#random pet post #it really is a weird coat pattern #I'm never sure if I should describe him accurately as a white marked tabby or as the first impression people get of a black and white cat #love his little backward C's #I got all my other pets around the same time and they've been dying off one by one this last year or so #I'm down to just this 4yo kit and Bruiser #actually I'm not done whispering in the tags #pretty soon it's just gonna be me and this terrible little man against the world #and he gives me such weird problems you cannot even begin to imagine #took to the leash and harness without a bit of difficulty but I can't take him anywhere cuz he freaks out about people 500ft away #really difficult to find sitters for him cuz he gets so stressed about changes and waits until 3am to SCREAM #he's 17 lbs and wants to sleep on my chest 14 hours a day #took him on a work trip a week or 2 ago cuz of aforementioned petsitting troubles and some kind of wire got crossed #so instead of stress peeing in my laundry basket he now humps the nearest blanket covered limb to alert me of problems #he got scared of his water dish recently and is only now starting to get over it after 3 weeks of drama #he knocked it over last night and humped my leg while I tried to sleep to try and convey to me that he was thirsty #I'm thinking of getting a second cat and just fucking hoping that it'll be normal and maybe Prompto can target it for some of his weirdness

Having watched Only Murders in the Building’s third season (SPOILERS FOR ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING THIRD SEASON TURN AWAY!!!!!!!!) it’s nice to get a fishkeeper character who’s passionate about her hobby! Joy wishing to go to the fish store and Charles going “we’ve already been twice today” was funny and relatable. However, I have two gripes… Joy is sort of meant to be a “crazy fish lady”, which, while as a concept I absolutely love it and wholeheartedly encourage more media to have crazy fish people, Joy only keeps a single aquarium with exactly 62 fish. That’s nothing! Passionate keepers can fill a whole room, even several rooms with nothing but fish tanks full of fish, hundreds of fish. Now, obviously they couldn’t fill Charles’ apartment with aquariums, but… they could’ve at least had a couple, right? Poor President McKinley gets put into a regular drinking glass for timeout, when that would never actually be appropriate in real life and the fish should rather be quarantined in another aquarium. Which brings me to my next gripe, how many times President McKinley the goldfish gets mistreated TToTT He has his nice (albeit very empty) aquarium all to himself but then Charles goes and takes the fish along in a plastic bag, which no doubt would be stressful! And then he goes and empties the bag into a toilet tank, nevermind the different water conditions and temperate change and all the harmful metals and chemicals that might be in the water of that old, old rusty toilet…

Yeah yeah, Charles is not experienced with fish and this is his first fish (first pet?) ever, and that very part about bringing the President along is moreso about how he feels lonely and tries his best to hold on to any fleeting relationships he has left, and this show is a work of fiction…. But it still doesn’t mean I’m not going to be mentally going “nooo!!!” every time that fish gets thrown into some new tiny container for jokes >:(

#N posts stuff #like don't get it wrong it Is Not a series about being autistic it Is a series about raising an autistic kid #but also don't be put off by that because it's legitimately a series that I feel Loves autistic people with its whole being #it's kind of a teaching manga so it showcases a lot of different opinions/characters/conflicts/etc. but the Framing is very consistent #in that the manga is Extremely of the opinion that autistic people are People who deserve to be Valued and Accepted As They Are #the onus for change is never put on autistic individuals the framing is basically Universal in the 'the World needs to change #to be more accepting' -- it's a very Social Model depiction of autism that ALSO never veers too far into the #'autism isn't even Really a disability' fallacy; it's very much a 'A lot of autistic people will need constant support in a variety of ways #throughout their lives but that isn't the roadblock preventing them from having their own lives; ableism in society is the roadblock' #the first two chapters are the hardest to get through bc they take place before Sachiko has any real understanding of autism and #so she's isolated and stressed out and the ignorance makes it difficult for her to care for Hikaru properly (there's also a lot of #other characters Blaming her for what's going on which goes unchallenged at this point though that changes later); but after she #understands what autism is she's Firmly in Hikaru's corner for the rest of the series - you can skip right to ch 3 without a problem #if you're not interested in reading about that initial conflict #there's still a Lot of conflict ofc but by then the chapters have some of my favorite moments so i don't want to advocate skipping #them; like Hikaru's daycare teacher explaining how Hikaru's difficulty speaking is the same as other kids' troubles with #things like jump-roping/etc.; and then a mother who has An Issue with Hikaru's presence in her daughter's class realizing the #depth of the problematic opinion bc Her mother (who had a stroke) faces similar ableism from her peers #i'm cutting this post off b4 the tags get Too long but if you're curious but still hesitant man. send me an ask and i will Happily #write an insanely long essay about how much i love this series; i have all the books i'm not excited about the online availability #for Me i'm excited bc i've been wanting to rec this manga for like almost a full decade and i can finally give you a link instead of #saying 'well. you can find used copies sometimes' lol

Having finished BG3 for my second playthrough, and not being able to see Astarion feels like I'm missing something. I was so sad when I beat it especially him running away from the sun 😭Sheepishly I admit I had a few tears when I got my ride off into the sunset scene with him. I need to go on my adventure with him! Don't leave me hanging Larian!

I could do an origin run with him but then I would miss his quips, the Astarion approvals (when they do happen oh the adrenaline rush!), the hug, and all the wonderful things that make our vampire spawn our favorite.

I've also been thinking about a durge run, but being a huge animal lover I would stress about the well being of Scratch and the Owl Bear cub the whole time.

I don't know 🤷 I'll get back to you if I get the guts to finally play durge. I struggle with hurting innocent pixels!

because of inflation and rising grocery prices, my aunt started a garden to grow some of her own produce and like her strawberries came in early this year and she got a fuck ton because she does nothing by halves (like she’s all in). so she brought some over… and now i just have two huge things of fresh strawberries in my fridge and… i’ll be honest, i don’t even really like strawberries that much…
