The longest DnD campaign I have played so far has finally ended. I had a lot of fun playing Thalra, but hopefully we'll go back to Tal'dorei again someday. I’ll miss her and her dumb wizard nerdery and paranoia.
She now has a girlfriend though and they make an awesome wizard and holy assassin power couple!
Once again, credit to @jookpubstock for the refs for photos 3 and 4!
" What do you call a rodent that contracts vampirism? " The question was asked, a grin stretching on her lips. Let the build up happen before she finally speaks again. " A mouse-quito. "
Hey mutual, got any DM tips for me? I'll trade you for some fun statblocks I made for my party of combat goblins
So, this will be kind of chaotic and unorganized, as I’m recovering from an ear infection and ruptured ear drum that’s made everything very fuzzy and confusing.
Make the players do the hard work. When it comes to NPCs, for any reason, can you pull them from character backstories? Or even go so far as to ask players if they want to create an NPC during the game. This is something I picked up ripping a lot of the Star Wars Edge of the Empire games, which is most of my experience tbh. If they create NPCs, it gives them more freedom and agency.
Also, with puzzles, let them be creative and don’t worry about the correct solution. If they’re creative enough or try really hard- I make that the solution. Makes them feel good, means I don’t have to come up with a solution, and keeps the story moving.
me: okay, so you failed to sneak out of the tavern without being notice and you've been spotted by two guards who recognise you. They're about to raise the alarm, what do you do?
Dragonborn Bard: let's do 'get help'!
Goliath Barbarian, not hesitating for a second: *grabs the Dragonborn and yeets him at the guards with a nat 20*
i remember one time when i was in a dnd campaign my dm set a ambient village sound in the discord group call we were in by using a bot and we were playing normally and i fucking suddenly hear a minecraft chicken noise in the background. idk wtf the audio maker was doing when making this but they fucking put a minecraft chicken noise into a village ambience video and it played like every few minutes. i lost my shit and pointed it out to the party. ever since then we couldnt take that fucking audio seriously
I was watching vines and then...things happened at 1 am last night. This is inspired by my dice luck 😂.
Xalene, the little elf, is my friends's dnd character✨
