His face doesn’t change, but his eyes are shining with emotions.

So in awe, so curious, so mesmerized.

His other hand moves to your other cheek.

His hands are massive compared to you.

But he holds you like you’re made of glass.

You close your eyes tightly, his face inches away from yours.

Only to slowly open them when his forehead touches yours.

His eyes flash with a new emotion.

You aren’t sure what it is as you’re quickly met with soft excitement.

Is, is he purring? Humans can do that?

The strange man nuzzles his cheek against yours.

It’s like he’s…scenting you?

He’s no threat, but you’re so confused, you’re at a lost on what to do.

He’s so sweet.

But will that change if you try to leave? You need to head back to the village and report to Laventon.

But would he let you?

You don’t know what got him so affectionate all of a sudden, but you don’t want to cause a problem. The last thing you need is something else trying to kill your here.

so, your name is Ai? Is that a cultural thing, or did you pick it yourself? Just wondering.

I picked it myself during my middle school year. It was the name of my self insert OC of this Azumanga Daioh-esque comic I drew starring other self insert OCs of my other friends as well (they loved the comic btw)

During high school, I decided to make a deviantart account and used this OC name because I can't think of any. And then I started my digital art journey on 2009 and since then has landed myself on some gigs (official merch for the only Miku Expo Indonesia 2014 and recently some illustrations for song cover for Hololive ID). And by this time it's too late to change name lmao (I've grown to it and quite like it myself)

Culturally, in Japanese it means "love" 🌸
