forest, but after some trial and error they had a bit of plant diversity, although they did have a lot of mushrooms…
FleaThistle stretched, shaking the dirt from his pelt as he carefully stepped around the sprouts.
MottleCry’s extra long claws were a huge help once he’d convinced the pale Tom, and he made small rows for them.
FleaThistle crouched, leaping over a patch of moss with small spot-like white flowers in it, his paws slipping in the mud.
Sliding into a tree, he quietly tried to unpeel himself from the bark, looking up to a very confused FadingStar.
“I left you for five minutes, what happened?” FadingStar said through a mouthful of rocks, the words muffled and distorted.
“Trees.” FleaThistle blinked blankly, giving his chest fluff an awkward lick as he tried not to laugh.
It was a pitiful attempt, broken by JackDawFoot rounding the corner with a pelt full of random leaves and twigs he’d gotten stuck in his fur while helping them.
JackDaw looked at them blankly, with FleaThistle’s forearms still wrapped around the tree in an almost-embrace, and FadingStar trying to talk around a mouthful of rocks.
FleaThistle tried to smile at JackDaw, but the absolutely massive Tom just shook his head slowly and walked over to help them as FadingStar choked on a pebble.
FleaThistle gave a very happy little chirp as he properly detached from the tree, bouncing over to pick through JackDaw’s fluff for seeds.
He dug through the soft, wispy grey-brown strands, tilting his head down so as not to have the fur tickle his muzzle, as he gently pawed through his fur, careful not to pull.
They had found most of the seeds buried in JackDaws pelt so far, and in TurtleStepper’s herb pouch where he puts the dried herbs used for his asthma.
Poking out of the fluff to look at the others, with them laughing and talking as if this were a normal day outside of camp, mingling between patrols, it was growing easy to feel at ease here.
And maybe the dark forest wasn’t as bad as he thought.
______
The garden is surrounded by pebbles that TurtleStepper collects
FernDoe spends a lot of time looking at the budding flowers.
LoonFur has tried to pour blood on the seedlings in an attempt to “make them stronger” and FleaThistle didn’t have the heart to tell her no so he made a small patch for her to take care of a few small mushrooms, which are the hardiest ones he could find.
Jackdaw just walks by the garden once a day or so and just. Shakes a ton of seeds from his pelt. TurtleStepper has 100% had an asthma attack from this and been banned from getting too close to the garden
While picking through jackdaws fur for seeds, FleaThistle just goes off about how pretty FadingStar is and jackdaw is just sitting there, fur over his eyes so he can’t even see, as a tiny ass sarcastic fleaball of a cat pokes his head out of his fur to talk about his crush.
FleaThistle keeps the first flower he ever grew in his nest
StumpPaw and FleaThistle have “gardening night” where once a week they teach everyone who’s interested how to properly care for a plant.
Each cat gets there own sprout to take care of

MouseSpots belongs to @ambitiousauthor
