Do you know what Zhongli describes as erosion which is also the primary reason why Ei wanted to make an immortal body for herself? Everything that it encompasses from the wear and tear of time and the unnatural void / abyssal presence that came to Teyvat with the Second Who Came, the delusions which affect even fallen gods (I'd dare to say that Orobashi is the most graphic example we could find in this regard).

While the same in essence, I think that what would suit Dain best would be withering and the Inteyvat could be the perfect metaphor for this. This flower that is so pure-looking grows against all odds given the environmental circumstances of Khaenri'ah for lacking sun and being very close to the Abyss and despite everything it won't ever be tainted. You can pluck it and take it with you away from Khaenri'ah and it'll harden and will never wither (this could allude to Dain's immortality). To focus on him now, he's enduring the passage of time against his will, he has to be on edge at all times because he runs the risk to fall further into the corruption he bears and there is a curse that slowly but surely is making its way into his mind and soul, thus it will eventually change him too.

For better or for worse, he has all the knowledge anyone could want at his disposal and he understands fate well to the point that he can foresee what is going to happen. Enduring all of this plus other trepidations (mainly the Abyss Order) is withering him, until he becomes virtually nonexistent and fade to ashes as the Inteyvat would if it were to return to Khaenri'ahn soil. As it's said, the Keeper is fading away. I'm sure there are many emotions involved in this but this is what I think that suits him the most. He is in an endless fight against himself due to his physical chronic pain but also his mind which he, too, can experience negative emotions towards himself for multiple reasons and these can be extremely heightened if they aren't kept under control and the curse itself to retain his sense of self (which is a miracle that he kept thus far, something that by norm shouldn't have happened but he did) for as long as he can until he loses himself.

Sight: How is your muse’s sleeping schedule? Do they have a regular sleeping pattern, or if not, do they even want to have one? Does your muse sleep easily, or prefer to be awake for as long as they possibly can?

Sleep is a problem to him if we start off with the premise that sleep is associated with night. This is due to 2 main reasons: 1) the abyssal presence grows stronger during nighttime and so the Abyss Order presumably does. For all we know, Dain is someone that the Abyss Order would rather run away from but at the same time, they could pose just as much of a big threat to him as he is to them if he's caught with his guard down unless he can count with a safe haven that allows him to rest without worrying about this. 2) Following the same premise as before, he is corrupted which makes his sensitivity to the void higher (this is shown with his acute smelling sense in regards of the void) but he is also cursed, which makes him suffer from physical chronic pain as I mentioned earlier. Moreover, he has a tendency for having nightmares because of his sense of survivor guilt and overall what happened in Khaenri'ah but also nightmares that are heightened due to the curse and made significantly worse in such a way that one would rather not sleep at all.

These factors make it hard for him to get quality sleep, but he still manages to keep himself in a good state somehow which means that he must've found a good balance of staying awake but also of sleeping whenever he needs it— and for what he is doing, he surely needs it lest he's caught in a vulnerable way. To him, having a regular sleeping pattern would be ideal but something that he can't have due to his own circumstances. Despite of everything, he still manages to be well even after 500 years.
