Finishing ISAT was an experience.

I played through all of Act 5 on my projector setup in the early morning before starting work and it was pretty crabbing intense.

Like, I was getting this whole nightmare cut while bathed in irl darkness.

And then and then, getting past that sequence and seeing the friends jump in for the save coincided with the sun actually rising outside.

The sunlight causes the contrast to fade in the the last pic I took, which if anything enhanced the atmosphere of the intervention saving lil' Siffy.

Cannot overstate how emotionally impactful this whole sequence was. 10/10 use of the color red.

Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle is supposed to be a movie about the long-awaited showdown match between eternal rivals Karasuno Vs. Nekoma, but the truth is it's really a love letter tribute to Nekoma and a beautiful sendoff to the best match they ever played. Karusuno may have won the game, but it is the players of Nekoma who are the protagonists of this chapter of the story.

Nostalgic, right-in-the-feels stuff, all the members had their moment and I am soft! Highly encourage a big-screen viewing because the volleyball gets served way, WAY high! Even if you aren't already a fan of Nekoma you'll still come out of this movie entertained. And since it's hitting movie screens in more countries than your usual niche anime movie, it's a chance not to be missed.

Bonus: I went for a fan screening that came with a 33.5 bonus booklet and it is my favorite thing ever because it has pages with Furudate's chicken scratches and I live to see such drafts honestly because nothing like feeling your art level is finally on par with the pros; so inspired, ahahaha!

Yknow I'm glad they made the armor sfx a bit louder for Elden Ring but I still miss how fucking loud your armor was in Dark Souls 1

hhh found some photos of old disney trips from several years back and it just made me really sad that the parks are nothing like what they were back then anymore. i still feel like it was probably best in the 90s and early 2000s (from what i've seen in videos documenting that time frame, and from the few trips my fam went on as well), but i ended up visiting more often in the 2010s and i still really enjoyed it;;

i miss walking around and just drinking in the atmosphere and theming honestly. sucks that its a mess now and you're paying so dang much for lackluster quality and there's no room for spontaneous flexibility within your visit because of the stupid genie+ app and insane wait times for Everything. the fact that there's no real "off season" anymore because it's Always Busy is a terrible reality as well. *sigh*

i love when a video game has mastery over its ambience 😩

#i’m talking fallout dishonored bioshock resident evil etc. #indie games like oxenfree and edith finch #the environment lives and breathes and knows what its about #a curated and intentional ambience is guaranteed immersion (for me at least) #lis is what reminded me of this. that game has many manyyy flaws but it keeps its atmosphere very centered it knows what it wants u to feel #in each location via color and clutter and haze and lighting and ambient sounds and music + lack of #it’s very easy to produce cookie cutter video games and i jst think the first step towards setting them apart is environment #like mass effect excels at ambience and is like the gold standard in this regard imo #which is why it stands out SO much in the scifi genre its become almost a league of its own #anyways. rambling again #anyways.txt #delete later
