Sometimes I think… what’s with Barbatos just casually adopting some of the most powerful beings in the realms to exist??

Like, first we have Solomon right? He gets summoned, this kid on the floor on the verge of death, and he’s like. Hm… fair enough. Got no choice but to adopt you. Takes him to fountain of knowledge and all and makes a pact before or after since we don’t know. And let me say, he knew this this boy is boutta be the most powerful sorcerer to exist before he was summoned and all of that happened, so it’s not like he didn’t know.

Then we have Diavolo and honestly the most funniest one here. Visiting his future son from time to time, all fun and giggles until the lil guy thought he could lock him up. He also had some real dedication because Dia also used some so special tea leaves to blackmail him. And guess what? Barbatos first impression was: Cute. A cute lil child. That’s the entire reason my guy decided to adopt the next Demon King (probably not the entire reason still) and we can also see how Barbatos has to do every teeny thing for Diavolo and how much of a father he is to him so we can see the point here it’s pretty obvious

You thought that was it? Nope. Next we have guess who? Luke. Luke?? You thinking, sure they do have an adopted father-son relationship, also the first demon who Luke admitted to not minding spending time with, and all but- nuh uh. I’ll just quickly quote:

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re trying to kill the thing.” Katsumi turned his head to see his adopted father, Doppo, stand in the doorway. “Something on your mind?”

Katsumi sighed before he gave his dad a slight smile. “You got me… it’s about (your name).”

Doppo clicked his tongue. His son has been enamored with that woman since childhood and he still hasn’t confessed… it was kind of depressing.

“What is it this time?” Katsumi sighed at his dad’s question before he tried to give a reading smile.

“Her and I have known each other for so long… I’ve like- no. I can see a future with her. Marriage and kids, the whole nine yards!” Katsumi shook his head and sighed. “I’ve loved her for years and yet… I don’t feel like I’m enough-“

“Katsumi. You’re running the Shinshinkai dojo at your age and you’re quite successful. You’re not bad on the eyes either.” Doppo chuckled. “So why don’t you feel like enough?”

“It’s Jack Hanma and Hanayama Kaoru… I’m not as big as they are-“

Doppo loudly laughed at his son’s plight. He was worried over height? Goodness, this was so cute, it was pathetic. “Katsumi, you will live your entire life regretting not telling her you love her.”

Katsumi froze when Doppo put his hand on his son’s shoulder. “And I don’t want you to be unhappy.”

Katsumi gave his dad a slight smile. “Thanks, dad. I’ll confess.”

Katsumi beamed when (your name) arrived to the cafe he invited her to. The Karateka quickly shot up from his chair and embraced her in a hug, his muscular form easily picked her up to swing her legs back and forth. His heart fluttered at (your name)’s joyful giggles.

“You act as if we haven’t seen each other in months when it’s only been a week!” (Your name) gave Katsumi a bright smile, the same smile that always made his knees weak. Katsumi burned her sunny image into his memory.

(Your name) felt a blush crawl on her cheeks from how intense Katsumi’s gaze was. “D-do I have something on my face? You know you can tell me those sorts of things…”

Katsumi chuckled but gave her his signature smirk. “No, you’re just beautiful.”

Katsumi felt his chest swell with pride when her face turned into a shade of cherry red. How cute!

“You’re stupid…” Katsumi and (your name) moved to the table as they went over their menu together. They were childhood friends so there was no awkwardness, only playful banter. The kind that sailed more smoothly than any ship. The two of them were perfect together… and Katsumi just needed her to see that.

Katsumi sucked in a deep breath before he placed his menu down. “You’re probably wondering why I invited you here so suddenly…”

Katsumi’s pupils were dilated and his breathing was irregular, he was telling the truth… how could she not see it before?

So I kept putting it off, I was hopeful to show my strength to you. That I was capable of protecting you from everything evil in this world… that I could provide you with whatever you need. It’s why I worked so hard to make the dojo better.”

(Your name) sat there as Katsumi continued to ramble, his face became redder by the minute. “I tried to forget it, but I couldn’t. There’s others that love you too, and I told myself that I’d be happy if you were… but that’s a lie.” Katsumi glanced up at (your name) who remained as still as water. “I would only ever be if you were with me. I don’t want to share you with any other man. I’d go mad if you had a child with another man or called him your husband… so I’m here today to tell you how I feel. I had to tell you or else I would regret it.”

Katsumi reached forward and held her hand. “So what do you say? Is this all one sided-“

Katsumi was surprised when (your name) leaned across the table and pressed a kiss to his hooked nose.

“Katsumi, I like you too.” (Your name) smiled at him. “Why do you think I was rejecting so many guys over the years?”

Katsumi froze before a dreamy smile crawled on his lips. The young man quickly went around the table to pull her into a hug.

The two laughed while Katsumi swung her around. He was so happy… he was so happy (your name) chose him.

There was no telling what extremes he was willing to go for her to say yes… her acceptance just made the entire situation that much easier! He swore he’d make her happy…

If only the two turned to glance out the cafe’s window to see a brooding Jack Hanma out there. And he was not happy.

My brain is always about Chaotic demon in disguise character child reader with the gang (platonic ofc!) Like Reader loves Caine and always show affection towards him, Always drawing him and reader together, saying that they want to be like Caine when they grow up, with the most cute expression they have... However, when Caine turns his back to Reader, Reader will go full hostile mode with the others. like Reader will pull the most terrifying shark teeth smile to the others. Since their character is a demon i hope its okay if i say that Reader has some demon abilities (if not you can just cut this part off)

Example: if Ragatha tries to strike an conversation with reader, reader will go like "#@-4 you." Cutting Ragatha off without even looking at her in the eyes

You spent most of your time with Caine. You acted like a second Bubble in the way that you're never really seen without him. And he thought you were just a little angel. You would act all cute around him doing basic kid things like drawing something for him. Sure you can't even color in the lines but is clearly full of love so he loved it. And acting all hyper around him. So he started to adopt a more paternal feel towards you sometimes acting like an actual father. "You have to eat your veggies if you want to grow up bit and strong!" "But I don't even need to eat! And I don't get older here. Why do I still have to eat veggies :(" But being the controller of that entire realm he can be quite busy so he will eventually have to leave you alone. The others (probably Ragatha and Pomni) having saw how you constantly act with Caine come up to you asking if they can keep you company till Caine comes back. Only for you to turn around and have a :| face. Ragatha asks if your ok only to receive a s*#$ eating grin and a mischievous little giggle. "Oh I'm fine. Great actually! But Pomni be careful when you next go in your room. Their's a... Present... Yeah that's it. A present waiting for you." You say that freaking Pomni out. That's the first thing you say to her?! You smile at the two then run off to cause some more problems. You love Caine but you can't cause chaos like you want when he's around. From that day those two know to avoid you a bit, the others have to learn the hard way sadly. You're honestly a lot like Jax only real difference being that you're a little s&#$ about it. Also don't worry about Caine finding out. If you keep up that childish and nice personality around him then he wont believe the others when they say that you crumpled Gangle up into a ball and taped her to the ceiling. (She was there for days before the tape lost it's stickiness) (It's kinda short Ik but that's mainly cause I had trouble keeping age and gender up to the reader. Still I hope you enjoyed it.)

also addition to the whole manager thing

1. She def wouldn’t know what the hell to do with herself at first and just sort of followed around the team and would talk/interact unless given permission. Kind of a lost puppy

2. Probably Paige Kk Ice or Azzi who made her come out of her shell for the first time (if we’re talking earlier team it was def Dorka and u won’t change my mind)

3. She lovvves practicing with them but lowkey gets so tired because she’s literally a baby trying to keep up with fully physically mature adult women and that just doesn’t happen 😭 and will never admit she’s tired. She is lying and Paige and others ended up carrying her out of practice after she fell asleep on the bench on more than one occasion (which she is horridly embarrassed by once she comes back and always gets squirmy and embarrassed if someone mentions it.

4. Probably ended up falling asleep on a few of them at some point on a long bus ride (Ice, Aliyah maybe Paige). Doesn’t know what to do when she wakes up with someone literally hugging her to them like a teddy bear or when she discovers Paige Azzi and Kk have been taking photos and captioning them stuff like “our little teddy bear 🧸 “ just to get on her nerves a bit and truly bully her in older sibling fashion)

5. She is there babbbby omg can not emphasize this one enough. like they get so protective and fond of her it’s not even funny. so now she has like 10+ adopted parents. Basically can get away with anything.

6. Once got lost at an away game at Iowa and had to be returned to UConn by some big rival (idk i just picture someone else big like Kate Martin or smth just grabbing her sweatshirt hoodie like the scruff of her neck and lightly dragging her back over to UConn after getting lost and then they all scold her for worrying them 😭) and then they just look at Kate like hi 👭

7. She’s got no idea wether she’s supposed to accept or reject the affection so just kind of sits there at first like 🧍‍♀️ when they first hang out but then after a few weeks is very content with it.

8. One tinnny lil child when she first joins like 5’3 and barely a hundred cus she’s literally like 13 and hasn’t hit a growth spurt. I feel like Kk and Nika would kind of hold it above her that their taller just cause their on the shorter side compared to the rest of the team and tell her to drink more milk. She hates it LMMMMAO and swears she’ll grow taller than them one day (which is a longgggg way off)

9. Nervous af around other teams coaches or players escpeicslly when she attends a pregame meeting or smth as a manager and would literally want to hide if she got acknowledged (esp by some big named player like Angel or Caitlin or Kate or Juju or someone like that)

10. She’s probably a point guard or shooting guard and clicks a lot with Paige because of it

11. They give her a lil hoodie with the UConn logo and what they think is her future number (9) and it’s like a lost n found tag for her (someone just sees her wandering around with it on and then they see UConn manager and are like “welp guess i gotta bring their child back”

MK ends up supervised at all times when he's pregnant specifically after he nearly burned down Pigsy's due to pregnancy brain, usually by Red Son and/or Mei but occasionally by the others. They let his siblings babysitsupervise him one time and the older adults came back to them all asleep in a cuddle pile on the couch with MK in the center, Mei's phone still on and playing the OSP 'History Hijinks' playlist because dorky mortals do be dorky sometimes

MK also absolutely has Wukong's "Gold Vision lets me see the baby(s)" thing and would just lovingly watch his kids as they developed via Gold Vision, drawing what he sees for Red and the others (except Wukong cuz he can ofc also see the developing grandkids). Red has all of the drawings compiled into a photo album, along with ultrasounds and so many pictures of just pregnant MK. He loves his husband very very much

Awwwww!!!! I havent much to add because these are so cute!

Wukong and Macaque are protective ofc, but they've been through the pregnant monkey motions before, so they give MK almost-complete freedom whenever he's with them. DBK and PIF in contast have an army of Bull Clones at the ready to attend MK's every need and ensure the safe arrival of their future grand-heirs.

Pigsy would def be the most insistent that MK take parental leave from work - both out of concern (thats his adoptive son and grandpiglets there), and out of fear for his poor restaurant. Tang thinks he's over-reacting a bit, but carrys MK's food to him irregardless. Sandy ofc is the most trusted expert when it comes to breathing exercises, teas, and aromatherapy.

Mei is chiller about letting MK do stuff for himself around the house, but wisely doesn't let him cook something unsupervised. Nezha and Chenxiang are chill in their own ways too, but they worry when MK carries anything heavier than a book. Bai He and the Eclipse Twins are determined to make sure MK stays off his feet until the spicynoodles baby(s) arrive. They would be mega-proud and bossy about it too since; "I'm their uncle/auntie!", and MK adores his little siblings too much to argue with them. Sibling cuddle piles/nests are a common occurance.

With Red, atleast MK can convince her to let him walk to the corner store for snacks. Red does insist that MK take a Bull Clone to carry any heavy weights tho (bonus: safety precaution).

MK using his Gold Vision to "peak in" at the developing baby(s) is such an adorable idea. He probably does it first on accident and is speechless. Wukong tells him how he did the same thing when Macaque was pregnant with MK (+when Shadowpeach had Rumble & Savage), and that its super cool to watch the little guy(s) grow. MK would def sketch up what he sees in there and pins it next to the corresponding ultrasound for comparision.

I feel like thats how they found out there was twins...

Ultrasound Technician: "Ok, looks like you've got a big healthy baby demon in there!" MK, turns on Gold-Vision: "Huh, but whats this blobby bit of energy here? Normally I see only one." Ultrasound technician: *moves sensor to the spot* "Oh!! Make that two healthy babies! That one must have been hiding behind its twin." MK: :D!! Red Son: *faints with joy*

Red Son def has an endless wallet/photo album of their growing family. Their almost as bad as their dad - Mr "Canonically brags about the exact time of his kid's birth to anyone who'd listen" DBK. Red Son got the timestamps ready for their own bragging.

Why do you (personally) think so many Steve fans loathe the idea of him becoming a dad? becoming a parent is the only dream we know he has, but it's thrown in the trash in most fics. I keep reading about steve being childless by choice, because the party is enough for him, which I really don't get, they're only 4 years younger than him, their relationship is brotherly, not parental, and they have their own parents who raised them. I love found family, but it's not the same as raising children

Oooh. Anon you are so bold giving this to me, a person who has an elaborate studio era lavender marriage au where Steve and Robin just. Get adopted by children who break into their house AND one where Steve becomes brotherdad to his half sister. A person who clearly also doesn't know why people have future!Steve childless. Man attracts kids like the pied piper.

But let me try. I have some ideas.

First off there's less space between Steve and Dustin than me and my little sister, but more than me and my big brother, so I can for sure say, you definitely become more friends less caretakery with your siblings once you/they are not fourteen. Still protective though. Maybe many people writing those don't have close sibling relationships with moderate age gaps? Like, there's a point where you feel comfortable letting your little sibling do mostly whatever, because they're big, but you're not gonna let them get hurt if you can stop it. There's also never a point where you stop looking at your older sibling to help you. That doesn't mean my big brother is like my dad?? It's very different, and that's important!! The Party for sure has a sibling-like relationship with Steve, especially Dustin, and Max, and I'd say Lucas (he has a little sister, but no older sibling, and Steve and Erica are scoops troop bonded so. Bonus brother for Lucas!)(will and Mike have their own older siblings. El and Steve interaction WHEN!!!!) and they all have actual parents. So yeah. Steve has a gaggle of little siblings he'd fucking die for, and his kids are going to have so many uncles/aunts/non-binary sibling of parent (there is no good word for that)

So. I think it's possible that because a lot of people headcanon Steve as queer, that immediately makes "having kids" a bit more complicated given the state of things for queer folk in the 80's. That's fair.

With that, possibly people sort of...transfer Steve wanting kids and a big family to working with kids. Which isn't that big of a leap for Steve! He obviously does well with the Party and Erica, and he canonically worked as a lifeguard, which almost definitely means he taught swimming too! (Small pool def wanted duel certs. Trust me). He likes kids, works well with them, and wants them. These are three things that are separate, but blend well with each other.

However I don't really agree. Obviously being parents was harder for gay/queer people in the eighties, especially men. But it wasn't unheard-of! I think saying that because he's queer and in a relationship with a man in the eighties that he'd have to give up on his dream of being a dad is rude. There would be obstacles but, really, I think Steve would see it as totally worth it.

Another reason I think people don't want to give future Steve kids is. Listen it's been a while since I saw it but. His little speech was pretty embarrassing. Mostly because it was to Nancy. And that he followed up on the way to vecna and said he thought it would be her there too... Literally any other character would have made it not awkward, but because he and Nancy haven't talked about anything other than the upside down since season 2, it was awkward and bad. If it was ANYONE ELSE it would have been so cute (it still kinda is just. Ignore that they tried to give stancy development without actually giving them development) like if Robin was there? If Dustin or Max? Erica? Lucas? Were sitting in that seat, it'd be Steve sharing a dream of a big family he had, trying to lighten the mood, of opening up to people he cared about. They'd tease him, but the implication of him wanting them there as well would be clear and very cute. Adorable.

Because those are characters that don't have the same baggage in their relationship with Steve, but the six nuggets speech was made to Nancy so immediately it's already a bit off for people who want the characters to actually, y'know, talk about the past and move forward from it. Nancy and Steve's relationship is so messy and interesting and if they wanted me to get into actually rooting for it then maybe they should have an actual conversation about it!! And have Nancy break up with Jon before!! Not just half dreams of the future while her bf isn't there!

People also try to use it as saying Steve assumed Nancy would? Just be a Sahm? Or something? When that was never the implication? Maybe Nancy would have interpreted it that way, but I didn't. Steve wanted a big family who spent lots of quality time together having adventures. Six kids is a lot, but I betcha if Steve thought that much about having that many kids and road tripping to the ocean, he was probably imagining being the primary caretaker of those lil nuggs. He was daydreaming about first day of kindergarten and tearing up for real I know it.

Also I think people are cowards if they don't think Robin and Steve would get convenience married and adopt a couple kids even tho Robin is slightly terrified of toddlers (they are fast and they BITE) and Steve would be Robin's trophy husband who's a stay at home dad that wages physiological suburban warfare by being a Wife Guy and the envy of all early nineties housewives.

Ok so we've seen many younger sibling readers, now what of older sibling reader

Like imagine if nagi had a semi protective older sibling, who does want people to use their younger brother, since he is talented. And when they meet Reo, they don't like him, but Nagi is just like, "We're kinda using each other" (he gets money/spoiled & reo get a soccer star)

And a bit after that reader kinda just adopts Reo as their younger brother as well. And when blue lock comes round its kinda sad since instead of saying bye for now to one brother, they have to say bye to two, also with the *fun* aftermath of what goes down in blue lock between the two

Wonder Woman (2023) #3: Wonder-Robin

Tom King is the new Writer of DC Comics’s Wonder Woman series. I am not really such a great fan of that because Tom King has that habit to make the readers believe that something that can’t work is working. He did that with Batman and paired him up with Catwoman even if he wrote at the very beginning of that romance that the couple could never work out. TK dragged the whole BatCat thru a Proposal up to a Wedding only to destroy it in the last seconds. The “I love you’s” keep going on even in 2023 but in the end of the day, Selina is still a fugitive murderer that can never have a happy future with Bruce Wayne.

But back in the time while TK was fooling the readers with a doomed BatCat romance he reminded us all of the refrained but very persistent attraction between Bruce and Diana in Batman (2016) #39 and #40.

So far I can’t pretend to like the WW series but there was a little subplot in this Issue that I really loved. It looks like Diana’s daughter, Elisabeth or “Lizzie”, will in fact be a Baby from one of her Amazon sisters and a still unknown man. Diana may eventually adopt the baby girl in an upcoming Issue and raise her in the world of men.

In the subplot Lizzie is a five-year old and is babysit by… Damian Wayne and Jonathan Kent in Wayne Manor. While Jon takes the first opportunity to flee the babysitting job, Damian decides to take Lizzie on patrol in Gotham.

“Wonder-Robin” !?! .. OK, We’ve reached stratospheric levels of Cuteness here ! … XD … Not enough ? How about older brother Damian tying up her little “wonder-robin” boots while She sits on the Batmobile ?

How come that there is even a “Wonder-Robin” suit in the Batcave with a W on the belt instead of a bat, an adorable green skirt and a Star on the cape (pictured in another panel) ?

... Obviously Lizzie is an adorable little rascal.

But the Wonder-Bat fun doesn’t stop there because at the end of the story Lizzie falls asleep in a pajama on the sofa with her head resting on Damian’s lap. Wearing.. a yellow bat-themed pajama !! …really ?!

How many nights does Diana spend in Wayne Manor to need a Wonder-Robin suit and a Bat-themed pajama for Lizzie ?… XD

In a way, it would make sense that Diana moves into Wayne Manor to raise the little Girl because there is hardly a safer place in the world for Lizzie except Themyscira. Plus Gotham has enough bat-people to Babysit an already extremely powerful and dangerous kid (the 5yo Lizzie nearly killed Killer-croc during the patrol).

DC Comics really sits on a Gold-mine with WonderBat, but they just don’t exploit it.

Haru has no idea what he should say or do, just zoning out at your adorable expression. You were serious about this?? Did you wanna... do it right now?? Get down mister-

He briefly excuses himself to wipe his nose and throw some water on his face. When he talks with you again, he's still bright red, confused, and internally screaming. Stammering, he asks you what you meant, and why you brought it up.

He would love to have kids when the two of you are older, but until then, he doesn't think he can handle that kind of responsibility as a high schooler. 

If you simply meant that you wanted to take your relationship to the next level, he wouldn't be opposed in the slightest.

Utsuro:

"...What."

He remains silent as you repeat yourself. You couldn't remember the last time you've seen this much emotion on your boyfriend's face.

His divine luck made life pretty predictable but you were just full of surprises.

You're gonna have to carry the conversation from there, rambling about how babies were cute, and a bunch of other stuff that Utsuro was too distracted to listen to.

Why would you say this? Did his luck do something for this to occur so randomly? Did he want a child!? 

Okay, hell no. Dealing with Akane and void was enough, and he didn't want a biological kid cursed with his luck. When you ask him what he thinks, he's direct and blunt about it. You were one of the few good things he had in the world, but he had his own boundaries in this relationship. You two were high schoolers. 

He might consider adoption when you're older, but not for a while.

In the end, he wills his luck and gets you a puppy instead.

Teruya Otori:

"Wh-Wha...WHAAAAA?!"

He hurts his mouth from opening it so wide, and his face is so red that you could mistake him for a strawberry. He can't form coherent words for a solid minute.

He excuses himself, and isn't sure how he can even look at you without blushing, knowing you actually wanted to have... with him...

He has no idea what to do, asking advice from his dad would be humiliating, and Haru would never let him live this down... 

Teruya ends up being honest with you, that he'd like to have a kid or two, but not until the both of you are at stable points in your careers. He still has to cover his red face a few times in the conversation out of embarrassment. 

He's flattered, happy to know you want a future with him, but he'd prefer to take things slow.

(His Dad would definitely ask for grandchildren when you guys get older though-)

DRA Yuki Maeda:

"H-Huh!? Y-Y/n!? What do you mean!?"

When you repeat the question, he's even more shocked. Yuki takes a deep breath, and tells you that you're both too young. He's still blushing and the idea is sweet, but he didn't think either of you were ready for that kind of responsibility.

Yuki's taken care of a few younger cousins, and isn't bad with kids, but not great either. He treats them well and takes care of them properly, but he's not the highlight of their night. 

He suggests that the two of you adopt a pet after high school, just to see how it goes. He wouldn't mind having a child with you, but he'd constantly worry about being a dad.

(His mother loves the idea of grandchildren though, and will bring it up a lot as he gets older)

Yamato Kisaragi:

"Okay! I'll get you a-...wait WHAT!?"

Considering how much this boy spoils you, the moment you said you wanted something, it was basically yours. 

But he still knew when to put his foot down. 

Yamato's face is pink, and he'll need a moment to gain his composure. He'd like to be a dad one day, preferably to multiple kids, but he was NOT ready for that yet. Gently taking your hands, he tells you that you're both too young, and should focus on your own futures before bringing a child into the picture.

However, he asks Kinji to let you help with the children at the orphanage, and promises to adopt a pet with you after high school.

He thinks about that moment sometimes, and it never fails to bring a giant blush to his face. 

Kakeru Yamaguchi:

"...."

THUD!

You've broken him. The moment his brain processed those words, he was out. He doesn't wake up for a while, and when he does, he's frozen in shock. 

If you repeat what you said, he'll just pass out again. Kanata might have to sedate him...

As for actually having kids, the topic will always fluster him, no matter how old the two of you are. Kakeru would only be comfortable having kids after both of you have finished high school, and he has finished law school and payed off any debt or loans. 

He's hesitant on the idea in general, not sure if he'll make a good father, but he'll eventually give in. 

Kinji Uehara:

"...I'm sorry?"

He can't stop himself from blushing, and he's extremely confused on why you would say that so suddenly-

"Y/n...I'm... not sure where to start..."

He'll bring you somewhere private and talk with you there. He's shocked, sure, but handles the situation maturely. You can't help but tease him a bit as he tries to stop himself from internally freaking out.

Kinji sits the both of you down, and you have a long discussion about intimacy and your plans for the future.

As a devoted priest, he has taken a vow of celibacy, so you shouldn't expect biological children. However, when the two of you are old enough, he'd be more than happy to adopt children with you. 

Mitch Higa:

"I... uhh...where is this coming from?"

Very confused. He'd love to get intimate with you, but he's not sure if he wants kids yet, and definitely not when his soccer career is just beginning. 

The conversation would be awkward, but he'd try to be upfront about it. For the next couple of years, the answer was definitely no, but later on.... He'll think about it.

Over the years, anytime a kid excitedly comes up to him, usually asking for an autograph or picture, he keeps thinking of that moment. 

...And he just can't stop thinking about it.

Initially, he'd like a few sons, but would end up loving any child of his equally regardless of gender. Mitch would love it if they liked soccer, but if not, he'd still love them just as much.

Still, he'd like the two of you to live your lives to the fullest, and not miss out on your youth. 

Tsurugi Kinjo:

"Absolutely not. We're high schoolers."

He shuts it down quick.

It did catch him off guard, but he's fast to respond. He genuinely can't imagine why you think that's a good idea. The two of you had your whole lives ahead of you.

He gives you a stern talking to about the responsibility and impact the child would have on both of your lives, and how the two of you might have to drop out of school to care for it. (Tsurugi definitely refers to babies as "it")

 Honestly, he doesn't even like it when you joke about that kind of thing. He doesn't want to think of a child as an obstacle, but it would greatly interfere with his work.

Not matter your age, Tsurugi would always be hesitant about kids, but if you push enough, he might agree to a child when you're both stable and well into your careers.

You talked a little while ago about why you don't think Shidou would make a good father to Amane (agreed) and proposed the idea of Mahiru adopting Amane. That's cute but I want to tell you about my post-MILGRAM headcanon:

Amane joins the Kajiyamas

Not Fuuta specifically adopting her, but like him taking her back to his family's house. I'm sure they'd have a spare room

I think people don't think about Fuuta's homelife much, or if they do they take Fuuta's one interrogation question where he calls his dad an old fogey and assume its like, abusive

And don't get me wrong, I don't think the Kajiyama household are perfect. Fuuta' beautician sister surely hasn't helped when it comes to Fuuta's body image issues and I'm betting they're all a bunch of tsunderes too embarrassed to say they love each other

But in a series where most of the abused characters are still convinced their abuser loved them/acted out of love. Seeing a guy not be afraid to call his dad a loser is almost a green flag

I think it'd be good for Amane to not necessarily be adopted as the lone child to a single parent but get to be introduced to a very different style of family unit from her own One where its normal to express different opinions or disagreements or even have arguments and not have it be the end of the world

Amane already has a snarky side to her, I bet it'd flourish in a brash household like the Kajiyama's (or at least how I imagine them to be)

I agree -- I never interpreted Fuuta's family as abusive or harmful, just not super close and struggling a bit after his mother left. (And yeah, all as openly emotional as him😭) They seem stable and very capable to taking in a extra, very well-behaved child. Assuming Fuuta is the way he is because of them, that atmosphere of being very honest and forward would work well for her. They say things as they are, little by little pointing out the harmful parts of her worldview. Like you said, none of them make excuses about harmful behavior stemming from love, so she'd get a really healthy dose of truth in that area. She never feels coddled or treated like a baby. They care for her while treating her very maturely.

I absolutely love how well she and Fuuta get along, with that snarky side to her that you mentioned. It would allow her to fit in well in the new household, getting the sense of belonging she'll lose after leaving the cult. Also, seeing how Fuuta and his sister let things slip and aren't perfect sons/daughters, she'll be able to relax about earning a parent's love through perfect behavior. She'll probably stay exactly the same, but her stress about it will fade <3

I doubt Fuuta's father can ever replace the hole she'll have from her own father, but the addition of an older sister will be huge. Amane will never get the feeling her mother is being replaced, but the woman will still fill the gap of the older, same-gender role model she needs. Her beautician job may throw Amane at first (being an indulgence in vanity), but it isn't as in-your-face as other careers. I think she could definitely ease Amane into accepting it, and over time, accepting her own personal "indulgence."

Plus, her moving in would also be really good for Fuuta! I think he'd recognize there's a ton of fun things she missed out on, and that heroic side of him outweighs the part that cringes: he gripes and groans about going to "kid places," but he's always the one to announce "I can't believe you've never been to __, we're going right now!!" This allows him to touch grass leave the house and experience his own life to the fullest. He's able to channel his desire to help society into a healthier outlet. Also, seeing her studying habits and plans for the future might even inspire him to do the same. (might.) He becomes the stereotypical good big brother, though of course he denies it viciously...

Head Cannons!

So, I wanted to put out some general head cannons about the character’s personalities because why not? Luigi -He’s a soft boi but knows what he wants when he wants it and is willing to do what it takes to get it. -He’s the prince of the mushroom kingdom because Mario and his adoptive parents didn’t want him to have to stress about having too much work since he was frail as a kid. He no longer is, but it’s just how things turned out. -Luigi has a little bit of trauma from his time with Daisy. Of course things turned out okay and it was only temporary, but he won’t even look at her for things that she said and did to him over that day they were together. -Luigi sort of already knew that Bowser was hiding a big part of him. He’s not an oracle, but he occasionally has these dreams where he sees a small bit of the future and one of the things he saw was Bowser changing forms with Luigi in his arms. -He’s transgender, but genderfluid more than anything. His pronouns are He/him and he is comfortable being addressed as a prince, but he adores wearing dresses and skirts. He’s also generally more feminine in nature because of his kindness. No one judges him though, since he is the best ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and if anyone did try to say something, they’d be facing war from Mario’s Empire.

Mario -Mario is the best older brother. Absolutely the best, he loves his little brother more than anything and when Luigi came out to him as young teens, he helped Luigi get more comfortable in his skin and helped when Luigi needed help picking a more masculine name. -Mario is not an emperor, yet! His father before him also wasn’t an emperor until after he married, so, potentially, if Mario chose to never marry but still have offspring, he’d never be emperor. Not that he minded, he was pretty content by himself. -Mario is Polyamorous! He is okay with just one partner, but he knows he needs more to be satisfied. That being said, he wants a closed relationship, he doesn’t want to have to worry about his partners getting sick because of a bad time or anything like that. -Mario is totally okay with Bowser and Luigi’s relationship and actually finds it cute! Interspecies relationships aren’t a problem for him since his and Luigi’s parents were one such couple. Their parents were a Toadette and a Bogmire by the names of Timpani and Blumiere respectively.

Peach -She’s a great girl :) the best girl and a great friend to Bowser. She never let his intimidating true appearance change her opinion of Bowser, even when he would get angry. She loves Bowser as a brother and has always cared for him and always will support him. -She becomes an ambassador for the Koopa Kingdom since she is really good at public speaking and negotiations. She doesn’t actually become a princess since she isn’t related to Bowser, but she is perfectly content with her position and is allowed to travel as she pleases between business meetings. -She isn’t exactly Poly, but she eventually ends up in a closed relationship with two people. She’s not the most active partner, but is a good compromise between their personalities and issues. She’s soft and kind, but knows when to put her foot down. She also appreciates aspects from both since one is responsible and doting while the other is strong and diligent. Peach loves both of them because they allow her to explore and be herself while still welcoming her back almost as if nothing has changed. -Peach can’t ever see her parents again, sadly, as the pipe never returns during their lifetime and her parents are left knowing that her and Bowser are either dead or lost somewhere. She regrets not calling them more often, but knows that she is much happier in this new world full of magic and beautiful scenery.

Bowser -Bowser has anger issues, but he does everything he can to keep from being violent or angry with anyone. He even commissioned a special room so that he could rage and not damage anything important in the castle. it’s full of easily made china, bats, punching bags, breakable boards, etc. He enjoys the relief it brings when he feel like he can’t control his emotions well enough. Luigi and Peach are also senses of calm for him, being able to ground him when he was starting to get mad. -He’s very uncertain with his and Luigi’s relationship at first, worried that their rushing it, but Luigi is quick to reassure him that he wouldn’t be there if he didn’t want Bowser. Luigi is also the first to initiate a kiss between them because he knows Bowser is too much of a worry wart. -Bowser adores Luigi as much as Luigi adores Bowser. He’s the first person to truly accept him and appreciate him in his true form besides Peach, and Luigi is the first person to actually like that form more than his human form. (Bowser wasn’t sure why until Luigi explained about his preferences later on in the relationship, but he was more than happy to oblige) -For whatever reason, even in Bowser’s human form, he and Luigi are never able to have a biological child. -Bowser is a righteous king and a good ruler and lover. He’s kind and knows when to step away while still being able to command respect and, when needed, fear, but he’s always looking to solve things peacefully.

Extras -Daisy is eventually tried and sent to an island that no one can reach once she’s there with only the basics to survive. She does eventually escape, but she no longer has any power and it took time for her to build herself back up to attack. -Waluigi and Wario become Bowser’s servants since they showed remorse for what happened. However, they aren’t allowed anywhere near Luigi because of his trauma. -Queen Rosalina, Queen of the Boos, does not like Bowser and thinks he is unfit to rule. -Donkey Kong, king of the Kongs, is a recluse and hides his people, however, when word reached him of a new, kinder Koopa King, he attended the coronation which introduced him to a new world of people. -Prince Boo, celestial being of the cosmos, is well known in the world and is both revered and feared. He was known to be chaotic, but only took real action when the galaxy is in danger. He enjoys teasing Luigi and eventually becomes a good friend to the human. Prince Boo does have a crush on Luigi, but for multiple reasons, he doesn’t pursue the human prince. -Koopalings for hire! They take the place of Wario and Waluigi and are basically hitmen or thugs for hire. Kamek recommends them for a simple retrieval mission and Luigi and Bowser both find the struggling kids cute and feel bad that they’ve had to live that way for so many years. They take the kids in a week after they get a very special present. Ludwig is the oldest at 17 and Larry and Lemmy are the youngest at 10. -The BeanBean Kingdom is ruled by Queen Cackletta and Prince Fawful, Their ambassadors, Bean and Peasley tried to steal Luigi’s voice to empower the Beanstar, but Prince Fawful heard of the plan and warned Luigi. Basically, the Super Star Saga plot takes place, but with altered characters and such. Mario becomes Rookie, Peach and Bowser are like Mario and Luigi, and Luigi is Peach ofc. That’s just how it goes lol. Things turn out great and Bowser, Luigi, and Mario are all able to acquire treaties with the BeanBean Kingdom. -Yoshi’s are more intelligent and have a kingdom and a super star of their own. Their king is literally named King Yoshi and is a rare Green Yoshi. -Penguins are sweet little babies that allow you to slide on them when traveling through their icy dessert hills. They are significantly larger than the ones we see in games and movies, since they are ridden, they have to be large enough to hold others. They love fish.

How would the 118 react to clipboard!buck in The ordeal of dating your captain's (adopted) son universe

Tommy gave Evan his first clipboard when he was about 11, because he thought it would be a good way to help Evan feel like he was helping them out when he was visiting the station. Evan absolutely took to them and everyone thought it was completely adorable how seriously he took his clipboarding duties.

Bobby realised what a golden opportunity this was, and bought Evan a clipboard for home, printing off neat checklists of both of their chores and their respective homework/paperwork. There was a brief moment where he regretted it, since all of a sudden it was Evan insisting that his paperwork needed to be done when all he wanted to do was shake off the stress of the day with a solid baking session. However, it got Evan to get much better at keeping track of and actually completing his homework on time so overall Bobby still considered the whole thing to be a massive parenting win for him.

No one really remembered Clipboard Evan until about halfway into Buck's probationary year, when he got asked to do the inventory and did so by wielding his trusty clipboard.

The newer members of the crew were mildly terrified at just how thorough he was with that clipboard and how strictly he adhered to everything on it but most of them figured it was probably Bobby's fault - growing up as the son of a fire Captain had to have had an impact, after all.

Chimney, however, texted Tommy cursing him for ever introducing Evan to clipboards, sure that he was at fault for Buck's obsessive behaviour with them.

The older members of the crew mostly fell into reminiscing, except that just made Buck even stricter since he was worried that they would see him as that kid again rather than their colleague, at which point they became a little dumbfounded and vowed to try and keep him away from clipboards in future.

Hen found it absolutely hilarious, right up until Buck told her off for something in her ambulance, at which point she told Eddie to distract his boyfriend before she took drastic measures.

She wasn't quite sure how to react when Eddie admitted that he was finding it way too cute and hot to put a stop to it.

Bobby was resigned that he had no chance of changing anything - and hey, at least he could trust that the checklists were 100% followed!

She can’t believe he was afraid she wouldn’t like him. She practically melted in his arms when he held her. He’s actually the one who stopped her meltdown when they first showed up to Patty’s.

Now, Julia’s fast asleep in his arms while they lounge on Patty’s couch. She looks so safe with him, and this is all she’s ever wanted since she delivered Julia.

“She loves you,” Sylvie whispers, resting her chin on his shoulder. “I knew she would.”

He grins. “You know, you’re definitely right about her being the cutest baby ever. She’s perfect.”

She really is.

He strokes his thumb against Julia’s tiny cheek. “I can’t believe she’s yours, Sylvie.”

Sylvie giggles at him. He still keeps referring to Julia as just her baby. It’s cute but a bit frustrating.

She kisses his cheek. “Matt, she’s ours. She’s as much yours as she is mine. You’re her dad.”

He exhales slowly. “I just can’t believe any of this is real. You saying yes. This baby. The fact I don’t have to think about you with that Dylan guy anymore.”

She whacks his arm. “Well, you better start believing it because all of it happened.” She holds out her hand. “I’m wearing your ring.”

“About time. I’ve had that thing in a box for way over a year.”

She still can’t believe that. If he just told her at Stella’s wedding that he saw a future with her, she wouldn’t have ended things.

Not in a million years.

Julia stirs from her nap and pops the pacifier out of her mouth. It falls to the ground.

“I’ll get it,” Sylvie says, grabbing it off the floor. “I’m going to go rinse it real quick. You okay here?”

He nods. “Yeah. I’m good.”

She hops off the couch and heads into the kitchen. Patty’s at the island, fixing up some sandwiches.

“You want my help with that?” Sylvie asks.

The older woman shakes her head. “No. No. You’re a guest. I got this.”

Sylvie wants to argue but she also respects Patty’s capability. She heads to the sink and rinses the pacifier under the water.

“You know, I recall having a conversation just the other day about how you were prepared to do this alone.”

She was. She didn’t really want to, but it was her only option. She had no idea Matt still loved her. A lot of her dreams died during the breakup with him.

She had to create new ones.

Sylvie smiles. “It’s funny. Anytime I pictured motherhood in the last few years, Matt was always apart of the picture. At first, I just imagined him by my side as a friend. He offered to do it years ago when I thought I might have to adopt my little sister.”

She was terrified that day at the idea of raising Amelia. She didn’t think she could handle it, but Matt made her feel differently. She didn’t feel alone.

“Oh gosh,” she mumbles to herself, fighting back tears. She doesn’t want to cry in front of Patty. “And then when we got together, I just couldn’t imagine not having kids with him. He’s just one of those guys that are destined to be fathers. He’s so good with kids. He has been since the day I met him.”

Patty nods, wiping her hands on her apron. “He seems like it. He’s great with her.”

She’s wanted Matt to be a dad for so long. She’s seen so many of his opportunities to do so be ripped away. It never felt fair because any child would be lucky to have him as a father. She never imagined she’d be the one to give him that but she’s beyond grateful she gets a front row seat to his fatherhood journey for the rest of her life.

Sylvie quickly wipes at her face. “I’m sorry. I don’t know why I’m so emotional. It’s just…from the moment I helped Amber deliver her, I hoped she’d go to a good family. Now, I know that she’s going to be so loved and so protected by Matt. She’ll have the greatest dad in the world.”

Patty smiles. “I agree, dear but I also think she’ll have the greatest mom too. Don’t sell yourself short.”

She hopes she will be a great mom but with Matt, she knows he’ll be a great dad.

So some EarthSpark stuff has trickled out lately that eludes to one thing I’m concerned about: more Terrans & sexuality.

So first off, a leak states Hashtag will come out as gay.

I have no idea why this is a big revelation when her first major gag coming online was fabricating a ship fic scenario of her and Skywarp being “really close friends” to fool Mandroid into thinking she was a Decepticon. It was pretty obvious she was gay for Skywarp.

So this leads into another problem… if they’re leaning into a scenario where the Terrans want to start dating… who are they supposed to be with?

It can’t be with each other romantically, and it can’t be with the older Autobots and Decepticons. If they do the later do you guys REALLY want this to be on Fox News again? Cyclonus & Tailgate just barely skirts an age difference, but still has imagery of Tailgate as a child and Cyclonus as a parent despite their romantic relationship, which is super creepy and I hope beyond hope that wasn’t intentional, and then you have Arcee & Aileron which is also a huge no from me because of how left field it was coupled with the age gap.

The Terrans, like the Armada Mini-Cons and Prime Predacons, flip flop between being a species and being a sub faction. Thus far there are only five, and they’re all Maltos. More Terrans can’t possibly mean more Maltos, that can only go so far, I don’t care if there’s an adoption metaphor here, nobody in their right mind in this economy wants 12+ kids like the various Cheaper By The Dozen films and related plots. The Terrans have to start standing as their own in some capacity which leads to the other leaks.

We’ve known for awhile there’s a new character called Aftermath, and now new toy leaks show another new character called Spitfire. So it seems the idea going by names alone is in the aftermath of Mandroid’s actions a new generation of Terrans come online, but who they are still isn’t clear. But this feeds into the dating idea. If these are separate non-Malto Terrans, and they want to give Hashtag a girlfriend, this is the way to do it. We’ll just assume Spitfire is the one for now because I don’t think Aftermath would fit. Until we know more, my assumption is Aftermath is the corrupt leader of a new generation of Terran and Spitfire is one of their subordinates. They’re ideally the tonal opposites of the Maltobots, a barely functioning as a group Decepticon analogue with Hashtag and her future girlfriend being the Silverbolt & BlackArachnia analog ala Beast Wars.

But even with Catt gone, and her best (and seemingly only) idea for S2 had she remained was bringing back Trans Arcee, when even IDW removed themselves of that train wreck in their reboot, and Hasbro via Skybound let Arcee be with Ratchet, we can only hope instead there’s a Heartstopper style running thread in Hashtag getting the girl, because that would be cute, but only if it’s handled well. I consider Heartstopper the gold standard of earnest and organic chemistry and relationship relatability that most other stuff struggles with. Make Hashtag & her girlfriend a blend of Charlie & Nick spliced with Silverbolt & BlackArachnia and you will go far, I guarantee.

(Also so it’s not misconstrued, a Trans Terran, Autobot or Decepticon can work, but we all know IDW Arcee was the result of an ambitious but heavily, HEAVILY flawed idea that became way too overcorrected until the very end. Anode is better because she didn’t have the baggage, but she was also annoying and preachy so not exactly what I consider great rep. Where’s the Elle Argent for Transformers EarthSpark? She’s fun because she gets to be a character! I like it better when characters get to be characters, and not have their LGBT trait be their only trait. It’s why I think Nightshade didn’t resonate because the staff didn’t focus nearly enough on their hobbies and interests and instead focused a lil’ too much on their NB status which became an unfortunate deterrent. Where’s the episode where Nightshade goes to a comic convention in Beast Mode with Sam, and guests just think they’re an elaborate cosplayer? That could be fun! As for a Trans robot, I don’t know who that would be in terms of preexisting characters but I had a little joke if they were a car about how they explain themselves briefly as having used to be a stick shift until they got an overhaul, and finally got into first gear.)

I know he said he wants 3 boys and 3 girls but I ended up doing similar to Joe because he ended up the only boy with four sisters and I was like okay with Steve that would be adorable lol

The Harrington house was rarely ever silent.

Six kids was a hell of a lot for many people, but you and Steve managed just fine.

There was your first born, the adopted Harrington that made Steve a father. She may not have been born a Harrington, but she was a Harrington for life. Steve often joked that she was the bonus kid that prepared him for fatherhood since he’d missed the first year of her life.

The second born, another little girl was just as energetic as her big sister, but had a soft spot for her mommy. Her older sister was strictly a daddy’s girl. Other than being as outgoing as her sister, they couldn’t be more different. While your oldest was sporty, second baby girl was your sporty one.

Third and fourth born was a complete surprise as they were twins. A boy and a girl, which Steve was thrilled about. He got another girl and a boy at the same time. They were your sensitive souls, often preferring to settle with a book or for your first son—draw. They were definitely the more crafty of the bunch.

Baby number five worried you when you weren’t sure if it was a boy or girl yet. With a track record of having three girls and one boy, you were afraid he’d be disappointed if it was another girl—which to no one’s surprise, it was another girl. Steve was in love at first sight, of course. Being the youngest for a while made number five your wild child. She was used to life with four older siblings and she did everything she could to keep up with them with no problem.

Baby number six was definitely going to be your final child. As much as you loved your kids, pregnancy was exhausting. Surprisingly, Steve wanted a girl this time around. He said he was happy he had gotten a boy, but he was also really wrapped around his girls’ fingers. Baby number six was also currently still in utero. You were six months pregnant with your final girl—Steve had gotten his wish. Just like her eldest sister, you predicted that she would be a daddy’s girl as she always kicked like crazy when he was around.

Your dining room table was filled with lots of noise, a big mess, but lots of happy smiling faces. There were booster seats and high chairs, messy faces and wild hair, but the table was filled with love and laughter, just like you and Steve wanted.

Your oldest was now 8, leading the pack of Harringtons like the natural born leader she was.

Baby girl number two was now 5, starting Kindergarten soon and eager to soak up knowledge about a world that fascinated her and constantly caused her to ask a million questions.

Three and four were 3 years old, had a tight bond that only twins could have, but we’re growing an unexpected love for movie night with daddy, even when others didn’t want to watch.

Five was 18 months, toddling around everywhere, reminding you so much of her eldest sister at that age. She was stubborn and always had to be with her siblings. She was a true firecracker.

You rubbed your belly, feeling the last of you and Steve’s nearly completed family stirring inside of you.

Life was going to be even more crazy soon with a newborn in the house, but you’d manage. After all, you’d made it this far. Life might be busy and hectic for at least the next 18 years of raising children and sending them off into the world, but you knew you wanted to do it with no one else but Steve.

“Five girls?” Steve asked, pulling you out of the daydream you’d just been describing to him.

That was how you hoped life with Steve would look like down the road.

“Would you mind if that happened?”

“No, I’m already wrapped around three girls’ fingers,” Steve chuckled, rubbing your belly gently.

“Three? There better only be one in there cause I’m only planing on baby number two being in there,” you chuckled.

“Oh sweetheart,” he smiled, “The third one is you.”
