L 😭 im a mess i cant stop listening to this song [https://youtu.be/4ELTaMB41OQ?si=7PCNCUQenoJsLQNC] and the only thing in my head is Regulus playing piano w reader 😭😭😭 like i imagine ofc the black parents forcing their children to learn art and music and french shit and playing piano stuck with Reggie bc it helps him kind of turn his mind off for a bit and just let his fingers do their thing 😭 then reader comes along not knowing how to but always loving to listen to reg play 🧍‍♀️ good bye
🩷
omg aweeee yes I see this - I totally see Reg as an artsy guy, both with instruments, painting/sketching, and maybe poetry (tortured souls, right?) this was so cute - and the song too! I've never heard it before so thanks for sharing!
Regulus Black x GN!reader CW: mentions of past family/parental abuse, sibling relationships
You weren't at all surprised to find him here. He'd gone quiet at dinner and excused himself as early as politely possible.
You leaned against the doorframe as Regulus' fingers skirted across the keys of the grand piano in the living room, murmuring soft lyrics you couldn't make out from this distance. The chance of the song being a cover or an original equally as likely.
Dinner's with his brother could sometimes be hard for Regulus - both parties feeling different levels of guilt over their respective treatment of the other. Living in a house with abusive parents meant you either adapted, or you died. Sometimes the boys would stick together - power in numbers and a sense of camaraderie. And sometimes, life was a little bit easier for you if it was your brother who was the object of your parents' attention.
That kind of environment didn't exactly support or foster a healthy sibling relationship.
It only grew worse after Sirius ran away.
All this to say - though the boys have done a lot of work on their relationship and reconciliation, sometimes memories were brought up in conversation that neither boy has had the chance to process fully, and they had to deal with that as it came.
Which brings you back to the living room after having cleared the table, washing the dishes and putting the left overs away.
You were friends with Sirius too - and you couldn't help but chuckle at how different the two boys ended up.
For example, you knew Sirius would rather sit naked on a hot grill than return to the seat of a piano; you supposed having your hands smacked with a ruler until the bled for messing up your scales could do that to a person. But somehow, Regulus seemed to find peace in the thoughtlessness of letting his fingers find their notes along the instrument he knew inside and out; the quiet of his mind gave him the chance to process his feelings.
You decided to stop being a creep from the edge of the room and join Reg quietly on the piano bench. He must have known you were there, because he never faltered or surprised at your appearance.
"Sorry I left." He murmured quietly. "I'll clean up later, I promise."
You leaned your head on his shoulder as you watched his fingers work, shaking your head. "I've already done the washing, don't worry about it."
He made a tsking sound as he leaned his head atop yours. "I didn't mean to leave that up to you, mon chéri."
"I was happy to do it."
"I'll make it up to you, hm? What would you like?" He offered as he kissed your head, the keys and their notes never faltering under his hands.
"Play me a song."
And he did.

Eight Day of Gift-Giving: Vacations
Prompt: Even the best vacation tour has to end eventually which makes them end up in this airport, watching the fog outside that keeps their plane from starting.
I couldn't really incorporate a random vacation in the middle of the on-going story, so here's a little standalone again, this time about the band being stuck at an airport in true BC manner 🥰 (so not at all vacation-themed actually, but at least it's rated M because apparently it's becoming a theme for these "off-day" fics 👀)

It was on days like this that Aleksi didn't mind having travelled across the Europe all summer: without all the numerous flights accross the continent within the past months as they had been spreading the tidings of the Violent Pop revolution, Aleksi probably wouldn't have received his Gold membership of their trusted airline quite as fast. Waiting for updates on a delayed flight back home home would always suck big time, but in the VIP lounge, the ordeal was at least a little more bearable – the key word being little.
"Joel looks like he's gonna throw another tantrum soon," Joonas said under his breath, his eyes following Joel who paced around the lounge, only stopping to check his phone every twenty steps.
"And I intend to be as far away from him as possible when that happens," Niko muttered, then nudged Tommi sitting next to him. "Beer?"
"Beer," Tommi agreed and sat up. As they headed towards the bar, Santeri ordered them to keep an eye on their phones in case there'd be a sudden development with the flight situation. However, looking out the large airport windows and seeing the fog thicker than Aleksi's grandmother's pea-soup, Aleksi wasn't going to hold his breath.
"Mmmmmmmhh," Olli's sighed beside him, head on Aleksi's shoulder.
"Sleepy?"
The yawn Olli then strecthed his mouth into answered Aleksi's question.
"I saw some cool sleeping pods when we came here. D'you maybe wanna... try them out?"
Aleksi ignored Santeri clicking his tongue at them.
"Yes, please." Olli's yawn turned into a drowsy smile as he sat up straight to stretch his arms. "Santeri, will you call us once we'll need to be back for boarding?"
"You know what? I'm actually tempted to leave you all behind." Seeing his sarcastic response resulted in nothing but overtired giggles, Santeri rolled his eyes. "Yeah I fucking will, just go."
And off they went before Santeri would roll his eyes at them again (which he did, in fact, behind their backs) and strolled hand in hand through the lounge to the Sleeping Pod Cove, as Aleksi called it in his mind. The way Olli was rubbing the back of Aleksi's hand with his thumb told him he wasn't maybe as sleepy as he seemed after all...
~*~
The sleeping pod was spacey enough for two people to rest there somewhat comfortably, yet so narrow that they were forced to lie pressed tightly against each other – or "forced", because Aleksi for one didn't mind in the slightest, and judging by the eagerness in which Olli's tongue was working on Aleksi's neck, neither did he.
Aleksi closed his eyes as he let Olli busy himself with kissing him everywhere his mouth could reach and took certain kind of pleasure in how impatient Olli was growing, but when Olli's hand began rubbing the front of Aleksi's jeans – it had taken him a little too long to realise it too – Aleksi chuckled and grabbed Olli by his wrist.
"Olli, I love you, but I'm not spilling in my pants for you at an international airport. I didn't pack any extra boxers in my hand luggage!"
As if to defy Aleksi's warning, Olli wriggled his hand free and gave a few more rubs to Aleksi's already semi-hard erection (it was almost embarrassing how merely making out with Olli had that kind of an effect on him) before unzipping his fly and sneaking his hand inside his underpants to take out his cock.
"Problem solved, hmm?"
Aleksi had no means to argue with that logic.
Olli's mouth was back on his as soon as he started stroking his cock with rapid movements that had Aleksi harden in no time. To think of it, it was exactly what Aleksi had needed after all the mental and physical exertion of the festival tour, combined with the unexpected delay of their final flight back home, even if he would've rather been in the privacy of a hotel room (or, better yet, home) where he wouldn't have to worry about making too much noise whenever Olli flicked his wrist just the way Aleksi best liked it.
"Wish I could take you in my mouth right now," Olli panted in his ear, and now that Olli mentioned it, so did Aleksi. Of course, that was not to say Olli's skillful hand twisting around his cock wasn't almost just as good as having Olli's hot mouth around him, so Aleksi really wasn't complaining.
"Fuck yeah," Aleksi sighed, trying to keep his voice low; he wasn't entirely convinced of exactly how sound-proof the pod was to the outside.
"Can't wait to get home soon to suck your brains out," Olli kept whispering, the movements of his hand growing faster. Aleksi suppressed a moan, turning it into a long, restrained sigh when Olli's thumb kept flicking over the tip of his erection, sending Aleksi close to oblivion each time.
"And then you'd fuck me so hard I wouldn't walk for days. Oh, fuck, Aleksi, you'd fuck me so nice." By then, Aleksi was so lost in his pleasure that he was barely hearing the vulgarities Olli kept whispering him or aware of Olli humping his own hard-on against Aleksi's hip.
"Ahhh," was all Aleksi could manage to say in response. Olli had always been better at dirty talk than him anyway, so he didn't feel pressured to put his two cents in the conversation, content in letting Olli do it for the both of them.
"I can't wait for you to fill me again. You always fill me so good."
"Hnnnnnggggghhhh," Aleksi moaned, trying to prolong his climax the best he could, because that's how good Olli's thight grip on his throbbing erection felt; long, careful strokes with just the right rhythm to keep Aleksi right on the edge without actually crossing it just yet.
"And then," Olli swallowed, his breath hot on Aleksi's skin, the movement of his thrusts against Aleksi's hip picking up, "then you'd cum inside me. So loud you'd wake up the neighbours."
Aleksi couldn't help but chuckle.
"You're the loud one of us, actually."
"Oh yeah?" Olli raised his eyebrow. In the same moment, he slid his hand further down Aleksi's boxers to cup his balls. Aleksi only just managed to swallow his surprised yelp. "Guess we'll see about that."
Aleksi squirmed when Olli kept massaging his balls, leaving his rock-hard cock completely without attention. If he wasn't completely driven by his lust, he would've probably felt embarrassed at the way he was whining and attempting to thrust his hips towards Olli's palm to urge him to get back to jacking him off. Perhaps the man felt pity on him, for he then moved his hand back to Aleksi's hard-on, gripping it tighter than ever.
"Scream for me."
"We are– haaaaahhh, Olli, we are in public!" Aleksi puffed, eyes rolling back when Olli twisted his hand around the head of his cock again.
"Don't care. Scream for me."
Aleksi bit his lip as to defy the devlish orders he was given.
"I'll make you, then," Olli whispered and at that very moment began jerking Aleksi vigorously, with no warning whatsoever, helping Aleksi to his orgasm in a matter of seconds.
"Fuck, aah!" he very nearly shouted, probably (hopefully, goddammit) not loud enough for anyone they knew to hear him, but definitely loud enough to someone loitering near the Sleeping Pod Cove to catch up on what was happening inside one of the pods. As for Aleksi himself, he was too caught up in his climax to care, too blessed to be shooting his cum in Olli's hand in short spurts to give a single damn if someone nearby realised they weren't using the pod for sleeping.
Feeling all sorts of drowsy and relaxed, Aleksi watched as Olli licked his own fingers clean off Aleksi's cum, closing his eyes as if to savour the bitter taste, just to tease Aleksi some more. Then the buzz of a phone interrupted Aleksi's post-orgasm activities, and he fished his phone out of his back pocket with a grunt.
Santeri: Expected take off in three hours 😐
"Welp," Aleksi said, flashing a sly smile at Olli, "looks like we've still got some time to kill."

My dream today started as a sims 4 game but then became me from real life doing things. It was all about this prom dance and I was like in a fetch quest for it. Some highlights are
1) bunch of people were stuck outside a McDonald's and some inside too waiting for something or someone to open it, I was with my mother, and I was like I'll go look for a solution elsewhere and I walked past Ellen DeGeneres who I didn't instantly recognize but apparently came here regularly and before I could say anything she turns to me and she's like OMG YOU'RE LULUCO!! I REMEMBER YOU 🤩 and I chuckled awkwardly and then she turned around and went serious again, almost like the whole event was a bit of a joke towards me.
2) when I went around a guy who was trying to SELL US the key/way to go inside the McDonald's followed me and his way to create small chat was to approach it from the tism side of things and started commenting on how many floor squares go inside each step depending on which non conventionally sized square they were. Unfortunately I disagreed with him and he was making me uncomfortable so it didn't reach anything.
3) eventually I ended up on this sort of bank place (probably the McDonald's, the same had been called a bank despite having all the looks of a McCafe from where I stood) and I saw over the corner of my eye that Marley (from Telefe) was sitting there working and I was like omg Marley 🥺 but he saw me so I looked away shyly and from that point onwards we started this comedy routine where every time I'd look away and back to him he'd do something silly that slowly escalated to him dancing on the table all goofy and at that point I couldn't keep it up and just looked at him and laughed full on. Until my attention was stolen by this big holographic screen that was trying to sell me mouth guards (yesterday the pain in my mouth was so awful I had to get up from bed) except it slowly devolved into being like yeah they can help but they can also destroy your teeth and it was showing this toothpaste ass looking commerical and there was this mouth and the molars, represented in transparent blue 3D grid models, were all slowly moving towards the center.
There were also some bits of my mother being a cunt to me but that's not relevant. What IS relevant is that before this, since the prom was for some-kid else, not me, we were talking to him and he was anxious about the whole deal bc he had a crush but an older cooler guy liked her too and I remember one of the parental figures being like well you cannot compete against a cowboy :/ and seeing how hot the guy was yeah he couldn't.

I stay away from twitter for my own sanity and health but I can imagine 😅😅 twitter is wild at the calmest of times but I was hearing some very ugly things being trended like calling Bang PD a "greedy pig" and calling LSM a "senile grandpa". Like... I get disliking them but this is hardly a personal thing, it's cold hard business. And the classlessness of it all sounds gross without even actually going on twitter. I love the humbleness of artists like BTS and SVT who started from small, poor companies, I will root for underdogs any day but the older I've gotten and the more saturated kpop has become, the more I'm finding I'm clinging to SM because there's just something special they keep doing. It could be just me being old and my origins as a kpop fan being a 2nd gen SM stan first.
Alternate theory time and kpop history corner - Japan was the first market SM worked to break into beyond Korea in the early 2000s with BoA and TVXQ, and ironically the idol trainee system had already existed there for decades. A company called Johnny's that has managed male idols since the 60s invented it and I have a strong suspicion Lee Soo Man borrowed the concept and SM is credited with pioneering and establishing it in Korea. They then naturally looked to expand to Japan first with BoA because "look, we did the same thing as you guys but we can do it with female idols too and look how good they are!" I was a j-pop stan before becoming a kpop stan and I'm a little attached to tradition, I must say 😅 I'm attached to the longevity of SM artists because Johnny's artists used to "expire" at age 25 like models until the 90s generation that said "guess what, we're more than that" and started becoming MCs as well. Johnny's and SM were the first to start training idols to be presenters as well. Yuta wrecks me a lot because he looks EXACTLY like what a super hot Johnny's idol used to look like in the 2000s, with his love of rock, the visual kei-inspired hairstyles and the way he does his eyebrows (decidedly un-Korean!!) Johnny's has fallen out of favour in recent years and had loads of scandals as well, like any longstanding company that manages talent and invents things, but there's something to be said about legacy. We need both legacy and innovation.
well nowadays, they're definitely much more focused on legacy than innovation. they're much more focused on promoting and pushing the sm brand, and not so much the artists themselves. that's why there's been such an emphasis on these fuckass group projects, like the collab units or the big sm winter albums. yo sm palace was such a crazy time, bc when that tweet announcing it came out, it got ratioed to death. people of all sm fandoms were basically like "bitch we didn't ask for this. we asked for a comeback for our own artists". and then everything else either had to be crammed in at the end of the year, or get pushed to the next year and get delayed like onew said. and this hyperfocus on the sm brand is why poor red velvet is still stuck at the reve festival, why ay yo...was the way it was with those awful teasers, why key's and other comebacks got delayed, and it's just derailing everything.
and this is pure conjecture so take this with a grain of salt, but considering all the internal strife going on in sm, i wouldn't be surprised if this new focus on legacy and the sm brand is their way of putting up a strong front while they fall apart on the inside. like trying to prove to the public (and themselves) that sm is still an established company with all this legacy to draw from. that's may be part of why why they're roping everyone into this bullshit kwangya thing, even tho half their artists either couldn't explain it with a mic to their mouth, or have already gone on record saying they don't like it. now that they're retroactively trying to rope everyone into this smcu shit with kwangya and everything, it makes a group like aespa have less of their own identity. now their concept isn't ai and kwangya, it's sm's latest venture and using them as the main vessel. but, bc the brand is clearly more important at this stage, and the brand is known of innovation, it's led to misguided shit, like seriously debuting the ai character for aespa as opposed to giving aespa an actual comeback.
Edit: with the whole focus on the brand, it honestly bleeds into how I see nct u now. I was seeing clips of the wayv fanmeet, they were dancing to universe, and i literally forgot yangyang and xiaojun were in that unit. Even nct u feels less like a genuine nct project, and more like those obligatory group projects the company makes them do
so i agree we need both legacy and innovation, but rn sm is just hyperfocused on the past and the future is looking real uncertain. literally every day we're hearing something new in terms of internal strife, like they're genuinely on their house of the dragon shit and destroying themselves from within, and it does genuinely make me wonder if they're gonna make it through the year. and because of that, it does make me worry for the artists bc it is some of the best music in kpop and it'd be a real shame for them to go out like this

"this is stupid! this is so fuckin' dumb!" you screamed, slamming your head onto the counter and groaning as the other barista's laughed, "what do you mean you want almondmilk but also 2% dairy! that makes no god damn sense!" you continued as the customers added onto the laughter from you coworkers.
you read off the order that someone had placed online as you got to making the ridiculous order. as you poured in the milk, you saw your coworker's faces fall stiff as you looked up. you couldn't help but roll your eyes as you saw Dio Brando walk into the establishment.
he was the owner of the law firm down the street and one of your most troubling customers. when it wasn't one of his poor fear stricken employee's walking in to order for him, it was Dio himself, walking in and cutting in line as he demanded his drink to be made quickly.
"you're the only one who can handle him, go!" your coworker Brenda muttered as she practically shoved you to the cash register. you sighed, giving Dio a tight smile, "good morning Dio, what brings you in today?" you asked. Dio chuckled, "you know my usual but go ahead and take your time. I don't mind waiting if you're the one making it."
if you rolled your eyes any harder, you were sure that you would've gotten stuck in the back of your head, "of course Dio. it'll be six ninety!" you replied as he took his card out. you saw the small ticket stub in his wallet that belonged to your store, "looks like you have a free drink, wanna use the opportunity?" you asked as you pointed your finger to the ticket stub.
Dio shook his head no, "give it to the person behind me," he demanded as he shook his card again. you took it, quickly swiping it before giving the register to Brenda and his card back to him. Dio always took an iced black nitro cold brew and a black coffee for later in the afternoon.
his order was never complicated but when Dio came into the coffee shop demanding this, that, and the third, it was like he was inside of the store for an eternity. you poured the cold coffee inside of the cup, you saw a little boy walk inside of the store, holding a set of keys, "there's a child in here," you whispered to Brenda.
you noticed that Dio was far too engrossed into his phone to notice you leaving your spot. "hey, what're you doing in here little buddy?" you asked, bending down to get to his eye level. he pointed to Dio, "do you know him?" you asked. he nodded as he walked over to Dio and pulled on his pants.
your eyes widened, scared that Dio might scream at him for doing such a thing to his very expensive clothes. Dio looked down in anger before you saw his facial expression soften, "I thought you were going to stay in the car before I dropped you off?" he asked. the boy shook his head before pointing to the milk that was on the counter, "I want milk and a cookie."
"of course! what size?" you asked showing him the medium and small size. Dio looked at you, face full of wonder, "that one!" he exclaimed as he pointed to the medium size. you quickly poured the milk into the reusable cup before taking a cookie from the shelf and putting it in the bag. you handed the items to the boy before looking to Dio again.
"adding babysitter to your resume?" you asked sarcastically. Dio chuckled as he looked down to Giorno, "can't play babysitter when he's your son," he corrected. your eyes widened, hearing what he had said. you were taken back in surprise.
"you have a son??" you exclaimed, "well, here's your order. I guess life is just full of surprises, isn't it?" you added on as you placed everything on the counter and went back to the counter to overlook the rest of the orders that had came in. you had no idea that Dio was even married, let alone a parental figure to someone.
"say goodbye Giorno," Dio stated as the boy waved you goodbye. you waved back just as enthusiastically as the two left.
the rest of the morning remained rather busy as you tried to keep up the work flow so you nor your coworker would get bombarded with orders. you usually kept the counter to yourself after the mid afternoon coffee rush. Brenda had classes after three pm and since you did your college work online, you were left dealing with the night customers.
you were cleaning up the coffee stations, making sure to leave it clean so you wouldn't have to do as much work tomorrow morning, your brain would not let you forget about your interaction with Dio and his son Giorno. you would have never taken Dio as the fatherly type and although you could sense that he was probably strict with Giorno, the idea that Dio had some kind of domestic life outside of work made you mind boggled.
the night shift wasn't as bad as you had thought originally. you really didn't have too many friends so you weren't exactly missing anything they were doing and since you lived alone, you didn't have anyone to go home to. all in all, your life was pretty stale but nothing you could majorly complain about.
you heard the bell on the door ring as you looked up. it was one of your regular costumers and although he wasn't a major disturbance, he did give you the creeps every once in a while. he always lingered around the store, not really doing much. he never brought anything to work on and sometimes just stared at what you did.
"hello, would you like to place an order?" you asked him, tapping the counter with slight nervousness. he shook his head no, "i wanna take you out on a date. when do you get off?" he asked with no hesitation. you felt shivers come down your arm, alarms ringing off in your head as you realized no one was here to help you in case something went south.
"i'm sorry but i'm on the clock so unless you're wanting to place an order, you can't remain in the store," you pressured. he chuckled, almost as if what you said had went over his head, "didn't ask that, now did I? when do you get off of work?" he asked again. you grabbed your phone, your mind quickly jumping to wanting to call the cops or maybe even your boss.
it took you a while to realize what was happening but when you finally focused back, you realized that Dio was behind the customer, staring his back down with eyes that if you knew could kill, he would be dead where he stood. you saw Dio clamp his hand on the mans shoulder, giving it a deathly squeeze.
"don't you listen? she's not interested so leave before you leave this place on a stretcher," Dio stated in his ear. the man instantly froze realizing who it was behind him, "and if I catch you back here at all, you'll be a dead man in an alley. now leave." Dio grabbed the back of his and practically shoving him to ground as he scrambled away like he was a dog on four legs.
you gave Dio a thankful look as the man was now outside, grumbling to himself, "what're you ordering this late at night?" you asked, taking out a cup, expecting another black coffee. he shook his head, "nothing, just wanted to thank you for treating Giorno kindly," you shook him off, not thinking much of it, "it's nothing. he's a sweet kid. his mother is doing a great job raising him, Dio."
he scoffed, "his mom hasn't been in the picture since he was an infant. I've raised him myself," he explained. your eyes widened in surprise, "oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. well, you're doing a great job with him," you replied, trying to remove the awkwardness that was suddenly impending on the both of you.
Dio chuckled, bending over the counter, now face to face with you.
"you know what I always thought? our kids would be ravishing," he whispered. your eyes widened, not expecting what Dio had just said. you giggled nervously, "thank you?" you whispered as you didn't bother to look eye to eye with him. Dio lifted your head with his fingers on your chin.
"I'm serious darling, Giorno would love you as his mother and with a few of our offsprings running around, it'll be the perfect life," your eyes continued to widen as you didn't know what to respond with. you let out another nervous giggle. Dio gave you a smirk, knowing he had you right where he wanted you.
Dio knew he could give you a better life. not one that had you trapped inside of a coffee shop from six am to nine at night. you could live domestically with him and Giorno. taking Giorno to school, shopping to your hearts content, and welcoming him home with dinner sizzling with the cutest lingerie set on.
you had caught Dio's eye the first time he met you. you were relatively younger than he was as he knew you were still in college but to him, that didn't matter. you were gorgeous, someone could reel him in when he was getting too feisty and that wasn't easy for someone to do. all in all, Dio knew he had to have you and that possessive side of him would do anything to make that happen.
"seeing that man near you made me want bury him six feet underground while he remained alive," you grabbed Dio's hand, feeling how strong and thick it was, "i'd kill anyone who harms you."
you scooted closer to the counter before fully smashing your lips onto his. you had no idea that your encounter with Giorno and the creepy man would lead to Dio confessing to you but honestly, who were you to deny him? Dio was very attractive. he practically had a herd of fangirls wanting to date him but he was giving you the chance.
"take me out on a date?" you whispered as you pulled away. Dio nodded, giving you another peck on the lips before taking the phone out of your hand and putting his name into your contacts as you did the same, "I'll text you when and where so be prepared," he informed before giving you another breathtaking kiss on the lips and leaving.

Tumblr media
Your father was the person who taught you the meaning behind some Korean names.
It was some sort of bonding you two did when you were still a kid. The most memorable part was when your mother told you that she was pregnant, thus giving you the opportunity to choose a name for your baby brother.
Of course your father helped you decide. He told you different names and its meanings.
Jeongguk. This was what stuck to you the most. It meant center of the country. The moment you had heard about this, you instantly knew it was the perfect name for the unborn brother.
Jeongguk was meant to shine, to be the center, not just of the country, but of the whole world.
But you failed him.
You failed when there was a very short period of time where you were supposed to be making him the center of your attention.
And so now you reap the harvest of your failure.
Jeongguk was now the center of your life, the main reason why you were stressed out.
"Thanks for letting me know.” You clutched the phone near your ear tighter. "I'll be there soon." It took a lot of energy to say this, but you had to.
It had been months since Jeongguk started living in your apartment. You took him in despite his antipathy. Like hell you'd allow him to go back to his old house.
A house full of liars and users.
Jeongguk wasn't lying when he said your father died of heart attack. Your brother only told you about this weeks after the burial.
Everything had been taken care of. Your aunties, the siblings of your father, paid for all the expenses, but they were demanding to be reimbursed now.
Jeongguk also said that your aunties sold your father's house so now he had no choice but to live with them, but to do so, he first needed to pay for the amount of money they spent for your father’s burial.
Nothing was free. This was what they claimed. The money Jeongguk owed them had interest as well. Aside from this, your aunties also told Jeongguk that he had to pay for his share in rent and utilities monthly. If he couldn't do this, then he wouldn't be allowed to live with them.
Jeongguk begged your aunties to give him some time. It was obvious that he didn't have money, mainly because the siblings of your father took all of his assets.
Your brother felt helpless. He considered living on the streets, but then your aunties told him to go to you. You inherited a lot of money and rumor had it that you leeched off of your rich boyfriends for their wealth.
Jeongguk had been through a lot that was why you couldn't really blame him when did bad things—his way to destress.
"What did he do this time?" But Taehyung wasn't having any of it.
He already knew that Jeongguk got in trouble as soon as he spotted you looking for your car keys, face pale because of trepidation.
You were probably going to wherever the hell Jeongguk was. This had been your new routine ever since the younger boy moved in with you.
You had no idea how many times someone called you to inform that your brother was in trouble.
"The principal called. Jeongguk's in the disciplinary room.”
"Ah," the devil chuckled, bringing the magazine he was reading down on his lap. "Let me guess, catfight?"
"Don't call it that," you gritted your teeth. "This is serious, Tae. We need to go now.”
Although you couldn't say that Taehyung was entirely wrong. The principal explained that the reason why Jeongguk was brought to the disciplinary room was because he beat up his classmates.
You didn't have the chance to ask why since the only thing that was in your mind was your brother's safety.
You were certain you're going to lose your mind if you didn't seem him now.
Fortunately Taehyung realized that you weren't playing around so he did everything in his power to help you.
You couldn't deny that his presence was needed. You had seen his efforts to help you 'raise' Jeongguk.
He didn't look like the devil you knew. It was as though he turned into a person, someone who was simply looking after you because he cared.
Taehyung was no longer punishing you for trying to kill yourself back then, but maybe his reason was because you didn't really have the time to think about suicide now.
As stated, all you wanted to do was help your brother. You were trying to show him how sorry you were because he had to experience horrible things because of you.
It wasn't easy though. You felt like Jeongguk was going out of his way just to spite you. This was evident when you heard his response as to why he beat up two of his classmates.
"They're making fun of my satoori accent.”
You facepalmed. You couldn't believe he was capable of hurting people because of something like this. Jeongguk grew up in Busan and it had only been months since he transferred here in Seoul to study and live with you.
It was natural to still speak with satoori accent. Jeongguk should have just let it go and no—you were not siding with his enemy. They bullied your brother, but then Jeongguk's action was worse.
The two boys he beat up weren’t doing well. The blood on their faces said so. Your stomach was actually turning upside down just by looking at them.
You felt so bad.
But feeling bad wasn't enough.
You knew you had to face the consequence of Jeongguk's action.
No more running away.
"I'm sorry." Your lips trembled as you look at the parents of the victims.
Before they could speak, you already force Jeongguk to get on his knees.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Jeongguk screamed at you, yet you ignored him.
You held Jeongguk down, still forcing him to bow down. You were doing the same thing. Your knees hurt, but it didn't matter.
"Apologize to them, Jeongguk." You whispered to your brother.
He was struggling to remove your hand that was placed on his shoulder, the same hand that was forcing him down.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" Jeongguk was glaring at you.
This whole situation was like a slap in your face. You were forcing Jeongguk to do the things you didn't do when you hurt people in the past.
You could see yourself in him, but he didn't get the protection you had before.
Your mother tolerated your misconduct; you weren’t planning on doing the same.
"Apologize or you won't be getting your share." You whispered with force again.
Jeongguk's gaze darkened.
"You wouldn't dare."
"You very well know that I have the means to cut you off, Kookie." Your menacing tone was enough to send shiver down his spine.
You always got what you wanted. Jeongguk knew he would lose if he defied you.
It was better to say sorry to these dipshits rather than lose his share. He couldn't let you take away everything from him again.
So with his jaw still tensed, Jeongguk slowly turned to the parents of his enemies.
"I'm sorry." His heart was clenching as he said this. It was so difficult. "It's my fault so I'm willing to face the consequence of my action."
To face the consequence of my action. This was something you didn't get to do, yet you knew how painful it was to be the bigger person.
If you wanted, you could simply pay these people to let Jeongguk off the hook, but as stated, you wouldn't do that.
Jeongguk had the chance to be the person you should have been.
This was the right thing to do. The mistake must end with you.
"Don't think for a second that we'll forgive just because you apologized." One of the victim's parents glared at you. "You're a piece of shit. You are raising a monster!"
That was the last straw for Jeongguk. He was about to attack the parent, luckily Taehyung was able to stop him.
Your heartbeat doubled. You knew Jeongguk's action would drive them even madder, and so you bowed even lower, almost kissing the floor.
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry!" You cried.
Taehyung came to know that you were just distracting the parents, so he did what he thought you wanted.
He dragged Jeongguk out of the room before he hurt anyone else.
"My brother and I won't run away. Please. We're sorry!" You crawled until you were just inches away from the parents.
You clasped your hands together, looking up.
Never in your entire life did you imagine doing this, but this was the least thing you could do for Jeongguk.
And so somewhere between sobs and the principal asking you to stand up, you managed to bargain with them. You were going to accept what they wanted, provided that they wouldn't be pressing legal charges against your brother.
They only agreed with this term because you didn't budge when they claimed they wanted Jeongguk to be expelled from this school. This was his punishment. Moreover, you had to pay for the medical expenses of the kids.
That was the end of discussion. You immediately ran out of the room to meet your brother and Taehyung, unfortunately you couldn't contact the both of them.
You didn't know, but Taehyung used his power to teleport him and Jeongguk to your apartment.
Taehyung didn't have much of a choice since the younger man kept on struggling to get away.
At least the action shut up Jeongguk for a short while.
"W-Wait!" To say that he was surprised to witness (and experience) Taehyung's teleportation ability would be an understatement.
Jeongguk was actually flabbergasted.
"I—we..." The younger boy's jaw drop, he blinked rapidly as he examined the place.
He wasn't tripping. He was definitely inside your apartment.
"How did this happen? W-What are you?" Jeongguk was panicking.
He liked to act tough; however he was still a boy. He couldn't fight someone like Taehyung, especially now that he had seen what this devil was capable of doing.
"Ah, it's simple." Taehyung flashed his boxy smile, completely unaware of the fear he was causing Jeongguk to feel.
"I'm the devil. I can do all kind of things—" he showed off more by levitating.
Jeongguk felt like he was going to pass out.
What the fuck.
But Taehyung was not done yet.
Still floating, Taehyung moved closer to your brother. The latter couldn't step backward since his back was already resting against the wall. Besides, he was too stunned to even move.
"—including this," without a warning, Taehyung touched the corner of Jeongguk's lips.
The seventeen year-old boy could only watch as the devil's hand sparkled.
Jeongguk felt strange at first, but then he could feel his bruise and scratches healing.
The two boys who bullied him still managed to throw some punches. It hurt and as seen, it bruised.
"There." Taehyung broke into a much bigger grin. "You look brand new."
Jeongguk touched his face. It didn't hurt anymore.
"A simple thank you would do." The devil's lips protruded into a pout when Jeongguk simply stared at him, saying nothing.
Minutes passed. Taehyung was actually done preparing hot cocoa for him and Jeongguk, yet the latter was still frozen on his spot.
"Why?"
Taehyung was expecting your brother to express his gratitude now that he mentioned how he wanted Jeongguk to say thank you, but your brother was exactly like you—always saying the wrong things.
"What do you mean why?" Taehyung handed the younger boy the cup of cocoa.
Jeongguk took it because he was freezing. It was cold outside and he couldn't deny that he was still a bit shaken after witnessing some bizarre...things.
"You said..." Jeongguk gulped. "You're the devil, so why did you heal me? Why are you helping me?"
Taehyung's brow shot up. Huh. His similarity to you was uncanny.
"That's your concern?" The devil shook his head, there was a smile on his lips. He thought Jeongguk was going to ask why he was lying, or why devils exist—things normal people asked.
"No, it's not," Jeongguk sighed, finally moving around. He paced back and forth after placing the hot cocoa on the table.
He scratched the back of his head as he stared straight into Taehyung eyes.
"I have a lot of concerns, okay!? I don't know why my sister's suddenly acting like she cares, I don't why I feel indifferent when I should be mourning the death of my father! I don't know how you managed to teleport! I'm—"
"Hey..." Taehyung touched the either side of Jeongguk's shoulders, forcing the younger to look at him.
"It's okay. You're okay..."
The devil figured that your brother was having a panic attack. He was probably so overwhelmed with everything that was happening. It didn't help that Taehyung surprised him by revealing his true identity.
Taehyung was such an idiot.
"I'm just so confused." Jeongguk managed to whisper. Tears filled his eyes.
Taehyung helped your brother sit on the couch. He was telling Jeongguk to breathe.
It took a while, but the younger boy managed to steady his breathing. Taehyung gave him more time to calm down before speaking again.
Both of them were sitting on the couch. Jeongguk was staring into the space while the devil was looking directly at your brother.
"I guess I really caught you off guard, huh?" Taehyung chuckled softly. He was carefully observing Jeongguk's expression.
"Were you telling the truth?" Your brother turned to look at Taehyung, which the latter didn't expect. He nodded nonetheless.
Taehyung was selfish. He said things just because. He never cared about what others would feel, but he learned fast. He realized that he shouldn't have revealed his identity just like that.
But he couldn't lie now, could he?
"It's true. I'm a devil." He smiled sheepishly. "The devil of death."
Jeongguk sucked in a breath. He tried to remember if he smoke pot today, but he didn't.
There were only two probable reasons why this was happening.
First: he was going crazy.
Second: Taehyung was telling the truth.
"You can ask your sister about me if you want. She knows."
Jeongguk sucked in a breath once more.
"If you're telling the truth...then...why..." He didn't know if he could question the devil.
Jeongguk was scared of his answer.
"Why did I heal you when I'm supposed to destroy you?" And so Taehyung completed the younger boy's question.
Jeongguk bit the inside of his cheek, nodding.
"It's a long story so I'm just going to tell you one thing.”
For some reason your brother nodded. He was captivated by the devil too. The same feeling you experienced when you first met Taehyung.
"Everything changes, Jeongguk." The devil uttered seriously. "Be it because of a person, experience, or even thing."
Taehyung laughed when he pointed at himself.
"Just look at me. Who would have thought that the devil of death would end up healing a mere mortal like you?"
Temporary, permanently, good change, bad change.
At the end of the day, it was still a change. This change would still affect something that could last forever.
"So yeah," Taehyung clasped his hand together. "I know it's ironic for me to say this, but there's goodness in every person. The one who hurt you before is probably out there, doing everything they can to help you."
Jeongguk knew exactly what Taehyung was talking about. He wasn't really being subtle about it. He used they, yet he was referring to you.
"I'll take that in mind," this was all your brother could say before retreating to his temporary bedroom.
Moments later, you arrived.
"Whoa.” The devil grimaced upon seeing your face.
You looked awful. Your hair was a mess and your eyes were bloody red. You were also shaking. It was cold outside.
"I-Is Jeongguk here? Is he safe? Did you treat his wounds? Do we need to bring him to the hospital—"
"Calm down, Barbie." Taehyung laughed, taking your cold hands to warm them up.
"Your brother is fine," he brought your hands closer to his lips, blowing hot air on them. "I may or may have knocked some senses into him."
You weren't sure about that. Jeongguk was a tough cookie. He had a rough childhood because of you.
"You didn't coerce him, did you?" You crinkled your eyes and Taehyung gasped dramatically.
"What do you take me for?" He tightened his hold on your hands. "I don't do what is not needed, you know?"
"Right." He was clearly talking about what he had to do back when you met Cha Eun Hye at the hospital.
"Jeongguk is sleeping now. I treated his wounds. Don't worry," he winked, though he didn't tell you that he used his power to heal your brother.
He didn't want you to freak out, especially because you seemed...tired.
"Thank you." You sincerely said.
You couldn't imagine this day without Taehyung by your side.
"No worries." The devil licked his bottom lip; his soft eyes made you feel like you were floating in the air.
You had never seen him this calm. The aura surrounding him felt refreshing.
He was still holding your hands.
"—you know I'll do anything for you," Tae continued and suddenly, you no longer felt like you were flying. Right now, you felt as if your heart was sinking deeper and deeper that you thought it was better to just let go and get lost in the abyss of his golden eyes.
You knew he was only saying this because your lives were connected, but the past months didn't feel like an act.
It felt real—like his intention wasn't a selfish act.
You realized that it didn't matter, not when you wanted to be selfish too. Today, you wanted to indulge on his warmth, to the comfort he gave.
And so you embraced him.
The devil didn't hesitate.
He hugged you back.

ukai decides to propose. you've already talked about it, you KNOW you want to spend your lives together, he knows hopes you'll say yes.
(his heart might never recover if you don't)
so he goes about buying a ring. he steals a ring of yours when you're asleep for sizing purposes. selecting a ring wasn't as hard as he'd thought it would be — he knew his budget, he knew what you liked (he's known you your whole life). so he goes out and buys a pretty little silver band inlaid with three tiny diamonds. it's a little heavy on his wallet, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. you deserve nice things.
then came the planning of the actual proposal. this was, he realized, significantly harder than he'd thought it would be.
maybe he should keep it simple? dinner followed by a walk under the stars. he'll get down on one knee and—no. isn't that too cliché? he can do better.
an elaborate treasure hunt throughout your house? maybe he can make up clues based on all the memories you've made together: eating dinner on the floor the first night of moving in because the dining table was too hard to assemble, or learning the importance of separating whites and colours when your favourite white blouse comes out the washing machine stained a murky blue because of that damn t-shirt of his. or something to do with that time you'd had a stomach bug and he'd nursed you through it, staying by your side even after you'd thrown up on him.
no, he decides, it'd be bad if you couldn't connect the clues to these events. besides, he's no literary genius. coming up with elaborate prose for the clues is not a task he considers himself capable of.
then what?
ukai is standing in the karasuno gym, thumbing at the ring box sitting snugly inside his jacket pocket. he'd taken to carrying it around with him after you'd almost stumbled upon the ring hidden behind the plants you'd insisted on keeping in the house.
he's exhausted his creativity racking his brain for ideas. everything he could come up with seemed too cliché, or too cringey, or just downright stupid. he's suddenly brought back to reality when takeda clears his throat next to him, 'is everything okay?' falling from his lips, tone polite as ever.
fuck, he shouldn't be zoned out during practice. he really needs to put a stop to this. ukai looks at the man standing next to him. maybe he could help? takeda was a poet at heart, after all, so he should be able to come up with a romantic proposal.
ukai confides in him, accepting the congratulatory pat takeda gives him. by now, this little interaction has attracted the attention of the nut more curious of his boys. tanaka, nishinoya, hinata gather around him with kageyama creeping up behind them. he can tell that the other members are listening in too, just not as obviously.
'what's the matter, coach?'
ukai eyes his team. it wouldn't hurt to tell them, right? they don't really come into contact with you all that often, and when they do, it's for brief moments only, when you're popping in to drop off his keys or his wallet that he'd forgotten at home.
'i'm, uh, thinking of proposing. bought the ring and everything, just need to come up with a plan now.'
dead silence echoes throughout the gym before complete mayhem breaks out.
he's being congratulated simultaneously by sawamura, azumane, and ennoshita while tanaka and nishinoya are huddled together on the floor, weeping tears of happiness (at least, ukai thinks they're tears of happiness. you can never tell with these two.) tsukishima goes back to sipping at his drink, while yamaguchi's eyes light up, much like yachi's. shimizu, too, offers him a soft smile and a congratulations before tanaka pipes up.
'can we see the ring?!'
well, they already know, so ukai reckons it wouldn't do much harm to let them see it. he reaches into his pocket and takes out the box, flipping it open to reveal the silver band wedged inside. the team crowds around him, oohs and aahs falling from their mouths. tanaka nods somberly, a finger stroking his chin, as he mutters, "excellent choice, coach. she's going to say yes."
"who's going to say yes?"
fourteen pairs of eyes land on you, holding so many emotions in them, from amusement to sheer panic. you stand at the door of the gymnasium, holding ukai's lunch. he'd accidentally taken yours today, so you thought you could pop in to exchange it and see your boyfriend while doing so. but the scene you happened upon was completely unexpected.
ukai scrambled violently with something in his hands, while takeda looked like he'd seen a ghost. the kid with the goatee was panicky, his eyes flitting around for an escape. the two shortest of the bunch were fidgeting with whatever keishin was holding, apparently trying to help him with it.
keyword: trying.
all the jostling and shoving they did managed to knock the thing out of keishin's hands. you squint as it flies through the air — was that a box? — as keishin desperately tries to get to it before it lands in front of you.
he draws on every single diving receive he'd ever done in his entire life and swoops across the gymnasium, towards you.
he does not get there in time.
the box clatters to the ground in front of you, keishin landing there a second later. you're still stuck trying to process the situation, but you have enough presence of mind to lean down and pick up the box, finally being able to see its contents.
oh. oh.
keishin thumps the ground with his first before he looks up at you, eyes filled with resignation. he's quite the sight - his hair had slipped out of his hairband and his nose was bleeding. yet he drags himself to sit up on one knee.
you've already seen the ring. might as well get it over with.
keishin opens his mouth, ready to launch into an unrehearsed speech, cursing the universe with every fiber of his being for making things turn out this way. but you don't give him a chance to say anything.
his eyes widen before he's knocked to the ground by you flinging yourself on top of him. you're hugging him, face buried in his neck, whispering 'yes, yes, yes, always, a thousand times yes' and suddenly he can't bring himself to care about the awkwardness of the situation.
keishin laughs before sitting up, bringing you with him. he gently separates you from him before taking the ring tightly clutched in your palm and slipping it onto your finger. the whole scene feels a little too intimate for a high school gymnasium, but it's only fair that it happens here, he thinks. after all, this is where he'd realised he loved you, all the way back when you two had been first years.
he blinks back the tears suddenly clouding his eyes and restrains the urge to kiss you senseless right there. the two of you had created enough drama for the day. instead he settles for kissing the inside of your wrist as he laces his fingers through yours, before lifting them up in the air, as if announcing his victory.
the entire gymnasium burst into cheers once again. this time it was asahi and kinoshita in tears while hinata and nishinoya jumped around in joy. takeda was grinning ear to ear when he gave you his congratulations, followed shortly by daichi and sugawara. and you could've sworn you saw the senior manager's eyes flit to the bald-headed boy, a blush coating her cheeks. but that was something for another day.
today, right now, you would celebrate. sure, the proposal had been far from ideal, but keishin was yours and you were his and you found yourself wishing it would be this way forever.
i do not know what this is but this scenario refused to leave my mind unless i wrote it down aaaa

Bakugo x reader (v fluffy, some angst, a short and sweet one shot)
TW: Swearing
Note: I love this, because literally no one checked on him after like???? My poor baku baby
And im so sorry I had to post a scs and tag you bc im a dumbass and earlier I accidentally posted it bc I forgot to set it as save as draft-
It was 12 am, and you should've been sleeping. But instead, you were walking the boys halls of the 4th floor.
You didn't care if a camera caught you going into a boys room late at night, your anxiety was just too much for you to handle at this point.
Without knocking, you stuck the key into the door labeled "BAKUGO". Opening the door, you kicked off your slippers as you stepped inside, and quietly shut the door, locking it.
"Katsuki..." You whispered, shaking the shoulder of your sleeping boyfriend.
"Y/n, what the hell are you doing in here?" Katsuki grumbled, rubbing his eye as he sat up. "I was worried about you, but im glad you're okay." You told him, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"Whatever, just go back to sleep-" He attempted to dismiss you, but you weren't letting up that easily.
Swiping his pillow from underneath him, you hit him with it.
"What the-" He was planning on yelling at you, till he saw your face.
Youu had worry lines, and looked like you could cry at anytime. Katsuki sighed, sitting up, taking the pillow from you and propping it up under his back.
"I'm sorry I couldn't come to get you. I really wanted to, but I couldn't because (insert random reason)." You atoned. He shook his head at you.
"I didn't want you coming- or anyone- but especially you. It was dangerous, and you could've gotten expelled." He countered. "So?" You retorted.
"The hell do you mean 'So'? You're not gonna risk your damn life and future for me." He barked.
You knew if you started a conversation like this, it'd go on forever, so you dismissed it.
"Whatever. But honestly I was really worried about you; I've been worried about you." You expressed.
"From when the first time you got attacked, to when you told me how you felt about All Mights retirement, and now." You choked out.
Katsukis head was tilted down, but he was still looking up at you.
"God, it took everything not to march into that board room and punch those reporters for calling you a villain." You scoffed at the memory of what they said, standing up as you started to pace.
"You're not a villain... sure, you have an atrocious temper." You admitted, making Katsuki huff.
"But you're probably the most driven person in the school." You added. "And, anyone could say that you're secretly a softie, and genuinely care for others."
Katsukis face tinted pink, and he rolled his eyes.
Sitting back on the bed, you put your hands on Katsukis shoulders.
"Katsuki, you're strong, and you're kind deep down, and you're far from a villain." You consoled. "But you're still allowed to feel something, if anything it makes you stronger."
He knew you were right, and it'd be hard for him to lie to you and say he was fine. He was far from it, and it was exactly as you said; from the first attack, to All Might retiring, to now. He was definitely making it through, but it still hurt.
Feeling you swipe your thumb on his cheek, Katsuki realized he had started crying.
A moment later, he smiled at you, pulling you into him. He laid down with you, tugging up the covers, holding you chest to chest.
"Thank you." He told you. You hummed, playing with the back of his hair.
"I love you." He whispered, almost inaudible, but you caught it.
"I love you too."
