Ok I have this weird thing where when I develop an interest in characters, I wonder what their living spaces are like? It happens without me even trying. My brain just goes "this is what their bedroom looks like fuck you." Idk, I guess it's just a neat way of looking into character personalities

So I have a question for those who are into Mario movie dk like me:

I know the og donkey kong is known for living in his cabin/tree house. But I feel like this dk has a vibe where idk... I just feel like he lives with his dad in the castle (or whatever you wanna call it). I was imagining a room with a big hammock attached to two tree trunks sprouting up from the floor. Maybe he's living in the palace for now, and later he gets his own place? What do you think?

One of my favorite moments during the Mario movie (slight spoilers btw) is when Mario and DK seemed like they were about to have a heart to heart

DK’s all like “my dad thinks I’m a joke” and Mario’s like “yeah mine too” and I was like oh ok I see where this is going they’re going to bond over their daddy issues but

NOPE

DK is just like “your dad’s right you DO suck”

I lost my mind, what a good subversion 10/10 no notes

What if? now hear me out!

You know how donkey Kong and Mario have a frenemy situation going on, they totally make fun of each other every time they see each other but it’s all fun and games and they don’t ever really mean anything that they say.(for the most part)

Here’s the thing what if when DK met Luigi he noticed how different His personality is to Mario as well as how protective Mario is. Cuz of this Donkey Kong treats lu different from how he treats Mario

maybe he saw the way spike Mario and Luigi interacted and that’s when he took notice

So when it comes to luigi He’s kind and friendly and his very much like a dude bro to him.

I can imagine donkey, con, seeing Luigi and he’ll be like “taller little man what’s happening!!” And he’ll ruffle up his hat and hair or

Luigi would say something dorky and donkey con would pointed out being like “you’re such a dork” but quickly after he’ll add in “never change”

Mario heavily appreciates this, because he doesn’t like it when people make fun of his brother, even if Luigi’s ok with it Mario perfers people to be kinder to his brother, especially since Luigi has experience being bullied.

Although Mario didn’t expect is for donkey Kong, and Luigi to sometimes gang up on him, or when Mario and DK had their little squabble Luigi would pretend to tell Mario off.

*half way through their playful banter”

D.K: luigiii!

Lu: yes?

D.K: your brother just called me shit for brains

Lu: MARIO!!

* Luigi dramatically gasps at his brother *

Luigi: now why would you say something like that you need to be more nice to your friends

* DK grinning, happy that lu Is playing along”

*Mario confused as all hell with his jaw completely dropped*

Mario: HE CALLED ME A MEATBALL!!

Lu: THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING MEAN YOU MEATBALL SAY SORRY TO YOUR FRIEND

Mario: HE’S NOT MY FRIEND

*DK placed a hand on his heart with a dramatic gasp faking being heartbroken*

Lu: MARIO!!! U take that back this instant young man!!

Mario: I’m older than you! what is this you’re my brother why do you betray me?

It’s all a bit, and they know it but Mario can’t help but be surprised at Luigi taking DK’s side and also can’t be more happy

(Also don’t worry because sometimes Luigi will gang up with Mario against DK)

OH MAN WE FINALLY FINISHED ACT 2 *whew* What a roller coaster, huh? Don’t forget to check the BGM starting on pg 37 👀👀👀. Or don’t huehue.

Ok, so, I will post ONE update for ACT 3 in a day or two and THEN I will go on a mini break from this comic to focus on other unfinished projects in the Masterpost. Projects include that animation and the alternate ending to The Tears Won’t Stop.

Today's April 5th, which means...

Our favorite movie turns one year old! 🤩👏🥳🎂💃✨

This movie was soooo important to me! 🥰 I was in a really bad place when it came out, so I'm not exaggerating when I say it saved my life! I literally owe my life to the Super Mario Brothers 🥹❤️💚

To celebrate, I decided to create five posts with gifs from this amazing movie! This will be the first, focusing on some characters and some of my favorite scenes from the film, and my three favorite characters will have their own posts that will be shared later today! Unfortunately I can't add any more gifs, but I think this sums up very well my favorite scenes from the movie and also some of the characters aside from Mario, Luigi and Peach! I LOVE all of these characters and I wanted them to have at least one gif dedicated to them 🥹

And the scenes are my absolute favorites! 🤩 The commercial, the fight against DK, the Mario Kart part, the moment Mario and DK get to the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario training, the babies (did not expect at all to see the bros as babies!), the whole Superstar scene, the ending... And the Fire Flower field, where we get some of the cutest Mareach moments in the whole movie 🥹 And I decided to highlight them together with a couple more simply because I love these two cuties so so much ❤️🩷

I also had to highlight my two favorite scenes. My God, the moment Mario and Luigi reunite and hug, Mario on the verge of tears, Luigi unable to stop laughing... My heart warms every single time I see it and I also tear up, these two brothers are just so adorable and love each other so so much!!! They'd literally do ANYTHING for each other and I just LOVE their beautiful and deep bond 🥹❤️💚

Btw, if you love this beautiful scene just as much as I do, you may wanna check this post I shared a while back if you haven't yet! 🥰

And last but not least, I truly get goosebumps every single time I see Luigi standing in front of Mario to protect him from Bowser's fire with the manhole. It was finally the time for my beloved Luigi to shine!!! 🥹🥹🥹 It was the evidence that he's just as brave as his big brother and is just as willing to protect him at all costs as Mario is willing to do the same for him. They're a team, they'll always be there for each other and nothing can hurt them as long as they're together 🥹❤️💚

I'm just so happy this movie exists! As I said, I owe it my life, so it'll always live in my heart and soul rent-free 🥹💚❤️
