I have a headcanon that Natasha got her callsign because she was in a nasty crash early in her career where her fighter went up in flames. She managed to escape it but not without getting a horrible burn over her upper back and up into her hair. It eventually healed but she was left with a large burn scar visible above her neckline with a lot of her hair not growing back due to the scar tissue.

She was insecure about it for a while, hesitant to tie her hair up and put her scars on display. But then someone called her "Phoenix" saying that she "rose from the ashes of her fighter" and she gained a whole new level of confidence once the nickname caught on. Eventually, it stuck for good and became her callsign. She wears her hair up often now, proudly showing off her scars, her history.

He's far from done however, and in the dead of night, he whisks them away to an old, abandoned house said to be haunted by vengeful ghosts, much like the stories of the House of Lamentation

There, he immobilizes them with another curse and sets to work with a sharp-tipped pen, carving every last word of what you told him into your ex's flesh

His hand is steady as the pen slices into their body, but each time he reaches a part that especially infuriates him, he can't help but dig the pen a bit deeper in, taking vicious delight in the way their eyes water in those moments, and the wheeze of pain that emerges from their frozen lips

Once he's written out everything you told him across their body, he does what would be unthinkable to an actual book but what he finds perfectly fitting for this human stain upon the world, and sets up a pulley to gradually lower them into a firepit in the backyard

As they are slowly engulfed by the flames, he reads the whole tale upon their body out loud to them, making sure they hear every last word and know exactly what they did wrong before they finally perish

ASMODEUS

The Avatar of Lust, while he perfectly understands and embodies desire, is not forgiving of those who disregard consent

Beelzebub, in his ever-protective way, grows angry as you tell him about your abusive ex, but first and foremost his concern is making sure you're okay

He's quiet -- quieter than usual, even -- but fully present for you, reassuring you in the warm comfort of his large embrace

He holds you gently the whole time you're talking, and even for a while after, making sure you're feeling okay before he lets go

As thanks for being brave enough to talk about it, and for trusting him enough to tell him, he takes you out for anything at all that you'd like to eat, showering you with affection

He's perfectly happy to take it slow if/when you do eventually decide to ease into anything sexual, and he's so, so careful about his strength and size

His excellent sense of smell helps to guide him too, able to pick up the scents of happiness, desire, fear, lack thereof if you're dissociating, etc., and he adjusts himself accordingly to keep you feeling safe

And in general, though he may not have known you back then, he's filled with resolve to at least protect you from here on out

He won't fail to keep safe someone he cares about, not again -- and that means taking care of any lingering threats from your old life, too

It takes a bit of searching for Beelzebub to find your ex, but he goes up to the human realm and manages to seek them out soon enough because flies are good at seeking out rotting piles of trash

It takes a lot of restraint not to gobble them up on the spot and be done with it, but for how much they put you through, he thinks they deserve to suffer at least a bit

He snatches them away to a hidden alley behind a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, long after they've closed for the night but with the fragrant scent of meaty burgers still lingering through the air

If the shot of venom didn't already leave their muscles feeling tender, the incessant hits of the brutal physical beating from Beel certainly does

No part of their body is spared from the onslaught of punches and kicks, as joints pop apart and bones start peeking out from flesh through the wounds

Thin, spear-like tubes emerge from Beelzebub's mouth, piercing various veins across their neck and arms so he can drink up all the blood from their veins before it spills out all over the alley floor -- it'd be a waste of a perfectly good drink, after all

Once they're fully drained, he cracks open their carcass, carving each bone loose with knife-like claws for him to crunch on

Then into the restaurant's industrial meat grinder goes the rest of their body

Beel feasts with a certain satisfaction that night upon piles and piles of cheese-world humanburgers human-world cheeseburgers

BELPHEGOR

As you tell Belphegor about your past and your history with your abusive ex, he gives you his full, undivided attention

His stomach drops, as his prior deception and manipulation of you comes into full focus in light of all you had already been through

Holding you close, he whispers words of comfort and strokes your head gently until you fall asleep for the night, holding his own rest at bay until he's sure you've drifted off first

As a quiet, unspoken apology, he places soft and peaceful dreams upon you that night, filling your dream world with all the things he knows you love

If you're open to it, he also later creates dreams for you where things happened differently, quick to pull you out if anything starts going wrong but letting you get a redo on those traumatic moments where you have more power or where you can watch a cartoonish anvil drop on your ex's head to stop them, whatever works really

Intimacy comes gradually, if/when you're ready, happy to follow or take the lead as you prefer, but communicative every step of the way so that you always feel safe

And as for your ex...

Belphegor already held the opinion for a long time that humans were shit -- but until this moment, he had dropped his desires to destroy them, after everything with Lilith had come to light

However, in their waking hours, too, Belphie twists and warps shadows around them, until the lines between life and dreams blur together

They are practically sobbing for death by the time he comes for them personally, though he's not so merciful as to be quick about it even then

He chokes them to unconsciousness but lets go each time they fall unconscious, dragging the sharp prickly parts of his tail across their face to wake them back up before doing it over again

Once their face has been torn up beyond recognition by these repeated cycles, he finishes them off by trampling across their body in cow form and leaving them to suffocate slowly from their punctured lungs

HEARTSTEEL COLLEGE AU HEADCANONS

This phrase seized me yesterday and I have not been able to stop thinking about it. Who knows, maybe I'll write a fic :)

inspired by my experiences as a college student in the US!

Yone

Pre-med student with a minor in psychology

Does peer tutoring and notetaking for his biology classes

always doing work. being a pre-med student is so much Work All The Time. this is why Yone is always seen with coffee and dark circles under his eyes.

He manages fairly well for someone with so much on his plate - he keeps an impressively functional sleep schedule (goes to bed at 10pm every night, wakes up at 8am every morning)

Is an RA (resident advisor) for his dorm floor and tries to be a good resource for freshmen

Bikes everywhere, enjoys taking walks/getting outdoors for a break from studying

Likes to make and listen to music in his free time (which is not a lot)

Sett

Majoring in athletic training to be a sports coach

Student athlete on the wrestling team - spends a lot of time training and traveling to meets off-campus, so he's not around much until the off-season

Hangs out with the boxing club when he's not doing wrestling

Part of an all-men a capella group and enjoys singing/rapping

Joined a fraternity in his sophomore year because most of the wrestling team was on it and enjoys chilling with his friends in it

Casually bakes things in his free time and brings them to the wrestling team/his classmates/office hours/his frat brothers

So, I have decided to give myself a dopamine rush and talk about my headcanons for Thominho, Thomas being scared of thunder.

Ever since thunder almost turned Thomas deaf, Thomas has an internal PANIC when he sees lightning and thunder.

The lightning is mostly because he thinks of Minho— how he was so scared of him dying. How something could *hurt* his love.

(^ important to note, I also believe in both adorable and comedic ideals that Thomas gets mad at anything that hurts Minho, even if it's an inanimate object. "HOW DARE YOU HURT MY BOYFRIEND, YOU HAVE COMMITTED THE GRAVEST OF SINS" then he just kicks the chair Minho tripped and landed on his face because of)

Anyway, Thomas REFUSES to let Minho walk outside while thunder is going on. He would most likely blame himself

^ Minho wouldn't push this, because he knows how much Thomas cares about it, even if it's dramatic overreaction

Thomas SEETHES whenever Minho teases him about thunder, and Minho soon learned to NOT MESS WITH TOMMY WHEN HE'S BEING OVERPROTECTIVE, that's how you get a couch to sleep on

*But Thomas never lets Minho sleep without him with thunder going on. He wants Minho constantly beside him.*

Most of that day had faded into a blur, like the way a dream begins to slip through your fingers the longer your eyes are open. But Yanqing still remembered one thing with crystalline clarity.

That voice.

Sickly sweet in his ear, promising the knowledge a thousand masters, the path to victory. Images still floated across his mind, flashes of instances barely long enough to his brain to capture, of monsters and creatures slain in the blink of his eye on the way to Dragonprayer Terrace. The heliobus hadn’t lied to him, they had indeed taught him methods far more advanced than his own. Yet, he felt like such a fool for listening. He had known, somewhere deep down, that what he had been doing was wrong. Even his swords had picked up on it. Yanzhuo didn’t have a mind of its own, but was rather an extension of himself. Like the manifestation of his caution, it flew from his hand for help when he failed to control himself.

But. . . it hadn’t been seeking help from just anyone, had it? The four that had arrived to stop him couldn’t succeed on their own. No, they were not who he had wanted to see at all. He wanted to meet one specific person. Like a child eager to impress their parent, he had wished to outstretch his arms among the fleet of phantom swords, to say look at me. Look at what I’ve accomplished. Aren’t you proud of me?

Am I good enough?

And just like the stupid child he was, the General’s gaze only held a pitying shame for him. His actions had only brought humiliation, to himself and to his master, before two outworlders, a judge of the Ten-Lords Commission, and a fellow cloud knight no less!

Turning a sword on his own subordinate! Was he even worthy of its weight? How could he call himself a lieutenant after that? He had resisted the heliobus’ insistence, but that didn’t mean he hadn’t felt it. The fleeting thoughts, the memories of blood so strong he could practically smell it, if the General hadn’t stepped in, who knows what might have happened.

How uniquely good is the expression work and animation in @worthikids (Ian Worthington's) Bigtop Burger??

So good that I have spent many hours combing through every single frame of animation in this series so far while taking well over 1,000 screenshots so that I can use them as reference for art practice.

Highly recommend for anyone who has like 20 minutes to watch everything that's out so far. So many of the quotes from this just live in my brain now

But I'm not done talking about the animation - I mean, it is absolute next-level delightful shit right down to the cinematography and it is so wild that most of the work on this is done by one guy.

All the characters have great expressions, but ffs every second that Cesare is onscreen, Ian Worthington has animated Chris Fleming's voice-acting and improv SO GOOD that I basically had to watch every single one of those lines on 1/4 speed over and over to make sure I didn't miss anything.

My tumblr usage has gotten really bad actually and it’s a massive problem. For the past few weeks I’ve felt like there aren’t enough hours in the day, and while that can partially be attributed to classes starting up, I think it’s cause I use this goddamn app for hours upon hours upon hours. I always tell myself that I can just pick it up for 15 mins and then put it down again no problem. I can’t. Because I give myself another five minutes and another five minutes and another five minutes and then it’s been two hours and I STILL won’t log off. I’ve limited access on my phone, which will hopefully keep me off tumblr outside of specific times and allow me now more than two hours per day on the app. If you see me reblogging posts tomorrow before 9:30 AM EST it means I failed and need to figure out how to make my phone’s screen times work. If you shoot me an ask, message, or reply and I don’t respond immediately? Chances are I’ve hit that mark and will be unavailable until the next day (unless I use my computer). I’m hoping to NOT hit that mark though, so I’ll try be on here less in general. It’s genuinely so bad for me. I waste so much time on here and I NEED to cut back on it sooner rather than later.

Gale didn’t know how to handle these new feelings for you. He makes a fool of himself everyday, it seems. He always offers you a slice of his bread, even if you gave your own, he saves some of his own morning coffee for you, since he wakes up earlier, and even warm it up for you with a spell.

He simply wanted you to like him. That would be all he needed, but anything else that may follow that would be a true blessing. Gale wanted nothing more than to make you laugh, to see your smile and know he was the reason why, to camp and be the first and last person you’d speak to before sleep.

Gale wouldn’t let his mind wander much past that, or he tried to not let it. The occasional dream would slip through where you were his, and he was yours. It simply put him in panic mode In the waking hours, trying to not be obvious, scared you’d find out, what exactly? He wasn’t sure. You were too kind to break his heart so effortlessly, like he feared you would.

Endless scenarios danced in gales head of rejection, humiliation, and what would happen if he let himself go, life he was tasked to do. It wouldn’t take much, to convince him to live. Friendship, a place to call home, even if it was ever moving. Company he could entrust his life to. It was all so appealing. Luring him into life, breathing a new passion into his purpose, one he’d lost many years ago, sometime when he was alone for so many years.

Those thoughts seemed to linger on forever, sweeping over his barely conscious brain to awaken him again, rustling him from what could be a good nights rest. Eventually, Gale decided to just get up and go for a walk.

Camp had been set up in one of the most beautiful places any of you had seen. Waterfalls tinted emerald green, sand fine and shimmering in the light, may it be sun or moon. I’m one of those waterfalls, he found you.

Waist deep in the pond. Skin and hair dripping wet, shining more than usual water would, adding a silver glow to the night. You looked better than a goddess could ever imagine, and still, his eyes never dipped below you shoulders, even though he deeply wanted to look lower. Instead, he stood there, looking like a fucking idiot, gods know how long. Maybe a tree branch snapped, or maybe you finally snapped out of your trance, but your head whipped in his direction, eyes darting across the small beach, only relaxing when you realize only gale stands before you.

“Oh, Gale, it’s just you…” you let out a deep, jagged breath, the anxiety flowing out of your body just as quickly as it racked through it.

“Just? Are you disappointed?” Gale smirked, although his heart raced in his chest, one word and he'd sulk back to camp, but gods he wanted to stay and spend the whole night with you under the stars.

“Far from it, really. I was just thinking about how much you’d enjoy this view if you were here” you tore your eyes away from Gale, focusing on the stars. “I thought it may remind you of waterdeep. You paint a very beautiful picture of home.”

“I can think of a few things much, much more beautiful than Waterdeep,” his voice low, raspier than usual. Easily explained away from the lack of sleep or old sleeping bags, not for what it really was. Deep yearning, wanting, needing.

“I’d love to see them someday, then.”

“We’ll just have to get you a mirror, then,” “All the beauty in the world would reflct

"Gale, I-" You finally looked into his eyes, he wore his heart on his sleeve, at least for a moment. Those puppy eyes, dark bust glistening in the full moonlight, his hair messy from turning in his sleep, he wanted you, in many more ways than one. Gale's emotions could never be that simple, of course.

"Well," you walked towards him, water inching lower and lower, revealing more and more of your body, yet gales eyes stayed on yours. "Why don't you join me for a swim. It's a beautiful night."

"an offer I could not refuse." Gale's face was plastered with that cocky smile, the one that could melt anyone into a puddle in seconds.

He might have been a gentleman and kept his eyes upwards, but you were not so much, Gale untied his robes, gods why were there so many damn layers? It was quite a sight, his little mannerisms that showed more of him to you than he had shown to you. He was nervous, his fingers missing the simple ties frequently, he got annoyed by his hair getting in his eyes, a grimace appearing before he swept his hair behind his ear.

Your eyes lingered on his circle smoke tattoo, his toned arms, his downright massive hands. he was more tan than you realized, To be fair, he's always covered in those loose robes, leaving you to wonder what was underneath. You were more than happy to finally be finding out. But not below the waist.

"Isn't it a bit cold to be this naked?"

"The water is warmer than the air, I promise." You extended a hand out to Gale, even though he was feet away from you. "Come on, Gale from Waterdeep being afraid of some cold water? Sounds redundant."

"You got me there." He finally stepped into the glimmering pond surrounded by rocks and sand, enough to have your own little corner, to lessen the echo if it was needed. The whole camp didn't need to know all of your business. It must've been a magical lake, as both you and Gale noted separately. Unnaturally still, even when you moved freely, small glowing lights pooled at your sides, occasionally bubbling into the air once you leaned against a large, bright rock.

"May I ask what you were doing out here at this hour?" Gale spoke, still much further away from you than he wanted to be,

"Can I not take a mid-night swim?" You raised your brows in a questioning glance his way "A woman needs time to herself. These days and nights have been very stressful."

Gales very audible oh, slipped through the silence. "You don't have to relax alone." His eyes finally gave in to the need, scanning your body with a low moan slipping past his lips. His excitement was immediate, brushing against your lower stomach all the way past your navel.

"You've wanted this." You stated, brushing your hand against his thigh.

"There's plenty of magic around us, I want the Gale right in front of me." You dared to inch even closer, his thigh fully slipping between yours, inches away from touching your pussy. His hands floated inches from your waist, "Let me give you everything"

"Give me everything" With that, Gale's hand grabbed your waist, gently guiding you onto his thigh, motioning your hips down and swaying only him.
