Back at it again with the BNHA crossover Ponderings!
Nedzu is LITERALLY one of THE smartest beings on the planet, right? Like... he's probably on some internationally recognized list of Top Planetary IQs? Which is why Japan let's him get away with so much?
Cause they REALLY fucked him over, he has the power to leave, and that would be really, REALLY bad Brain Drain wise/politically for the Japanese Government? (Also pls don't become a Supervillian we literally can not afford that, Mr. Nedzu Sir? Etc etc)
You think he has... like? Chats? With the OTHER top intellects? Some kid in Siberia with the New Super Intelligence Quirk his parents can't begin to even handle, gets put in history's WEIRDEST group chat? I like to think so.
But the REASON I ask this?

Said hot head has supposedly indescribable chains! So he just flings them rights on in! Grabbing the boy from the center of the portal, pulling him free, and in the process? Immediately destabilizing it. Causing it to collapse down towards everyone bellow.
He also then proceeds to DROP the young lad, in his alarm at this entirely predictable outcome.
Right. Into. The Ocean.
A boy, who is dressed in filthy medical scrubs, haunting familiar in a way nothing should EVER be again, and entirely unconscious. Plunge down into the briny deeps and bitter cold. Alone. Abandoned. Death, thick and viscous, losing form and raining down like bile.
Everyone saving themselves.
Ah, he rather liked this suit.
The salt water ruins it. The droplets of Green, burn like molten glass each time they touch him. He will likely have at least a few new scars, after today. Assuming this is not the end of him. But he swims fast. The boy sinking slower then his size would suggest he should. He grabs hold and arcs, dragging them both from beneath the fallout of yet another humans hubris.
He does not stop swimming. Not until he knows he is near the helicopter. He is thankful, that he dragged Aizawa along. The man takes one look at his serious expression, the state of his rescued young friend, and merely hauls them both out of the water and into the machine.
Time to go.
They saw nothing, it seems. And there is nothing to be found.
The boy does not wake. Not for quite a while. Long enough, that Nedzu, perhaps unwisely, has grown attached. Is considering adoption. If only too terrorize a few goverment bodies. And... well... the boy will need some who UNDERSTANDS. And the scars paint a very specific sort of tale. But first, the most important question, when beginning these things...
"Tea? Or would you prefer coffee?"

tbh there are not many people on here that get him wrong, at least i haven't seen much? though ofc there are other websites *looks at tiktok with squinted eyes* that reduce him to being a sugar daddy boytoy, which... i mean it's funny. but it's also not everything that he is obviously, especially bc i don't think poe really has a concept of money tbh? like i think he has ridiculously expensive essential things (i say essential but i mean i don't think a mansion is particularly essential lmao) and he also buys things he considers important to show off his abilities, like for example the manuscript, but looking at the anthology (which isn't canon but lets pretend it is for a sec) he only has limited clothing and other than many other rich people would he doesn't just hire someone to get them for him yk? (he also lets mori pay i think right? lmao) in conclusion - he spends his money, yes, but he's not throwing it out the window (debatable tho, i'd call 20 mil a waste but he can do it ig?), nor does he spend it much on his own needs.
many people also forget that yes, he is whiny, but he is also extremely dangerous! his ability could trap nearly everyone and make them defenseless! even chuuya spends a while in poe's book and he's highly capable and intelligent! ranpo was near giving up! this is extremely important to his character and a severe bruise on his confidence! i think many forget that
he is a skilled snipper, can replace a car engine (bro watched one yt tutorial and rolled with it i'm so sure about this) and ofc he is a detective and a writer that impressed ranpo (and can also write a mystery in around 15-30 minutes) and is ALSO the architect for the guild. so. yeah. he's multi-talented as shit, i think people should appreciate that more
also (this list is never gonna end lol) i think people mistake his anxiety in social settings for being shy and i just.. don't think he is shy per se? he's quite boastful when it comes to his writing and his ability that comes with it and on the perfect crime trio case he had no problem at all speaking in public and even with the police. i mean an anxious person that would be worried about how he was perceived he would be worried that he'd be found out to be a criminal which he IS, but he just is so sure of himself that he's left no traces that he's just like "*shrug* yeah that happened, anyway, how are you officer? :D" not quite like that ofc but yk i just think he's more anxious in the way that he hates groups of people bc they overwhelm him quickly in regards to noise and conversation (especially small talk i'd guess) and that he just thinks many people he doesn't take interest in are annoying? that might be a lil controversial opinion tbh but i'll gladly remind you of this panel:

hm, yeah i think that's it for now. in relations to ranpo i don't like how people sugarcoat them a lot tbh, i know i've said it before but this really bugs me, like yes they're getting along quite well but i wouldn't call their relationship healthy at all? at least not yet, though i can see that it could work very well eventually. i think poe is doing all these things gladly for ranpo but ranpo has to open up way more and tell poe that he appreciates him, like please, this man is so down bad for you. also pls communicate so that poe doesn't lose himself in his obsession, this can't be healthy come onnn, bro has isolated himself for yearssss

i keep hearing "wow". wonyoung views mingyu as someone who's very good at his craft of being an artist and public figure, a guy who has a lot of charisma to him. he has a strong presence that draws people in. in her eyes, he's great at charming people and making them interested and curious about him. i keep sensing this feeling of him being a fascinating "sunbae" figure to her. this cool senior you just keep watching from the corner of the room, but can't really get yourself to approach. she seems to be a little intimated by mingyu, there is this clear gap of communication. i can sense she's another idol who's very cautious about her interactions, people always seem to be on this poor girl's case, and she's aware of it. she's a little hesitant to initiate contact (like just start a normal conversation or small talk even) with him.
what does mingyu think of wonyoung?

mingyu thinks wonyoung is a beautiful and highly intelligent girl. actually, in similar fashion to her thoughts on him, he also seems to be aware of her amazing ability to win the public over in her favor. it's like she has a good understanding of what the people want, and knows what to say or do in order to keep them interested. he also perceives her as a more reserved and private person, who has clear boundaries when it comes to how much she shares with the world. a very clever woman, who maintains a good balance between being this popular and entertaining it-girl, as well as keeping her private life a secret. very tactful and polite, great manners. in mingyu's eyes, wonyoung has this very gentle and calm energy to her, someone easy to be around and easily likable. both of them seem like the kind of people who're just admiring and respecting each other from a far, in a professional way.

okay I am really autistic and think abt them all the time so
golden wind theories/ hcs abt the main gangs mental illnesses
okay I dont think we talk about how mista probably has ocd enough. we see that he has intrusive thoughts/ obsessions and while we don’t see him have a lot of obvious compulsions but he often acts in a way that may seem irrational to some and has strict routines and fears something will go wrong when they are interrupted. he counts things obsessively, has rituals, etc etc.
short aside: pls don't think I am glorifying/ romanticizing anything I talk abt here these are theories and if anything I say is inaccurate pls lemme know!! I did research abt what I talk abt here but these are my own personal theories/ observations/ how I relate to them :)
I see a lot of people hc narancia as having ADHD but I am here to further my everyone in bucci gang has autism agenda. /hj I am autistic and relate to him. how he has trouble reading peoples intentions and trusts too easily is smth I really relate too! That's not to say he couldn't also have ADHD but if you read him as autistic it adds a lot of depth to his backstory <:) he's also highly empathetic and struggles regulating his emotions.

moving on this is obvious and more a plea to people to do research and write realistic recovery for leone being an alcoholic.
I would also love to see more people talking about Bruno. Specifically within the context of bruabba and his savior complex, I can't help but think he would be a little bitter than he is always the one saving people and that he's not allowed to be weak despite all the trauma he went through at a young age and joining the mafia at 14. It would definitely create more vulnerability issues to play parent to not only three traumatized children but also your so, the one who you are meant to feel safest with. I think a lot of Bruno's savior complex issues stems from him thinking that the crimes he has committed in his past and continues to commit as part of his role within Passione make him a bad person, and to atone for these sins he "saves" others. You can see how angry he is when he takes Narancia to the hospital and then he says he also wants to join the gang. To Bruno this is akin to spitting in his face. 'You would throw away the second chance I gave you to make the same mistakes I did?' idk I love him and so many people treat him as if he is perfect and I think he deserves to be complex and maybe resent his family for treating him as a therapist and savior and not always like a flawed human being. basically please let us have more dysfunctional bruabba family I need them to live.
I could write a whole essay on fugo so I shall save him for another time and because I don't trust my own intelligence to talk about him. fugo peak.
A lot of dude bros get mad at Giorno's "lack of personality" as if it doesn't stem directly from him being neglected as a child. He was punished for showing normal emotions as a kid so he hides them as he gets older. He could also totally be read as autistic and thats a hc that holds a special place in my heart. Opposed to Narancia, who is on the high empathy end of the spectrum, Gio, partly as a response to how he was raised, has lower empathy which also effects how he communicates with others. I think he is such a complex character and wish more people devoted time to analyzing him rather than writing him of as boring.
Thats all I have the mental space to write about for write now but I care these idiots so much and please tell me what you think!! Bucci gang 4 eva.

Izuku loved his children. Tamie and Inori were beautiful girls who were both highly intelligent and skilled. With Tamie having super speed and Inori having a super fast brain, he often felt he was barely holding on at times but he knew the two would be so strong in the future.
However, he'd never felt the urge to do a DNA test. A one night stand gave him his children (and revealed he'd always had a Quirk. Giving birth to children was terrifying but it was so worth it) and Izuku never knew if he wanted to ask that question. If he had a soulmate, if they would like him.
Yet now, he stood in front of a hero. Iida Tenya, pro-hero Egnition, was there in the hospital room with Izuku. Tamie was attacked by a villain, and she'd needed a blood transfusion. Izuku had agreed for the test and now...
"They're beautiful." Iida said, looking at Tamie asleep in her bed. Inori was half asleep, laying on the bed to.
"They are," Izuku said softly. "...I'm sorry about hiding them."
"I understand," Iida assured him. "Few bother with the test, and you having an ability to have chidlren despite being a cisman probably caused some issues."
"It did," Izuku admitted. They stood there quietly. "Would you like to get a drink later?" Izuku asked. "After this."
"...I would." Iida agreed with a smile.

HI this is going to be as brief as i possibly can and not super in depth BUT. here!! most of this is just like daily stuff u can do to get items and moneys (:
go to community > directories
go to horses > check "Show only special horses"
here you can interact with a few other players divines each day to receive items!
XANTHOS (5x a day)
when you stroke a xanthos, a horse in your breeding farm will receive 10 energy points!

FROST (1x a day)
defrosting a frost has a chance of granting you a hypnos' blanket black market item! (when equipped to a horse this item allows it to be bedded without being registered in an equestrian center!) and on the first of each month a frost is granted to a player who defrosted her within the past month (:
ARCHIMEDES (1x a day)
archimedes will ask you a question, and if answered correctly you both make the horse more intelligent and win yourself an aging point! if you're not too savvy on horse trivia most of the answers are online somewhere to my understanding tho lol!
TOPAZ (5x a day)
you can congratulate up to 5 topaz a day, and they will net you 50 equus each! (250 equus total!)
this is still divine related but it isn't exactly one of the daily things here - if you rename one of your horses to "junior croesus" there is a chance it can turn into a croesus divine. similarly, there is a chance on the first of each month that a player who has logged in at least 20 days in the previous month can win the divine cascade! and for every player, as long as you have logged in the previous day, you will receive 100 equus in your reserve if you log on the next day :)
if you go to breeding farm > office > the safe haven
you can stroke one of three randomly selected horses residing in the safe haven, and sometimes they will give you an apple or some equus etc as a thank you :) i'm not sure how many times a day it is exactly but i know you can do it more than once lol, i just check every few hours and do it when it allows me to
if you go to achievements > daily objectives
there's a little place to win passes (premium currency) from daily objectives! you can get up to 30 a day - every now and then the requests are a bit nuts lol but often times theyre fairly easy! you can also swap out one objective a day for 20,000 equus. there's also a gauge that resets every week and if you fulfill ten of the objectives you're granted the horn of plenty black market item!
under trade > item exchange
there is a place you can swap out which black market items you have between other players up to three times a week! you can make offers and/or fulfill them:)
and on a final note for the quick item/money-grinding etc etc - i HIGHLY highly recommend doing their events when you can!! the minigames are usually pretty entertaining and the gifts are usually surprisingly generous for not being super paywalled!!
as of writing this they're doing two minigame events:
i only just started the blast: winter minigame a few hours and i already got two precious level companions, a fertility wand, 3*** victory ear bonnet + polo wraps, a lunge, a vintage apple, and 200 straw, and i still have three more chests waiting to unlock :D!! and even if you don't want to use the black market items you receive you can usually trade them in the item exchange so i try to get as many as i can regardless esp since theyre free!!
ok hehe that's about it off the top of my head for daily stuff sorry the post is so lengthy LMFAO but!! if you guys wanted tips about horse/donkey/pony/unicorn skill/gp maxing PLS feel free to ask that's my fav part of the game :") i unfortunately don't know jack shit about selling horses or running an equestrian center bc im usually on the consumer end lolol but!!!<3 ok yay have fun horsing around :3

the fact that we're having to to discuss friendzoning about two friends anon we're really in it now aren't we
I want to take a moment direct ppl to this interview if they like Carlos tho bc his interviews are always so intelligent and thoughtful. you also get a much more authentic persona out of him when he speaks in Spanish. there are more videos on that account from that interview too.
I love that he listed Checo and Fernando so highly bc of course he gravitates toward ppl he can speak to in his born language. the three of them personality wise are pretty different but whenever they move toward each other you can tell they're in compatriot mode.
but yea what he said re Lando and racing is exactly what Lando says - and what nobody ever wants to post except begrudgingly. the 'bromances' are dressed way up by fans and media but there is no deeper narrative and it's not that serious. when they're driving, all friends disappear bc winning is the only reason to even be in F1 let alone the only way to stay in it for certain. even the comments on videos like that are next to nothing bc they're not "shippy" videos. but it's authentic and true that these guys are F1 drivers first and foremost and wayyyy after that it's nice to have some regular buddies to hang with. we should all be able to put shipping aside and appreciate the actual drivers these guys are and the fact that they can put aside their intense competitiveness to be so friendly.

that's wild though about lestappen having their own larries. how in the hell do ppl look at Charles and Carlos and even bother pretending they dislike let alone hate each other. we literally have real life F1 examples of teammates who are neutral/uninterested in each other w KMag and Hulk and teammates who bitterly hate each other w Ocon and Gasly. if Charles and Carlos were even in a dislike/disinterest category we wouldn't see them giggling and touching right up to the last day at Abu Dhabi this year. and side note but we also wouldn't see their gfs enjoying spending time together during races and events either, which Alex and Rebecca do.
I've seen that too it's insane. when has Lando NOT considered Silverstone the most important race on the calendar for him?? and nothing will beat his high over that podium until his actual win, nothing. (the fact that he kept saying how Oscar deserved to be up there with him was just the icing on the cake)
and like can they please just remember here that Lando was excited and happy on that podium in Singapore for himself as well???? that his own result meant more to him than a Ferrari driver?? yes he was happy for Carlos but Lando is sort of an actual F1 driver and if he could've knocked Carlos' ass aside and gotten that top spot for himself he very. much. would. have!! and that the double podiums that followed meant more to him bc y'know the team he drives for get more points?? carlando is a miniscule part of Lando's F1 career and Carlos is less a part of his life than Max V in terms of drivers who spend non-driving related time with him. after that being George, Alex and Daniel. and then Carlos.
yea honestly I'm not sure if the larry element has always been in carlando fandom and the latest Netflix/Liberty Media commercialization of the ship has just amplified it or if these are a bunch of new ppl who only go for the unhinged accounts. but that side of the ship literally view Lando as someone who responds to Carlos and does nothing else so huge shock that they try to override his actual choices and his actual race weekend with Carlos literally years after Carlos left him for Ferrari.
I'm guessing it's enraging watching Carlos do with Charles all the jokey sexual/romantic things they kept wanting him to do w Lando but sorry folks for all that we slow down certain moments and obsess over them sharing an umbrella to walk down the pit lane it's literally brotherly behavior. I've got another anon who brought up my tags of carlando being Charles and Arthur and it straight up is. all the physical carlando stuff is what they do. and I say this as someone who fully does twist all those carlando moments into something romantic/sexual lol. but gotta be able to keep that line between reality and fantasy.
fortunately Lando is chronically online enough to brush this crap off and Carlos just sees the carlando fan stuff as decent publicity. but fingers crossed it doesn't escalate even further to Sky Sports or F1 pushing it and fans getting so crazed that Lando or Carlos has to put their foot down. if it's already swamping McLaren social media and Lando's fan accounts then expect it to get even worse.
the lack of Oscar's presence in all of these places is probably the lamest thing bc good lord the guy has a long term gf can they all admit that as Lando's ACTUAL teammate he has more relevance to Lando's career than any former teammate? and can McLaren please get their act together next season and bring back Unboxeds and stop splitting up Lando and Oscar content when they never did this with Carlos or Daniel?? sorry Oscar ain't a wacky character but we all happen to love his dynamic with Lando.
you just answered that question anon and it's exactly why I can't believe they want carlando back as teammates. as things are we get to have a nice sprinkle of carlando content throughout the season and no drama! do they truly want silly challenges videos so badly that they want to watch the entire friendship sink like a stone now that Lando would be challenging and beating Carlos AND that now it would be Lando as first driver and not Carlos? the Sainz family's warmth is there bc they never had to see Lando as a direct competitor or hindrance to Carlos' success. they'd turn on him in a fucking second when Carlos didn't get an update and Lando did or Carlos wanted to change the car but Lando didn't or Lando was the reason why Carlos missed out on a podium. the main reason why Charles and Carlos work so well through the drama is that they're such similar people and can keep a level head and distance from it all. Lando is n o t h i n g like Charles' personality. Lando cannot translate frustration and misery into anything, it just sits with him until he does better. Carlos literally said he didn't know what to do with Lando when he'd get into those funks. imagine all the god awful repeats of that carlando "breakup" clip from 2021 bc Lando can't hide anything on his face and he'd be fed up with Carlos or his family or himself and christ.
it would be so. so very bad. can they at least be happy that Lando's got a nice placid easygoing guy in Oscar as a teammate and carlando content still rolls in.
I could def see the fact that Oscar is neither older brother or younger brother age for Lando and they do all the same gen z references and the same hobbies is probably part of whatever they perceive as a "threat". like it's still such a reach but it would explain the way Lando fan accounts try to post as little Lando with Oscar as possible but dredge up 2019 slowed down Carlos shoulder bumps and shit lol.
truly I personally don't know if the Oscar and Carlos dingdongs play much of a part for carlando fans bc honestly Carlos has quite a few regular enemies on the track alsgfjlsagf. by this time they've got to know that. Carlos sometimes can't drop the red mist even hours after a race so Oscar just happens to have come in for a share in his rookie season! but especially with how much Carlos has actually seemed to chum around with Oscar before and after drivers parades etc (even ignoring Lando a couple times to do so !!!!!! gasp horror etc)
side note that I'd honestly be glad if Oscar chose never to get into golf bc ohhhhh the shit fit if he went golfing at the same time as Lando and Carlos. even though Lando golfs with tons of people and they always play in fours anyway.

The Dance of the Dragons: A Military Analysis (Pt. 7)
Thank you once again to all those who have been following the series thus far (here’s the Master Post if this is your first time). Part 7 and 8 will focus on the war in the Riverlands prior to the First Battle of Tumbleton, and the strategic decision making of the Greens, with Part 7 covering the actions of Aemond and Criston Cole while Part 8 will deal with the Lannister forces.
In analyzing the strategic decisions and position of the Greens after Rook’s Rest, our first problem is that of Aemond Targaryen. Aemond becomes Protector of the Realm and Prince Regent due to Aegon’s severe injuries preventing him from exercising leadership, but we’re given no reasoning for this choice. Criston Cole tells Aemond that he must rule in his brother’s stead, which makes little sense based on Aemond’s track-record thus far: while he gained the support of House Baratheon, the death of Lucerys Velaryon resulted in the murder of Prince Jaehaerys by Blood & Cheese and Queen Helaena’s spiral into depression; he then took part in the Rook’s Rest campaign, but credit for the successes there goes to Criston Cole, while Aegon and Sunfyre’s injuries left the Greens with only two dragons. Queen Dowager Alicent would be aware of Aemond’s flaws and temperament and how these could affect his abilities as a leader, but she is not involved in this decision despite her closeness with Criston Cole. A better arrangement could have been to reinstate Otto Hightower as Hand, with Cole serving as Protector of the Realm in charge of military matters; although Aegon replaced Otto with Cole following Blood & Cheese, we have no indication of any serious quarrels or differences between the two. Aemond’s power and the relative ease with which he attains them are significant, as they are a major means through which George advances the plot, regardless of whether or not it makes sense.
Following the Battle of the Gullet, Aemond uses his authority to pursue a new strategy for defeating Daemon and the Riverlords; the Prince is supported Criston Cole and Tyland Lannister, but Dowager Queen Alicent, Grand Maester Orwyle and Master of Laws Jasper Wylde all express reservations. Otto Hightower, Aemond’s grandfather and three-time Hand of the King, and Master of Whispers Larys Strong, are apparently absent from these discussions; an omission that is inexcusable in Larys case, given his intelligence sources and his status as Lord of Harrenhal. Of greater significance is the strategy which Aemond proposes, and why Cole and Lannister would support it to begin with.
The plan called for a two-pronged attack on the Riverlands, converging on Harrenhal, with Jason Lannister and the Westerlands army crossing the Red Fork to the west, while Aemond and Cole’s forces marched up the Kingsroad from the south-east. Orwyle, Wylde and Alicent urge the Prince to seek the aid of the Baratheons, Ormund Hightower and to wait for Aegon to heal respectively, but neither Cole nor Lannister are given reasons as to why they support an objectively flawed plan. Cole is shown to be aggressive, both by his alleged murder of Lord Beesbury and his urging of Aegon to force the Black lords to submit before the Rook’s Rest campaign; he also keeps a cool-head under fire, as demonstrated literally at Rook’s Rest itself where he remained on his horse, directing the fire of his missile troops while Meleys set fire to everything around him (his conduct at the ‘Butcher’s Ball’ further demonstrates his level-headedness, but more on that later). Tyland Lannister is shown to be highly competent and sharp-witted, being responsible for removing three-quarters of the Royal Treasury from King’s Landing and denying Rhaenyra access to it for the entire war, and later serves as Aegon III’s first Hand with great distinction.
Based on what we know of the two men, it makes zero sense that they would support Aemond’s strategy, with it’s many obvious flaws. For starters, the plan relies on the fighting being confined to an east-west axis, culminating at Harrenhal with the Riverlords trapped between two armies. Daemon and his allies can easily slip this noose by withdrawing northwards, behind the Trident and the Blue and Green Forks, placing a natural barrier between them and their foes and raising the possibility of aid from the North and the Vale. Nor would Daemon and the Riverlords have to fight on two fronts necessarily; while Aemond claims it would be a 16 day march to Harrenhal, we know that inclement weather lead to Cole arriving after 19 days, followed by Aemond the day after. If rainstorms and mud affected travel on the Kingsroad to this degree, it should have been worse for the Lannister forces who crossed the Red Fork around Pinkmaiden, and were using local roads. Based on a distance map of Westeros, the distance from Pinkmaiden to Harrenhal would appear to be equal to that from King’s Landing, if not greater. With 1000 knights and 7000 men-at-arms and archers, the Lannister host would be twice the size of Aemond’s, and would be marching on roads which were likely narrower and less developed than the royal roads. Along with potential delays due to combat, one would expect the Lannister forces to be far slower than Aemond’s, presenting Daemon and the Riverlords an opportunity to face each Green army separately and defeat them in turn.
If Daemon chose to confront Aemond, the two would face off whilst Cole was confronted with a Riverlord army more than twice the size of his (based on our estimates from Part 4); however pleased Aemond would be to fight his uncle, the prospect of fighting most of the Riverland’s forces should have given Cole pause. If Daemon chose to confront the Lannister host, the Riverlords would confront a foe roughly their equal in number but with Caraxes tipping the scales in their favour, being half the size of Vhagar and also at an age and size where missile weapons could do little harm. Both scenarios would be plausible based on information available to both Criston and Tyland, save for exact numbers of Daemon’s forces; it’s doubtful Cole would have risked fighting a losing battle (as he demonstrates later at the ‘Butcher’s Ball’), or that Tyland would so willingly risk the life of his brother and those of fellow Westermen. We also have to assume that despite Blood & Cheese, Tyland and Cole would be completely unconcerned with the possibility of even parts of Aemond’s plan leaking out to the Blacks (as it eventually did), giving Daemon and the Riverlords even more time to concentrate against either host.
It is fitting that George offers no justification for their support of Aemond’s plan, as it is unjustifiable, nor is there any improvement in the quality of the writing once Aemond and Cole begin their advance. Cole commands the vanguard, defeating Ser Oswald Wode and Lords Darry and Roote at the Lakeshore before arriving at an abandoned Harrenhal after a 19 day march. Although one might expect Aemond to be flying with the vanguard, out of an eagerness to force an engagement with Daemon, he instead arrives a day after Cole alongside the main host. Gyldan claims that this was because he expected Daemon to attack the main host, but in light of the serious flaws with Aemond’s strategy, it makes little sense for him to act so cautiously when using his dragon. An exposed and vulnerable army would offer a more inviting target to Daemon, while also allowing Aemond to range ahead to seek him out; he could also disperse any opposition in the army’s path (see Daeron’s use of Tessarion in Part 3), likely reducing the time required to reach Harrenhal by ensuring a steady marching pace even with the poor conditions. This is a trend with how George writes Aemond, as his hot-headedness and obsession with defeating Daemon and the potential to further the Green cause or at least damage that of the Blacks, are always mutually exclusive and only ever results in negative outcomes.
There are some notable omissions that also affect Aemond and Cole’s advance; in The Dying of the Dragons - The Red Dragon and the Gold, we’re told that Lord Butterwell was among those lords who renounced their oaths to Rhaenyra and swore allegiance to Aegon II. The Butterwells are a prominent noble family in the Riverlands, with Alton Butterwell serving as Hand of the King to Maegor the Cruel; they were given control of Lord Harroway’s Town when Maegor annihilated that family (although the Rootes control it during the Dance), and by the time of the Dunk and Egg novels, the family owns a villa at Whitewalls on the eastern shore of the God’s eye. We don’t know exactly where there house seat and lands are located in the books, but it’s likely near Harrenhal to the northeast of the God’s Eye. Assuming Lord Butterwell was able to mobilize his house’s support for Aegon, we should expect that their forces would have aided Aemond; their location should also have given them some idea of what was going on at Harrenhal prior to Aemond’s arrival, allowing them to tip-off Aemond and Cole to the movements of Daemon and the Riverlords. Unfortunately, the first and last time the Butterwells are mentioned in the Dance is when Lord Butterwell swears his allegiance, after which George simply forgets that they exist.
George also continues his trend of acting like the rivers of Westeros do not exist, in this case with the Blackwater Rush. Having stated the importance of Aemond and Cole’s forces maintaining pace with the Lannister’s, and the difficulties they should have expected given the weather, it makes no sense to ignore the Blackwater Rush. The tributaries of the Blackwater run from the God’s Eye and the area between it and the Red Fork; if Cole were to travel up river with his troops, he could combine his forces with Jason Lannister’s much sooner. From Aemond’s perspective, Cole and Lannister’s forces pressing from the west would force Daemon and the Riverlords to escape eastward, and Vhagar would be more than capable of guarding the Kingsroad to prevent this. This plan is certainly unconventional compared to Aemond’s, but it shows the options open to the Greens had George actually acknowledged the Blackwater Rush in his narrative.
Aemond and Cole’s position deteriorates rapidly after taking control of Harrenhal, with King’s Landing falling to a surprise attack by Rhaenyra and her dragonriders, and the Lannister army being wiped out in the Battle by the Lakeshore sometime afterwards. The Green army loses some 400 men along with untold numbers of horses to disease, hunger and enemy ambushes, though we have no indication as to how much time passes. As stated previously and in Part 3, Aemond and Vhagar fail to inflict any real damage to the Riverlords with their attacks; this is inexcusable when we consider the speed with which Vhagar is apparently able to attack, as later accounts given to Daemon and Nettles describe Vhagar as appearing suddenly and disappearing without a trace. The only real explanation for this lies in George’s rigid adherence to his pre-conceived plot; as the Riverlands continues to play an important role in the Dance, nothing can be allowed to prevent this, even if it means sacrificing consistency and writing quality.
Aemond’s intransigence and the fall of King’s Landing, confronts Ser Criston Cole with an impossible dilemma; the lands surrounding Harrenhal have been laid to waste by the Riverlords, any foraging parties that are sent out do not return, meaning the Green army cannot remain. Cole resolves to take his army south to link up with Daeron and Ormund Hightower, but this choice makes little sense; while any course he adopts would likely end in disaster, Cole’s decision requires his army to march through hundreds of miles of enemy territory in the Riverlands and northern Reach. The Hightower army is besieging Longtable, the seat of House Merryweather, which is almost 500 miles or a 20 day journey from King’s Landing; to get there from Harrenhal would take far longer, probably more than a month. A westward march towards the Red Fork and the western hills would probably take no longer than it did to reach Harrenhal in the first place, and would allow Cole to enter the Westerlands and seek the aid of Johanna Lannister, or at least to enter the Reach from the north via friendly territory.
In any case, Cole’s army leaves Harrenhal and marches along the western shore of the God’s Eye, encountering the corpses of the Lannister army and enduring harassment from the Riverlords. Cole eventually encounters the Riverlords army at a ridge north of the Blackwater Rush; casualties and desertion have reduced his army to below the 3600 that left Harrenhal under his command. Against this were 300 mounted knights, 300 longbowmen and another 3000 archers, 3000 infantry of the Riverlords, and the remaining c.600 of the Winterwolves; commanded by Garibald Grey, Pate of Longleaf and Roderick Dustin, the Black army was more than double the size of Cole’s. As alluded to before, Cole chose not to fight a pointless, losing battle, but chose to spare the lives of his men by approaching the Black commanders under a peace banner, to offer his surrender. Surrender would have been a boon for the Riverlords, as most of the crownlanders in Cole’s army would likely have sided with Rhaenyra, while the delivery of Criston Cole to King’s Landing in chains would have been a massive coup for Rhaenyra. The surrender is refused, and Pate of Longleaf signals to Red Robb Rivers and has Ser Criston Cole killed by arrow fire; the Green army is then slaughtered it what becomes known as the ‘Butcher’s Ball.’ This decision on the part of the Black commanders makes no sense whatsoever; holding captives for ransom was a common practice in Medieval warfare, making the taking of prisoners an essential task. When Edward the Black Prince triumphed over the French at the Battle of Poitiers in 1356, he captured 2000 to 3000 French men-at-arms in addition to the King of France himself, John II. Rather than reap potential benefits and spare the lives of their men, the Black commanders fight a pointless battle that ends in the slaughter of Cole’s men, but only after killing an opposing commander under a peace banner.

ANYWAY, I'm imagining Jazz's horror when he fully realizes that Prowl and Smoky are not, in fact, highly intelligent mechanimals, but full fledged sentient beings with thoughts and feelings and desires. That Prowls not depressed and stopped singing because he's somewhere new, its because he was ripped away from his family and figures he won't be able to see them again. How does one deal with that.
ALSO, I know they can't speak Neocybex or whatever, but wouldn't they be able to taught how to write? Do mers maybe have their own writing system? Asking bc maybe Smokey starts copying glyphs he's seeing, or the twins try and teach him to write (bc honestly that seems like something a kid would do with a "pet" that has opposable thumbs) and thats what kinda sets Jazz down the road to discover that oh god the mers are sentient.

What I think Jazz or Punch would do, not sure which of them starts it but they teach, first Smokey and then when Prowl is willing to come over, him too, chirolinguistics to start. It could well be inspired by them seeing the Twins showing Smokey a book and him drawing the glyphs on the side of the tank. The mers definitely have their own written language, they scratch hieroglyphs into rocks and crystals.
Jazz doesn't frankly know what to do with this information. He has, I would think at this point, three sentient "pets" in his garden and he is a king and not pro slavery at all and what can he do to help them?
Need a medic. Someone crazy enough to humour him.

Honestly, same.
I’m torn between hating his guts (because I don’t like people like him in real life, his beliefs make me wanna smash my head against the wall, he’s cold, lacks empathy and feels superior to everyone. And he fucking brainwashes and kills others, wtf. Also I think he could easily get inside my head and mess with me, so no thanks.) and liking him because I’m SUPER attracted to intelligence (I’m very picky but traits like intelligence literally sweep me off my feet). And I’m guilty of wanting what I can’t have and craving affection from people who would never give that to me (or others), idk to feel like “yes, I’m definitely worthy if the most emotionally unavailable person likes me” (*cough* daddy issues *cough*).
And he fuels my perfectionism, I can’t help but compare myself to fictional characters and raising my standards for myself to an unachievable level (he can think 10.000 steps ahead of everyone and outsmart them every time? He always has pretty much fool-proof plans for every imaginable scenario? Why can’t i do that??? I must be stupid) beside that, he triggers my “oh you think you’re better than me? Fuck Fight me, bitch!” response, like what I have with dominant characters in general (I have to top them assert dominance >:\ someone like him thinking they’re superior to me would crush the last bit of self-esteem that i have).

I dislike Fyodor in a sense where he annoys me with his very stereotypical/unflexible beliefs and ideas and being a hypocrite (i mean almost all bsd characters are hypocrites but yk what i mean) but I like him because I think he is phenomenal character at the same time and very well written one too and besides of his lack of emotional intelligence and empathy, he has congitive empathy and makes best use out of it tbh, in general he knows how to play the game and he knows how to make the most potential of things which I highly admire about him
I think a lot of people get attracted to people they "can't" have or those who lack empathy like Fyodor (eyeing you Cole with this one) because it's in our nature to see how much can we change a person since most people love challenges lol and to see how we can affect others in that sense which ends up being hurtful to us, I am not particulary attracted to "cold/lacking empathy" type of people tbh, I dislike games like that and I am not someone who should teach someone else how to be emotionally mature and functional unless they need genuine help and genuinely have issues with self expression, then obviously I would help, however people who are like Fyodor or Fyodor himself eh, I don't really find them attractive or find myself attracted to them but rather boring or I get bored in a sense because I like people who have energy, who have will, who are passionate and have that emotional capacity
I do find his intelligence admirable but you need to remember he is a fictional character and he is not real, he is written by Asagiri so if someone's intelligence is to be admired it's Asagiri's intelligence, Fyodor will always be "perfect" because he is not real, he is a laid out story made by someone else who has free will to bend him over in any way they may want to due to this being fictional work and fictional character so it's kind of pointless comparing yourself to someone who is written to be almost flawless and who is made to be in a set up that makes his skills exceed, that's only going to make you feel worse about yourself and it's ultimately pointless comparisson to make in general, same goes for Ranpo, Poe, Dazai, Louisa and others who also have admirable/beyond average intelligence, they are written to be like that and it's pointless to compare to that when they are not real and never will be, at least not as versions that BSD gives us due to the storyline also being highly unrealistic for our world lol, yk what i mean, you need to separate yourself from that because it's only going to cause you harm for no reason at all, you can't do what he does because you live in real world with real issues and real unpredictable causes/problems, meanwhile he lives in fictional world where he doesn't even have to drink water or eat for months and he would survive lol, any comparisson is pointless in general yk what i mean
and I mean, Fyodor being arrogant, I don't approve of arrogance in general, but he has a lot of stuff to back it up with, so :3 I can't blame him either

Sorry but your streamer AU just gave me an idea of how said AU would be like, pls correct me if any of my takes are horribly wrong:
I'd like to think instead of 'battling' all the animals are instead battling on who can help people, via calming someone, be a service animal, etc.
TR just has a highly intelligent cat named meowth who just wants to be friends with pikachu but since cat and mouse, Ash and pikachu has a different thought in mind. (I just love imagining TR being kind to Ash and Ash trusting them only to see in the corner of his eye Meowth getting close to pikachu and going "oh no").
Half of his creature friends are animals but i'd like to imagine some of them are just plants, like Ash just streaming and his viewers just watches him bring a f*cking tree and saying "this is sceptile chat".
These are just what i think your streamer AU is like but i would love to know more :D, always loved all you AUs so this one particulat peaker my intrest, sorry if its long. Hope you enjoyed ^^

Some of them are Service animals, but most of them are just Ash's pets.
He trains animals to preform in certain areas. Such as a Seals for the Waterflower sisters.
He actually inherited this from his mom. So he's not the best but he's pretty good for a kid.
His main goal is actually a sanctuary where he gets abandoned and abused animals and raises them.
As for Team Rocket. Theyre rival streamers that joke and poke fun at Ash while they play games. James is a Bueaty Guru and Jessie does well with a Veterinary stand still.
Jessie has a cat named Meowth that tried to eat Pikachu once and they've all decided the two should be kept apart.
Though The duo find a way too eachother to cause havoc.
Plant based pokemon are actually animals! Bulbasaur is a frog and Bayleef is a lizard (what type, i dunno) but they do usually stick close to plants or always has something on them.
Bulbasaur is a lil weirdo that carries a fake baby succulent around with him. Bayleef is always munching on leaves. Sceptile clings to the tallest tree in the room.
He does have a few animals that's a catch and release.
Butterfree, a beautiful swallowtail butterfly that is no longer with him is the main example.

as much as I am not fond of Papa Korn as a whole, I have to admit, not for the first time, that he's the right man in the right place; intelligent, composed, cunning, but in a very distinguished way, and most of all, as Tawan said, looking at the bigger picture, not acting on the whim, like a true strategist that he is. so, when his own brother puts his own life in Korn's hands, I'm sure he would love to put an end to this farce, and yet... he doesn't.
exactly my initial reaction
one could say it would be a fitting punishment, a blow for the minor family, mostly for Vegas who stepped out of the line. but I don't think so, and I'm sure Korn saw more to it as well. obviously, it would wreck a temporary havoc in the underworld. though the mafia creed would find a paragraph for this brotherly act, particularly after the blatant clash, and the only person who would dare to make a move would be no one else than Vegas, that is why I highly doubt Korn was having second thoughts due to the family image. no, it was way more. I haven't read the novel and have no idea about the future events of the show, but I wouldn't put it past Korn if he only postponed the inevitable. especially after the words he said a moment after he put the weapon down:
"the victory comes from not taking advantage from the ones who are weaker"
I was ready to give him a standing ovation. Korn refused to end the dispute in the seemingly easy way Kan gifted him on a silver platter. instead, he hit his brother with something more painful than a bullet; a perfect shot to Kan's ego, reminding him where he stands in the hierarchy and ultimately why he is in that position instead of Korn's, "you are the weaker one here, my dear brother, and you don't pose a threat to me after all."
judging by Kan's taut expression, he would prefer to bleed out right there and then rather to hear those words and deal with the obvious repercussions awaiting him and his son (which doesn't mean he wanted to cowardly avoid it, I think this act could also be a part of a bigger scheme that Korn most likely ruined). not to mention I believe it was a direct hit towards Vegas' actions, trying to get to Kinn through other measures, not being able to confront him face to face due to their positions in the family. a double dose of humiliation thrown into Kan's face.
at the end of the day, Korn is scheming behind everyone's back and he's doing it quietly and efficiently, moving the chess on his both figurative and tangible board, adjusting his moves to every unforeseen circumstance. it's unsettling, and I don't trust Korn in any way, however on the other hand it's truly fascinating to analyse how he operates. that being said, if you haven't yet, check all of the amazing metas you can find in the doc made by LuckyDragon10, especially the chess ones when it comes to Papa Korn.
well, doubt I can call it a meta post, I'd rather say it's all just my rambling after rewatching the episode, but it's all the fun of kp to scrutinize everything, isn't it? oh, I'm all in for the mafia mind games, that's why I absolutely can't wait for the tense situation between the families to unfold. it's gonna be the highlight of the finale to me. also, if perhaps someone has already talked about the scene in a better manner than me and my evaporating braincells ever could, feel free to link the post, and if you have something to add pls do, I'll gladly read other opinions.

A lot of my drawings aren't of anything or anyone in particular. Designs might appear a few times but they don't have a story or anything. Some characters are my PCs from dnd.
I often draw the chimera, an animal with a girl face, which I also call a sphinx (as a genera of animal maybe), even if it only has a passing resemblance to the creature of myth. It has great intelligence, but its ways of communicating might not make sense to people. Some like to trick humans and torment them with psychic attacks. In general, they're elusive.
The world of my OCs is somewhere magical, where lots of horrific things occur and lots of weird creatures live. All magic users are highly in tune with a natural world that might seem different than ours. Elements like meat, bone, crystal, mushroom, are manipulated by those that are able to understand them (which can be anyone perceptive enough to listen).
The majority of people have no daily exposure to the world of magic, living in the capital city, where they are safe. The government there is run by demons who were once warriors, mages, scholars, and socialites, who are mostly concerned with bureaucracy now. Institutes on the fringes of the city might study magic and create ideologies, but those looking for power make pilgrimages out of the city to do so.
Meatgirl was born a couple of years ago. She was inspired by AI generated images of anime girls, which were at the time, crude and full of nondescript blobs that seemed like something gory to me. There are actually lots of Meatgirls, all made by the Necromatic queen who shapes them from lumps of primal meat. They live eusocially, but the queen's goals are mostly just studying, so their duties to her are usually to go outside to play with spiders and tending to each other. If working in collaboration, they have a small aptitude for magic. They are almost always happy and don't think about things that are complicated often. They live together out in the scrubland.
These two have made a couple appearances on my blog, they are both mages that study meat and mushroom, respectively. This mostly allows them to construct a themed realms with thrall they construct with magic to run their errands. They both have talent for magic but waste it showing off to each other.
This OC is called Aoife, they've appeared on my blog a few times, I draw them mostly because I think they are cute. Sometimes I draw them as a smooth horse thing for the same reason. Aoife is a demon seamstress who likes to sew cute clothes and stitch limbs and meat together to make experimental living things. They wear a suit over their whole body so it looks like they have skin, but it's starting to wear from use. They live in the city and work for the government. They're one of my favorite OCs.
Images of this genre usually depict the Formless Mound, which is a powerful being that came to me in a dream. Worshippers gathered around it and tore its vast flesh apart and smeared its blood across their faces.
They are Sean (mushroom) and Dakota (angel), old OCs from 2014 (I think)... They are friends that are sharing their afterlife together while wearing cozy outfits.
