sorry for the mini hiatus! spring hit and i had to do some frolicking, but, unfortunately, it is lock-in season

had my last gender and health seminar today! talked about aging and menopause and how the health system will always pathologize women for simply living

got lunch with my usual wednesday crew! there was also a little farmer's market today, so i bought some apples and brussel sprouts

went to the library to study for my human physiology test next week (yikes omg i'm scared)

had my sociology lecture! fun stuff about how science never will be objective and is unfortunately (?) carried out by humans

had an interview for a program i'm applying for next year omg it was so scary but i tried my best!

went home and cooked brussel sprouts and pasta because self care

working on more human phys revision and also mcat revision

messy morning desk / audio mixing between classes

morning class was canceled, so i had a nice breakfast of toast + hot honey in the morning

went to office hours for my research course to talk about my topic, it was super clarifying and helpful, and i’m excited to dive into it

had a class at noon, which was the discussion section for my sociology class

discussed my topic in my actual research course, and the initial feedback from people in the class was really encouraging, they seemed interested in it, and a few people even started talking about their personal connections to the topic, which is super exciting

went to ballet class (my first one back this semester)!

icky mental health hit me like a truck at the end of the day, so taking it easy and giving myself a treat

friendly reminder that masking in public is an act of love!!

woke up sooo late, but i was having a really weird dream that i can't remember the specifics of, but tom holland was in it as the antagonist

leftover sushi from last night for lunch while i finished a 75-question pset for physiology

went to choir practice for the cultural show i'm gonna be part of

sunday reset! went grocery shopping and am washing my sheets

now slogging away at the endless readings for my other classes

designated excel wrangler of my lab group / an abundance of flower

andddd we're back! posting this on 19 march bc my scheduled post didn't post as scheduled

getting back into it after spring break and then hell week for my ballet performance, balancing a need to rest and an unrelenting to-do list

my mom was in town for the weekend, so i got breakfast with her before going to work

got a couple of people enrolled in my study at work but also my computer decided to stop working so i'm on a loaner now

bio lab! was a long one today, but i got to work on all of the excel stuff and making graphs which i love, so that was a bit of fun for me

ended up skipping my sociology lecture because i was having a terrible afternoon, but the rest was good for me, and i was able to accomplish a few things

taught a dance practice for my cultural show!

finished a couple more readings before going to bed

went with a friend to chinatown for lunar new year festivities!

came home and did laundry and deep cleaned most of my apartment (still have to mop the floors)

organized planner for next week and finished reading a chapter for physiology

i am stressed :/ so many things to do, not enough time in the day, but telling myself that stressing about it is not productive, the only thing that will make it better is to just keep doing the damn things

early morning readings / evening in the stacks

woke up at 5am this morning to finish the readings for a paper i had due at 5pm, and i gotta say that procrastination kicked my ass

finished the readings and started outlining my paper before my bio lab at noon

we did a renal function lab, which meant we had to pee in a cup every 30 minutes and test it, kind of a gross lab overall since it wasn't super sterile, and the whole room smelled like pee

went home after and finished my paper!

went to my sociology lecture, talking about genetic testing, which was super cool

had a dance practice for my cultural show in two weeks, finished choreographing and teaching the dance!

spent the rest of the night finishing readings for my seminars tomorrow

had about three hours of dance rehearsals for different shows that i'm in, soooo tired

it continued raining which made walking around miserable

i got an A on the paper i turned in last month for this class, and the prof emailed me beforehand to ask if she could use it as a model paper, which was so so exciting, i love academic validation

got tacos with a friend after class!

went to my sociology seminar and continued learning about genetic ancestry testing

went to the library to start working on my first draft of my capstone paper due next week

had two hours of dance rehearsal for my cultural show next weekend!
