Sorry for another ask XD but I loved how much you loved my OC Marcey.

So I thought I’d share more about her and her relationship to spider and to everyone else.

Marcey was once engaged to Jakes brother Tommy. Marcey and Jake and Tom all grew up together as kids. Marcey views Jake like a older brother.

When Spider was first discovered by the scientists nobody knew what to do. Marcey, who always wanted kids, decides to take Spider as her own child. Marcey is also mated to Tsu’tey. (She’s an avatar driver and she doesn’t transfer immediately after the sky people leave cause she wants to give Spider a few good years with her human half. Marcey’s mother died from cancer and unfortunately Marcey also has it, but max and the others were able to formulate a treatment that was less harmful to her body).

She does find out who his father is and so does Neytiri. Marcey calls Neytiri out on her hatefulness towards spider saying that, “The sins of the father do not fall to the son”. And this argument goes on for hours before finally Neytiri realizes that her behavior is wrong and views spider as her sweet little nephew.

Marcey also states to everyone that she doesn’t want anyone, and I mean anyone to even mention who her sons birth father is. She states that, “Only if he asks about him. Will I say anything. Otherwise I don’t want him knowing anything about Quaritch.” And she is very strict about it.

Tsu’tey her mate agrees that it would be best not to mention Quaritch to Spider as the boy doesn’t need to feel the guilt and added stress of the actions his father did against the people.

Cillian's arms were wrapped round your waist, his body pressed against your back, lips close to your ear, his breath fanning across your neck. "Missed you, darling" he hummed, you were trying your hardest to prepare dinner before the madness of the evening started.

"Cill, I missed you too, but the girls need collecting in fifteen minutes" you hated denying your husband but you couldn't leave your twin girls stranded at the school gate because he had wandering hands.

"I'll get them" he dropped a soft kiss to your shoulder, the heat the past week had been unbearable for Ireland, you were trying to wear as few clothes as possible while in the house.

Cillian returning from New Mexico was delighted at the short slip dresses and skimpy vests you were favouring.

"I'll have to call the school let them know" you turned in his arms.

"I love it when you go into mum mode, so hot" he teased, holding your hips against his.

"I swear to god Cillian, if we get a call from Mrs Walker about being late I will tell her why" you warned with a laugh.

Cillian smiled, finally letting go of your body "I bet she would be thrilled, probably hasn't had any since the war"

You rolled your eyes "You won't be getting any at this rate Murphy, maybe you could compare notes?"

Cillian was smirking, the slip dress would be so easy to remove, he knew for a fact you weren't wearing any underwear after the last quickie he had coaxed you into, in the sunroom.

He pulled you back into him, lips inches from yours "you just wait, going to put another baby in you at some point then everyone will know what dirty things we do"

You had raked your fingers in the short hair at the base of his neck "People already know we have sex, we have two girls who will be waiting for their father if you don't let me go" you pressed your lips against his a quick burst of affection.

Cillian groaned, watching as you headed for the hall to grab your phone "ten minutes Cillian" you chirped from the doorway of the lounge.

** Cillian usually avoided the school run, most people would ignore him, let him live his life but the mothers of Langford Academy were a different breed, the type to swoon over him, flirt and try their hardest to get his attention.

The doors opened just in time, saving him from a group of three mothers making a beeline.

His face lit up at the sight of his girls, holding hands, grinning widely once they had spotted him.

They weren't expecting him home until the weekend, the hardest surprise he had to keep.

"Daddy! daddy!" Jasmine was almost running dragging Lacey behind her.

Cillian had knelt down, ready to scoop them up in his arms, both of them giggling as he smothered their faces with kisses.

"When did you get home, mammy told us Saturday today is.."

"Friday" Lacey chimed.

"It was a surprise, so you would have a treat when you left school" he placed them back on the ground taking their bookbags and lunch boxes from them.

"We have so much to tell you daddy! You've been gone so long" Jasmine was looking up at him.

"Oh yeah? we better get home and start the gossiping then" he lifted Lacey up first into her seat followed by Jasmine a kiss for each of them.

You had set up dinner in the garden the girls each having a glass of fizzy pop as a treat with pink straws.

"Marcey was being mean to Lucy, so Jas told her to stop it or she would tell Mrs Walker, then Lucy told Jasmine she was a tell-tale, so I...I said that's it I am telling Mrs Walker" Lacey was in full swing sat on Cillians lap.

You couldn't believe you had two seven year olds who were both definitely heading towards seventeen.

Cillian had took to being a father of girls so easily, he didn't care if they insisted on playing with his hair or painting his nails, embraced all the pink clothing they gifted him when you'd been unable to sway them to the Navy options.

You were brushing Jasmines hair after her bath, dinner had been demolished, the evening was still warm, you and Cillian had promised the girls a late night. "and then daddy, she tripped me up on my way to see Mrs Walker"

Jasmine turned to look at her sister "She did not! Lacey is lying"

Lacey threw her sister a look, a look you know both girls got from you, "I am not" Lacey protested, bottom lip jutting out.

Cillian looked at you, a amused look on his face "Girls, if you start arguing then it's straight to bed. Lacey did Lucy trip you up?" Lacey buried her face into his neck, a mumbled reply leaving her mouth as she shook her head.

"See she lied!" Jasmine was daring her father to disagree with her, the stern look in her blue eyes.

"I just.. I just told a small fib not a lie, daddy I didn't lie" Lacey was close to tears now, her small hands cupping at Cillian's cheeks.

"Jas, it was a little fib nothing that hurt anyone, but Lacey we don't lie or tell fibs okay?" Cillian nudged his nose with hers as she nodded.

Jasmine threw herself back into you with a sigh "Always gets her way" she rolled her eyes.

"hey missy, Miss Jasmine Murphy, you also get your own way" You laughed leaning to drop a kiss on the top of her head.

"not as much as Lacey, just because she's the oldest and..and daddy's favourite" Jasmine was pouting now.

Lacey gasped " I am not! Mammy is daddy's favoruite thats why he married her!" Cillian laughed lightly "all of you, all three of you are my favourite girls" he was opening his arms for you all to crawl into him, hoping to settle the debate.

You watched Cillian return from putting the girls to bed, you were under the cotton sheet of the king size bed.

"All okay?" you asked placing your phone on the bedside table.

"Yes, we had a small debate over breakfast food for tomorrow, so it looks like you better wake up early to start on the eggs, bacon, pancakes and muffins" he winked disappearing into the walk in wardrobe.

"Hell no, I've made weekend breakfasts for the past three months, you're turn" you were sat on the edge of the bed now.

Cillian reappeared in the door way, in just a pair of boxers. "Oh yeah? what do i get in return?"

You batted your eyelashes, a innocent smile on your face "I could show you why I'm daddy's favourite"

Cillian laughed head thrown back, striding across the room he scooped you up, just to drop you moments later back onto the mattress.

He was leaning over you "Eggs? or Pancakes?" he questioned before his hands were under the small camisole you had on.

Alright, so Cissie is back.

I feel like I’m calm enough after the unbelievable burst of excitement and happiness this cover gave me when I first saw it, so let’s talk about this.

First off, I have to say that until I saw this cover last week, I didn’t think Cissie should be Arrowette again, and this cover gave me different ideas and hope for Cissie’s future, so my judgment might seem clouded. 

So first, to any Meghan Fizmartins and co out there listening who have no idea why Cissie quit being Arrowette, here’s a “brief” summary:

After her Counselor and mother figure, Dr. Marcey Money, gets killed by her ex-boyfriend, Cissie (rightfully) throws a fit and blames the lack of gun control in the U.S. as the reason for the murder. After that, she puts on a darker version of her Arowette costume (the same one Sean Izaaksa used for the GA cover), and goes to hunt down Marcey’s killer and his friend that was with him. During the chase, Cissie questions herself how much of a “Good Guy” is she, chasing down these men like that. At the end of the fight, she fires a killing shot from her bow, intending to kill Dr. Money’s murderer, when Superboy comes out of nowhere and catches the arrow. Then, she runs away and cries, confused and distraught. In the next issue she’s in a catatonic state following her actions, and after she gets out of it she breaks her bow and declares it’s not hers anymore. In the next issue she quits Young Justice. She makes it clear she never wants to be Arrowette again in the rest of the series, saying she can’t lose control again and talking about how her mom forced her into the hero life. 

For a much more extended and detailed version I recommend reading Young Justice #15-17, it’s a great story and a great read.

Now, she has donned the Arrowette suit a couple of times after quitting, most, if not all, were pretty weird and out of character. 

Starting off, we have that creepy thing in Spyboy/Young Justice, which I’m not 100% sure is canon at all, but it’s still worth talking about for a bit. In this miniseries, Cissie doesn’t actively choose to be Arrowette again any way, with Kon & Bart stealing her clothes while she’s in the bath and replacing them with the Arrowette costume, basically forcing her to put it on. They did give her a choice as to which costume to wear, the darker version from before or the usual one, and she chose the usual one, but I don’t feel like we should really give them credit for that. After that, she walks around in the costume, but doesn’t shoot a single arrow (she almost does, but she gives up on it) or fight, and is really just Cissie in a costume and less Arrowette. She also talks about how her friends are uncomfortable with the ‘Cissie’ part of her and they don’t know how to react to her with one of the spyboy characters. Overall I don’t hate it, except for the way they actually got her in costume.

Next we have the most confusing one yet. In Wonder Girl (2007) Cissie tells Cassie she could always go back to Arrowette for her (and later on in the miniseries she actually does), Completely disregarding her quitting storyline. That might (probably) be the writer’s mistake, but I’d like to think Cissie was at a point in her life here where she made peace with the whole “Arrowette” thing and with her mother and is just willing tp help an old friend with her slightly unusual skillset. She also previously hadn’t completely associated her archery with Arrowette (she competed in the Australia Summer Games an won a gold medal during ‘98 YJ), so maybe she’s just come to peace with that part of it all now. But since that is never specifically said in the series, I’m only assuming stuff.

Since then, she wasn’t seen as Arrowette or in general for more than 10 years, only showing up again in Young Justice (2019):

There’s no real explanation for her coming back this time other than, again, like last time, she’s made her peace with Arrowette and is only helping an old friend (Conner, this time) dressed in the most generic Archer-superhero outfit that came out of nowhere. She was barely in the series, but her return was handled badly anyway. Unless, of course, you’ll consider my theory from the previous time she came back canon, it’s pretty annoying that Brian Michael-Bendis brought her back, instead of Anita for example (which would’ve made much more sense), even after stating she was retired.

Now we have my least favorite handling of Cissie post-quitting.

Oh, Dark Crisis: Young Justice, the definition of shattered hopes. 

This is complete and utter bullshit. Not only Cissie kept being an archer after quitting and had several storylines in Young Justice (1998) related to her archery outside of Arrowette, Cassie not only knows that, she was literally there for half of it. Cissie is an archer, and that’s a part of her that she pretty much completely separated from her Arrowette persona, and she made that clear in more than a few instances during the original Young Justice run. I hope Joshua Williamson isn’t taking Cissie character lessons from this run, which not only handles Cissie quitting weirdly, but is outright spreading misinformation about Cissie.

Has Meghan Firzmartin even read the original YJ run? I don’t think she did, at least not fully. Cissie quit because of very specific reasons I've previously stated, not this. She also has a good relationship with the rest of Young Justice, and definitely doesn’t see them this way. 

Even though Cissie isn’t Arrowette at any point in this run, it feels much worse than any of my prior examples. Also, she is basically running around as Arrowette there, just without the costume. I hope the new Green Arrow series will ignore DC: YJ, because it’s just bad.

So to sum it up? I’m not completely disappointed Cissie is Arrowette again. I do hope Williamson will actually handle her past and not make her a whole new character for his run. I think a Cissie as Arrowette story can be interesting, if it’s at least implied she felt with her trauma from her quitting incident and made peace with everything the name and the costume mean. However, with all my high hopes, I'm still being realistic and I'm gonna say I don’t think I'll get everything I want in the new series. The series is currently a mini-series of six issues, unfortunately (but preorders might change that and give us more issues! Preorder the first issue!), and it tackles a seemingly large cast of characters with a lot of mysteries and questions around them and their appearance in the book. And with the actual plot being them trying to find/retrieve Ollie from where he was last stuck in in Dark Crisis, I do think there'll be space for good character interactions but not for a lot of individual character exploring. Overall, I think the series will handle Cissie’s return basically how YJ (2019) did, with a mostly unexplained return, but I guess a girl can dream about more.

So I have a fic I'm writing called, Eywa sees me and I see eywa. It's a Tsu'tey x oc fic with my oc Marcey Lanster.

I've shared with another tumbler user about her but I thought I'd some bits and pieces it with you.

Marcey and Tsu'tey both adopt Spider.

Marcey lost her mother to cancer and unfortunately cancer runs hereditary in her family, but luckily Max and Norm are able to make a medicine thats less harmful to marcey's body. This allows her to show spider the better parts to his human side(Note that she and her husband decide not to tell him about his birth father unless Spider himself asks them about him. Otherwise she wants her son to have nothing to do with Quaritch). I'd like to imagine that she tries to raise spider until he's six, so that way he has a better understanding of why his mother has to permanently transfer to her avatar, but it doesn't go as planned, the cancer spreads aggressively throughout her body and she has maybe 3 months to live and now she worries that:

One: Tsu'tey will have to raise Spider by himself and also lose another person he cares about.

Two: That Spider will resent her for not doing the permanent transfer sooner and thus hate her for leaving his adopted father all alone.

I'd love to hear your own interpretation of my scenario, or your thoughts on it! Also love all your what ifs and headcanons! I've read some parts of your if you playing me that mean my home ain't home fic and it was wonderful to read!

This is such a cute idea for a story! 🥺 I would LOVE to see Tsu’tey being a father, he has such amazing dad potential 😩 (his kids would totally be more grounded than Jakes) Marcey sounds like a really strong woman, I love that you’re giving her an avatar! the cancer storyline puts pressure on the narrative to move quickly, which is always engaging! It would feel like a ticking clock, marcey knowing that her time is limited and she needs to make the change soon, or it could be too late. It would be really great to see her perspective on the dysphoria that moving body brings. We never see any of jakes perspective on that in canon (other than ‘yeah I’m bigger and stronger now yay’ , which is obviously not the extent of it).

Okay so, I thought I'd share a fic of my own that I'm writing to you considering I love all of these scenarios and what if's? you've brought to life!

Now, I wanna preference that my oc is Marcey Lanster and she's gonna be the mom to Spider(cause gosh darn it that boy deserves some love!). My favorite that I created was that Marcey is a computer programmer(is also secretly a hacker).

I'd like to imagine that Marcey wanted to expand Spider's view point of both his human and na'vi sides with equal balance. So She taught Spider how to find trackers and how to disable security systems, or hack into computers.
