#sorry but i’ve realised with some of the friends i have had long term #that i probably have outgrown them as when suggesting to do things outside of just meeting up at each others houses #we don’t do anything else #we have very different interests very different hobbies and availability #i say outgrown but i wouldn’t cut them off as they are childhood friends #but when i do meet up with them which tends to be twice in a year because that’s when they are available #it just so happens to be reminiscing about high school talking about their marriages and themselves and the issues they’ve been having #i end up feeling like i’m watching a show being played out because i’m not asked anything im not in the same era of their lives #there’s defo a grey area or wall that until i do that i won’t know or get it #and im alwyas just left feeling like i could’ve just stayed home and they just text me this #it has been voiced and addressed that we do stuff together pre plan if we have to #but it’s one of those where the marriage and husband comes first which i get #but when things go south of that then you remember me as a friend? #idk

by the time second year rolls around, as soon as kreature has left them at the apparition point, reg turns to sirius with a ridiculously serious expression for a 12yro and says “if you so much as look at me in the halls i will hex you” before marching away to the complete opposite end of the train.

at the start of fifth year, only months after sirius has been disinherited and gone to live with the potters, regulus tries desperately to catch sirius’ eye on the platform, just for a bit of recognition that they’re still brothers despite everything. regulus can see him with his friends, laughing and flouncing his hair like nothing’s even the matter. but it seems sirius remembers regulus’ childish threat. and he’s taken it to heart.

After being sick all week and working from home I’m destroyed that I actually have to GO BACK

#for the record this would never have been allowed when I was working for a school district so I’m not actually complaining #they would have made me use sick leave but still call into meetings and do do work #but here they just trusted me to wfh it’s incredible #I only complain because like any sane person I just don’t want to work but. #I’m very lucky. #also my office is like less than 10 miles from where I live so #really the only reason they said stay home is because on my Wednesday 1:1 meeting with my boss she saw me and was like “’oh you can wfh 🥹’ #so I don’t alarm my coworkers which mood because I was honestly DEATHLY ILL this week no faking #like real full fledged flu #and didn’t realize #I’m still not 100% like I still get winded and can’t finish a normal meal I typically could #but yeah I’m just saying I’m bitching but I’m actually very luck and in a much better place work wise than I was before #I just can’t believe I even suggested come in this past week I would have given everyone the bubonic plague only #like I need to get out of the mindset of if I test negative for Covid then I’m fine but they’ve conditioned us #I forgot the full on flu can also kill people and at the very least incapacitate them for a week

#tw death #once again saying things into the void on here bc i dont know where else to say it #went on a trip for a couple days for my moms birthday a couple weeks ago now #they called to tell us my dads dialysis had pretty much stopped working shortly after we were got there #insurance gave us 4 days notice to find somewhere for him to go (2 of which we were 1200 miles from home) #also was told by the place I work at i am not needed until further notice the same day #so I have no source of income until they get the necessary machine fixed and even then I am skeptical they will say to come back #since dialysis stopped working he had to be moved to hospice #which was a week ago now #so he has very little time left #my half brother and his wife came to visit him a couple days ago #now his brother is here from another state #and we took them to eat at the place they’ve always gone when they are here for as long as I can remember #on the way there we were told my grandmother was taken to the hospital in an ambulance #they don’t know what is wrong with her yet but she is 94 so her being not ok either is very plausible #we are only like 3 weeks into the year and I’ve already been soft laid off my grandmother could be dying and my dad is dying #I feel like I have been seconds away from having a complete panic attack for a week #packing up and cleaning out the assisted living (he only ended up being at 3 months) felt so wrong #it was his coffee mug and green cup of all things that got to me most #he always had them #and knowing he would never use them again #I bought his dog a new name tag today #so it has a tag when we give it to them to put in the casket with him #and i almost cried in a fucking petsmart #and now I’m here over sharing on the internet about it bc if I do not keep myself distracted I will just get more nauseous and cry more #delete later
