wack things that happened at fanime today:

- a guy in jesus cosplay was voting on the best hentai. the one asking him to vote was the joker from persona 5

- everyone fortnite danced in the ongoing plaza dance-off

- i said “nice shirt” to a guy wearing an ahegao hoodie

- my friend was dressed up as itachi uchiha. every time we came across a naruto cosplayer i would point at them and say “look bro it’s your brother in law”

- i forgot the word for hypmic for a split second while fling posse cosplayers were performing. the only thing i remembered was “mad trigger crew” and i just kept repeating it

- this one guy was maes hughes, but with the gunshot wound on his forehead

- the major groups of cosplayers were bnha, fma military alchemists, naruto, and deadpool

- i saw mo dao zu shi cosplayers 14 times. i counted

- ran across two separate komaedas within a minute of each other and never saw any again

- everyone jammed to backstreet boys no exceptions

- the fanime guidebook for 1991 was sexy half-naked anime girl

- i found more marvel merch here than at comic con 2018

- female captain america fighting red skull photoshoot. that wasn’t wack or anything i’m just including it because it was plain cool

- found an aki izayoi cosplayer. yugioh is alive and real

- there was a group of four cosplayers. one was mable, one was dipper, one was actual fucking triangle bill cipher, and the last one was dimple from mob psycho 100

- two or three people in the artist’s alley were cosplaying reigen

- iron man jamming it in the plaza

- i got to fanime at 12:50. naruto was dancing in the plaza. we came out an hour later and he was still there. he was gone for a while, but then later, when we went outside again at 4, he was back again

- in the plaza, this one spider-man began doing the Dance. you know, the one. the one from that video where the spider-men are all in a line doing the Dance. apparently everyone else there knew it too because people started following him for a split second before the music changed

- two sasukes. a million kakashis

So… apparently people can’t like things anymore?

The article I have for you all today is a doozy, so stay with me. This one is called, “What we talk about when we talk about bronies,” by: Anne Gilbert. If you don’t know what bronies are (which is surprising considering this is tumblr), they are grown men who are devotees of My Little Pony. Often seen as social misfits due to their non-normative sexuality and masculinity, the fandom is regularly criticised by outsiders. Gilbert emphasizes that this criticism is largely in part due to the highly-gendered nature of children programming, and that such outsider perspectives fail to acknowledge the benefits and pleasures the cartoon can have on the adult male audience.

A quote that stood out for me in the text was, “Participatory culture, including fandom but also produsage, cocreation, and other patterns of convergence, is lauded for its liberating potential, but can privilege young male users with disposable income and technological know-how—the perceived early adopters [...] Fandom, too, is often a gendered proposition, with factions and hierarchies divided such that feminized practices and female fans are kept separate, less valued, or outright ridiculed (Gilbert, 2015, n.p.).” While the text focuses on bronies and how “implicit preconceptions of media consumption, sexuality, masculinity, and children's media contribute to privileging particular fan identities (Gilbert, 2015),” in that bronies are criticized for indulged in a highly-feminized text, I think it is interesting that the author mentions the flip side of the situation, wherein female fans of other texts are scorned, depreciated, and often ignored.

I think it is important, before moving on to my thoughts and an example I find relevant to this discussion, to touch on what participatory culture actually means, and how to identify it in the children we care for. Essentially, participatory culture just means that rather than simply consuming media texts, individuals also produce their own media texts in response. For example, bronies dress up, connect via online and in-person groups to engage in trivia about the show, sing songs from the show, and discuss primary themes from the episodes (Gilbert, 2015, n.p.).

One thing that came to my mind when reading this article was anime. From the few anime shows I’ve seen, I would argue that the majority of them are suitable for children under 13, and are not particularly gendered in the way that My Little Pony is, however, female anime fans are no stranger to ridicule, shaming, and belittling. I wonder, why is that? Specifically, I would like to focus on the anime Naruto. I grew up on Naruto, as did many others my age. Even now, watching the episodes gives me an immense feeling of nostalgia, and I would indeed consider myself a fan. In terms of participatory culture, many fans edit fight scenes and add their own effects and music, produce visual art including the characters, and, of course, cosplay.

However, I noticed that other female fans online were receiving hate when they mentioned their interest in the series. Some comments I’ve seen on TikTok and Instagram in particular have said that female anime fans: 1) pretend to like anime to satisfy their boyfriends 2) only like anime because they are crazy obsessed with the fictional male protagonists, or 3) are simply dismissed as fake fans for literally any reason under the sun. That is, for some reason, women and girls are simply not allowed to genuinely like anime. This reminded me of the Gilbert article in that outsiders argue bronies exist for any reason other than genuine enjoyment of My Little Pony, and female anime fans are perceived similarly.

So, as caregivers, what can we do? How can we make children feel safe in their interests? One suggestion would be to embrace the child’s interests, regardless of if it is in something that is highly-gendered in their orientation or not. If they want to paint a picture of their favourite Naruto character, let them. If they want to dress up as a pony, princess, or ninja, let them. And who knows, maybe they’ll end up liking the same anime you watched at their age.

Iason (Ai no Kusabi) King of all Seme characters. Since this list is just about banging characters, I have to put him on top.

Sephiroth - (FF7) my interpretation of him post-Nibelheim: a sane, arrogant, brilliant god and wreck of a person.

Lotor - (Voltron Legendary Defender) See how high he is on my list? I have him in my ‘to cosplay’ list with not his name but with the text: “I HAVE SUCH A TYPE”. There is nothing about him that I don’t love.

Orochimaru (Naruto) His voice, his arrogance, the cheekbones, and the things he could do with that long tongue.

Uchiha Itachi / Sasuke / Madara (Naruto) I’ve been trying to choose between these three for 10 years now) (I like the artwork interpretation of the Japanese fan-artist ‘Lily’ best.)

^That is my hard-bargained top 5 in that order. Now comes the rest. I still love them tons and tons, but not as much as the ones up ^there.

Kisame (Naruto) (japanse voice actor) Terrifying face/reputation/fighting methods since he has no qualms with sawing someone’s legs off. But he would make the perfect father of a child. He is muscled, chatty, caring, thoughtful, loyal, sweet, protective and reliable. If I could bang him, I would not prick but punch holes in the condoms.

Skulduggery Pleasant (books by Derek Landy) ASREON DONT JUDGE ME. He is funny, powerful, reliable, cuttroat and has this dark edge that I really dig.

Loki (as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston) Anywhere in the timeline after he arrived on Earth. I like him under Thanos control, as I like him as ‘shit annoying little brother’. I like it when he is smug: “It buuurns, doesn’t it?” (Avengers) and when he is indignant: “We are not doing ‘get help’.” (Thor: Ragnarok) yet still plays along in the end.

Oikawa (Haikyuu) because his killer volleyball serve is too sexy, as are his mood switches and his I’m gonna fuck you up-grin. He get to me every time. (Kageyama is also somewhat a fave.)

Lord Carden - Bloodlines (Character from my needs-a-rewrite novel series, Bloodlines. Yes, I want to bang an OC, but in my defence, Lilly also once mentioned wanting to bang him. My friend Jack did too. He is a mix between Iason and Kisame: cutthroat and sexy but best dad.)

I’m still in the process of trying to figure myself out. I have lived my life as a loner or as a quiet follower (because speaking up was often discouraged in my social circles).

BUT

My younger brother recently pointed out to me that in almost every relationship there is a leader (the person who initiates plans and decides what and how) and a follower-guardian (who protects the leader from doing anything stupid, this person says “that’s not a good idea” and when they put their foot down it’s DOWN and the leader can do nothing but respect it.)

My brother told me that I’m a leader type: the person that initiates wild adventures. Not the follower-guardian. So OKAY, I’m a leader who thinks she is a follower? I don’t know if I’m sub or dom.

There is this quote I’m trying to remember, said by either a gay guy or a powerful motherly woman who helps the girl-protagonist. An american production. Intonation is kind. Couldn’t find it with google. Goes something like this:

“People won’t know whether they want to hate(/fight?) you, want to fuck (/sleep with) you or if they want to be you~

That’s the quote I want to put in here.

What I usually fall for in a character:

Most of the characters I want to bang are calm, self-assured, don’t get worried fast, and are good at what they do. They firmly hold to a certain view of life. They can hold their own in a discussion. They are NEVER lazy, they are hardworking. They never have a nihilistic approach to life, they want to gain all they can get. They have an arrogance that tastes like honey to me. That cheeky, taunting, unimpressed, underhanded, self-assured, i-know-I’m-right, tone is a drug to me. Some examples are: - “Are you sure about that?” and - “I wouldn’t do that if I were you” and - “Is that the best you can do, Cloud?” and - “Foolish little brother, you’re not strong enough, ku ku ku…” That degrading tone that puts me on my place and him on a pedestal…! Yes, I find that finger-licking attractive.

But I can never figure out if those tones appeal so much to me because they are spoken from a leader perspective as if to discipline a pet, or from a follower/guardian perspective that calmly undermines the leader’s bad idea. (”Sure Mr. King if you want to follow that route… but I’ll stay here and wait until you come back”)

My current running theory is that I’m a leader who thinks she’s a follower? I’ve not levelled up enough in life to decide where I am as a sexual partner as sub or dom or switch. I’ve been a service top/service dom to 2/3rds of my partners and in the 1/3rd of the occasions I did enjoy being sub but maybe that’s because I prioritised myself there. Usually I focus on my partner and aaaah I’m rambling RAMBLE RAMBLE. tl:dr; I need to get laaaid and figure this ouuuut with a person I truuuust.

Mai Valentine (Yu-Gi-Oh. But that says little, I’ve had crushes on almost the entire cast. Mainly Seto Kaiba and Yami-Yugi.)

Victor (Yuri-on-Ice) when he wasn’t shown as a person with feelings but still had his idol status.

Riddick - but then again, who wouldn’t do Vin Diesel as Riddick? Especially the second movie.

Aranea (FF15) She was wonderful as a character but I am still salty she was a bit of a disappointment in the narrative, I expected she would be more involved in the narrative of the game.

V (from V for Vendetta the movie) - again the humour, dark past, power, reliability. I fall in love with him every time I watch the film. But I don’t know if I would do him with his mask off? I like the grandiose idea of him.

I’m going to risk burn marks and put Azula (Avatar series) on here.

I like him especially when he is lost in darkness and arrogant. But honestly, I really like him in all timelines. I was not ready for KH3′s version. I will always love Riku.

To summarize, I like murder + power + strong worldview + smug undermining comments + smirks.

I think it is curious that I only listed male characters in my top 10. It seems that I am not as bisexual as I thought, or that modern media fails in adequate female gender representation. I could not have been offered enough female characters of the Wonder Woman quality. Now I’ll post this answer before something glitches and I lose all I typed.

Kakashi, Sasuke, Naruto, Tsunade, and Mei.

2. What are your favorite pairings?

Sasunaru/Narusasu. That is it.

3. Are you a Naruto yaoi or hentai fan?

I'm a, I-Need-My-Fav-Characters-To-Be-Happy-First fan. I don't care what happens so long as there is happiness by the end. Smut and flirtation are great and all, but not the most important thing.

4. Ever cosplayed Naruto characters?

Sasuke once, in the privacy of my room. I had half of his hairdo for a while.

A Team 7 Kaleidoscope, 2 Naruto PS2 games, a Naruto keychain, and several manga.

Yeah.

Yes! In episode 2, 3, or 4 of Naruto, there is a moment of panning over the Hokage's office and they show the photos of the former Hokage. He had the hair and eyes, and until Deidara, was the only character with similar coloring to Naruto. I started the anime in 2007, so I believed for soooo long that he was Naruto’s father!

And I actually got it right! I rarely ever get things like that right so it was a big deal for me.

12. Your favorite Akatsuki member?

Itachi. And maybe Konan.

13. Are you Pro-Sasuke or Anti-Sasuke?

Pro-Sasuke. Danzo fucked him and his entire clan over. Kid needed help but for some reason no adult thought to get him any. I’m not shocked though. Traumatized kids never seem to get the help them need. And then it’s too late.

14. Have you seen all Naruto episodes so far (including Shippuden and fillers)?

Yep. Boruto doesn't count. I ain't watching it.

15. Have you read all the chapters so far?

Yes. Except Boruto. Ain’t doing it.

No. He pays attention when he is interested and doesn't find it difficult to. If he is bored he will find other things to do. Boundless energy doesn't always mean ADD or ADHD.

Naruto. He already likes turning himself into voluptuous women. He would have had to pay intense attention(as shown by his training of Konohamaru in the Oiroke no Jutsu) to the female form and mannerisms if he can pull it off so well.

Naruto also got his father’s pretty face. Minato would be another good one I’m certain.

Naruto. I am a grudge holder and would love to see him hating Konoha for his shit life. I am not the kind to forgive easily and I don’t forget. This is why I love all the fics with him not caring about people, or being a blunt little prick.

If anyone is surprised, you haven’t been paying attention. But, without going into too much detail, him as a character helped me through some very personal issues I have, and I will always love Anders for that. Plus, my sister calls him my soul mate.

2. Ace Attorney: Klavier Gavin

Honestly, I probably would have said Edgeworth a week ago, but my nephew and I had a meta discussion about the series last time he was over, and I really saw how he was dealt this shitty hand in life, but he still is a good person and does the right thing I spite of that.

3. Game of Thrones: Sansa Stark

My mom calls my younger sister ‘her Arya’ and me 'her Sansa’ because she says they remind her of us when we were their ages. She was so proud of Sansa after last season and she gushed to everyone how Sansa reminds her of her daughter after seeing The Battle of the Bastards.

4. Fable: Reaver

He’s a grade A douche nozzle and I hate him. But I also adore him and call him 'Dad’. I will not justify his evil deeds, but I love watching him and I love interacting with him and his locations and quests are some of my favorites in the entire series. Plus, he serves as an interesting representation on how immortality in fantasy situations can lead to moral corruption.

5. Harry Potter: Hermione Granger

Make no mistake, the Weasley twins are my favorite character, but Hermione is such a strong, positive female role model, and perhaps even a WOC depending on your headcanon. I didn’t want to be a Hermione growing up, but now I realize that being compared to her is a compliment.

6. Naruto: Itachi Uchiha

I’m not in the Naruto fandom anymore, but when I was, I was all about Itachi. I still have a cosplay for him hanging up in my closet, I think. I don’t remember how exactly this happened, but Itachi was my husbando and I insisted he was a good guy before it was revealed that he was, in fact, a good guy.

7. Final Fantasy: Irvine Kinneas

Another fandom I’m not really big in anymore, but he was still my coyboy bf for a while (I like guys with ponytails, apparently). I absolutely despised him at first, but as more was revealed about his character and about how he’s not really confident, and he’s actually got self-esteem issues, is sensitive, and is a very loyal friend, I latched onto him. I still have a small figurine of him on my dresser.

8. Pokemon: Eevee

There’s a story behind my love of Eevee that has to do with my Eevee defeating the Elite Four by itself on my original copy of Pokemon Gold (it wouldn’t evolve into Espeon or Umbreon despite meeting the requirements, so I was punishing it). It’s my crowning achievement.

9. The Elder Scrolls: Sheogorath

He makes me laugh. Usually, if a character can make me laugh, they earn favorite character status.

10. Mass Effect: Grunt

I was so tempted to say Garrus or Thane. But, Grunt is my murder baby, and I love him more than anything. I imagine my Shep calls him her son and insists that Garrus is his step dad.

1. First console you’ve ever owned?

I can’t remember for certain, but I believe it was either a Nintendo 64 or a PlayStation.2. First game you played?

Oh gosh, that’s a hard one to remember, too. I’m going to say Pokemon Stadium, since that is the first game that I can vividly remember playing.3. Favorite childhood game?

Specifically as a child? Probably Pokemon or Shadow of the Colossus. Or Final Fantasy. My favorites haven’t really changed.4. Longest consecutive hours you’ve played a game?

Hm… Probably around half or more of an entire game. I’ve spent ALOT of time into Pokemon in particular.

5. Game with the best soundtrack?

This is a hard one. There are so many amazing video game soundtracks! I’ll say Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, any Final Fantasy, and Okami.6. An underrated game from within the last few years?

OH GOSH. The Last Story, definitely. That is a really amazing game that deserves a remaster.7. Most disappointing game you’ve played?

I’m not sure. Most of the games that I’ve played are games that I’ve played before at a friend’s house, so I knew beforehand if I would like it enough to play it or not. I will say Gary’s Mod, though. I don’t really get the appeal, and it wasn’t really fun the round of Prop Hunt that I played.8. The game with the best atmosphere/scenery?

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS. The scenery is so beautiful, even though it seems empty and barren to some people. It’s just vast, and there are good varieties in the environment. I thoroughly enjoyed going through the landscape and exploring every bit of the world that I could.9. Last game you played?

Basara 4 Sumeragi with a friend. It was fun~10. Prefer PC or console?

Console. I’m not sure why, but I just don’t really like the idea of using a computer to play video games and stuff on. I use that for school work, working on artwork or stories, and watching YouTube or something. Not really games beside visual novels.11. Have you written any fanfic or made any fanart?

Oh, HAVE I. It’s a bit embarrasing, really. I think the ‘best’ one that I made was one for Samurai Warriors. It’s called Dear Agony. It’s not finished, but it’s one that I’ve always wanted to finish.12. Most bizarre game you’ve ever played?

Let’s see… I’m not sure. If we mean bizarre as in a weird or an ‘interesting’ experience, I guess DRAMAtical Murder would be the most bizarre. It was…an experience to go through the…situations that happened in that game. I like the story and the characters (most of them), but there were just some moments that would have been better without.13. Scariest game you’ve played?

That I have played personally? Probably The Evil Within. I would say Resident Evil 4, but there are only a couple of parts in that game that truly terrify me. I can only spend a few minutes with each session of The Evil Within before I feel too stressed out to play it.14. Do you watch playthroughs online?

Sometimes, for games that I don’t really think I’ll play or for tips. Sometimes I’ll watch people I like online play games that I like or have played as well. It just depends on the Youtuber.15. Favorite animal in a video game?

It’s a REALLY hard decision, but I would say Agro from Shadow of the Colossus, Epona from Legend of Zelda, Repede from Tales of Vesperia, and Trico from The Last Guardian. I can’t pick one.16. The best year in gaming you’ve experienced?

2016 was a pretty good year, mostly because two games that I’ve been looking forward to came out last year (Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian). Another good year was either ‘05 or ‘06, since that’s when I played alot of my favorites, like Final Fantasy VII and Grandia III.17. Have a video game themed background or lockscreen?

N-no! …..Almost all the time. If it doesn’t pertain to an anime, then it’s more than likely related to video games. Right now my lockscreen is Noctis and my phone background is the special artwork for the FFVII remake that was released recently. My computer background is Gladion and Silvally from Pokemon Sun.18. Worst game you’ve played?

Shadow Warrior. That was not a game that appealed to me at all. I gave it a shot, and it was just…no.19. Hardest game you’ve ever played?

Probably something like Bloodborne. It’s a game that I’m not used to playing, and a game that I would normally avoid. I try not to get super angry with things, even though it happens all the time regardless.20. Favorite publisher and/or developer?

Probably Square Enix or Team ICO. 21. If you had to play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Shadow of the Colossus or the whole series of Final Fantasy VII. Or maybe Final Fantasy XV.22. If you could turn one game into movie, which would it be?

As long as it’s a good rendition of the game, probably The Last Story. I feel like that would be a really beautiful movie.23. Favorite genre of video game?

Action or adventure, more than likely. It’s a wide genre that most or all of my games have in common.24. Ever cried because of a video game? Which one(s)?

There have been too many emotional times in video games for me to just list here. I will try to list the ones that impacted me the most. Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XV, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Story.25. Proudest accomplishment in gaming?

Being able to defeat Sephiroth when no one else could. I’ve beaten him in every game that I have that he appears in. I’ve had people ask me to beat him in Kingdom Hearts II, almost begging.26. How often do you play online? Co-op?

I don’t play online ever. I don’t really like playing with other people. I’ll play co-op with friends. Whenever we feel like playing Basara, Dynasty Warriors, or Samurai Warriors, we’ll play together.27. Have you gotten any friends into gaming?

OH BOY. Most of my friends are gamers. That’s basically a requirement for being my friend. Although I did get one friend who didn’t really game before into playing games, like Pokemon Channel.28. Who got YOU into gaming?

I can’t remember. I guess technically my parents. I remember my dad playing Tomb Raider alot when I was younger, and they didn’t really have a problem with me and my brother playing games.29. Watch cutscenes or skip them?

Watch. I love story, so I watch cutscenes. Although if I’ve seen a scene too much because I keep losing a boss fight (freaking Riku in Hollow Bastion in the first Kingdom Hearts), I’ll skip it.30. On average, how long does it take you in the character creation screen?

I try not to spend too much time there. I don’t really like elaborate character creation stuff, so I tend to avoid games like Skyrim and Dragon Age. I would say maybe 5 or 10 minutes.31. Game with the best theme song?

I’m not sure of that, either. There are a good bit of games with great theme songs. I’ll say Final Fantasy XV. The cover of Stand By Me was really great.32. Do you cosplay?

I cosplayed once, but it wasn’t anything special or any good. I don’t really have the talent with clothes and stuff to do that.33. Favorite female npc?

Of all time? Probably Aerith. She’s always so precious and amazing. And she’s a person who seems girly and like she can’t defend herself, but she can prove very easily that she can save herself if necessary.34. Favorite male npc?

Since there are too many to list more than likely, I’ll think of the first one that comes to mind… Therius from The Last Story. He had really great character development, and he’s just a really cool character in general. He’s a great example of a knight.35. Best protagonist?

Oh no, this question. I’m not sure again. Too many good people. I will say Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII or Wander from Shadow of the Colossus.36. Best antagonist?

Hm, antagonist… Maybe Caius from Final Fantasy XIII, or Kuja from Final Fantasy IX.37. Ever been made fun of for playing video games?

Nothing too extensive. I was pretty quiet, so not many people knew what I did and didn’t like. 38. Have you tried a game, hated it, then tried again, and loved it?

That would be Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII, although I wouldn’t say that I hated them. I couldn’t get them at first. It was either the Sphere Grid, the License Board, or the battle system, but I just couldn’t play them when I was younger. I tried them both again recently, and it seems like something finally clicked and I had no trouble whatsoever with playing them. I have a new adoration for them now.39. Do you play for achievements/trophies?

Eh, they aren’t that important. If I like the game enough, then I might go for a complete trophy list, but other than that as long as I enjoy the game I’m good.40. Favorite voice actor?

FRICK NO. This one is really hard. There are too many awesome seiyuu, so I’ll just say my favorite voice actor. That would be Crispin Freeman. He voices characters like Haji from Blood+ and Itachi Uchiha from Naruto.41. Gone to a midnight release before?

Yeah, I’ve gone to one myself, for Final Fantasy XV. I have worked a couple while at GameStop.42. A game you will never forget (in a bad OR good way)?

I’ll always have a gross memory of Shadow Warrior. It was just….too weird. 43. Favorite sidekick or companion?

Would you count animals? ‘Cause it would be Agro, Epona, Repede, and Trico again.44. Do graphics matter?

Not entirely. Some of my favorite games are older and not as good in the graphics department as recent games. Although if a game has really great graphics, I most certainly won’t complain.45. Do you like funny or more serious games?

I tend to lean toward serious games, but I don’t mind if they have funny moment in them. I like comic relief, especially in games with stressful storylines or situations.46. Always, sometimes, or never use subtitles?

It depends on the game. Or if I’m playing it in English or not.47. First person or Third person?

Third person, all the way. I’m not a huge fan of first person.48. A game you’ve always wanted to play but have never gotten to it?

Kamigami no Asobi. I’m sure there are a couple more, but that’s the only one that I can think of. I hope they bring it over to the US someday.49. A game you haven’t played in forever, but want to replay?

Any game that I like, really. But I guess if I have to list anything specific, Final Fantasies that I like, Shadow of the Colossus, Pokemon, The Last Story, and The Last Guardian.53. Your most immersive game?

Resident Evil 4, probably. That game somehow made it feel like what happened to Leon was actually happening to me. 54. A sequel you really want?

Honestly, a sequel or at least an explanation to the secret ending of Dirge of Cerberus. I won’t spoil anything just in case, but that last scene just leaves a big ‘What now?’ question that has never been answered. 55. How much time, on average, do you play in a week?

I’m not sure of an exact amount. I try to play as much as I can between school and work.56. Do you tell people irl that you play video games?

Of course. Why wouldn’t I? It’s something that I enjoy doing and something that I have to be able to connect with other people.57. What is an overrated game you’ve played?

I’ll say Fire Emblem Awakening, since I’ve been seeing alot of people saying that about it and that you’re not a true fan if you’ve only played Awakening, Birthright, or Conquest. (whoops, I played all three)58. Ever have someone walk in on a sex scene between you and you LI?

I have no idea what that is, but I have had my mom walk into my room and want to talk to me when I was playing DRAMAtical Murder. A couple of times had been during an awkward scene.59. A game you are looking forward to this year?

Breath of the Wiiiiild. I feel like it’s going to be a really great addition to the series. 60. The game you are best at?

Probably Shadow of the Colossus. I’ve gotten to the point where I can beat every Colissi in less than a day.61. A game you know everything about?

I won’t say everything, but I have more knowledge than I know what to do with about Final Fantasy VII. I’ve done alot of reading and research about stuff that happens in that game.62. Would you want to work with video games when you are older?

Of course. I don’t know if I can do the techy stuff, but I would love to create storyboards or art for a game.63. What’s a game that has inspired you?

Pretty much any game that I’ve played, really. I feel like each one carries a sort of message that I take away from it when I play it. Some more…friendly than others.64. Describe your favorite video game using only three words?

I can’t even begin to express how bad it is that the PS4 has an option to screenshot. I have so many from FFXV that it’s ridiculous.66. Game with the yummiest looking food?

FINAL FANTASY XV. I want to experience Ignis’s cooking for myself. It looks TOO good.67. Most violent game you’ve played?

That would be either Bloodborne or Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Both games are really violent and gory, buuuuut they’re pretty fun.68. An older game that you’ve just recently gotten into?

I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, but a friend of mine gave me a copy of Legend of Dragoon. I’ve always wanted to play it, and I’m looking forward to trying it soon.69. Your first LI?

Again, NO idea what that means, so I’ll just ignore this one.70. Do you play any mobile games?

A couple, but not nearly as much as on my consoles. I have at the moment Love Live!, Terra Battle, Pokemon Go, and Fire Emblem Heroes.71. A game you can’t stop talking/thinking about at the moment?

Final Fantasy XV. It’s really amazing, and has been a truly great experience, even though it seems like it’s getting nothing but complaints and hate. I know that people still enjoy the game but think it’s unfinished, but I personally have loved every moment of it, even the moments when I wanted to throw my controller across the room because of a frustrating enemy.72. Have any guilty pleasure games?

Ripping the spines out of cyborgs in Metal Gear Rising. It’s way more fun that it should be, and it’s very stress relieving for me.73. A game with the best fandom?

The Last Story. It isn’t that bad with shipping and stuff.74. Which game has the best lore?

Not sure. I think most of the games that I play have really great stories and lore to them. I don’t really play games where the storyline doesn’t interest me.75. Do you focus on main storyline/quest or do sidequests first?

I try to even the two out. I try to go through the plot when I feel like it, but I also make sure to do sidequests so that I’m not underleveled or I can get weapons or items that are hard to get in the main game.
