Okay. Accidentally deleted the post I was supposed to edit, but here we are. Screenshot of OG post is in RBs, by the way.
I wanna start by saying I personally don't mind non-disordered/endogenic/etc to use the term system. I'm just here to give a substitute and why. Also a few extra things, because I like writing.
So, we aren't 100% sure if system is a medical term or not because of the amount of mixed information, so let's say it is for simplicity sake. If someone can provide linked sources, it'd be appreciated!
Now, I've seen a few systems and plurals agree that the term system is medical and/or defined as "a system of dissociated parts". It makes sense as DID/OSDD are dissociative disorders and is a medical condition. So, something medical applied to something medical.
We haven't seen a good non-medical substitute for it, unlike the term alter with its many variations. Why isn't there one for system?
We could use "junction" as a substitute, as it's defined as 'a point where two or more things are joined'. I don't think it's been used in the medical field when talking about DID/OSDD, so it's not medical. I personally think it could work.
Another thing about having the substitute term is those who see system as a medical term to use it when referring to those whose plurality is non-medical, or their own! Because saying "my plural" is kind of weird, huh? There are other ways to say it, but having the term makes it easier from my view. A win-win situation!
A problem that can arise is some people claiming it as a medical term, when it is not. The thing we can do is emphasize the absence of its usage in the context.
A substitute can lessen the arguing about the usage of system too. Both parties get what they want and need.

ahhh they're so squishy and huggable ahhh <3 I'm sorry for my impatience; please be sure to put your work life and rest first! I adore your artwork but I can be a little too excitable sometimes (particularly when I am up late haha) Keep doing what you're doing; I'm looking forward to seeing more book moments spring to life through your drawings :D ~meg
Squishy hobbits are the best hobbits. Very therapeutic to draw. ^u^
No worries! It makes me happy to know that people are excited about my art. I just won’t pass up an opportunity to tease my friends. ;-P I’m impatient to get to Merry’s scene too, but I know that I’m not gonna be able to draw anything I’m proud of while I’m exhausted and achy. Quality over quantity, and all that.
(I work the closing shift at a restaurant, so that’s a lot of physical work, running around cleaning things and putting chairs on tables and stuff. You don’t wanna know how bad my shoulders and arms were hurting when I woke up this morning, and arms and shoulders are kiiiinda what I need for drawing, so that’s a problem, LOL)
One of these days I’ll have time to just chill and do a bunch of doodles instead of the long comics, and then there won’t be delays like this, but until then I just want to keep everybody updated with what’s going on with me and why the art is taking a while. I know I don’t owe y’all anything—it’s not like I’m getting paid for this ;-P—but I love you guys and I don’t want to take your patience for granted.
So yeah! I’ll take care of myself as best I can, and the art will come out when the art comes out!

Did I pull an all nighter only for my heart to get ripped out and crushed into a million pieces? Yes. Yes I did. Was it worth it? Absolutely it was.

Finally managed to make a Carrd!
We had to switch devices just to open the sign-up page. But after some hard work and lost napping opportunities, it's finally done.

Checking out other Quest AUs as I wait for my will to come back to continue with Inky Mystery.
(The conflict has not let down yet and I’m starting to feel dread)
Anyway, go check out this neato retell of the og Quest story by @thequestfortheinkmachinecomics. The characters’ designs are nicely touched up, their personalities seems more natural now, the art is really cool and oh no, I’ve run out of juice for words… I just know that this retell will be good so I’ll be on along for this ride.

"But whatever the case, Neuvillette really is devoid of selfish want. Indeed, he is a person most impartial."
Until it comes to you.
Until you invade his every thought; occupying his mind every second of every day. Until even that isn't enough, and he finds you in his dreams. At least there he can make you his.
At least in those moments, pressed between the breathing room before the next meeting or in the late evening hours when the Palais has long closed for the day, he can allow himself this selfishness.
Take himself in hand (would you touch him the same way?), murmur your name in the empty air of his office (would you say his just as reverently? As sweetly as you always do?); bask for a moment in his afterglow before that bitter tang of shame rises like bile at the sight of the mess on his hand.
You'd reject him, surely, if you knew just how much he desired you. He's convinced himself of this fact. And so he remains impartial on the surface. He wears the countenance of Chief Justice and performs his duties just the same as he always has.
But here, where he can indulge in the mere idea of having you, taking you in the most intimate of ways, claim you for his own...he gives in to that selfishness he's so devoid of.
