Tumgik
#i should do her s10 outfit…
Note
Elizabeth Corday and Romano for the send character post
Elizabeth:
Why I like them: arrogant and has good reason to be. wildly self-destructive in response to emotional turmoil. so bad at so many things but absolutely confidently doing them anyway. total weirdo who, and I quote, thinks "being 'cool' seems somewhat limiting." desperately trying to be Good but she's also capable of such vicious pettiness and unkindness. when she does the big sad eyes I would throw myself into the sea if she asked it of me.
Why I don’t: s10 my nemesis until the end of time
Favorite episode (scene if movie): EXODUS ft. Sooty Elizabeth, a favorite blind box variant (gestures to my icon)
Favorite season/movie: I have to say s6. Dean Rollins arc my most dearly beloved
Favorite line: her goodbye spiel to Rollins is just banger after banger... but especially I held your every breath in my hands. like!!!!
Favorite outfit: whenever she wears sweaters!! the blue turtleneck especially is so underrated.
OTP: ot3 reigns forever :')
Brotp: canonically, Cordano. noncanonically, Susan should have stayed specifically so they could be chaotic bi friends.
Headcanon: she wants to be the kind of person who starts decorating for holidays super early but she always is like "tomorrow!!" and then it's like The Day Before Thanksgiving and she's hurling fistfuls of orange streamers over the banister like WHY DID NOBODY MAKE ME DO THIS SOONER
Unpopular opinion: That Woman Was Never Supposed To Be A Mother: a 25 page essay by Mouse
A wish: more sweaters!! less emotional self-harm!!! also she should kiss me.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: what else could you possibly do to me that s10 didn't already. I mean.
5 words to best describe them: the. love. of. my. life.
Romano:
Why I like them: he has made himself a performance. he has made himself a villain. he is soooo fake and he is soooo horrible and he's my special little guy and I need to fistfight him in the parking lot. he says things and then is just like :) as though he hasn't just vocalized a sentence no human being would ever say under normal circumstances. he is like a chew toy to me and well I am tearing him to shreds
Why I don’t: lol have you seen him. I said meet me in the PARKING LOT, ROBERT
Favorite episode (scene if movie): hmmmmm this is a TOUGH ONE. Power is one of my all-time favorites anyway but he's really good in it especially so let's go with that one
Favorite season/movie: s5&6 again. it's where I LIVE
Favorite line: "DO YOU DREAM OF LIZZIE CORDAY??"
Favorite outfit: I am legally obligated to say the speedo unfortunately
OTP: please.
Brotp: Cordano... Peter... Rogreene... Gretel...
Headcanon: I read him as ace so whenever he pulls a "haha I thought we were talking about sex :)" at an utterly bizarre moment, in my heart he's like "Mission Complete: I Have Successfully Passed As A Normal Heterosexual Man!"
Unpopular opinion: I feel like an insane person but he is so obviously a constructed persona most of the time. like. a person with power over others is not going to be well-liked by everybody so he just decided he's not going to be well-liked by ANYBODY. also if you tell him to stop... he stops. he respects people who have a spine.
A wish: no, little bald boy, don't go onto the roof
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: backstory lol I like him being such a blank slate and so fan attempts at giving him some kind of tragic past are always so funny to me like. he's just a massive dick it's okay he doesn't need a sad reason for it
5 words to best describe them: idiot garbage bag with heart.

Ninjago Crystalized E22 - E30 thoughts
forgot this was in my drafts
EP 22
ronin is a legend. he got done so dirty like... he had such a good arc in s5 only for the writers to revert him to a generic thief. and the ninja were just chill with getting him locked up in ninjago’s prison for the worst criminals?? what the hell guys. add onto this how corrupt/ incompetent the leadership and justice systems in ninjago seem and... phew, that’s some bootlicking from our favourite little legos /hj
nya knowing stuff about plants is so cute. let them have more interests outside of ninja-ing!
the production value on these fights really is good
oh wow master wu could really use an elemental dragon right about now!
"i fished out the last one" LOL
doing it again in the same canal LMAO thats an L having to give wu mouth to mouth. also not sure that’s what you should do with someone who still has water in their lungs
EP 23
aww cute jaya moments
nya has her powers back! wow i sure enjoyed her well developed arc that was so worth them bringing her back!! /s
aww i love these kids having their own little counterattack. kiddos aren’t your families looking for you?
love how antonia went from wanting to quit to being adamant they should fight back
"i am not about to lead a bunch of children against the embodiment of evil and darkness!" soooo like every other season? "that never stopped you before!" TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH LOL DRAG HIM
kind of surprising just how many times wu wants to quit and others have to remind him that ninja never quit, my brother in fsm you taught them that
btw this should have been the s10 ending just oni instead of the overlord. still mad about how rushed that season was.
EP 24
honestly idc about lloyd’s whole angst with his dad, they act like sensei garmadon never existed. evil garmadon hasn’t even been around long enough for lloyd to be super disappointed in him on a personal level like that. why can’t he instead be angry at this garm because he’s not the father he remembers and only serves as a walking reminder that he’ll never see sensei garmadon again.
dragon form let’s goooo
side note i miss lloyd saying dregon
omg the ice emperor are we actually talking about this
oh we're just gonna brush over it and make it a joke. got it.
RONIN MVPPP
borg tower yet againnnn also this guy was so focused on his projects he didn’t realise the apocalypse was happening? i love him
pixal: ronin why are you helping us?
WOW WE REALLY JUST IGNORED SEASON 5 HUH JUSTICE FOR RONIN
EP 25
few notes here bc i was too busy staring at the lava
the way he softly calls coles name when he wakes up ToT
kai fighting by himself to protect cole dsfgsd lowkey wish that fight had been extended for the wump but also so skylor can come just in the nick of time
i like the implication that skylor doesnt keep those powers forever, she has to touch an elemental master again to “recharge” so to speak. makes her much less op so that’s cool.
wu broadcasting on all frequencies but wouldn’t the bad guys hear him too?
that transition from the ninja running over the manhole to lloyd and garmadon being in the sewers is super cool. i love cinema.
lloyd's argument with garmadon gives the implication he's mad at him for never being a good father but THATS A MOVIE PLOT NOT THE SERIES ARRRRGHH
what could’ve been cool if instead they made lloyd not want to embrace his oni side bc he's scared of the anger and resentment building up in him over all these years of being the green ninja. y’know like the fandom keeps harping on about but is never actually portrayed in the show.
one thing i like about these new seasons is the clear motifs and musical character themes. paper delivery professionals for the win.
the paper kids wearing home made outfits with pots on their heads gives me such codename kids next d00r vibes
actually i like these post apocalyptic vibes, with everyone trying to look for each other and hiding but rallying secretly.
aww that happy moment with the family then kai and skylor hhhhngngng if only they delved more into skylor and her childhood crying
EP 26
omg kai finally having his speech skills back!!!
weeeeell kinda. actually it's effective lol he's so cute with kids.
had to pause this skylor and kai moment bc im dying from cringe. also lmao all these seasons and they weren't really together? oh he hasn't even spoken to her all this time?? skylor was at nya's funeral i swear ToT
here's an F for the lava fans. it was a pleasure shipping with you o7
zane is broken yet agaaaaim
if jay and the others could figure out the hint about the newspapers then surely the bad guys could
RACER 7 I MISSED YOUUUUUUUU
also she's basically antonia lmao could they not have thought of a different design
"that paycheck of yours? kiss it goodbye"
I LOVE HER
stop fakeout deathing me with zane lmao we've done this 50 times already. wow she gave up pretty quickly huh.
oh for god's sake they'll reverse the fakeout death THAT quickly? i give up. and he lives just because of an emotional speech? please
can't believe tommy made a big deal about this and made everyone think they would split up somehow. oh wait he does that all the time and the fandom runs away with it every time. if you wanted emotional moments for zane and pixal you had a story about suppressing grief and trauma right there! why was pixal ok with him completely turning off his emotions earlier anyway?
oh well pixal's squeal of delight was adorable though
EP 27
lloyd: relying on others isn’t weak!
cheers i’ll drink to that. again this could have been really impactful after an arc about trusting too much to mistrusting too much to finally hitting that balance.
cuta jaya moment but nya's arc this season is basically generic “believe in yourself” and like. we've done that before. they literally just brought her back to return to the status quo for the “last” season.
racer 7: speed. i am speed.
ok i know i complain about ignoring the old seasons but at least they tried to tie in the other new seasons like calling vania and benthomar and all that. it's basically a replacement for when previous seasons would bring back the other EMs and such and i guess it makes sense since this is a different era of ninjago. all of that falls apart when they insist on bringing back characters like garmadon though...
oh finally they didn’t fall into the canal for once!
oh no if they make cole and vania get together i’m gonna...read the entire hs epilogues and hs2. worst thing i could think of.
the others are either gonna find another way to find out what happened and come to help them in the nick of time, or this was just a way of explaining why no one else came to help.
EP 28
oops i watched the final eps drunk after a party and I still haven’t gone back to rewatch them ^^; umm fun moments, dragon form was ???? out of nowhere and should have had a whole season centred around achieving this form, Nya’s character regressed, rushed ending considering how much history they had to tie up, llorumi bad and i miss those little legos already

Elisabeth’s ESC Semi-Final 1 Recap (Part 1)
Now that I have slept and I had my coffee, I can finally sit down, go through the evening again, and give a few thoughts about yesterday’s first Semi Final:
Atmosphere and Hosts:
First of all, the event location is AMAZING, the hosts were really good and charming. I had no doubts Torino would organise an amazing show and they did, chapeau already I am looking forward to Thursday and Saturday!
If it weren’t for the results of the Semi Finals, this would have been a near perfect evening, not gonna lie!
Intro Song:
The whole intro act was loud, over the top, cheesy, just like I like it. Well done, nothing to complain about, a big spectacle and a solid start to the Eurovision Week.
Albania (Ronela Hajati - Sekret)
It was quite catchy, but also not amazing. The singer missed her notes quite a few times (probably due to nerves which I totally understand) and overall it was just not doing it for me.
Latvia (Citi Zeni - Eat Your Salad)
Clear winners of this first semi finals, and I can’t wait for them to release the audience voting numbers. The song is catchy, it’s fun, the outfits were ON POINT, their stage performance was great, they just had so much fun, and it’s one of these songs that will live on in the collective memories of Eurovision Fans, for years to come.
Tumblr media
Also, they got the whole hall to sing “Pussy”. I will forever be bitter. I am so so sorry Latvia, we let you down, you should be very proud of them.
Lithuania (Monika Liu - Sentimentai)
I do like that song, despite it being slow (usually a big minus for me). It was well sung, well performed, and ... kinda cute. Not mad she made it to the finale, not at all. Well done. Not my favourite of the evening, but happy to hear it again.
Switzerland (Marius Bear - Boys Do Cry)
Boring. So so boring. Sorry Switzerland, I usually like your entries, and I have heard other stuff by that artist that I liked, but that was just really boring and I do not care for it at all.
Slovenia (LPS - Disko)
I liked it, it was a solid entry, the keyboarder had SO MUCH FUN and I’m into it! Liked the outfits, liked the artists, the song was good. Nothing too special, but I would have liked to see them in the finale. But alas, they didn’t make it. But well done, guys, and special shout out to the enthusiastic keyboard player :)
Ukraine (Kalush Orchestra - Stefania)
A lot of people will say they will win just because of sympathy points. Maybe they will, who knows. That said, I did like that song. I liked last year’s entry more (one of my all time favourites!) but this year’s song is really good as well. Loved the chorus especially, the wild outfits, and the random flute (?) solo. Great overall, so if they win it won’t just be for sympathy that’s for sure.
Bulgaria (Intelligent Music Project - Intention)
Any entry that is a rock song is a win in my book. That said, I felt pretty “meh” about that one. A pretty standard rock song that I wouldn’t mind hearing on the radio, but probably wouldn’t seek out intentionally. Not surprised they didn’t make it, but I would take that song before any of the ballads without a second of hesitation.
Netherlands (S10 - De Diepte)
I honestly don’t know what to say about this. I forgot every note the moment it was gone. I cannot even say that I like or dislike or hate it, this song leaves no whatsoever impression to me. I have zero feelings about that song. It was well sung I guess? I don’t remember any wrong notes? How this made the finale is a miracle to me, (how anyone remebered it even existed is a mircale to me!) but good for them I guess? But don’t expect me to like or even remember that song the second it is over...
Moldova (Zdob si Zdub - Trenuletul)
Yes. Yes yes ALL the yes! It was weird and crazy. Focus on ANY one of that group at any point of the song and you will be entertained (the drummer, by god the drummer, I cannot stop staring at him he is amazing!). I didn’t expect them to make it to the finale because I thought it could be TOO weird, but they made it and I am very happy. I will be rooting for you, Moldova, good luck in the finale!
Part 2 will come in a separate post :)

spyfall pt2 salt commentary
can someone please tell me if this episode makes sense to anyone cos i do not get it at all
don’t know why this episode doesn’t have an unique title like usual two parters, especially as this episode has definitely a lot less of the spy theme (again obvious that this was originally a single episode).
the fact that the writing is on the plane floor is a gamble that they’d see it
ADA!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 i love ada.
why do the kasaavin take ada again?
im sorry but the master’s tardis console is so ugly, baby you deserve so much better.
another Gender Joke™️! very funny ch*bnall, i laughed very hard i promise(!)
‘thats what the doctor would do’ see yaz has had her what would the doctor do moment here, why it’s made a point of in war of the sontarans confuses me.
the master’s 1834 outfit is very sexy, it’s a shame the directing doesn’t give many full shots of it.
lol the master’s top hat disappeared in between shots, where does it goes?
one thing i definitely don’t like is how little this doctor cares about the master and how out of character this is. i feel like sacha is giving a lot more to this but honestly don’t feel much coming from jodie, the doctor seems to only look at the master with disgust/ contempt, which is not their relationship at all.
obviously this goes without saying that this completely ignores missy’s arc and the doctor and master’s dynamic in s10 which is a real shame. i don’t know if ch*bnall has given his opinion on this but i guess he obviously didn’t like it idk.
yesss!! ada shooting the master is so badass i love her, finally a character who isn’t all passive. she is much more interesting as a character in 10 minutes than the fam are in 2 seasons.
also i hate the doctor’s moral high horse here. like she doesn’t say anything when the master kills 3 people unprompted but tells ada off for shooting the master in the arm when he was holding them all hostage, rescuing the doctor in the process, like can we please get a bit of perspective here.
i don’t understand why the silver lady is brought to 1834?
the fam being on the run is a blantant rip off of sound of the drums. honestly ch*bnall should use citations when he copies other people’s work.
also that generic ass ‘wanted’ poster is so funny
‘what if the doctor doesn’t come back?’ god some of these line deliveries are so deadpan. how i suppose to believe that they are a ‘fam’ when even the actors don’t even believe it.
it’s really funny that the fam’s reaction to the doctor and the master is like ‘bit awkward innit?’
why is the doctor so secretive towards the fam? is this ever explained why?
it’s really funny that graham is trying to reassure the others that the doctor is okay, because honestly they don’t actually seem to give a shit about her or whether she’s actually alive or not.
‘you know what she would ask now? what do we have at our disposable?’ see yaz is questioning what would the doctor do in this situation again. see she doesn’t actually need it written on her hand to ask herself these questions!
also it’s funny that yaz phrases this as what would the doctor ask. like im pretty sure yaz, a c*p, would also be able to ask these questions on her own. but then that would give her actual agency and would act like an actual character and ch*bnall can’t allow that.
like i don’t know what to call it, infantilisation? general lack of agency? but ch*bnall’s incessant need for the companions to only follow the doctor and be completely lost and unable to save the day without her is so annoying. like obviously it’s done worse in revolution of the daleks but yeah i hate how pointless ch*bnall made the role of companions to basically be reduced to background furniture who only exist to spout exposition and follow the doctor round like cheerleaders. like its the most shallow interpretation of the companion role ever to exist in the show (honestly i could rant on for hours about what ch*bnall did to the companion role and i’ll never forgive him for that).
‘ada are you okay?’ oh my god the doctor can ask this question to people! why does she literally never ask her companions this??
honestly why are there so many lense flares? the directing in this era is the worst.
so why do the kasaavin need to infiltrate multiple point of time? i don’t understand what they are gaining in the past that they couldn’t just get in the present day.
no idea what this stuff about barton and his mum is about? did ch*bnall ever elaborate on this?
i get the feeling that the master says something to noor but this has been cut/ edited out? this would explain ada’s line about hearing the master’s voice from under the floorboards.
also why wouldnt they check under the floorboards afterwards?
i don’t really see how ada tagging along would cause them to land in the wrong time (and specifically this time period/ location), again it’s just another excuse to do location hopping.
so the master tracks the doctor down to 1834/ 1943 through the kasaavin, is that right? honestly i don’t know how else he would be doing this.
‘two pacifists and a 19th century descendant of byron’ im sorry but its really rude to just refer to ada as daughter of byron when she accomplished many great things of her own accord.
it’s beyond words that ch*bnall sees nothing wrong with putting a poc in that uniform. i hate it him for it more than words can say. i’ll literally never forgive him for what he does in this episode.
‘ryan don’t tell them the plan!’ again! if ch*bnall is so aware of his shitty dialogue then why doesn’t he stop??
the fam don’t contribute anything this episode, they just have a run around? basically same as in survivors of the flux
why is the silver lady left in the warehouse on its own where it’s vulnerable. what if one of the fam just decided to smash it or something. honestly the silver lady thing isnt set up very well, it’s just a generic mcguffin thing.
okay talking out loud here, so when kasaavin ‘attack’ people it’s kills them, except they can’t kill the doctor and yaz because of their artron energy and also they don’t kill ada because they’ve been studying her for years. so were they meant to attack the doctor and yaz (like the master implies) or did they intentionally transported them to their dimension? (and if so why? to be studied?) like the teleporting thing has to international because they transport ada who doesn’t have artron energy. i am a bit confused on these kasaavin powers. it doesn’t help that kasaavin don’t really show up in this part until the end. i honestly feel like we don’t learn any more about them except they want to change humans into hard drives for… some reason??? nah i don’t understand this plan.
this plot falls apart in the second part and honestly i can’t make sense of it. maybe im being dumb but if anyone wants to fill me in that would be greatly appreciated.
like i think the hardest part is trying to follow all three antagonists plans, the master’s, the kasaavin’s and barton’s.
wasn’t the idea of gallifrey in a bubble universe is that it shouldn’t be easy to get in and out? obviously this was m*ffat’s idea and im not sure how clara and doctor get out of gallifrey in hell bent and m*ffat doesn’t explain how the master got out either. yknow what im already confused, let’s not bring m*ffat concepts into this. my point being is what’s the point of the bubble universe if the time lords can just come and go as they please?
the annoying thing is that there probably is a lot of potential to do stuff with gallifrey and the time lords but none of the nuwho writers have ever been able to do much with it and yet still they keep messing around with it. like destroying gallifrey again was literally so pointless because ch*bnall does nothing with it, when rtd destroyed gallifrey at least there was a character arc for doctor, here the doctor barely reacts it (onscreen at least). and also the whole flip flopping of destroying gallifrey, bringing it back, destroying gallifrey again is so childish and just looks like the showrunners fighting like children over their toys. like destroying gallifrey again is just shitting on m*ffat’s work which in turn was originally shitting on rtd’s work and just uuuuhhhhhhh!!! the audience is so tired of this!! it’s pathetic. why did ch*bnall destroy gallifrey again? for what purpose did this serve? honestly im putting gallifrey on a high shelf until these male writers learn how to behave.
i won’t insult anyone’s intelligence by going over why the that eiffel tower scene is awful and bad and honestly i skipped this because no one needs to see that scene more than once.
all i will say is ‘never be cruel, never be cowardly’…
the master’s tardis exterior not changing is so stupid and contrived!! the master may be arrogant but he isn’t stupid. my eyes cannot roll any further to the back of my head.
and honestly the doctor leaving/ stranding the master is so fucking stupid and out of character. the doctor would be smart enough to know not to leave the master on earth knowing the potential untold damage they can do. the master was stranded on earth (kinda) for 18 months and end up enslaving the planet. who knows what the master can do in 77 years. ahhhhh god i hate this so much. why? why would you do this? you are literally endangering the planet so much doctor
also wait why didn’t the master just use the kasaavin to get back to 2020? they can time travel right? that’s how the doctor is moving through time rightttt? why can’t the master do the same?
nah serious question do the kasaavin have time travel abilities?
so what does barton get out of this plan? i don’t feel like this is clearly established.
i don’t understand, why did the kasaavin target significant figures surrounding computers through time? were they needed to influence them or something? why did they need to go back in time to do this? couldn’t they just use barton in the present day? nah even when the doctor is explaining it straight to the audience im lost. i don’t understand the time travel part of this plan at all.
the master’s sexy purple outfit is so iconic and it’s an actual crime you can’t see it because of the awful ‘only close ups allowed’ directing.
the resolution of this story being ‘i just went back in time and undid what you did’ is the laziest example of time travelling. it’s cheating. as soon as ch*bnall wrote this someone should have taken the pen from him and told him sci-fi isn’t for you mate.
the way the doctor forgets about the fam being in a life threatening situation 💀
so fun that barton never gets resolved. also does the fam being on the run ever get resolved? you think that would have some sort of effect, especially for yaz.
ah yes the bit where the doctor take two women’s memories without consent and with absolutely zero repercussions for these actions. clearly ch*bnall missed the bit where this was established not to be an ethical thing.
and also the doctor removing ada/ noor’s memories when this has literally never happened to any other historical figure is so weird. ‘oh but we need to keep the timeline in check’ it’s literally fucking fiction it doesn’t matter! it’s not real ch*bnall! shakespeare never actually fought witches, agatha christie never actually encountered a murder mystery with a giant wasp, doctor who is fiction ch*bnall! it’s so unnecessary and makes the doctor out to be just cruel
what happened to master’s tardis? like where does the doctor leave it? this is literally never addressed.
a pet peeve of mine is definitely when they show flashbacks of something that happened in the same episode. your audience isn’t that dumb i assure you
i don’t understand how ‘the time lords lied to us’ is suppose to be some sort of revelation. like yeah they’ve been shady bitches from the start, this isn’t new or a surprise for their MO.
i don’t understand why the doctor is now so secretive towards the companions compared to in the past. this is never given a motivation or reasoning.
i love how the fam asked the doctor who she was and she just gave a wikipedia entry of herself.
concluding thoughts: honestly i get very lost watching this episode, like i said part two takes a massive detour from the plot and i don’t fully see the point of it? trying to keep track of three antagonists in a ch*bnall story seems excessive, as he can’t pull this off well (the timeless children and flux both suffer from multiple antagonists also). this also doesn’t help when the majority of the time they are kept separate. how the master, barton and the kasaavin came together isn’t very clear, i guess it just happened off screen and it doesn’t matter. also i don’t understand what barton’s motivations were/ what he gets out of this plan. he is just Evil Tech Guy™️. i guess i understand the kasaavin a little bit more but they do just become generic we want to take over the world baddies. them being from a different dimension is their most interesting point yet this hardly explored any further. the master does not do a lot in this part except chase the doctor through time, anything they do for main plot all happens offscreen which is dissatisfying as it makes it harder to see how much the master contributes to the plan. the companions also do nothing this part and don’t affect the plot in any way, honestly seemed like a waste of screen time to keep cutting to them. our pseudo companions ada and noor do contribute more to the plot which is nice. i really like ada, who seems like an actual character with agency and actually does things, but in end feels like she and noor are punished by having their memories taken away without their consent which has been established multiple times in dw to be a bad thing, here the doctor gets away with numerous unethical actions and is never punished nor called out on this behaviour. i really like sacha as the master i think he gives a great performance, he definitely deserves a lot more (russell please im begging you). the climax/ resolution for this story is awful, literally the laziest way of writing time travel there is (im pretty sure the curse of fatal death makes a joke about this use of time travel! and that was a parody! although i have never actually watched curse of fatal death and im very happy continuing my existence without seeing it).

Another thing about the comics is that... I have never felt this poly-baited before in my life.
Many love triangles give off big “this would be better poly” vibes to me and I end up shipping them as an OT3 instead. But very rarely do they feel like the writers themselves are two seconds from coming to that same conclusion; most feel more unintentional in the vibes they give off.
But the BtVS comics very much felt as though they were deliberately setting Angel/Spike/Buffy up to become canon. And I’m saying that as someone who doesn’t ship that. I only ship one of these three angles, so I can’t even say that this is personal shipper bias making me see things.
First, we have season 8 making Buffy and Angel actual soulmates. Which feels like the kind o thing that, I don’t know, should have a real pay-off.
Then, we have Buffy and Spike being the central romantic relationship of the comic run, being canon for two whole seasons, with Spike being her primary love interest in the comic continuity and the comics really fleshing out their romantic relationship.
And then there is the third angle. The Angel and Spike angle.
For one, the comics actually did just randomly confirm that Angel/Spike had a thing at one point in the past. Completely unprompted. There was no need to put that in there, but it sure would have worked as a good foundation for yes, they do have a sexual history with each other too. There was something once; under the right circumstances and maybe with the right ignition (-> their shared love for Buffy), who’s to say there couldn’t be something again?
And, outside of the Spuffy moments, one of my favorite moments was when Angel was losing himself and Spike was the only one to ground him. Spike. Of all people. Him, getting Angel back by calling him Liam, by going back into Angel’s past and using Angel’s abusive father to redirect Angel’s anger. That was... such an incredibly vulnerable moment for Angel and it also gave insight into just how well Spike knows him. And I do think that, throughout the comics, their relationship grew a lot and they became much more grown-up and less dick-measuring-contest brats around each other.
Seeing Spike, Angel and Buffy fight side by side and rely on each other so incredibly fluently was actually fascinating.
Another huge aspect was how... Buffy... kept fantasizing about them. For one, when we see her go into her dreamscape with Ethan and she sees herself in the nurse outfit with Spike on her one side and Angel at her other side.
Tumblr media
(It feels wrong to say that and not provide a visual.)
But there was also a whole tiny mini comic that was just Buffy dreaming about Angel and Spike making out with each other. Which goes beyond the her wanting them both for herself, but also her subconsciousness thinking about them together.
And lastly, and the biggest reason why it felt not just poly-baity but like they genuinely wanted to go there: Harmony.
Harmony Kendall, who continued to be the biggest Angel/Buffy/Spike shipper in universe. She brought up polyamory by name repeatedly. At one point, she got the freaking book that could alter reality into her hands and aside from many selfish wishes, she literally wanted to give Buffy the “ultimate” happy ending in having Angel/Buffy/Spike be a happily married triad.
Tumblr media
One time’s a joke. But if you continuously keep bringing up “hey actually polyamory is a thing” then it starts to sound less like a joke and more like foreshadowing. Because her bringing it up started to feel more and more like the way Willow and Dawn and Dowling kept bringing up Spuffy around either Spike or Buffy during s9 and early s10; just before Spuffy actually became canon.
Love triangles always present two possible ship outcomes and the oh-so dramatic either/or question. But those are not actually the only options.
The comics went with the third option of just... not... making anything endgame at all, which might just be the most frustrating approach to this. But they really had the opportunity and, quite frankly, the set-up to go poly.
(I’m not saying Angel and Spike would have just... immediately fallen in love or anything. But if nothing else, their shared love for Buffy would have made them willing to give it a try.)

Ive finished watching eleven seasons of rupauls drag race and now feel I am ready to briefly review each season
S1: A good start though it must be said, ONGINA WAS ROBBED! Also there was favoritism.
S2: Not a bad season but at least somewhat ruined by Rupauls rather overt favoritism towards Tyra and dislike of Pandora. While I didnt like Tyra on the show his callout of the entire drag community after leaving drag has given me massive respect for him and feels like karma for RuPauls rather blatant self promotion and attempts to turn himself into some kind of rolemodel. But aside from the callout and Jujube, and Pandora the season is unmemorable.
S3: The top three were all highly skilled and the winner seemed to deserve it though that was later put into doubt after it came to light that Raja had worked with RuPaul before the show aired, and lets be honest Manilla Luzon was much more talented.
S4: One of the best seasons in drag race history, has the best music video, and Sharron Needles is hands down the most influential and versatile queen in drag race history. The only bad part, aside from the editing against phi phi, is Latrice Royal, who, and I feel this needs to be said, wouldnt have been in the top four had Willam stayed, and certainly wouldnt have made top five if Alaska had been allowed to join, mostly because she kept showing a similar outfit, her not being a particularly good actor, being thrown off really easily, and quickly relying on a shtick.
S5: Good season, but I feel that Roxxxy really did end up in the top three only because Visage and Ru love drama and the Jersey Shore look that was at the time Roxxxy Andrews trademark look, and the Coco Alyssa drama was really dull, neither deserved to be as high as ended up, and ultimately both queens are unmemorable.
S6: Not a bad season but i'm not a fan of Courtney Act or miss Lake, mostly because I think they both get away with looks that really they shouldnt have gotten away with, though arguable so did Bendelacreme. Though it was nice that there wasnt any drama, and Bianca del Rio is really funny.
S7: Ive tried to come up with words to describe this season, I cant, its just that bad. No not bad just dull, really dull and awkward, and the worst part is that its not the queens who drag the season down, the queens themselves are fine and Pearl stands out as being a particularly interresting person when not on drag race, its RuPaul being a tool off camera and coming up with challenges that play to the queens weaknesses rather strengths.
S8: Unfortunately I found Bob the Drag Queen so attractive out of drag that I stopped caring about what he looked like in drag with the end result being that I have no idea if hes a good drag queen. But ignoring the moments where I was drooling over Bob it was a good season with some truly great outfits, and a good Snatch Game, that wether for good or bad did very quickly become the Bob the drag queen and Kim Chi show, making it in hindsight the second most plann
S9: The season started off with an appearance by Lady Gaga , whose reviews of the outfits consisted of little more than name dropping and not much else, unintentionally setting the tone for a dull and awkward season with a cheerleading challenge that causes one person to crack a rib and another to almost permanently lose their ability to dance, a Reality Star Rusical that is well just dull, painfully bad lipsinks, uninterresting outfits, and perhaps the blandest wierd drag queen in the history of the competition. Its also in this season that introduced the lipsink for the crown format that I personally despise as it takes the power away from the viewers and puts it back in Rupauls hand.
S10: Solid season, mostly focused on returning contestant Eureka but the other contestants are given enough focus that it feels natural. The challenges are interresting to watch, the snatchgame is funny, and the dresses are well made. The top four are all stars in their right and the winner of that season could have easily been any of them, making this the only season where a lipsink for the crown made sense.
S11: Starts off strong with people like Miss Vanjie, Brooke Lynne Hytes, Nina West and Yvie Oddly revealing a high degree of skill both as actors and as dress makers. Unfortunately the blatant favoritism of Rupaul, the judges, and the producers towards Silky Nutmeg Ganache (honestly they seem like a nice person in real life, but on the show they just seem like a tool), unimaginative challenges, distracting and irritating cameos by former drag race contestants including by Bianca whos dull and unentertaining appearance shows exactly why contestants shouldnt return at all, a rusical so god cringeworthy you'll pray for death (Trump the Rusical), the worst snatch game in drag race history, and painfully predictable twists result in a terrible season, with the only interresting things being the romance between Vanjie and Brooke (they broke up four months after the last episode before the reunion due to conflicting schedules), Miss Vanjie being well himself, Nina Wests acting, and Yvie Oddly's outfits .
S12: Havent seen it, but lets be honest this season is the one where the star is a sex offender. By now many fans have analysed the season and its become clear that the person who was intended to be the focal point and possible winner was Sherry Pie, which means that editing them out for very well known reasons also makes them the focal point just in a different way than intended. Hell it wouldnt surprise me if this season becomes known as the one with Sherry Pie, not the one where the winner won. Though it might also be the last season that RuPauls on, as there are rumors that hes stopping with drag race.
The Christmass Special: To short for a christmass special, to much like the other episodes to be special, to blatantly commercial to be Christmass, and to scripted, even by drag race standards, to be drag race.
And now for a review of the Judges themselves
RuPaul: On the outside a warm, outspoken, well meaning person whose done things which are truly groundbreaking. But beneath that warm exterior beats the stone cold heart of a businessman. He's calculating, manipulative, greedy, has no qualms about setting queens up for failure, and ultimately hasnt done much that could be seen as groundbreaking. Perhaps the worst part is that its clear that in terms of humor , mentality and fashion hes never left the 70s, which combined with his callous way of treating the enviroment (as shown by his fracking empire) and his history of transpobia, makes him a liability to the show. Even if you manage to ignore all of that, the show is ultimately about the drag queens, not about Rupaul, and Rupauls attemps to make it about him really drag the show down
Michelle Visage: Shes a mother of two teenagers with a stay at home husband pretending to be a bitchy whore on a tv show about drag queens, yeah thats her career. Now in truth thats not the biggest issue, the biggest issue is that shes got hangups and makes the same jokes over over again and that after being on the show for ten years she hasnt developed as a judge so the routine, to paphrase miss Visage herself, has been done to death. In truth the show needs something other than the same damn shtick and same damn comments all the time, and if she cant do it then she should quite so someone else can do it for her. Ok maybe thats the second biggest issue, the biggest is that she kisses RuPaul's ass untill it shines brighter than a mirror.
Valentino Rice: Good judge, and had great chemistry with the other judges.
Ross Mathews: Cute guy, wierdly charming, and interacts well with the others.
Carson Kressley: He comes across as a very tired, very frail, very gay but very very very dull ninety year old man, which makes sense given the fact that his entire career is based on being gay, and hes, well old. Ok hes not really old, hes 50, but on camera he looks and acts closer to 150. And the issue isnt that hes gay, its that hes doing a shtick, a very dull and fairly offensive shtick. Possibly the worst choice for a judge, and the show jumps in quality whenever hes not there.
Now for a few things that just bug me.
Favoritism: Unfortunately one of the biggest issues of the show is that seasons tend to be structured around Queens who are intended to be the winner, or at least the hero, from the get go, which has the advantage of allowing the creators of the show to change the structure and challenges from season to season, but also makes it hard to watch if the season is blatant in its favoritism, if the intended winner isnt that good, or if the winner gets eliminated for one reason or another.
Cameos by former contestants: Cameos are a great way to get people to say "I know that person" which is great in a tv show because you know that the cast wont change in the next episode, but not great in a competition where all it does is take away screentime from competitors and giving it to competitors who most likely did not do well enough to win in their own drag race, and even if they did, the show is not about them, but about the current contestants. As such if Ru wants them to return he should put them in All Stars.
Cameos by celebrities: Add nothing. Its drag race not the red carpet, i'm watching for the up and coming drag queens not famous people trying to boost their careers.
Adding politics to the show: No, just no. Dont do things like Trump the Rusical, dont have steven colbert do a voiceover, theres no way that can go well and it comes accross as virtue signaling. If Ru wants to do something good he should double the prize money and have half of the money go to a charity of the winners choosing, or stop fracking.
Adding politics outside of the Show: Drag queens are celebrities and entertainers, as such are constantly in the public eye and dependent on being in it for their income which means that anything they say in public, wether its gossiping, or discussing politics, needs to be viewed as being some form of self promotion. Now this might make things difficult for them, but it is a well known part of being an entertainer so it can be assumed that they were well aware of this before they joined Drag Race. If they do want to talk about politics without being viewed as self promoting, they are free to make an anonymous account on one of the many sites, like tumblr, where its assumed that no one knows who the other people are.
Family Friendly Drag: Lets be honest its men shoving their cocks up their own asses while dressing up as women, and naking refferences to sex, for the sake of entertainment. Thers nothing family friendly about it. Nor should there be as part of the appeal of drag is that its something that is restricted to adults. Likewise they arent heroes, they are entertainers, not doctors, not construction workers, entertainers no more worthy of praise then a person on a sitcom.
Drama outside of Drag Race: While drama on the show is to be expected and is part of what makes it entertaining, drama outside of the show is different its more personal and something that in truth should not be shared. However by presenting it as gossip on various shows they are saying its part of the show, which is unhealthy at best.
Final note.
While I am critising the Drag Race, I am not doing it because I dislike the show, I am infact a big fan of the show but at the same time I want to get my thoughts out there see how others view these topics.

Doctor Who S12 Premiere
But I like 13's reaction to the Master reveal. And every time the Master is involved, there is something related to Gallifrey and the Time Lords. And the forest place Yaz and 13 ended up in seemed to be recognized by 13. Is it Gallifrey-related? The Timeless Child thing? As for O, he was inquisitive, resourceful, charismatic, and seemed to make for a great companion. I was hoping he'd stay longer, a la Captain Jack Harkness. With all the subtle foreshadowing, I was hoping that nothing would happen to him. Besides, he looked good in a suit. I was all for the Yaz and O moment, whatever that means for the future. It was sweet. Basically, GIVE YAZ MORE DEPTH. Whatever happened with her and the aliens seems to be a setup for more in the season. Will it lead to more i.e. Rose and Bad Wolf/Clara as the Impossible Girl? Also, the Torchwood reference got me bad. I'm still obsessed with the show; I miss Jack's team so much! Give us back Torchwood. And I guess this means that Gwen and Jack's revival of the org isn't on the same scale as it used to be, tho I haven't heard the Big Finish audios yet.
As someone who started watching Doctor Who in July 2019 and caught up on all the seasons (+ Torchwood and some books), here are my thoughts on the Doctor Who S12 premiere "Spyfall Part One." Of course, this means SPOILERS. SPOILERS!!!!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!!!!
I’ll tag this and anything I reblog from now on as “doctor who spoilers.” Block that tag, cause I’ll probably be reblogging a lot of posts. Also, everything is under the cut.
Before I begin, while I like 13/she's everything a Doctor should be, I found her lacking in some of the danger and edge that 10, 11, and 12 possessed. I think Whittaker was a good choice and that it was the writing that lacked some 'oomph.' I can't wait to see her in s12.
As for Chib's writing, I liked some of his Torchwood eps, but really only Rosa, DoP (I'm desi, sue me), Kerblam!, and Witchfinders stood out to me. I liked Yaz, but she needs more depth, tho Ryan and Graham are kinda interesting. And I mostly skipped the s11 finale.
The callbacks to the last season are nice. Yaz's family. Ryan's struggles with the bike. Grace's death. The Doctor working on the TARDIS. Even before that, the hacked car reminds me of ATMOS. It was funny to see 13 drive, not really something we see the Doctor doing that often.
MI6 transporting the TARDIS gives me S8/S9 UNIT flashbacks. Speaking of UNIT, this is exactly what UNIT and Torchwood existed to do, world! It was literally their job to keep an eye on the alien and protect the Earth when the Doctor couldn't. Good job defunding UNIT, Britain!
The spy gags are kinda funny. Yaz and Ryan make terrible spies, though they are trying. And the aliens/creatures remind me of the ghosts from Army of Ghosts/Doomsday. 13 and Graham fair slightly better with O. I was so excited to see a South Asian spy/agent.
Was the party supposed to be in Napa? Anyways, the Fam all looked dapper, but I particularly liked Yaz's outfit the most. The motorcycle chase and the plane scene was also very Mission Impossible-esque. Lots of Bond moments too, especially with the casino. That much was obvious.
As for O, he was inquisitive, resourceful, charismatic, and seemed to make for a great companion. I was hoping he'd stay longer, a la Captain Jack Harkness. With all the subtle foreshadowing, I was hoping that nothing would happen to him. Besides, he looked good in a suit.
But that reveal was unexpected as FUCK. I knew the Master would come back at some point - c'mon, no way that Missy was actually dead, but didn't expect it so SOON in this season. I'm all for it, tho. First Master reveal that has ever made me gasp.
From what I remember, Sacha Dhawan was a great Iron Fist villain. This Master seems charismatic and maniacal, a really "master" of disguise. Now that we know the truth, we can already tell that he was a great rapport/dynamic with the Doctor. I'm excited to see more of him.
But also...which Master is this? He could be from before Yana. He could be between Saxon and the Master (WIBBLY-WOBBLY, TIMEY-WIMEY). (Side note, how many regenerations does that Master have?????) But what I find to be saddest of all would be if he's a regeneration after Missy.
Because that would negate all of 12's efforts and the remorse Missy went through in s10, which made her rapport with 12 all the more sweeter. It would also imply that the Master cannot reform and is destined for malignity. That also gives his dynamic with 13 so much depth.
But I like 13's reaction to the Master reveal. And every time the Master is involved, there is something related to Gallifrey and the Time Lords. And the forest place Yaz and 13 ended up in seemed to be recognized by 13. Is it Gallifrey-related? The Timeless Child thing?
TDLR: There was a lot going on in this episode. I loved the Yaz moments and previous callbacks. The episode was fun. Interesting enough for a premiere, especially with that final reveal. Lots of unanswered questions. Can't wait to see the rest of s12.

Shipwreck
Timeline: Post-breakup, around s10 Rating: R
A big thank you to @contrivedcoincidences6 and @peacenik0 for suggestions to get me out of my fluffy funk and back into some decent angst. I tried to combine your suggestions. Also, I wrote this all in one sitting, so it is what it is. Mild cw for depression/mental illness.
To the two anons who suggested very dirty prompts… I’m thinking about those too. ;)
_+_
The hairbrush snagged in her wet hair and she made a face. Scully stared into the mirror, poked at the lines around her eyes, knew for certain she was doing absolutely the wrong thing. Still, she put on makeup and checked her phone for messages. The apartment was silent and cold, uncluttered, bare. Everything was in its perfect, terrible place. She didn’t know how to dress for this. She hadn’t been on a date since 1993, unless you included whatever the fuck that had been with Jerse. She and Mulder hadn’t dated. They’d gone straight from friendly-professional to absolute, life-swallowing entanglement. They were only ever suits or pajamas, never the awkward, performative display of courtship. They were corpses and danger and then raw, crushing fervor, together-alone contra the blood-smeared world.
She tried not to think of him, but each swipe of mascara, the spritz of perfume, the tug of her sweater over her head—every action was a betrayal. She felt it in her bones. Where was he now? Alone in their house, drowning in newspaper clippings, unshowered and unshaved, severed from the world of the living by obsession and shadow. And she had left him there.
She straightened herself against this thinking, told herself that she needed this, that it wasn’t a cruelty. It was dinner with a man, a fellow doctor. It’s a knife in the guts, Dana.
Dinner was fine. The conversation was fine. She ate pasta and green beans, smiled agreeably, made occasional jokes (nothing too funny, nothing crass, nothing interesting) and clamped down the feeling that she was a traitorous wretch.
“So, what about you, Dana?”
Dana. Dana Dana Dana Dana. Fuck.
“Do you have any kids?”
His name was Jason, and he was a middle-aged divorcé who probably shared a comfortable, if emotionally distant, relationship with his two children. Somewhere in the world was a fourteen-year-old boy with her eyes and Mulder’s soft brown hair, probably his penchant for baseball, self-absorption, and overwrought language, too: an awkward, gangly comingling of their DNA—sharp insight and dangerous credulity—who would never know this disastrous state of things.
“I, um…” Jesus, how to answer a question like that? “It’s complicated. I have a son, but he doesn’t live with me.”
“Ah,” Jason nodded, probably imagining some reasonable story about a nasty divorce and an estrangement. It was easier that way, she supposed.
The conversation slumped along, ostensibly pleasant but as flat as that evening two decades ago that had convinced her only to dive deeper into that basement office and all its maddening, impossible adventures. She probably wasn’t being fair to this man, but she hadn’t really expected this to go anywhere. She wasn’t sure, really, what she had expected.
Their conversation was cut short by a buzz from her phone.
“Sorry, excuse me,” she said. “Could be the hospital.”
But it wasn’t. It was him. She read his manic jumble of words, heart in her throat and panic rising:
“Hey, Scully, do you remember the case in Green Bank, WV where the teenagers were disappearing in the forest and coming out comatose? I know you said it was different from the Bellefleur case, but I was thinking it was 17 years ago and maybe there’s some connection—“
A second text followed: “to that other cyclical case, not Tooms, but the one with the masks in Kentucky? Maybe it’s connected to this Appalachian folklore about death in threes and a miner’s curse, but I was hoping you could come and take a look at some of these stories before I send out a few emails since it’s not far away.“
“Everything okay?” The man was looking at her, but she hardly noticed.
Oh, Mulder, she thought. She looked up at John or Jim or whatever his name was. Jason. “I’m sorry, I—“ Just then, another text popped up: “Can you come?”
“I think I’m going to have to cut the night short. It looks like there’s an emergency.”
Disappointment on his face. “Oh.”
She could be angry at this interruption. She could be annoyed at the way Mulder intruded on every attempt she made to extricate herself from what had seemed so toxic six months ago. But she wasn’t. He’d texted her. He’d reached a hand out, even a manic, desperate, digital hand. She was so, so grateful.
She texted back: “I’m on my way.”
_+_
An hour later she was in front of the house taking deep breaths in her car, still in what passed for a “date” outfit. He needed her and she’d come.
She found him where she expected to, in roughly the state she’d imagined. “Oh, Mulder, oh—“ she said when she saw him there, disheveled and dirty, the room so cluttered she could barely find him. “Mulder, what—“
His eyes moved up to hers, full of ghosts and glassy like fever. He was on the floor cross-legged, surrounded by open books and stacks of papers. She fell to her knees beside him and touched his forehead, ran her fingers through sweaty, greasy hair.
“You look so good, Scully,” he rasped.
There were tears pushing at her eyelids now. She took his hand and pulled him up. “Come here, Mulder, you need to get cleaned up.”
In the bathroom, she ran the shower hot and helped him with his clothes. “Will you be okay, or do you need help?” she asked as she nudged him toward the spray.
She could tell he wanted to make a joke, but he didn’t seem to have the energy. “I’ll be okay.”
Afterward, when he was toweled and dressed in a clean tee and flannel pants, she ran her hand along his jaw—he had almost a full beard again. “Mulder, have you shaved since I saw you last?”
“When was that?” He asked, innocent, oblivious.
“Three weeks ago,” she said. He frowned and shook his head. “Do you want to shave?”
He seemed a bit confused. “You don’t like it.”
She held both hands up to his beard now, letting the small, stiff hairs tickle her fingers. “I like it.”
He bent and rubbed his cheek against hers, which made her laugh like always. “You smell so fucking good, Scully.” His hands were under her sweater, and she knew she should pull away. She should check his medication, get him into bed, then get in her car and drive home where she could call him in the morning from a saner, more rational place. But she could feel herself pulled to him like a helpless magnet, caught in his gravitational pull, yoked like subatomic particles. He was all the forces at once, her unifying theory. She let him touch her breasts, let him bury his face against her neck and place hot, wet kisses there. When his hand went to her fly, though, she squeezed his forearm.
“Mulder,” she said, a warning.
“Please, Scully,” he growled. He pulled back to look at her, hooded eyes so full of anguish, so lost. “Stay.”
They were going about this the wrong way. This wasn’t any path to healing, only to desperate, short-lived comfort and a balm on the shame she’d been tamping down all night. But the way his hands felt on her skin was like rain on sun-parched grass and she was drinking him in against her better judgment. She pulled his mouth against hers and whispered into him, “Just tonight.”
He pulled her to their bed, and she caught herself thinking of it that way still—theirs. It would always be theirs. She couldn’t imagine that this separation would be permanent, and yet she could not be the one to fix it. She couldn’t demand that he love her as she needed to be loved. She couldn’t will him to choose her over the shadows. But all that was a conversation they’d already had, and one they would surely have again. For now she only wanted to feel him on her skin, inside her and surrounding every part of her. She needed him to wash away her guilt for leaving, even if it didn’t last. They writhed together in the cool of their bedroom, familiar hands and mouths finding well-known secret places. He filled her body and her senses. They claimed each other with every grip, every thrust, every groan muffled against a hot shoulder.
“Oh God, Scully, I love you,” he mumbled into her neck as he came, and she hitched a sob into the darkness at the unfairness of it all. Her tears wetted his chest and she came around him as he softened. They clung to each other like castaways on a life-raft, bucking against a storm.
In the morning, she left without a word.

Medium: 11, 12, 18 and 19 Hard: 1 and 9 Bonus: 1 and 2 ❤
I LOVE YOU❤
Medium:
11) Which drag daughter from the transformation episode do you think should of stayed in drag?
Well Nebraska actually did stay in drag so her I guess? I also think Cracker’s makeover in s10 could definitely do drag, and of course Sarge during the s9 makeover.
12) Who’s the most controversial queen?
Right now? Probably Eureka. Other than her I’d say Tyra.
18) Which queen shouldn’t of have stayed as long?
Personally I don’t think Cracker did anything exceptional to make it to top 5. Also Dida Ritz, she was sweet but girl those wigs and outfits. Raja said it best during FPR “Dida Ritz, she’s…still there”.
19) Favorite untucked episode?
Definitely “Here Comes the Bride”. Second place is “Tulle-gate”. Both such iconic drama.
Hard:
1) Which queen has changed you the most as a person?
Well obviously Raja and Raven! Both of them just exude such confidence and don’t take shit from anyone, its really made me want to mirror that. I used to be really socially anxious, and I still am a bit but ever since I started following them I’ve started to let go of that fear of what other people think of me. I used to be so concerned with being liked by everyone and now I don’t really care lol. Also I find I’ve started to care more about what I’m wearing. Its like their voices are in the back of my head when I’m getting ready saying “really girl? No” lol.
9) What is Ru’s worst EVER decision?
I would say as1 teams because why would you give us such an amazing cast and ruin it with teams, but I know it was because the network only allowed a certain number of episodes so I’ll give her a pass on that one. THE JURY in as3 for sure is it! I will never be over the complete robbery of Shangela not even getting to be a part of the final lip sync. She should’ve just picked the top 2 her damn self.
BONUS:
1) Which queen’s would you want to see lipsync against each other?
So many! Any combination of Chi Chi/Kennedy/Shangela/TKB, Laganja vs Alyssa would be EPIC. Morgan vs anyone because I just want to see her lip sync more, Alaska vs. Sharon (the drama), and of course Raja vs. Raven would probably be really hot…
2) Which lipsync disappointed you the most?
All of the lip syncs in the s10 finale. They were all a straight up MESS (except maybe Kam in Nasty Girl).
I Will Survive in s8 because that’s SUCH an iconic song and you could do so much with it. It would be so good for a Lip Sync for the Crown number! Also I Kissed a Girl on as3, it could’ve been so hot but Dela was trying too much and Shangie wasn’t into it and just looked awkward…

I’ll just go over all the details of the Reunion and Grand Finale here.
Spoilers, absolutely. This is about Rupaul's Drag Race S10, by the way. So I want to just cover a few things first.
Sasha looked sickening.
Shannel, Nina Flowers and Ongina all looked great.
*Bebe also looked pretty good but I’ve seen her recently in AS3 so.
There aren’t many season 10 queens who didn’t look good. Even then, it’s not the makeup or anything. Some of the outfits are just bland or don’t fit.
Top 4 all show up looking great.
As far as the lip syncs. Eh. Janet Jackson isn’t a favorite for me, and I feel like these weren’t as rewatchable as Sasha’s or basically anything Latrice Royale or Coco Montrese ever got their hands on.
They all showed up gimmicky, of course, because Sasha won that way and the other queens didn’t really have many stops to pull out.
Asia probably had the most creative and yet lackluster reveal. Yes, there were real butterflies. It was an idea. She tried. Nasty probably isn’t the right song for it.
Kameron just had a piece of fabric over a one peice and yeah, I guess I didn’t love or hate it. Just bleh.
Aquaria’s wasn’t my favorite. It was like a nude homage to Vivacious (can we get her on All Stars, by the way?) or Miss Fame. I guess it wasn’t....so bad. She probably could have avoided looking like a fucking burrito, though.
Eureka probably had the most typical yet crowd-pleasing gag. Wig under wig. Big ugly Grimmace fur suit over a pretty nice red thing? Then a body suit.  Eureka kills for someone her size, by the way. Kicking and splitting and doing whatever she was doing. I’m amazed.
So Asia is the only one eliminated because yeah. I mean, I guess in the end it should have been Aquaria v. Kameron, but Ru seems to have this thing for Eureka that I kind of admire because nah, I don’t hate her, either. I think she gets shit just like Ginger Minj did and I also think she’s funny and fucking capable of entertaining a crowd so fuck every last one of you hating bitches. Bring it to my inbox.
**ALSO JUST REMEMBERED YUHUA WAS STUN.**
In the end, Aquaria wins because she’s not only talented, but also the safe bet here. We don’t even want to remember how shook we all were when Shea Coulee didn’t win.
Also, I fully believe Ru could have picked Eureka, but she’s so wildly unpopular with fans. Kameron would have been unpopular due to her streak on the show.
Anyway, Aquaria wins and the version of me who posted the last thing I tagged as “RPDR” is very proud... because I was scared after I picked Shea to win in the beginning of S9 and she didn’t.
ALSO. I like how they changed the Miss C. voting to be by the queens. No more fan favorite, huh? I think we would have all voted Monet in, anyway though.
So now I want to explain the finale and the reunion. The reunion was filmed AFTER the Finale. This explains why The Vixen is so happy again (this did this last season, too which probably explains why Shea was so fucking done with it all.) I wish they would just play the reunion the way it’s filmed (after the finale) because I want to hear the thoughts on the winner. I guess in retrospect, it also makes sense why Asia is so snappy with Ru and why Aquaria is just shutting the fuck up over there.

Lol Vixen. It’s fucking true. She came to fight. She’s here to contest Phi Phi as the greatest villain of all time--no ma’am you wont beat her. But hey, I wish I was confident like Vixen--or should I say...cocky...
 Category: FEATHERS.
Blair: Okay...so like...she’s beautiful, but like...it’s just a dress...with...feathers attached? I’m getting...glamor chicken that looks....uh...tacky? meh toot.
Miz Cracker: TOOT. Clean design. Wonderful color. Love the bird’s nest on top the head. My one critique is the gold “cage” skirt needed more rigid shape and not flounce in my opinion. but love it.
Eureka: YASSS TOOOT. This is how you do evil feathers. THE LOAF IS BACK. Omg she glued a crow/raven to her arm lol
Vixen: toot...so I love how the gown is asymmetrical and wraps in an “un-traditional” way. My issue is the...hair... I think it would have been fiercer if she had long straight hair (like Chi Chi’s wig reveal look) OR a clean slickback with a bun with feathers coming out of it. But eh...toot.
MONIQUE: YASSSSSS. angelic white....love it. What a goddess.
Mayhem: love the pink feathers. It’s a lovely color. the contacts are a nice touch. but the open chest is very reminiscent of her first week look. the nude in the back...something about me feels like if it was open it would have been better. But I dunno lol. toot.
Dusty: I’m conflicted. Because I love it. But I also hate it. It makes sense to me. but it feels disjointed. The Hair doesn’t work...yet it does... The make up is pretty great...but like...it’s not matching the feathers. I’m gonna toot it. But its strange lol.
Kameron: HOLY SHIT. SHOOT. q.q this is amazing. What an amazing outfit. Good stuff. She may not be a huge character, but this look is everything q.q
Monet: meh toot. boring. here’s the thing...I get it. but the “two-piece” element is throwing me off. Not bad. But meh. Neck up is perfect as always tho.
ASIA: OMG. I’m dead. THIS IS HILARIOUS. I LOVE IT. TOOT.
Yuhua: okay so like I love this. Not necessarily original. BUT it’s cohesively good. It’s campy. It’s beautiful. TOOT.
Aquaria: NOW THIS IS GOOD SHIT. Cohesively unique. A dead bird. YASSSSSS. TOOT.
End of Days: 8/10. Miz cracker stood out the most to me. Eureka was also lovely to watch.
Fibster: uh.... 6/10. Kameron...was so-so. Mayhem disappeared and had practically nothing. Dusty and Monique did pretty well. The concept wasn’t as clear as End of Days...
Butterface: okay....ASIA....I love you. This was what I was waiting for! OKAY BUT BRYCE STROKING AQUARIA’s nose is everything. Yuhua...my fave failed me q.q . But she got to fuck with a blow-up doll. uh...7/10.
No Carson...no. Michelle was right this time.
MAKE ASIA WIN. PLZ.
-.- okay...I’m over this...call out my bias...but whatever... oh no...Yuhua is going home q.q ...
Ru sounds...sick lol
-.-
ASIA WON. YES.
MY GURL YUHUA IS GOING HOME q.q
Mayhem looks like she about to kill a bitch...and she did. At least Yuhua did her best q.q
“YUHUA YOU GONNA REMEMBER ME.” I DO GURL. I LOVE YOU. SLAY. WO YE AI NI! (I love you too).
q.q so my team didn’t win again...I knew it...but she went home earlier q.q . Vanessa is gone. Yuhua is gone. MONIQUE I’M ROOTING FOR YOU. MAKE IT TO TEH END GURL. PLZ.
OTHER NOTES:
So vixen is right. Aquaria was destroyed in Untucked (a la her outfit). Vixen is extra, but unapologetically so. I respect that. But she’s a retaliatory queen. Don’t fight if you don’t want to get put together. Don’t dish what you can’t take. Vixen was on point the entire time--very aware. Can I be Vixen so I can actually fight my own battles for once? Lol.
Monique staring at Mayhem and Kameron talking on the side. 0 . 0 shooketh.

So yesterday evening it was officially announced:
GOTHAM GOT RENEWED FOR ITS FINAL SEASON!
Tumblr media
So like I’ve done with other announced projects, here’s my list of things that I want to happen in Gotham’s final season.
S4 SPOILERS ABOUND!
Since S5 is gonna be a soft reboot of the show that has more Batman elements, have Bruce be the main character and focus of the last season.  Don’t actually have him don the Batsuit unless there’s a time skip at the end of the series finale.
Focus on the power struggles that the rogues’ gallery has during No Man’s Land, especially Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Jeremiah.  I’m expecting a couple team-ups, especially concerning Penguin.
Have Ed realize that not every attractive girl he meets has to be a romantic interest.  Just because he can’t get any doesn’t mean that the audience has to suffer for it.  So, with that, have him meet and recruit Query and Echo.
More character development for Ecco!  Personally, I kind of see her as a comparison to Mercy Graves from Superman TAS so highlight her skills as Jeremiah’s bodyguard and her snarkiness.  Going along with the comparison, maybe drop some heavy-ass implications that she and Jeremiah have more than just a professional relationship.
Don’t actually introduce the Harleen Quinzel that we all know.  As much as everyone loves the idea of introducing the actual Harley to the show, A) it would be a hassle to develop her as a character and B) I honestly can’t see Jeremiah with his own Harley.  He’s too focused on his own wants and needs plus he has Ecco.  The writers can, however, homage Harley through Ecco but not go completely overboard with it.
Don’t kill any of the villains off.  I think the only character I could see dying in the final season is Barbara but I think that might be stretching it.
If Barbara does die, she’s either gonna A) die in a blaze of glory and gunfire along side Tabitha or B) die in Jim’s arms.  Because bookends gotta bookend.
Use!  The!  Bat-Signal!
Have Bruce in his proto-Batsuit start interrogating criminals and trying out numerous Batman voices.  This could also jumpstart his reputation as an unknown masked vigilante but won’t be given a name until he dons the Batsuit.
Don’t resolve the No Man’s Land storyline until the end of the series finale (and before a time skip to properly introduce Batman).  Don’t pussyfoot it like the writers did with the Demon!Dean arc in the beginning of S10 of “Supernatural.”  The writers should use all 13 episodes to fully flesh out the scenario and how other characters respond to it.
Bring back Harvey Dent!
Please God do NOT kill off Jeremiah!  Cameron Monaghan is a godsend to this show and to kill off one of his characters yet again would be criminal!
The costume department should go to freaking town for this last season.  Have the rogues’ gallery don more and more of their well-known oufits and homage past and future outfits (especially from the past TV shows and the New 52).  Also, since this is No Man’s Land, have characters wear the same outfits for days on end.  Since Gotham is essentially closed off from the rest of the country and the world, they can’t get any new clothes or money in order to make new clothes.
To reflect the No Man’s Land scenario, play modern songs that reflect the mood and tone set.  The orchestral score by David Russo should be especially creepy and ominous as well.
Focus on the “companion” villains, especially Butch/Grundy and Victor Zsasz, breaking away and starting to make a reputation on their own as independent villains.
More focus on Jim working together with Bruce/Proto-Batman and his relationship with the city of Gotham
So that’s my list!  Feel free to message me for any comments or your own ideas on how S5 is gonna go!

Twice Upon a Time
Right so I’m going to start off with a lot of Doctor-y stuff before I get to my usual yelling about the episode. Also surprise surprise it got a lil bit long so the yelling will be under a cut
Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d say: I’m glad Moffat was given one extra last episode to do. Why? Bombastic Moffat really isn’t my thing. At all. And so The Doctor Falls was....fine? But I’m glad it wasn’t Twelve’s swansong. Moffat does held-back a lot better, at least to me. And so I’m glad we got this quieter ep, Twelve dealing with his future while being presented with his past, and then dealing with the Captain and Testimony. There wasn’t much to it but I much preferred it that way. I also really liked that it wasn’t an Evil Villain™, I think Twelve was disappointed that he couldn’t keep the distraction up, putting off dealing with his future (#relatable) and I love how we see at the end Twelve makes a change to help save one extra person. It’s what I would expect from the Doctor but it does show how far he’s come since s8. He’s openly kinder and softer and he’d not keeping up a facade any more. This change was pretty much established by s9 but it was still nice to see, especially with the direct connection to Into the Dalek we got this episode.
Now since we’re talking about the Doctor, I have to talk about One, one of my favourite Doctors who I truly adore. And I’m going to try not to make this about...........The Problem. I’ve talked about the ~casual chauvinism~ and why it wasn’t One already (here and here and here and here) and @thefirstintimeandspace has said a lot more that is much better written so I don’t want everything I say about One here to be about that but just know I’m Mightily Annoyed And Unhappy and think the decision was really lazy writing. THAT BEING SAID, David Bradley did a wonderful job with what he was given. In terms of being a note-for-note imitation it wasn’t perfect, definitely could have done with a few twinkly Hartnell chuckles in my book, but the vast majority of the time the heart(s) in the acting was right. I liked how we saw the First Doctor scared of this first change. I mean the whole idea of it must have been terrifying! I felt devastated when he saw what Testimony showed about his future and then his final conversation with Twelve almost made me tear up. And his talk with Bill about looking for the truth in the stars, trying to find how goodness prevails, was absolutely wonderful. That’s not to say it made up for the character disservice and it makes me sad there may be people put off watching his era because of that, but there was a lot of good.
And now Peter. Oh Peter. The first episode I ever watched live was The Time of the Doctor. I thought it was an awful episode and so in my heart the first live episode I saw was Deep Breath but Twelve has been the only Doctor I’ve followed from week to week. So not only will I miss the character I love and Peter’s consistently superb acting but it’s the end of an era for me. I’m so excited for Thirteen (she’s keeping her accent we’re getting another Northern Doctor!!) but there there is definitely a Twelve-shaped hole in my heart. “Doctor, I let you go”. What perfect final lines. After he said this I had to pause the ep just to give myself a couple of minutes to let go too. In fact, the whole final speech (though Moff dude why are you so obsessed with the Doctor’s name) was wonderful. I’m just really going to miss him. A lot. Thanks Peter.
Ok general yelling below the cut:
actual clips from The Tenth Planet!!
LOVE! HATE! HAVE YOU NO EMOTIONS?
lol though surely they could have found someone shorter than Polly to play Ben?
and got a wig for Polly that didn’t look like it was from poundland?
oh well it was only brief
‘your face it’s all over the place’
the this is my nurse joke would have worked so much better if the hadn’t continued
'obviously polly isn’t around any more’ 'in dire need of a good spring clean’ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(ok that’s it just assume my angry screaming applied to every sexist First Doctor moment)
One: *mentions the french*    me: nice reign of terror reference!!!!
THE DOCTOR’S THEME!!
also I’ve been listening to the unreleased soundtrack for this ep while writing this (thank you magic music people) and there’s All The Strange Strange Creatures! Doomsday! Eleven’s Theme!
a farewell tour of sorts for Murray Gold I suppose :(
BILL MY LOVE!!!!!!
I’m so happy we get to see her one last time!!
(even if it’s not QUITE her)
Bill and Pearl were so wonderful and deserved to be in the show for longer but alas
I’ll really miss Bill she and Twelve made such a fantastic team
yes One! notice that asymmetry!
why didn’t Testimony just tell the Doctors that they collect memories?
I mean that would have just got rid of the plot and Twelve probably wouldn’t have believed them I suppose
MARY BERRY!
ONE’S TARDIS!! complete with assorted furniture and ornaments :’)
I like how one wall was still different but not just a flat wall with roundels printed on lol
(shoutout to one of my posts I linked to earlier)
CORPORAL JONES!
glad to know Twelve has watched Dad’s Army
lol well I can’t say I had expected Rusty to be back for Twelve’s final ep but I’m not complaining
'you’re the first Dalek to ever get naked for me’ was NOT something I needed to hear
so if Bill is part of Testimony then there are two Bills?
and actual non-memory Bill doesn’t know that Twelve’s alive?
also does this mean that Testimony can just.....reconstruct literally anyone who has died?
also speaking of extraction at the moment of death I wonder how this worked for Clara?
was her Testimony extraction before or after Twelve extracted her?
we can just add this to Metacrisis Ten and the gangers in the whole ‘this is the real me! I remember everything!’ theme
Lethbridge-Stewart!!
the moustache should have been a giveaway
also this is extra nice since I’ve now finally met the Brig in my Classic Who watch
I love stories about the Christmas truce it’s one of my favourite historical things
‘impeccable dress sense’
(I actually have a post somewhere in my drafts where I was attempting to humourously document Twelve’s range of outfits lol I should find that)
CLARA!!!!
I WAS ALREADY EMOTIONAL FROM TWELVE AND ONE’S CONVERSATION THIS TIPPED ME OVER THE EDGE
AND THEN NARDOLE ROCKS UP AND TWELVE COMPLAINS ABOUT IT BEING WORSE THAN DYING WHATTA MOOD I’M LAUGHING
(I was actually surprised that I was happy to see Nardole again and then he had to ruin it by talking about nipples thanks I really didn’t need that)
'invisible hair’ was that from the fan show or had it been something in s10??? I can’t remember
just one more life won’t hurt, Twelve, and it’ll do the universe a world of good
the score during Twelve’s final speech is Breaking the Wall which is one of my absolute favourites and jUST MAKING IT MORE EMOTIONAL
THIRTEEN IS HERE AND THE TARDIS IS ON FIRE AND CRASHING AND IT’S BRILLIANT
Doctor, I let you go. And I can’t wait to see what your next self brings.

Note
rory williams, micky smith, danny pink, captain jack for the character thing
so i am rly bitter i just lost all my answers for these bc my computer froze but anyway i love you and i will do it again
Why I like them: he’s so loving to his wife and considerate and brave but he doesn’t need everyone to know that he’s content how he is
Why I don’t: his whole “i love you more than you love me” thing um every time moffat does smthg like that to rory i lose a year of my life
Favorite episode (scene if movie): the girl who waited i think
Favorite season/movie: 5!!
Favorite line: i’d forgotten that not all victories are about saving the universe:
Favorite outfit: centurion outfit duh
OTP: amy/rory
Brotp: rory/doctor
Head Canon: he and captain jack (and other friends of the doctor) became friends during the time he spent waiting for amy
Unpopular opinion: him coming back to life all the time isn’t actually that funny (it was okay) it was just bad writing
A wish: that maybe i see him again before we finish s10??
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: pls don’t let moffat ruin his characterization if he ever does come back
5 words to best describe them: the love of my life
My nickname for them: roranicus
mickey smith: (i’m bitter this deleted bc i had the BEST RESPONSE)
Why I like them: he ultimately gave up the girl he loved and left home to stay in a parallel world bc he finally found his true purpose in life and even though he wasn’t always the best boyfriend to rose he did his best to do right by her and he deserves the world
Why I don’t: this is so hard?? i guess how he treated the shop girl he dated when rose left
Favorite episode (scene if movie): hm i quite like boom town but i’d have to say rise of the cybermen/age of steel
Favorite season/movie: s1
Favorite line:You left me! We were nice, we were happy. And then what? You give me a kiss and you run off with him, and you make me feel like nothing, Rose. I was nothing. I can’t even go out with a stupid girl from a shop because you pick up the phone and I comes running. I mean, is that what I am, Rose, standby? Am I just supposed to sit here for the rest of my life, waiting for you? Because I will. (DISCLAIMER: not his best moment, but one of his most compelling and interesting ones)
Favorite outfit: hm. his UNIT one?? i liked that one
OTP: mickey/martha to the death
Brotp: him/doctor, him/jack, him/rose, although i think nine/mickey and also mickey/jackie are my faves
Head Canon: him and jackie became rly close while rose was gone and he became something like a son to her and cared for her all the time even though she thought he murdered rose once
Unpopular opinion: i think he is one of the best characters ever to come out of doctor who. i also think he was good since the very first episode, he didn’t even grow into it. his arc is absolutely amazing and his sense of self worth makes me want to cry. he treated rose well even when he was hurting, and though he could have done better, he didn’t purposefully guilt her into anything. he’s such a compelling, relatable character
A wish: that ppl would appreciate him more. also that he and rose still found some way to keep in touch when they were in different universes (I KNOW BUT LET A GIRL DREAM)
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: don’t forget him?? he’s so important.
5 words to best describe them: underrated, underrated, underrated, underrated, underrated
My nickname for them: rickey or tin dog (ik i suck)
danny pink:
Why I like them: he was a caring guy who was great with the kiddies.
Why I don’t: he didn’t get enough screen time and he gave clara a lot of ultimatums (they should have been better to each other)
Favorite episode (scene if movie): dark water i guesS?
Favorite season/movie: hahahaha 9 (jkjk)
Favorite line: “one person is more amazing than universes”
Favorite outfit: in the forest of the night
otp: oswink i s’pose
brotp: him/doctor ig…. honestly the relationship was shafted bc of the dumb “i hate soldiers” arc
Head Canon: his soul lived on post death in heaven and that he managed to find peace within himself
Unpopular opinion: he had potential but he was too rory-like and underdeveloped and steven moffat did his character dirty when he had a lot to offer
A wish: that he could have been what was promised
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: don’t bring him back moffat he’s the only character you left dead
5 words to best describe them: caring, intelligent, affectionate, loving, brave
My nickname for them: dan the soldier man
captain jack:
Why I like them: what’s not to like honestly?? he’s brave, he’s redeemable, he’s strong, he’s caring, he’s pan (omnisexual technically)
Why I don’t: idk i p much always liked him haha
Favorite episode (scene if movie): boom town yo
Favorite season/movie: s1
Favorite line: Being here, I’ve seen things I never dreamt I’d see. Loved people I never would have known if I just stayed where I was. And I wouldn’t change that for the world.
Favorite outfit: his outfit in boom town i think??
OTP: i hear jack/ianto is great, but i’ve always been fond of rose/doctor
Brotp: him/doctor, him/rose, him/mickey, him/martha,
Head Canon: he and martha stayed in touch :’) also that even though he was devastated abt getting left behind, he still helped ppl bury the dead and console the living
Unpopular opinion: he’s not that hot??? also john barrowman isn’t great lol (i do love his line on dw confidential when he teared up abt the show tho)
A wish: he and jenny met up (whispers meekly: go read jenny returns on ff.net my user is danahscott and i think you might like it??)
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: don’t get decapitated (too LATE)
5 words to best describe them: cheeky, funny, cocky, slytherin, smart
My nickname for them: captain cheesecake
send me a character!!
