So rough story of what happened! While doing some self discovery on Eliza's behalf, and general curiosity on Denice's behalf, The Lab activated Eliza's berk-fluence (Berkley's Influence) to allow her to see why it had locked them in the fridge they were in! It's bc Berkley was beating the shit out of Marley, someone she deeply cares about!

So she uh- she kinda snapped! She never turned off the berkfluence (hence the green around her pupil), PEELED THE DOOR OFF OF IT'S HINGES, AND BRUTE FORCED THE LAB TO TURN 3 STAIR CASES INTO 1 TO CONFRONT BERKLEY

And she gave him a choice :) "Stop hurting Marley, or else I'll undo some of your work." He asked for clarity and she clarified purposefully hurting poi! And he said that already undoes some of his work! And she started counting down from 5 in the stair way.

She only intended to use the spell Catapult to YEET her heart box down to the bottom of the stair but uhhhhh, oopsie, she fell too bc of the sensation of the heart box falling! And she lost the exact amount of remaining hit points she had! (Which makes it officially, the THIRD TIME she's fallen to her death!)

And oh gosh, Berkley was JUST too slow to catch her! :) What a shame! :)

But Denice got to hear him scream in pain and see him distressed!!!! :D So W in chat for Denice!

(Also Denice's one eye is closed bc he's hiding the fact his sclera is now black in that eye!)

TADC Obsession AU

So yes I finally made this a whole ass AU- which is why I haven't posted art for a hot second. The idea of this honestly kinda fucked up AU is that Ragatha is the protagonist HOWEVER we see the story through the eyes of Pomni (aka it's a Second POV)

Let's meet the gang ^^

Amanda, or Ragatha, is a seamstress who has decided to move back into town in order to start anew with her dress making business. She was actually a little surprised to see a new face within the town

Eliza, or Pomni, is the new butcher for the town. Well 'new' for Amanda. In reality, she's been there for a few years now. And seeing that seamstress.... it was love at first sight for the deranged woman

Jackson, or Jax, is the younger brother of Amanda and a complete loser. He can't seem to keep a job to save his life and lives in a small but cheap ass apartment. Amanda is... slightly disappointed in him

Grace, or Gangle, is a librarian for the town. She's a bit of a germaphobe due to being a sickly kid, but thankfully she keeps gloves and face masks in her library as well as medkits all about

Zoe, or Zooble, is the owner of the tattoo parlor in the town. They were the first to be suspicious of Pomni, and therefore always warns people not to trust her. But, that won't stop everyone from doing so

Cesar, or Kinger, is a sad soul. Only leaving his house for work and to go shopping, he's hardly seen out of his house. Ever since Quinn, his wife, had gone missing- he's not had the best time recovering

Caine is the CEO of one of the most well-known meat production sites in the United States. He stays in the small town, finding it very quant, and it had the benefit of having his favorite customer!

Marina, or Moon, is Caine's wife and a detective for the local police force. Although she's incredible at her job, she seems to have run into a road block with a list of seemingly unrelated murders....

Summer, or Sun, is the older sister of Marina and a schoolteacher for the town. She's a kind soul who is trying to make sure no one worries, but isn't afraid to be blunt with others. In the middle of the madness

Bubble is, to put it simply, Caine and Marina's pet dog. Nothing more, nothing less (like actually I just wanted to draw Bubble as a dog)

Gabriella, or The Gloink Queen, is the manager of a local strip club known as 'The Gloink Cave'. Despite her business, and a very commanding personality, she's seen as a potential suspect for it all

Ivy, or The Influencer, is the local hermit of the town. Hardly leaves her apartment and is a local dark web and black-market salesman! She's a criminal with a fanbase. And Amanda's deranged cousin

My thoughs on the recent Skullgirls censorship

Okay. So. I’m not the kind of guy that’s gonna call anyone a pedophile or a neo nazi or a racist for raising a fuss at the devs cutting out what they did.

I am, however, the kind of guy that’s gonna call everyone that’s throwing a conniption fit over a few cosmetic changes that effect NOTHING in the grand scheme of the game a pathetic, whiny, entitled crybaby BITCH for being so outraged about absolute NON-ISSUES.

What are you losing from not being able to stare at Filia’s ass in that one cutscene anymore? What’s being lost because they removed some armbands from the Egrets? This doesn’t make SENSE. All they changed was minor cosmetic stuff!

Filia’s panty shots? Who cares?! They’re not cutting out any of the stuff that makes people like the game, she’s still baring her midriff and wearing a belt in place of a skirt, that hasn’t changed! The sexualized stuff is still there! So Cerebella was censored in a FEW story shots where she’s in a non-consentinal situation where she’s literally about to be murdered or eaten, she’s still flashing her underwear in her actual gameplay! Parasoul, Ms. Fortune, Valentine, Eliza and Black Dahlia are all RIGHT THERE! Your precious sexual content hasn’t gone ANYWHERE, so this entire complain is just WORTHLESS and PATHETIC. You can’t handle the game being two percent less horny so you need to get all up in arms and review bomb the game in an active effort to hurt it because of some minor changes?!

The Egrets armbands make perfect sense! Maybe when the game was initially pitched they were meant to be something more Nazi-esque, but that simply isn’t the case anymore! EVERY time we see the Egrets in the modern age, they are portrayed as GOOD GUYS. Parasoul is a righteous ruler that genuinely wants to do what’s best for her people, and the men she leads are the only people in power that are FIGHTING FOR THE PEOPLE. They don’t want to have their biggest force of GOOD associated with LITERAL NAZI SYMBOLISM. Why is that such a hard thing for people to grasp?! I keep saying people claim that the Egrets are supposed to be the bad guys. No the fuck they’re not, what are you even watching to think that?!

Big Band’s story mode, that I can kinda get, it was very important to his overall character, that is the one thing I won’t fault anyone for being upset over. At the same time though, I get why they did it. It’s a very topical issue that they don’t personally feel well equipped to handle, and it’s possibly a bit too real for their fun action fighting game where a cartoon character fights a ninja nurse. I don’t agree with this choice, but I can understand it.

 The concept art... I can also kiiiiind of get, I feel like if they’re gonna delete guest art they can at least replace it with new ones so that the fans are still getting SOMETHING out of it, but I can see what prompted the change. Like, them wanting to censor the fanservice on Filia and JUST Filia is not a big deal! If you don’t want to play the game with both hands, just pick Parasoul or Valentine ffs. And how often do you even go into the art gallery to look at images you can just as easily get online? This is another non-issue that doesn’ have anything to do with the game itself.

Finally, the Soviet Announcer voice pack. ...That voice pack was literally voiced by their fucking ABUSER. I can understand them wanting the voice of someone that hurt them OUT of the game they’re working on. Even if they got a different guy to voice it, it’s still a bit that was MADE by their abuser, Mike Z used it in his tutorials for Tager and Potemkin and it became a running gag. That voice pack is a literal reminder of someone who hurt them. So stop crying about “Muh soviet russia pack doh!” and accept the fact that they don’t want to hear his voice because it brings back painful memories for them. It’s not that hard. And as for Ben’s alternate voice pack? It’s literally based around sexual misconduct. So yeah.

I’m just pissed off that my favorite franchise of all time is suffering because some entitled, whiny little puke stains can’t handle minute changes that effect next to NOTHING about the game itself. Like a few cosmetic differences is the absolute end of the world. If you’re like that and you’re reading this? Stop crying like a little bitch, put on your big boy pants and accept the fact that these changes are LAUGHABLY MINOR. The designs are still the same. The story is still the same. The gameplay is still the same. The characters are still the same. The art style is still the same. EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS IS THE SAME. WHO. CARES?!

So I have a shit ton of Twst fankids btw! They kinda swim around in my brain but only a few ppl I know have gotten the info dumps lmao

Skye was the first one I made I think (actually it might’ve been Rico (florid) but eh oh well who’s counting)

But yes this is Skye Ashengrotto!

They’re my older Jamiazu kid, I do have two. The younger one is my octo boy Akram :) he’s funny I wanna pinch his cheeks but he’s not the point here

So Skye! It feels weird publically infodumping abt my OCs like wtf am I even supposed to put here

They’re a half mer, which do work a lil different than normal mers in my lore. Half mers can transform without a potion but it’s still a long and generally painful process, esp going from mer to human. I kind of switch between calling them a snake mer and a naga but there’s lore there- Nagas exist in my lore outside of sea snake mers, there are also fully terrestrial Nagas. So the terrestrial nagas wouldn’t be considered snake mers but the sea snake nagas would be a type of mer while also still being a naga ITS CONFUSING DONT ASK (actually do. Ask everything so I can roll more of my fankids out like marbles)

Skye was created by a spell, I haven’t quite worked the details out 😔 but Jamil is part gorgon in my lore which is why they have the hair snakes which isn’t a typical naga trait. And to elaborate on the hair snakes: they are alive, the one w the bigger stripes is Flora and the smaller stripes is Jett. Skye can communicate w them telepathically and their eyes glow which is kinda neat. They’re kind of Skye’s version of floatsam and jetsam (unless u count Rico (florid) and Lilac (treyjade) which is like their ver of the twins- IDK ITS COMPLICATED)

idk what else to put here so LETS THROW SOME FHARACTER DYNAMICS YEAH and also mentioning some of my other fankids! They all have profiles (except my Malleus kid I’m sorry Aihan I can’t think of a design for you) but I’m probably gonna save those for another post-

So jamiazu in my lore live in the Shaftlands in a beachfront place and also live pretty close to Treyjade, however Florid live in the Queendom. The octatrio and their spouses is a close group so they’re essentially a big family. My treyjade kids are Maren (older) and Lilac, then my Florid kids are Rico (older) and the twins Mary and Eliza.

Skye saw Lilac more as a kid cuz they lived so close together but also saw Rico a lot when flrd would visit or they’d go to visit them. Rico is an agent of chaos and Lilac is Skye’s 2nd in command so their dynamic on a surface level is pretty similar to the octatrio, but there’s still a lot of differences once u get into the meat of it. Tho Lilac and Rico are Skye’s best friends and basically like siblings to them.

Outside of jamiazu Skye is particularly close with Jade, they share a love of tea :) he’s their cool but also slightly unsettling uncle

THEN THERES SHENZI- Shenzi is my younger kaliruggie kid and I am not gonna get into her here bcuz she rlly needs her own post w all her trauma but good lord these two do not like each other. Shenzi’s really nice but she’s not quite as nice as Kalim so after about 5 months of trying and failing to befriend Skye in their freshman year she just gave up and now their relationship is nothing but hostile (which was not helped when Shenzi and lilac started dating)

Speaking of that tho- so my idikei kids :) Ember (named after the pokemon attack) is the older one and he’s basically that “Jock idia can’t hurt you he’s not real Jock idia:” thing as a person he has the Fire hair n shit but he plays basketball and is heavily extroverted but no one gives a shit abt Ember this is NOT ABT HIM this is abt his sister! Her name is Zelda because you know Idia would name his daughter Zelda- she got all of Idia’s social anxiety lmao. She’s extremely shy and there’s a total of like 4 people in the school she can actually talk to without melting into a small stain on the floor. She’s an Skye are both in board games club and sometime in early freshman year she falls on her ass and knocks over a bunch of stuff which Skye happens to witness and cue the most awkward interaction known to man bcuz Skye can’t talk to pretty girls and Zelda can’t talk to ANYONE but they end up walking to the mirror hall together afterwards which becomes a routine. Except they’re both awkward as fuck take like almost two fucking years to get together bcuz neither of them are gonna do anything abt it BUT THEYRE VERY CUTE!! I love them

Also my ashengrotto siblings are very wholesome I need to write some stuff w them- Akram is a little shit and he loves pissing Skye off but at the end of the day he admires them and Skye loves their brother a lot :)

I know I've asked about an oc of yours before, but it's been a bit and I don't really know your ocs, do you have a list of like, your favorite ones? The ones you most want to put in The Blender?

Oh boy, where do I begin

#1. My girl Crownox. She started off as an OC for the game Inscryption, before spiraling off into her own thing. She's a witch, she's a dumbass, she's bisexual, she's deranged, what more could you want.

#2. Macy. She's my Elden Ring OC. She's way too tired to function. She's also a useless lesbian.

#3. Eliza, Bathar, and Diantha. Crownox's friend group, and in Eliza's case, girlfriend. Eliza is a mad scientist, Bathar is a kelpie, and Diantha is a devil and also the closest thing the group has to a conscience.

What can you tell about Rowan, Eliza's brother? Is he exclusive to the warhammer au?

Nope, he's been around almost as long as she has, but I've never been quite satisfied with his face so didn't draw him as much. I think.

Here he is for Blades in the Dark a few years ago. And something stupid from a slasher AU a while back. Not my earliest art but the earliest I still like enough to share, oops. He's had a name change since then, though I think it's an in character one.

Uhhh Rowan is kinda Liz's polar opposite. Typical bored as shit rich brat, though got some good influences in his life a lot earlier than Liz and developed a conscience sooner. He likes numbers, does accounting for fun, and is pretty good at it.

The rest of the family basically ignores him, so he's been busy siphoning money into secret accounts and making escape plans for at least a decade. Not out of fear of thre family, but because they're terrible to be associated with and he wants to have a life.

He grew up with Liz as her younger sibling (only recently learning she's a clone), and aside from the usual sibling squabbles they actually got along well. Rowan has been her only real ally for a while and quietly helped her escape.

Rowan's goal in life is to run away and become a mysterious romantic gentleman in a quaint seaside town with a dark secret or something.

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?

Yes! An ancestor my mother was obsessed with, I think the original Irish immigrant in our family to move to Australia. Her name was Eliza, but that didn’t work with our surname so instead I was given one of the most popular names from the year I was born. I prefer to think I was named after my grandmother whose name was Elizabeth.

I used to be both a state level (field) hockey player and cross country runner in high school. I can swim really well too. I started running again a few years back but my knees started collapsing under me because of RA so that really put a stop to that.

I want a movie with a satisfying conclusion. So it doesn’t matter if it’s scary or happy or whatever, so long as it ties up nicely. Like, Saoirse Ronan’s film, ‘Brooklyn’, was really nice right up to the end, and then it left a whole lot of open stuff, and I was like, what was that all about? You know what I REALLY like? Bond films. They end satisfyingly.

I’m doing it! Music journalist. I didn’t train to be one (see art school above), but I used to write the entertainment column for my uni newspaper, and then about 12 years ago I used this background to blag my way into writing for PopWrapped and CelebMix, the latter of which I used to co-edit when it first started, until I started Essentially Pop in 2014. So basically I’m here to say you can pretty much do anything if you want it badly enough.

I sat with my book trying to get to the end of my chapter keeping an eye of course on little Eliza who sat so happily watching her show hugging her big moon plushie sitting in her star cushion. I suppose every kind hyperfocus' on something, just weirdly didn't think Eliza would be astronomy. Anything celestial related really. Moons. Stars. Constellations. Space. But not space ships, just space. Most of the time you can find her sitting watching Discovery channel space shows about stars and planets. A strange thing to focus on but it makes her so very happy so we had gone along with it bought her star themed clothes, celestial art for her room, space themed toys, all manner of things to make her happy. But that was also because she's a spoilt little thing. Mostly due to her father, I was always a bit more resistant with her about things waiting to buy her things till special occasions, or at times telling her no all together for things.

The issue was she's smart. And smart enough to know of mummy says no daddy will cave because daddy spoils her rotten and won't ever say no to his little girl and she knows this well as she often only asks him. 

I did want to put my foot down over how much he spoils her but he had done it from the moment she was born treating her like an actual legitimate royal Princess. 

Speak of the devil I heard the familiar sound of his motorbike scampered down the road to our house and park up In Front of his garage her attention was immediately taken away from the show and she made her way to the window to excitedly bounce in wait for her daddy and if course he climbed off his bike wheeled it into the garage and came in through the door kicking his boots onto the show rack and slipping his helmet off adding it to his shelf or helmets fixing his hair and then running his hand over his upper lip and the small amount of hair that graced there, he'd have more if he could but that's all he's ever been able to grow, and all I'd allow him to have 

"Eliza? Where's my little star princess?" He Cooes coming into the living room and she giggled so he happily took her in his arms putting her on his hip and letting her snuggle in his shirt giving her a million kisses "awwww there she is, don't you look lovely and beautiful today, daddy missed you so so very much" he cooes 

"Hello Thomas my loving husband" I slightly glared

"Love you honey" he smiled to me "how's my little girl today?"

"Loverly" she smiled

"Awwww your so cute" he told her trying to give her more kisses but she moved away “no? Aww what's wrong Eliza you don’t want daddy’s kisses?” he pouts 

"No daddy spikey" she says 

"Daddy spikey? Awww you won't kiss me because I'm spikey?" He pouts 

"Daddy too spikey"

"You don't like daddy's facial hair?" 

"No" she giggled

"You really don't like it?'

"No! I don't like it."

"You don't like it?"

"No, daddy to spikey I don't like it"

"Would you like daddy give you kisses of I shaved it?'

"I want. Daddy no spikey" she says 

"You want me to get rid of it? Not be spikey no more"

"No more spikey daddy. Get rid"

"Alright, I'll think about it" he told her before leaving her for her show and sitting with me "hi honey" he smiled giving my cheek a kiss 

"Oww. She has a point you are stabby" I complained

I sat in bed with my book kinda curious what was going on 

"You alright? Aren't you coming to bed?'

"Just a minute" he answered

"What are you doing in there?" I asked putting my book down and getting out of bed poking my head thought the bathroom door 

"Hey! Do I not get privacy in this house?" He complained as he stood I front of the mirror and sink 

"No you don't." I told him "whatcha doing?' I smiled 

"None ya business" he answered "this safe to use?' he asks with my razor in his hand 

"I mean… I shaved my legs with it on Tuesday?"

"I washed it. And I changed the blade"

"Should be fine, why? That weird really long hair on your chest back? If so you know shaving doesn't have you have to wax that shit thomas'

"No, I'm gonna shave my face"

"Why?"

"Because Eliza said I was stabby. I don't wanna hurt my little girl" he says as he began to shave his face 

"How long have we been a couple?"

"Uhhh nine years?"

"And how many times have I asked you to shave your face?"

"..... Sixteen thousand? Maybe more?"

"And how many times have you done it?"

".... Uhh, other then for work?"

"Yes"

"Once. For our wedding."

"So why now?"

"Eliza said I was spikey" 

"You spoil that girl"

"I just wanna make her happy" he says 

I sighed and returned to bed with my book until he emerged clean faced "my face feels cold" 

"It will do I imagine you got very use to it" I laughed as he came into bed so I smiled and gave him a kiss 'ummmm smooth" i smiled before giving him more kisses 

"Ummm. This all it took for you to get more affectionate?"

"Yes" I giggled returning to my book "have you never noticed I'm more affectionate when you shave?"

"... No. Mostly because I shave for work so I've usually been way for like two months? Kinda just assumed you missed me?" 

"I also missed you" 

I smiled as I made breakfast little Eliza in her chair with her porridge and banana as thomas headed down the stairs 

"Eliza? Good morning my little angel" he smiled cuddling her in her high chair 

"Daddy!' she smiled excitedly until he sat in his chair and she actuusaw him ".... Daddy look funny"

I giggled and brought his and my breakfast for the table sitting across from him 

"Daddy shaved"

"... Where… where it go?"

"I shaved just like you asked me too" 

"Oh"

"You like it?"

"Silly daddy." 

"What?"

"No I… I like spikey daddy"

"You liked spikey daddy? But you told me to get rid of it"

"Daddy should put spikey back"

"I can't put it back it's gone. I got rid of it. Like you asked me to" 

"Silly daddy" 

"You do look better with it" I smiled having my coffee

"... I give up. I can't win with you girls"
