also, idk who all wants this info but it was bothering me so i went and wrote it down for later usage.
Arthur Christmas Fans rejoice that I did math for you.
the first 295-369 AD 74 yrs
1,061 years for 2-9 (132 years on average for each? somehow)
the 11th 1430-1491 61 yrs
58 years for 12
the 13th 1549-1634 85 yrs
check notes at bottom of post. No, These years are not a typo on my part.
the 15th 1628-1689 61 yrs
16th santa somehow gets 114 years. Sure. check notes at bottom of post
the 17th 1803-1864 61 yrs
18 was santa for 38 years
the 19th (grandsanta) 1902-1941 39 yrs
the 20th (Malcolm) 1941-2011 70 yrs
the 21st (arthur) 2011- current
one of these has to be a typo, because otherwise 13 and 15 were both santa at the same time? My best guess is that 13 was supposed to be 1614? Which would make him santa for 65 years, instead of 85. And then the 14th santa would be only 14 years, which is weird but better than -6. so. I dunno, have fun with the lore implications of this typo that made it into the final movie. Of course, 15 is all kinds of messed up, but we can go ahead and assume that would actually be 1648, which would then make 13 -> 1549 to 1614 // 65 years as santa 14 -> 1614 to 1648 // 34 years as santa 15 -> 1648 to 1720 // 61 years as santa 16 -> 1720 to 1803 // 83 years as santa this is the most reasonable i can make it, but holy hell guys. how did no one catch this lmaoooo

Hi alot happened for one day that was 23rd January 2024
I came out to my crush. How did it go? well. mhm. a lot of thoughts and opinions on that
While it took off a burden from me, the thing is, i did want her uk. And talking to my sister about this has made me feel too childish but i think i did want to be in my childish era.
So the question is, am I a bisexual? Not something I will figure out right now, and not something I want to figure out right now. Do i regret sending the email? No. it made me grow up. And i am lucky enough that i sent it to a person who understands. I plan on putting this exploring thing on hold for now, and tell all the 10 people i did disclose this to, that i am not bisexual. What happened with j was something i have to figure out, but it certainly wasn't physical. While this might seem like lying to myself about this, I really really believe i was not attracted to her in a physical sense. And moreover, even if i was, she isn't. so that's something haha. Such a dry haha. anyways, see, i need to erase all that's been done and start with a new slate. The people who know about this, would get to hear that yes i am not bisexual and the people who don't would get to know that the mission of crush was called off.
as for her, i feel like i fucked up a lot there. I do minor regret sending the email since it was impulsive, but i need to clean the shit up. i have to make it clear i didn't like like her. or at least i think i didn't? idk bro i just feel like i made her this main character whom everybody falls in love with and seriously, i hate someone else to be that person. that's the main reason why this is all so very fucked up to me. god complex dediya bandi ko. eaw.
2. i got selected for bvc cabinet. while all this has been going on, i didn't get to rejoice this part. i was instead focusing on the fact i wasn't called in for interview for head girl/vice head girl. but then again, i might be getting a goddamn sponsorship award from the school. its all so very much happening. i got first prize in a psychoanalysis competition with 8000 rupees and got selected to go to it kanpur for a competition not to mention the rising star medal from bhumi??????/ so much accomplishment just in the start of the year?
also 83% in exams is a fucking bummer. i am beginning to realise that everyone is a main character of their life. i am not supposed to be the sole person whom everybody dies for, its just fantasy. here on earth every life holds as much value as mine. it truly does. i don't digest this fact well right now, but i will work on it and one day will.
okay bye have to prepare for legal tomorrow

WHO IS ISRAEL
The Honour Of Kings
The video that goes with this document: https://youtu.be/Q9cgOtT0cao
The Basic History
1.1 Israel Originally Were Twelve Tribes.
Judah
Reuben
Gad
Asher
Naphtali
Manasseh
Simeon
Issachar
Zebulun
Benjamin
Ephraim
Dan
1.2 Two Houses Formed.
Then, because of Solomon’s (son of David) disobedience to the covenant, in going after strange gods. Israel was split into two kingdoms: Benjamin and Judah in the south with Jerusalem remaining as their capital, and the other 10 tribes were in the north, with Samaria as their new capital. These two kingdoms, or two houses, are referred to as the house of Judah, and the house of Israel, (two sticks/two olive trees)
1.3 The Split Was Prophesied To Happen.
In Deuteronomy 4:27-31 we see the first prophecy that Israel will be exiled from the promised land and scattered from one end of the earth to another, where there they will worship other gods (🎅🐰🎄🎃).
27 And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you.
28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
In Deuteronomy 28:63-64, Moses gave this prophecy again in the same speech he delivered regarding the curses that would come with disobedience to the covenant.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
Later, in Deuteronomy 32:26 God reminds us of this prophecy which shall come to pass and tells us again that not only will Israel be scattered to the four corners of the earth, but moreover, their identity will be lost.
26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
We see the same loss of identity mentioned yet again in Psalm 83:4 (speaking of the other nations).
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
1.4 It Came To Pass That Israel Were Indeed Scattered.
In 722 BC, firstly, the northern kingdom was exiled in 2 Kings 17:5-6  (remember Samaria was their capital).
5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
Importantly, Assyria is the country that we call “Turkey” today, just north-west of the land of Israel. It’s also important to know that the northern kingdom has never returned. We will get into the prophecy of their return later with scripture, but for now, just  take our word on it.
1.5 The First Exile Of Judah.
After the northern kingdom was scattering, only the southern kingdom was left in the land, 2 Kings 17:18.
18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
In 605 BC The first wave of Judah got exiled into Babylon, we see an account of this in 2 Kings 24:10-16.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, as the Lord had said.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
In Daniel 1:1-4 we get even more detail.
1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
3 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes;
4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
You see here that Judah learnt the ways of the Chaldeans in Babylon. This is where the evil Talmud was written and where Judah learnt the ways of the sunset to sunset sabbath. A lot of bad tradition and doctrine came out of Babylon. This is why Yeshua was rebuking the Pharisees so hard, calling them of their father the devil, dead men's bones, etc. Because they began to worship the devil and taught the rest of Judah to do the same. You see, the Chaldeans were already a rich nation, they took the most cunning and skillful out of Judah, and became even more powerful. Descendants of Chaldeans still run the world today, we just call them the “Freemasons” or the “Illuminati” - The Oculus Cult.
1.6 The Second Exile Of Judah.
`In 586 BC, we see accounts of the final exile and destruction of the temple in 2 Kings 25:8-12, 2 Chronicles 36:15-21, and Jeremiah 52:12-14. Lets just read the Chronicle account for now.
15 And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate, she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
You see here two important details: Judah became servants to the Babylonians, and it was to be for a length of time given as “until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate, she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.”
Now you have to understand there is a weekly Sabbath given by God, made for man (Isaiah 58:13), the one in the 10 commandments. This weekly Sabbath is part of the Holy Covenant which we are still under today. Exodus 31:16  Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
And there was also an annual Sabbath (Leviticus 25) as part of the sacrificial law given by Moses, added because of transgression to the 10 commandments (Galatians 3:19) until the refreshing of the Holy Covenant. In this annual Sabbath the land and animals within were to gain rest for the entire year, every seven years.
So God says, “You wont keep my instructions? You won't listen to me? alright, off you go.”
So this passage here that we just read in 2 Chronicles 36:21:
21 To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate, she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
Is quoting that which Jeremiah already prophesied of in Jeremiah 25:11-12. (Threescore and ten years is just KJV language for 70 years).
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
1.6 Judah Return To The Land.
So the only reason that we have ethnic Jews in the country that we call Israel today is because their ancestors returned. Now, remember they picked up that evil Talmud and still reckon with Babylonian day counting, they still keep the Chaldeans traditions. That is why Jews are renowned for their belief in their ethnic supremacy because their Talmud tells them that anyone not an ethnic Jew is like unto cattle and basically to go ahead and abuse them. That once they’re in their idea of the kingdom, gentiles will be their slaves. There is a remnant of Judah however that knows their brothers and sisters are still scattered and are trying to find them as Yeshua instructed them.
We see the return of Judah in Ezra-Nehamiah, specifically in Ezra 1:1-4, Ezra 3:1-3  and Nehemiah 2:17-18. Let's just read Ezra 1 for the sake of completeness.
1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
4 And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
1.6 The House Of Israel Never Returned To The Land.
There is no account of the northern kingdom returning to the land in scripture. There is not even any serious debate over this matter in terms of the worldly historical view. There is no evidence of a return, this is almost universally accepted. In fact, if you do a bit of research you will even find that the Assyrians carried out a policy of forced population displacement.
But more importantly we do see many scriptures telling us that in the time of Yeshua, they were still scattered. As a matter of fact Yeshua tells us that he came for ONLYthe LOST sheep of THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL in Matthew 15:24.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Don’t worry though, we will read around this verse for context later and we will see that anyone can be saved. For now just understand that Yeshua himself said that he came only for those scattered sheep.
Israel Dispersed
2.1 The Jews Knew That Their Brothers and Sisters From The Northern Kingdom Were Lost.
When Yeshua told the Jews that he was going some place they won’t be able to find him, we of course know that he was talking about the kingdom of God. But we see that they thought in John 7:35 that perhaps he was talking about going to “the dispersed”.
35 Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
And if you open Strong's concordance on this verse you see that Gentiles just means Nations and that “dispersed” literally means scattered, from the root Greek word “Sown”. And would it blow your mind to learn that it's the same word Paul and Peter use when they address their letters?
2.2 Paul describing the ‘Gentiles’
Ephesians 2:11-12
11  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past 👉🏼Gentiles in the flesh👈🏼, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12  That at that time 👉🏼ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world👈🏼
‘Being aliens’ from the commonwealth of Israel means to be ‘estranged’ according to Strong’s Concordance, which by default means that they were, at one time,  part of the commonwealth of Israel, but by the time Paul was sent unto them they had completely forgotten the Holy Covenants and had no hope because they were without God.
2.3 My People, Which Were Not My People - The Divorce
So when Paul says in Romans 9:24 that God has called the Jews and the Gentiles, he’s saying Judah, and the house of Israel who were dispersed into the Gentiles and therefore now called simply Gentiles.
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As he saith also in Hosea, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
Moreover, let's see what he was quoting there in Hosea, its Hosea 1:1-11.
1 The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
4 And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu,👉 and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.👈
5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.
6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
10 👉 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. 👈
See it's clear, God will call those who were not his people (because they were divorced), his people again. Or as Hosea puts it, the sons of the living God. The only people who were his people, prophesied to one day be his people again, are the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Only Israel Get Saved
3.1 The Only Gates To Heaven Are Those With The Names Of The 12 Tribes on them.
John saw Heaven and he saw only 12 gates, with the 12 tribes' names on them. This is Revelation 21:10-13.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
You see, there is no Gentile gate, there is no Church gate.
Be sure to watch this too, a short video from our brother Mark explaining exactly this in more detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoXTi2-DMwE&t=168s
3.2 The White Stone.
This is why Yeshua says that he will give you a white stone with a new name written on it in Revelation 2:16-17. That is the name of your tribe that you have been grafted into, which is the gate that you will be entering in to the kingdom through
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
3.3 The Seven Churches That Revelation Was Written To Are All In Assyria.
In Revelation 1:11, Yeshua instructed John to write to seven churches in Asia, which is Asia Minor, previously Assyria, or the landmass that we call Turkey today.
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
Go and Google those places and you’ll see this is where they all are:
This is where the northern kingdom was initially scattered (2 Kings 17:5-6) before their descendants fulfilled prophecy by spreading to the four corners of the earth.
3.4 Letters Addressed To The Northern Kingdom.
Even look at first Peter. 1 Peter 1:1-2 is addressed to the ELECT strangers SCATTERED throughout nations in Asia Minor also.
1 Peter, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Yeshua the Messiah: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
All these nations were where the northern kingdom was scattered to as well, noting Galatia, same deal, the northern kingdom dispersed into the Gentiles, who are Gentiles.
James also, James 1:1.
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
James wrote to the 12 tribes. No one else. So if you don’t want to be grafted into Israel, you might as well throw out all of James.
Remember, the dispersion, the lost brothers and sisters, the lost sheep, were known to be in these northern nations at the time, John 7:35 which we read earlier is the evidence for that.
3.5 The New Covenant Is Only For Israel.
Jeremiah 31:31 tells us clearly that the new covenant, which is that God will give us new hearts when in the kingdom, is only made to Israel (which is both houses)
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:”
And you know this hasn’t happened yet, why? Because you keep reading Jeremiah 31:32-34:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34👉 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.👈
We know this new covenant made only with the house of Israel and the House of Judah hasn't begun yet. for three reasons.
Reason 1) Which two commandments did the Messiah elevate in Matthew 22:37-40?
37 Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
And what was he quoting? Deuteronomy 6-8 for Loving God, and Leviticus 19:15-18 for loving your neighbour as yourself (James calls this the royal law in James 2:8-9).
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
Without reading Deuteronomy chapter 6 to 8 to see what it means to love God with all your heart, mind and soul, (which you absolutely must do by the way), it means to keep his commandments. For Israel at the time, this meant the 10 commandments (the Holy Covenant), as well as the sacrificial law which was added because of transgression thereof. For you, now that Messiah refreshed the Holy Covenant, this simply means keep the 10 commandments.
And loving your neighbour as yourself IS LIKE UNTO IT and means to rebuke your neighbour when they break the 10 commandments. Let's read that quickly at least (Leviticus 19:15-18).
15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
And you see Yeshua cant have meant anything else in Matthew 22:37-40, because if God changes the definition of something later, then he is the author of confusion, let scripture define scripture, when something is defined in the bible the first time, that is its definition. You don’t get to redefine things to fit your deceitful heart's desire.
So the apostate church will say that the new covenant started with Yeshua's resurrection. But if Yeshua taught to teach your neighbors not to sin, and the new covenant is that you won't even need to teach your neighbors because everyone will know God. How can that be? Why on earth did Yeshua tell you to rebuke your neighbour if no one is sinning anyway under the new covenant?
Reason 2) Simply, the new covenant says that: “for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them”. Do ALL know God today? Absolutely not, we still live our lives surrounded by atheists and agnostics, even the Apostate Christian church itself has over 50,000 denominations. So if the new covenant is in effect now, that would make God a liar.
Reason 3) More simply, the house of Israel is still lost, so how can a lost house receive a new covenant?
The new covenant is for the millennial reign, where only then will the house of Israel be gathered, and Judah and the house of Israel will be able to receive the new covenant.
So, the new covenant clearly hasn’t happened yet. And when it happens, it only is given to Israel, the reunited northern and southern tribes, no house of Gentiles. So there's two options. Be grafted into Israel and be partakers in the kingdom, or remain Gentiles and die. You see how ridiculous it is to be so adamant that you want to remain Gentiles? If you remain a Gentile you don’t go to the kingdom. So be grafted in…
You Must Be Grafted Into Israel To Be Saved
So we have established that only Israel (both houses - all 12 tribes) make it into the kingdom. But the northern kingdom has been dispersed and lost their identity in the world. So how do you be saved? What's the plan for the lost sheep of the house of Israel?
4.1 What Being Grafted In Means.
Jeremiah 3:8  tells us that backsliding Israel (this is talking about the house of Israel) has been divorced.
8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
But just before that in Jeremiah 3:1, God says “yet return to me”.
1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the Lord.
But Deuteronomy 24:1-3 tells us that if you commit adultery you can't be re married.
1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4 Her former husband, which sent her away, 👉may not take her again to be his wife👈, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
So that's a problem right? Well the solution starts in John 17:9-10 where Yeshua says:
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
So keep that in mind now when we read Romans 7:
1 Know ye not, brethren, 👉(for I speak to them that know the law,)👈 how that the law hath dominion over a man 👉as long as he liveth?👈
Even stopping there, Paul is saying, “I’m only talking to those who know the law” so go back and read the part of the law he’s talking about at least. We already did just now but you see that's the clue, you have to keep your eye out for these things when you read scripture.
2 👉For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.👈
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
You see Paul, who knew the law probably better than anyone even alive today, is explaining to us that a woman can’t remarry so long as her husband lives. However, if her husband dies she is free to remarry and is no longer an adulterer. You probably see where this is going…
Recall that in Romans 9:24 Paul (quoting Hosea 1) said that God has called not only the Jews but the Gentiles. And in the next verse he calls this group of Gentiles “my people, which were not my people”. Well in Hosea 2:23 we get even more detail.
23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
YESHUA DIED FOR YOU TO ABLE TO BE REMARRIED WITH GOD. This is what dying for your sins means even. Israel sinned (with idolatry/spiritual adultery) and was divorced, Yeshua died for those sins so you could be remarried again, be born again, and become one with him.
That's the gospel by the way. Yeshua came to end sacrificial law, refresh the Holy Covenant (a.k.a the 10 commandments) and allow you to become married again if you keep that covenant. Super simple. The gospel isn’t that the Messiah came so that you could do whatever is right in your own eyes, forsake the perpetual covenant and enter the kingdom anyway. That's the apostate church version, and it’s exactly what the devil wants you to believe.
This is why the Jews today don’t care to get the lost sheep of the northern kingdom, because they don't believe in Yeshua the Messiah, they don't think the northern kingdom is allowed to come back (because they have been divorced) despite the many scriptures even in the old testament saying otherwise. They don't understand that Yeshua's death is the way that the house of Israel can return.
Being grafted in means you become spiritual Israel, you inherit Israel's instructions, covenants, as well as the promises, and curses thereof. Just like if you move from America to Australia and become a citizen, you drive on the left side of the road, you don’t say “na thats just for Australians, I’m going to keep driving on the right hand side” or worse, “sometimes I’ll drive on the right, sometimes i'll drive on the left, whatever suits me better that day”. If you do that and you’ll be deported, or CUT OFF.
4.2 Be Grafted Into The Olive Tree
In Romans 11:11-27 Paul likens Gentiles who repent and are obedient to what the Messiah taught, unto branches being grafted into an olive tree.
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 👉For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.👈
22 👉Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.👈(OSAS debunked).
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 👉For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?👈(Judah can be grafted in also).
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
So you see that because of the Messiah's sacrifice, you can now be grafted into Israel and enter the kingdom and new covenant. But, don’t be arrogant, because if he cut off the natural branches, how much sooner will he cut off the unnatural branches that were grafted in? Don’t do what the northern kingdom did in 2 Kings 17 (🎅🐰🎄🎃) otherwise you'll be thrown into the fire.
4.3 Yeshua Is The Olive Tree
Yeshua is the olive tree, we see that in Isaiah 11:1.
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
Jesse is David's dad.
Zechariah even saw this vision long before the Messiah came in Zechariah 4:1-3.
1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
And this is the real flag of Israel, it's not some 6 pointed star like the one you put on your christmas tree of remphan (Acts 7:43) which belongs to moloch.
43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
In John 15:1-6 Yeshua uses a parable of a vine.
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 👉 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.👈
So you have to abide in Yeshua or you get casted into the fire. John 14 tells you how to abide in Yeshua. John 14:15-21 says:
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
See clearly, to abide in Yeshua, matter of fact, to love Yeshua, means to keep his commandments. What commandments? The sacrificial law added because of transgression until Yeshua refreshed the 10 commandments? Of course not, to love Yeshua means to keep the 10 commandments.
4.4 Ezekiel's “Sticks”
Ezekiel 37:15-28 tells us yet again, that the two houses will one day become one again.
15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
And the word translated as “stick/s” here is really “Tree”. The lying pen of the scribes doesn't want you to make the connection to the olive tree.
4.5 The Wise And Foolish Virgins
The apostate church has to realise that they are the 10 virgins from Yeshua parable in Matthew 25:1-13.
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 👉But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.👈
13 👉Watch therefore👈, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Now compare those last couple of verses to what Yeshua says again in Matthew 7:22-23.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, 👉I never knew you👈: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The church are gentiles, who if they keep covenant are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel. Paul even says don't become proud, don't do the same things the ancient Israelites did in 2 Kings 17 because you will  get plucked out even quicker than they did because you aren’t even the natural branches. But they don't listen, and they absolutely have gotten proud. They even think they have replaced Israel and can go and do pagan witchcraft and lie to their children about it because they are ‘once saved always saved’. NO, you will get cut off. and that's Paul telling you guys this.
The apostate church just can't accept that they are the 10 virgins, and some will be wise and some will be foolish. The ones doing christmas and easter, not keeping the covenant from Horeb are the foolish ones who are building their houses on sand which will fall GREATLY.
So now we can come back to Matthew 15:21-28 like we said we would do. This is the passage where Yeshua says he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Let's read around it.
21 Then Yeshua went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Stop here. The coast of Tyre and Sidon, where is that? The North.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Yeshua answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
See this all happened to prove the point that gentiles, the lost sheep of the house of Israel, can be grafted in. It was only after the woman showed her faith that her child was made well.
How To Be Grafted Into Israel
5.1 You Must Keep The 10 Commandments To Be Grafted In
Isaiah 56:3-7 tells us this:
3 👉 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.👈
4 👉For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;👈
5👉 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name (white stone), that shall not be cut off.👈
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Pretty simple, to be grafted into Israel, and God's kingdom, you have to keep the Holy Covenant
Back to Hosea, Hosea 4:6 tells us if you reject knowledge, God will reject you.
6 👉 My people👈 are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Remember “my people, which were not my people” are those who are grafted into spiritual Israel.
The question begs, what is knowledge (from the root Hebrew word “yada”, which means ‘to know’)? Let's keep reading, in Hosea 6:6-7 we get more detail.
6 For I desired 👉mercy, and not sacrifice👈; and the 👉knowledge of God👈 more than burnt offerings.
7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
Yeshua himself even told you to go and learn what this means in Matthew 9:13 when he says:
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
So clearly knowledge has something to do with mercy, so what is the mercy Yeshua was speaking of? How do we obtain this mercy? Look at Deuteronomy 7:9-10.
9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which 👉keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations👈;
10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
Deuteronomy 5:9-10 tells us the same thing. You must read this whole chapter by the way. Because this is the same chapter where he tells us the covenant at Horeb is the 10 commandments.
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
10 👉And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.👈
So to be grafted into Israel, it is simple. Keep the 10 commandments. Yeshua tells us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light in Matthew 11:28-30:
8 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
You see, he even tells us to learn of him, learn what this easy yoke and light burden is.
At this point I would say go and watch our other video on the “Simple Gospel” if you are still not convinced that you need to keep the covenant.
youtube
If you don’t listen to all the scriptures we show you in that video, at least consider Proverbs 19:16.
16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
Otherwise get ready to hear “I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-27)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, 👉I never knew you👈: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a 👉wise man, which built his house upon a rock:👈
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 👉 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.👈
The wise man builds his house on the rock, which is the rock of Horeb and keeps the commandments given there in Deuteronomy 5. The foolish man is the apostate church, prophesied to fall, who know the true gospel, but forsake it to go off and commit spiritual adultery (🎅🐰🎄🎃).
5.2 After You Have Received Knowledge, Don't Turn Back
So once you receive the truth, you have to stay in it. Hebrews 10:26 says:
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.
Matthew 10:37 puts it another way:
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Then on the contrary, Yeshua says in Matthew 19:29:
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Hebrews 6:4-6 also tells us:
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 👉If they shall fall away👈, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
But the church won't show you that verse, or if they do they will twist it away to tickle your ears. Because this right here should completely debunk once saved, always saved. So ask a pastor how this can be if ‘once saved always saved’ is true, and watch them crap their pants and fumble to give you an answer.
Don't be like Lot's wife in Genesis 19:24-26.
24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
So when you come out of spiritual Sodom, don’t look back, you can’t drink from both cups, thats 1 Corinthians 10:21:
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Proverbs 26:11 puts it plainly:
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, So a fool returneth to his folly.
And remember what happens to foolish men, who build their house upon the sand? They fall.
Now go and read the parable of the seed sower in Matthew 13 to see what Yeshua has to say about this matter.
God Is Calling You To Do Exactly That - Be Grafted In
6.1 Come Out Of Her My People!
God wants you to come out of the apostate church which is a big ugly whore according to the book of Revelation.
God says in Revelation 18:1-5
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, 👉 Come out of her, 👉my people👈, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.👈
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Hosea 12:6 talking about both kingdoms transgressions says:
6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: 👉 keep mercy and judgment👈 and wait on thy God continually.
And Yeshua already taught us what mercy means, so this could read: “Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep the 10 commandments and royal law and wait on thy God continually.”
That is what you're supposed to hear, that is why Isaiah 28:10 tells us to read scripture in this manner:
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little
Hosea 14:1 says:
1 O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
In Isaiah 57:16-21 we see prophecy of entering the kingdom if we have a contrite and humble spirit toward God:
15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace 👉to him that is far off, and to him that is near👈, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
When Yeshua was talking to Judah, he even told them he had sheep that were not of their fold that must return in John 10:14-16.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 👉 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold👈: them also I must bring,👉 and they shall hear my voice;👈 and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
We know from Matthew 15:42 which we read earlier that Yeshua only came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel. So this passage in John is clearly only talking to Israel.
6.2 Get Your Brothers And Sisters As Well!
So not only is God calling you to be grafted in, but Yeshua tells you that it’s not good enough to just return yourself, but to also go and get others of his flock. That's why he asked Peter three times if he loved him, and everytime he said “Go, feed my sheep” in John 21:15-18.
15 So when they had dined, Yeshua saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Yeshua saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
And this is a requirement. You cannot feed your own belly. If you love Yeshua, you will love his sheep, if you don’t love his sheep, you don’t love him. Let's compare what we just read there with John 14:15-21 again.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
And If there was still any doubt, John tells us plainly in his first letter (1 John 5:1-3).
1 Whosoever believeth that Yeshua is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2👉 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments👈.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
And if you’re paying attention, this is exactly what we are trying to do with this presentation. Unfortunately, many are called, but only few are chosen. If you are watching this video, especially if you have made it to this point. You have been called, so do you choose? Yeshua said this in Matthew 22:14.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
6.3 Did Israel's Punishment End?
This is a bit of speculation, but there is some evidence in Ezekiel 4:1-6 that Israel's punishment might have ended in 2008. We see Ezekiel laid on his left side for 390 days for each year of Israel's iniquity.
1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 👉For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.👈
6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
So Israel went into captivity in 722 BC and Ezekiel received this prophecy where he was to lay on his left side for 390 days, a symbol of the punishment for the northern kingdom. But, the northern kingdom did not repent, they didn’t turn back to God, and God had already said long before in Leviticus 26:13-21 that if they don’t repent he will punish them seven times more.
13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 👉And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.👈
19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
So 7 times 390 = 2730 years. If you subtract the date of exile, 722, you get the year 2008 AD. Interestingly, around this time and after, a lot of people started to wake up to the true gospel and come out of the church.
Again, this is a bit of speculation, but we know also from Hosea 6:1-2 that the Messiah will tarry for two days before his return.
1Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
And from 2 Peter 3:8 that:
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
So if Yeshua died in 28 AD like many think, and you add 2000 years for two days, before subtracting 3.5 years for the great tribulation as per Revelation 12:14 (time, times and a half) and Revelation 13:5 (42 months), you get the sixth seal opening spring time in 2024. and only the 144,000 will be caught up to the throne, the church is the woman in the wilderness. But that will be a whole nother video. The point is in any case, just even looking at the prophecy being fulfilled, you do not have much time left to QUICKLY keep the two covenants of Ephesians 2 which is to keep the 10 commandments and eat clean & don't touch blood.
The urgency comes from Luke 16, the parable of the unjust steward, which we did a short video on here:
youtube
And we explain the two covenants further in scripture in this video here:
youtube
The Second Exodus
So the northern kingdom return to the land through another exodus, so great that no one will even mention the first one out of Egypt. This is told in Jeremiah 16:14-15.
14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
As well as in Jeremiah 23:7-8.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
The church used to know this too before they went apostate as was prophesied to happen in many places 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Timothy 3:1-9, and Daniel 11 to name a few. They used to have a hymn from Isaiah 51:11.
11 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
We will do another video on this topic but it is important that you know this has to happen.

White Shroud (pt III) // Allen Ginsberg
My years of haunting continental city streets, apartment dreams, old rooms I used to live in, still paid rent for, homeless keys didn't work, locks changed, immigre families occupied my familiar hallway lodgings - I wandered downhill avenues lost, money gone, I'd come back home - I couldn't recognize houses in London, Paris, Bronx, by Columbia library, downtown 8th Avenue near Chelsea Subway - Those years unsettled - were over now, here I could live forever, here have a home, with Naomi, at long last, at long long last, my search was ended in this pleasant way, time to care for her before death, long way to go yet, lots of trouble her cantankerous habits, shameful blankets near the street, tooth pots, dirty pans, half paralyzed stubborn, she needed my middle aged strength and worldly money knowledge, housekeeping art. I can cook and write books for a living, she'll not have to beg her medicine food, a new set of teeth for company, won't yell at the world, I can afford a telephone, after twenty-five years we could call up aunt Edie in California, I'll have a place to stay. ''Best of all,'' I told Naomi ''Now don't get mad, you realize your old enemy Grandma's still alive! She lives a Couple blocks downhill, I just saw her, like you!'' My breast rejoiced, all my troubles over, she was content, too old to care or yell her grudge, only complaining her bad teeth. What long-sought peace! Then glad of life I woke in Boulder before dawn, my second story bedroom windows Bluff Street facing East over town rooftops, I returned from the Land of the Dead to living Poesy, and wrote this tale of mind joy, to have seen my mother again! And when the ink ran out of my pen, and rosy violet illumined city treetop skies above the Flatiron Front Range, I went downstairs to the shady living room, where Peter Orlovsky sat with long hair lit by television glow to watch the sunrise weather news, I kissed him & filled my pen and wept. 6:35 A.M. Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms
for march 24 of 2023 with Proverbs 24 and Psalm 24, accompanied by Psalm 5 for the 5th day of Astronomical Spring, and Psalm 83 for day 83 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 1st revolution this year)
[Proverbs 24]
Do not envy evil people
or seek their friendship;
For they are conniving and violent,
and all they talk about is causing trouble.
Wisdom is required to build a house;
understanding is necessary to make it secure.
Knowledge is needed to furnish all the rooms
and fill them with beautiful treasures.
A wise man possesses great strength,
and an intelligent man knows how to increase it;
For with wise guidance, you can wage a successful war,
and with a council of many advisors, you will be victorious!
Fools can’t grab hold of wisdom; it’s out of their reach;
they dare not open their mouths in public for no one would listen anyway.
Whoever schemes to carry out evil
will be labeled a troublemaker.
Such foolish plans are sinful,
and the mocker is deplored by all.
If you fall apart during a crisis,
then you weren’t very strong to begin with.
Rescue everyone you can of those being taken away and killed,
and hold on to those innocent souls staggering toward their own slaughter.
If you excuse yourself, saying, “Look, we didn’t know anything about this,”
doesn’t God, who knows what you are really thinking, understand your motives?
Isn’t your Protector aware of why you aren’t protecting the innocent?
Will He not repay you in kind?
My son, eat honey—it’s good for you;
the honey that drips from the comb is sweet in your mouth.
Know, too, that wisdom is good for your soul:
if you find it, your reward will be a bright future
and an enduring hope!
Do not lurk outside the home of the just like a common criminal;
do not tear up the place where he rests.
For a good man may fall seven times and get back up again,
but the wicked will stumble around and fall into misfortune.
Do not celebrate when your enemies fall,
and do not rejoice when they trip up;
Or else the Eternal will know and be upset with you,
and He will release them from His anger.
Do not worry when evildoers go unpunished
or be jealous when the wicked seem to prosper.
Evil people will have no future;
the life of the wicked will be snuffed out like a candle.
My son, fear both the Eternal and His anointed ruler.
It is not wise to associate with those rebelling against them
Because disaster can arise from either of them without warning,
and who knows what destruction comes down from both of them?
The wise also say,
It is not good for a judge to be partial.
When a judge says to the guilty, “You are innocent,”
he will be cursed by all people; he will be hated by nations.
But those who reprimand evildoers will be celebrated,
and good fortune will come their way.
A straight answer is as precious
as a kiss on the lips.
Complete your work outside,
and get your fields ready for next season;
after that’s done, build your house.
Do not testify against your neighbor without a reason;
do not give misleading testimony.
Do not say, “I’ll do to him what he did to me!
I’ll repay him for what he did!”
Once I passed by the property of a slacker,
by the vineyard of a foolish man.
You should have seen it! The entire field was overgrown with thorns.
Every inch was covered with weeds.
Even the stone wall was crumbling down.
I took a moment to take it all in.
The scene taught me:
“A little sleep, a little rest,
a few more minutes, a nice little nap.”
But soon poverty will be on top of you like a robber,
need will strike you down like a well-armed warrior.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 24 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice:
Our world is all too familiar with violence and its victims. It’s easy to look the other way, pretend we didn’t see it, hope it goes away, or live in denial. Perhaps we are numbed to real violence because we are so entertained by the onslaught of it in modern media. But the violence in our homes, across our cities, and throughout the world is very real. Every day someone is beaten, captured, raped, enslaved, shot, robbed, stabbed, or run over. Wisdom calls us to step into those places and help those marching off to their deaths. God knows what we know. He knows what is in our hearts.
[Psalm 24]
A song of David.
The earth and all that’s upon it belong to the Eternal.
The world is His, with every living creature on it.
With seas as foundations and rivers as boundaries,
He shaped the continents, fashioned the earth.
Who can possibly ascend the mountain of the Eternal?
Who can stand before Him in sacred spaces?
Only those whose hands have been washed and hearts made pure,
men and women who are not given to lies or deception.
The Eternal will stand close to them with blessing and mercy at hand,
and the God who redeems will right what has been wrong.
These are the people who chase after Him;
[like Jacob, they look for the face of God].
[pause]
City gates—open wide!
Ancient doors—stand back!
For the glorious King shall soon pass your way.
Who is the glorious King?
The Eternal who is powerful
and mightily equipped for battle.
City gates—open wide!
Ancient doors—stand back!
For the glorious King shall soon pass your way.
Who is the glorious King?
The Eternal, Commander of heaven’s army,
He is the glorious King.
[pause]
The Book of Psalms, Poem 24 (The Voice)
[Psalm 5]
For the worship leader. A song of David accompanied by flutes.
Bend Your ear to me and listen to my words, O Eternal One;
hear the deep cry of my heart.
Listen to my call for help,
my King, my True God;
to You alone I pray.
In the morning, O Eternal One, listen for my voice;
in the day’s first light, I will offer my prayer to You and watch expectantly for Your answer.
You’re not a God who smiles at sin;
You cannot abide with evil.
The proud wither in Your presence;
You hate all who pervert and destroy what is good.
You destroy those with lying lips;
the Eternal detests those who murder and deceive.
Yet I, by Your loving grace,
am welcomed into Your house;
I will turn my face toward Your holy place
and fall on my knees in reverence before You.
O Eternal One, lead me in the path of Your righteousness
amidst those who wish me harm;
make Your way clear to me.
Their words cannot be trusted;
they are destructive to their cores.
What comes out of their mouths is as foul as a rotting corpse;
their words stink of flattery.
Find them guilty, O True God;
let their own devices bring them ruin.
Throw them out, and let them drown in the deluge of their sin,
for in revolt they brazenly spit in Your face.
But let those who run to You for safety be glad they did;
let them break out in joyful song.
May You keep them safe—
their love for You resounding in their hearts.
You, O Eternal, are the One who lays all good things in the laps of the right-hearted.
Your blessings surround them like a shield.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 5 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice:
The various psalms reflect nearly every human emotion: unbridled joy, deep-seated jealousy, seething anger, hope, and depression. These are only a few of the emotions behind the poetry we hear expressed in individual psalms. Feelings and emotions are central to what it means to be human. We cannot escape them nor should we. Psalms invites us to take the emotions we feel and bring them before God. This book models how to come before God in times of sadness, brokenness, and joy. Psalm 5 is a cry for help and a plea for guidance by a person who suffered at the hands of an enemy. It talks about the morning as the time to pray and listen for God to answer. Like many laments, it begins with a cry but ends in confidence.
[Psalm 83]
A song of Asaph.
O True God, do not be quiet any longer.
Do not stay silent or be still, O God.
Look now, Your enemies are causing a commotion;
those who hate You are rising up!
They are conniving against Your people,
conspiring against those You cherish.
They say, “Join us. Let’s wipe the entire nation off the face of the earth
so no one will remember Israel’s name.”
They are all in it together, thinking as one,
and making a pact against You:
The people of Edom and Ishmael;
the Moabites and the Hagrites;
Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the residents of Tyre.
And the powerful Assyrians have joined the alliance
to add their strength and support the descendants of Lot: Moab and Ammon.
[pause]
Do to these nations what You did to Midian,
to Sisera and Jabin at the raging waters of Kishon.
They were destroyed at En-dor;
they became like dung, fertilizer for the ground.
Make their rulers like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Who schemed, “We should own the meadows of the True God,
let’s take them!”
O my God, blow them away like a tumbleweed,
scatter them like dust in a whirlwind.
As a wildfire charges through the forest
or a flame sprints up the mountainside,
Send Your raging winds to chase them, hunt them down,
and terrify them with Your storm.
Redden their faces in shame
so that they will turn and seek Your holy name, Eternal One.
May they face disappointment and anxiety forever;
may they be ashamed and die.
May they know that You and You alone,
whose name is the Eternal,
are the Most High, the Supreme Ruler over all the earth.

i'm never good at math, and was never the kind of person that was active in recitation. so i tried my best (for the first time as a student) to do an advance study to make my advantage in quizzes and other written works (i seriously suck at participation so there's no other way but to rely on the other option) i had my sister to teach me things i couldn't understand even before our teacher could discuss it. and i did learn our topic. but only for a meantime.
when it was time to have a seatwork, i got a low score. i said i would try better the next time, but still ended up with disheartening remarks on our LONG TEST (which matters most than everything we've done). our teacher gave our papers to us today, and i want to burn each of them into ashes. i lost hope for math. maybe i'll get an 83 or 84 this first quarter (which will upset my WHOLE FAMILY; will serve like slap on my face; and make my nemeses rejoice upon my failure and humiliate me endlessly)
that's not the only thing. i think i really lost my faith with school today.
math was our first subject, so imagine how it set off my mood and prevented my brain from processing any other thought than pain and embarrassment.
so, it indeed affected my English class. our teacher came, holding our test papers ready to be checked by us too. she gave the other half to me (first row, center aisle) and i took ONE and passed it beside me.
AND THEN IT WAS THE WRONG WAY. i think i didn't hear her instructions that we, who sat on the first row, should take papers initially and pass it BEHIND US. i should've taken papers, not just one for myself.
soooo, my english teacher (who has been FOND OF ME BEFORE AND ALMOST MADE ME LIKE HER ASSISTANT ON OUR FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL) saw this opportunity to humiliate me and faced the class and said,
“Why are you guys passing the papers one by one? It will take us long if you do that. *then i was brought back to reality because i felt everyone's burning eyes on me* (and then she rolled her eyes) Please, you are Grade *********** students. You should be able to pick-up simple instructions. IF YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND ME (she knows full-well i understand english but still said because i might as well be illiterate because why the hell i didn't follow her?) PLEASE USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. PLEASE.”
those words stung, and i could recite it even when i'm asleep. the thing is, i knew this person, my english, once believed in me. it's sad that i let her down because of a petty reason. because i can't follow simple instructions. i hate english class. i hate tension. i hate the feel of me getting the spotlight because i did something wrong. i hate how they say mean things loudly, rubbing in salt into the wounds. i hate my stupidity. i hate myself. i hate everything about me.
those are the WORST HIGHLIGHTS of my day. today has been chaotic enough that my day couldn't go brighter that the highlights were also the most dull and somber. they stood out because they are ugly.
the rest of the day, i lost myself into flying again. i found myself havingt he right answer but failing to say it or even raise my hand because i was shy and alarmed enough to be humiliated even more.
it. was. like. this. everytime.
i don't want to see any of them.
i don't want to meet my teachers and prove something so they could give me a higher grade.
i don't want to chase.
i don't want low scores after i did my best.
i don't want humiliation.
i don't want to be this small in everyone's eyes.
but i am already are. and it sucks.
but above all,
i don't want to go back there anymore.

What is the advice of our religion on issues like laughing, smiling and laughter? Are there any manners of laughing?
Answer 1:
Laughing is generally defined as "the stretching of the face in a way that makes the teeth visible as an expression of joy or psychological relief" in classical resources; the slight type of laughing is called smile and the loud one is called laughter. (Raghib al-lsfahani, al-Mufradat, "dhk" item)
It is understood from the examples in the Quran that it is natural for man to laugh in the face of some good news and interesting happenings. (Kindi, Rasail, I, 126) The verse stating that it is Allah who grants laughter and tears (an-Najm, 53/43) expresses the naturalness of laughing and weeping as well as the greatness of the power that creates opposite traits in the same being. There are verses indicating that laughing is an expression or mocking and despising. (al-Mu'minun, 23/ 109-110; az-Zukhruf, 43/47; an-Najm, 53/ 59-60) The polytheists laughed at the believers in the world but the believers will laugh at them in the hereafter (al-Mutaffifin, 83/29-36); on that day, some of the faces will be beaming, laughing and rejoicing while other faces will be covered by blackness. (Abasa, 80/38-41)
Since laughing is a quality that determines human character and is an attitude frequently seen in human relations as something peculiar to human beings, resources related to Islamic ethics have analyzed this concept. There are hadiths stating that the Prophet (pbuh) smiled and laughed in the face of witty remarks, interesting contradictions, surprising developments and some other deeds. Those hadiths reflect his tolerance along with his lenient character. (see Bukhari, "Adab", 68: "Fadailu Ashabin-Nebi", 6; Muslim, " Fadailus-Sahaba", 22)
However, it is stated in the hadiths in question that the Messenger of Allah’s laughing was in the form of smiling and that he provided joy and peace to the people around with his smile. (Bukhari, "Adab", 68; "Tafsir", 46/2; Muslim, " Fadailus-Sahaba", 134; Tirmidhi, p. 120-124)
According to what is understood from hadiths, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was generally a gracious and cheerful person. That is, he put on a happy face even when he was distressed and did not do anything that would sadden the people around him. When he met the people whom he loved very much, his smile would increase. (see Tirmidhi, Manaqib, 10; Abu Dawud, Istithqa, 2)
Taking also the hadiths into consideration, Islamic ethicists state that laughing is in compliance with human nature, ethics and good manners but that it is difficult to maintain the balance in laughing as well as in humor. Therefore, ethicists attract attention to the fact that not to laugh and to try to suppress laughing under normal conditions make a person unattractive but that to laugh very much harms the personality and solemnity of a person, makes him not to take important matters seriously and leads to heedlessness and that to laugh by making practical jokes and by making fun of people and backbiting them lead to hostility among people.
Answer 2:
There are differences among smiling, having a smiling face, laughing a little, laughing a lot, laughing out loud, smirking, laughing unnecessarily, laughing sarcastically, laughing jeeringly, making others laugh and making others laugh unnecessarily. None of them is the same as another. Some of them are encouraged and some of them are regarded permissible while we are advised to avoid others. Let us deal with them separately:
1. It is sunnah to smile, to have a smiling face and to laugh a little. One gets the reward of sadaqah with them. They give peace to the heart and the spirit. They bind people together, forming trust, warmness and closeness among them. They increase friendship, end enmity and prevent resentment. They eliminate the hatred, grudge, fury, anger and resentment, which come from Satan.
The Prophet (pbuh) smiled and had a smiling face. He would not sulk in the presence of people. When he was angry, he would not show it. He said,
“It is a sadaqah for you to greet people with a smiling face.” (Jamius-Saghir, 4/1513)
“Allah loves a person who is lenient and who has a smiling face.” (Jamius-Saghir, 2/503)
“You cannot please everybody with your wealth. Then, please them with your smiling face and good manners.” (Jamius-Saghir, 2/661)
“Allah does not like a person who pulls a long face at his believing brother.” (Jamius-Saghir, 2/500)
“Fear Allah and do not underestimate any favor even if it is in the form of giving some water to a person who wants water or welcoming your believing brother with a smiling face.” (Muslim, Birr, 144; Tirmidhi, At’ima, 30)
2. Laughing a lot, laughing out loud, smirking, laughing unnecessarily, laughing sarcastically, laughing jeeringly, making others laugh and making others laugh unnecessarily are forbidden by degrees.
“The Prophet (pbuh) kept silent a lot and laughed a little.” (Musnad, 5/86)
The Quran does not approve of laughing unnecessarily:
“And will ye laugh and not weep!” (an-Najm, 53/60)
The hadiths that warn us regarding the issue are as follows:
“Laugh a little because laughing very much kills (hardens) the heart.” (Tirmidhi, Zuhd, 2; Ibn Majah, Zuhd, 19)
“If you knew what I know, you would laugh a little and weep a lot. You would go up to high mountains and beg Allah because you do not know whether you will attain salvation or not.” (Jamius-Saghir, 4/1427
“He who commits a sin by laughing will enter Hell.” (Jamius-Saghir, 4/1534)
“There are two kinds of laughing: There is one kind that Allah loves and there is another kind that Allah punishes a person because of it. The one that Allah loves is as follows: A person meets a believing brother that he wants to see and becomes happy due to seeing him. The one that Allah punishes a person because of it is as follows: A person utters an offensive, hurting, biting, despising, mocking, vulgar or bad word in order to laugh and make others laugh. He falls into a hellhole of seventy layers down.” (Jamius-Saghir, 3/1149)
“I am surprised by a person who chases the world though death chases him. I am surprised by a person who acts heedlessly though he is not left unattended. I am surprised by a person who laughs out loud though he does not know whether Allah is pleased with him or not.” (Jamius-Saghir, 3/1174)
“I have just been shown Paradise and Hell at the edge of that wall. I have never seen the important outcomes of doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds before. If you knew what I know, you would laugh a little and weep a lot.” (Bukhari, Salah, 51; Muslim, Fadail, 134)
“Eating before getting hungry, sleeping before feeling sleepy, smirking without seeing anything funny, screaming in the face of a misfortune, playing a musical instrument illegitimately at the time of boons are things that bring Allah’s wrath.” (Jamius-Saghir, 3/1313)
“Allah regards the following six things ugly:
1. Doing unnecessary things while performing a prayer,
2. Rubbing it in after a charity,
3. Doing things that could endanger fasting,
4. Laughing next to graves,
5. Entering a mosque as junub,
6. Looking inside a house without the permission of its owner.” (Jamius-Saghir, 2/479)
It is permissible to laugh normally unless it aims to humiliate and mock others and unless it is not exaggerated. However, it is not appropriate to laugh out loud and to make programs that last for hours in order to make people laugh. For, laughing excessively might be the result of being heedless of Allah, not being a joking, witty or smiling person.

Akumatized Luka Idea!
Class salt (Spare a few (Juleka & Nathaniel)) After their daughter comes home in tears, Sabine and Tom call for Luka to comfort her. She tells him everything that happened. Lila pulls some shit and everyone (sans two) follow her words while Adrien does nothing to help her.
To make his Broadway Baby girlfriend feel better, Luka sings some of Marinette’s favorite songs from musicals. The one that calms her down is ‘Our Love is God’ He sings the song with more passion than the others, since he finds himself relating to JD in a way. He thinks about all the people who have hurt Marinette, becomes angry, and cue Hawkmoth.
He gets Akumatized into Musical Mayhem. His goal is to destroy all those who have hurt his Melody by using his guitar case that carries various musical-themed weapons (Mountain Dew Red Bomb/Gun Hamilton was shot with/Mormon tie whip/Evan’s cast gauntlet/Heather’s sledgehammer/SQUIPS that he can use to control people)
Musical Mayhem’s philosophy is similar to JD’s, which is “Kill all the assholes.” He’s constantly smothering his ‘Melody’, will kill anyone who dares to hurt her or make her cry, and he sometimes sings. Also, he tries to destroy the school so it’ll just be him and Marinette.
At one point, when Marinette tells him to stop his rampage, he sings Meant to Be Yours

If the Art Club was basically the Addams Family
They’re morbid, have a dark sense of humor, are never seen without black, and spiders hide in their hair
Nathaniel: Gomez Addams
Always has this sinister smirk that screams, ‘I will murder you in your sleep.’
Gets excited when his boyfriend speaks Spanish
Marc: Normal people. Tan extraño.
Nathaniel: Monochrome, you know how I get when you speak Spanish! *Kisses his arm*
Never seen without his black blazer
Sharpens the ends of his paintbrushes so they can be used as knives... No reason, just does it
Blood Red and Death Row Black are his favorite colors
A true romantic
Makes passionate love with Marc at least four times a day
Nathaniel: My monochromic nightmare. Stab my heart a thousand times and I will be yours until death do we part!
Marc: I’ll got get my dagger.
Nathaniel: Will it be painful?
Marc: So much.
Marc: Morticia Addams
Wears tight black outfits
Cuts the buds off of flowers
Marc: Ugh. *Cutting up roses* Who in their right mind would plant these?
Weirded out by normal people
Marc: Nathan. That child is smiling at me. Almost as if he were... Happy.
Nathaniel: Monochrome, look away. *Shields Marc’s eyes*
Writes morbid poetry and eulogies
When Mendelive asked him to a say a prayer for their dead class hamster, this is what he said-
Marc: Come, sorrow; we welcome thee. Let us join in grief, rejoice in despair, and honor the fortunate dead.
Cut to the students and teacher backed into a corner far away from him
Encourages his friends torturing people they despise
Marc: Alix, what are you doing with that bow and arrow?
Alix: I’m gonna shoot Kim when he’s not looking.

Headcanon!
Nathaniel is not above using blackmail
Nathaniel: *Sighs* Lila, I wish it didn’t have to come to this. I really didn’t. But, if you continue to lie about Marinette, harass Adrien, and take advantage of my gullible friends, I will show everyone this photo of you grabbing an Akuma. *Shows Lila the very incriminating photo*
Lila: HOW’D YOU GET THAT?!
Nathaniel: Just one of the perks of being unnoticeable. Do we have a deal?
Lila: … No! Forget it! I’m calling your bluff.
Nathaniel: Ah. I see… Well, in that case- HEY EVERYONE! LOOK! A PHOTO OF LILA! AND SHE’S-
Lila: *Covers his mouth* Okay! Just shut up and give me that photo.
Nathaniel: Nope. I’m gonna hold onto this as… Let’s call it leverage. Step out of line, and everyone will know you’re working with a terrorist, Rossi.
*One day later!*
Lila: *Being handcuffed* YOU BASTARD! I DID WHAT YOU SAID!
Nathaniel: Yes, but here’s the thing. I don’t like you.

Anymore headcanons for the Artist Family? Are they rich and classy like the Addams?
They make a ton of money off of Marinette’s commissions, Marc/Nath’s VERY detailed gothic graphic novels, Juleka and Rose playing music at funerals, and Alix’s demolition business
The converted funeral home they live in is spacious and could be mistaken for a mansion
Rich people dining! Five chandeliers in the dining room, black as night table with thirteen candelabra made from ashes found in the embalming room, old caskets converted into cabinets, doilies spun by spiders, and a tigers head hanging on the wall
One of their Kwamis, I’m thinking Screech, takes a human form and drives them around in their car, a 1940 LaSalle Meteor Hearse
One of the teachers fainted when they came to school in that
Juleka: They’re clearly jealous.
Alix: Yeah! Not everyone gets to carry around the dead wherever they go!
There’s a ton of rooms in the house
The crematorium has been converted into a dungeon filled with vintage weapons they bought from museums
Marinette: How much for the battle axe?
Museum Director: Excuse me? I’m afraid these aren’t for sale.
Marinette: *Pulls out a massive wad of cash* Let’s try this again, shall we?
They gladly donate stacks of cash to local museums with torture and Black Plague exhibits. There’s even a couple of wings named after them
The embalming room stays, because who doesn’t enjoy a good embalming room?
Their closets are filled with 17/18th century gothic and modern gothic outfits
Marinette/Juleka/Rose/Marc/Nathaniel/Alix
Marc and Nathaniel rent out the catacombs once in a while when they’re on dates
Nathaniel: Look at you. Midnight, candle light, surrounded by death.
*An explosion cuts them off as they’re about to kiss*
Marc: One home, the six of us, and so many windows.
Rose and Juleka do the same but with cemeteries
Juleka: It’s shame we can’t watch the departed decompose above ground.
Rose: *Pulls out a shovel* Wanna watch now?
Learning about their wealth, Lila tries to kiss up to them by boasting about being related to H.P. Lovecraft. That didn’t end well
Nathaniel: The man is a notorious white supremacist. (Look it up)
She tried again
Lili: I-I meant I was related to Edgar Allen Poe! You see, he’s my great, great grandfather, and I actually dabble in a little poetry myself.
Marc: Poe had no children.
Marinette: But if you were his descendant, you would have an extra row of teeth or a tail, or you aren’t able to taste salt.

At the second TSU meet at the end of June, Prince finally got a time of 16:58:14. All of the members of Chikusei-sou had at last earned the right to participate in the Hakone Ekiden qualifiers.
After the race was over, the residents joined hands in a corner of the field and rejoiced. They danced in a circle with their hands still joined as their happiness intensified. They continued to turn around in their ring formation, which looked like a ceremony to summon a UFO, until a totally exhausted Prince sank down to the ground.
Kakeru didn’t join the circle, instead watching the residents from a short distance away. He did feel happy and relieved that they were able to participate in the qualifiers now, but he thought that it was too early to be that happy.
Seeing the excited members of Chikusei-sou, the runners from other universities started murmuring to each other.
“I heard that they can join the qualifiers now. That’s pretty good.”
“But there’s no way they’re going to pass the qualifiers, no matter how you look at it.”
“Well, it’ll be a nice memory, so isn’t it fine?”
They talked among themselves, laughing slightly. Kakeru could keenly sense the various implications in those laughs.
Spotting Kakeru standing a short distance away from the circle, TSU’s Sakaki approached him.
“I heard you guys are aiming for Hakone. Make sure not to embarrass yourselves at the qualifiers.”
Kakeru glared at him. He was frustrated, but couldn’t say anything back.
“Kakeru.”
Kiyose waved him over, and he left Sakaki to walk over to the circle.
“You all did a great job,” Kiyose said, showing his appreciation simply. “We’re a step closer to Hakone. From now on, we’ll train to increase our distances. But first, we’ll have a grand party tonight; after our evening jog, gather in the twins’ room.”
“Woohoo!” the twins cheered. Kakeru hid cool feelings beneath his smile. We have parties all the time, don’t we?
He called to mind each member’s best official records at this point in time.
Kakeru   14:09:95
Haiji                 14:20:24
Musa      14:49:46
Jouji                15:03:08
Jouta      15:04:58
Yuki        15:36:45
Shindou  15:39:23
Nico-chan       15:59:49
King                16:03:83
Prince             16:58:14
They were now able to participate in the qualifiers, but rather than being set free from his impatience, Kakeru’s mind was becoming increasingly filled with frustration. That was why the alcohol didn’t taste good at all even during the party in the twins’ room. Unable to join in with the rowdy atmosphere, Kakeru sat by the window.
Kiyose’s home cooking was almost entirely eaten up, and after taking a rest, the residents all began to praise Prince.
“I was afraid of what might happen, but Prince pulled through,” King said.
“Today’s last spurt was amazing. You made it to the finish line in just under seventeen minutes,” Shindou said.
“Yes. Prince’s gallant figure brought a few tears to my eyes,” Musa said.
As a reward for Prince, the twins presented him with the weekly manga magazine that had gone on sale early, which they had gone to buy from the shopping district. He immediately put aside his drink and started reading it at rapid speed. Nico-chan and Yuki laughed as they watched him.
Irritated, Kakeru muttered, “Is it that great?”
Startle gazes gathered and fell on Kakeru. Unable to stop now, he spoke again.
“Prince-san’s time is not something to be proud of.”
“Well, yeah, that’s true,” Prince agreed, nodding without lifting his eyes from his magazine.
“What do you mean by that, Kakeru?” Jouta stormed, turning on him. Even Jouji, who was always cheerful, protested with a forceful tone.
“Prince-san shortened his time a lot in three months, you know? If he keeps going at this rate, he’ll be able to run five-thousand meters in an instant by the time the qualifiers come around!”
“I highly doubt that,” Yuki quipped. Kakeru ignored him and turned to Prince again.
“Do you understand, Prince-san? This is no time to be reading manga.”
“Not at all.” Prince paid him no mind, but the twins stood up angrily.
“Stop it, Kakeru! You’ve been weird lately. It’s kinda scary.”
“He’s right. Quit blaming Prince-san. If you have something to say, say it to all of us!”
“I will!” Kakeru put down his cup and stood up, too. “We’ll never make it to Hakone if you guys keep running at a snail’s pace like this! Never! So I have no idea how you guys can drink so carefreely!”
“Kakeru, Kakeru. You’ve been drinking a lot too, haven’t you?” Shindou frantically gripped Kakeru’s ankle. “You’re drunk. Right? Just sit down.”
Musa tried to calm the twins as he held them back under his arms. However, the three first-years of Chikusei-sou shook off their seniors’ restraints and started grappling with each other.
“Don’t talk so high and mighty just ‘cause you can run a bit faster!”
“You told me to talk, so I did!”
“There’s things you can and can’t say, you know! Not everyone can run as easily as you!”
“You can say those kinds of things after you practice more! But it might be pointless no matter how much you practice!”
“That’s too far, Kakeru.” Nico-chan tried to sit up.
“Don’t get too full of yourself, you asshole!” King tried springing at Kakeru faster than the twins, but he didn’t make it.
Kiyose, who had been quiet until that point, ran up to Kakeru with a leopard-like agility and ferocity and grabbed him by the collar. “You idiot!” he yelled. “Wake the hell up! Why won’t you acknowledge that Prince and everyone else are trying their best! Why are you denying their sincere running! Is it because their times are slower than yours? Is speed the only thing you value? If that’s the case, then there’s no point in running. Ride the train! Take an airplane! Those are faster!”
“Haiji-san…”
Not just Kakeru, but everyone in the room was shocked still by Kiyose’s furious look.
“Know this, Kakeru. You can’t only pursue speed; that’s empty and pointless. You can figure that out by looking at me, right? It’ll be too much someday…”
Kiyose’s words were suddenly cut off. He staggered as the strength went out of his hands, which had been grabbing Kakeru’s shirt.
“Haiji-san!” Kakeru panicked, supporting Kiyose’s body. “Haiji-san, what’s wrong!”
Kiyose was pale, his eyes closing languidly.
“Hey, Haiji-san! Stay with me!”
He didn’t react even when Kakeru slapped his cheek.
“What do I do, he’s not conscious!”
“What!”
The room fell into panic. Yuki immediately took Kiyose’s wrist and checked his pulse.
“Twins, lay out a futon! Someone call an ambulance. Actually no, it’s faster to call a doctor. Tell the landlord to ask for a house call right away!”
Jouta and Jouji took out a futon from the closet, sobbing, “Haiji-san, don’t die!”
Shindou and Musa leaned out of the window and shouted towards the main house, “Sir, we need your help!”
A flustered Prince went down to the first floor to get water, and King, disconcerted, just wandered around aimlessly.
Kakeru, along with Nico-chan, laid Kiyose down on the futon. Even though Yuki told him not to worry so much, Kakeru refused to leave his bedside. Until the neighborhood family physician the landlord called arrived, Kakeru stayed next to Kiyose, his head hanging down.
Consultation hours had finished long ago, but the old physician was an acquaintance and immediately came running. The doctor pushed his way through the residents gathered around the futon and approached Kiyose. He checked under his eyelids, pressed a stethoscope against him, and checked for the presence of heat in his palms. Finally, he looked around at everyone and spoke a single word: “Overwork.”
“He seems to have anemia, but right now he’s more asleep than unconscious.”
“He’s…sleeping?”
The residents shifted their gazes from the doctor to Kiyose all at once. Certainly, Kiyose’s chest was peacefully rising and falling with regular breathing. It was good that he wasn’t seriously ill, but they felt drained, wondering why there was so much fuss over calling a doctor.
“I’d say he’s been accumulating fatigue from lack of sleep.” The doctor searched through his black bag and quickly prepared a syringe. “I’ll give him an injection with some nutrients. Let him rest tonight. If anything happens, you can call me again. Now, take care. Don’t let him work too hard.”
“Thank you very much.”
All of them said their thanks, and Yuki and Shindou accompanied the doctor to the front door. Kiyose had continued to sleep, even as he was being pricked with a needle, and the twins put the blanket over him again.
“It’s my fault. I made Haiji-san worry…”
Kakeru hung his head, watching Kiyose’s sleeping face. He felt frustrated and pathetic. Even Rokudou’s Fujioka had perceived that Kiyose was not in good shape, but Kakeru hadn’t noticed anything; he was so focused on running that he couldn’t even see the people he was living together with.
Prince, who was sitting across from him on the futon, weakly shook his head. “That’s not true. It’s my fault that I can’t run fast.”
Like the forest animals after learning of the Buddha’s death, Kakeru and the others solemnly gathered around the futon. Yuki and Shindou, who had returned from seeing off the doctor, recoiled at the wake-like atmosphere before they sat down on the tatami.
“If you think about it, we have been leaving everything up to Haiji-san,” Musa said.
“Yeah.” King crossed his arms. “Haiji was doing the administrative stuff like applying to meets and even cooking all the meals.”
“He worked like a coach-slash-manager-slash-dorm parent,” Jouta said.
“It’s partly because we’ve been so busy training and training, but we’ve been putting too much pressure on Haiji-san.” Shindou seemed to be chewing on bitter thoughts.
Jouji made a proposition with a purposely bright tone. “From now on, let’s at least take turns cooking. Let’s all work together.”
Sounds of agreement rose up here and there.
“If that’s the case, let’s make up,” Nico-chan said as he looked between Kakeru and Prince.
“Yes.” They both nodded, Prince readily and Kakeru timidly, embarrassed by his childish attitude.
“The twins should forgive Kakeru too,” Yuki said, and Jouji and Jouta glanced at Kakeru embarrassedly.
“Of course,” they said in unison.
“Come on, let’s all get along.” Nico-chan took the lead. “Don’t let Haiji’s dying wish go to waste. Let’s go to Hakone as one.”
“Yeah!”
The residents of Chikusei-sou gripped each other’s hands tightly over the futon where Kiyose was sleeping.
“I don’t remember being dead. I hope I’m not.”
Surprised, Kakeru looked at the pillow. Kiyose’s eyes were opening.
“Good grief, what’s all this?” He moved the residents’ arms that were complicatedly tangled over his stomach out of the way and tried to sit up.
“Please sleep!” Kakeru hurriedly pushed Kiyose’s shoulders and made him lie back down on the futon. “Haiji-san, you collapsed. The doctor said you got anemic from overwork.”
“I see. Sorry I caused trouble.” Kiyose looked up at Kakeru’s face, who was peering down at him. “But it looks like the fight is over—that’s good to see.”
Kakeru shifted to intentionally sit in seiza. “I’m sorry,” he said with his head bowed. “I’ve been so on edge and impatient for a long time.”
“Was it because the music coming from Yuki’s room is too loud?” Nico-chan said, a sympathetic look in his eyes that said, “I feel you.”
“If you ask me, it’s the creaking in the ceiling.”
Yuki’s words scared Prince, who felt guilty.
“No, that’s not it,” Kakeru hurriedly said. “I’ve felt that way since before I came to Aotake. I was just running and didn’t see much of what was around me.”
He still didn’t actually know what he should do; Kakeru still hadn’t figured out what he should be running for, other than speed. “But,” Kakeru started, lifting his face up. “From now on, I will also aim for the Hakone Ekiden seriously.”
 “What!?”
The twins’ room shook with astonishment.
“’From now on?’ What were you doing until now?” Jouji looked like he was about to jump down his throat.
“No, I just thought I would play along with it somehow,” Kakeru said honestly. “I thought everyone would get bored and quit soon anyways. I’m sorry.”
“You can train that much, even though your motivation was so low.” Shindou was deeply impressed.
“I’m not good at anything other than running, after all,” Kakeru said seriously.
Yuki shook his head with a “Good grief,” and a stunned King said, “You really are a weirdo, Kakeru.” (1)
“You’re incredible, Kakeru. You’re so incredible it’s funny.” Jouji stifled his laughter. A bit angrily, Kakeru wondered what was so funny, but then he saw that even Kiyose was nodding and decided not to object.
“I can’t stop reading manga, but I’ll work even harder too,” Prince declared, raising his face.
It wasn’t that there weren’t any ill feelings, but it was the first time that the desire to aim for the same thing had budded equally in all their hearts.
Kiyose, who was watching the scene, called out, “Kakeru.” Still in seiza, Kakeru shifted a bit closer to Kiyose, whose head was resting on the pillow.
“Do you know what’s the best compliment for a long-distance runner?”
“Is it ‘fast’?”
“Nope. It’s ‘strong,’” Kiyose said. “It’s not enough to be fast to finish a long-distance race. The weather, the course, the development of the race, your physical condition, your own state of mind... Runners calmly analyze those various factors and persist in moving their body forward even in difficult situations. What long-distance runners need is strength in the true sense of the word. We run everyday for the honor of being called ‘strong.’”
Kakeru, as well as the other residents, listened intently to what Kiyose was saying.
“As I watched you run these three months, I became more and more convinced,” Kiyose continued. “You have talent and aptitude. That’s why, Kakeru, believe in yourself more. There’s no need to be impatient—it takes time to become strong. You could say that there is no end; just as there are people who jog and do marathons even into old age, long-distance is a sport that is worth tackling for life.”
Kakeru’s passion towards running had always been an ambiguous emotion, making his mind waver unsteadily. But Kiyose’s words skillfully cut through Kakeru’s murky and wavering inner world; they were a light that flashed into his heart and flooded it, illuminating him.
However, Kakeru rebutted, partly due to embarrassment. “But the elderly can’t set new world records.”
“That came out of nowhere,” Nico-chan teased. Kiyose smiled, as if to say there was no helping it.
“I thought that way too. Until I got injured,” Kiyose said gently. “But it’s the older runners who are more likely to be ‘stronger’ than you, Kakeru. That’s what’s profound about long-distance.”
Kiyose’s words were aimed not just at Kakeru, but at everyone present. Perhaps tired, he stopped talking and lowered his eyelids.
“Haiji-san, you can’t sleep here!” Jouji and Jouta shook Kiyose.
“Shut up. You’re dismissed,” Kiyose mumbled.
Everyone quietly took their leave of the twins’ room.
Kakeru was the last to go into the hallway. As he closed the door, he turned around and saw the twins squeezing into another futon from the closet.
What is that strong running Haiji-san talked about? Kakeru was pondering it. He knew it wasn’t about arm strength or leg strength. But, it didn’t seem like he was referring to just mental strength, either.
Kakeru suddenly recalled the snow-covered field he had seen when he was little. When he had got up early and gone to the field in his neighborhood, the snow that had accumulated during the night had completely changed the familiar landscape. Kakeru had run on the white field where no one had left any footprints. He had run as his heart desired in order to draw beautiful patterns. That was his very first memory of thinking that running was fun.
Maybe strength was something beautiful built upon a delicate balance—like the patterns he had drawn in the snow back then.
While thinking that, Kakeru quietly went down the stairs, careful not to make too much noise.
The next day, the skies were clear for the first time in a long while. When Kakeru returned after his early morning jog, Kiyose was feeding Nira in Chikusei-sou’s yard.
“Welcome home,” Kiyose said when he saw him.
“I’m back,” Kakeru responded.
The morning light was shining clearly. It was the beginning of a usual, new day.

Feast of the Holy Family – Sunday after Epiphany - Latin Calendar
Little Litany of the Holy Family
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Hear us. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Help our family.
That we may love poverty, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love humility, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love labor, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love order, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love quiet, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love kindness, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love charity, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love courtesy, Holy Family, hear us. That we may love peace, Holy Family, hear us.
O Lord God Who on earth loved poverty and humility, teach us to live in our families in peace and quiet order and with charity to all. Amen.
by Abbot Gueranger
This Sunday has been chosen by the Church for the celebration of the Feast of the Holy Family; the liturgy of the day, as expressed in the Gospel, harmonizes well with the mystery of this Feast, for it carries us forward to the childhood of our Emmanuel and gives us those wonderful words of His Blessed Mother, we must ever ponder within our hearts: “And He went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them.”
The Feast of the Holy Family is of recent origin. In 1663 Barbara d’Hillehoust founded at Montreal the Association of the Holy Family; this devotion soon spread and in 1893 Pope Leo XIII expressed his approval of a Feast under this title and himself composed part of the Office. The Feast was welcomed by succeeding Pontiffs as an efficacious means for bringing home to the Christian people the example of the Holy Family at Nazareth, and by the restoration of the true spirit of family life, stemming, in some measure, the evils of modern society. These motives led Pope Benedict XV to insert the Feast into the Universal Calendar, and from 1921 it has been fixed for this present Sunday.
The Lessons for the Second Nocturn of Matins are taken from the Apostolic Letter of Pope Leo XIII, Neminem Fugit, of June 14, 1892:
When a merciful God determined to complete the work of human reparation which the world had awaited throughout long ages, He so established and designed the whole, that from its very inception, it would show to the world the sublime pattern of a divinely constituted family. In this all men should see the perfect example of domestic unity, and of all virtue and holiness. Such was the Holy Family of Nazareth, in which before He had shone forth in full light to all nations, the Sun of Justice, Christ Our Lord and Savior, led a hidden life with the Virgin Mary for Mother and most Holy Joseph for foster-father. There is no doubt that all those virtues of ordinary home life, those acts of mutual love, holy behavior and pious practices shone forth in the highest degree in this Holy Family, destined to be a model for all others. Accordingly, the benign dispositions of Providence fashioned that Family so that every individual Christian, whatever his condition or station, by turning his attention to it, could find in it easily, reason and incentive for the exercise of every virtue.
Fathers of families, for example, have in St. Joseph a shining pattern for watchfulness and foresight. Mothers have in the most Holy Virgin Mother of God an extraordinary model of love, of modesty, of submissiveness of mind, and of perfect faith. Children of the family have in Jesus, Who was subject to Joseph and Mary, a divine example of obedience to admire, cultivate and imitate. Those nobly born may learn from a Family of royal blood how to restrain themselves in good fortune, and to retain their dignity in ill. The rich may learn from this family how much less estimable are riches than virtue. If working men and all those sorely harassed by family distresses and meager circumstances would but look to the most holy members of this domestic society, they would find there reason to rejoice rather than to grieve at their lot. In common with the Holy Family they have to work, they have to provide for the daily needs of life. St. Joseph had to work at his trade to earn a living; even the divine hands toiled at the artisan’s profession. Surely then we need not wonder that wise men who were rich, cast their wealth aside willingly, and chose poverty in company with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
For all these reasons, therefore, it was right and proper that devotion to the Holy Family should have been introduced among Catholics and once begun should have grown from day to day. Proof of this lies first in the sodalities instituted under the invocation of the Holy Family; then in the unique honors bestowed upon it; and above all, by the privileges and favors granted to this devotion by Our predecessors to stimulate fervor and piety in its regard. This devotion was held in great honor, even in the seventeenth century. Having been widely propagated through Italy, France and Belgium, it spread through practically the whole of Europe. Passing over the vast tract of the Atlantic Ocean, it was extended in America, throughout Canada, where under favorable circumstances, it flourished. Nothing truly can be more salutary or efficacious for Christian families to meditate upon than the example of the Holy Family, which embraces the perfection and completeness of all domestic virtues. When Jesus, Mary and Joseph are invoked in the home, there They foster charity, there They exert a good influence over conduct, set an example of virtue, and make more bearable the hardships of every life. — To increase devotion to the Holy Family, Pope Leo XIII prescribed that Christian families should be dedicated to It. Pope Benedict XV extended the Mass and Office to the whole Church.
In the Third Nocturn, St. Bernard comments on the Gospel of the day (given below):
“And He was subject to them.” Who? To whom? God to man! God, I say, to Whom the Angels are subject, Whom Principalities and Powers obey, He, indeed, was subject to Mary. Nor to Mary only, but to Joseph because of Mary. Marvel, therefore, at both, and choose whether you will most wonder at the benign condescension of the Son, or the exceedingly great dignity of the Mother. Both are amazing; both miraculous. That God should obey a woman is humility without parallel. That a woman should rule God is sublimity without equal. In praise of virgins, it is sung, that they follow the Lamb whithersoever He goes. But what praise can set forth Her dignity, Who leads Him.
Learn, O man, to obey. Learn, O earth, to be subject. Learn, O dust, to submit. The Evangelist, in speaking of thy Maker says, and He was subject to them. Without any doubt he was subject to Mary and Joseph. Be ashamed, O proud ashes. God humbles Himself, and you—do you exalt yourself? God subjected Himself to men, and do you, longing to dominate men, place yourself above your Creator? Should I, at any time, think such a thing, would that God would deign to answer me as He answered in rebuking His Apostle: “Get behind Me, satan… for thou dost not mind the things of God, but those of men.” (Matt. 16: 23) As often as I desire pre-eminence over men, so often do I strive to go before God. Truly then I savor not the things that are of God. For of Him it was said, and He was subject to them. If, man, you disdain to imitate the example of men, surely it will not be an indignity to you to follow that of your Creator. If, perchance, you cannot follow Him whithersoever He goes, deign at least to follow Him when He humbles Himself for you.
If you are not able to walk along the sublime path of virginity, at least follow God by the very safe way of humility. Should anyone depart from this straight way—even though he be a virgin—he does not, the truth must be told, follow the Lamb whithersoever He goes. The one is not able to ascend to the spotlessness of the Lamb Who is without spot, nor does the other deign to descend to the meekness of the Lamb Who remained dumb, not before His shearers only, but before His murderers. Yet the sinner following in humility chooses a more salutary way than the proud man who follows in virginity, inasmuch as the humble satisfaction cleanses the uncleanness of the first, whereas pride defiles the chastity of the other.
In the Holy Sacrifice, the Introit recalls the joy that must have filled the cave of Bethlehem on that Christmas night; let us again rejoice with Mary and Joseph and sing the praises of the resting-place of the Lord of Hosts:
(Prov. 23) The father of the Just rejoices greatly; let Thy father and Thy mother be joyful, and let her rejoice that bore Thee. (Ps. 83) How lovely are Thy tabernacles, O Lord of Hosts: my soul longs and faints for the courts of the Lord. V. Glory be to the Father…
The Church prays in the Collect that the home life of every Christian family may be sanctified and perfected by the example of that of the Holy Family; this is Her unceasing wish for Her children:
O Lord Jesus Christ, Who by subjecting Thyself to Mary and Joseph didst consecrate family life with wonderful virtues: grant that, by Their joint assistance, we may fashion our lives after the example of Thy Holy Family, and obtain everlasting fellowship with It. Who livest and reignest…
After the Commemorations of the Sunday and of the Octave, there follows a Lesson from the Epistle of St. Paul the Apostle to the Collosians:
Brethren: Put on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, patience. Bear with one another and forgive one another, if anyone has grievance against any other; even as the Lord has forgiven you, so also do you forgive. But above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection. And may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts; unto that peace, indeed, you were called in one body. Show yourselves thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly: in all wisdom teach and admonish one another by psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing in your hearts to God by His grace. Whatever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (c. 3)
If we would attain to charity, the bond of perfection which unites all Christians together in the one great family of God, we must pay heed to those virtues which the Epistle puts before us. We must be full of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty and patience; we must bear with one another and forgive one another, after the example of the Incarnate Word. Then the peace of Christ will dwell not only in our hearts, but in those around us, and our homes will truly become like that of Nazareth, where Jesus, Mary and Joseph were ever singing in Their hearts to God by His grace.
In the Gradual Holy Church again celebrates the praises of the House of the Lord; She proclaims the blessedness of those that obtain lasting fellowship in the heavenly home above; yet in the Alleluia verse She recalls the lowliness of the earthly home of our Emmanuel, which made Him truly a hidden King:
(Ps. 26) One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. V. (Ps. 83) Blessed are they who dwell in Thy house, O Lord; they shall praise Thee forever and ever. Alleluia, alleluia. V. (Isa. 45) Verily Thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel, the Savior. Alleluia.
The Gospel is taken from the Second Chapter of St. Luke:
When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. And after they had fulfilled the days, when they were returning, the Boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and His parents did not know it. But thinking that He was in the caravan, they had come a day’s journey before it occurred to them to look for Him among their relatives and acquaintances. And not finding Him, they returned to Jerusalem in search of Him. And it came to pass after three days, that they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who were listening to Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers. And when they saw Him, they were astonished. And His Mother said to Him, “Son, why hast Thou done so to us? Behold, Thy father and I have been seeking Thee sorrowing.” And He said to them, “How is it that you sought Me? Did you not know I must be about My Father’s business?” And they did not understand the word that He spoke to them. And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them; and His Mother kept all these things carefully in Her Heart. And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace before God and men.
Thus, O Jesus, didst Thou come down from Heaven to teach us. The tender age of Childhood, which Thou didst take upon Thyself, is no hindrance to the ardor of Thy desire that we should know the one and only God, Who made all things, and Thee, His Son, Whom He sent to us. When laid in the Crib, Thou didst instruct the Shepherds by a mere look; when swathed in Thy humble swaddling-clothes, and subjected to the voluntary silence Thou hadst imposed on Thyself, Thou didst reveal to the Magi the light they sought in following the star. When twelve years old, Thou didst explain to the Doctors of Israel the Scriptures which bear testimony to Thee. Thou gradually didst dispel the shadows of the Law by Thy presence and Thy words. In order to fulfill the commands of Thy Heavenly Father, Thou dost not hesitate to occasion sorrow to the Heart of Thy Mother, by thus going in quest of souls that need enlightening. Thy love of man will pierce that tender Heart of Mary with a still sharper sword, when She shall behold Thee hanging on the Cross, and expiring in the midst of cruelest pain. Blessed be Thou, sweet Jesus, in these first Mysteries of Thine Infancy, wherein Thou already showest Thyself devoted to us, and leavest the company of Thy Blessed Mother for that of sinful men, who will one day conspire Thy Death.
Prayer for a Catholic Family
God of goodness and mercy, we commend to thy all-powerful protection our home, our family and all that we possess. Bless us all as thou didst bless the holy family of Nazareth.
O Jesus, our most holy Redeemer, by the love with which thou didst become man in order to save us, by the mercy through which thou didst die for us upon the cross, we entreat thee to bless our home, our family, our household. Preserve us from all evil and from the snares of men; preserve us from lightning and hail and fire, from flood and from the rage of the elements; preserve us from thy wrath, from all hatred and from the evil intentions of our enemies, from plague, famine and war. Let no one of us die without the Holy Sacraments. Bless us, that we may always openly confess our faith which is to sanctify us, that we may never falter in our hope, even amid pain and affliction, that we may ever grow in love for Thee and in charity toward our neighbor.
O Jesus, bless us, protect us.
O Mary, Mother of grace and mercy, bless us, protect us against the evil spirit; lead us by the hand through this vale of tears; reconcile us with thy divine Son; commend us to Him, that we may be made worthy of his promises.
Saint Joseph, reputed father of our Saviour, guardian of his most holy Mother, head of the holy family, intercede for us, bless and protect our home always.
Saint Michael, defend us against all the wicked wiles of hell.
Saint Gabriel, obtain for us that we may understand the holy will of God.
Saint Raphael, preserve us from ill health and all danger to life.
Holy Guardian Angels, keep us day and night in the way to salvation.
Holy Patrons, pray for us before the throne of God.
Bless this house, Thou, God our Father, who didst create us; Thou, divine Son, who didst suffer for us on the cross; Thou, Holy Spirit, who didst sanctify us in baptism. May God, in his three Divine Persons, preserve our body, purify our soul, direct our heart, and lead us to life everlasting.
Glory be to the Father, glory be to the Son, glory be to the Holy Ghost. Amen.

May 2003
Y/N POV
When Sam shows me his acceptance letter, I burst into tears. A mixture of happiness and sadness consume me. I know it’s his dream, it’s his chance to get away from his dad, but a part of me selfishly wants him to stay longer. I get my acceptance into the university thirty minutes away the next day, mom and dad insisting it’s the right one for me. I still plan on taking the following year off, but I have yet to inform them of my plan.
The day before graduation, I’m on the floor of the bathroom for the fourth morning in a row, emptying the contents of my stomach. I chalk it up to nerves, Sam leaving in less than a week, finals and graduation. I feel a cold towel on the back of my neck, and turn my head to see mom behind me, trying her best to soothe me as I fight the urge to vomit again.
“Honey,” she says, rubbing my back, “maybe we should take you to the doctor?”
“Mom,” I offer weakly, knowing all the color has drained from my face. “I’m fine. I think it’s just a stomach bug. I don’t even have a fever.”
“Either way, you’re staying home today, I’m gonna call the school.”
“Mom,” I try to protest, dry heaving over the toilet. “It’s the last day, no one’s gonna believe that I’m sick.”
“It doesn’t matter, Y/N. It’s only a half-day, your teachers will understand. The ceremony is tomorrow, and you need to keep up your strength, your father and I would hate it if you couldn’t go.”
I try to stop her, but she’s already out the door, and I can hear the muffled sounds of her calling the school. I gather myself and head back to my bedroom. I crawl into my bed, pulling the covers over my head and sleep for hours. I wake up late in the afternoon, feeling slightly better. My eyes focus on the framed photo on my bedside table; a present Sam had given me weeks earlier on what he called our six-month anniversary. I smile, thinking about how he sheepishly explained that it had been six-months since we had met. It was from one of our first dates, nearly ruined when I got my period. It suddenly dawns on me. Shit.
I hop out of bed, making my way to the desk where my day planner sits. I frantically open it to the beginning of the month, looking for the subtle stars that I would have put on the pages, nothing. I go back another month scanning the pages desperately, assignments, and the occasional date with Sam being the only thing written on them.
“Has it been since March?” I whisper to myself as I count the weeks. “You cannot be this girl, Y/N. Ten Weeks.” I cover my face with my hands, thinking back. Spring Break. “Shit.”
“Y/N? Everything okay?” Mom calls from outside my room, perhaps I’m not being as quiet as I thought. “You feeling any better?”
“Yeah, mom, I just…” I open the door to come face to face with her; concern etched on her face. “I think I’m gonna go for a walk, get some fresh air.”
“Would you like me to go with you?”
“No, I won't be gone long,” I say, grabbing my wallet as discreetly as I can, heading downstairs and out the front door. I make my way to the drug store, praying that I’m wrong, we’d been so careful. The chime of a bell pulls me out of my head as I enter the store. I feel a sense of relief as I look around, noticing that the store’s empty besides the pharmacist behind the counter. He’s new to Weldon, and I rejoice knowing he won’t recognize me, smiling at me as I walk past him.
I stand in front of the row of tests, I hear the chime again, bringing my attention to the door, and I begin to panic as I recognize one of my classmates. I grab a test and make my way to the counter, quickly paying. I rush home, run into my bathroom, and tear the box open, carefully reading the instructions. I slip back into my room, quietly shutting the door behind me, and sit on my bed watching as my clock slowly passes the time. I take a deep breath as I compare the stick to the box. Positive. Crap, crap, crap. I throw the box and instructions away, keeping the test, willing it with all my might to change. If anything, the pink plus becomes more dominant, taunting me.
I stare at the test in my hands, unsure of what my next move should be. How am I gonna tell Sam? What about Stanford? I’m unable to stop the tears from flowing.
“Honey, are you sure you’re okay?” I hear mom’s voice on the other side of the door. “Maybe you shouldn’t go out, you should-” she opens the door just enough to walk in. She stops in front of me, and I can hear the concern laced in her voice. “What’s wrong?” I know I look a mess, face blotched, and eyes puffy. I grip the test tighter in my hands and shake my head. “Y/N, whatever it is, you can tell me.”
“You’ll hate me,” I whisper, not looking up. “I can’t-”
“Y/N, I could never hate you.” She closes the door behind her. “You’re my daughter, and I love you.”
I open my hands slowly, revealing the test to her. It takes her a moment as she takes a step closer, taking it out of my hands.
“Oh, Y/N,” she whispers, handing it back to me. "How— how did this happen?"
"I'm sorry.” I choke out through sobs, “We didn’t mean to. I— I—”
“Shh..” she sits down next to me and wraps her arms around me, placing a kiss on my head; I’m prepared for yelling, not this. She holds me against her as sobs leave me uncontrollably. “Sam?”
"I thought we were careful. It-It was an accident."
"What was an accident?" Dad says as he walks by my room, "Sarah, Y/N?” He looks between us. I open my mouth to speak, but all that comes out is another sob. His eyebrows furrow at the sight in front of him. “What's going on? What's wrong?"
"Rob, you should sit," I feel the bed dip for a moment as mom steps away from me, and guides dad to a chair in the corner of my room. She gestures to me to move towards the end of my bed, so we’re both facing him. "I want you to stay calm, okay?" He nods reluctantly. "Don't jump to any conclusions, Y/N is going to need you," Dad’s jaw clenches and his breathing becomes heavier as he prepares himself for what mom is about to tell him. “Y/N is..” mom’s own voice is shaky, she takes a deep breath, “pregnant."
All the worry and confusion on dad’s face immediately fades away. His face grows red, his brow furrows, and his breathing becomes rapid. He stands up quickly, pacing the floor of my bedroom. He’s silent as I continue to cry, my shame and embarrassment consuming me.
“Sam,” he rasps, unable to look at me. “He- he took advantage of you.” I can see a vein throbbing in his neck,
“Rob. Y/N’s old enough-”
“That boy is over 18, Y/N is a minor… I should go down to the sheriff’s office right now and—"
“Daddy, no!” I cry, trying to reason with him, “Sam, he didn’t- he didn't do anything to me. It’s not his fault.”
“Like hell, it isn’t!” He continues pacing in front of me, mom grabs at his shoulder, trying to get him to sit back down. “He’s clearly been conditioning you ever since the attack. He made sure that you thought he was your savior so that you would do anything for him."
"Rob, calm down, this isn't good for Y/N, what’s done is done, and there’s nothing we can do about it. Y/N and Sam, they’ll have to deal with the consequences."
"No, Sarah. We told her that boy was bad news. Now Y/N's in trouble." He turns to face me. "You aren’t having that baby,” he says sternly.
"Dad,” I barely muster, “you can’t. Please.”
“Rob, let’s talk about this.” Mom tries to argue, “maybe we should-”
“You’re not having it.” He points at me, “and you’re not going to see that boy again." Dad leaves my room; mom quickly follows him.
For the rest of the night, I hear muffled arguing. I fall asleep, still clutching the test in my hands. When I wake up in the morning, dad doesn’t speak or even look at me. As I sit down at the table, he immediately leaves, and I want to break down. Mom offers a sad smile, eyes puffy, and red. She runs her hand down my back, leaning forward to press a kiss to my forehead. “We’ll get through this, Y/N.”
When we arrive at the school the next day, I search the hallways for Sam. I find him standing outside the auditorium watching as parents file in. 'You can do this, Y/N.' I'm about to touch his shoulder when he turns around, widely smiling when he sees me standing behind him. He wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug.
"Missed you yesterday," he says, placing a kiss on my cheek. "Your mom said you were sick." My whole body stiffens, and I take a shuddering breath. He pulls away from me slightly, noticing my blotchy face, and the tears I'm trying to fight. "Y/N/N, what's wrong?" I shake my head and look down at the floor, not ready to say the words. “You're scaring me. It can't be that bad, talk to me, baby."
"It is that bad," I whisper, bringing my eyes up to meet his face. “I- I thought it was stress, or a bug or something. Then I realized, it’s been weeks.”
“Y/N/N.” His eyes search my face, trying to make sense of what I’m telling him. “Weeks since what? What are you trying to say?”
A shattered exhale leaves me, “I’m pregnant.”
All the color drains his face, "No, you can’t be,” he shakes his head. “We always use protection."
“Spring Break?” I mutter, choking back the lump in my throat, using all my might to not break down in front of him.
“That was over two months ago.” Sam paces in front of me, stopping when he catches sight of me. “You’re sure?”
I chew on my bottom lip, nodding my head.
"Why didn't you say something sooner?" he asks, running his hands through his hair, apparent concern lacing his voice. “I would have been there with you.”
"’M sorry,” my voice cracks, “I didn’t know. This is my fault. I should’ve-”
"No, Y/N/N, this is not on you. It takes two, and I should’ve—we both should have been more careful," he says, pulling me back into a hug, holding me as I sob into his chest. We stay like that for a few minutes; I can hear him sniffling and feel his hands leave me for a moment to wipe his eyes. He lets me calm down before speaking again. "What do you want to do?"
"Dad wants me to get rid of it," I say against him.
"Your dad doesn’t get to make that decision,” he says firmly. “What do you want, Y/N/N?"
"I don’t know.” I was still processing everything. I haven’t even thought about what I’m going to do. Neither mom nor dad asked me what I wanted. All I can think about are our futures, how badly we both want to get away from our families. Now, it doesn’t seem like a possibility. I can’t get rid of the baby; it’s Sam and me.”I want to have it," I pull away, my eyes fixated on the ground, “but if you don’t—"
He stops me, softly cupping my face and guiding it up until our eyes meet and then smiles warmly. “Y/N/N, I love you so much, and this,” he splays a hand gently over my stomach, "is our baby. If you want to keep it, Y/N/N, I'm here."
"What about Stanford?" I ask softly, it is his dream, and as much as I don’t want him gone, I don’t want him to feel forced into staying.”You’ve worked so hard.”
“Come with me,” he says, taking my hands in his. “You, me, and the baby. We’ll go to California; it’ll be the fresh start we’ve both always wanted.” A glimmer of hope wells up inside me, and I smile. “Away from our parents, everyone who knows us, we can do whatever we want.”
“Don’t say something you don’t mean.”
“I mean it, more than anything. I love you, no matter what. I think we can do this, together, I’ll figure everything else out. Take a few days, I still have to tell my dad about Stanford, and I’ll tell him about the baby too.” I can’t believe what he’s saying. “I’m leaving on Monday, and I want you to come with me.”
“You don’t have to do this, Sam,” I look back down at the ground, “this can be your out.” John’s words from months ago replay in my head. “I’m just some girl from a town you were working a case. I was never gonna leave this place. You can tell me the truth. If you don’t ever want to see me again, I’ll understand. I don’t want you to think I’m trying to trap you.”
I love you. And I’m gonna love our baby so much. Monday, at 7 a.m., I’ll be waiting for you.”

Sam POV
Sunday comes quicker than I expect it to. Dad wants to leave the night of graduation, just like he threatened, but I convince him to wait out the weekend. He and Dean had been working back-to-back hunts for the last month, and though neither of them will ever admit it, they’re exhausted. I already quit my job at the grocery store and I use the little money I have saved to buy a ring from the pawn shop—a simple gold band with a small square-cut diamond. One day I’ll get Y/N/N the ring she deserves. With Dean in town, I know I can easily get into the bars and earn some extra cash for the trip. Dean’s always been the better player, but I need to get as much as I can, for Y/N/N and the baby.
I should have proposed the moment she told me about the baby, but it would have seemed forced. I don’t want her to think that the only reason I want to marry her is that she is pregnant. I want her with me; I want her to be my family.
There is only one hitch in my plan; Y/N/N’s parents. At seventeen, we would still need her parents’ consent to be married. Not only will I need their permission, but I also need their blessing. ‘They’re very old-fashioned.’ Y/N’s voice rings in my ear. They never quite warmed up to me, only tolerating my presence when necessary. That will have to change now; I’m the father of their grandchild, I’m going to marry their daughter.
Dean and dad are out, so I pull out a button-down from the back of my closet. I haven’t worn it since Valentine’s Day, but it’s the nicest piece of clothing that I own. I lift my pillow, inspecting the ring once more before putting it in my pocket. I pull up to Y/N/N’s house and notice a dim light coming from her window. I take a brief moment, calming myself before walking up to her front door. I knock and pace in front of the door, reminding myself to breathe. I hear grunts on the other side before the door swings open.
“You’ve got some nerve showing up here, Sam,” Y/N/N’s father appears in front of me.
“Sir, I want to talk to you about Y/N/N,” I say, trying to keep myself calm as I see the growing anger on his face.
“You took advantage of Y/N, and now she’s in trouble.”
“I didn’t-” I take another deep breath. He can’t possibly believe that; I have to make him understand. “I love Y/N/N, and I take full responsibility for what happened. Y/N/N and I-"
“There is no you and Y/N,” he snaps. “You stay away from my daughter."
"I’m sorry, Mr. Y/L/N, but I can’t do that. Y/N/N's carrying my baby, and I want to be with her, forever." I scramble for the ring in my pocket. I open the box to show it to him. “I want to do the right thing, sir, I want to marry her.”
"That’s not going to happen, Sam," he says, dismissing the ring and stepping out from the doorway and onto the porch. "You ruined Y/N's life, and she wants nothing more to do with you. She’s spent the last three days broken up over everything, Everything she’s worked so hard for, it’s all gone down the drain, thanks to your foolish behavior. She’s asked her mother to make her an appointment at the women’s clinic, and then this will all be over. You can go back to your own life, and Y/N can go back to the plan we made. There will be no baby.”
“No,” I whisper, “She said… she can’t.” She said she wanted to keep it, what changed? “Please, Mr. Y/L/N, let me talk to her.”
"She can, and she’s going to. You will not be talking to her anytime soon. Don’t you think I know what you’ve been up to? The only reason her mother and I allowed you two to date was because Y/N begged us. She told us you were a good person, and I’ll admit you had me fooled. I know you've been conditioning her ever since the attack, making her reliant on you. You’re lucky I haven’t gotten the sheriff to arrest you, stay away from our family.”
"Sir, please. I- I have never done anything to hurt your daughter. Please, can I have five minutes with her?" I’m desperate. I need to talk to her. I need her to know that I’m here.
“No. Y/N has already made her decision, and we will not allow you to talk her out of it. She doesn’t want to see you again.”
“Please, leave our family alone,” Y/N’s mother says, appearing behind her husband. “Haven’t you done enough damage? We all want what’s best for Y/N; as soon as all this is over, we’re moving. This is too much for her.”
“Please, I love your daughter. I want to marry her, that’s why I’m here.” I show the ring to her mother. “To ask for your blessing and your permission, she and I can do this. Please, just let me see her,” I beg them. “Please.”
“She’s resting.” Her father sighs, taking the ring from his wife’s hands and handing it back to me. “Sam, this was a difficult decision for Y/N, and she didn’t come to it lightly. You should go.”
I leave the house, defeated. I know she wouldn’t have made that decision without me. If it’s what she wants, really wants, then I can understand, but I still want her with me, baby or no baby. I have to hope that she’ll show up tomorrow morning. She has to.
Pulling back into the motel parking lot, I spot dad’s truck, but the Impala is nowhere to be found. A part of me is happy that Dean isn’t here; there’s no way I can tell both dad and Dean about Stanford and the baby. It’s going to be hard enough to tell dad about Stanford, but having to also tell him about Y/N/N, and admitting he was right about us, that scares the crap out of me. He had made it clear that he thought she was too young, and that we were getting too serious, too fast.
The ring box sits in the center of the bench; I can’t bring it back inside, not until I talk to dad. I take a couple of deep breaths, calming myself before exiting the car. Maybe once he learns I got a full-ride, he’ll understand, it’s only four years. I pull my key out, slowly unlocking the door as I prepare myself for whatever may happen next.
“Hey, Sam,” Dad’s walking between the dresser and the spare bed, packing his duffle bag, whistling as he takes in my appearance. “A little dressed up for hustling, don’t you think?” He laughs as my cheeks burn. “How’d it go? Make any money? Swindle some college kid out of his trust fund? Or maybe you got some old bat to leave you her fortune, set us up for life?”
I laugh uneasily, setting my keys and phone down, dreading what I’m about to tell him. I rarely see him in a mood like this, I huff, struggling to find my words.
“C’mon, Sam, you know I’m just fuckin’ with you.” He zips the bag up and sets it on the floor. “You say good-bye to Y/N yet? Don’t drag it out; it'll only make things worse.”
“I—”
“It’s for the best Sam. Maybe in a few years, after we finish the job, you can come back and see her again. She’ll probably be married, have a gaggle of kids running around.” My heart stops beating at the mention of kids. I know what he’s doing; he wants me to be ready for her to move on, he still thinks I’m going with him and Dean. “She’ll probably just get her M.R.S. degree while at college.”
“Dad,” I stop him. “I- I have to tell you something. Why don’t you sit?”
“Oh-kay.” He’s confused but complies, sitting on the edge of the bed, “What’s going on, Sam?”
I pace in front of him. ‘Stanford first. Then Y/N and the baby.’ I know he isn’t going to like anything I’m about to tell him. I look down at the dark green carpet of the room, never having paid attention to it before. I look back to dad, concern, and impatience etched on his face. I’m leaving in the morning; I can’t have them both in the dark, tell him.
“IwasacceptedintoStanford,” I blurt out. He furrows his brow, and I realize he didn’t understand me. I take a deep breath, preparing myself to say it again, this time more deliberately. “I was accepted into Stanford, full-ride,” I say clearly, “and I’m going. There’s early admission, and I have to be there in a few weeks.”
“S-Stanford?” He says in disbelief, a small smile forms before he shakes it off, hardening his face. “Sam, we talked about this. There’s no reason for you to go to college. Your brother and me, we need you.”
“It’s what I want, dad,” I say calmly. “Y/N/N and I-”
“Y/N,” he sighs, “of course it’s about her,” he groans, burying his face in his hands. He is silent, and I can see his shoulders tense and nostrils flare before he’s off the bed, pacing in front of me. "Y/N is a minor, Sam. You can't just up and take her with you to California. You do know what happens when you take a minor across state lines without their parent’s permission, don’t you? It’s called kidnapping. And I’m sure her parents would have no issue pressing charges against you. We've all tolerated your little romance,” he huffs, “but it's time to move on." I knew what that tone meant, no room for argument. "She's a nice girl and all, but she isn't cut out for the life we lead, you know that. You belong with your brother and me, and she belongs here."
“She's coming with me,” I state, trying to keep my voice steady. I wanted to ease into this subject, but I can see from just this moment that there’s no easy way to do this. "Her and the baby.”
He looks like I just hit him with a ton of bricks.
“Jesus Fucking Christ, Sam! She’s pregnant?” Dad roars, “she’s knocked up, and what? Goddammit, son, I told you. I told you to be careful, I told you to end it with her, and now you think you are going to ride off into the sunset? You’re going to take her away with you, from the only place she’s ever lived? She’s trying to trap you here, Sam, don’t you see that?"
He paces back and forth in front of me, his anger rolling off him in waves. I try to stay calm; he’s shocked and pissed. "You barely even know the girl. She could be sleeping around with half the boys in your class. You’re just gonna believe her when she tells you that kid is yours? No, Sam, I’m not gonna let you ruin your life just cause some little slut-"
All I see is red. I have dad on the floor before either of us realizes it’s happening. I’m holding him down as my fist pulls back and connects with his jaw.
“Don’t you talk about her that way!” I yell as my fist comes down again. I can already see a bruise forming at the base of his jaw, and I can feel my knuckles getting scrapped with every hit. "It's my baby!"
He doesn’t fight back at first, letting me get in a few more hits before his hand connects with my cheekbone. He flips us over, easily holding me down. He keeps me pinned there as I thrash against him. His palm meets my face again, and he loosens his grip on me. I pull my hand back, going for the final hit. I don’t realize that he’s trying to calm me down.
“Sam, you can’t let this girl ruin your life, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen.”
I hear the door open, and dad’s distracted as I land another blow. Dean pulls dad off of me, as I try to go in again. “What the fuck is going on?” He inspects dad as I get up, feeling the bruise forming on my cheek. Dean steps away from dad, and I go charging in again.
“That’s enough!” Dean shouts, stepping between the two of us. “Sammy, back off.” He looks back at dad, who’s wiping the blood away from his nose. Dean walks me away from dad, fights between us rarely got physical, and Dean knows that. Him needing to pull us off of each other could only mean something serious. “Talk to me, man, what’s going on?”
“Nothin’,” I pant. Dad lets out a sarcastic laugh. I move towards him again, jabbing the air as I try to close the space between us. Dean is quick to push me back, “Don’t talk about her.”
“You’re a selfish son of a bitch; you know that? Gonna walk away from your brother and me?” Dad spits out. “For what? Some girl? College?”
“Sam? What is he talking about?” Dean looks at me, questioningly.
“I was accepted into Stanford. And I’m going. I’m leaving first thing in the morning.”
“Wait, tomorrow?” Dean steps back, and his eyes go wide at my confession. “Sammy, you can’t. We need you.”
“I’m going, Dean, it's something I have to do. If I stay here any longer-”
“Sammy…” Dean runs his hands over his face, guiding me towards the door. “Let’s take a drive before you say something you’ll regret.”
“Fine,” I say, picking up my keys and exiting the room. Dean’s close behind me, entering the car as I turn the engine over.
“Something else you want to tell me, Sammy?” He asks, picking up the box. “Something to do with Y/N?”
“No,” I snap, grabbing it out of his hands and placing it in the glove box. He opens his mouth to speak again, “I mean it, Dean. Drop it.”

Y/N POV
I gather my things quietly, packing as much as I can into a large duffle bag. I write out a note and leave it on my desk, hoping that Sam and I will be long gone by the time mom or dad find it. They are making plans to send me away soon, sending me off to live in the middle of nowhere until the baby’s born, and I can put it up for adoption. I called Jana last night, asking her to take me to the motel, I know I can trust her to keep my request a secret.
I quietly make my way down the stairs and out the front door. Jana’s already at the corner where our streets intersect, warmly smiling as I get into her car, quietly sipping on a coffee. The smell makes my stomach turn, and I use every ounce of will-power I have to not vomit in her car. We sit in a comfortable silence as she drives towards the motel. I take in the town one final time, knowing I very well may never come back here. She drops me off in the parking lot and insists on staying until she sees Sam, but I assure her I’m okay.
I walk up to the door, knocking on it softly—grumbling coming from the other side. John answers the door, a look of surprise on his face when he realizes it’s me.
“Mr. Winchester," I say, looking around the room, noticing the alarm clock next to Sam’s bed, 6:15. "Is Sam here?"
John takes a deep breath, seemingly turning something over in his mind. He looks down at the bag at my feet.
“I’m sorry, darlin’, Sam’s gone," he says, pointing to where Sam usually parks his car. "He left last night."
“W-what?” I look into the room. “He said--” John smiles sympathetically at me. “He’s coming back, right?” I asked, hopefully. John shakes his head. “Can I call him? It’s important.”
“Left his phone here,” he says, gesturing to the side table. “Said he didn’t want to be bothered anymore.”
“But what about...?” I move my hands to my stomach, John’s eyes follow, and he lets out a sigh.
“He told me about the baby,” he says looking where my hands were gently laying. “I hate to be the one to tell you this Y/N, but he decided he wants nothing to do with it. Said it’s too much.” He takes another long breath as if what he’s about to say is going to hurt him. “Said he,” John closes his eyes as the words come out of his mouth, "doesn’t want to be saddled down with a kid.”
"What?" I can’t believe what I'm hearing. "Why would he say that?"
"I don’t know, darlin’. I told him if that’s how he felt, then he should talk with you.” He brings his hand up to his chin, and I notice a small bruise forming there. He rubs the scruff forming on his face, “He thinks that you got pregnant on purpose so you could trap him into staying here. ”
“I- I wasn’t, I’m not.” I shake my head. "I'm going to have the baby," I blurt out. “My parents wanted me to- to have an abortion, but I told them I couldn't." I take a long breath, trying to keep myself calm. "They want me to give it away, but- I don’t know, I want to keep it. It’s my baby.”
“You do whatever you think is right, Y/N. And if I hear from Sam, I’ll tell him what you’ve told me. Here,” he says, grabbing a notepad off the table and writing a number down. “You need anything, you call me, okay?”
“Thank you, Mr. Winchester,” I say, folding the paper gently and sticking it into the pocket of my bag, letting the tears I'd been holding back fall freely.
“You can call me John, Y/N, we’re family now.” He smiles warmly. “Let me take you home, darlin’.”
We don’t speak on the drive to my house; the only sound filling the air is my sniffs. John parks in front of my house, and gets out to come around and help me exit the truck. He stands there for a moment, before gently pulling me into a hug, reminding me to call him if I ever need anything. I smile and nod, wiping the tears away as I turn away from him, walking towards my home. I look back once more, and he gives me a smile and a wink. My parents are out the front door before I’ve made it halfway there. Mom keeps her arms around me as dad charges towards John’s truck.
“You keep your son away from my daughter. If you don’t, I’ll-”
“You’ll what?” John says, stepping away from the truck. “I’d choose your next words wisely.” Dad’s body stiffens as John approaches him, eyes shifting to me, then back to dad. “I know about Y/N’s condition, and I am no happier about it than you are.” It's the last thing I hear before mom ushers me inside. I watch from the living room window as John and dad continue talking for several minutes. As soon as he’s gone, mom and dad walk me towards their car, confirming what I already know; they’re sending me away.
Tumblr media
Sam POV
We’ve been out for hours, Dean spending most of the time trying to get me to tell him what was going on between dad and me. He already knows that it involves Y/N/N, guessing that she was trying to get me to stay. “A-As long as you didn’t knock her up. Last thing any of us needs is a baby showing up on our doorstep.” I nearly choke on my beer.
“But you always wrapped it, right, Sammy?” he laughs, taking another shot. I nod hesitantly. “Then you got nothin’ to worry ‘bout.”
“Yeah.” A part of me wants to tell him, Dean’s the only one I know I can trust to help us through this, make dad understand. But as he finishes off his beer gesturing at the bartender for another, speech becoming more slurred, I know I can’t tell him, not like this. He’s pissed off enough at the thought of me leaving; I can’t disappoint him further.
“Stanford, huh?” He throws back another shot. I know he’s trying to cover the bitterness in his voice when he grumbles, “Dad’s never gonna let you go.”
“He can’t stop me; I’m nineteen. I’m not like you, Dean, I want to be more than just a hunter.”
“You’re just gonna go off, knowing what’s out there and not do anything about it?” Dean accuses, tossing back another shot of amber liquid. “Live some college-boy fantasy life? Join a frat?” He’s becoming more belligerent. “You should’ve dumped Y/N weeks ago. She won’t be able to handle the long-distance.” Dean brings the brown bottle to his lips. “Can’t let some chick stop us from what we do best.” Some chick. I want to punch him in his face. “They always fall hard, Winchester’s have a-always had a-way with the ladies.”
“Whatever you say, Dean.” He’s drunk and probably won’t remember any of this later. “Let’s go,” I say, pulling him off the barstool, and he nearly takes us both down. I walk him out of the bar, putting him in the back seat of my car so that he can sleep it off. I settle into the front seat, cautiously reach into the glove box, and pull out the ring. She’ll be there. She loves you. I repeat it over and over until sleep consumes me.
A rapping on my window pulls me out of my deep sleep, a security guard telling me to move along. Pulling out of the bar’s parking lot, I notice the time, 6:30. Shit, I need to hurry, I told Y/N to meet me at 7:00. Dean grumbles in the back seat as I pull into the motel’s lot and shut the car off. I’m already at the door to our room by the time he stumbles out of the back, but before I can stick the key in the lock dad swings the door open. Dad rolls his eyes as Dean struggles to stand upright.
“Dean, why don’t you go take a shower and sober up? We’re leaving in an hour,” he snaps, taking in our appearance. Dean mumbles in response as he pushes past me. Dad closes the door behind me and inhales deeply. I open my mouth to speak, but he raises his hand to stop me. When we hear the shower running, he turns to me, rubbing his face.
“Sam,” his eyes meet mine, “I know we both said some things last night.” I walk past him, not acknowledging him. “But you can’t just walk away. You can’t walk away from your brother and me. We need you, Sam.”
I consider his words and then grab my bag off the floor. “I’m going, and you can’t stop me.” I walk to the door, “Y/N/N will be here soon, and we’re leaving, together.”
“Y/N’s not going anywhere with you, Sam,” he says as I reach for the doorknob. “She called after you left, she and her parents agreed that the best decision for everyone would be termination. She doesn't want you around anymore. She wants you to stay away so that you both can move on with your lives.”
“No!” I shout, turning back to face him, I can feel the heat pooling in my face. “She wouldn’t do that; she loves me. What did you say to her?” I’m only inches away from him and can see the discoloration in his face from our previous fight. He continues to stare at me, face devoid of emotion. As I wait for him to answer, my anger gets the better of me, and my hand goes through the wall. “I know you said something,” I accuse him. “What did you say to her?”
“The only thing I told her,” he sighs, “is that you would support any decision she made.” My vision is hazy as I hit the floor, sobs leave my body, and I can’t breathe. "I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear, and I'm sorry.”
He pulls me into a hug, something that he hadn’t done in years, and lets me sob against him. “Y/N wants to be able to forget any of this ever happened, and I think you should too,” he says, trying his best to be comforting. I didn’t know how long I had been crying when dad finally spoke again. "I found us a case in Mississippi, and if we leave in the next hour, we can get there before dark.”
I pull away from him. Of course, the next thing he would bring up is a case. I’d just lost my first real love, and all he can think about is a case.
“No,” I mumble, wiping the tears away from my eyes.
“Care to speak up, Sam?” Anger replaces the calmness that filled his voice moments ago.
“I said, no.” Rolling my shoulders, I stand to my full height. “I told you last night that I’m leaving for California today. With or without Y/N/N, I'm done hunting.”
“You really are a stubborn son of a bitch. You’re gonna just leave your brother and me?” I don’t respond. "Just like that, huh? You get accepted into some fancy college, and now you're too good for us? Is that it? You'll never have a normal life, Sam. Whatever you do, you're going to put anyone you care about in the line of fire. You think you can handle that?” He scrubs a hand down his face. “Goddammit, son, think about your brother, you're just gonna walk outta here without a word to him? You think Y/N wants to have a kid with someone who has no respect for their family?"
"You don't know a fucking thing about me and Y/N/N.” I get into his face, “I love her. I want to marry her. I'm going to convince her to keep the baby."
"If you really care about her, you'll respect her wishes.” Dad lowers his voice when he hears the shower turn off. “She wants you to stay away, wants nothing more to do with you, and you will not manipulate that young girl into keeping a baby she clearly doesn't want just because you think you do.” Dean emerges, and dad pauses for a moment. “Let her move on with her life, son, and then you can too, with your brother and me. In a couple of months, you'll forget all about her."
“I’m done,” I huff, reaching for my bag.
“Sammy,” Dean pleads, “C’mon man, we talked about this, Y/N will understand.”
"You can’t control me anymore, dad,” I say bitterly, facing him once more. “I’m not going to be your obedient little soldier anymore. I fucking hate you. You robbed Dean of his childhood, I never had a chance, and now, when I’ve got the opportunity to start over, you think I’m going to pass it up, for you? I would’ve—for Y/N/N, but never ever would I do it for you,” I reach for the door. “All I ever wanted was to be normal. You won’t stop me this time.”
“You walk out that door, don’t you ever come back, you hear me? Ever.”
I look at Dean a final time; I can see his eyes glistening, his jaw clenches as I turn the doorknob. ‘I’m sorry.’ I open the door, taking a shuddering breath as I do the only thing I can; leave.

Joshua 9:3-10:43, Luke 16:19-17:10, Psalms 83:1-18, Proverbs 13:4
Today is the 14th day of April welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I'm Brian it is wonderful to be here with you today as we continue our journey forward into the beautiful springtime. Of course, I know we are all over the world. So, those of you in the southern…southern hemisphere are experiencing autumn coming on. How weird is that? But whether it is a springtime fire or a autumn…an autumn fire it's a Global Campfire that we are around and we can come around it no matter where we are. And, so, let's dive in and take the next step forward. We’re in the book of Joshua in the Old Testament. There have been two cities in the promised land that have been conquered. The rest of the land is not conquered. The people of Israel are in the land and everyone that is there is freaking out. And we left the story yesterday with the kings of the region trying to form an alliance and band together all of their armies to come against Israel and…yeah…push them back out of the land. So, we’re reading from the New English Translation this week. Joshua chapter 9 verse 3 through 10 verse 43.
Commentary:
Okay. So, as we pass through the middle of our work week, we could talk about our work habits. Straight out of the Proverbs today, “the appetite of the sluggard craves but gets nothing.” So, a sluggard is…is…is laziness, the kind of unmotivated, right? Kind of like I just can’t get myself going, I’m just gonna sit here and watch some more TV or whatever, can't really get it going. So, that person still craves accomplishment or achievement or whatever. A person that has a craving to see something achieved or that they would like to do. Like you can be a sluggard and still be a dreamer, but the dream won't be achieved. You can crave by the appetite of the sluggard craves but gets nothing. “The desire”, this is how the proverb ends, “the desire of the diligent will be abundantly satisfied.” In other words, the one who this craving, this desire to achieve or to accomplish or to do something, if they will be diligent step-by-step day by day, they will be abundantly satisfied. I could say what we’re doing here moving through the Scriptures is a is a good example of that. If we show up every day, day by day step-by-step and we are diligent we will achieve what we set out to do, which was move through a year of life together in the Scriptures as a community. If we’re diligent we will be abundantly satisfied in achieving that goal. Or we can be like many who have a craving, a desire to read the Bible, to see what actually is in the Bible, what it actually says, but don't really get past a couple of days in this area. Then the appetite of the sluggard craves but gets nothing. So, what can we say then? We can say that you can desire or crave all you like. If you're not willing to motivate yourself and be diligent it will never be anything but a craving or a desire. But if you are willing to be diligent you will be abundantly satisfied.
Prayer:
Father we take that to heart. It goes to our motives. It goes to our motivation and sometimes we have to take control over that. Sometimes we have to tell ourselves using self-discipline that You are getting up off the couch right now and You are going to be diligent in taking the next step forward toward what it is You desire. Help our desires to line up with Your will for our lives and help us Holy Spirit to be motivated, that we not be weary in well doing, but that we not be a sluggard when we need to be doing. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
Hi Brian, hi DAB family this is Emily in Seattle I haven't touched back in a while, but I have a prayer request. And I'm usually pretty shy about needing those but I've got one now. My dad is 94 God love him and he's not doing too good. So, if you could pray for him, I'd appreciate it. Then pray for my brother Mike, I've mentioned him before. He's pretty sad because he's not close to Jesus like we are. And he's pretty sad because he thinks when someone dies that they end up __. I think everyone in my family’s saved but it's just me and my husband who are close to Jesus. And, so, that's kind of a bummer but pray for everlasting life for my family, salvation for those who don't have salvation yet and that this will be a blessing and not a curse. And I guess that's it. I'm losing it here. So, __ my mom Roberta, my dad Charlie, my brother Mike, and me of course too. Praise God. Bye.
Hi __ this is __Selena I’ve been recently been all over the Prayer Wall and I'm going to continue to be all over the Prayer Wall. I'm praying for you guys and just lifting you all up to the Lord. In my case my boyfriend left me for another woman, and I've just been going through it. But in all of that the Lord has completely freed me of sin. It's just a really hard time. But I am sleeping at night. There's one positive and I’m learning about laying it down for the Lord, laying my sorrows down. So, if I could just please have prayer just for joy, for quick healing. I just want to be back to normal but in God's time. I thank you all and I love you all very much. I'm always praying every day. I put down my social media I put down my Xbox I put down…I’m throwing away the wolves and just taking God and you and I want to hear all of your prayers, requests. In…in your sorrow please know I am behind the scenes fighting for you in the name of God. I love you guys. Bye.
Yes…I know a boy…I don't really know him. His name is Titus, and he is dying and he’s 7 and I would like to pray for him. Dear Jesus, __ I pray that you will make it not so scary to Titus that he's dying and make his family not so sad. And in Your name. Amen.
James the Teacher in LA I was so glad to hear your voice after such a long time but I'm really sad that your wife is asking for a divorce. James, I'll be praying for you. I pray that the Lord turn her heart around and even as you’re going through this difficulty remember how years ago you prayed, you trusted God for a child and God provided that child. And you've even prayed for your students and you saw how God worked in the life of your students. James, I want you to just take a moment and think back of God's goodness to you in those past years. And as you go through this struggle be encouraged that He's able to do above all that you could ask and could desire. If you need to get counseling with your wife, I would suggest you get some counseling with her and the two of you together with God worked this out. I'm praying for you and I'm trusting God on your behalf. Just continue…continue to trust Him and see Him work mightily in this situation. Just praise God for you in Jesus’ name. Randolph from Toronto.
Hi DAB family my name is Ashley and I'm from California and I want to share a little of encouragement. So, first I just want to read you Psalm 13 verses 5 through 6. But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me. I want to share that this is a special time in my life, this time of year, because I remember God's goodness. He changed my life in a matter of a week, and He led me down the path of a new career and revealed that I was pregnant with my son and He took away people that I thought were supposed to be in my life. But He saved me. He rescued me and I constantly thank Him for that, and I just want to encourage anybody out there who may be going through a hard time and it may be confusing. I even have to preach this to myself, but I just want you to know that in the midst of chaos, in the midst of suffering God is doing a work no matter how you're feeling…how you're feeling He is working. He is working. He loves us. He has a plan, and His ways are better than our ways. And He will always provide and always take care of you. So, if you're having a hard time right now, I just want to let you know. I love you DAB family and Brian and China and Jill and…and the whole family I’m so grateful for you. So, I have a blessed rest of your day. Today is April 9th 2021. Take care everybody.

ISLAM 101: Muslim Beliefs: Knowledge of God Almighty : GOD’S FIGURATIVE ATTRIBUTES
I later realized that I had forgotten to write about God’s Attributes which are used in the Qur’an and Sunna in a figurative sense. Since a reference was made to them at the beginning of the article on God’s Attributes of Glory, it is necessary that I provide brief information about them here.
Although the Figurative Attributes are frequently mentioned in the Qur’an and the Sunna, as it is not proper to ascribe them to the Divine Being with their apparent or literal meanings, different interpretations have been made about them and they have caused some to slip away from the Straight Way. Some people have approached them in their literal meanings and have not been able to prevent themselves from going to extremes, thus putting themselves at the risk of falling into misguidance and loss. However, while the earliest, upright Muslim scholars preferred to keep aloof from making interpretations about them based on their personal views, their righteous followers never abandoned respect or self-possession in their moderate interpretations, going neither towards denial nor deviating into anthropomorphism or similar creeds.
We encounter the Figurative Attributes both in the Qur’an and the Sunna. Among these Attributes we can list what follows:
“Coming” in And Your Lord comes (89:22);
“Self-Establishment” in The All-Merciful, Who has established Himself on the Supreme Throne (20:5), which means God’s subjugating the creation to His command, manifesting His Sovereignty, Grandeur, and Power;
“Avoidance” in God avoids but completing His light (9:32);
“Self” in He has bound Himself to mercy (6:12), And I have attached you to Myself (20:41), and in the Prophetic saying, “You are as You have praised Yourself;”68 and the Prophetic quotation from God, “Surely I have made wrongdoing unlawful for Myself.”69
“Wrath” in God has become wrathful with them (4:93), which means punishment and condemnation;
“Hand” in verses such as God’s hand is over their hands (48:10), and All grace is in God’s hand (57:29), which means power, ownership, control and disposal, and help;
“Face” in verses such as Everything is perishable except His Face (28:88), But there remains forever the Face of Your Lord (55:27), and “We feed you only for the sake of God’s Face” (76:9), which means the Divine Being Himself or God’s approval and good pleasure.
Further, concepts, such as:
“Saying” in verses like: When your Lord said to the angels (2:30);
“Speaking” in His Lord spoke to him (7:143);
“All-Hearing, All-Seeing” in the Divine declaration, Surely God is All-Hearing, All-Seeing (22:75);
“Companionship” which is understood from God is with You (47:35); and
“Footing” in They have a sure footing with their Lord (10:2), are regarded by some as being among the same Attributes.
It is possible to encounter many similar Attributes in the sayings of the noblest, most illustrious Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings.
“Asking” in “He asks the angels;”70
“Ordering” and “Prohibiting” in the Prophetic sayings where we see the phrases “He orders”71 and “He prohibits;”72
“Witnessing” in the sayings where the phrase “He wit nesses”73 is mentioned;
“Moving Speedily” in the sayings such as “He moves speedily to respond with favor;”74
“Approaching” in such sayings as “He immediately approaches with favor;”75
“Descending” in the sayings such as “He descends to the heaven of the world,”76 and several other concepts such as:
“Loving, Becoming Wrathful, the Best Form, Exhilaration, Smiling, Grasping, Contracting, Expanding, Struggling, Feeling Wonder, Showing Care, Heed and Sensitivity, Being with or Companionship” in the Prophetic sayings where we see the phrases, “He loves;77 He becomes wrathful;78 He is seen in the Best Form;79 He exhilarates;80
He smiles;81 He grasps;82 He expands;83 He struggles;84 He feels wonder;85 There is none more careful and sensitive than God,”86 and “I am with him when he mentions Me,”87 respectively.
The earliest scholars of Islam, who followed the way of the Prophet and his Companions very closely, acted in self-possession and with great care concerning the Figurative Attributes, in the same way they did with the subtle, very meaningful statements of the Qur’an. They admitted them to be among God’s Attributes and preferred referring their true meanings to God Almighty. Unlike these scholars of the Ahlu’s-Sunna wa’l-Jama‘a, the followers of certain misguided sects, such as the Anthropomorphists (Mujassima) and the Comparers (Mushabbiha), asserted that God Almighty had a body and compared Him to the created, respectively; this was partly in order not to deny these Attributes, and thus the Divine Being was conceived as One Who, like human beings, has hands, feet, eyes, and ears, and Who descends, ascends, runs, gets near, becomes rejoiced, and smiles, etc. As a result, they fell into mental misguidance. In contrast to such an extreme attitude as this, the Mu‘tazila and the Jahmiyya went to the opposite extreme and, considering that having such Attributes was not appropriate for the Divine Being, denied God any Attribute, rather asserting that there is only the Divine Being Himself with His Acts. However, the earliest, righteous Muslim scholars admitted the existence of all the Divine Attributes including the Figurative Ones, and referred the exact knowledge of their true nature to God Almighty. In addition to their considerations of the Divine Essence and Attributes that are free from any comparison and anthropomorphism, they were able to view and speak of the Divine Being as absolutely exempt from any defects, resemblance, or partnership, and, in the following words of the scholars of religious essentials or basic principles, they ascertained the truth: “God exists and has At tributes, without having any resemblance and bearing no comparison to anything created; He is absolutely free from any defect, resemblance, and comparison, but has Attributes and Names.”
Some of the scholars of later generations did not deem it harmful to make certain reasonable interpretations concerning the Attributes based on the essential principles of the Religion in order to preserve minds from adulteration with misguided thoughts and creeds. For example, they interpreted “Descending” as the descent of God’s mercy, “Coming” as the coming of His punishment, “Self-Establishment on the Supreme Throne” as His demonstrating His absolute dominion, “Hand” as His bounties, Power, and ownership, “Moving Speedily” and “Getting Near” as God’s immediate response with favor and regard, and “Love” as His treating people pleasingly and mercifully.
Unless there is a necessity to respond to objections, following the way of the earliest righteous scholars is safer and is a better mannered approach. In case of necessity, the way of the righteous scholars of later generations may be adopted.
O God! I believe in You and in whatever comes from Your Presence. Enable us to follow Your Religion in safety and make us steadfast. Do not let our hearts swerve after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your Presence. Surely You are the All-Bestowing. And bestow blessings and peace on our master and the intercessor for our sins, Muhammad, and on his Family and Companions, pure and clean. All praise and gratitude are for God, the Lord of the worlds.
