Poster for "THE DAYS", dir. Nakata Hideo & Nishiura Masaki
At 2:46 p.m. on 11 March, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of 7 (recorded at Kurihara-cho, Miyagi prefecture) struck approximately 130 kilometers off the Sanriku coast. One hour after this earthquake shook the islands of Japan, a 15-meter-tall tsunami swallowed up the Fukushima nuclear power plant in an instant. But that was only the start of the nightmare. With its cooling function lost, the power plant fell into a dangerous and uncontrollable state.
Over the course of eight episodes, this multi-layered drama faithfully captures a disastrous incident from three different perspectives based on careful research. "What happened there on that day?" This story seeks to answer this question based on the true events of seven intense days from the perspectives of government, corporate organizations, and the people on site risking their lives.
This series is developed and produced by Jun Masumoto, who crafted massive hits such as the "Code Blue" series while also delivering powerful social drama series such as "Shiroi Kyoto" series and "Hadashi no Gen." The two directors of this series are Masaki Nishiura, who has worked alongside Masumoto for many years as the director of the "Code Blue" series, and Hideo Nakata of the "Ring" series.
The Netflix Series starts streaming in 2023. Only on Netflix

Cale’s magical abilities unlock their true potential, giving him a magic that can do anything from changing his clothes to rewriting reality.
However, this can only occur during the night, and drains much of his energy!
Request From the Moon
A letter remains locked in a chest…
Hello there, my old friend.
I’m sorry for what I have done, and how I’ve left you, but my circumstances leave me no choice. My job as a guardian to the celestials has no place for a child.
So I have a favor: Please, take care of Caelestis.
I fear the evils of the world may harm him one day, if I bring him with me. Not to mention, Caelestis has already been showing extreme potential in holding the moon’s energy. If he was exposed to the horrors of a warrior’s life, the universe itself could be damned to a destructive fate.
If this was any other child, I would have given them to another person, another caretaker, but I know of no one that has a greater, more kind heart than your own. And if there’s something I want more than anything, it’s for my child to live a normal life with a family that can truly cherish him.
So please, Solana, take care of my son, that is all I ask.

Ishura was going to be a bit of a challenging anime to get right. Its well-woven and descriptive action in the novel would be difficult for a rough production to cover. The constant shift of perspectives and the slow pace at the beginning would likely make it hard to adapt. Now, we'll have to wait to see the latter part, but as for the action? I think they did a pretty damn good job.
I'm literally in school for computer animation, so I have nothing against CG, but in anime, they tend to be admittedly hit or miss. Even from the trailer, especially in specific cases like Shalk (skeleton bro), I could tell it was going to be pretty good. However, a lot of the shots of the golem in the PVs, I wasn't an extremely huge fan of, but they really do blend in a lot better than I expected in the actual episode.
I think it's mostly because of the way they did it; our 2D characters kinda look shiny themselves, they sorta have a 3D shading look to them. While opinions on this will be mixed, I think it was smart to seemingly work the other way around—getting the characters to blend in with the 3D models. It really does allow the show to have a more cohesive look, and I believe the 3D models/animation will save them from production issues later on.
I actually enjoyed this premiere significantly more than its light novel counterpart. I feel like it gave me a better liking to Sojirou, who, in my opinion, had the weakest introduction chapter by far. Seeing his excellent voice acting by Yuuki Kaji and all the mannerisms executed so well really sell his 'I don't really give a shit' attitude that greatly infuriates Yuno. I'm very excited to see more.
It would be very curious to see if the action can keep up. The episode was directly boarded by the chief director, Takeo Takahashi who did an amazing job here, but I'm doubtful that he will return just because he has Spice and Wolf to manage April of this year. So we'll have to see how the action flow without him. I'm eager to know the episode count because there's no way they can keep up with this one-episode-per-introduction pace unless it's a 2-cour series. Either way, I enjoyed the debut episode a lot as a light novel reader, and I'll be here next week for more.

[REVIEW] Prince Complex: Dakenai Kare & Dasakatta Kare
Another review for another otome drama cd I listen!
Prince Complex: Dakenai Kare (プリンスコンプレックス・抱けないカレ)
This drama cd is quite cute on the first half then it went downhil on the end haha In the beginning our lover who’s a popular prince hotel concierge won’t ever sleep with us, he made a lot of excuses until we muster a courage to ask WHY- it turns out he have complex. People expect him to behave like a perfect human being like a price but the truth his normal person, he’s not a prince and when people break their expectation they got let down and broke up with him.
He also easily gets aroused which he have nosebleed when both of you make out lmao.
After the misunderstanding, we assure our prince complex lover that we will not leave him and love him for who they are and he began to be bolder lol I told you for straight 4 tracks was making out haha there was a time where he was cute wanting to have sex fidgeting around to ask us. IT WAS CUTEEEEE!!!
But it goes downhill, when you’re going to party for newbie then he got jealous and reveal his possessiveness and kinda forced you to have sex with him. He even made the glass broke coz he was angry which made me shock too Then after the deeds he noticed we actually have a fever and apologize to us.
What’s even worse, he ran away because he was ashamed of what he did to us and afraid what he could do more in the future so he ran away and sleep at nearby hotel lmao but of course as usual as we a lover forgive and we got back each other.
If you bought on the DLsite it has a free talk tokuten by the seiyuu and how I miss freetalk T.T wish each CD have free talk. Yamanaka Masahiro-san talk about the drama CD which the protagonist is selfish and spoiled because who will run away after you do bad things? Which made me realize as listening to him haha So, guys and gal, it’s a short CD that won’t take much up your time and funny cute so recommend!
Prince Complex: Dasakatta Kare (プリンスコンプレックス・ダサかったカレ)
This drama cd prince has a complex of being uncool when he was high school and you are his classmate. He was now a president and business owner which you have a part time job.
I don’t quite remember why you have many part time job as you need money for something. In the end you end up with each other.
I don’t remember this CD because of my goldfish memory and I was doing something which made me not focus on listening so vaguely remember it. I listened to it 2 weeks ago. orz..
This is actually fun where the protagonist tsukomi and you maybe have little giggles. It’s also been a while since I listen to Fukushima Jun and he’s kansai dialect is good as usual tho a little bit noisy haha Still recommend this CD!
REVIEW | "Isekai Quartet The Movie -Another World-" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade
There’s a solid formula that’s found in Isekai Quartet. While its premise is simple — taking popular characters from isekai series and have them go to school together — the humor can be stellar thanks to its no-holds-barred jabs at the characters’ respective properties. Naturally, a movie adaptation of this series should result in big laughs and an entertaining narrative, right? Well…about that. I have a question for Isekai Quartet The Movie -Another World-: Why so serious?
Continuing where Season 2 left off, the casts of KonoSuba, Overlord, Re:Zero, Saga of Tanya the Evil, and The Rising of the Shield Hero are still dealing with their school surroundings. Suddenly, Ainz Ooal Gown (Satoshi Hino) is pulled into a wormhole, with the rest of the school following behind. Soon Ainz and Kazuma (Jun Fukushima) find themselves with a mysterious girl, one who wears a very familiar military uniform. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast come face-to-face with a strange robot with a chunibyo personality.
Like quite a few isekai series, the premise of Another World has all of the characters trying their best to find their way home. (Which home, specifically, is not revealed until the end.) Much of the movie attempts to put its muscle into the characters and how they interact with one another. In some cases, it works, especially when Kazuma and Ainz are together and trying to assist newcomer Vera (Nana Mizuki) with her plan.
Paripi Koumei wasn’t on my list, but I just binged all 6 eps that are out so far, AND I LOVED IT!!
I must thank ChibaSho, because he’s part of the cast and I kept seeing him tweeting about it so I got curious.
The OP is SO GOOD!!?? Giving me old Eurovision songs vibes, I love it so much, it’s so catchy! I tend to skip OPs and EDs unless I really enjoy them, and THIS OP - I’m never skipping, it’s just so so good! (EDIT: thanks @nighty-amy, the song I was thinking about was Sash! - Ecuador. I’ll sleep good tonight knowing I wasn’t imagining the OP sounded like something I knew XD)
The whole OST is really great! I love the old Chinese music at some parts and the tunes that kinda resemble PotC!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Fukushima Jun using such a low voice as the Owner. I’m used to his higher/shounen voice, so that was a surprise! (I actually realized it’s him only because I remembered seeing a photo of the cast and he was there, so I connected the dotes xD Only later I checked out MAL).
Okiayu as Kongming is freaking AWESOME!! I just love his voice, he suits this character so much! Also, Kongming is such an ikemen!! *__*
That’s awesome hearing him rapping, and ChibaSho too! Both of them are in Paradox Live as well~
Talking about ChibaSho - his character is cute and his rap is awesome!
I’m glad I have another anime to watch this season ^___^
