how you two met

you were sitting on the edge of the cliff.

you were looking at the sunset with an empty look in your eyes until you felt a soft

chuckle and someone sitting next to you.

you quickly looked beside you, it was a boy wearing green clothing.

he smiled and gave you his hand ; “I’m venti, you?” he asked, biting an apple.

“mhmm.. I’m [name].” you replied, he stood up and asked you ;

“pretty name. want me to show you around ? you don’t look like you’re

from here.. ehe !!” he asked, giving you one of his hands to help you stand up.

you gave him a smile and then stood up with the help of his hand.

you two walked around and around the city and explored every corner of the land.

late at night, you two were sitting on grass, next to each other.

he has a tired face expression and he rested his head on your shoulder, closing his eyes shut.

you couldn’t help but close your eyes too.

a few years went by, and you had developed feelings for him but you never had a chance to tell him.

you were sitting next to him at the tavern , he was completely drunk.

“mm… [name] , can you help me with something?” he asked, you replied with a small “mhm??”

“well.. there’s actually someone I like, and.. I don’t really know how to confess to them hehe..”

you gulped.

you were nervous, he already had someone in mind. but you were happy as long as he was happy.

so you helped him, with a forced smile.

“well, who is it?” you tried to stay calm as possible.

he came closer and whispered into your ear

“traveller !!” he whispered and let out a small giggle.

you were upset. you knew it was wrong to be upset but you couldn’t control it.

“uhm..I’m…im gonna go home.” you said, trying to not let tears flow out.

you tried to distance yourself from him, not wanting your feelings to grow.

it’s been about two weeks, you prayed that venti wouldn’t notice.

early in the morning, you were awoken by a knock on the door.

you went to open it, it was venti holding a bouquet of flowers,

smiling happily.

“good morning ~ I came here to ask something.” he completely ignored you and walked

into your home.

“wow.. your place is pretty neat.” he commented,

sitting on your bed.

“you can’t just come in here as you please, broke bard !!” you replied,

venti put the flowers on the table.

“why have you been avoiding me ? have I done something wrong?” he asked,

with adorable eyes.

“n..no.” you nervously replied as you laid your eyes on the flowers, face red.

venti cupped your cheeks, making you turn your face to him.

smiling and teasing you in a playful voice.

“archons !! ~ your face is so red !!” you tried your hardest to

look away in an embarrassed way.

“alsooooo ~”

“travelers going to come stay in mondstadt for a while !!

isnt that exciting?? i can finally have a chance to confess !!”

you had an empty look on your face again, you were pissed.

but tried your hardest to keep a smile.

“well.. let’s go outside and talk to her then.”

he was happily holding your hand while hopping and walking,

while you had a headache and let out a long sigh.

there she was, the blonde attracting everyone’s attention.

venti immediately let go of your hands to run to her happily,

screaming out her name while you watched in jealousy.

venti ran to hug her with a smile on his face.

they hung out the whole day, and the worst part was you had to watch your crush

act clingy with another woman.

when you felt left out from the attention he was only giving to her, he would

call out your name happily and encourage you to smile more.

but when lumine was temporarily going to liyue, you and him were alone.

sitting at the roof of your house together.

then, venti came closer to you and kissed your cheek, an “ehe” was followed after.

you blushed.

the next day you saw a letter on your table, reading

“[name] ~~~~ come see me at the windrise tree !! i need to practice

my confession for lumi !!”

you sighed and then you went to the tree.

“ah , youre here, lumine.” he said.

“there’s something I need to tell you.”

“I’ve had these feelings for a while now and..”

there was something in his colorful eyes that

you needed. something about his personality and his adorable looks

that made you fall in love with him.

you sighed heavily, but him being happy made you happy, so you went along.

there was nothing you can do anymore, if he was happy, then you let him find his happiness.

and that piece of happiness was not you being with him, it was lumine.

it was late at night, you were sitting alone on the place that you and venti met.

until you got a phone call.

it was from venti

you sighed but in a joyful way.

“hello? what’s wrong , venti?”

“behind you.”

you looked behind and saw him, holding a bouquet of cecelias.

you blushed, you were surprised

he came to sit next to you.

“how did the confession with lumine go? are you two..”

your sad tone of voice came back.

“together now..?”

he closed his eyes with a smile,

“actually..”

“well.. I don’t know how to tell you this but you’ll understand.”

he kissed you as your eyes widened in shock, blushing.

“what ?! what about.. lumine??”

“ehe.. there was no lumine. actually..

after lumine left, I started feeling different for you.”

he was on his serious side.

he handed you the bouquet of cecelias, asking a genuine question.

you had a surprised face.

just as you were about to tell him about your feelings, he stopped you.
