Do you prefer the idea that the Fanatic is too much of a coward to actual enter the Courtyard, or that he can't ever get his hands on an invite because he burns every bloodsucker he finds and thus can't get in

Definitely the first. The second implies he's too much of an idiot to figure out how the Court operates. The Gatekeeper presents you with the invitation when it attacks, so he had to know such a thing existed if he ever faced one.

Besides, hounding and ambushing victims of the Curse while being too much of a coward to seek out the source of evil is perfectly in line with the kind of antagonist he is. He keeps two vials of the cure for himself only, he attacks the heroes outside of their homeground when they are likely exhausted from an expedition, he was mauled by a bloodsucker and therefore must have some degree of fear of what they can do. He's a wimpy little shit that fights you at 3/4 strength and no I'm not bitter ok yes I am.

i hate to bring this to the public attention, but the timeline of when achii, kenny and pepper were all besties was about 4-6 years ago from the current timeline

everything goofy and silly they did was in the 2-3 year period from their first intoduction to eachother

in the current timeline, pepper banned achii from coming to the fish market (the background of the story, achiis homeground) and they haven't talked to eachother for +2 years 😭

the "pepper is mean to achii" bit is when they were friends

Toto wants them to get along. Show a 'united front' when they land in Malaysia. Which means Nico is now flying in Lewis' jet, legs crossed and reading the third international newspaper. Lewis puts his headphones in, trying to ignore his presence, thinking bitterly there's no way Monaco has enough news to warrant a daily newspaper.

Lewis' jet is his homeground, so when Toto suggested they fly together, let the team snap a few pictures and caption it 'working hard together💪' Lewis had to roll his eyes.

"And invite half the grid and make a YouTube video on it?" Lewis had snapped in Nico's general direction, who'd been cozying up with the Redbulls and Jensen and Coulthard and any washed up driver/commentator that could chip in. The assumed friendliness made Lewis suspicious, who knows what Nico got up to in those flights -- what narratives he was setting.

"Not all of us have World Champion private jet money, yeah?" Nico smiled back acridly.

Bit rich, money talk coming from Nico but before Lewis could say anything, Toto just said, "Boys." in that reprimanding schoolchildren voice that meant his word was final.

Lewis is halfway through Kendrick's album when Nico approaches him. He opts to ignore him, and in one smooth move Nico slides Lewis' empty folding desk, creating space -- to Lewis' surprise -- get on his knees.

"What're you -- there's people, here, man." Lewis doesn't stop Nico's hands from unbuckling him, although glancing back at the closed curtain behind where the air hostesses, and some of the crew are.

"You'll just have to not draw attention. I know that's hard for you." Nico quips, stroking Lewis through his boxers.

Fuck, fuck you. Lewis thinks. He might have said it out loud too. Here's Rosberg playing one of his mind games again, here's Nico on his knees for him. There is a certain thrill, that anyone can walk in — the captains out front, the crew from the back, and they'd be exposed. Airtight NDAs and a few mill to keep it from leaking. Lewis has the foresight to press the 'Do Not Disturb' as he's mesmerised by the silver of Nico's Rolex against his half hard shaft.

"You do this on all your flights? That's how you pay em off?" Lewis slides hand in Nico's shiny blond locks, forever surprised at how soft they are. The platinum blondes he hooks up that have a shade similar are always coarse and rough from the bleach.

"Do you really want to know?" Nico asks, before leaning in closer to take the tip in.

Lewis' grip in Nico's hair tightens. He's right, he doesn't want to know.

Been making and painting minis for many years and i finally decided to get some 40k boxes. Do i have anyone to play with? Well, no but i like the world and aesthetic and honestly, i just like making minis.

Even though custom lego minifigs and fallout minis are my homeground, I'm pretty happy with my first attempt at an ultramarine.

Okay, I still haven't watched the show (I've seen the movie a million times) but Buckingham A League Of Their Own AU?

Chrissy is engaged, waiting for Jason to return from the war to get married (her idea), and she was happy and she did love Jason and of course she's worried about him fighting in the war but...she doesn't miss him like she thinks she should. And the thought of him coming home and her having to be a pretty, smiling housewife and nothing else, just like her mom, is stifling. Terrifying, honestly. So, when she hears about tryouts for a women's baseball league, she books a ticket to Chicago and doesn't look back.

She meets Robin at the tryouts and is immediately drawn to her because, sure, Robin babbles a lot and is weirdly clumsy off the field (but on the field? She's amazing) but there's a confidence in her that Chrissy really admires. Robin knows who she is and she's not sorry about it. And, when they end up on the same team, they grow closer, becoming inseparable until it's clear that they're both head over heels for each other (they kiss one night, but Chrissy is conflicted and doesn't want to act on their feelings again until she breaks it off with Jason and tells Robin she'll understand if Robin can't wait but Robin tells her she'll wait as long as she has to)

And, because I'm a diehard Steddie shipper, too, Steve—who had a promising career in baseball cut short by enlisting and then being injured—is the coach and I have no idea how Eddie factors into it but he's there and he's in love with Steve :P (I guess he could be a musician at a bar they go to/near their homeground?)

And I love Nancy, so she's there too—she's an aspiring journalist who's desperate to be sent to the frontlines but just keeps getting fluff pieces and she's sent with Jonathan (who isn't fighting for reasons) to do a piece on this new women's baseball league and she's annoyed but as soon as she sees them play she's like "I need to be out there!" and ends up on the team when another girl has to drop out or something
