kou and you running into your ex

pairing: kou ichijo x gn!reader

tags: fluff, comfort, unnamed ex, implied bad break up

in a small town like inaba, it was impossible to avoid certain people

even if you had hoped to never see your ex again, you still ran into them, whether you liked it or not

however, you were lucky that kou was by your side while you ran into them, knowing it could've been worse if you had been by yourself

as your ex approached you, kou immediately grabbed your hand

not to show off that he was the one you were with now, but to reassure you and let you know that he was there for you

there was no need to get anxious, with kou by your side, ready to defend you

kou is the one doing most of the talking too, letting your ex know you two are dating now, without sounding cocky about it

he tries to keep the conversation short and the moment you two are alone again, you thank kou for helping you out

but he just smiles and kisses your forehead, telling you that protecting you is his job as your boyfriend!

Takuma is in love with Kaname

We all know that Takuma and Kaname have been friends ever since Kaname went to live with him and Ichio. Takuma stuck to his side through thick and thin, even after learning his true nature. The main reason Sara takes him from the Council wreckage is to gather intel on Kaname, manipulate them both, and because she was jealous of Takuma's devotion to Kaname.

Vampire Knight Chapter 85:

Takuma's heart was never captured by Sara. She was talking about Kaname. She's been trying to convince Takuma that Kaname has just been manipulating him this whole time, just like she has.

After Kaname takes over as the parent metal, Takuma spends his time guarding him. Takuma is always pictured with lots of books, and is said to read to Kaname (he's literally the cutest what the heck), and even is accused of giving Ren manga to read.

Vampire Knight Memories Chapter 15:

He said he loves him... "that FRIEND of mine"... To which Hanabusa is jealous (I'm convinced Hanabusa had a thing for Kaname AND Yuuki, and honestly the majority of the night class was WHIPPED for Kaname) Hanabusa then remarks on how Takuma is still single to which Takuma says that he was betrothed once but (to his relief) she married someone else. Also Hanabusa's wording is very gender-nonspecific which I find interesting.

And the Pièce de résistance:

Right here he's saying that he believes that Kaname's relationship with him was sincere (from his heart, which is a reoccurring motif in VK that often means true or sincere love), and that others may think it's just manipulation. He doesn't care. His love and devotion to Kaname has always been natural to him. (I was personally biased while reading this as well and had taken "I always thought it was friendship, but I don't care either way." as him saying he didn't care if it was love or friendship. But bruh with all the hints, how could I not.) Also him leaning against the crystal JUST LIKE YUUKI???

And then this PULLING AT MY HEART STRINGS--

Vampire Knight Memories Chapter 26:

Takuma's just this single old vampire that works in a book store (kept a record for Kaname all these years) and comes to see Human Kaname in his little coffee shop????? Don't touch me, it's canon, it has to be.

in the process of building a house. out of all of the house makers, Ichijo (一条工務店）seems to have the best balance of quality vs design vs price. we are going to proceed with signing a tentative contract so we can begin looking for land.

I'm not sure if fear outweighs excitement in this case.
