CWs: bit of insecurity talk, but it's mostly reassurance talk and fluffy times!

Summary: The aftermath of Guzma and Whisp's first date has some unexpected tag alongs. For Day 1 of Selfshiptember, first date!

The silence walking along the path was very loud, Guzma could say. 

"Sooo," he started, untangling a stray stick from his hair,"not the worst date I've eva' been on!" 

A small embarrassed groan was all he got as a response. Whisp was trudging along Guzma's right side and looking like they'd love to disappear into the collar of his sweater. A sweet looking Appletun was chilling in Whisp's arms, its stubby tail wagging happily. 

Guzma had a plan for just Whisp and him to walk through one of the larger Pokémon reserves on Ula'ula Island. It was still pretty small, but he knew it would be a perfect place to take Whisp on their first official date. 

Being able to see the groves changing leaves and the Pokemon preparing for the seasonal changes - no matter how small they were in alola - was sure to warm the daycare runner to Guzma. 

Guzma had planned for everything and nothing was going to ruin it! 

Well, nothing that he couldn't plan for anyway. The Pumpkaboo currently resting in his own arms was definitely not something he could've predicted. 

Whisp tugged a leaf free from their own hair. They twisted it in their hand for a few minutes, building courage and took a deep breath. 

Guzma winced, shifting Pumpkaboo closer, almost as a shield. This was where Whisp for sure never wanted to go on another date. 

"I'm..I'm sorry.." 

Guzma startled, turning slightly to fully look at them,"uh, what?" 

Whisper's cheeks were bright red and he seemed to bury further into his sweater at Guzma's full attention being on him. His eyes were planted firmly on Appletun as he tucked the scrap of cloth keeping it warm around the content Pokémon. 

"I'm sorry for, you know, ruining the date, I just s-saw these two in the grove, a-and they're not regionally native and there were no signs for them s-so..," Whisp gave a helpless shrug as their voice faltered. 

Guzma could only really stare at him. The two stowaways were unexpected but did Whisp really blame himself?  

"Wha- huh? Doll, ya ain't gotta apologize," Guzma stopped and rested his hand on Whisp's shoulder, stopping them in their tracks as well. Pumpkaboo shifted in Guzma's arms, it's curl brushing Whisp's cheek and gave a reassuring trill. 

"These two probably got carted here accidentally or as some jerk poachers meal ticket, yeah?" Whisp nodded in agreement. Guzma wasn't too well read on the subject but he knew enough that it wasn't uncommon for people to ferry pokemon across region borders, no matter how harmful it could be to the natural region. 

"Now did I expect this date to end with ya' practically divin' through bushes after two wild pokemon? No. Did I expect to be crawling through mud on a first date? Not a chance," Guzma shrug, throwing Whisp a wide almost feral grin ,"Did that stop me from followin' along after ya' and helping, hoping to impress ya just little bit? Ha! In your dreams!"  

Whisp jolted, slightly taken aback, before a wide smile finally broke out across their face. They giggled, clutching Appletun tightly, who gave a small huff at the manhandling. 

Guzma felt himself practically melt. He hoped to hear their laugh as often as he could. 

"Bit of a callback to our first meeting huh?" 

"Oh, definitely, Doll! Besides," Guzma reached behind their ear, pulling a stray leaf from Whisp's hair,"ya look real cute crawlin' outta a bush while wrestlin' a nearly feral pokemon in your arms. I practically coulda married you right there"

Guzma grinned proudly as Whisp's cheeks almost flared red again. 

It wasn't the perfect first date he had planned, but Guzma felt like he could call this one a complete success.

Body Moves * Who from your selfship dances the best? Is it something reserved for special occasions, or something you do together casually?

Guzma DEFINITELY dances better than me. I mean, have you SEEN that promotional Team Skull TCG video?! Guzma is a damn MONSTER in that! N-not that I'm complaining, of course, that was so sexy of him O//////O And uhhh, he does train me, I headcanon that Guzma and Plumeria teach the Skull Grunts to dance like that and I gotta be on his level to help them, too! So we have private dance lessons, him and I ;3

Blown * Does anyone in your selfship tend to play hard to get? Even while dating? Was there something you or they did that blew your mind when you realised one of you liked the other?

Playing hard to get just doesn't happen, Guzma takes consent and getting permission to do anything seriously, not to mention he knows I hate unsolicited physical contact unless I really really REALLY trust someone and know them. I might tease Guzma about sex but it's just to build tension that's gonna be relieved later~ ;3 Guzma was DUMB. FOUNDED when I told him I liked him for his personality, he literally never thought he'd get another girl after Plumeria, he thought he was beyond being loved again like that. So, after I start flirting back at him, he gets all doubtful, his chest and face warm as he fantasises about him and I together, hoping that it might be because I'm into him but he also doubts himself. That's what prompts him into asking me out on the stargazing date that leads to the full confession and the officialization of our relationship <3

Selfshiptember Day 1 - First Meeting

Slowly trying to catch up on selfshiptember !

Here's whisper's and guzma's first meeting, guzma was walking around the roads to blow off steam when whisper crawled out of the nearby bushes carrying a wurmple. Guzma was understandably confused and struck up conversation and they bonded over their love of bug pokemon !

Pokemon character x reader fanfic for art trade?

Ayo. It's ya boy Honey. There's a lot of you's who like my writing. Get you feeling nice and buttered up with your favorite Pokemon Boys and reader insert. We're close to two hundred followers. Never thought or expected this much love and appreciation for a goofball writer like me but I'm happy that I can make part of your day, a little bit brighter even if what I write is silly stuff.

This blog started initially as self indulgent since well, the character x reader content is usually catered with a female audience in mind. Had no idea it'd get this many followers.

Just wanted to say that I appreciate you all for following and give back some of that love by doing an art trade with you's.

Not sure how many I can get to, but as a winter holiday present to the followers of this blog, let's do a little gift exchange. I'll write a story of Pokemon x OC (your specific OC).

The rules on my blog still apply to this, don't go asking for things I don't like but depending on what you're offering to trade, I'll write YOUR OC x character content. You give me a scenario, characters, and setting and I'll see what I come up with.

As a one time exception, I'll even bust the rules down to let our lady readers have their female OC represented here. But bear in mind that this is a TRADE. We're doing a little gift exchange.

I'll write something that I consider fair to the art trade. My request is pretty simple. Draw a picture of my boys: Guzma and Honey. Ref art is under the read more. Whatever your art skill is, I wanna see it, share it, and then eat it. (jk)

Pokemon Games Ranked by How Much I Can Scream About Them

Sun/Moon and Ultra: Lusamine worst parent 5ever. *screeches like an angry cat at that scene where Lusamine tries to ensnare Hau while planning 5000 fanfics revolving around it* Gladion deserves better- always. USUM ruined the original story because *insert thesis statement here*. It's yA BOY GUZMA! Team Skull and the bus stop- perfection. Hau and Gladion need to interact more please it funni. Mimikyu!!!

Scarlet/Violet: I didn't expect to cry over Sandwich Boy and his parental abandonment. And SICK DOG! I played out of order for Sick Dog. Team Star made me an emotional wreck. Motorcycle lizard cute! The three rivals interacting is Great. Clueless rich girl Nemona with Trauma Boy and Tumblrina Hacker is Great. Best Elite Four in the series. Why are you so glitchy you're beautiful.

Black/White and 2: Ghetsis worst father 5ever. Best protag designs. Probably autistic ponytail boy. Pokestar Studios is underrated and I will die on that hill. The Pokemon are the coolest reskins ever but the monkeys suck. Please power past early game it's GOOD.

Colosseum/XD: First Pokemon game! The weirdest first battles ever. GO cannot comprehend this level of Shadow Pokemon. The whole thing is grindy but so DENSE. Also MIROR B! I like both Wes and Michael. They appeal to the side of me that likes edgelords and the side that likes shonen protags.

Sword/Shield: Hop is good and needs hugs. Leon is my FAVORITE Champion. I wouldn't revisit ten years in the future but those tWO IDIOTS. I could read into their self esteem issues for HOURS.

Red/Green and Remakes: Gotta give credit to the first game, Red is iconic, and the Pokemon designs are generally good. But I'm not likely to babble about it. I could debate Mewtwo origins between media though.

Legends Arceus: Fuck your plot and potato mochi. I just want a four foot Bidoof. Although the Noble Hisuian Arcanine story is The Lion King and made me cry.

Diamond/Pearl and Remakes: MINDY! MUD/SNOW! TRAINER TRAPS! FORCED CONTESTS! But you could do fun shit with Action Replay.

Ruby/Sapphire and Remakes: 7/10 too much water. But it has a really cool Pokedex.

X/Y: Only ranks this high because of Furfrou and the ultimate weapon lore.

Gold/Silver and Remakes: A few cool Pokemon. ... *de le lelele whoooop*

i am a very fanart focused person LOL but that doesn't stop me from drawing self inserts i am by no means against all that

i do have ocs i just don't totally focus on drawing or expanding any story with them unless they're like supposed to fit into another media like sdv to be super specific

for example, my stardew valley oc thea is the one i tend to draw the more backstory for that i'm still working on but it involves a love triangle and childhood trauma involving her late older sister

then there's kahlani, my pokemon oc that grew from a self insert (for guzma) into an actual character who i usually never draw without guzma xp she's originally from alola, moves to unova, and then back to alola with hau (who i have made her nephew x) )

but i do have like total original ocs that i've had since like 2016, Erin and Dmitri

these two at this point in time are pretty much married and living together and have been best friends since childhood (ps erin is trans!)
