little shrine for my favourite grishaverse artists because every time i see their art on my feed it makes my day brighter and i think they deserve to have their talents recognised (feel free to add more!)

@polartss : one of my personal favourites. she has such a unique style that you can recognize at a single glance, also she draws the perfect kaz and the perfect inej and god knows how much i love those two (i have the kanej bathroom scene in my room and it makes me so happy just to look at it)

@itsiparwing : everything that she draws leaves me mesmerized. her style is kind of a book-illustration, cartoonish style and every single time she posts a new piece i have to stare at it for hours. also @/netflix if your nikolai doesn't look like meg's nikolai then you're doing it wrong

@/linasketchess : her style is super soft, both in the lines and the palettes she uses. she drew my absolute favourite kanej fanart that i also have on my wall and it makes me happy every time i see it

@eerna : (i'm not sure about their pronouns so i'm just gonna use they/them for the moment) their drawings are spectacular. they make comic strips of scene from the books which i adore, also their inej looks straight out of the books, and i also love all of their helnik drawings (personal favourite here)

@/jaded.draws : jade is amazing, and not just because of her art (which is also amazing). i love the way she portrays zoya following non-western beauty standards, also she's made a zoya×genya art that i think everyone should see at least once in their lives. she also does some amazing zoya cosplays

@chemdoodles : (again i'm not sure about their pronouns so i'm gonna use they/them) their drawings just make me happy. they're so cute and pretty and soft and here are my two favourites

@/qorndoq : her style is just so soothing to look at. i don't know if this sentence makes sense but it's the best way i can put it, the lines and the colours are always so soft. also she did a mesmerizing zoyalai piece set in the hollywood golden age

Daisy Head as Genya Safin LOML I already know she'll be my favourite actress in the cast. Her line delivery has me completely hooked "have you ever bathed?" So true queen drag her. Once again, after Archie and Kit, another natural.

The funny thing about Jessie Mei Li being absolutely modelesque and beautiful is that Genya's tailoring had basically no effect except removing a few visible wounds. In the book alina was a bag of bones with ratty hair and an emaciated figure so tailoring was a big deal for her. It's kind of like clearing up Jennifer Lawrence pretending she's an underfed coal miner's daughter or dolling up Emma Watson and acting like she's suddenly pretty in the Yule Ball.

Once again, the queen asking Alina to speak in Shu to entertain them was a writing choice, as was making the Darkling continuously be the anti racist advocate who sticks up for Alina.

They cut out Zoya beating up alina real bad in botkin's training because that would be terrible ig but omg we love to see her be a canonical racist? 😍/s
