Eight Day of Gift-Giving: Vacations
Prompt: Even the best vacation tour has to end eventually which makes them end up in this airport, watching the fog outside that keeps their plane from starting.
I couldn't really incorporate a random vacation in the middle of the on-going story, so here's a little standalone again, this time about the band being stuck at an airport in true BC manner 🥰 (so not at all vacation-themed actually, but at least it's rated M because apparently it's becoming a theme for these "off-day" fics 👀)

It was on days like this that Aleksi didn't mind having travelled across the Europe all summer: without all the numerous flights accross the continent within the past months as they had been spreading the tidings of the Violent Pop revolution, Aleksi probably wouldn't have received his Gold membership of their trusted airline quite as fast. Waiting for updates on a delayed flight back home home would always suck big time, but in the VIP lounge, the ordeal was at least a little more bearable – the key word being little.
"Joel looks like he's gonna throw another tantrum soon," Joonas said under his breath, his eyes following Joel who paced around the lounge, only stopping to check his phone every twenty steps.
"And I intend to be as far away from him as possible when that happens," Niko muttered, then nudged Tommi sitting next to him. "Beer?"
"Beer," Tommi agreed and sat up. As they headed towards the bar, Santeri ordered them to keep an eye on their phones in case there'd be a sudden development with the flight situation. However, looking out the large airport windows and seeing the fog thicker than Aleksi's grandmother's pea-soup, Aleksi wasn't going to hold his breath.
"Mmmmmmmhh," Olli's sighed beside him, head on Aleksi's shoulder.
"Sleepy?"
The yawn Olli then strecthed his mouth into answered Aleksi's question.
"I saw some cool sleeping pods when we came here. D'you maybe wanna... try them out?"
Aleksi ignored Santeri clicking his tongue at them.
"Yes, please." Olli's yawn turned into a drowsy smile as he sat up straight to stretch his arms. "Santeri, will you call us once we'll need to be back for boarding?"
"You know what? I'm actually tempted to leave you all behind." Seeing his sarcastic response resulted in nothing but overtired giggles, Santeri rolled his eyes. "Yeah I fucking will, just go."
And off they went before Santeri would roll his eyes at them again (which he did, in fact, behind their backs) and strolled hand in hand through the lounge to the Sleeping Pod Cove, as Aleksi called it in his mind. The way Olli was rubbing the back of Aleksi's hand with his thumb told him he wasn't maybe as sleepy as he seemed after all...

[disclaimer, I’m about to go on a rant about general social communication, so I gotta preface all this with When I say “opinion” I mean harmless personal or media-related opinion. Not political stuff.]
Listen. Ok. Listen to me for a quick second. I’m a communications major so I gotta infodump on you real quick.
In communication studies, there’s a concept called the “spiral of silence” theory. It states that people will tend to withhold opinions that they consider “unpopular” out of fear of social ostracism. Because of this, the most popular opinions gain popularity, while unpopular opinions die out and disappear.
This doesn’t mean that there isn’t a sizable amount of people who hold the unpopular opinions, it just means that they aren’t discussed properly. Everyone enters conversations with these secret biases and thoughts, which contribute to their viewpoint.
It would be easier for everyone if people were able to mention their unpopular views right from the start, so we could all be on the same page and understand where people are coming from with their viewpoints. It shouldn’t be taboo to like something others hate, or to dislike something others love.
But there’s nothing to be done about it. It’s a social and psychological principal that most people tend to avoid social ostracism. Key word “most”.
The standard counter for the spiral of silence theory is that there will always be people who, for whatever reason, are immune to it. Either because in that given moment they consider it okay or safe to say what they’re thinking, or because they’re a public figure who trusts their fans will support them no matter what (think of celebrities talking about weird food combinations they enjoy, which an average middle school girl would be mocked and bullied if she were caught eating), or because they have nothing to lose.
In my case it’s the latter— it won’t have any effect on my life if tumblr thinks my opinions suck. I don’t know if I’d have the same confidence to go to an anime conversation and say “heyyyy ya know Dazai? From hit animanga bungo stray dogs? Yeahhhh he’s kinda a jerk isn’t he?” [also that wouldn’t be the time or place to have that conversation, but that’s besides the point]
But regardless. Ya gotta start somewhere. It’s a good skill to have, to be able to break the spiral of silence. It’s very difficult to start, but once you get going with it, it’ll definitely be a great skill to have for life.
I’m so incredibly proud of you for not only finding the courage to post whatever opinions you want (it’s difficult! It’s scary!), but for also being outspoken on your thoughts irl. You may not realize it yet, but chances are some of your classmates agree with your views and are finding both comfort and courage in you being able to articulate them openly.

Okay, here’s my $0.02 about the Sweetheart poly fic thing. I’m not able to keep things short to save my life, so thanks in advance for reading this lol.
Sweetheart has these vulnerabilities and insecurities that she’s not willing to let most people see. She’s built up walls and puts on a mask to guard herself. It took months of being consistent, of Ridoc chipping away at her “armor”, and then the realization that he saw through the steely facade to her “soft heart” from the beginning for her to be willing to let him in.
That hasn’t happened with Sawyer. And though I have no doubt you have the skills to create a scenario where we can believe she’s willing to let him in too, I’m not sure that him just stumbling in and joining them would work for her.
And even if you build up the trust between her and Sawyer and make him prove himself, I kind of feel like Ridoc is just her person. Like he’s the only one that fits with her just right, and their little relationship needs to be protected at all costs. Like adding someone else to the mix would detract from how rare and genuine it was for Ridoc to see *her*.
Also, just as a side note, with the part where Sawyer’s like, “God, he’s always like this *eyeroll, eyeroll, eyeroll*” it gave me more of a Garrick with Violet vibe. Like he approves of her and would even be friendly with her, but he’s just glad his bestie found the right girl.
Obviously I trust you, and if you do end up writing it with Sweetheart, I’m still going to love it. But those are just my thoughts. I’m all for a poly fic, and that even fits well for Ridoc and Sawyer. But based on what we’ve seen of Sweetheart so far, I don’t know that it fits “her”.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to recruit some more Garrick girlies so we can win the other poll. There’s enough Liam content out there already.

I was originally thinking it could be a cool dynamic to have this seemingly cold and un-affectionate girl with two smiley idiots (using that word affectionately lmao) absolutely in love with her and everyone else is just like. how did that happen. but the problem there is that she'd have to trust Sawyer enough to let him see her vulnerable, let alone to touch her (she isn't very touchy at all, something she's going to have to work through with Ri as their relationship progresses).
I like the comparison you made of Sweetheart and Sawyer to Vi and Garrick -- they're chill, they'll protect each other if needed, but that's kinda it (and of course, both boys are going to lightly make fun of their bro for simping, but like you said, at the end of the day they're just glad he has someone).
I definitely want to develop Sweetheart's friendships with the rest of the gang in future chapters. She's kinda the extra one in the marked group, not having a bestie or a partner, so down the line as she becomes more comfortable with Ridoc, she's going to become part of their gang and get pulled into their shenanigans, wether she wants to be or not lol
Now I just have to find a good petname for the boys to use for reader in the other fic... how do we feel about princess? they certainly take very good care of her... maybe that's too corny tho. idk.
Garrick's only three votes behind Liam in the bonded-dragons poll right now, (four days to go!) but even if he doesn't come out on top, I still have two spicy pieces for him in the works: him with angel and the sunflowers (during what was I made for?), and one with a different reader (teaser here 👀)

Ok so I think about them an unhealthy amount so here's the ask I asked about a while ago.
Their sexual dynamics are kinda fascinating and in another show that would've been explored more. (I have so many questions- some of them are on a literary level and the others not so much lol)
Marissa said that they never had a problem with attraction and being emotionally unavailable made them want each other more. Their difference in experience and how it might have affected their dynamic- ex: Ryan sleeping with Theresa soon after splitting with Marissa (who had a regretful sexual experience with her ex and was waiting with Ryan) because of old habits, but she said like one line about it and that's it. (Now that I think about it, it's weird that Ryan said before their date that he's never, like, fully dated girls before aside from hooking up even though Theresa existed, I guess he wasn’t counting that because it was on and off?). We saw how Marissa's trauma of being assaulted affected their sex life but only for like one time when it's an interesting discussion too, and so could've been the Gabrielle predatory thing (when he said that he was with another girl and Marissa pointed out that she was a woman- knowing this show she probably meant it in a "omg she's so experienced im so jealous" kinda way but it's clear that her being older wasn't ok for her, at least not as ok as it was for him.
There's also all the sexual jealousy (as it's apparent from my asks, MV jealousy era was my favourite for being funny af, but there's also Ryan/Gabrielle and Luke/Marissa which were just painful) but also despite the intensity, there's a bit of assurance and comfort there ("what strippers? I don't know any strippers"/"you got a lap dance?"). They were being walked in on all the time and Marissa did say she wasn’t into PDA much (but I'm not sure if it was about Trey?) they were also "one of those couples" which means they didn’t keep their hands off each other, either. Ooh there is so much material lol- I shudder to think but HBO Ryissa would've been like 👀
You know this is something I was thinking about a few weeks ago. I'm probably not gonna answer this well but it's gonna be long. So first off, it is very insane for Marissa to say that she and Ryan were going at it during all of s3 when the narrative is relatively sexless for every couple until it's turned up wildly in 3x18 for a ratings and demographic shift (other people can speak about this better than I). I've talked about that 3x18 line before and it's so weird to shoehorn it in like they do; we're supposed to believe RM have been fucking this whole time? What? 3x14 showed us in their intimate scene that they haven't been doing this a lot since it serves as a means of reuniting them. But, hey, maybe they have and it's just weird shit between M/B that kept it from our consciousness. But like I said earlier, this season was so sexless until much later when it's turned up to 100 (and those irl dynamics were also very bad so like.... mess).
We're also supposed to believe RM didn't sleep together after 2x20 when "I think we can do better than the front seat of Sandy's car" is insanely suggestive. Not to say they did it right after getting back together but like....... idk. Them only having sex for the first time in 3x03 is narratively so far-fetched. Obv there weren't a lot of times they could in s2 since they're kept apart for plot reasons and then as soon as they reunite the Trey stuff happens.
BUT
Their comfortability in mid-s1 when they're dating is so easy. It's very hard to believe these teens weren't sleeping together. Ryan is largely unsupervised and pretty much has his own apartment! And they're both not virgins as we know. It's only when Marissa says in 1x19 that they haven't that we all have to be like oh??? And it's a teen soap so these things are usually documented for the audience, but still it's like please. Especially after 1x14.
All that said, lol, the way I see RM approaching intimacy is that from a young age neither of the two really associate sex with love. We know Ryan's experienced by 16 (though I personally think he exaggerates how many girls he's been with). There's at least Theresa who clearly did not exist in the narrative until 1x11. There's no way she and her mom wouldn't be in Ryan's mind when he's been abandoned in 1x01 and calling all his friends for a place to stay. So!!
For whatever (plot) reason, RM don't sleep together until 3x03. But Marissa rushes into sex with Luke in 1x06 for all the reasons I mentioned here. And she's incredibly hurt in 1x26/1x27 to learn that Ryan rushed into sex with Theresa right after their breakup. She spends the summer between s1 and s2 thinking about that and probably assuming they have sex then too (she looks surprised to hear in 2x02 that it "wasn't like that at all"). And then she starts having casual sex with DJ that summer. The DJ storyline is so so bad from its inception but we're at least led to believe she's sexually active. They tried to make DJ a viable romantic option but it was so bad from the start that at least it finally ends.
Marissa doesn't even get to associate sex with real, heartfelt romantic feelings until Alex and that's then pulled out like a rug from under her before they pivot her back to Ryan when Lindsay leaves. So she still doesn't associate sex with love. THEN she's assaulted and goes through all that fun trauma. R/L have a few scenes that imply they may be sleeping together but I think if they did we'd have seen it or at least heard about it.
Which brings us to 3x03 and RM both being in a place where sex and love can be working together. I think Ryan has love for Theresa but let's be honest that boy will never be ~in~ love with her and that's a major missing part of their relationship. 3x03 gives us the heightened Hawaii plot and that positions RM to realize this is the time because she's leaving and you know It's About The YearningTM. I don't think the scene itself is great because of the choreography and the stupid editing but what leads up to it "Are you sure? It'll make it that much harder for you to leave" is just SOOOOOOO
If we understand that RM have been having a bunch of loveless, emotionally unavailable sex in s3 I don't think it's much of a stretch to imagine them jumping into bed with the people they then jump into bed with in late s3. And in many ways it's like as soon as they were able to marry sex and love in 3x03, they reverted back to these people who saw it as something else. That speaks to how s3 was so fucking bad.
A few things:
Yeah I think the PDA line in 2x22 carried over to 2x23 is only really about Trey and her bruise that she's concerned with; their PDA in front of their friends in 1x15 meant nothing to them. I can't imagine they cared more about schoolmates seeing them than they did their friends (and Marissa's ex)
I think M is so hurt about Gabrielle in 1x06 and 1x07 for all those reasons. That she's older "Actually, I think she was a woman" and that Ryan could hook up with someone random the same day he's all but asked her to make a romantic choice "the last time I saw you, you kind of had your hands full"
The way that Marissa has quiet confidence in Ryan with other women is very sweet in 1x26 "what about strippers?", 2x21 "South Beach for a little spring break action?" and 3x09 "you got a lap dance?" it's actually very interesting to contrast that with Seth who kisses women in BOTH Vegas and Miami when he's still in a quasi-relationship with Summer at the time
I know for a fact I didn't answer this very eloquently (if I answered it at all) but it's a really interesting subject!
Also, considering I head canon RM being FWB in college I think it'd take a while for them to acknowledge how in love they've always been with one another. Because of their shared traumas, lingering resentments, trust issues, etc. *cue 'tis the damn season*

HI OKAY SO sorry about the wait I had a really busy week (or three) at work but I wasn't ignoring you I prommy
So I have a ton of Inquisitors but specifically the one I was thinking of is Tristan Trevelyan, my terrible terrible boy from the Wrong Answers Only playthrough. The general concept for that worldstate is "what if I just make the objectively wrongest choice in every instance" and I will almost certainly never actually play it (can't bring myself to do some of the choices x.x) but it's a delightful thought experiment, particularly in the "what kind of person would you have to be to act like that in this situation" department. Just to give you an idea: the Warden in that run DOESN'T rescue the dog from Ostagar. It's that bad.
So Tristan! A nobleborn artificer rogue (really he should be a Champion if we were allowed to cross-class spec, but of the rogue options artificer makes the most sense. He's a tricksy bastard and besides, tempest is too messy and assassin is a little too denial-of-the-self-y.), Tristan is at the conclave because his mage cousin was going with the delegation from Ostwick and he wanted to travel. He learned most of his rogue skills sneaking out of the family home to go get into trouble in town, and he is primarily concerned with his own personal comfort and advancement. Mostly, at least before the conclave, he's content to wait. His father is a pretty powerful noble and he's the oldest son so as long as he doesn't do anything TOO heinous, he'll inherit and then he can do whatever he wants. He's twenty six and unmarried, though he's been kinda lazily courting one of the daughters of a noble out of Starkhaven. He's starting to think his father is taking too long to die/retire and should maybe hurry up, and maybe he needs some help... But only if there's no way for it to trace back to Tristan, obviously.
Then he gets caught up in the explosion and survives, and suddenly everyone's calling him the Herald of Andraste, and he really doesn't need his father's estate if he's in charge of the greatest military force on the continent, now does he? Basically the Inquisition offers him power beyond his wildest dreams and he 100% leans into that shit. He is the gaslight gatekeep girlboss king, and he makes every choice directly dependent on growing the Inquisition's power and thus, his own. He goes "yes actually I WAS sent by the Maker in your time of greatest need, I'm here to rescue you from everything. All you have to do is exactly what I say~"
The issue with him is that he's way too smart for his own good, so he always pushes just far enough to get what he wants and no farther. He's incredibly deft at keeping himself out of trouble by not being held accountable for the shit he absolutely did. Did the envy demon at Therinfall get him? No, he's just like that, actually the demon was a little freaked out by his ambition and ruthlessness. Also, he's unfairly attractive. Appearance-wise I like to think of him as one of those ethereally beautiful people that can sometimes happen when one parent is Chinese and the other one is from like central Africa? I'm thinking specifically of a guy I knew in college who could literally knock me out by smiling in my direction. Anyways.
He's a hanging judge except for when the person in question could maybe help him, in which case he takes their stuff and/or throws them in prison. He loves the skyhold prison, it's huge. The only people in that whole place he gets along with are Varric (zero morals but very loyal, exactly Tristan's kind of guy), Leliana (further hardened), Cassandra (cop), and Vivienne (pro-establishment free marcher who sees a lot of herself in Tristan). Solas and Sera both hate his guts, Iron Bull doesn't trust him as far as he can see him (not as far as he can throw him because he could probably yeet Tristan quite a ways, and his suspicions turn out to be confirmed uhhhh rip the Chargers), and Blackwall clocks him as the type of guy that Ranier used to be (but turned up to 11) in about 30 seconds flat. Cole really doesn't understand him at all, and after a few botched attempts to get in his head (Tristan reacts REALLY badly to that kind of thing after the demon at Therinfall, and Cole was there for that so really all the sweet baby is doing is giving Tristan flashbacks while he tries to help) he just decides to drift around helping other people. Dorian... Ok he definitely sleeps with Dorian but he also says homophobic slurs. Which is not ideal for anyone. Bull tries to kinda protect Dorian from that nonsense at the beginning but after the Chargers, well... It's not good. Josephine is briefly delighted by having someone else competent at crowd control, then she gets to know him and treats him much like people treat the Du Launcets in DA2. Cullen isn't really in a place to have much of an opinion, Tristan is way too much like a smoother version of the worst commanders Cullen has had in the past for him to do a lot other than paperwork and panic attack.
So I feel like @the-chantry-sucks-ass's boy Aeryn would meet Tristan one time and be like "ah yes this is a Prophet of God" and Tristan would clock that in an instant, and especially since Aeryn's best skill seems to be killing the shit out of whatever happens to be in front of him. Tristan would take one look at an incredibly dedicated, very capable, very stabby man and go "perfect, mine now." (And from what I understand Aeryn would be pretty into that...)

HI HELLO <3 thanks for sending !!!!!! we are in very different fandoms now, but i followed bc i used to be a crazy malora stan and your fics were like Formative for me lol, i respect you a lot as a writer. i've read some of your non-malora stuff, even though i'm not really that involved in other fandoms you wrote for, and i thought they were amazing tbh, i just enjoy your writing a lot! it's like a fun mix between a really elevated writing style you'd find in like real literary classics haha and some very like Modern Choices, which absolutely Sends Me, i love it. at least that's how i view your style, i might be wrong about this haha ! (also -- new disaster???? had me wheezing and wailing, also some wentworth fics you wrote were like chef's kiss. i also loved the orpheus/eurydice thing !!!!!! -- i don't have to mention all your malora stuff has me in a chokehold lol and will continue to have me in a chokehold for as long as i live)
3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
it has to be either my ruin tastes so sweet or when the last restraint is gone -- i think both of those really pushed me out of my comfort zone! in when the last restraint is gone i tried my best to like stick to what is true to the period in terms of how the characters act, what they know about the world, how they might perceive a lesbian relationship, also i really pushed myself and experimented with the smutty scenes! i also tried to incorporate a couple of poems (goblin market by christina rossetti in particular) in the actual smut + the entire work as like an overarching theme of sorts. it's by no means perfect, and i still have a chapter or two to go to conclude the entire thing, but it's MY schmeksy victorian fantasy. may or may not be heavily inspired by tipping the velvet by sarah waters which i was Obsessed with when i was 14 it was very formative lol. so this fic will always have a special place in my heart! it's my lil indulgent thing that i put a lot of effort into!
the other thing i kinda have to mention is my ruin tastes so sweet -- it's a lil lucifer one shot (gwendoline christie's lucifer has me on my fucking knees aksdjfhgfgkds like if you didn't watch the sandman and don't intend to, just like watch her scenes, it's VERY well spent 15 mins of your life i guarantee it dsajfhfda). i am rather proud of that one, and i think it could be read as a standalone thing even if you know nothing about the sandman! i am also planning a new chapter for that one (or maybe a couple stay tuned to see heheheheheh), i wanna explore what it means to fall as an angel a bit more!
5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write?
ooooof, that's a hard one. i am sorta in the mindset of i'll at least *try it*, even if i don't think i'll do a great job of it or if i think it might be a silly idea no one would be interested in! so there isn't a lot that i'd think of and then Not Write, i'd at least give it a shot! i am writing a REALLY weird jan stevens fic, idk how it will land, but i am honestly having so much fun!
22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?
usually no! i have like a couple of Directions i am considering going in, i am not like totally Clueless ahahah, but i let the story sorta guide me as i write it! i only have a sort of a set ending in mind for my ruin tastes so sweet right now (and i also usually have set endings for one shots -- for longer things i just sorta let the fates decide ahahha).

Okay so you probably won’t answer this because spoilers (I will ask despite this tho lol) but what happens when everyone does find out about what Tommy is?
And are there others from the over-world in the mortal realm doing what Tommy’s doing right now too that he knows? And if yes, are they able to recognise each other? Or even if he doesn’t know them can over world people recognise their own kind on the mortal plains?
And what do the tasks consist of? Like I know h d gotta get items and stuff but how obscure can some of the items be?
And when he gets them: what happens to the items? Do they just like sit in a box or does he like use a magic quill or something a mark an item with a symbol that makes it disappear??? Like what happens when he’s got an item or completed a task that Tommy knows he’s got the right thing?

and yes they would be able to recognize each other, purely from their features. i've not entirely figured it out and somehow forgot to mention it but tommy's wings come back in after he gets his first task, just to give him a lil boost. but for some reason i haven't figured out yet, if you haven't been to the overworld you can't see them. so only one other person (plus dream) can see them! which actually leads to the first reveal !!
the tasks are pretty different! there is only one that can be found in the mortal realm. all the other ones can be found in other realms! (remember there are four well-known realms. there are others!)
the tasks are generally like some type of plant or something hard to get, just to prove tommy's loyalty and determination with things. and his strength. yk,,,
well apart from them getting stolen once, he keeps them on his desk after he gets them. after that incident he keeps them somewhere more secure! hhh i like the idea of a symbol i will definitely use that. if you still remember the paper and pencil i mentioned, both of them are inflicted with some type of magic that can take it to the overworld, and i'll use your symbol idea so he can mark it and have it get sent. THANK YOU :D and btw dream just takes them whenever he has the time to. he kinda illegally visits tommy using the whole like "guardian angel" type feature the overworld has, hence the hurt/comfort fic i showed u!
tommy knows he's gotten the right thing because it's on a slip of paper, generally telling him of the location and a tiny description of it. sometimes it comes in like a poem form tho that could possibly mislead him!
hmm u really want me to spoil that? wasjdgsjd im jk it's rlly not that big. techno is! tommy goes digging around an old ancient place and finds a book titled "memory", which he sees it's for recovering a persons memory, and he tries it on techno, just because a question had been nagging on him and he wanted the answer. techno looks eerily similar to an old warrior & deity, "blade" (i'll come up with a more creative name i promise) turns out he is. and then cause of the recovered memory he can see tommy's wings since he's been to the overworld and boooom yeah
i honestly am having a hard time deciding whether or not techno should be actual family to phil & wil or not, i'm considering having him be a neighborhood friend that just hangs around, like w/ soot house. either way would work,,,,

Lawrusso Dream
Okay, so out of the blue I had a Lawrusso dream last night. Haven’t had one of them before, so this was fun, lol, and I figured I’d share it.
The dream started with me on Netflix, and I found that Cobra Kai was doing a sort of, idk, companion series? Like Cobra Kai was still running, but they made another series and it was called......... Cobra Kai: Dirty Dancin’
Yep. That’s the title they went with XD.
Anyway, so I clicked into it out of curiosity and it just, threw me into some middle episode. Now, the concept for this new show was something like, Daniel had another daughter, but she’s like, 10 or 11 or something, and she’s in this dance studio for competitive dancing and it’s run by Kreese’s sister, who’s basically just a female version of Kreese lol.
So, Daniel’s daughter (no she didn’t get a name), is meddling into whatever nefarious things are going on in the dance studio, because of course. But I think she was also looking through some box that had been hidden beneath Daniel’s bed?
And then it kinda switched to a flash back sequence for Daniel, where it’s shortly after Karate Kid III, and he’s joined the dance studio. Note, Daniel was wearing leg warmers and tights under some shorts and like a little workout band around his forehead, lol, it was cute. Anyway, he’s there at night after hours when the Cobra Kai boys show up, and somehow they all get stuck there? (Dream logic what’cha gonna do?) They’re all in like a back room or basement area, and Daniel’s annoyed by them being around so went back to the main studio area to practice dancing. Johnny followed him after hearing Dutch make some lewd comments about Daniel, and he watched Daniel for a moment before coming up behind him, doing that one move from the final dance in Dirty Dancing, where he runs his hand along Daniel’s side? And then they did one of the other moves from the song as well, like where Johnny (DD Johnny) holds Baby’s waist as she has her hands up and kinda sways back and forth? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpmILPAcRQo timestamp 30 seconds for the first move, and 1:16-ish for the second) Yeah, so it was Johnny and Daniel doing that bit instead of Johnny and Baby.
The flashback ended and it was current Daniel standing in the dance studio (wearing a red shirt), and he’s just kinda standing there upset about Cobra Kai stuff as well as he and Amanda having actually divorced. Johnny walked through the doors and he’s asking what Daniel’s up to, then what’s wrong. They sort of circle each other because Daniel lashes out a bit, until they end up standing super close, like, if Johnny leaned down a little he could rest his forehead against Daniel’s. Or kiss him. But then Daniel walked away and sat on a chair by a table. Johnny sat in the second chair there, and they’re sitting facing each other, but next to each other. Like, Johnny’s chair is slightly behind Daniel’s and their thighs are touching. Daniel finally had a full breakdown and he hunched in on himself, before kinda leaning towards Johnny, like he was hoping for something. Then, after a couple moments, Johnny pressed his hand against the back of Daniel’s neck, and pulled him over and against his chest. Daniel was partially in his lap, though still sort of in his own chair. But his face was pressed against Johnny’s shoulder/chest, with Johnny running his fingers through Daniel’s hair, and rubbing the back of his neck, with his other arm kind of wrapped around Daniel. It was slightly sensual, but mostly just very sweet and comforting. And there was this implication that Johnny and Daniel had been close like this before, had some sort of intimate relationship.
And then the episode ended, and my dream self was both thrilled, but also shouting at my computer for them to kiss lol. I was gonna watch the rest of the show, but then the dream ended and I woke up.
So yeah, that was the dream. It was pretty intense, in a good way (and that last scene had some mild D/S tones so 👀) but like, it was also kinda silly, lol. But hey, if this sparks some inspiration in anyone and they make a fic, send me the link? ‘Cause I’d totally read it.

both got strong bond! Legosi canonically has a much deeper relationship with Louis throughout the manga.
• What makes me sad about them:
in the first episode there’s one scene, he talks down to and borderline harasses Legoshi for no reason other than because he's a wolf! it kinda pissed me off. after finding out that Haru was kidnapped by Shishigumi, he takes his anger out on Legosi for like no reason. like why??? (but he got a good character arc in the late chapter! i just dislike him in the earlier arc)
• Things done in fanfic that annoys me:
when they made Haru the rival! gotta protect the bunny (but hey the filter button is there so I don’t really interact that kind of stuff if I do not like it)
• Things I look for in fanfic:
I don’t really read fanfic these days but given to it’s popularity and lots of recommendations from reddit, I heard We're Only Animals is one of the most popular fics. so yeah go check that out!
• My wishlist:

1. atm it’s christmas warfare, i read it recently when i was in need of a sweet story and christmassy exes to lovers REALLY hit the spot. i feel like that kind of dynamic can be difficult to write bc of all the background/context that needs to be there for the story to feel real, but i think you nailed it!! really enjoyed it:)) oh also yoongi made me laugh out loudddd

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
I love softness and soft boys, including fat characters whose weight is a reflection of their comfort, fatness as femininity or soft masculinity (because like hard roundness and fatness as a hyper masculine trait kinda makes me feel yucky). So I also hc a lot of characters as enby or transfem. I love to include body/size contrast, teasing/bullying, and I switch between and blend loving, worshipful, fluffy stuff and kinkier, harsher, meaner stuff. Idk I'm answering this bit poorly 😅
I also can't think of how to phrase this well so I'm just going to try to say it poorly. I try to use what I write as like a way to demystify fat sexuality. Like I think fatness in general/having sex as a fat person can be radical and queer. I think people have preconceptions about what kink+fatness is and not know the breadth of the community. So I'm trying to show my point of view as a fat queer person, and how I think people could find body size variability sexy if they broadened their minds. I have a more radical way I'd put it, but I really don't want to be cancelled lol 😂

I have to get back into a few WsIP I have. I need to finish remedial bio, I want it to have heartstopper vibes and I'm planning a prom scene I think. I also have a John Hughes style Steddie highschool au fic I started with a friend, but we haven't found a lot of time that we can both write. That one's gonna be called "He's All That" and the premise is: Bisexual king freak Eddie Munson is a chubby chaser. He and Chrissy used to date when she was bigger, but break up amicably (still friends) after she loses a bit of weight and becomes a cheerleader. Meanwhile, over summer break, Steve comes out as gay while working at some sports camp and gets a minor injury while hooking up with another counselor. On the first day of senior year, Eddie hears from Garreth that Steve came out and Eddie's not all that impressed, until he sees Harrington roll up to school looking pleasantly plumped up from his convalescence, and knows he has to get a piece of that.
🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?
My favorite character to write is Mickey Milkovich, like I feel like I just get him. I love writing Ian Gallagher adoring Mickey too, as well as my other boys (Steve, Eddie, Aegon, etc). I'm always looking for new blorbos though.

hi! so, i was rereading all the stuff set in the "hold me, heal me" universe, and i was wondering if you were thinking about having donghyun end up as red's "sidekick"/partner in crime-fighting? i'm imagining the power of a battle couple who are soulmates so they can heal each other as soon as they get hurt - they'd practically be invincible! (though they could also start getting really reckless since they know they could be healed right away, which could come back to bite them if they have to go out on their own... somehow that feels like something tag and his soulmate in this universe would do lol)
omg now that's an idea! I honestly think though that this au's Donghyun is not built for combat 😭 I think I imagined him becoming part of the scheme, but more in a support/backup way, mostly because he can't punch for shit lol. of course Red teaches him some self defence, but they also don't want him on the field lol they care about him too much. also in my imagination for this au, the soulmate healing is magic, but it's a rather slow process, so I don't know if Red and Donghyun would benefit enough from it to fight together. if two people who were already adept at combat were soulmates though 👀 they'd be a tough match for sure
idk if you want this but under the cut I'll put what I kind of plans I had for the characters (it's not all the members because I haven't thought that far)
Daeyeol and Sungyoon are both in love with the same person who is Daeyeol's soulmate but Sungyoon's partner (we knew this idk why I'm writing it). I had an idea for a small fic centred around pediatrician Sungyoon and his insecurities about being with someone who has a soulmate. it would be mostly about reader comforting him, but also I'd hint in there that Sungyoon actually knows Red's identity through Jangjun
(I can't really do that though because in Hold Me; Heal Me I explicitly wrote that Donghyun's the first one to see Red unmasked. I'd love to retcon that, but I feel like it's been published for too long :/ )
but if I did retcon that, Jangjun would be Red's best friend and "man in the van" except he's got a motorcycle because um Jangjun + motorcycle is hot. and Sungyoon would've been asked by Jangjun (against Red's wishes to have as few people involved as possible) to help Red when they're injured. this is why Red only went to Donghyun six months after finding out he was their soulmate. they didn't want to get him involved, but they got shot in a mission both Jangjun and Sungyoon told them not to go on. but yeah the team would be Red and Jangjun and occasionally Sungyoon
so not only is Sungyoon worried that his partner has a soulmate, that soulmate is also trying to uncover his friend Red's identity
also jibeom and jaehyun host a radio show that often talks about Red
no plans as of yet as per the rest of the members but you've kinda got me thinking... 👀

🧚♂️Fairy: What standards does your S/I or F/O set for themselves? Are they different from their standards for others?
I stopped setting standards for me in the way of like, goals. my standards now are just like. be a good person and don't hurt anyone LOL (this goes both in-verse and irl)
Lance sets for himself very high standards, for discipline, training, work, etc etc. I'm surprised he lets me get away with doing less than half as much as he. which ig is why clair didn't like me for so long.
He tends to hold those in the Dragon Clan up to the same standards across the board, but bc of his cousin's competitive nature, he does tend to come across as more... higher standards expected to her than the others. The standards he sets for Silver have adjusted over time, based off both the changes Silver's made as a person who's healing, but also by the same standards that Silver sets for himself. Somewhere between the two is kind of where they meet?
🪨 Rock: Is there something your S/I or F/O rebels against? How dedicated is their rebellion?

I mean, other than me with my family, we kinda don't have any rebellious streaks going? Though I couldn't ever see Lance as being rebellious intentionally xD Not unless it went against his moral codes xDD
I, on the other hand, can be a stubborn ass, so there might be some points of rebellion as far as my stubbornness needs to take me. but nothing outright counter to anything that I can think of? except maybe gender now but w/e that's a queer argument and discussion i'm not getting into rn.

Hmmm.... I am sure there is some, for both of us, but I can't quite recall what my expectations were for him anymore.
I suppose for him, anything one could expect from a hyperactive, easily excited and powerful trainer? whatever the word(s) for that would be, it all went kaput when the depression attacked. So he had to learn how to adjust his expectations. Something he was sorta used to doing, since he's helped many people train or grow in his time with the Dragon Clan, especially as a leader, but like. I don't think he was used to lowering his standards/expections by so much.
🐲 Dragon: How does your S/I or F/O handle failure? What sort of comfort/support would they give each other, or want from each other?
i don't.
When it's failure as a Pokemon trainer in some way (like Gym Battles, or in knowing our pokemon, or s/t), we do our best to get up, figure out the problem, and try again.
For other stuff that's not so simple... idk. we still kind of apply the same philosophy, but it hurts more in that capacity bc we're not so used to failure in those situations?
we definitely do our best to make each other feel better, or help or make sure we know that we're there for the other. i want lots of hugs and headpats and to be comforted hehe. he tends to want space.

just came in here to say that i absolutely LOVE your new fic!!! i’ve been having a hard time lately and it sort of lead to me getting very uncomfortable when reading fics, especially smut fics, idk why. i’m kinda dabbling in reading againgbc i truly miss it but so far everything i’ve read made me uncomfortable again BUT this fic didn’t!!!! i’m so happy🥺 it was exactly what i needed, and it’s also extremely relatable, there are some people that i love that i really really wish i could meet like right now, but can’t. the way you described the excitement and emotional chaos of finally having that moment was incredible and made me cry so hard out of happiness and sadness at the same time. the hinted smut at the end was just enough (for me) to be like ooooh👀 but not be uncomfortable bc of explicit stuff happening. it’s just 🤌!!!!!! sorry for rambling🙈🙈 i hope you have an amazing day!☺️ (- a shy person you know but doesn’t what to expose themselves whoops)

i don’t think you understand how happy it makes me to know that one of my fics made you feel so comfortable and happy at the same time. i can understand the whole smut thing, sometimes it’s unnecessary in a fic and it’s just added to be added. usually if i’m writing a smut fic the whole fic is based around smut so it’s like made aware of from the beginning.
but yes! my friend told me to hint at the smut at the end but to not add it because it would be unnecessary and it was perfect as a cute fluffy fic in itself so that’s exactly what i did. again, im so happy that this fic brought you comfort. all i try to do is bring smirks to the faces of those who read my fics and you my friend are one of the main reasons why i continue to write content.
