A/N: yay I did this finally it's out of my notes Woohoo! Idk when this idea came into my brain but it did and I couldn't stop thinking about it so now it's here. For my loves @chlorinecake and @astraystayyh they are my Hyunjins
Song rec: love by Wave to Earth
The weight of the world on your shoulders.
You had often heard that phrase as a child. It was ridiculous, initially.
The world can't possibly weigh that much.
You were the smartest in your class, you knew the multiplication tables by the time you were five, the capitals of the world by eight, and by fifteen, the weight of nothing but your own shoulders dragged you behind everyone.
University was an easy affair, that's what you told everyone. Someone's got to keep up the smart girl, book child status up right?
Studies were easy, just understand it, write it down better. Yet, fuck, you could feel the words fading by, was it a stalactite or a stalagmite?
Graduation was easy, you were peaking and nothing was in your way!
Then you realised something.
The world did weigh too much.
Everyone weighed too much.
Your mind weighed greater than your heart, something you fought off for eons now.
And diamonds are formed under pressure, but hadn't you learnt that diamonds turn into graphite every now and then too?
You were so smart as a child, what happened?, You wished ever so fervently that you could tell them that you weren't a child anymore.
No longer the child that thought the only thing that she needed to do to be loved was to get a good grade off her papers.
Or was that love starved part of you still inside?
"Rough day, love?"
Love. It was the nickname you most adored. Lucky for you nicknames were Hyunjin's personal favourite job.
"Fuck..." You swore softly, immediately collapsing onto your couch, and wrapping yourself into the warm cocoon that was your boyfriend's arms. You swore you would become a butterfly from your current catterpillar state one day.
The gruesome world always seemed to calm down on its axis of rotation as soon as you reached Hyunjin's touch. As if he was the petals of honeydew calming down the speed of a hummingbird. Would you have been the overactive bird rushing around to cater to the needs of everyone around her?
You could hear your own heartbeat in the moments of silence, when the dust seemed to still and the winds seemed to wait, eavesdropping on conversations old and new. The hauntedness of the thumping sound made you shiver.
The tightness around your throat felt tighter by the moment, like an invisible rope hanging round it. Your heart felt too heavy too for some reason. It's a heart, you tried to convince yourself, you need it to live. But you knew that you could rip it out of your chest at this moment, and you would still keep living on. But did you really have to-
"Want to talk about it, love?"
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
A loud sob ripped through the thick air, coating the curtains of the atmosphere in a blueish paint that seemed to have rotted inside it's bucket far too long. Hyunjin was quick to bury your head further into his chest.
You know you smell really comforting?, that went on in his mind, the thing you said on your first cuddle session, in which, he remembered fondly, you described his scent a bit further than most people usually did.
Broken strings of words escaped your lips, I'm sorry—im so sorry! Guilt always flowed through your veins whenever anything like this happened.
But Hyunjin understood, he always understood. And fuck, you both hated and loved that he understood.
One hand lay on the back of your head, while his other caressed your back, rubbing circles on it. As if a magical void would appear and take all your problems away.
Hyunjin was your magical void.
"Can you talk to me?" Hyunjin asked quietly. He felt you shake your head against his shoulder, causing him to tighten his hold on you.
"It's going to be okay love. I promise you."
Another wave of tears surged through you, nearly making you double over at the rush of fresh emotions popping off in your brain, your jaw tensing as you tried to stifle the illegible babbling falling from your lips.
Hyunjin's words in your ear and his hand rubbing ribbons of comfort onto your back made you catch your breath, and slow down. Silence rose once you had stopped crying, you felt even more tired now and you had to admit, Hyunjin was a nice pillow.
The occasional sniffle and tired breath from you, broke Hyunjin's heart even more. He hated seeing you cry, so much so, he'd always distract you if he ever sensed you were in a depressed mood. Even if there were times that you poured your entire heart out of him in tears, he'd always shed his own tears in private, sometime later.
"Love?"
"Hmm?"
"Want me to run you a bath?"
"With the candles and everything?" You managed to say in a quiet, exhausted voice. Your throat was tired from all the crying.
"With the candles and everything." Hyunjin smiled down at you, pushing back stray strands of your hair behind your ear, "Can we go up to the bedroom, love? Can we do that?"
He was speaking so softly to you, and it was making you want to sob rivers again.
Silently nodding, you felt yourself droop down all over again as soon as Hyunjin got you up, strong arm wrapped around your waist, hugging you to his side.
Pressing a sweet kiss to the side of your head, Hyunjin started with shuffling moments upto the bedroom, which you followed, not even being able to lift your head up from the pure exhaustion.
Sitting on the bed felt like you were hung down by iron nails, while Hyunjin prepared the bath for you. Even a moment without him felt down, and even if it was a bit dramatic , you were willing to admit it.
"Hands up?" Hyunjin looked at you softly, taking off your shirt for you and discarding it in the empty laundry basket, "You did the laundry yesterday? Wow, I'm proud of you baby."
You let out a breathy giggle at his words. Hyunjin somehow always knew every word in the instruction manual of how to make you laugh.
"Is the temp alright?"
You couldn't get yourself to say yes so you hummed what seemed to have been a 'yes'. Your throat was raw, and your face was congested as well as your chest. You sounded like you swallowed a frog, and the frog was also now sick and subsequently congested.
The water truly didn't have any texture or temperature to it when you got into it. The world felt numb again as you relaxed into the tub, which, evident from the scent, Hyunjin had filled with your favourite bath salts.
What seemed like a year's worth of time, passed in silence, as Hyunjin quietly stroked your skin with soap, was it the lavender one or the tea tree one? You couldn't tell, remembering how you often joked that both of them gave off the same perfuminous vapours and that Hyunjin should just buy one of them. The water seemed more mellow now.
"Love, look at me?" Hyunjin's voice broke you out of your seemingly never-ending stupor. Like it always did.
You turned your head and rested your eyes on Hyunjin's softened ones, and you felt that familiar tightening of your throat again.
"Hyun I-"
"Don't you dare apologise." Hyunjin said before you could even get a word out, "You never have to apologise to me. Not for this."
His hands were sickeningly sweet as they ran over your back, washing lathers of soap off of your back, his voice even more so.
“You deserve to relax, you know that right?" Hyunjin said, as he wrapped you up in your purple coloured towel, "“You did so well today and you do so well everyday and you deserve to rest for a while."
Hugging you into his arms again, Hyunjin provided you with a little den, a cave where you could settle into whenever you felt that you were too tired for a lion's hunt. And you were forever grateful to him for him.
"Now-" Hyunjin looked down at you with a cheeky smile, "You are not allowed to leave the bed until you finish every single cupcake I got you."
"You got me cupcakes?" Your lips broke into a smile, a genuine one this time, "What flavour?"
"Beef." Hyunjin joked, sending both of you into a frenzy of laughter, as you pressed a kiss against his nose, making it turn the touched skin like a tomato.
The one thing that you'd have never admitted to anyone when you were younger was the fact that you wanted to be loved. That was a silly notion to you.
But maybe now, under the watchful gaze of Hyunjin as he saw you devour the cupcakes, you'd admit it.
You'd want to be loved, even if it was another weight on your shoulder.
Maybe that'd be a weight you'd like to ephermally lift.

like some yandere octa-trio with their costumes (like using the bandages to lasso fem mc and such). if it's too vague let me know
16. “You make my cold, dead heart feel like it’s beating again” (Yandere! Octotrio x Fem! S/o)
This expedition was going to be career-changing for (Y/n). After years of exploring remote locations only to find nothing, this was the day she was going to make her mark on history! She’d come out to the deep jungles of Outcast’s Island and found something amazing. A beautiful old looking temple that hadn't seen explorers in eons or so she hoped. It was easy enough to get inside and with her trusty flashlight she was able to see all the engravings that covered the walls.
Apparently the temple had been dedicated to guardian beings that took on the appearance of octopi and eels. As she went deeper and approached the heart of the building she started to see etching that looked like a young woman. The young woman in the etching was doing quite a number of activities with the eels and octopi many of which made (Y/n) blush just thinking about. Eventually she found herself at the inner sanctum of the temple where three stone coffins lay covered in cobwebs. Beyond the coffins there was an altar with a stone tablet upon it. Her curiosity drove her to inspect the stone tablet more closely. It was covered in writing through the language was unlike any that (Y/n) had ever seen before. On a whim she began reading the words on the tablet aloud not knowing they were more than just chicken scratch. As she finished reading there was a loud noise of something moving. The young woman whipped around to see what had happened but nothing looked amiss. That is nothing looked amiss until she took a closer look. The lid of one of the stone coffins had moved. Not much but it was definitely not where it had been when the female explorer had entered. More loud sounds filled the air as all three lids on the coffins began to move and something covered in bandages crawled out of each. (Y/n) backed against the altar terrified of what she was seeing. Mummies, there were mummies moving towards her like she was in a cheap horror flick.
“Thank you for finally waking us up” a voice said drawing the young woman’s eyes upwards to one mummy in particular. The mummy yanked away the bandages that covered his face to reveal a surprisingly normal looking face with mismatched gold and olive eyes and teal hair with a streak of black. “My name is Jade, and this is my brother Floyd and our friend Azul” the mummy said gesturing to the other two who also removed their head bandages. Floy looked identical to his brother while Azul sported blue eyes and silvery hair. “We really appreciate you doing us a solid shrimpy” Floyd said picking (Y/n) up and hugging her. “Being dead sucks, I’m glad it's over finally” he added nuzzling her. “Um you're welcome?” the girl said feeling rather bemused. Living creatures really were the last thing she was expecting to discover in this temple. Eventually Floyd set her down and her attention was drawn towards Azul who had yet to speak and seemed to be quietly analyzing her with a smile on his face. “Well boys, we best be off” Azul finally said, snapping his fingers. “The world isnt going to take itself over” he said without a hint of sarcasm. (Y/n) stared at him open mouthed and he gave her a pitying look. “Oh my, you don't have a clue what you’ve done… do you?” he said with a shake of his head. “We were sealed into that temple to keep us from starting the apocalypse. The seal was supposed to last for all time but then you came and broke it so now we’re free to cause chaos” he finished.
“As repayment for helping us. We’ll let you watch as we destroy humanity” Jade said in a chirper tone. “It's gonna be so much fun! I can't wait to squeeze the descendants of the jerks who sealed us away!” Floyd chimed in with a smirk. (Y/n)’s heart started to race and she knew what she had to do. She turned on her heel and ran, she had to warn someone, anyone! People had to know the disaster she had unleashed so that it would be undone. She didn't get far before she was face planting into the group. “Where are you going shrimpy?” Floyd said with a coo as he walked leisurely over to her. “Oh my, don't you know it's rude to run away from someone when they’re speaking to you?” Jade replied, pulling on the lasso of bandages he’d used to catch (Y/n) mid-escape. The two men dragged her back to Azul who was waiting patiently on the stone altar. “That was a brave escape attempt but you won't be making another” Azul said with an amused chuckle at the distressed look on the young woman’s face. “You know on second thought… maybe we shouldn't just let you watch from the sidelines. Perhaps we should make you help us cause misery. I’ve missed having a pretty thing to dote on and you make my cold, dead heart feel like it’s beating again” the young man said with his words getting eager agreement from both of his co-conspirators. (Y/n) had no choice in the matter, she was going to be forced to cooperate in the destruction of all that she loved until she was just as messed up and twisted as the men she had just freed from an eternal cursed slumber… THE END

Thank you @otherworldsivelivedin and @you-remind-me-of-the-babe Thanks for the tag!! It's nice to be included in this and get to know more people in the fandom!! :)
Here's mine!!
My three ships: I only really engage in SnowBaz fandom, so my other two picks were just kinda like things I think are cute/ would be into if I wasn't already obsessed.
Snowbaz - I mean, I'm hooked. There's just so much to take from the books and so many options to explore with these two. I've read so many AU's about these two that I believe they could live in any story you want. Or any song. OR movie. Or comic. They love each other so much too, but also there's such a range to their relationship that you can spend eons exploring the depths of their connection. So I think I like that. And the fact that they are so intertwined. I'm obsessed.
Monty and Percy- I love these two. Almost as much as SnowBaz. If I hadn't gotten into the SnowBaz fandom, Monty and Percy are where I would be putting all my time. They're the perfect combo of sweet and hilarious and they have so much adventure!! Can't get enough of these boys.
Geralt/Jaskier- so i keep seeing stuff pop up in my feed about these too, and honestly, I'm here for it. I think they would make a wonderful angry, loud and musical family someday. One can dream at least.
My first ship: i think consciously Marceline and Bubblegum from Adventure Time. I probably had others, but like I don't remember any of that nonsense. But Marcy and Bubblegum are the Simon and Baz of the Candy Kingdom in my opinion. And they deserve to be together. They so perfect together.
My last movie: Encanto ( for the second time) it's so good!! I will say though we were trying to get the toddler to watch Coco or How to train your dragon, but both were "terrifying" (her words not mine)
I'm currently reading:
We Contain Multitudes by Sara Hestra - I can't recommend this one enough. It's so sweet and so heartbreaking. I love the concept and if you listen to the audiobook like I am doing, it adds extra depth I think. But ya. I'm almost done, but not sure what to listen to next. I have a bunch of comics/graphic novels to read. looking forward to them, but audiobooks are just easier for me right now.
I'm currently watching: the Witcher
I'm currently consuming: Seaside Cider- Cherry Lane
I'm currently craving: Filhos ( Portuguese doughnuts) - made by mum. I had one the other night, and I just started thinking about it because of this question.
My favorite color: Blue! the deepest blue in the sky when it's sunny. And hot florescent pink ( like in riso prints... also that dark royal blue colour for riso)
The last song I listened to:
Girls- Girl in Red
Sweet, savory, or spicy: sweet- I am a notorious sweet fiend and it's a problem.
I'm working on: trying to finish my EGF fic Magically Required. I just posted Chapter 5 last night, Chapter 6 is written and waiting to be beta'd. I will say, for the next thing I write definitely going to try and have patience to get it beta'd first- i did i think the first chapters, but everything else has been ... raw? other that me rereading it a million times. Editing is part of me writing. I write until i get stuck then go back and edit until I can think of something new. but yes. Hopefully you all are enjoying it. I know I've been drawing it out ( bit nervous about the smut to come so ... avoidance )
If you've already been tagged sorry! But folks! tell me about yourselves
@stillmadaboutpetra @simonscone @sillyunicorn @confused-bi-queer @bazzybelle @palimpsessed @moodandmist

Fading away. —
Pairing: Jason Grace x Roman!DaughterofPluto!Reader
Sumary: after moths of over working, a colapse makes you get into a coma and reflect on your feelings.
Warnings: coma, angst, Pluto as a caring dad, fluff at the end.
Words: +-3k.
A/N: This is my first Percy Jackson Franchise fanfiction, so take it easy on me. This is also my biggest and favourite one. I hope you like this! My requests are always open.
Tumblr media
(Y/N) (L/N) had a good reason to hate Jason Grace. How could she not? Jason was so annoying, self centred, selfish, stubborn and worse of all? He dated Piper McLean. Piper was great, (Y/N) knew that and they seemed happy together. But, still, he chose Piper, not (Y/N), his girlfriend back at Camp Jupiter, who he totally forgot about. How come Percy remembered Annabeth but Jason wouldn't remember (Y/N)? And when he recovered his memory, he chose Piper. But she also loved him still, and seeing him hurt like a bullet going straight through her heart. She decided to spend a year at Half-Blood Camp to stay with her half-brother Nico Di Angelo when Gaea were defeated. She thought she could manage to see him almost every day, but she couldn't. So she started doing anything to get her mind occupied. Going on meaningless quests, travelling to New York randomly, volunteering for literally any service in the camp and barely sleeping — because sleeping meant dreams.
"It doesn't have to be like that, (Y/N)." Her brother gave her another shot of Nectar. The sunlight that entered Hades' cabin was leaving slowly as they talked, (Y/N) leaned on her bed watching her fingertips become solid again.
"I'll learn how to do it right and I promise I won't push myself too much, but I can't stop practicing." She avoided eye contact with Nico, feeling ashamed of herself. After all, she was supposed to be the one taking care of him, since she was older. She came back from a "quest" for her father, that was staying a weekend on the Underworld. She started using Shadow Travel to get there. The problem? She had no idea how hard it was, and she almost died every time. He sighted.
"I'm not talking about Shadow Travel. You should talk to Jason and sort this out. You're almost killing yourself everyday doing the craziest stuff just to keep your mind off him. He already broke up with Piper, what's stopping you now? I'm your brother and it pains me to see you suffering, I won't just sit and watch while you literally desapear." He got up and walked to the door. The (h/c) girl forced a smile so he believed she was fine. Nico left the cabin.
After hours reflecting and thinking, she heard the trumpets that announced the convocation to a game of Capture the Flag. Since she was feeling better, she changed her clothes and walked outside. The teams were: cabins 1, 4, 5, 9, 12, 14, 18, 21, 23, 27, 28, 29 vs. cabins 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 20, 24, 25, 26. They started the game. (Y/N) had to protect the boundary with a kid from Hipnos' cabin while a group attacked the opponent's flag and another protected their territory and their flag. Everything was going as planned, she hadn't seen anyone yet. Out of the sudden, she saw a blond guy running in their direction with a sword. Oh hell no, Jason Grace wouldn't attack her like that. But he did.
"What the hell?!" She screamed, reacting to the blade flying in her direction. Her teammate was asleep. She defended herself with her own sword and counterattacked. He invested against her leg, trying to make her fall. Her instincts took place, she jumped, attacked again and they started a meaningless battle. Jason looked the same as always. He was almost the same Jason that used to take her on cute dates in New Rome. But he fought like a greek. And that was when it hit her, he changed. The mixture of love and hate made her loose her senses for a bit, giving Jason the lead. He focused on her leg but hesitated to hit it, giving her time to get back on the fight. She knocked him to the floor, her foot on his chest and her blade on his neck, when she heard footsteps approaching quickly. Of course. It was a trap. She turned around and saw a son of Hebe holding her team's flag running, followed by two daughters of Hephaestus. She grabbed a knife from her belt and threw it to his leg, hitting exactly where she wanted. She then grabbed Jason's blade and Shadow Travelled. For a moment everything was fine, while she drowned into darkness, but then she couldn't get out. She saw her father's face mixed in the dark. He raised his hand and touched her face, than she was back at the forest. Realising not even a second had gone through, she attacked the — injured — boy and the two gigantic girls at the same time. She wasn't really expecting to defeat them, just trying to win some time so, hopefully, someone would come help her. The boy dropped the flag and got a small sword. The two girls had hammers... oh. The three of them attacked at the same time and she protected herself with Jason's sword, which flew away. She was out of hopes when a figure appeared beside her and started fighting them.
"What are you doing here?! You're not supposed to help me, we're enemies, remember?" She said, fighting Hebe's son.
"I guess you're welcome then." Jason replied smiling, fighting the hammers-girls. (Y/N) sighted in annoyance. Seconds later, her teammates came running from the enemies' territory with a flag and the three-people group surrendered. Everyone started screaming and celebrating. (Y/N)'s head hurt with the noise and she looked to her brother, feeling numb.
"Hey, can we talk?" Jason said, getting in front of her with a big smile. He was proud of himself for helping her? Of course he was. He was going to take all the credit for her team's win. The anger rose inside of her burning everything. She furrowed her eyebrows and with the last energy that remained in her body, she tried to Shadow Travel for the perhaps hundredth time that day.
She fell into the darkness while feeling her body desapear quickly. Her heart was very accelerated but then it stopped. She saw herself at the barks of Lete's river. I'm dead., she thought. The desperation started taking over. She remembered the face of all her friends. Her siblings, Hazel and Nico. Her mother. Her best friend Reyna. Camp Jupiter. New Rome. The Lar Vitellius. Lares? Lares! Maybe she could go back as a ghost! She would at least see her friends again.
"Didn't expect to see you this soon." A voice said with humor. She turned around, as always enlighten by her father's presence. But his face was sad. Not the everyday-sad-Pluto, but the my-daughter-just-died-sad-Pluto.
"Am I d-... dead?" The anxiety forbid her from crying in front of her father. The one she never knew and once she did, she didn't want to disappoint him.
"Yes and no. You see, my darling, there are things more powerful then death. Right now, your physical being is exhausted from travelling through darkness and light — which I told you not to, but we'll talk about this later, you have a decision to make. You're body is surrendering to Death out of hopelessness. But your soul, on the other hand, still fights for the heart beating in your chest. And your conscious, the controller of both body and soul, has to decide which one of them you'll support right now. As Lord of the Death that's all I can say to you. But as your father, I would like to say that we have a room for you in the castle, if you'd like that. And also, I feel obligated to show you what is happening on Earth." When he finished his words, an image formed in the air, sort of an Iris message, but no one saw them. (Y/N) saw herself laying on the grass, surrounded by some campers, Nico and Jason.
She was watching them from above. Jason put two fingers on her neck, trying to feel her pulse. She — the one in the Underworld — gasped as the blond boy whispered 'nothing'. She glanced at her father, who had a pained expression as he stared at Nico freaking out. Her brother had his hands on her chest and was murmuring something in greek. Then, he opened his eyes, filled with tears of desperation, and glanced at Jason, who didn't look any better. She wanted to scream and go back to up there, but her voice wouldn't come out of her throat.
"Half of her is already gone." Nico struggled to say. Everyone around gasped. "I can't Shadow Travel with her, it- it would k-kill the other half..."
"Let's take her to the Infirmary. Everything's gonna be fine. She'll be okay." Will Solace had appeared in the crowd and kneed down to take (Y/N) in the arms, being helped by the other two. As they walked, (Y/N) held herself in her arms, sobbing. She didn't want to die, not like that. The image faded away and Pluto hugged her. He never did that before. She left out all her emotions through the cry. Her father caressed her back and gently kissed the top of her head.
"Now you see, my child, what those on Earth are going through. You have a family up there. And if you'd ask me, Jason Grace is a good person, even being a son of my brother. You have a choice, so make it wisely." Pluto said, not backing away from the hug. She nodded and he immediately knew what her choice was. "You know I'd love to have you here with me, but I'd love even more to see you happy. Don't be reckless. And listen to your brother. You don't have to worry to come see me, I'll make sure to visit you during your recovery." As he said that, a white door appeared out of nowhere. "Here's your carpool." The girl started to walk to the door, when she heard Pluto say: "(Y/N) I lo-... Good luck." She smiled to him and went through into the door. It felt like eons in the nothingness. She felt so much pain all over her body. Then she gained conscience. She didn't knew how long it had passed. She also couldn't open her eyes or say anything, but she knew she was laying down something comfortable, a bed, perhaps. But she could hear perfectly well.
"... and I'm so sorry you had to die for me to gain the courage to say this. Please come back to us... Come back to me. Nico barely leaves this room and nor do I, Will had to force him to go eat. It's not the same without you, (Y/N/N), it really isn't." Jason's words gave her the urge to cry, but she couldn't. It was like her body had shutdown completely. She felt his warm hands on her cold ones and after that, a door was opened. Footsteps. Only one person. Jason didn't move. Someone sat down next to them.
"Dad- I mean, Hades said she will be okay." It was Nico's voice. He sounded extremely tired.
"Didn't he say that last month?" Grace was annoyed, but he didn't stop holding her hand.
"I know, I wish I could do more... I'm... I'm sorry Jason." The blond sighted.
"I should be the one to be saying that. I know there's nothing else to do. I'm sorry for putting the blame on you. It's just- if we've talked before, nothing of this would have happened. If only I was brave enough..." (Y/N) felt weak and her consciousness was back at nothing again. When she heard something again, it looked like a lot of time had passed by, but she wasn't sure at all. Jason's voice was happy as he told her his plans to the future.
"I realised you would like to work with me training the legion. You're obviously skilled and the payment is quite good. And I've heard they are planning to build a village here as well, but I don't know if you-..." Every time she tried to stay conscious, she felt weaker. 'Rest', her father's voice said inside of her head, so she let herself.
Some time...? A long time...? She didn't knew. But the next time she heard, she was way stronger. She waited until then, so she could stay longer and try to understand her emotions. She heard almost an entire day. Her friends entered and left cabin 13 — she found out that she was there. Some of them talked "to" her, some just sat there in silence. When alone, Nico talked a lot about Will Solace. (Y/N) smiled mentally. Then Jason entered. She could already recognise the sound he made walking. He sat beside her bed and held her hand, as usual.
"Hello, princess. You look better." She reunited all the strength she had storage and sent it all to her right hand. She softly squeezed Jason's hand, for a small portion of second, trying to say 'hi'. She felt exhausted. He gasped.
"She just squeezed my hand!" He screamed, laughing. Nico jumped out of his bed, laughing as well. They both stared at her, waiting for more. "You're there, right? I knew you were! It's been long months, but you're getting better. Don't work too hard. We'll see each other soon, don't worry." He kissed her forehead. After that, it was easy for her to let go and dive into her sleep again.
She was slowly getting better. She noticed her comas were smaller now, and she got stronger every time. She started communicating by squeezing people's hand. One time for 'yes' and two times for 'no'. But it still was exhausting. She met with her father a couple times through dreams, but it never lasted long. She was sick of it. She wanted to jump out of the bed and run through all the camp. She was alone with Jason, as he talked about the last time he went to Camp Jupiter, telling every change. She slowly forced herself to open her eyes. It wasn't for too long, just enough for her to see the big smile he had while talking, her favourite blond hair and how he gesticulated while speaking. By that time, her feelings were completely lined. She declined her childishness and stubbornness to accept the fact that she obviously loved him. Her lips were able to form a small smile. He hadn't noticed her yet. I can do this, she thought.
"J." She whispered for the first time in five months. Her eyes were already closed again. He gasped.
"Did you just say J? That's me! I'm here, i'm right here, love. Can you hear me?" She squeezed his hand one time. Yes. He chortled. "You're so strong. I miss you so much." He started softly crying. She squeezed his hand two times. No. Don't cry, she wanted to say. "Alright, 's fine, 's fine. Gods, you're coming back. I bet Aphrodite is watching us closely." He chuckled but suddenly stopped. "I forgot we haven't talked about that yet, i'm sorry. I don't wanna be intrusive, you know. It's just, by what Nico has told me, well, you still liked me." She squeezed two times. "That's... that's great, love. But don't worry about that just yet. You should take some rest now, my love."
Five days. She had woken up every single one of them, but only listening. No squeezes, no talking, no looking. Just storing strength. She knew she was close to fully waking up. She was already able to keep track of the days. It was a Sunday, the day she received the most visits. It should be morning, because she only heard Nico's snorting. She slowly opened her eyes. The same place. Different clothes. She wondered who had changed them. Perhaps Will did. She systematically moved her arms, pushing herself to sit. Her back was laying at wall. She took a deep breath. It was going fine. She wanted to wake Nico up, but she decided to wait to see if she would be able to actually stay awake. About an hour later, Nico woke up by himself. He yawned and turned to her bed. She looked at him with a big smile. He jumped out of bed.
"Holy shit, (Y/N)! You're up! How- Wait! I need to- Wait! Don't fall asleep, I'll be right back!" She blinked slowly to sign 'ok'. He was back moments running later with a bunch of teenagers in pyjamas. They all froze at the door, staring at her. Hazel, Frank, Annabeth, Percy, Jason and even Piper. Hazel was the first one to wake up from the trance. She ran to her sister and hugged (Y/N).
"Ouch." She managed to say, reacting to the tight hug that made her head hurt.
"Right, sorry! I forgot. Wait, you speak!" Hazel answered and laughed. All of the others joined in, amazed by her friend, and started talking, telling everything she had missed. (Y/N) couldn't speed properly, only a few words like 'hi', 'ow', 'miss' and 'food'. Later that day, Will came to check on her. He said everything looked just fine, but that she should rest.
"Hey." Zeus' son said, once they were alone.
"Hi."
"Gods, it's so good to finally hear you again. I've talked to myself for a long time." They giggled softly. (Y/N) wasn't showing any signs of it, but that day had been extremely tiring. Her entire body hurt but she couldn't give up just yet.
"I... heard." She whispered. "A bit." Her eyes tried to close but she opened them wide, fighting her own nature. Jason noticed that.
"Hey, no need to over do it.” He brushed her cheek with his thumb.
"Sleep... here." She begged, placing her hand beside her. He froze for a moment, embarrassed. And then, with a rubor across his face, he sat on the bed beside her. She laid her head on his chest and quickly fell asleep.
“Go to sleep, love. We have all the time in the world.”

Thank you to @vivilakitty for letting me write out this prompt! I hope you all enjoy!
"Come on girl! This is a once in a lifetime chance!"
"But I-"
"Don't be such a chicken! It's just Adrien after all."
"I just-"
"Stop making so many excuses!" Alya rolled her eyes.
"You know how rare it is that Adrien's dad let's him hang out with us." Alix shoved her towards the boat.
"But-" Marinette protested. She started to breathe irregularly, but no one seemed to notice.
"No more buts Marinette." Mylene said firmly, pulling Marinette by the arm.
"I can't-"
"Yes you can. Now get on there." With a final shove, the girls managed to push a shaking Marinette onto the boat.
"Hey guys, look who's here!" Alya announced, a huge grin on her face, completely oblivious to the fact that the girl next to her was trembling in fear.
"Hey Marinette!" Adrien waved cheerfully to her. Marinette forced a smile on her face, hoping that it'd come off as tired and not rude.
"Hey Marinette. You don't look well, do you need any help?" Lila smiled viciously at Marinette.
"N-No I-I'm fine." Marinette turned to Alya.
"I'm not feeling great Alya, I really need to go." She held onto Alya tightly, her palms beginning to sweat.
"Nonsense! Just get over your nervousness and go talk to Adrien." Alya waved her off, and left Marinette to go talk to Lila.
What must have been mere minutes felt like years as Marinette wobbled her way to the rooms below.
"One more step..." Marinette breathed hard, muttering to herself as she inched closer.
"Hey Marinette, you need any help?" Marinette jumped upon hearing the voice behind her. Shakily, she turned and saw Luka standing there, a concerned look on his face.
"I-I..." Marinette forced a weak smile on her face. "Y-yea I'm fine." Marinette's knees suddenly buckled.
"Hey hey look at me. Take a deep breath in." Luka carried Marinette and ushered her into a chair. He grabbed his guitar and started to play a calming tune.
Marinette shakily breathed in. "That's good. Now breathe out." Marinette breathed out.
"You're doing great Mari. Breathe in, breathe out." Luka smiled at her.
Minutes later, Marinette stopped shaking and was relatively calm.
"Good job Marinette. You keep doing that, I'll get you a glass of water ok?" Marinette nodded her head. Luka carefully got up and left the room.
Marinette continued to do the breathing exercises that Luka instructed her to do, and focused on Tiki patting her purse.
Minutes passed and Luka still hadn't returned. Marinette was getting worried. "Tiki, should I check on him?" Marinette whispered.
"I think you should give him a few more minutes." Tiki stroked Marinette's hair in an attempt to calm her down.
It had been almost 10 minutes, but no one had entered the room.
"That's it. I'm going to look for Luka." Marinette shakily pushed herself up.
Just as Marinette stepped foot on the deck, the girl was dragged towards the make-shift stage.
"Girl where were you?" Alya huffed.
"Lila told us you were getting a drink but we couldn't find you anywhere." Rose pouted.
"Guys I-"
"Whatever at least we found you. Adrien is gonna perform with kitty section soon." Marinette could feel the fear rising in her as she took in her surroundings.
"And you are going to talk to him right now." Alya said firmly, dragging Marinette.
"Hey guys!" Adrien waved at the girls and they smiled at him while pushing Marinette towards him.
"Hi Marinette!" Adrien beamed, completely oblivious to Marinette's state.
"H-hi Adrien..." Marinette choked out. Adrien smiled politely as Marinette trembled.
"Oh my gosh Marinette there you are!" Marinette screamed internally as Lila approached her.
"Hey girl what's up?" Alya said excitedly.
"Oh not much, I was just on the phone with jagged stone. He said he's sorry that he can't come watch kitty sections performance cause something came up." Lila let out a small sigh and looked at the girls feigning worry.
"I hope you don't hate me for this." The girls immediately rushed to comfort Lila, assuring her that it wasn't her fault.
"Thanks guys, that makes me feel better." Lila smiled. "Do you mind if I borrow Marinette here? There's something I'm dying to talk to her about."
Alya grinned at Lila. "Of course Lila!" Lila smiled, a glint of malice in her eyes.
"Perfect! I owe you all one." Lila dragged a half protesting Marinette you to the edge of the boat.
It took all of Marinette's willpower to not puke right there and then, so she struggled to form her sentences. "W-what do you want Lila."
Lila smiled. "As much as I enjoy seeing you acting so pathetic, I can't pass up on this chance."
"What are you-" Before Marinette could finish her sentence, she was falling into the water.
The water was everywhere. Marinette could feel the panic rising ten times faster. The water felt heavy and she couldn't move. She felt herself sinking and felt so helpless. It felt like eons before she heard anything from the boat.
"Oh no! Marinette fell!"
"I'm sure she's fine, she's just overreacting."
"Bullshit!"
"Luka?"
"W-what are you talking about?"
"Luka!"
"Hey! How dare you shove Lila!"
There was a loud splash, and a tall figure swam towards a thrashing Marinette.
"Shhh its ok Marinette." Marinette hiccupped and shook as a pair of strong arms grabbed her and helped her up.
"Come on girl, let's get you changed." Anarka helped Marinette up as everyone stared worriedly.
"Juleka, go help mom." Luka said, anger radiating from him. Juleka nodded and rushed off to assist their mother.
"Thank you Luka for saving Marinette. I was honestly so worried when she-"
"Shut up." Luka growled.
"E-excuse me?" Lila stuttered.
"I saw what you did." Luka finally looked up and glared at Lila, sending chills down her spine.
"Luka just leave it." Adrien whispered, nudging Luka.
Luka laughed, startling everyone. "Just leave it? This girl just pushed Marinette into the water. And it the only reason she's alive right now is because I went after her." Luka was pissed off, but it didn't seem to bother them.
"But Marinette can swim." Alya argued. "She would have been fine without us."
"Couldn't you see her? Maybe she can swim, but fear blinds people. She couldn't even stay afloat, yet all of you held me back from even checking on her."
"What do you mean fear? It's not like Marinette is scared of water." Mylene asked.
"Yea! I would know. I've been friends with her since we were five after all! Kim boasted.
"You are all idiots." Upon hearing that, everyone protested angrily.
"Did it not occur to all of you that syren just attacked Paris not too long ago?" Most of them went silent, but a few of them were too stubborn to understand.
"So what? It's not like-" Alya tried to argue but was immediately cut off.
"And did it not occur to you that Marinette could have been one of the many who drowned?" Luka hissed. Everyone froze as they realised their mistakes.
"I can't believe you call yourself Marinette's friends. She has been scared this whole time, yet none of you even bothered to ask her how she was doing." Luka glared at Alya, who refused to back down.
"It's not like we would have noticed-"
"Oh really?" Luka said coolly. "It's not like Marinette has been shaking, struggling to breathe or said that she's scared the whole time right?" He said sarcastically.
"It's because she has a crush on Adrien!" Alya smiled triumphantly, thinking she won the argument.
"You really are blind. She's been like this because she's scared of the water. She doesn't even like Adrien anymore. But you wouldn't know, would you?" Luka said.
"And you." Luka turned to Lila. "You are never to step foot on my family's boat ever again. If I see you pull a stunt like this ever again," Luka's voice dropped dangerously low. "I'll make sure you'll wish you had never been born." Lila nodded in fear and scuttled off the boat.
Luka turned away from the gaping teenagers and went to check on Marinette. He found her huddled on his bed, wearing a set of his dry clothes.
"Hey Marinette. You doing better?" Marinette nodded and hugged her knees.
"Do you want anything warm to drink?" Marinette nodded her head.
"Tea? Coffee? Hot chocolate?" Luka asked.
"Can I have got chocolate?" Marinette whispered. Luka smiled at her.
"Of course. I'll go get some for you." Luka walked into the kitchen, where he found his mother and sister sitting down, drinking coffee and tea.
"How is she?" Anarka asked quietly.
"Not great. I'm making hot chocolate for her right now. Could you guys get everyone off the boat? I don't think she'd like to talk to them right now." Luka pulled out a packet of instant hot chocolate and began to make a cup for Marinette.
"Sure thing boy." Anarka got up from her chair and made her way up.
"You really like her don't you?" Juleka stared into her cup.
Luka chuckled. "I'm not sure if like is the word I'd use. Maybe love?"
"I've never seen you so angry before." Juleka looked up from her cup and stared intensely at Luka. He merely shrugged and tapped his fingers on the counter impatiently.
"Love makes people go crazy."
"I think the phrase is 'Love makes people do crazy things'."
"Sure sis."
Once the hot chocolate was done, Luka gingerly carried the cup into his room.
"Hey Marinette. You feeling better?" Luka carefully passed the warm mug to Marinette who gratefully accepted.
"Yea I'm starting to warm up slowly. But what about you?" Marinette furrowed her eyebrows and averted her eyes from Luka.
Luka raised an eyebrow and looked down, only to realise his white shirt was soaked and very see through.
"I'm fine. I didn't even realise how cold I've been feeling." Luka smiled as Marinette frowned.
"Luka!" He laughed as she started to scold him.
"Alright alright. I'll go change. Be back in a second." He grabbed a set of new clothes and head to the bathroom to change. In less than a minute, he was back in a fresh set of clothes.
"Hey Luka?" Marinette stared at her cup, slightly blushing.
"Yea?"
"Thank you." Luka smiled.
"Anytime Marinette."

The one where Tak and Emory go to a party in their kigurimi
Spring break had come and gone and on a foggy night in early April, the Shark and the Hedgehog sauntered up the dark streets of Berkeley, walking from Shattuck BART to Haste, up to College Avenue. They held hands as they walked in shadows, enjoying the quiet spring night once they were above Telegraph. They were headed to a place near the Julia Morgan building for a party put on by the Pan-Asian student union. It was to be an Animal Onesie themed party to raise money for a member of the union who was battling leukemia while trying to finish her masters degree. They wore the onesies Emory’s aspiring fashion designer little sister had sewn them. Emory hadn't wanted to go at all but Tak pointed out that nearly everyone there was going to be an Asian nerd which made Emory feel a little less out of place than he did at other college parties full of red cup woo-bros.
Neither of them wanted to be sober, and neither of them wanted to try to find parking in Elmwood, and neither of them wanted to shell out for a driver so they walked, choosing to wear the onesies instead of carrying a backpack and trying to keep track of it all night. They had just reached College Avenue and were nearly there when some asshole in a yellow hummer screeched to a stop where they were crossing the street, revved his engine, rolled down the window and screamed,
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY YOU FUCKIN CHING CHONG FAGGOTS!” And as soon as their toes touched the sidewalk on the other side of the intersection he peeled out, fishtailing over the narrow suburban streets.
“Jesus what the fuck?” Tak glared at the tail lights.
“Well he does drive a hummer.” Emory shrugged and looked at his shoes.
“I hope he chokes on a bag of sweaty dicks,” Tak grumbled.
“Hey,” Emory stopped and looked at Tak “Don't let that shitbag ruin your night. He means nothing.”
“I am trying not to. I was a little scared, Em. I forget that not everyone, even in Berkeley, is cool with gay dudes or Asians. Or gay Asians.” Tak kicked at some leaves on the sidewalk.
“Gaysians,” Emory corrected.
Tak laughed so hard he snorted. “Emory, I don't know what I would do without your smart ass.” He draped his long shark fins over the stout hedgehog.”We’re almost there, lets get baked.” He brought out his vape. Tak had brought an Indica, super stupid and stoney, not meant for anyone who had anything important to do today or probably tomorrow either. The plan was to get as high as possible in order to tolerate the crowds of other Asian students in fuzzy animal suits dancing to K-Pop. Tak had originally planned not to go, despite being regularly involved with the organization, but then someone had made a comment about him not really being that Asian and he wasn't about to take any shit from some third gen kid who didnt even speak his own language fluently when Tak, despite mostly appearing black, spoke nearly fluent Japanese.
They strolled another block to the party, several animals outside chatting over loud music emanating from inside. There was a gaggle of Japanese girls in matching unicorn onesies, a kangaroo, a corgi, a giraffe, two Pikachus, and a Totoro.
“I didn't know we could wear character onesies.” Tak pouted.
“Yeah that's bullshit, they said animals. I wanted to be Cthulhu.” Emory scowled, but not seriously. The Indica was taking over, and shuffling into the building was taking concentration. They shouldered their way inside and headed straight to the makeshift bar where they got juices, Ramune for Tak and grass jelly for Emory. Nearby tables held all sorts of snacks from the Asian market. There was dried squid, onigiri, rice crackers, wasabi peas, dumplings, etc. Not even the worse case of the munchies could convince Emory to eat party food that other people had touched and then put their hands to their mouths, and then back to the bowl. Gross.
The plan was to make a loop to say hello, then make another loop to say goodbye and then get the fuck out. Tak knew most people here and Emory knew a fair bit as well, but this was the first time they had gone to a college party as a couple and Emory gave no fucks what people thought, but he could tell Tak wasn't completely there yet, and considering the incident with the hummer bro, he tread carefully.
So it was a bit of a jolt when Emory introduced Tak to two vietnamese guys, Tu (Husky dog) and Rithi (racoon), as his boyfriend. Tak froze up when Tu offered out a fist to bump, and Emory caught a glimpse of Tak’s hesitation. He wasn't sure how he felt about it, but he was a little indignant. He tried to remember that Tak and he were both super high and not to trip out and what-if the hell out of a little hesitation for a handshake. It wasn't until after they had finished chatting with Tu and Rithi and Tak still wouldn't meet his eyes that he started to get pissed.
Emory spotted a back hallway leading to a door and without a word grabbed Tak’s fin in his paw and dragged him to it. He lugged the shark into the hall, glowering, before opening the door and yanking Tak inside.
It was not a back door to the outside as Emory had hoped, it was a closet. There was a mop and bucket, some big box size packages of toilet paper and paper towels, and other relevant miscellany. A bare bulb glowed from the ceiling. Emory, flustered at this development, quickly reached to lock the door behind them.
“Tak, what the fuck. I can't tell people you're my boyfriend here?” Emory asked, hurt and accusatory.
“I'm sorry I did that. I really am. I don't know why I did that.” Tak said, clearly grappling with being just a little too high for the conversation.
“If you don't want to be out at a party, you have to tell me before we get there. I don’t have a problem keeping it under wraps, especially if you don't feel safe, but you have to let me know, Tak,” Emory breathed hard through his nose when he finished speaking.
“ I do. I did. I do.” Tak stammered. It was unlike him to drop his eyes and struggle. “I,.. Emory, that was the first time anyone ever called me a faggot. I'm not joking when I say that Hummer dude scared me. I don't want to get beat up and murdered just for being in love with you. I started spacing out on the walk over here thinking about what I would do if someone tried to fuck with us. I thought about what I’d do if someone hurt you. I started just spiraling into worst case scenarios and thinking about how I take our safety for granted here. I was buggin’ out and I shut down. I'm a little too high, Im sorry,” he heaved a heavy sigh.
“For being in love with you” played on a loop in Emory’s mind as his eyes traced over Tak’s countenance, his slumped shoulders, tucked chin, arms hanging at his sides. He’d never get used to the way those words made him feel.
“UGH I can't be mad. There isn't anything to be mad about. I just want you to tell me if you don't feel safe or it there is something you need from me before we go places. I don't want to push you to be out everywhere we go but you do need to give me the heads up. I feel like an asshole for assuming without asking if we were out here,” Emory folded his arms across his chest but his eyes were soft.”I cant fight with you while you’re wearing a shark suit.”
“I want to be out here. There’s no reason to hide here. We aren’t even the only queers here. I want to show you off to people and make them hella jealous...I think being super stoned just made me paranoid. One toke over the line, man,” Tak shrugged.
Emory covered his mouth and his shoulders shook.
“What?” Tak crowded his eyebrows together.
Emory started to laugh behind his hand. “Its just that Im locked in closet with a giant in a shark suit, having a serious conversation about my relationship while Im dressed as a hedgehog, and Im super high.” He started to laugh harder, “You can’t make this shit up.”
Tak took a moment to view the situation from outside himself and yes, it was very, very hilarious. He began to giggle, then laugh, then gasp between bouts of belly laughs.
Emory watched Tak laughing and felt all warm and gooey in his chest. He want to kiss him, right now. He stepped closer, grabbing a fistful of shark suit in each hand and yanked Tak close. Tak’s laugh stopped but his smile went on for eons. Emory had the look. That look. Tak knew that he was going to do anything Emory asked when he saw that look. He leaned in to kiss Emory, one hand keeping his balance, which was intermittent right now, on a shelf. The other hand slipped into Emory’s hedgehog hood, and held the back of his neck. He could feel the heat coming off of Emory through their fuzzy suits as he pressed his body into Emory. Emory was avoiding his kiss, teasing him, making Tak chase his lips, snapping his teeth at him and smirking.
“Give me that!” Tak growled, pulling on Emory’s neck harder until his lips crashed into Emory’s. He felt Emory’s smirk fade under his own lips and his posture softened as he kissed Tak back with sensual and deep open mouth kisses, making Tak want to pitch himself into the abyss of Emory’s touch. After many moments, as kisses turned into lips on necks and ears and throats, Emory whispered into Tak’s ear,
“I really can’t wait to get you alone.”
Tak grinned. Emory knew all the buttons to push and Tak wondered how soon they could ditch this party. Tak’s hands wandered into his hood and into his hair. Emory could play cool, but not when Tak played with his hair, that was when he lost all thought being stealthy or tame. Emory’s eyes simmered and he flashed a grin before claiming Tak’s mouth again. Tak rested one long hand on Emory’s shoulder, the other in his hair, tugging close to the scalp, eliciting a rumble from Emory’s throat.
“More.” Emory demanded, digging his thumbs into Tak’s hip bones in an almost painful and insistent way. Tak pulled harder at his hair and Emory bit down viciously at his neck. Tak moaned and his head tipped back, making a loud noise when it landed on the shelf behind him. He heard someone tapping on the door, jiggling the handle. He didn't care.
“Fuck off!” he managed to shout to whomever was on the other side. The knocking stopped. “Goddamn Emory your mouth is going to kill me,” Tak murmured. Emory nipped again and pulled back to see the mark he had left on Tak’s neck, which was not discrete or small. He laughed louder than he expected to and jumped when another banging knock came from the door.
