Chapter 4. Date

Michael froze. Elizabeth rushed towards her father. He looked at her sternly, nodding. Girl obediently got into the car. She knew that if her father talked in that tone and looked at her with that look, then she just had to keep quiet and do what he wanted.

“Dad, i—”

“Get in the car, now.”

Mike quickly went to the car, not even looking at you. You were at a loss what to do. The situation is terribly awkward. You haven’t even thought that Michael lied to his father for the sake of hanging out with you.

“Honey, get in the car, it's cold outside. I'll give you a ride home.” Afton’s face immediately changed, he putted on a wide friendly smile. You couldn't find words, so you packed up the rest of your things and just got in the car, at the same damn front seat. Afton's kids were sitting in the back, none of them wanted to sit next to their pissed father.

William started the engine and the car moved off. The cold didn’t recede, and you already regretted that you wore only a light t-shirt and shorts.

Michael was looking at the floor the whole time, nervously playing with the zipper on his backpack. He knew what was waiting for him. He knew what he was doing, but his stupid habit of not listening to his father's orders always played a cruel joke on him. He was most afraid for you and Elizabeth, because it was him who got you into this situation after all.

“We'll deal with you at home, Michael,” man behind the wheel said seriously. Michael looked up at the mirror in the car, meeting his father's angry gaze. “you’re grown-up guy, but framed yourself and your girl friend.”

You swallowed nervously, feeling uneasy. Is Afton really that cruel? Yes, he sometimes scared you in childhood, but he never showed any hint of aggression towards you or his children, at least in front of you. When you arrived at your house, you wanted to look at Michael, but he was sitting pressed into the car seat, so you hurried out.

Elizabeth waved goodbye to you, you smiled and said goodbye to her in return.

A few days passed after that incident, but you still felt uncomfortable, you felt kind of guilty in front of Mike, and this guilt was eating you up from the inside, forcing you to come up with terrible scenarios in your head. What happened when Michael got home? No, William can't be that cruel.

Unfortunately, Michael started avoiding you, as if he was afraid that someone would see you next to him. When you met on the street, he tried to hurry past with his head down, like a frightened puppy. But Mr. Afton began to visit you every day, every morning he stopped by and brought food to the house: eggs, milk, meat, vegetables. Once he even gave your mom a few hundred dollars so she could buy something for herself, from his words. Sometimes Elizabeth was with him, she couldn't get enough of your company. She kept asking you to play with her in backyard, not that you'd mind, but you couldn't get Michael's behavior out of your head.

On another summer day, you spent time with Elizabeth as always, she showed you her drawings. One of them had an animatronic, although all her drawings consisted only of these robots, but this one impressed you. It was robot girl in a bright red dress and two red ponytails.

“Daddy said he's going to make me one like her soon!” girl exclaimed, looking at your reaction. You looked at the drawing in detail.

“Lizzie, that’s really… great!” you patted her on the head, giving her back her drawing.

“Elizabeth, it's time to go home.” William came up to you. She nodded obediently and headed for the car. “wait for me there, honey.” He said kindly. Still, the way he treated his daughter left you hoping that nothing terrible happened to Michael that day. “Y/n, I have a question for you…“ he began, sitting down next to you on a bench in the yard.

“Yeah?”

“Would you like to go on a date with me?”

“Sorry?” your heart started beating at a furious rate, breathing became faster. You looked at his face, which expressed absolute calm. Your body tensed. Damn, when are you going to stop reacting like that? You must do something about your anxiety.

“I asked if you wanted to go on a date with me, honey.” William repeated.

“B-but you…” you didn't know what words to answer. He's a married man, what will Mrs. Afton think? And what will your whole small town think when they see you two together in some restaurant? “I don't quite understand you…”

“You don't have to worry about such things, bunny.” Afton said stiffly, as if reading your mind. “What do you say?”

You understood that you couldn't refuse. You didn’t knew how to. He was always there for you as if he knew when you were feeling bad and anxious. And how he calmed you down at the cemetery? And how he protected you from your drunken dad when you were little? And when he helped your mom with money and groceries? And in the end, when he gave you an unforgettable birthday in his pizzeria without demanding anything in return? You thought it would be just not right to refuse here.

At some point, he replaced your father. And you was grateful.

“I agree, William.” it was the first time his name came out of your mouth. William’s impassive face immediately changed to delight.

“Good girl,” he caressed your hair. “Ill pick you up tomorrow at 7.”

He chose it carefully and for a long time, as well as the necklace for it. William couldn't take his eyes off you the whole way, which didn't go unnoticed by you.

Your date started at a restaurant that he personally picked up. The place was so luxurious, all those tables for two with a white tablecloth, live music and an incredibly intimate atmosphere. All of this made you feel new, completely unknown feelings, but you liked them.

William ordered the two of you a fish fillet with a vegetable side dish, which he asked the best chef of the establishment to cook, because “my girl has the best of everything.”

Still, the growing feeling that someone of neighbors might see you never left, making you nervous again.

“Y/n, don’t worry," William said, cutting the fish in half. “Think of this date as… a continuation of your birthday.”

The waiter came up to you as soon as you finished eating, but dinner wasn't over for you here, William asked for dessert. Oh, yes, he knew you were a big fan of sweets. Even as a child, when you were visiting his family, your little hands were always reaching for the table with candies, because there was never anything at home.

“What do you think, Princess?” gently, lovingly, he asks, studying your expression. You'd be lying if you said you didn't like it. There was an ice cream in front of you: chocolate, creme brulee and vanilla, all three ice cream balls were covered with caramel. Afton knew your preferences perfectly well.

“That's wonderful, thank you!” like a hungry kitten, you started eating dessert. Your thoughts receded into the background at once, now you were most focused on the taste, it is so cloying, sweet, tender, as you liked. Under all this ecstasy, you didn't even notice William's gaze piercing you. Holding his breath, he watched your actions. You were so happy, so beautiful, so… desirable. Begging to be ruined. And when you licked the rest of the ice cream off your lips, he forgot how to breathe. You're the little devil that drives him crazy.

When dinner was over, William paid the bill for the two of you, leaving a tip for the waiter.

You were standing on the street, not far from his car. Despite the evening, this time the temperature didnt drop like back then, it was very warm. Yes, apparently, this summer will be remembered by you as the hottest of all time. William was talking to someone on the old phone, probably Henry, while you stood there and obediently waited, thinking about dinner tonight. There was no point in hiding it, you liked everything. Yes, there were terrible thoughts in your head that this whole romantic setting was not suitable for a girl who just turned 18 and a man who was already 50, but nothing terrible happened, did it? That date, in your head, was just a substitute for the words “thank you” for everything he did for you.

“Princess,” you didn't even notice when he finished talking on the phone. He turned to you, "I hope I satisfied your childish whims?" He smiled. You were right, William was normal and wasnt going to go any further, you can exhale. He just sees you as a child, like his other daughter… right?

“Of course, Daddy!” you giggled, joking. William however wasn't laughing, he fell into a stupor, what did you just call him? He got speechless. That picture immediately popped into his head, that image of you that has been tormenting him for weeks, months, years. Afton raised an eyebrow, laughing nervously back at you.

“Everything for my girl, let's go to the car.”

This time, the back seats weren't occupied, but because of the state of euphoria and delight, you decided that you could at your favorite damn front seat of this purple car. William got in next to you, but he wasn't going to start the car. He couldn’t get out of his head what you called him a few minutes ago. A joke, huh? Everything is burning inside, a wild, crazy feeling gripped his brain. Whole situation got worse when your dress strap fell off your shoulder, in his head it was like a sign to act.

With a light movement, touching your skin, he tucked strand of hair behind your ear and adjusted the dress strap. His touch caused pleasant shivers that spread all over your body. Heart stopped. His hands gently stroked your neck and shoulders with careful movements. Such a… strange, inexplicable feeling. It seems that you want to continue, but something in your head screams "enough, it’s enough", is this probably the remnants of common sense? Hundreds, no, thousands of butterflies in your stomach, the feeling that you are about to melt, like this ice cream. A pleasant shiver through your body from his touches. You stared into his gray-blue eyes, fascinated, with your mouth slightly open, as if begging him to kiss you.

“You… fuck, you're driving me crazy.” Afton hissed in your ear, from the wave of all these new sensations, you couldn't even answer him. His breath burned your skin. “Let's go to my place.”

You know, Springtrap should REALLY be in Dead By Daylight. No, not because he’s popular with a certain fanbase and whatnot… just because he fits the bill perfectly to be a slasher killer.

What makes a good slasher killer can be easily defined by what we’ve seen already. They need to have an iconic design or a feature that we can easily identify them with such as Michael’s white Halloween mask or Freddy’s Fedora (etc.), they need to have killed people (obviously) but in gruesome/gory ways, they need to be the main antagonist of their respective franchise, they need to have at least some kind of implication of supernatural abilities and they need to never stay dead even after they’ve supposedly been killed. That’s 5 traits. If a character meets at least 4 of those things, then they can be considered some kind of slasher character.

So let’s see what Springtrap/Afton has going for him…

1 - Iconic design: Yeah, he’s iconic enough. His signature yellow rabbit design is fairly distinguishable as well as his colour association, that being purple, yellow and sometimes a more sickly green. He’s even got a mask to go with it.

2 - Murderer: Oh, you better believe it. He’s even decently gory, like other slasher killers. Like, Springtrap is arguably the most gore we see in FNAF ever, that being that his fleshy remains are visible.

3 - Main villain: Ask any FNAF fan ever and they will tell you that Springtrap/William Afton is the main antagonist of the franchise, at least in Scott’s game saga.

4 - Supernatural abilities: This guy is an immortal zombie trapped inside a mechanical suit. Whether he’s still slightly alive or if he’s haunting his own suit doesn’t matter, that stuff ain’t natural. Sooo… yeah! Supernatural is a check!

5 - Doesn’t die: … come on, do I even need to say it? Okay, but seriously though, look at almost every horror slasher ever. They NEVER DIE. You could say they ALWAYS COME BACK. I mean, look at Chucky the Doll and how many times he supposedly gets killed and then comes back every damn time one way or another. Springtrap definitely fits that trope of always being brought back.

Anyways, that’s all. Don’t take this post too seriously, I’m just making this for fun and pointing out to people that Springtrap does actually meet that requirement to get into Dead By Daylight. Hope you had fun reading this! :D

Choice 2. It annoyed me to no end that we never saw Golden Freddy in FFPS, especially since Crying Child never returned as Golden Freddy. So my solution is this. Since Pizzeria Simulator was technically the Afton Family Reunion(and Emily family reunion). I strongly feel like Golden Freddy should have been one of the animatronics we are meant to salvage. Like imagine when we are trying to do our tasks, your computer shuts off and IT’S ME… flashes before we get jumpscared. You could’ve even gave Golden Freddy a new design. Half Golden Freddy and Half Fredbear spliced together. Just to show that Cassidy and Evan are there possessing the animatronics.

“Out of the 4 characters in FNaF 6 (Scrap Baby, Molten Freddy, Scraptrap and Lefty) Molten Freddy is by far the least interesting of the group, I feel like Molten Freddy was a big wasted opportunity as there was so much more Scott could’ve done with him, he could’ve easily include Ballora, Funtime Foxy and Bon-Bon as part of its design and personality but I feel like Scott tossed them aside to put Funtime Freddy front and centre due to his popularity and I honestly think he’s only popular because of his voice and maybe his design (if there are any other reason please let me know because that’s all I can see).So, I decided to create my own version of Molten Freddy and put a different spin on him, to try and make the character more interesting. This is my own interpretation of Molten Freddy, which I’ve named Scrap Ennard.Since Scrap Ennard is made out of at least 3 animatronics: Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy and Ballora (or 4 if you count Bon-Bon), I wanted to show that in its design, instead of having 3 or 4 sperate heads like some people seem to interpret their version of Scrap Ennard (or just one head with Ennard’s mask), I wanted to just have one big head but with 4 faces fused together into a mangled mess, I think this would look a lot more horrifying and scary rather than just having 4 separate heads on long necks which to me is a bit cliché when making a character with multiple heads.I gave Scrap Ennard 4 arms because not only does it look cool but since it’s made out of 4 animatronics, it makes sense for it to have 4 arms, these arms are controlled by a different animatronic, with Ballora controlling its right arm, Funtime Freddy controlling its left arm, Funtime Foxy controlling it’s hook arm and Bon-Bon controlling the claw arm. I only gave Scrap Ennard 2 legs because I felt 4 legs would overcomplicate the design a bit, these 2 legs are controlled by Ballora and Funtime Freddy.With 4 characters in one, this can give Scrap Ennard multiple personalities, with each one having their own voice and behaviours, there would be a total of 5 personalities: Funtime Freddy, Ballora, Funtime Foxy, Bon-Bon and Ennard which will be all of them combined, the personalities would change between nights. Other than Funtime Foxy, each character would have their original voices and it will active with whatever personality is in front, Ballora would still have her singing voice and Funtime Freddy would still have his laughter, for Ennard’s voice it would be all the voices talking at the same time, similar to the Delightful Children from Kids Next Door, that kind of voice coming from an animatronic like this would sound really creepy and unique.Its vocabulary would also change depending on which personality is in front, with the 3 individual personalities with voices addressing itself is “me” or “I” or “he” or “she” but with Ennard’s personality it will address itself as “we” or “us” or “ours”, similar to Ermac from Mortal Kombat.I like the idea of the animatronics working together to navigate and manoeuvre rather the just letting one-character take command, I think it just makes the character more unique, plus it makes more sense within the story, isn’t the reason the 4 remaining characters kicked Circus Baby out of Ennard was because they got tired of taking orders from her, but they’re perfectly okay with taking orders from Funtime Freddy, that doesn’t really make sense to me.”

I will say Ballora would be more active and actually be fighting Funtime Freddy for the more dominant personality just so we can have the whole Afton family reunion.

More emphasis on Scraptrap. So I didn't mention it in the poll because there was no room, but I would put more focus on Scraptrap. Why?

Afton’s characterization in FFPS was disappointing. Not just design wise, but it barely feels like he has a presence.

I understand that William being deceived into entering Henry’s maze isn’t impossible to explain with his current characterization, but the way Scraptrap was handled in FFPS was pretty bad. His design was a downgrade from FNaF 3 and he was difficult to distinguish from the other antagonists. He’s the big bad of the series but Baby, a character who was only introduced in the previous game, had more of a presence. He entered the maze knowing it was a trap but was too tempted to resist. I’m guessing Scott was trying to characterize William as being too bloodthirsty to be rational, but William just came off more as stupid than irrational.

I’d be more forgiving if it was William who delivered the monologue instead of Baby.

Like I could just imagine it. William spouting about how he knew this was all a trap and he knows by who. Imagine this as Scraptrap’s intro instead of stupidly saying “I knew it was a trap but I’m here anyway”. “Tell me, my dear old friend. Did you think I wouldn’t know it was you? I’m coming for you, the children and you, my son.” and make a comment about Michael “the prodigal son has returned” and how fitting he gets to repay Michael for the FF fire. All the children and all the remnant just begging to be harvested. “I cannot die. I am eternal and I always come back. Come Elizabeth, let us start by ending your dear brother’s misery.” Then add in Scrap Baby’s speech and then cut to Henry’s speech.

If they could turn Ennard into Molten Freddy but have Funtime Freddy as the dominant personality, I saw no reason why they couldn't do the same for Ballora. I saw a lot of art and edits of Scrap Ballora as a spider and holding a scythe and I love the concepts and thought it would be great in FFPS. But as for game over voice lines we could have it be like this. Ballora singing a twisted but melancholic melody, Ballora telling Michael "you should have let me in" "No....not you. I didn't want to hurt you." "Together, we are a family."

As for how to tie Ballora and Mrs Afton together. There would be a fourth minigame as a Ballora and the Minireenas minigame. Atari styled DDR I guess? But it works like Fruity maze. Everytime you complete the game, you see something interesting. Complete It the first time and you see a ballerina and the purple man. Complete it a second time and you see the man and the ballerina with a family with three kids. Complete it one final time and you see a car accident and the man taking the ballerina to Ballora and the text reads "I will put you back together"

Choice 6. First we see Michael speak to his family. Before Scrap Baby corners Michael, Michael speaks to his family. “Little brother, Evan. I don’t know if you can hear me or even remember me or your name. But I’m sorry and I love you. Elizabeth, sister. I know you betrayed me and I know you’re the reason why I’m like this. But I forgive you and I love you. Mother. I'm sorry I couldn't set your soul free, but I love you. Father. it’s me Michael. I found you. And I’m going to make sure we all die together, as a family”

Then cue Henry's speech, but a difference.

Henry would address Charlie by name. “Charlie, my daughter if you can hear me. I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. I'm sorry that on that day. The day you were shut out and left to die. No one was there to lift you up in their arms. The way you lifted others into yours. And then, what became of you? I should have known, you wouldn't be content to disappear. Not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now.” It's time to rest, for you, and for those you have carried in your arms.

Choice 7.

The Lorekeeper ending would be like the Happiest Day in FNAF World. There would be two screens for the ending. Showing the graves we got, then doing something similar with FNAF 4 where the plushies and CC’s pass one by one. We would see Atari sprites of the Missing Kids, Charlie, Mrs Afton, and Henry passing one by one, but with the shadow of one remaining just to tease UCN. Then the final image we’d see is Michael holding onto Evan and Elizabeth mirroring FNAF World’s Happiest Day and their spirits at peace ascending to the afterlife

what are your favourite horror movies

what a question to ask me lol. ohhhkay, strap in.

(please note that when you ask me "favourite", that means you get favourite regardless of quality. and you get no tv shows or any such things, strictly movies)

(btw i haven't actually seen that many horror films. many of the iconic franchises especially - chucky, elm street, scream, friday the 13th, texas chainsaw massacre, what have you - just never piqued my interest. maybe some day)

(also these are in no particular order)

1. hellraiser franchise

my working theory is that all "hellraiser" movies are bad movies, but for different reasons. the og from 1987 is a bad movie because it was made on a budget of ten pounds and a packet of crisps. hellraiser 8 is bad because its plot is about a group of teens obsessed with a hellraiser video game getting murdered at a weird sex party. these two are not the same

that being said, i love these movies very much (except for hellraiser 10. i hate hellraiser 10 and will never ever watch it ever again, thank you. no reason) and love to look at pinhead and his many cenobite buddies doing weird kinky shit <3

2. halloween movies (only 1978 and the green trilogy from 2018 onwards)

i haven't seen any of the other ones because i was introduced to the series by my very good friend miri aka @asylos, who showed me those four and no others. and i was like okay :D and just never watched the rest because i don't consume media unless prompted

i'm a basic bitch, i see a man in a jumpsuit and get gender envy, so og twink michael delights me. that being said, old man michael from the green trilogy? CHEF'S KISS. love that fucker. he's the best

3. anything del toro

a lot of his films don't really stay within the constraints of a single genre, but they definitely contain horror elements. my favourite is "the shape of water", which has its moments but is overall not that scary. the pale man from "pan's labyrinth" made quite the impression on me when i first saw the movie because while i had seen the iconic shot of him raising his hands to reveal the Palm Eyes before, i was unaware of the fact that that fucker gets up and shambles around and i was Not Okay with that

4. willy's wonderland

nic cage night janitor animatronic murder fight bonanza my beloved. like honestly, i watched the fnaf movie yesterday and it had zero good cleaning montages, wasn't as funny and had fewer bangers, music-wise, than willy's does. like what's the fuckin point

5. fright night 2011

this film has david tennant in it and that's why i watched it. apart from him being an absolutely show-stealing delight, the rest of the film is also a fun romp. there's vampires and stuff

6. bad samaritan

this film ALSO has david tennant in it. he's doing an american accent (a way better one than in "gracepoint", a show that you should Not watch. just watch "broadchurch" instead please, i promise you're not missing anything) and is playing a rich asshole obsessed with horses who abducts and kills women. also he throws a phone out of a car window at two separate occasions and it cracks me up

the main character is played by some actor whose name i can never remember. he's irish or something and i think he might have been in one of those pieces of media i haven't consumed. umbrella academy? was he klaus in umbrella academy? who's klaus?? is klaus FROM umbrella academy? who knows

anyway, the film is a thriller and i quite like watching it. it's tense with zero unnecessary padding, it knows what it's here for and delivers

7. the thing 1982 + 2011

another one i watched with miri. miri likes to show me horror films (and tv shows) a lot <3 we watched both the og and the new one and i quite liked them! the dog in the 82 one is really really good at his job. i highkey struggle with big groups of characters bc i can't remember names and faces for shit, so i was reeeally bad at spotting the Thing. also i liked the teeth thing from the 2011 one that was smart

8. bunny lake is missing

does this count as a horror movie? idk, but i'm putting it here

9. psycho

it's pretty good. i liked it. i think norman would have been a tumblr sexyman if such a thing had existed in the 1960s

10. the one hour long space horror segment trapped in the middle of otherwise meandering artfilm "2001: a space odyssey"

classic. i haven't seen any of the others apart from "aliens" because the internet said they were bad

12. the abyss

veers closer to sci-fi than horror, but i'm counting it bc it sure is tense. this is a film by james cameron about *checks smudged handwriting* some underwater diving alien nonsense or something. idk, it's been a while since i've watched it. another movie with a big group of characters i can't tell apart for shit, which is why i'm always rooting for some of them to start dying already

i watched this one because i unfortunately am doing a handshake meme with jimmy cameron labelled "hello i am obsessed with the ocean" and unlike me, he has the money to make really long epic films about it

13. the haunting 1963

this is a movie adaptation of "the haunting of hill house" by shirley jackson. it's very good! (if you're familiar with flanagan's netflix show, there are some parts of this movie that will be... quite familiar)

i watched this one with miri, followed immediately by the 1999 remake (?), which i found very strange and occasionally hilarious because of cgi that hasn't stood the test of time. also, i'd like it to be put on record that i fuckin CALLED the thing about the fireplace (somehow lol)

14. rocky horror picture show

my parents showed me this movie when i was maybe a bit too young to see it, at a point in my life where i hadn't quite figured out yet that i was various shades of queer. it sure made an Impression

many years later, i finally got around to watching the sequel, "shock treatment" (thanks to miri, of course) which is very different but also a good time, and has some bangers of its own!

those are all the ones i can think of (and look up in the big movie watchlist google doc miri and i use to keep track of what we've seen so far) without digging through my dvd collection, which i don't feel like doing right now because it'd be a bother.

but just for fun, a few brief honourable mentions:

the shining (i care about shelley duvall and nothing else. so glad she got to punt jack nicholson's character down a flight of stairs with a baseball bat)

black christmas (keir dullea what IS your haircut shgsjfghs)

cabin in the woods (i knew nothing going in and miri was very pleased by this fact)

FNAF Movie officially announced for Oct.22 🎉 Predictions?

I fell asleep with my phone on, so this was the first thing I saw when I woke up so I was a bit like the Mr Krabs meme💀💀

Also, I haven’t seen every single leak or piece of information (I mentioned a while back that I get overstimulated) so these could very well be wrong!

1. My biggest one (walk with me on this!!) is that Vanessa and Michael are going to be related somehow. NOW, HEAR ME OUT!!

The first thing I noticed was that Mike, Abby and ‘Mike’s Mom’ all have dark hair, whereas William is *supposedly* either greying, or has light coloured hair (is it blonde??) Yes, genetics work like that, but I remember seeing one kid that had to dye his hair blonde (he seemed to be part of the missing kids). From what I saw of the photo, all of the kids had their canon appearance (Gabriel is being played by a black kid, a red head kid for Fritz etc)…

This could’ve just been changed based off of auditions (again, don’t take this seriously😭 [not OP but certain fans]) but the only blonde missing kid was Susie. IDK if they’ve casted a CC, but it could very well be that CC in the is blonde (Also note, Elizabeth was the only blonde kid in the family in the games👀) like his father (✨recessive genes✨). KEEP THAT IN MIND!!

Mike and Vanessa being the same age is strange, considering if this film had followed game canon, it’d be impossible for them to be the same age (Michael was likely born in late 60’s/Early 70’s, and Vanessa is like late 20’s/early 30’s in Security Breach). Considering William is an awful person, it’s not too unlikely that he could’ve cheated on his wife around the time Michael was born. Again, going back to the blonde hair, and the speculation of the ‘A’ in her name… (I hope I don’t sound like MatPat or something💀) (EDIT HALFWAY THROUGH ME TYPING: ‘Unnamed Female Villain’ is also blonde, and an older woman👀) /I’m just saying, IDK who she is so her role should be interesting considering there’s not many villains?!/

2. Moving on… I don’t think Abby is going to die in this. I remember seeing that there’s a three movie deal with Universal, and so the obvious choice is to drag it out 💰💸 (Scott Cawthorn is LAUGHING) but also, it seems like there’s far too much ground to cover.

3. Maybe there’s a reason for an ‘Abby Schmidt’ rather than ‘Elizabeth Afton’ (her only documented name), and I think that it’s just because they changed their name after everything went down. I think the Schmidt’s are going to have close contact with their mother, whilst she and William are estranged. Also, Mike is likely Abby’s sole provider.

4. We are going to be confused about something else in the timeline. No doubt. Questions may be answered but ATP it’s FNAF’s brand to confuse us and leave us hanging💀

5. Hank is Henry, no doubt!

6. I don’t think William is being spring-locked just yet.

7. Vanessa and Mike are going to meet at the mall as security guards, and they’re going to become close. (I’ve said this before)The betrayal (if you can call it that) will be when she’s pulled to the dark side after learning about what happened! I think therapy is going to be significant too, since they cast a DR. I think she’ll be more a part of Vanessa’s storyline (uncovering her past) than Michael’s (but she may convince him to go/get used to the idea)

8. Charlie/CC won’t get that much screen time. I think the focus will be on the MCI and everything after.

9. Mike will be a grey character/antihero and will do something veryy questionable💀(and I’ll love him regardless😌)

10. I don’t have one rn (I’m sure it’ll come to me) so I’m just going to make the numbers whole :)

Pt1 Pt2

Since the accident Evan hadn't seen Michael in years, he missed him greatly, every time someone entered the restaurant, Evan felt a resurgence of hope rush through him, hope that quickly died down as he realised Michael still hadn't returned to him. Evan feared he would never see Michael again.

He often spent his time alone, a phantom in the shadows, a silent observer. The other spirits were all very angry, but Evan still envied them. They all had a physical form, they could communicate with one another, they weren't alone.

Night 1

The security guards always came and went, never staying for more than a week. So when a new security guard showed up for their first shift no-one batted an eye, they'd kill him then wait for a new one. This one was different though, they all recognised him, but only Evan knew him for who really he was.

Michael was listening to the previous guards message, he had stayed longer than any other before the unfortunate circumstance of his death. Evan felt his non-existent eyes begin to well with non-existent tears of joy as he finally saw his brother after years of longing.

Evan tried to make contact with Michael, but having no physical form ment his communication was limited to small flickers, the first thing Evan told him was

Night 2

Once Michael got settled in and picked up the phone, Bonnie quickly left the stage, on the move towards Michael. Evan began to panic, scared of losing Michael when he just got him back. His fear turned to courage as he shut the door on Bonnie's face.

Michael stared in shock at the door that closed on its own. He hesitantly turned on the light by the door, flinching as he sees the haunting silhouette of the animatronic rabbit. He feels the guilt within him rising, he knows they mean him no harm, they're just scared, and vengeful towards his father, they just can't tell the difference.

Evan can feel the sorrow within Michael, he knew his brother so well. Even though he had nothing to feel guilty over, Evan had already forgiven him, Michael still felt like it was his responsibility to atone for their father's sins.

Night 3

As worried as he was for Michael's safety, Evan was ecstatic that he kept coming back each night. He knew it was selfish, but he simply didn't care. He finally had his big brother back, and he would fight to keep him.

This was going to be the most intense night yet. This is when Freddy began hunting his prey. Evan and Michael would have to work together in order to protect him, Evan knew he was in danger, but he was secretly excited to spend this time with Michael.

Evan fought off Freddy and Chica when necessary, lessening Michael's workload significantly. Michael was greatful, but curious as to who his mysterious helper was, but he wouldn't question it, he knew how rare it was to have an ally in a place like this, that wasn't just a prerecorded message.

Night 4

The previous night guard was dead. Evan already knew, but seeing the shock and horror on Michael's face made him feel bad. Evan would never hurt Michael, nor would he let anyone else, he just had to protect him tonight, and every other night.

Evan continued to fend off Freddy and Chica, but they were getting more and more angry, more and more powerful, they were draining his energy. With each time they tried to attack Evan became weaker.

Evan knew he wouldn't have enough energy to keep going so he returned to Michael, hoping to gain enough energy to defend him from direct threats.

Once the six am alarm blared, Michael practically ran out of the restaurant, not even stopping to thank Evan for his help. But Evan understood, he must be so confused and scared. He could only hope and prey that Michael came back tomorrow night.

Night 5

Michael returned for another night, having barely any time to prepare before the animatronics became active. Evan jumped into action, keeping Freddy and chica at bay.

Now that Evan knew his limits, he knew when to fall back to Michael and regain his energy. As much as Evan liked protecting Michael now that he had the ability too, it felt very nice to know Michael could defend himself, and Evan.

They kept on fighting the animatronics until 5:57, when the power went out. Michael was paralysed, Evan knew what happened to the guards if the power ran out, and he would never allow that to happen to Michael.

5:58, loud, slow thumps could be heard getting closer to Michael, stopping just outside his door. Evan prepared himself for a fight. A classical tune began playing, small lights flash, showing the animatronic waiting in the shadows.

5:59, the tune and lights stopped and the boys were thrusted into darkness once again. The silence was deafening, occasionally being interrupted by more thumping. Michael prepared for the worst.

6:00, the alarms rang. Michael ran out as fast as he could, Evan followed close behind, gaining speed as he neared the exit. He was so excited to finally be free, to leave with Michael. Michael quickly left the restaurant, once Evan tried to leave with him, an invisible force prohibited him. He tried again but once again was unable to.

"Michael!" He called out, "Michael! Help me! I'm stuck!" Evan pleaded but Michael kept running. "Please don't leave me alone again." He whimpered before falling to the ground again, "Please, Michael, help me." He cried, like he always did. Just give up and cry.

We got a lot of fnaf content this year and I was obsessed with it. So obsessed, that I was to invested in consuming this content that I hardly ever posted about it.

I love this franchise so much. I've been invested in the lore, games, books, and YouTube videos since it came out. I love everything about this franchise.

4: One Piece

As a long time One Piece fan, I gotta say my burn out for this anime was coming. Then I heard about the Netflix adaptation and that they were crunching the entire East Blue Arcs into 8 episodes... I was scared.

Then I watched it and it reignited my fire for this. I even started rewatching the anime so I knew what was next to come. Not only that, but my sister got into the show cause of the live action and we're watching it together.

Not only that, but we also got to the end of the Wano Arc! One Piece's longest arc yet and I loved every second of it. They really turned up everything for this arc and I am here for it.

WE ALSO GOT THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE REMAKE ANIME BY WIT STUDIOS!! I am so hyped for this. To see the story be told with better pacing, less filler, and maybe they can make Skypia bearable to watch /j.

3: Fionna and Cake

I was so ready for this show. When I learned about it I was so confused. Like, yall are making a spin off about filler episodes??

I always loved Fionna and Cake so I wasn't upset but confused. Then I watched it and fell in love. Seeing all the characters and where they are now after the almost end of the world and then falling in love with the new characters.

Everything about this show was amazing to me and i cannot wait for season 2.

2: Heartstopper

Those who know me know that I am obsessed with Heartstopper and the Osemanverse as a whole. These characters are so amazing to me and I love all of them so much.

We got season 2 of Heartstopper out on Netflix and we also got the release of volume 5! Season 3 completed its filming and we got to see the actor playing Michael Holden! Heartstopper fans have been feasting this year.

Nick and Charlie are some of my favorite characters of all time and I cannot wait to see where this goes in the future.

Let's be honest, if you didn't expect this to be number one then you don't know me lol. Tmnt is the whole reason I started this blog so I could freely blab about my hyperfixations without fear.

And the tmnt community has been fed this year with content. Not only did we get the new tmnt movie (WHICH WAS INCREDIBLE AND AMAZING AND I LOVED IT SM) but we also have some of the best aus and fanfictions out there in my opinion. where do i even start with this?

First of all, it was not scary. The tension was weak and the jumpscares were weak. For a franchise KNOWN for it's jumpscares, I expected to at least once get jumpscared by an animatronic. Tell me why a figurine of fucking balloon boy got all the jumpscares? They used all the cheap jumpscare types, like the oh I bumped into something that made a loud sound but nothing for the actual animatronics? (you could count Foxy a 1 (one) time but really it wasn't that well executed).

Though the animatronics themselves looked great. I don't think CGI was once used and it was all practical. So props for that. And the sound design behind the animatronics was great too. The sound of gears and metal moving as they moved too was so good. AND talking about movement; the fact that we saw them move soo much during the movie not only took away the horror factors it completely erased them. We see them moving IN the cameras, we see them walk around and my god build a fort from chairs and tables(i WILL get to that). They are not uncanny. One of the things that made them scary at least for me was that we never really saw them move. If you observed one through the camera, the camera would cut out for a second and then suddenly they were not there anymore. Only time (in fnaf 1) you could saw one of them move through the camera is when Foxy runs to you and at that point you only have second to react or your dead. I think the first half of the movie was going somewhat of a right track. Showing the animatronics standing somewhere in a shadow barely illuminated. It was good. But when it came down to it and the first really dangerous night for Mike came and they really started attaching, all the tension went out the window.

Then the location. I think it looked great. All the old school gear and the 80s aesthetics. It was very Freddy's and I think is one of the highlights of the movie.

Ok let me get into the story!!! So first of all this movie obviously doesn't exist in the same universe as the games. It's more like the books, that share many things and they do influence each other but do not take place in the same timeline.

So the movie mostly follows what Fnaf 1 had. The 4 core animatronics(plus golden freddy) and Mike Schmidt is the security guard. Though it mixes some other things in there too. Like Springtrap and Vanessa etc.

So this timelines Michael Schmidt is not an Afton. (Which i think is fitting for this. It would have not made any sense bc he had met William Afton face to face and why he wouldn't recognize his own father? So it's good he's not an Afton.) He lost his brother to William and was most likely killed. His main drive in the movie is to find his brother's kidnapper. He tries to achieve this through his memory of that day that his brother was kidnapped. An in-universe book called 'The Dream Theory'(hah scott i see what you did there) suggest that the human mind soak up way more detail from our surroundings than we realise. So he revisits this memory of his through dreaming about it, sure of it that eventually he will see the face of the kidnapper.

After Mike's parents both presumably passed away he was left to take care of his sister, Abby, who for some reason has a connection to the five missing children that possess the animatronics. It was never really told how she can talk and interact with them. Mike only can talk to them in his dream, so I think it's somehow tied to her being a child.

After Mike's aunt threatens to take Abby away from his care, due to her believing that he is not fit to raise a child(which we see him agree with, though being reluctant to let go of Abby who expresses hate towards the aunt due to her being antagonistic) Mike takes the job of night guard in the old abandonment Freddy's pizzeria. During his job he gets in contact with the 5 MCI kids through his dreaming. He's convinced that they know who took his brother, but the kids are not giving him any information, seeming not to trust him. He keeps coming back to the restaurant in hopes of getting something out of the kids.

I think at night 2 he meets Vanessa, a patrol cop who's rout crosses with the old Freddy's building. After talking with Mike and seeming to have excessive amount of knowledge about the restaurants and what happened there. Telling Mike about the 5 missing children and that nobody ever found them.

Theres this whole story of the aunt and how she tries to get Mike fired from the job to taint his record even more to get a judge to agree to make her Abby's guardian but most frankly i dont give a fuck and its just an excuse to force Mike to take Abby to his shift. (even the deaths of the 4 adults resulting from this are not anything special and NOT scary)

SO Mike is forced to take Abby to work with him which results in Abby (im pulling my hair out) befriending the animatronics that the kids possess. And this then ends up in Abby, Mike, Vanessa and the animatronics building a pillow fort from chairs and tables and having a good time (i am not fucking kidding this is a montage of the animatronics stacking up tables on top of each other).

Eventually though Mike talks to the kids in his dream and they make a deal, that they will let Mike live the dream of being with his brother every night in exchange that he would give them Abby. Mike in his weakness agrees to it but instantly regrets it. This being his character arc in the movie. He's been dwelling so much in his past and on the memory of his brother and his kidnapping that he's ready to give up Abby to just fix what happened. But he soon realises that he cannot change what happens and has to choose the future and save Abby. Now that he has a real chance at it.

After this he confronts Vanessa who has been sus about all that's been happening and clearly withholding information. She tells him that the reason the kids want Abby is to 'make her like them'. She also tells him who the killer and the kidnapper of Mike's brother was, William Afton (dramatic namedrop!!) and that she is his daughter. This whole time she had known about her father's murders and even the fact that he had stuffed the children inside the suits. (and she did nothing, typical cop behavior) Though it's made clear that William has heavily traumatized her and made her submit to his plans, using her as a puppet in his own scheme.

During this confrontation, Abby has traveled to the Freddy's location with Golden Freddy, who came to fetch her from her home. This is the first time we see the Golden Freddy suit which I think looks. It has more supernatural elements like in the games too.

Mike too head to the restaurant to rescue Abby. Using a taser and electricity to "turn off" the animatronics. He saves Abby from being put into a springlock suit. But then DUN DUN DUUUN Springtrap shows up!!(ok the scene of him emerging from the shadow, blocking the exit from Mike is good. though it sucks be we already saw it in the trailers so it took away from it) and so beings the final confrontation of the movie between William Afton and Mike. (In general I liked this scene. William taunting Mike, telling him how he killed his brother and now getting to kill him too. He calls it 'symmetry' which I think is interesting). Mike though, gets knocked out by William and now Vanessa steps up to him. confronting his father and standing up for herself. Even shooting at him, clearly telling that she no longer will work for him. But William gets the upper hand and stabs her.

At this point it's clear that William is somehow controlling the animatronics and the kids. It makes no sense for the kids to want and make Abby 'like them' (kill her and possess and animatronic). So its clearly William's desire to kill her.

Though in the end Abby breaks this control by switching a drawing on the wall of the restaurant of Spring Bonnie with four kids to a drawing of the rabbit killing the kids. This breaks the control over them and then comes the part I came to watch this movie in the first place. The springlock failure scene. And guess what? DISAPPOINTMENT DISAPPOINTMENT nothing but disappointment. It wasn't gross, with wasn't bloody and it did not look at all like it hurt. The fact that it was not bloody in the slightest is ridiculous. Sorry but how did a 8-bit minigame make the process look hundred times more painful and agonizing? and the "i always come back" line was just fan service bc William you haven't come back yet?? Did you die already? NO!! You don't get to say it yet!

Ok but what I think was the most confusing part was how exactly William controlled the animatronics and event he kids. The fact that what breaks this control is a picture showing that William killed them, making them remember what happen and finally getting revenge on him. Memories are a huge part of this movie and the whole franchise in general. It is a big part of remnant and how it works and I think in this timeline too, they are prevalent. The things that helps Mike dream about the memory of the day his brother was kidnapped, is a poster of Nebraska, which shows a forest. It is the place it happened so strong imaginary, photo or (!!) a drawing helps someone remember. It is mentioned that the animatronics like drawings. Abby handing them her own ones and she is most of the time shown drawing.

So I think that a same way a picture can help you remember a memory, a picture can also fake or replace a memory. William constricting a wall full of kids drawings of happy memories from Freddy's and the Spring Bonnie. And this somehow erasing the memory of them being killed by a man in a yellow bunny suit and either completely erasing it or replacing it with something else. This making sure that the kids think that the Spring Bonnie is a friend and someone to be trusted. So they do as he tells. Until of course they are reminded of what actually happened by Abby.

ok this was a lot and im getting sleepy but i still wanna point out that I think that the Golden Freddy kid could be this timeline counterpart to Cassidy/the vengeful spirit. What makes me think of it the most (aside the fact that cassidy is one of the souls inhabiting golden freddy) is the scene of him looking at William struggling in his springlocked suit. He seems to look almost happy at his pain which I think could be parallel to UCN but i might be reaching.

BUT overall it was mediocre. The acting was good and the set design was very good but the execution just didn't do it for me. There was almost no gore and whatever there was it was off screen. It was very tame with it which was disappointing. It lacks as a horror movie in ways I didn't know a horror movie could lack. Anyway say no to video game movies.

uh. to put the games in chronological order it would be

fnaf 4: we play as the crying child as he lay in the hospital after the bite of 83. the minigames show the days leading up to the day he died, his birthday. the animatronics we see as the nightmares the crying child is having before he passes away at the end of the game.

fnaf 5: michael is told by his father to investigate an underground bunker connected to their house. there he finds a massive facility that houses the funtime animatronics, animatronics that never made it into the public eye because of an incident that occured opening day. this incident was of course elizabeth afton's death at the hands of circus baby. william had already killed children at this point because the reason he made the funtime animatronics was to lure and kill children in order to study remnant, a substance that allowed children murdered by animatronics or near them to have their souls bonded to the very endoskeletons of the animatronics. anyways this is when circus baby and the rest of the funtimes meld together to form an animatronic named ennard and use michael's hallowed out body as a way to escape.

fnaf 2: takes place in 1987, one of the rare occasions we get an actual year the events occured. besides fnaf 4 which ofc takes place in 1983. william has been shut out from any freddy's locations at this point. probably bc of all this missing and dead children he leaves behind everywhere he goes. this is their third? location. so the first missing kids incident takes place and when the bite of 87 takes place. after all that went down obviously they had to close and re-opened using remodeled versions of the old animatronics from the previous restaurant (the second one in the chain of many, many locations).

fnaf 1: takes place after the bite of 87 and is a direct sequel to the second game. we've known this since the second game came out. probably michael afton takes up the job of nightguard to do investigations into his father's crimes and is eventually fired for tampering with the animatronics. since it's the first game in the series we don't actually learn a lot at this point except for a) the bite of 87 happened and b) some kids went missing

fnaf 3: takes place in 2023. some dickwads open up a horror attraction to capitalize on the kind of urban legend that the freddy's restaurants had turned into. michael starts working here as a nightguard because of course he does and is rewarded in the form of his father's corpse, now melded to the spring bonnie animatronic (it's a long story). yay! a family reunion! too bad every family member michael meets is trying to kill him. turns out the people running this horror attraction managed to find a real aimatronic that had been left over from the fnaf 1 location and that was, of course, william. long story short michael tries to burn down the attraction and kill his child murdering father but is unsuccessful.

then finally fnaf 6: don't know how far into the future this is but it's after ennard has been forcibly removed by michael's body (you know. bc he was dying. and what's a dead body to a bunch of robots trying to blend in?) and was forced to live in the sewers and after the fnaf 3 attraction was burned down. henry emily, father of charlie and previous business partner of william is actually responsible for building a new freddy's location with the sole purpose of luring all the animatronics into one place so he can finally kill them all. michael once again takes this job because of course he does (shouldn't he be dead? don't worry about it). so boom it works and all the animatronics with souls attached to them including the original five murdered kids, elizabeth, william and charlie are lured to the location and burned, finally setting them free. henry and michael choose to stay behind and burn as well.

fnaf custom night: william's eternal purgatory/hell, basically. idek if it's canon to the timeline but if it is this is where it fits in.

idc about security breach or help wanted as they relate to the lore. i'm just gonna say the story wrapped up in 6 because that's the best possible timeline that makes the most sense!

also this isn't like. a description of the lore it's just a timeline for me to decide where to start when talking about the lore. also if i got anything wrong let me know (anything canon that is, most of the stuff we have is just heavily implied or speculation anyways lmao)

crow where can i find out the whole fnaf story easily? do i just go to the wiki or is there a good video to watch online? i love the games but have never actually learned all the lore behind them and with the movie coming out i want to finally do that

an actual super short explanation that is genuinely really good and concise and covers the majority of the plot is this video right here! this is probably the kind of thing you’re looking for and it sums everything up way better than i think i ever could tbh

however. long-winded response with extra details below lol

so i do want to start with saying that there Really isnt an easy explanation for a lot of the lore of the games bc so much of it is still heavily debated, to the point that even a lot of the basic timeline is pretty open for interpretation. that said, theres a good few commonly accepted timelines and theories that tend to be very similar to each other with only minor differences (such as swapping the order in which a few deaths happened early on), but part of why i really love fnaf so much is because the plot holes and inconsistencies make the story feel more involved as you try to figure out how you think everything happened. all this to say that my answer (and the video’s answer) is probably different from the next person’s answer which is different from the next person’s and so on

also despite being deeply obsessed with these games for like 9 years now, i havent read any of the books at all! the books and games (and movie) are viewed as being different canons, even as far as having different children in the main characters’ families in the books compared to the games. so my answer is only going to be about the games.

NOW while i love that video, for the sake of being concise it does miss a few things! and instead of sending you on a scavenger hunt to find answers for each specific thing i figure it would probably be easier (and more fun for me tbh. mostly the second part. i really love these games) to just briefly explain some of them:

the storyline order of the games: this is slightly complicated because of the cutscenes and main gameplay often taking place at different points in the storyline. some bits and pieces can be argued about what order they happened in, but my personal timeline is:

fnaf 4 cutscenes (bite of ’83)

fnaf 4 gameplay (evan’s nightmare coma following the bite of ’83)

fnaf 5 gameplay (sister location)

fnaf 2 gameplay (ends with the bite of ’87)

fnaf 1 gameplay

fnaf 3 cutscenes (william gets springlocked) (im torn putting this one here tbh but elaborating on that would make it more confusing i fear lol)

fnaf 3 gameplay (fazbear frights)

fnaf 6 gameplay (pizzeria simulator)

fnaf 7 gameplay (ultimate custom night, not a canon game to my understanding, but i really like including it, personally)

who do you play as in each game: like the timeline, some of these games are pretty clear on who you play as, and some are still debated a bit (i’m looking at you “fritz”). some of these are just heavily theorized, some are essentially confirmed. for the sake of simplicity, i’m just going to list them all together though.

michael afton: fnaf 1 (as “mike scmidt”), 3 (unnamed), 5 (as “mike”/“eggs benedict”), 6 (unnamed)

“evan” afton: fnaf 4

william afton: likely fnaf 7

jeremy fitzgerald (no that name has not been mentioned elsewhere in here, this is his only appearance shoutout jeremy, he showed up, nearly got murked, and never came back): fnaf 2 nights 1-6

fnaf 2 night 7 is where “fritz” comes into play: i think hes michael, as he was fired for similar reasons to “mike scmidt,” but from what i’ve seen this is still debated a bit, so im giving fritz his own section

evan’s name: we don’t actually know his name, but “evan” is the most commonly used fanon name and has been for years now. not that important but just in case you see someone calling him another name such as CC, which stands for crying child (because his sprite in the cutscenes in the game was almost always crying)

the order of the murders: the video i linked quickly covers the murders of the five children (susie, jeremy (not fitzgerald), fritz (also not the possibly michael fritz, i do not know why scott only knows like 10 names), gabriel, and cassidy), charlie emily, elizabeth afton, evan afton, and michael afton. to my knowledge, the only confirmed sequence of these deaths are actually:

susie, the little girl who haunts the chica animatronic, was the first one to be killed

evan died in 1983 (the bite of ’83)

michael died last

while the rest are usually left to fanon and theorized timelines.

the bite of ’87: while this has not been explicitly confirmed to my knowledge, the general consensus is that following the 6th night, a security guard during the day shift, likely the same guard you played as during the first 6 nights of this game (fnaf 2), was bitten in the head by an animatronic during the last birthday party that was scheduled at the location before it closed down due to someone (presumably william) breaking in and “using” the spring bonnie animatronic (which would later be called “springtrap” after william dies in it). the culprit behind the bite is commonly theorized to be the mangle due to the positioning of its jumpscare lining up with the player’s forehead. don’t worry, he survives though! as confirmed by the first game’s phone message that says “its amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe” in reference to the bite of ’87 thumbs up emoji

where the hell is anyone’s mother in these games? truly one of life’s great mysteries

have you seen the games but never heard of remnant until this video? don’t worry, it wasn’t explained until the AR game made for ios and android. it literally was not explained in the core games. you didn’t miss anything, these games are just a mess (said with all of the fondness in my heart)

movie tie-ins: WOOO MOVIE so obviously this is all speculation based on one teaser, one trailer, and audition descriptions, but so far we know we have “mike scmidt” in the movie as our main character. is he going to be a new character? is he going to be michael afton using an alias like in the game? no idea! and aside from potential leaks, we probably wont know until october 27. we also know that he has a little sister in the movie! her name is abby, not elizabeth, but its very possible she’s a similar “character” with a name swap, we really don’t know yet (also i feel that “abby” is a bit close to “baby” like the “circus baby” animatronic that killed elizabeth and that she then haunts so). we also know from audition descriptions that michael is “riddled with guilt over a tragedy in his past” which people are hoping will be the accidental manslaughter of his younger brother, as it would lend to the possibility of movie michael being michael afton. i dont really feel the need to elaborate on william speculation given its everywhere lol, but i do want to place an emphasis on vanessa being in the movie - almost certainly the same vanessa from help wanted and security breach. full transparency: i did not like her in those games because i felt she was a potentially original new villain that could’ve been cool to see after william was finally killed in pizzeria simulator, only for her to then be turned into a plot device to resurrect william. i’m in the personal camp of “let peepaw stay dead can we move on already,” so that twist annoyed me a lot lol (all the power to those who enjoyed her character/arc, but personally im just too attached to the ending of pizzeria simulator having michael and william both finally dying to enjoy the william resurrection plot like at all). given william seems to be fairly alive in the trailer, though, im hoping this means she’ll actually get to be her own character. either way, she looks like shes going to be important in this movie, so you might find her worth looking into as well!

FNAF THEORY PART 1: WHAT’S IN THE SAFE?

Ok, first part of this crazy theory. I think the safe is the game, and it contains everything: every pizzeria and facility, every minigame, every soul trapped, it's all inside of the box, and Evan / Crying Child is the one controlling it. I promise it’ll make more sense once I explain, so please, if you’re interested, keep reading, because this is a long ride. 

1) THE DEATH OF THE CRYING CHILD

We all know what happened to Evan: he’s tormented by his older brother and the day of his birthday Michael and his friend try to pull out a prank and it goes horribly wrong. Evan dies, and in his last moments, he hears what is probably the voice of his father saying: 

But, what happens next?

The most popular theory and the one that most part of the fandom takes as canon is that Evan is the one possessing Golden Freddy. 

And well, here I am, trying to contradict it because I don’t have preservation skills or I’m too dumb to connect the dots that everyone sees. No, seriously, it is probably that I’m just dumb, but that doesn’t stop me from explaining why I think Evan isn’t possessing Golden Freddy, and that is because of the five souls.

The games are always referring to 5 souls trapped in the animatronics, not 6:

There are only 5 souls attacking William in FNAF 3.

The stories of Candy Cadet make reference to 5 souls, and yeah, it's really possible that those stories are about the kids.

The souls of the kids become Ennard and then Molten Freddy, but Elizabeth was also in Ennard, so the two siblings are sharing some space during that time, but the kids left Elizabeth out and not Evan, who’s also the son of William Afton?

If William knows about the souls possessing animatronics, why was he going to put one of the bodies in the same suit where his son is? As we see, there were some other animatronics that he could use, but he chose Golden Freddy.

So, if Evan isn’t in Golden Freddy, where is he? 

Well, he’s everywhere. He isn’t possessing the animatronics, he possesses the entire place.

I know it is strange and it’s against the major theory but hear me out: Evan is a kid terrified of the animatronics, and he dies in a cruel and horrible way because of an accident. Maybe his mind is shattered, and he can’t remember all that happened, and his spirit is trapped in the place he was always afraid of, crying in a corner without no one noticing him, while a more violent part of him, the one that represents that agony, is the one dragging everyone who dies into his box. 

Or, maybe his soul stayed there not only because it is the place where he died, but also because, as the plush animatronics said to him at the end of FNAF 4.

His family, the ones that were supposed to protect him, caused his death, so now he has to find someone new to protect him, and the animatronics, his old friends that started as the core of his fears, become his protectors. 

Think about Evan as the center of his own gravity field: every soul that dies in the pizzeria is trapped by Evan’s gravity, and can’t get out. That will explain, for example, why the souls of the kids are still in the pizzeria, even after William comes back and destroys the animatronics, or why the animatronics are always dragged back to the pizzeria. Ennard got away in Sister Location, but comes back as Molten Freddy in Pizzeria Simulator. The same goes for Springtrap or Baby.

They’re always dragged back, because they’re still trapped in Evan’s gravity. They can’t get out. 

So, I think that Evan is divided in two: his agony and violence (trapping the souls inside of his prision becuse of what happens, because no one helped him) and his fear, that observes everything. Evan’s soul stayed in the pizzeria because, in his last moments, the animatronics reminded him that they were friends. So he’s still afraid, and probably doesn’t remember a lot, but he’s watching and this is his home now. 

That brings us to the next point: 

2) THE PIZZERIAS = THE SAFE / THE BOX

This fucking box that no matter how hard you try, no one is able to open, and what’s inside is making the fandom go crazy. 

As I said before, I think the box represents the pizzerias and everything that is going on. We can’t open it, because that would mean that Evan and the rest of the souls are free, and the game would end. 

If the box is supposed to be a mirror of the game and the story, that would explain some things:

In Candy Cadet’s stories, the three end with the kids or the kittens locked inside of a room, a coffin or literally a box, mimicking how the souls of the kids are trapped in the pizzeria.

In the FNAF 3, you win the minigames by breaking the games and going out of the square to find the crying child. You know, by going out from the box, and that’s how you find the endings where you can free the souls of the kids. 

The map from Pizzeria Simulator resembles the box. 

If the games are the box, then obviously if you go out of your way the game is going to break, that’s not supposed to happen. We can’t win, at least not for now, because that means that the game ended, and FNAF is not the type of game where you simply can win or find the answers. We have to decode things, and theorize, and break our minds to find the keys for the safe.

But why is telling us that some things are best left forgotten? Because, if we don’t forget, if we keep going, then there’s always going to be more, and the loop of suffering and death is going to continue. 

Maybe it is a warning, that the moment we understand what’s going on and the safe is open, then what’s the point? You save the souls, but you also finish the game. 

So, maybe we need to keep searching for the answers, until it's the time to open the box. 

But for now, we can’t win, we can’t save Evan, we can’t end the cycle.

Also, Scott said that the content of the box changed over time. If inside of the box is everything that’s going on, then yeah, the content has to change. 

But why am I so sure that Evan is possessing the place? The safe and the pizzeria could be the same thing without having to put Evan as the one creating the box. Couldn’t it just exist? 

Well, that’s for the next segment:

3) SHADOWS AND NIGHTMARES

When we play, we have two sections: the ones where we play as a night guard, and the minigames. The minigames are in a completely different style, and can go from telling us details about the plot or make us play as mangle running away from a child. 

But, what if those minigames were actually the things that Evan sees and remembers? As I said, his death is the thing that started this chain of events, he could see everything that happens: Charlie’s death, Elizabeth’s death, Balloon Boy giving balloons to the kids, William Afton destroying the animatronics… In FNAF 4, we play as him during his last days of life. 

Also, some evidence that the minigames are from Evan’s perspective:

In FNAF 4, we see details in the dolls animatronics that aren’t in the original animatronics (like Chica’s beak), but that are in the nightmare versions, aka Evan’s nightmares. If these scenes are from his perspective, it would make sense that  some details that are different from reality.

As I said, all the other scenes in the minigames are things that Evan could see if he’s possessing the places. Also, the fact that Evan’s memories and the minigames are in the same style.

If you beat the Balloon Boy minigame, you’ll see what’s like three coffins under a tree. The only three corpses that could be buried during the games were: Evan, Elizabeth (if William got his body back from Baby’s stomach) and Charlie. The bodies of the five kids were never found, William is rotting inside of Springtrap and Michael is literally a living corpse.

But, do you remember when I said that maybe Evan could be a more vengeful ghost than we thought, or he could be divided in two: his agony, making the pizzeria a living hell, and his fear?

Well, I think that these emotions have a way to manifest in the games, and that’s where the shadow animatronics come in. 

Honestly, I don’t really know if someone already explained what the shadow animatronics are, and a friendly reminder that I’m stupid and maybe this is just some bonkers theory and you read all that and are asking yourself: what the fuck is she saying? 

But my mother didn’t raise a coward, she raised a girl that makes bad decisions, so let’s go: the shadows are the manifestation of Evan. During the games, we can see figures like Shadow Freddy or Shadow Bonnie, and if they are Evan, it would make sense because:

The shadow version doesn't follow the same norms as the other animatronics. They appear and disappear, like they aren’t there, and don’t attack the player.

Shadow Bonnie appears in FNAF 2 and FNAF 3, and it's near the code that lets you play the minigames. Evan, of all people, would be the one who has access to the minigames because, you know, they’re his memories. In addition to this, Shadow Bonnie has shiny eyes and teeth. The teeth I think are important, if we’re talking about Evan.

Shadow Freddie appears in FNAF 2, has gray tears on his face and his eyes and teeth are also glowing. Teeth + black (Evan’s shirt) + tears = Evan. Like, a terrible way of manifesting fear and anxiety, but hey, it fits his character.

In FNAF 3, Shadow Freddie is the one that guides the animatronics towards William, but his eyes or teeth are glowing. Maybe the other two represent Evan’s fear, and this one his violent feelings.

In FNAF 4, we can see tha shadow shiluettes of Fredbear and Springbonnie in Evan’s memories. Exactly the two animatronics that we see later on in the games and are also purple. 

If you look at Shadow Bonnie or Freddie for too long, it crashes the game or makes it go weird (Evan doesn’t like to be observed, ok?).

Shadow Balloon Boy also has gray tears, and appears when you break his minigame by going out from the box. 

Shadow Puppet appears in FNAF 3 in the crashed minigames, and do you know what it has? The gray tears, different from the original Puppet, whose tears are blue: 

All of this: the colors, the way they act, how they appear and disappear, the design, the fact that the shadows don’t hurt the player… If they’re just that: versions of the animatronics we know that represent Evan, showing us that he’s not inside of Golden Freddy, but in all the place, it would explain why you have these mysterious figures that are never explained and make the game crash. 

Other animatronics that I think represent Evan are the Nightmares. The way they act are different from the shadows, that’s true, but what if they represent the violent part of his emotions, or Evan’s resentment for his family? Then, the nightmares go from the animatronics that scared him, to being a part of him. 

Evan knows who his friends are. 

I rewatched every scare jump in Ultimate Custom Night (don’t worry I’m still sleeping at night) and it seems that there are different people talking to William depending on the type of animatronics.

For example, Ballora and Baby’s lines are more personal:

Ballora: I could hear you… breathing. Admit it, you wanted to let me in. Why do you hide inside your walls? Don’t be shy. These are strange circumstances that have brought us together. → Ballora’s song, which is also implied to be a reference to William's wife (I have another theory talking about why I think the animatronics of Sister Location represent the Afton family).

Circus Baby: Looks like something bad happened. I guess you forgot about me. I guess you forgot about me. Do you want to see the scooping room? → William losing sight of his daughter, which led to Elizabeth’s death.

Scrap Baby: Time for your controlled shock. Time for your controlled shock. Let's see how many pieces I can cut you into. You won't die, but you'll wish you could. → Another reference to Elizabeth’s death that I will explain later. 

Their messages have references to things that happened in William’s life. 

Then, you have the weird ones, that are more vengeful and obsessed with keep William in hell:

Happy Frog: We've only just begun (Only just begun), I will never let you leave,(Never let you leave), I will never let you rest (Never let you rest).

Ned Bear: This is how it feels (How it feels)  and you get to experience it over, and over, and over again, forever (And you get to experience it over, and over, and over again forever) I will never let you leave (I will never let you leave).

Orville Elephant: He tried to release you, he tried to release us, but I won't let that happen, I will keep you here, I will hold you here, no matter how many times they burn us.

These three animatronics are using “I”, and are probably “the one you shouldn’t have killed”, that it’s keeping William in hell.

And then, we have the nightmares, whose lines are different in comparison, but all of them have something in common: they make references to Evan’s death.

Nightmare BB: Come closer. Help me count my teeth. Heh-heh-heh! You're not so big. Just a bite-sized morsel. You knew I'd get you eventually. There just isn't room in here for both of us. Heh-heh-heh… Flash that light all you want. It can't save you now. → Evan used a flashlight with the nightmare animatronics. 

Nightmare: You will not be spared. You will not be saved. The shadow fears me. I am your wickedness made of flesh. I am here to claim… what is left of you. I will vomit you back... to relive your horror.

Nightmare Fredbear: Let me put you back together and then take you apart all over again. Let's see how many times you can be pulled apart. I assure you, I am very real. This time, there is more than an illusion to fear. We know who our friends are and you are not one of them. → Lines that William said to Evan before he died and a reference to Evan’s “friends”. That last line could imply that Evan now sees the nightmare animatronics as part of him, they’re now his friends. Also, this time there’s more than an illusion because this time Evan’s nightmares are real.

Nightmarionne: This is a nightmare that you won't wake from. This time, death cannot save you. The nightmare is just beginning. Let's taste death again… and again… and again. I am the fearful reflection of what you have created. → What did William create? The animatronics. What did he also create? Murder. I know he wasn’t the culprit of Evan’s death, but he was his dad, and never said a thing about Michael scaring his brother and I honestly think that the one who forgot Evan at the pizzeria was William and not Michael. He’s not the one who caused the death, but he’s still guilty. Or, at least, he’s for Evan.

Nightmare Freddy: I am remade, but not by you, by the one you should not have killed. No light can save you now. I have always been hiding in your shadow. What a gift to relish, a victim that can't perish. I am given flesh, to be your tormentor. → Here, there’s a reference to “the one you should not have killed”, but the line doesn’t use an “I”, as the weird ones. Also, another reference to Williams' words to Evan. 

There are more lines and animatronics, but these are the important ones (for now). It appears that there isn’t just one person torturing William, or, at least, that person is using multiple identities to attack him: his wife and daughter, the weird ones express the killer intent, and the nightmares are all about Evan. 

Not only that, but they also mention shadows on two occasions: they control the shadows, and they hide in them. Which is a connection to the shadow animatronics!

In addition to that, when we play Help Wanted and we got to night terrors from FNAF 4 what are the four levels: Nightmarionne (nightmare version of the Puppet), Circus Baby (Evan’s sister), Nightmare Freddy and Funtime Freddy (who I think is also connected to Evan but in a different way, because William designed the animatronic as a present for his son. Read this theory if you want a brief explanation). 

And, Scott said: What we see in the shadows is easily missunderstood in the mind of a child. Another relation with Evan and the shadows.

In conclusion: Evan dies, his soul possesses the pizzeria and his emotions (fear and agony) manifest in the form of the shadow animatronics or, in other games, the nightmares; the minigames are his memories and what he sees while possessing the pizzeria, and he’s the reason why the souls are trapped in there.

And that’s what it is in the box and why we can’t open it.

anyways since scott himself couldnt keep the timeline clear (making the prequel thing first noticeable in 2 by having pg mention a guy using the suit to lure away the kids, implying the 5 missing kids happened there and willy remastering the old animatronics was to better hide the bodies, (i actually believe this is when william, being a narcissitic butthead, decided to frame henry properly, bc he realized henry wasnt coming back) meanwhile then contradicting that later, then again, and then a third time, while also contradicting everything else for funzies, like my guy—)

heres how i do tend to have it, not entirely canon ofc but nothing is and who rly cares, but again this is my main timeline, i’ll adjust for who im writing with of course, but its the timeline i made and i follow, whether some parts are right or wrong idc, dont tell me how you dont see it that way bc this is how i see it for how i write willy, anyways

fredbears first becomes freddy fazbear is after evan gets… squished, they retired the golden suits (in public) then whole the old/new animatronics are out aka freddy foxy bonnie and chica, is when he kills charlie, and she possesses the security puppet henry made, william sees that she possessed the puppet, got ideas, bc ofc he did, but he was already working on the toy animatronics. The ‘rumors’ about freddys werent about a ton of missing kids at the time, it was about how michael went missing the same time charlie died, and michael returned a few weeks later ‘spouting nonsense’ about being kidnapped by a man in fredbears suit, because william disguised himself as henry before taking michael and putting him in his little torture chamber below the ‘warehouse’ (that eventually becomes the ‘sister location’, or ‘circus baby’s rentals’)

aka yes, william actively tormented his son, which is in fact canon (as is the hallucinagetics, and he used voiceboxes in the plushies to talk to kids/in this case bc it makes more sense to me, he thought the voice boxes in evans plushies would help evans anxiety snd ‘make him stronger’, it just.. backfired a bit) it was about a year before he killed charlie that evan died and they retired the gold suits, foxy and chica were already made for events that called for freddy’s friends, henry and william built bonnie and freddy’s main suits we know and love after retiring the golden suits; which is why freddy and bonnie look so much newer than chica and foxy do,

and charlie’s death was not on purpose. he built the the fnaf 4 location under the SL for michael AND charlie, but charlie put up a fight and he ended up killing her on accident, which is why he didnt hide the body and just left her there. but then he saw charlie possess the puppet, and he got ideas, he could pick the kids and build himself and henry the ‘perfect family’. for the spirits to possess the animatronics and hold only life, there had to be a reason, which is how he discovered remnant, and he could use that to bring evan back to him, and make him and henry live forever. and as he went more and more mad with ideas, henry got suspicious and left.

while in the fnaf 2 location, william started to realize henry was not coming back, and thats when he decided to frame henry for the murders he was going to commit. spent each day of the week luring in kids, hid their bodies in the ‘old’ animatronics, etc, we get phone guys call, the police arrested the (fired) dayshift security guard first (bc william was bad at framing) and would turn their attention to henry later. ofc mangle rips out jeremy 2’s frontal lobe and they have to shut down again, william fixes up the old animatronics, freddys reopens, etc,

thats all ill give for now bc this is long but yeah william rly got set tf off by evans death and he wasnt really a decent person before that anyways but that made him a lot more murdery and michael knows first hand bc some of his friends were willys first victims bye

Oh ok where to start?

To start, let me say: in my personal opinion the lore in fnaf is so conveluted and confusing at this point the best way to enjoy fnaf is to just cherrypick what you like. I used to have a google slides presentation but it got too long.

In the year 1987, in a small town called Hurricane Utah, a child's head got bitten off by an animatronic bear in a freindly small town dinner(Run by William Afton and Henry Emily). This was the cause of parents not watching, deadly animatronic malfunctioning, and bullying. The kid was the child of the restaurant's owner, Williams Afton. He was bullied by his older brother, Michael Afton. After the childs injury, he was sent to the infurmary where he survived for 5 nights but was truamatized by nightmares (making fnaf 4). When he died, William was at his beadside and caught a glimps of a light leaving his son's body and capturing it before it could leave.

William gained an idea to revive his son stole the body and decided to murder to try and learn more about this substance he decided to name remnant at first he killed a child who was sadly sitting out in the rain. Little did he know that the child was Henry's daughter, who had an animatronic built for her to take care of her when he was busy working. This animatornic named the Marionette (or puppet, depending on who you ask), noticed the child missing and went out in the rain to comfort her as she died. This caused the remnant to become attatched to the Marionette and the kid possed it.

Later, William realized he didn't collect the remnant and went a killin again and murdered a child named Susie by luring her to the back rooms. He collected a part of the remnant, but feeling guilty for murdering a child, he tried to kill his workers, but could not capture their remnant (these workers later became Shadow Feeddy and Shadow bony/Rwqfsfasxc [<- my fav char]). Meanwhile, the Marionette finding the body of Suise decided to give her new life by shoving the corspe inside one of the animatronics, Chica, who was possedes by Suises remaining uncollected remnant + her agony. Afton worried where the body went when he came back to clean up, shrugged it, and continued pretending to be a normal businessman.

Afton needing more remnant went on a lil murder spree during a kids birthday, killing Gabriel, Fritz, Jeremey (the first of 4 separate characters named Jeremy), Cassify and, Mike Brooks. He collected them remnant and weent to put it in jars or something. Once again, Marionette shoved their bodys in suits, and so they went in Feeddy, Bonnie, and Foxy. But they were ruining out of animatornics, so Mari shoved the other two in the decomissioned Fredbear, who still had some soul left over from when the bite victum died. (Fun fact we actually have a date for this it lands June 26, i hc still in 1987)

The nasty circumstances of the animatornics having rotting corpse in them cause the place to be shut down only for William and Henry to make a second location and use the old bots for parts. A young worker known as Jeremy Fitzgerald starts working there. While he is working, William gets a killing again, and the new animatronics all become possessed and become to hate adults because they can't identify who the killer is. Jeremy gets moved to dayshift and when the animatronics become active they bite Jeremy causing a second bite of 87. (I headcanon this is why there is so much confusion around the bite of 87, there are 2 one in spring and one in november. The stupid 1 in 100 chance of seeing a tv saying 1983 is stupud and probably just when the franchise gained a show like "fazbear and friends since 1983" or something there is so much more evidence that it should have been 1987.)

Meanwhile, William afton decided that a more streamlined method of murder would make life easier and founded Circus Baby's Pizzaworld with animatornics meant to lure children away, distract parents, and capture their bodies/remnant. This failed horribly as His daughter, Elizabeth, had wandered off from him and gotten murdered by Circus baby. William shit it down, blaming it on a gasleak, and went crazy from greif as all attempts to raise his child from the dead have failed.

My main idea for a Golden Guard/Grimwalkers au is that all of the golden guards are dead (besides hunter), and they have their own little world. It's a forest almost and a house (it's comedicly big to fit all of the grimwalkers) All of them are just chilling in their huge house and maybe one day hunter 'dies' or has a near death experience and finds it

And then one day Philip/Belos dies. He finds it and all of the previous grimwalkers+wittebro+wittewife are all traumatized and ready to fight

Welcome to my slightly crack theory, i dont really believe this but i still thought it was cool

Remember this guy? Looks like the collector (we kinda established that a while ago) but it doesn't look quite like ours, you know the eclipse sun/moon chaotic child. This one seemed more... mature? If that makes sense? Nothing about being bored, wanting games, or anything (if he did and I didn't catch it let me know!) Also, he's so tall??? For being a child (in kings tide he was about luz's height or shorter in the top photo he's super tall. So what am I getting at here? I think I have an answer to the question everyone's been wondering. Does the collector have parents? I think it's a Ranboo situation. A sun-themed god and a moon-themed god had a chaotic child and possibly couldn't take care of it, or something happened and the Collector was alone.
