"Baby."

Sukuna knows you heard him. Still, you continued walking as if you didn't, going ahead of him about ten paces ahead, your posture and the overall attitude in your gait speaking volumes of your current mood. He easily kept up with you, placing an arm over your shoulder, but much to his surprise, you shrugged it off you and walked the remaining expanse of sidewalk towards your shared apartment. He just watched in annoyance as you walked into the lobby and got into the elevator before him.

"Trouble with your princess?" this nosy grandma, who lived at one of the units at the first floor, asked.

Sukuna just smiled awkwardly, bowing slightly as he passed her by on his way to the elevator. When he finally got into your unit, he found your coat lying on the hallway, picking it up only to see your jeans a few steps ahead then your shirt. He finally found you in the kitchen already wrapped in a robe which you didn't even bother tying up, agitatedly pouring yourself a glass of wine, the cerise liquid sloshing around the glass violently.

You were behaving rather out of character, making a mess out of your clothes when he knew just how much you hated it when he leaves his things scattered about. On top of that, you left the cutlery drawer open with the corkscrew you used on top of the counter, droplets of red wine littering the granite top. You just passed him by without saying anything, refusing to look at him on your way to your bedroom.

I see how it is, he thought, taking long strides to the direction you went. He eyed you sternly, having had enough of your attitude. "Y/N, what's going on?" he demanded.

You flinched visibly at the way he addressed you. He doesn't call you by your name unless he was dead serious about something. "It's nothing. Don't mind me."

"Woman, don't tell me it's nothing when –"

Before he could finish, you walked into the adjoining bathroom, turning on the tap to the tub to tune him out. You were evidently being passive-aggressive now, and he detested it when you did that.

"Just go back to your party. I'm sure everyone's wondering where you've gone," you told him, picking up your glass from the dresser top. "Especially Miss Hanako." You shot him a sardonic smile before taking a swig out of your wine, the way you said the woman’s name dripping with vitriol.

And then it hit him. You've been dishing out barb since you told him you wanted to leave the company party he was partly hosting for his department. You did so when the secretary to the president arrived and started chatting him up. He was now thinking your behavior thereafter had something to do with it. You were fine before that so it could only mean one thing.

He didn't know whether to laugh or what at the thought of it. When he decided to pursue you, he didn't have qualms about it even if you were a good six years younger than him. He knew how problematic it could get having an immature partner, but that's where you were different. You held yourself with such confidence, grace and equilibrium way beyond your age, you shared the same pragmatic mindset he had and you didn't seem to have a proclivity for drama like others your age. You hardly ever fought because of petty things and he loved that about you.

But then, you're still young and he didn't hold it against you that you're suddenly acting like a brat. If anything, he was happy about it because you were never ever jealous. It sometimes made him doubt how you felt about him when you yourself would be pointing at other chicks for him to look at while saying things like, "Baby, look at her ass. Damn, she's sexy." And now that the green-eyed monster is rearing its head to the surface, he couldn't say he didn't like it.

"What about her?" he asked cautiously, making you jump the hoops.

You sneered, the action very intimidating despite your angelic features. “Oh, I don’t know, Sukuna. You tell me. You seemed to be enjoying her company. Don’t stop at my expense.”

He leveled his expressions to you. “Well, she is something, isn’t she? Smart, too.”

“Yeah, you deserve each other,” you hissed, the anger flaring up in your eyes making him stir alive.

“But she’s married.”

“All the better!” Seeing through what he was doing, you turned towards the bathroom and slammed the door shut. He didn't hear you lock it so he followed suit.

"If you're jealous, just say so already!" he told you. He wanted to hear it out of your mouth.

"Why would I be jealous? She looks like a bad rip-off of 80s Brooke Shields!" you spat, confirming his thoughts. You climbed into the bathtub sulkily, eyes on the bubbly water.

Sukuna knew he shouldn't even be thrilled about the prospect of it. If you were jealous then that means you were kinda doubting him in terms of his loyalty to you, and he should not like that, but at the same time, you were also being possessive which you rarely do. He couldn't help it.

Loosening his tie, he began shedding his clothes off, stripping naked before you, revealing the tattooed expanse of his skin and his impressive musculature as he tossed one garment after the other.

"What are you doing?" you asked as he approached, the way you mumbled the words causing him to just sigh, feeing defeated at how endearing you looked hugging your knees to yourself. "I thought I told you to go back to your party."

He didn't say anything as he went into the tub, sitting opposite you, but it wasn't long before he was pulling you towards him, positioning you between his legs so your back was pressed against his hard chest. He then began planting hungry kisses on your neck, down to your shoulders, his large hands wandering all over your body, one already having found itself on your breasts while the other coaxed your head to turn towards him so he can kiss you, his movements urgent yet languid and gentle.

"I'm all yours," he breathed against your lips, grinning. "You know that, right?"

"I know." You shrugged, facing forward again. “I don’t like the way that witch was touching you though. And you were all smiles about it, too.” You smacked him on the thigh, eliciting that deep laughter you adored no matter how mad you were at him. “Don’t laugh! It’s not funny.”

“It kinda is.”

“If you even think for a second that anyone can have you, Ryomen Sukuna, you’re wrong.” You looked him in the eyes, your dark orbs boring into him while your hand touched the side of his face, your crimson-painted nails looking like claws against his cheek. “You’re mine.”

He wrapped his arm around you, kissing you on the temple before placing his chin on your shoulder. "Jealousy is ugly, baby," he whispered in your ear, "but I gotta say, you wear it so well."

Okay. Before I get another "untimely (and unsolicited, if I'm allowed to say) lecture" about the etymology of the word "Ryōmen (両面/りょう)" meaning "two-faced/two-sided" and not a surname or given name , let me say it now, I KNOW, but thanks anyway. Sukuna and I are neighbors, just 4 hours by train. Geez. However, I am using his whole name in literature form, so if I do switch it up and use it as a surname for him (cause heaven forbid, the Kamigami rain hell on me) it's all for fun and literary creativity. No need to get too pressed over it.

It's established. I love bathtub scenes although I detest the idea of stewing in my own filth. But yeah, look forward to more bathtub drabbles.

Reviewing Grey's Anatomy Episodes but this time its Season 17

(To those people on my page who don't watch Grey's Anatomy but are being subjected to this I'm so sorry but I really just like to vent about this show.)

Its season 17 now Yay.

They're dealing with the covid 19 pandemic and I'm sure the writers probably did lots of research to make sure that they had the most accurate representation of the situation in the hospitals and otherwise.

First we're going to start with the love triangle that is Teddy, Tom and Owen.

Owen

Now this is in no way excusing what he's done in the past for the longest while I've loathed Owen Hunt but..... now I feel sorry for him. He saw he had a problem he went to therapy to get himself right, he was actually a good partner for once and communicated in his relationship, he took his time and didn't jump into marriage spontaneously and then Teddy cheated on him over but dial to be heard by everyone in the operating theater with Owen on their wedding day. (I don't want to sound bad but this might also be karma coming to but him in the ass.) I felt so much 2nd hand embarrassment for him and the pain he had in his face the whole time he pretended not to know about her cheating was just oof. I loved though the end where he drove away for the mean time I really do agree with him taking some time and space before he makes a decision. Most of the times he made a lot of sudden decisions that later came back to bite him.

Teddy

Oh Teddy, she used to be one of my favorite characters from a little after she came to the time she left but now they just carried her character so far down hill that it's hard to keep the same energy I had before, now. Everyone at Grey Sloan is on Owen's side and giving her the cold shoulder and she really wants everyone to mind their own business (I honestly agree though, you're in the middle of a pandemic mind your business and do your job now isn't the time to be shunning coworkers because they cheated.) However when she did explain her side I kinda understood it a bit better. It's still an awful thing to do but I know plenty of people who sabotage their own happiness because they aren't used to it. Hell I do it myself sometimes. But then I was also pissed when she just pretended she did nothing wrong at first. First thing first she acted kinda offended when Owen explained why he hadn't called to cancel the wedding to her. Was it kinda sus? The answer is yes but you literally cheated on him that same day, you needed the extra time sis. Not to mention the several time he hinted to her that he knew and gave her the chance to confess yet she lied through her teeth whenever he hinted at it and flat out lied again when he asked if she had anything to confess. I get the whole sabotage route but God was I happy when Owen got in his truck, drove off and left her.

Tom

I was honestly rooting for Tom in the beginning, despite him being a douche I knew deep down he had a heart somewhere, but I actually started to feel less sorry for him last season when he continued to sleep with Teddy despite knowing her situation which he pointed out to her several times and she still ignored it. I know he loves her but let's be honest, she's going to pick Owen as long as he decides to actually take her back and Tom will be left alone and heart broken with his $100000 worth of boxes in booties and a golf club to measure 6 ft distance between him and everyone else. Honestly I kinda saw a panic attack coming, if they're treating Teddy bad then they're probably treating him even more like crap based on the fact that no one besides Teddy, Catherine and maybe Amelia liked him to begin with. This may also be an unpopular opinion but I actually agree with Catherine for making him resign of chief of all chiefs his head hasn't and probably won't be in the game for a while. At least he still gets to be head of neuro. He bought a whole $100000 dollars in booties alone by mistake during an already tough pandemic between that and everything else going on around him I'm not surprised he broke. What did surprise me was that no one even went near him to help even after the attack was finished. Dislike him or not at least ask him how he's doing geeze.

Jo and Jackson (Never thought I'd have to put the two of them together in a title.)

Truly the biggest shock of the night besides the trailer for next week which I will freak out about later.

So Jo has decided that in order for her to feel herself again she has to do the devils tango with someone and because they're in a pandemic and she trusts him she chose Jackson. The night of the appointment to do the deed Jo ends up crying in his mouth. The way she treated him afterwards at first was a little uncalled for in my opinion, I mean she was the one who asked for the favor. But later they talked and it was all cool again. Jo didn't really have that big of a plot this episode so not too much to talk about.

Jackson

Agreed way to quickly to doing the devils tango with Jo if you ask me. Seems a little sus. I really hope they aren't rushing him and Jo into anything give the girl some room to breath and also give Jackson a proper plot he seems to be a plot filler for everyone right now like they have no real purpose for him on the show at the moment. I'm beginning to really think that he was the one who was supposed to die last season. I really do love his and Richard's relationship. Jackson never really had a good father and Webber seems to be filling that spot quite nicely. Him pushing Webber to fight to get better and convince him that his career can be saved was heartwarming. And can we take a moment to talk about Harriet finally appearing from the world of Narnia to bless us with her presence? And boy was she a blessing. That baby that plays Harriet was awesome from her repeating Vic saying she can't be a step mom all to her facial expressions. I hope to see baby Harriet again very soon. But speaking of Vic, did she not know that Jackson was a father? How the hell did she expect to never run into her at some point? Then there's the whole question of what did she even expect of the relationship with Jackson if she never intended to even try to accept being around his daughter? also if she really want to be Robbie Rotten from Lazy town and avoid being around kids, maybe she should call or text first instead of showing up in just a fluffy jacket and nothing else.

Deluca

Glad to see he finally got the help he needed and is back put tho work. I felt so upset last season when everyone just treated him like crap without trying to help him, but they made up for it a little by trying to help him with the intervention. He was also right about the sex trafficking case and I was so glad to see that he was able to be there as her doctor. Plus he's now also finally in dark blue scrubs it has felt like forever before he got those but I digress. He is now on his way once again to be a kick ass surgeon with the awesome skills hes already showcasing. I just hope he continues to look after himself. Deluca shine like the star you are babe.

Maggie

Has finally found a man who understands her, he is so nice and kind and caring the whole episode I was mentally yelling go get it hun to the screen. She deserves someone who can take her seriously and understand her awkwardness as well as her tendencies finally she has stepped out of the role of cheerleader and support character and is branching out to something else and I'm here for it. And her yelling at Catherine, to share her piece of mind. I was so proud. Go get it sis.

Richard

Richard Webber is back in the building, finally the king has returned to himself and already solving problems in day one. At the beginning when he publicly called Catherine a pain in the ass I was so stoked I finally thought that he was done being pushed around by her but then he took her back in the end it also kinda felt like she bought him in order to get him back with the hiring him as the new chief of chiefs but I wish them the best of luck, Webber deserves to be happy. I was also happy to see him and Bailey interacting like friends again. For a while it was awkward between them but now it's like the balance has been restored. Side note, him laughing at Teddy and Owen made me laugh so loudly especially when he asked Teddy if her name was still Altman despite the fact he clearly knew about the phonecall drama, not gonna lie I'd do the same.

Catherine

Not much there, just her being angry at the pandemic and loss of money, lack of power to save lives as well as trying to win Webber back which she successfully did after firing Koracick and giving Richard his job and finally giving him a heartfelt apology without being petty.

Bailey

It might just be me but so far despite the fact that it's only been 2 episodes. Bailey seems somewhat better this season. Her guilt over Deluca was definitely warranted but at least she tried to make up for it (and just like Harriet her OCD has decided to rejoin us for a visit from Narnia.) For the past few seasons she's been a slight pain but now she seems more like herself.

Her and Ben are adorable as usual, coming every 12 hours to clap for the doctors just to see her then the cute hand signals they made for each other, between Ben, Link and recently added to the group of awesome partners Winston, I'm beginning to wonder where I can find me one of these super thoughtful understanding handsome men. The two guys that knocked her over as well spraining her ankle really should have to pay or something or at least apologize, they literally just knocked a doctor off her feet and made her wheel chair bound, the chief ro be exact. Her and Webber are on talking terms and well again but she really needs to know how to express concern better. She once told Ben that when she's scared she yells but a lot of things would have gone a lot more smoothly if she'd just reminded him he was a high risk for covid and state her concern for him to begin with instead of barking out orders.

I'm also wondering if shes going to be able to handle the whole Covid situation so well for the whole time, with all the chaos and disorganization with the whole ordeal not to mention the whole fit she had with the germs in the episode. I think it'll be a good storyline now that Grey's seems to be bringing mental awareness back up.

Link and Amelia

They have now officially reached my list along with Ben and Bailey and a few others that are no longer on the show that have reached the stage of killing the couple goals on this show.

Despite the fact that they're not only raising their own baby but also Bailey, Ellis and Zola yet their relationship is still solid. I'm so proud of my baby Amelia she has come a long way from the woman who didn't even want kids to begin with.

I loved the fact that he wasn't upset over her forgetting his birthday and acted like nothing was wrong, just so she wouldn't feel bad about forgetting. I would have been livid set a reminder on your phone babes. Either way she definitely made up for it later with the whole redoing his birthday thing. Also welcome to the world Scout. Looking forward to seeing them more often.

Levi

How did it all turn so bad, Nico has turned into such a jerk at this point I'm not even sure I'd be to upset if he left if it wasn't for the fact that I ship the person he was before and Levi so much I'm still hoping that they'll go back to how they were before Nico became a lying hypocrite. At the end I was practically begging Levi to push him away, Nico doesn't deserve it not after the way he treated him and he hasn't even shown a hint of remorse to this day.

Meredith

The biggest shock of the whole episode. I honestly knew something was going to happen to her from the time she fell asleep and started the dream on the beach. Dreaming of beaches have never been a good sign on Grey's I just thought she was going to collapse from stress because she really had been pushing herself all episode. The thing with Meredith is that she cares so much for her patients and does anything she can to save them, but based on the preview of the next episode and the tests they showed it doesn't seem to be test. And let's just talk about that huge bombshell they dropped by bringing back Derek I never thought I'd see Patrick Dempsey on the show again. By the end of the episode I was already literally shaking in anticipation for the next episode. I know they can't kill Meredith, without her there literally is no Grey's Anatomy. That being said I really hope they don't give her cancer, (I know Patrick is involved with helping a charity for cancer.) And I also really hope she isn't getting alzheimers I just hope it's nothing serious in general. She's been through enough man. I just want this to be a really touching moment where I get to see Merder have some touching moments and it doesn't end up to be Izzie and Denny all over again. I don't think anyone is ready to handle that. I read in a spoiler that there's supposed to be some more visitors arriving on the beach and I'm stoked for it so I really hope it's a real spoiler I'm tired of rewatching the newer seasons to experience some of the old joy.

Imma need them to give that intern Perez an official recurring contract for the show because he is currently one of the best things to come on that show in years. He's a breath of fresh air.

FAME AND MISFORTUNE THOUGHTS

Welp, it's time to dive into a bit of controversy

This episode while I can't say it's the most controversial episode I still notice that there's a decent amount of uproar about it. And it's pretty easy to see why that is. It's an episode that lampoons the fanbase or at the very least a certain part of the fanbase. Depending who you are you could either find it entertaining and be able to laugh at ourselves in regards to just how meta this episode gets or you're offended personally and think the writers and hasbro just gave you the middle finger with this episode.

Personally, I'm in the former in that I enjoyed this episode though I do understand why some might not like some things in the episode. Cause some of the parts of the episode may have some unintentional implications that may make it seem they have a problem with the more older fans. So I'll get this out of the way first, the staff and Hasbro love us. The fact they made episodes like Slice of Life alone should be proof of that. This episode is essentially just a little bit of airing of grievances for certain parts of the fanbase that either have had less then unkind words for the writers or a somewhat unpopular opinion and/or strong on one side of a particularly fandom splitting issue.

Though I think to some degree every one of us fans have said something or at least withhold an opinion that probably would count as one of the petty complaints the fans in this episode say. I'm pretty sure I've probably said something that would probably come out as petty to others. I'm not going to say that everything I've said about this show whether it was a positive or negative opinion on an episode was entirely on a strong basis. Cause that'd be arrogant of me, but there are those who ARE kinda that arrogant about their opinions, and adding a few more groups of the fanbase that are similarly annoying, it's exactly what the episode intends to lampoon.

Changing subject a little, this episode seemed to be made by M.A. Larson. Albeit there's a little bit of a asterisk on that. Considering while yes the episode is credited solely to M.A. Larson. It sounds like the episode was an old script of Larson's that was written anytime after Season 4 but probably before Season 6. And over time it's been left collecting dust until the staff decided to bring it over to Season 7. Making some changes to it so it reflects the season. So it's a little confusing since we don't know exactly how much of Larson's script was kept and what was changed. So it could very well be true that the original version of this episode was written before Amending Fences. And if so that still kinda counts Amending Fences as M.A. Larson's final episode for the show. But nonetheless it got me hyped to know M.A. Larson was even a little bit behind this episode for certain. And at least in my eyes didn't disappoint.

But time to actually talk about the episode proper. Now the episode begins with two fillies fighting. I'll get a little more about them later towards the end. But it's very much related to when I mentioned there may be some unintentional implications about the message of this episode.

It's neat seeing the journal from Season 4 again. Season 4 still stands as my favorite season of the show and aside from one certain episode, I appreciate any callbacks to such.

Starlight has the ability to make perfect (And more clean for that matter) copies of books. But of course we also get the mention that the original use for it was to make copies of a manifesto that we can imagine was used for that village. So… some awkward dark stuff.

Annnnnd that hopscotch scene mentioned that certain episode I mentioned in the Season 4 thing… Admitedly, I was like "Noooo anything but that episode". But eh it's just another opportunity for me to laugh at myself regarding the subject of this episode heh heh.

The scene with the two ponies who dislike Rarity and later the anti-rarity fans (Even with signs and such) represent fans who like the show and even most of the main cast. But absolutely despise one of the 6 that they wish that they'd write them out of the show. I'm pretty sure there's a group of people in the fanbase that are like that for each of the Mane 6. And I've seen people who are like that to a particular character. Though an interesting tidbit about this scene is that apparently they mention something that happened in a comic. Which means this is the first time something from the comics were explicitly mentioned. Does that suddenly mean the comics are canon? Welllllll that's a bit of a muddied subject there. As certainly now we must see that particular issue (I believe it was mentioned to be issues #30 and #31) to be canon but then you have comics like the one where Sombra is reformed but in the show he's pretty much dead as a doornail. A reformed Sombra would be kinda an important thing to mention canonically, even if the reformation in said comic is actually seen as possibly the worst villain redemption in the franchise (And given how much this show has had some controversy about reformed villains that's saying a lot)

Pinkie's part is kinda a direct contrast to Rarity in it's a positive reception from the fans. But kinda misconstrued. It's kinda like Pinkie's a famous comedian, and she's been invited to a party but not to perform. Yet people going to said party expect the comedian to be doing funny stuff and wisecracks the whole time. So they watch them attentively and laugh at things they say even if it's not a joke because they think the person's there for entertainment. It could also be seen as what some people say about sitcoms of having the laughter at lines that aren't actually funny.

Rainbow's is pretty much the polar opposite of Rarity's where they adore a character where they're only interested in that character's episodes and/or those fans who'd guilt trip them saying "You wouldn't want to disappoint your fans would you?". Considering Parental Glidance, we know Rainbow's had enough blind devotion in her life and at least family would be more understanding and loving then fans.

And oh, oh, oh, ohhhhhhh that Fluttershy scene. I could swear I've seen the complaints about Fluttershy word. for. word. Saying all her lessons are the same, thinking they'd learn more then Fluttershy is, and even when Fluttershy does stand up for herself she's no longer the Fluttershy they like. The kind of hypocrisy that makes fans completely miss the point about Fluttershy's character. It takes more then one lesson to get over some of the anxieties and shyness Fluttershy had early on. And it's easy to see a clear difference between the Fluttershy of recent seasons compared to how she was earlier in the show. I'm pretty sure all fans of Fluttershy got this scene to heart for many reasons.

Meanwhile back at Rar- OH GEEZ the insanity of the face she had xD Been a little while since we've had a real crazy pony face.

The part where the press pony asks Twilight questions can be kinda considered Twilight's part in all of this and kinda represents on how real life celebrities get criticized when it seems unbelievable when other celebrities are friends with them because either they have opposite opinions on some issue (Usually politics, religion, or otherwise) or personality difference. And even when you post things that have actually happened some people might decry some things as if tt was a work of fiction. You can be friends with someone who disagrees with you on something, when both you and your friends are well-known enough that their thoughts on things are public knowledge and they happen to be the opposite of another it becomes difficult to understand for some people why they're friends when the public paparazzi don't put into account that there's more to a friendship then that.

And after a few more meta statements from the crowd including "Are AJ and Pinkie related or not" and "Twilight was better before she got wings" (Oh boy was that one said) we get the song of the episode. We're Not Flawless certainly isn't going to win any best song of the show awards but it certainly has a strong message and decently catchy. Each of the Mane 6 have their flaws and those same flaws aren't just what keeps them interesting it's what makes their friendship and interactions interesting too. They all have moments where we hoped they'd do something different or made a bad decision and it's fine to show how some feel by criticizing when an episode has something like that happen but when it comes to having it break the show for show or thinking it doesn't make any sense for the characters to be friends you start sounding less like a fan especially if you start forgetting that for every one of those there is also a good decision, awesome moment, or genuinely great interaction between the characters. Also the line "We're a work in progress" can also be something for how even after the characters have reached their new goals why they have more episodes for the Mane 6 because there's absolutely no way even after so many episodes this show has had we have reached all the potential stories we could share between a combination of the 6. Even with goals reached that just adds more things to potentially do. Eventually the show will end and probably even then there will be so many potential stories that the show wouldn't be able to get to. Even now the ponies are a work in progress that are constantly learning things and that's why the show is still generally focused on the Mane 6 even if as of recent there has been focus on some new characters like Starlight. Bringing in new characters also add some new situations to do with the Mane 6, but it was the Mane 6 that brought us into the show. And this show is going to end with them too.

Buuuuut even after the song it doesn't please the crowd. And that's the way with fanbases. It was an unappeasable part of the fanbase. Heck you could even say whatever controversy and drama comes out of this episode was predicted by the episode itself because the crowd might be saying the exact things that people who disliked this episode are saying. Basically proving the episode's point. (One thing I kind of wish would of happened though is having one fan who absolutely adores one of the Mane 6 to say "But I think you're flawless, (*insert whichever character they adore*)" as an alternate way of not getting the song's point)

And the ending where the two fillies from the start come back is what I mentioned about what some people might take the wrong way as the staff and Hasbro saying they prefer the children fans over the adult fans. Which I can kinda understand as an unintentional message. But there were kids amongst the annoying fans, and while maybe it would of been a little more fair to maybe have a few adult fans with the kids also there to say they were genuinely touched by the book. I don't think they're trashing all adult fans. As I said before, they love us, there is absolutely no doubt about that. One episode like this isn't going to erase all the support and pleasant moments between fans and members of the staff. Just sometimes there were interactions that WEREN"T so pleasant. And this episode is a bit of an airing of grievances of moments like that. It's an episode that's full of truth, and depending how you react to some fandom truths especially negative ones will be the main thing that decides if you can find a way to like the episode.

I for one know the fandom isn't perfect and many of the things in the episode I remember being said in the episode. Sometimes even word for word. And full knowledge that I've probably said something that could be seen as petty as some of the complaints in this episode. But I can look myself in the mirror and laugh at myself. This is an entertaining episode that lampoons certain parts of the fandom, absolutely the most meta episode of the show. And yet another good episode of Season 7. It's going to offend some and there's an understandable reason why. But there's certainly one thing no one can say about this episode: It lied.

ummm to fit with the “therapy” theme of this the other night i helped a friend when she needed to vent about some crappy home things.

jason’s therapy / what’s the worst advice you’ve ever been given?

i resent this question being with this song!!! i think mendel’s “feel alright” advice (while flawed) at its core is actually kind of pure and good! of course the way he gives it is bad (ignore your problems!)

but worst advice i’ve ever been given was i asked a friend towards the beginning of my last relationship if i should continue it and she said i should, and it ended much later and i was very unhappy throughout most of it. so that was pretty shitty. (i now have a very wonderful girlfriend who is currently having me answer all of these questions :-))

a marriage proposal / how would you want to be proposed to?

actually something very similar to how mendel does it! something private and lowkey, and just having someone word vomit their love for me sounds very cute and endearing.

my personality is very much the same, but i’m obviously more in public. i don’t swear as much. and in private i talk to myself and sing loudly all the time which doesn’t make much sense to do in public

constantly. i’m in high school so my options are grossly limited. i’m super excited to go to college and begin my teaching career. i just really want to help people!!

i actually quite like labels ? i like legitimizing my identity by finding out that other people feel the same way, and therefore have worked to put a name to it.

RANT RANT RANT.Call me a hater or whatever you want, I’m sick of this bullshit.

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of drama around Jin with Seo Taiji’s remake of “Come Back Home.”

I’m a Jin fan, and I love him just as much as everyone else who stans him. He’s my drive to almost everything and he’s the reason why I’m trying to be a better person for myself and for others around me. I’ve learned so much from him and he will always be my number one, even if I love all the other members, he’s special to me.

Yes, I am annoyed that he doesn’t get enough lines or screen time, and yes I am annoyed he wasn’t in the banner for CJENMUSIC’s banner, they’re being rude and disrespectful to BTS and Jin for leaving him out, and thanks to many ARMY, they changed it.

What I’m super annoyed at this point is how people started fanwars based on their own assumptions and calling Jin fans “antis” because they don’t “stand up” for him, and also spreading hate towards the company.

To start off, I’d like to say “Come Back Home” is a REMAKE of Seo Taiji’s original song, it’s NOT ABOUT BTS, IT IS NOT BTS’S SONG, IT’S SEO TAIJI, and to disrespect the legendary Seo Taiji by saying he’s “nugu” because people will only think of the remake as a BTS song, then you seriously need to do your research. Seo Taiji is HIGHLY RESPECTED IN SOUTH KOREA. Don’t assume BTS is the only group in the world that everyone cares about.

okay, let’s move on...let’s continue with BigHit.

Many ppl starts calling them “BigShit” because of the way they “mistreat” Jin. I get it, he doesn’t get enough lines in their albums, I’m upset as well.

First off, BigHit started off as a very small company, they had nothing, for a company that starts off with nothing and still treats their artists like human beings is rare, do you think they would let Jin or other BTS members upload videos about them complaining about the company? no! if this was SM or YG, they’ll have to either leave the company to do so, or get into serious trouble from the CEO.

As for Jin’s voice. Jin said so himself that it’s unavoidable if his voice doesn’t suit the “color” of their songs. I agree and disagree to this, but it doesn’t mean BigHit has brainwashed him to think his voice isn’t for BTS and only suits ballads. If they don’t his voice only suits ballads, why did they even debut him with a HIP HOP GROUP??? Think about it. If Jin’s voice doesn’t suit BTS, why was he in BTS in the first place? why did they debut him as one of BTS? for visual? is BigHit that petty? is Bang PD that much of an idiot to put someone in a Hip Hop group just for looks? They’re saying his voice suits ballad because it’s soft and full of emotions, they’re not telling him that to put him down. BTS isn’t a group that sings about heartbreaks and love between lovers. Their main genre of music isn’t ballad, they don’t DO ballad. They can if they want to but that’s not who BTS is.

Secondly, when the producers reject his songs/melody etc.

If a melody or lyrics does not fit a song they’re producing, it doesn’t fit. There’s no use sugar coating it. Tae had his lyrics and melodies rejected just as much as Jin has. They’re artists who wants to produce quality music, The line distribution isn’t decided just by Bang PD and their producers, Namjoon and Yoongi are also part of the producing process. The other producers don’t half ass their job, if they do BTS wouldn’t be where they are today. Yes JK gets too many lines, but his voice is known to be very versatile and it’s just the right sound that suits BTS, I’m not saying Jimin, Jin and Tae’s voices don’t suit BTS, I’m saying JK’s voice is “known’ to be the “sound” of BTS, he’s the main vocalist. it’s not something you can just “create” just so people don’t get emotionally hurt in the process, it’s business, this is the real world, wake up.

Third. The case with Jin getting injured and BigHit “not giving a shit” about him. Have you stopped to think about the possibilities as to WHY they didn’t? BigHit has posted a statement in the past when Jin was injured during ISAC. They’re not neglecting him, and knowing Jin, he probably didn’t want to make it a big deal either. The case with Namjoon’s toe was because it happened the day before their last tour dates, wouldn’t people think “Geez, why isn’t he dancing like the others? what’s wrong with him?” it would make sense for the company to inform the fans that he wasn’t allowed to dance BECAUSE OF DOCTOR’S ORDERS, you think Namjoon would want the whole world to know he stubbed his toe that his nails were “lifted”? hell no!. Jin at Kcon was AFTER the performance, he probably didn’t want to make such a big deal about it and hope it would go away if he rest.

If BigHit is the spawn of the devil, why would they bother to let the boys rest? they might as well drive them like slaves like the other companies do. BTS CHOSE to work hard, they CHOSE to practice, they’re grown men and they have a say in things.

Another thing I would like to point out and it has been driving me nuts...Jin did not cry because Japanese ARMYs clapped for him after Awake during that ONE tour, no, they’ve been clapping for him since DAY 1 whenever he finish singing Awake, this wasn’t a one time thing, don’t blow things out of proportion. I was at 7 out of 13 of their Wings tour in Japan, don’t tell me what I didn’t see.

Jin also got to sing an OST with Tae for “Even if I die, it’s you” If BigHit really treats him like shit, they would easily give that part to JK.

As for Jin not getting any lines for Special stages, I’m also salty and disappointed that he didn’t get any.... but also he’s not the only one. The maknae line was chosen more of the time because their voices suits it more, can you imagine Jin singing a rock or rap song? (Don’t lie, we’ve all heard him rap)

Another thing people have been pointing out is from Bon Voyage episode 2. Jin mentioned he makes himself act goofy and silly to see other happy makes him happy. Don’t misinterpret his words. There are many ways to approach this. From my point of view, I see Jin had taught himself how to be happy by making others happy, he’s not forcing himself to do things he doesn’t like, he said so himself he likes to goof around as well, he felt free.

Lastly, calling someone “fat” isn’t emotional abuse. If you don’t understand asian culture and have only understood it from watching your oppa through a tv screen, then you need to do your research on culture. It’s very common in my country and in Korea to say “oh, did you gain weight?” or “oh, you got fat.” as a sort of greeting. I get called fat ALL THE TIME whenever I visit home, and I weigh 46kg. If Bang PD really didn’t care about Jin, would he pay so much attention to their growth? Bang PD mentioned how Jin’s down to earth personality doesn’t change, he watch these boys grow as their own sons, especially in Asia where showing “love” isn’t as open as what your culture would be like. (my parents still feel awkward saying “I love you”)

There’s so much more I want to say and my thoughts are all over the place, but I’m going to stop here before my blood boils. You can think whatever you want, you can send me hate calling me a fake fan or whatever, I’m simply stating my opinions just like you. I’m just sick and tired of teenagers with thousands of followers on twitter thinking they know shit when obviously they don’t even do basic research. It’s people like you who spreads hate thinking you’re spreading awareness that’s toxic to the fandom. How do you think Jin feels that he’s sandwich in between the company and you people? he’s stressed enough.

Basically, what I want to say is, don’t blindly believe what others say about BTS and BigHit, please judge them through what you know of them and not what people tell you after bending the truth. I’m not saying BigHit is the perfect company, a friend once told me “All bosses are evil, it’s just how they express it.

Jin wants to sing, he wants to shine, we all want him to shine and he shined like the brightest start when he sand his solo “Awake”, but don’t throw shit at the others, without the other members or BigHit, there won’t even be a BTS. Please know when to be grateful and when to speak up.

I love BTS, I love Jin, Namjoon, Yoonji, Hobi, Jimin, Tae and JK, BTS isn’t BTS without all 7 of them. I will continue to support them despite what you think of me. I’m an ARMY and you can’t take that away from me no matter what. Don’t even bother to justify yourself and proof me wrong or some shit through replies and reblogs, because.....

I don’t give shit and I don’t give a fuck.

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

my favorite scene so far is probably...well okay its not really a scene so much as a moment in a scene. but when soren is walking around with valentin and noticing that valentin already has like 1 billion friends. i can just severely relate to soren in that moment. it has some fantastic facial expression and i just love the panel framing too. theres kind of this sense of isolation whenever you see valentin interact. and even though soren is there, you get this sense he is the one out of place. and i just really think the visual aspects alone express that kind of loner thing he has going on

i'm really glad you took note of that scene! i wanted to capture their different personalities - they are friends and get closer as the comic progresses, but soren is quite shy and valentin is a classic extrovert! i think valentin doesn't intend to single out people sometimes but he can give off that vibe

actually honestly i really love valentin and soren's interactions. theyre very different people, and usually when you have an extrovert and an introvert they kind of butt heads. but nah, in this case valentin is like "hey buddy lets get bubble tea" and to me thats just super refreshing to see.

another scene i really like was the fencing scene. it played out exactly how i imagined it would: elena got her arrogant butt beaten by someone with infinite more years experience. but what i like more is that she doesnt expect this. instead to retreats further into her belief that she just wasnt on her a-game. cause i feel this is a moment that is true to how a real person would act.

and i also like how it preps for future drama

that's great!! yeah i wanted valentin to be a good hearted person inside, even if he gives off an absentmindedly popular vibe! but of course there will be fights between the characters>:)

mhm! for me the fencing scene got quite tedious actually, as i wanted to have the action play out in maybe a few weeks, rather than dragging on for over a month. but i can only make a page per week with school and all, so i'm glad you enjoyed that!

all the characters are good people despite their flaws- elena's is arrogance obviously. we'll see how her character growth plays out in the future!

yeah theres no doubt in my mind theyre good people. but i love all their flaws because theyre poignant and feel super realistic. not to mention i really enjoy a lot of the elements that stress them out cause to a degree it helps to make them feel their age.

mhm, in future chapters - especially chapter 4, which is coming up soon, there will be more dramatic/challenging obstacles in the plot that will test their innocence as kids

i wanted to emphasize the coming of age aspect in the story because some challenges force you to grow up

Rebel - I kind of liked that scene with Valentin having all the friends, but I think what I liked more was kind of the follow-up, when Kasen sees Soren with Valentin and thinks, geez, that guy's already got a friend. Kind of a perspective shift.

i live in Shanghai, China, and air pollution has been a pretty big issue here! it has gotten better over the past few years but it's still very polluted. air pollution is also quite bad in areas like mongolia and india and other parts of asia

QUESTION 2. The comic’s setting is one where air pollution can be rampant enough to cause a fatal sickness called contamina. Given Valentin’s blood-filled coughing, do you believe he has contracted contamina? Why do you believe he is so intent on hiding his symptoms, especially from Elena? If Valentin does have contamina, do you believe he’d come to accept it or continue to live in denial? Whether he has contamina or not, how do you believe the others will react to finding out about the coughing? Overall, do you think Valentin’s health problems will change the group’s opinions on how normalized the air pollution is? How might this change their future goals?

I think Valentin is hiding the symptoms for a couple reasons. One, if people start talking about it, that makes it "real" and harder to deny to himself. Second, since his parents died due to pollution, he doesn't want his sister to have to go through the same kind of thing again.

I wonder if on some level, like subconsciously, Valentin is hoping for a breakthrough that helps out his own health. And Elena's dismissal of his attempts at research may not be helping with that (though I get why she does it).

eleviken: Yup, I'm one of those readers who tends to check out Q&As and Author Notes and stuff. In particular I was interested because I've never been to China or anywhere in the far East. Cool!

(I'm also a high school teacher, so there's that side of me, pleased to see students doing creative things. )

i honestly feel the denial is more for valentin's sake than elena's sake. because hes what, 14? 14 is not the age where youre ready to accept mortality. 14 is the age where you believe youre super invincible and nothing ever bad will happen to you ever. can do whatever you want for you are the immortal one. and to accept he has contamina is to accept that whatever he had planned in his future is now kaput. and i just dont think hes ready for that, thus the hiding.

not to mention denial is the first stage of the 5 stages of grief

valentin is definitely an optimist, and as the creator it even makes /me/ sad to see (or make lol) him suffer. he's definitely holding out hope for a miracle about his health, whether it turns out to be contamina or not. he is definitely at a point of denial, by filling his life with fun and his new friends to forget about the problem!

eh i feel that the hiding it from others goes along with hiding it from himself. cause i get more the impression hes hiding it from the others to protect himself more than to protect the others. cause if he told elena, shes going to make a fuss and treat him like hes dying. and he cant very well live in denial about dying if everyone treats him like hes dying.

val and elena definitely have the petty sibling dynamic, but with their parents gone they are also looking out for each other. elena isn't good at expressing her emotions, though, so it's not directly stated that she's protective! i think part of his not-wearing-a-mask-stupidity is denial as well. as someone who's inclined to be happy, Val really wants to hold on to that happiness!

Ah soren's grade issue is quite important too! i think the pressure to achieve perfect grades is a reality for many students, and i especially see it at my school.

although tbh i get the hint of a stigma? like at least that guy in the bathroom was kind of...apprehensive when he thought valentin might have contamina. even tho its established contamina is not contagious, its kind of got the cancer affect it seems. where everyone is like eww gross stay away from me sick person. and for an extrovert like valentin, that would probably be devastating. to be avoided because of something like being sick.

Speaking as a teacher, I feel like society (well, North American society at least) is starting to put way too much emphasis on grades, and not enough emphasis on, y'know, actually learning stuff. Students tend to ask me "how can I get an 80%" not "how can I understand this unit better".

Rebel: Good point. It's said to not be contagious, but if people think that only poorer types who can't afford to replace their masks get the disease, that might be part of it.

that's definitely very true at my school - as an asian school with an american system, the pressure to get 4.0s, have extracurriculars, and get into ivies is supersupersuper high. i'm under that pressure myself!

It's one of those things too where, if you see it every day, it just becomes normal. Why confront something that's normal? Whereas for the transfer students, it's not a normal thing, so maybe they can help with that.

Dawg: Yeah, I'm reminded of the "reading difficulties" thing that was alluded to, and how the book he was reading at one point said "you're going to fail" or words to that effect. So definite self confidence issues. I wonder if Soren does have some kind of learning disability though, like dyslexia or something? Or maybe just has trouble with English, is better with German.

i definitely think soren has self confidence issues, but i dont think thats the only thing holding him back persay. i think hes probably suffering a bit from actually being educationally behind. because private schools have way more intense curriculum and generally better educational programs than public schools. so its like someone whose only taken algebra that now they have to do calculus.

But the pollution aspect was really intriguing to me. It’s a real problem in China. But I can relate a little because here in Canada there have been so many fires in the summer especially BC that the air is all smoky all the time and some people have respiratory issues. I could be wrong but I think some people died because of it or at least got sick. I wasn’t bothered by the air when I visited bc

i really love kasen and the dad's dynamics as far as the future goes. cause as a child i def was kasen, wanting to pursue that creative dream. but as an older adult i actually get a lot more with the dad is coming from cause creative pursuits are a hard path. which is why im curious how talented kasen is in the first place. cause she might come to realize that even if she wants to art, she may just not have the talent for it

Oh yeah! I wanted to mention that was real clever, having Fenya and Elena meet early on, then have them become rivals later. Though I don't think Fenya really sees Elena as a rival or with disdain or anything, like just, there's this other girl who fences decently but doesn't watch where she's going, whatever.

Actually it's funny, when I first went to the comic I saw the latest update, with Elena talking about how they were going to get Soren's grades up, and I thought, huh, is she their mother or TA or something but why are they all laughing. Made more sense in context. All that to say, Elena does have leadership skills in terms of motivating people, but I'm not sure about delegation and such.
