#like everyone’s already seen the cringe fail flop version of this … i can’t just send the same drawing again that would make me look bad #also like an attention seeker #should’ve just waited man! #should’ve just let my perfectionist tendencies take over back then #peach rambles #on an unrelated note earlier today i stumbled across a few truly atrocious drawings from early 2021 and almost lost my entire mind #normally i don’t have such a knee jerk reaction but like they were my own ocs so. it hurts more #because i know i’m the only one capable of creating representations of them and i let them down #so it’s like if they only exist within that which i create of them then if what i’ve created of them is bad then. that’s all they are… #hurts my soul #i reacted so quickly with such horror that i impulsively hit delete on two of them… #and now i regret it so badly… i killed them… #i shouldn’t have done that even if i didn’t like the drawings anymore that’s a part of me that’s a part of my history as an artist #we can only learn from looking back at our mistakes! and i try to have empathy for my past self

DA2 has shitty lighting, I agree (as do most of the games) but I can say with absolute certainty that Sebastian is, in fact, brown. It's not just the lighting. Yes he has blue eyes, yes I also wonder why they did that, but he is not white in any capacity. Stand him next to just about any character we know to be white, like Anders for example. Stand him next to a character we know to brown like Isabela.

I never want to assume bad intent every time someone draws him too light, it could be a misunderstanding based on the games poor lighting. But I do want to reiterate that he is absolutely a POC and this should be taken into consideration when writing, drawing, or discussing him.
