continuing on with revamping my desk, i picked up a desk mat because i honestly hate looking at the ugly water stains on my desk. i realised the hard way that i gotta stop putting pressed foliage in my journal 🥲

Friendly reminder that if you used to go to Church or a Christian school as a kid, but did not continue to study or grow your faith as you got older, than - no, you actually don't understand Christianity on the same level as a practicing adult believer.
I'm tired of hearing people dismiss the Christian faith and say 'well, I went to church as a kid, so I know what you believe'. That's the same as saying, 'my parents took my to the aquarium every week as a kid, so I know as much as your average marine biologist'.
If you're going to brag about how much knowledge you have about Christianity anyway, you should at least try not to say it on posts where you get things blatantly wrong about the Bible, the Church or- idk- the core message of the Gospel.
how many books can i read in these last two months of 2023 or, i remembered there was a classics challenge i wanted to do 80% into the year. i don't know if re-reads count, but i've gone for two Wildes that were due for a revisit. this takes care of two prompts of the tackle your classics challenge:
A play: The Importance of Being Earnest
A book titled after the protagonist: The Picture of Dorian Gray
also, it's starting to get cold it's starting to rain. hot chocolate season has officially started so this will be me until february
Relationship(s): Edelgard von Hresvelg/Byleth Eisner
Words: 11.5k (2 chapters out of, theoretically, 3)
There's a new professor of the Black Eagles house, but it's not the one Edelgard and Hubert had planned to take on the role—and to make matters worse, Edelgard knows her. She could never forget her, or a single moment of that hot summer night when they met in Enbarr.
Worst of all, the professor doesn't seem to remember Edelgard.
AU in which Byleth and Edelgard meet by chance a few months before the start of White Clouds.
finished my 100% replay of mm!! went through 14 cycles because i messed up with timing on some quests but i’ll incorporate that into link’s canon, why not. ~42 days altogether, 85% of them spent with little to no sleep just working and getting to know everyone and adding some more Identity Issues on top of the ones gained from hyrule…sweet more than bitter ending though, i can’t believe how much i missed this game 😭😭
I honestly can't wait to get back to uni, I don't know what I'm gonna do for the rest of the holidays... I've really gotta have my nose to the grindstone this year and especially this semester so I got some physical textbooks and revamped my desk a bit to motivate me.

8th January 2024 (tumblr deleted my blog again. why do you make me suffer, dearest website? third time's the charm, i hope)
Hello everyone! I go by Zee on tumblr, and this is my studyblr account. I have gone by several URLs in the past three years, from mellowacademia to septemberstudies, and also somehow deleted my old account. Tragic.
So now I return to the community, hoping to keep old friends and make new ones!
Now, for my introduction: I’m a high school student from north India, and my fields of interest are animation, graphic design and architecture. As you could guess, I sketch every free moment I get. I’m also a writer and photography enthusiast. And I really, really like cats.
Over the next two years I will be studying English, physics, chemistry, mathematics and computer science.
Also, my main account is @zeeistrying, so feel free to head over there if you’d like
I think that’s all there is to say about me, now to honour some of my favourite folks this side of the internet:
People can make fun of Taylor’s dance moves, song intros, scripted little movements all. they. want. She has what most performers and entertainers don’t have but wish they did!!
anon who sent vod recs THANK YOU also i will watch anyone p much i just speak less french than any other language but i'm still perfectly willing to watch vods it's just a bit harder for me to understand them
tu.lin has definitely tried using the whole sage business to self-aggrandise himself above things he doesn't want to do before ( not because he genuinely doesn't want to do them or anything. it just doesn't seem like a good use of his time as the sage of wind, y'know? he takes this job veeery seriously and is more responsible now, even if he only pulls this shit on the chores he is notoriously infamous for avoiding in the past — which is just a coincidence btw! he's grown past that, he swears!! ), but sa.ki and te.ba shut that down pretty quickly
like "oh, the sage of wind has no time to be a flockling who cleans out our aerie even though it was his agreed turn of the cycle? well, clearly he has no time to be a nestling who receives hugs from us either" and it gets tu.lin every time dlkfjkd
on serious reflection, though — beyond these instances and him running his beak off about his adventure with li.nk to his friends and the other villagers immediately after resolving the whole thing with colgera, once the novelty wears off, i don't think he actually sincerely says much about being a sage unprompted. it's not humility per se, he just doesn't see a point in addressing it if nobody asks ( and is more than happy to answer, otherwise ). in an ironic twist of events, he's got better things to do with his time than puff himself up over sagehood slfkjdf
it's due to a quiet sort of confidence, yeah, but also just...a nebulous understanding of his purpose as a sage. while he recognises his responsibilities as a flockmember and the eldest child of the elder ( which holds weight in terms of any impressions he makes of his family rather than any real emphasis on bloodlines ), he's still figuring out what being the sage of wind could mean for his people outside of being there for li.nk when he needs it/the whole of hyrule when it needs him — the full severity of which still kind of eludes him, honestly.
