rewatching the terror is great bc i now retroactively know who people are. like ohhh the guy dressing crozier at the start is jopson. i didn't imagine the doctor being scottish it was a different doctor altogether. collins is diving suit guy and the guy who wants to jump after the falling man. the elusive little is in fact the 'like lord nelson at trafalgar' man from the first dinner.

You Never Cared (Enough)

This. This is the moment, I think, where Porsche finally admits to himself he wants Kinn.

Because Porsche isn’t really arguing against Kinn’s point here.

Kinn does care about his people - we’ll see very clear examples of that later in the series (when he’s grieving for Big and Erica, when he saves Pol and Pete during the shootout, etc.), and Porsche has concrete proof that Kinn cares just as much about him -

But Porsche doesn’t want Kinn to see him as an employee - a responsibility. He doesn’t even want to be seen as a friend.

He wants Kinn to admit that being with Porsche meant something… different. That he didn’t just use Porsche, to get it out of his system, when he was an easy target.

Because it was different for Porsche.

As far as we know, the end of episode 4 was the first time Porsche had sex with a man, the first time he’d had sex after being drugged, and… the first time he’d had sex with someone he really liked. Someone he’d been starting to get to know, who irritated and intrigued him all at once, instead of just a one-time fling.

And he barely got any time to process all of that - his sexuality, his autonomy, his feelings - before Kinn shut down, put more distance between them than ever before, and became cruel -

So it’s only now, after getting time away to get back to who he was - in his own house, spending time with his brother and friends - that Porsche has finally worked out just why he’s so hurt by Kinn.

That, despite everything, he doesn't want to be just one of Kinn's people.

He wants Kinn to care more about him.

Ultraman Blazar's Salutations From Episodes 1-5 (ft. Bazanga, Leviera, and a sleeping Dorgo)

[Video description: Ultraman Blazar, a colossal grey humanoid alien with red and blue markings on his body, and blue markings on his face, performs his signature salutation in several different places and times. This salutation consists of raising his arms up to the sky in a circular motion, and bringing his knee up before stepping into a lunge and scooping his arms down and upward.

From episode 1, in a city at night, the camera watches from below, as Blazar performs his salutation and his markings flash red and blue. The shot cuts to a wider one, showing off the buildings and Blazar's opponent, Bazanga, a prawn-like Kaiju. After his salute, Blazar moves his hands into a guarded, fighting stance.

From Episode 2: Blazar stands against the bright blue day sky in a small fishing village, with much shorter buildings. He faces the camera directly as he does his salutation, and the camera zooms in on him as he does it and his markings flash red and blue once more.

From Episode 3: Blazar is framed in a head and shoulder shot and smothered in smoke as his colour time, a big round spot on his chest that is normally blue, flashes red. Once more he faces the camera as he does his salutation, before flying off, kicking up dirt in his takeoff.

From episode 4: The camera pans over a cityscape, with a highway at the front of the scene. Once more it is night time and Blazar faces off against a monster among many many buildings. The monster is Leviera, a sea-angel themed kaiju whose face is open to reveal flashing yellow lights as Blazar does his salutation from the side. Leviera is aggressively ready to go.

From episode 5: Blazar stands behind the sleeping kaiju, Dorgo, who looks mostly like a hill of dirt in this shot. He performs his salutation, and immediately begins to push the sleeping Kaiju back to its proper resting place. The shot switches to one of Blazar from behind, as he continues to push Dorgo back into place, among the green hills and mountains of the Japanese countryside. With a thump, Dorgo returns to his resting spot, and Blazar turns to face the camera as he jumps up into the air to fly away.

Revenant is soooo mid which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the actors and writer (this isn’t a flop like Jirisan, which I gave up on after 2–3 episodes, but it’s not really good). BUT. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m suffering from “poor little meow meow middle-aged man” deficiency and Professor Yeom Haesang suffers so much. I can’t believe I was like “Oh...okay” about his casting because I’m planting my palms against his windows, peering at him in his little cage and being fed because he’s had the worst life ever and it keeps getting worse. HAESANG *____*<3

#why are we not talking about him more on reddit/twitter/tumblr and why are there not enough gifs and pics of him breaking down #or looking slutty in his all black ensembles complete with a turtleneck #watch as this man's life continues to deteriorate! ep. 7 and 8 provided such rich sustenance for me #a simp for ajusshideul who are miserable #he's so small and sad and he can't catch a break #yeah okay hongsae is great too and he's a cutie but LOOK AT THIS 40-YEAR-OLD MAN! #technically i wouldn't even count that as MIDDLE age middle-aged but his actor is 46 so whatever #in all seriousness revenant exasperates me a little because you can see how it can be good #especially because there's a frame of reference to base that hypothesis on: signal. lol. #signal wasn't without its flaws but the characters and relationships actually had development and the main partnerships were intense #and the tension was high throughout #revenant is the same thing every episode pretty much #the first three episodes were pretty to really good and i loved the setup #and you have kim taeri hong kyung and oh jungsae and they're great actors #but the directing and writing aren't serving them well and you can see the drop in quality from the beginning to now tbh #there's only so much they can do if they're not being given enough from both #though the little bits that are good are the reason i'm sticking around to the end lol. that and haesang i'm going to be real #like haesang and sanyoung's relationship needed to be parallel soohyun and haeyoung's in a way in terms of how much #they grow to rely on each other and care for each other but we don't really get that

While Eda adopted a lot of King’s mannerisms pretty quickly while in his body, King is basically just acting like himself. I imagine this stems from their initial beliefs: Eda thinks that King’s life as it is is super easy, but King thinks that if Luz acted the way he thinks she should, things would be much easier for her. Luz has the same perspective on how Eda runs her business, so she’s likely going to handle her bodyswap adventure in the same way that King does.

I’m... not sure where to start here, so I think I just won’t. 

I guess all these teens are buddies, including the red outfit girl and the new person we haven’t seen before who’re outside? Some of them were in the group that Amity invited to the conjuring in Episode 6, but a couple are new. (That said, I’m pretty sure most of these kids, if not all, were there somewhere in the background during Episode 3 - I remember seeing them.) 

Who’s “L” and “G”? The only name we have for any of these guys so far is Boscha, but I assume this means that someone’s name here starts with an L and someone else’s starts with a G.

With all of their interactions, I’m getting this feeling of “Fine, you can have your boy toy” from George in regards to Bryan. I don’t know what it is specifically, but there’s this feeling that he’s only treating Bryan amicably because his daughter likes him. If it wasn’t for Finola, then George would probably be a lot more aloof.
