i actually think i have some sort of brain damage from chapter 403 because now ive taken my bkdk obsession to a whole new degree. like, i was insane before, but now i feel as if i should be genuinely put into an asylum.

ive gone through a full on awakening.

before this chapter i refused to believe that bkdk would become canon/hinted bc like its wishful thinking. but now? ive fallen into the fucking deep end. i am of full belief that bkdk will become canon or at least be hinted bc horikoshi is cooking something and im so glad im not the only one to see it.

there is no way that man doesnt know what hes doing. bkdks entire arc has been fucking perfect and this man just keeps BUILDING UP. like all this talk about feelings, and how bkdk have never really spoken about them to eachother before??? this is like, building up to a fucking love confession i swear, because katsuki DIED for izuku, and izuku cant control his heart when it comes to katsuki, and like… what other explaination is there? atp i consider it canon that theyre in love with each other.

and the other most likely ship that i thought was gonna be canon, izuocha, just is not feasible. its not like i dislike the ship, no hate to it at all, but making it canon would be so fucking harmful to izuku and ochakos characters and we dont talk about that enough. it would a dissapointing, flat conclusion with barely any build up and itd be the bland, predictable formula. like, ochako has already basically wrapped up her thing with izuku with that entire fight with toga. shes admitted herself that her crush on izuku was more admiration than anything of massive substance. and dont even get me started on izuku. barring some fluster and embarrassed blushing in the early seasons, this boy has NOT reciprocated AT ALL. its actually ridiculous. izuku has been focused on like, two things only: hero work, and kacchan. izuku does not show ANY romantic feeling to ochako whatsoever.

surely, surely if horikoshi were to make this canon, he’d put in a little more effort? add some more chemistry, more development, more than just ‘boy meets girl. blush and get shy. little crush. get married. the end’?

that is bad storytelling, and horikoshi is anything but a bad storyteller. this guy adds foreshadowing YEARS before the chapter. horikoshi is INSANE when it comes to character + relationship + plot development. if horikoshi throws all that out the way, and makes izuocha canon, id be extremely, extremely disappointed. not because i hate the ship, but because itd be out of nowhere, disregard practically ALL development, and be nauseatingly dissatisfying.

talking of which, for the entire day ive been thinking about the foreshadowing for bkdk.

there. is. so. fucking. much. it feels like everytime i read like a new section of the manga, their relationship is described in the most frutti tutti rainbow gay way. im sorry, shigafo, did you just say that katsuki is closer to izuku than ANYONE else? excuse me, aizawa, did you just describe them as pair, a pair that the class revolves around? dont even mention the shit that izuku and katsuki say referring to each other. i cant even choose one to add in here, but every out of context bkdk quote has like these SEVERE more-than-platonic undertones, especially when you consider their past and their development. i feel like horikoshi has been doing some fucking insane foreshadowing for something MORE.

yk, i keep on thinking about how in the double spread in 403, the words ‘the beginning’ are displayed right over bkdk, as they find each other. call me delusional, but that has to be on purpose. i also keep on thinking about izukus green and orange gloves in so many official arts, and the light in both their eyes when they see each other, and the way theyre both always observing the other, never speaking about how they feel directly.

their relationship is just so, so……. and i feel like the only next step is for them to talk. just. fucking. talk. its been hinted at for so long, and horikoshi is doing SOMETHING.

them simply being together would be the most satisfying, developed, beautiful ending.

if they arent canon, i will die. ill say it now. bkdk canon. there is too much proof. as a writer, i know for a fact that i write everything for a REASON. why would horikoshi write this, if he wasn’t going to do anything with it?

bkdk will be canon. i dont care if i sound insane, or get proved entirely wrong. i now fully believe that the last page of the manga will be bkdk at a theme park eating crepes.

Raven and Astarion are basically just "Charlatan to Charlatan communication" without either realizing it because neither of them are very open about their pasts at first and in the scenario where Astarion enacts his simple plan on Raven he has no idea he is breaking Rule 0: Don't try to con another conman (or conwoman in this case).

Raven knows exactly what he's doing but she just doesn't tell him she knows until later because the game is fun.

Asra: remains completely unaffected because they've been using magic to cope with discomfort their entire life. Just touch his arm - he feels like he's been in air conditioning all day. They're very tuned in to you though, and they do love to swim, so you can expect them to drag you to the nearest lake or waterfall

Nadia: Prakra is in the tropics, so if anything, things just feel a little more like home to her. she'll pour herself a few extra cups of chilled tea and carry on like nothing's amiss. if you so much as make a comment about it, though, she'll draw a cool bath and use the heat as an excuse to spend an afternoon with you

Muriel: Vesuvia's already way warmer than he would like it to be so this is absolutely miserable for him. the hut is already constructed to be nice and cool year round, but if it's looking like a heatwave he'll just start packing for the steppe and invite you to come with him (seriously, who would willingly stay in this?)

Portia: actually enjoys hot weather - the sun is out, the world is bright and happy, she can leave all those fussy layers behind and enjoy some solid outside time! Copes by wearing the minimum amount of clothing required, lots of deodorant, sunscreen, and a damp straw hat. Won't judge you for staying indoors though

Lucio: suffers 2.0 but LOUDLY! This is awful! It's too hot and too bright and it's hurting his eyes and it's making him burn and it's making him sweat and it's making his bag heavy and it's making the dogs sticky and it's ruining his hair and makeup and - visit the scourgelands? actually never mind, this is fine

HAY its been a while (by crazy workaholic me standards) the last couple of chapters have been lowkey angsty so i decided to do a mostly fluffy silly one this time! i went back to the sketchy style. no real reason i just missed drawing in it,. perhaps it'll stay or go??? i tend to experiment a lot!!!! i did the panels manually instead of relying on CSP's masking tool thingmajig and i feel it allowed me to be more versatile with my paneling. i wanna experiment with it!

this took a while because i begrudgingly got hit with other-series brainrot (of the "my favorite character died so im formulating a whole AU in my head where he survives" variety). hopefully that next Sandrock update will kick me back into gear!!!

for now i will take care of the other-series brainrot in private because im still deathly afraid of MMORPG fandoms. ive got the next several chapters (which are basically a couple of arcs) outlined so i just gotta draw them out!

Michael was a regular at the local diner- so much so that they knew him by name and started making his usual order the second they saw him parking and heading in.

Trevor and Brad used to dare each other to do increasingly stupid and dangerous shit. Several of these instances resulted in Trevor having to get a rabies shot. That being said, they totally weren’t the reason that Michael found a raccoon in his bathroom…twice.

Brad and Trevor absolutely made each other worse. Brad only ever smoked weed really before meeting Trevor. But Trevor introduced him to things like coke, meth, and heroin and got him hooked almost instantly. After Brad was just as doped up on the shit as Trevor was, they’d feed off each others bad ideas- taking more drugs to see what they could handle, getting black out wasted and going for races down the highway, robbing liquor stores and even houses just for the fun of it and leaving bodies in their wake with sloppy to no cover up of evidence. Separately they were both dangerous, but together they were literally hell on earth.

Despite the sarcasm and occasional bickering, Lester considered Michael something like his best friend. Lester keeps himself guarded and he’s very much out for just himself and his own self interest, but he and Michael are closer than he’s ever been with any other person, which makes Michael his closest friend by default even if he will argue it.

Michael was well aware that Amanda was into Brad. He’s unsure if they ever hooked up, but he knows she did want him. She found Brad attractive- tall, big, strong, and his crazy personality was fun. But she picked Michael for being stable, kinder, and a long term option (and for free tits). Michael still counted it as a win.

Trevor was invited, but didn’t come to Michael and Amanda’s wedding. Michael getting married crushed him, and he went totally off the radar for almost a month after- getting black out drunk, high, and slaughtering hitchhikers in an effort to feel anything but the pain of having his best friend “stolen” from him.

Physical fights weren’t uncommon between the trio- mostly between Michael and Brad. Occasionally, Trevor and Brad would argue over stupid shit and fight. Trevor and Michael fist fought the rarest, but nearly every time they did fight, Trevor would cry after. Not usually in front of the others, but after disappearing on his own, getting high, and convincing himself that this was the fight that was going to make Michael abandon him.

Trevor remembers the exact date and time that he and Michael met. He lovingly refers to it as their “anniversary”.

The phrasing secretly pissed off both Amanda and Brad. Michael acted like he hated it, but was actually sort of endeared by it.

Brad was the first one to suggest he and Trevor go off on their own. Trevor only agreed a few weeks later after truly looking for the fact that Michael was pulling away from him. Honestly, Brad felt toward Trevor the way that Trevor feels toward Michael. He was obsessive, possessive, and hated how attached to Michael that Trevor was instead of seeing that he was “the better option”. Trevor was his person and he hated sharing him with Michael.

Trevor was, surprisingly, the peacekeeper frequently between the group. Whenever Michael would get angry about the crazy shit Trevor and Brad would get up to, Trevor would nag at him and make jokes until, often, Michael would back down and let it go. Brad would often go out of his way to say or do things to make Michael angry- enter Trevor defusing the situation before it came to blows or a shoot out. He started his fair share of fights between everyone too though with his antics and loud mouth.

Michael would pick up strippers and sex workers frequently in each town they went to- mostly slightly younger women to feel like he was reliving his “glory days”. Trevor always seemed to pick up MILFS from every bar he stopped at- older ladies love him and he loves older women who dote on him. Brad always had two or three girlfriends in each city- occasionally they’d all find out about each other and gang up to slash his tires or kick his ass when he came back through town.

Trevor hated being alone and made any excuse to share rooms when at random motels or safe houses. There could be two open motel rooms with extra beds or they could be staying in a three bedroom safe house, but either Michael or Brad would, more often than not, wake up with Trevor in bed with them or asleep on the floor beside their bed.

Brad was born into the system, and lived his whole childhood in foster care until he aged out of the system and was left to figure it out on his own. He was used to living in homes with a max of ten other kids and became very possessive of things/people (Trevor) as he was convinced they’d get taken away. And he was not good at sharing or coexisting in a space with people he didn’t like (Michael).

That being said, Brad shared almost everything with Trevor: clothes, girls, food they’d order at a diner, beds, practically everything.

Michael secretly wished, more than anything, that Trevor would calm down and grow up. Trevor was his best friend, and he did want him in his life and to be a part of his kids' lives. But between the drugs, his crazy lifestyle, and his refusal to slow down, Michael knew it was too dangerous to keep things up how they were.

(You mentioned it, and I think I’ve heard it other places too so I guess it’s just like a collective headcanon?? Or maybe it’s canon?? I seriously don’t know?) But Michael was a little older than Trevor. Maybe by like two or three years. But then Brad was younger than Trevor by a year or two also- making him like four or five years younger than Michael. And giving Michael the excuse of “being older and smarter” in his arguments about why his decisions were correct.

Trevor secretly hoped for a time that one day Michael would come to him and admit how “wrong” he’d been for marrying Amanda and they would run off together and live life how they used to back in their twenties when they first met.

Just a thought;

Marco had known for a long time, his fruit was.. different. To be blunt there was a phoenix inside of him, a real phoenix. Marco was no more than a vessel, container. A puppet made of flesh in hopes of controlling the god. He had only spoken to it once, when the wretched fruit had been swallowed and his body destroyed itself from the inside out in as the phoenix made him into its new container. Every once in a while the phoenix would take over; during one of these episodes It had become very fond of Pops. Marco never asked what had happened. Usually when the phoenix would come out as it were, Marco or rather his subconscious would go into a sleeping state or black out as he was booted out of the drivers seat. Most knew to stay away when Marcos eyes changed from indigo to the colour of his flames (the only physical indication the phoenix was in charge).

Marco hadn’t been thinking, well he had but how he was supposed to predict this outcome he had no idea. He had been on deck when Ace started showing off with his fire; less attacks and more parlour tricks for the crew. Marco didn’t know what happened only that the fire had caught his eye, there was the strangest sensation of déjà vu and then he was moving without his permission. He stalked towards Ace a hunger roiling in his gut that he was almost certain was not his own. Ace had dropped his flames and was opening his mouth in greeting. When Marco pulled him into a deep kiss, well to be more exact Marcos body pulled him into a kiss. Marco himself was screaming (internally that is) because what the hell!?! Letting go, but keeping his hands on the younger man, a thumb stroking Aces cheek in a reverent manner. Marco spoke in something that could hardly constitute as his voice.

The phoenix purred, even as several tears escaped its eye. “I found you, My Eclipse.” Ace felt bamboozled a little turned on and for some reason sad. “Wha- who?” His flames roared through his body. Marco, or at least the man who looked like Marco; save the eyes gave a heartbreaking smile. Still stroking his cheek, “my love.” He murmured, “My Wild.”

Ok ok hang on cause ive been thinking about something in tristamp and i havent seen anyone else talk about it so i wanna ramble about my source of brainrot-

Tristamp rant w/ spoilers under the cut w/ some minor trimax/98 tidbits

And i cant believe no ones talked about it yet? Or maybe i just havent seen it, but in trigun stampede when Vash is fighting Livio on the sandsteamer and Livio kicks Vash away before Wolfwood gets to him and ya know how vash doesnt immediately get back up?

Well I thought that was kinda weird, considering youve got a guy whos clearly not there mentally with two automatic guns willing to shoot anyone who gets close to him, theres no way vash wouldnt get right back up to continue trying to stop him, but maybe hes trying to give wolfwood his chance, right? But then why does he stay down when Livio aims the gun at himself? For someone who can react fast enough to shoot a bullet out of the air with perfect aim, and wants to save everyone, why didnt he get up to stop him?

So in each rewatch of the show, i would keep looking, and i realized. Its another one of those small details that isnt ever acknowledged or talked about, but if you watch, Livio kicks Vash in the left side of his chest, and when Vash sits back up, he has his hand up over that side of his chest

We still havent clearly seen whats going on on the left side of Vash's chest in tristamp, but since theres clearly at least a scar there, and in trimax/98 he has a metal grate, its easy to come to the conclusion that whatever happened to the left side of his chest was(is) bad, if livio kicking him kept vash down long enough to be unable to save him from killing himself

I know its one of those things you can easily look over, as that would seem like a normal human reaction to having your chest kicked hard enough to send you flying back several feet, but taking into account that Vash is a plant with supernatural healing, and in episode 10 he just basically walks off a gunshot to the gut AND in ep 12 when hes shot down with MULTIPLE bullet wounds he still gets back up fairly quickly (considering a human would most likely be down and out for the count with 4(?) bullets in em) so im wondering if maybe in tristamp theyre even paying attention to the old injuries vash got that were bad enough to Scar a Plant that can Heal himself, and/or maybe how the metal implants in his body could affect him??

Cause i did also notice that tristamp vash had less visible physical scarring, but more metal implants, and im thinkin maybe theyre leanin into the "healing powers" plants have, meaning that maybe plants dont scar as easily as humans, like when wolfwood drinks his vials and ends up 100% fine after being turned into swiss cheese with no scarring (a separate post about conrad being a plant scientist) which ALSO means that any scars Plants DO get, means that it was REALLY. REALLY BAD. Also a separate post about trimax vash possibly going through a litteral blender to end up with those scars as a plant.

TBH ive been thinking of occasionally just drawing one big collage of various characters i enjoy outside of enstars (but im lazy and the brainrot is like SO severe) BUT WHO KNOWS!! hi vee im having brainrot so im coming to bother you . i think you would really enjoy hi fi rush ...... similar general mechanics to mad rat dead and metal hellsinger (i assume) where you move and attack on the beat and its great . hfr is a bit more of a like... action game or beat em up game or whatever though . idk genres ^.^" other than that though it is also . very nice looking and very compelling and very funny. the amount of times this game has made me just straight up start laughing irl is too many. im not done with it yet but i am Really enjoying it . ok bye hope this wasnt an actual bother !!!!!!!

HC that Saitama was very neglected since young and he doesn't really realize the severity of it until he is very sick and Genos is taking care of him and Saitama doesn't understand why Genos is taking care of him and slips out that he would have to go buy his own meds when sick and Genos is just shocked by that because why wouldnt his parents help him, and Saitama just cant answer. Throughout the days he becomes very grateful of Genos helping him and is glad he doesnt have to do this alone.

BUT, I'm here, I've read it. And ow.

Saitama being genuinely clueless as to why Genos is helping, too. Like, it's not that kind of confusion that's just mutated insecurities, or the kind where he doesn't know why Genos would put in the effort. It's the kind where he genuinely doesn't know why it's such an issue. He doesn't understand why a 5, maybe 6, year-old little 'Tama walking half a mile to the nearest pharmacy to get cold medicine and (sometimes) painkillers using what little money he could scavenge around the house, while he was ill is such an issue. I mean, he got his medicine in the end, right? What does it matter that he struggled to walk that far back then? Or that sometimes he couldn't afford all of it, so he would get just the bare minimum? Or that, in most cases, these things happened during the winter or fall?

Of course, he doesn't tell Genos any of those stories, just mentions how it usually went. Walk to the pharmacy, get the meds, come back home. He knew the borg would have the robo-equivalent of a heart attack if he told him any of the more detailed, downright concerning tales of his med adventures. But when Genos asks why his parents never helped, he's at a genuine loss, because why would they have? It's not like it was their responsibility to take care of him like that. Besides, he was capable of doing things on his own. That's what he's always been taught (in some indirect way. His parents never told him things like that straightforwardly, so he just had to figure them out eventually).

Again, he doesn't say anything outloud. Doesn't see a need to. He doesn't say anything at all, really. Just shrugs.

Genos isn't having any of that, so for the next few days, he is smothering him in not only intense affection and care, but also in blankets and pillows. Wet towels for when his body feels to hot, his heating hands and arms (sometimes entire body) when he's feeling too cold. He makes soups and teas with a spoonful of honey in each cup (he immediately implemented them in when Saitama shared the knowledge that honey helps a lot with coughs). During the moments, sometimes even days, where Saitama was particularly delirious, he would stay right by his side, only separating to make him food, then coming back to cuddle him. He was patient with all his weird little questions or his bouts of intense clinginess.

There were times where Saitama would insist he was fine, he could do it on his own. He felt spoiled from start to finish, from catching the sickness to recovery, and it made him feel weird—useless and a burden. But Genos always assured him that he was neither.

When he recovered (a lot faster than he ever had before), he still felt weird about it. But he'd be lying if he said he didn't appreciate it all. Or that it didn't feel nice to be cared about so much.

He thanks Genos, but Genos just tells him that there was not thanks to be given. He'd help him, care for him, in a heartbeat.

currently reading: on audiobook east of eden - john steinbeck. also solaris - stanislaw lem (which I have been reading for the past 4 months) after these I have a whole list, including the books I got halfway through and stopped (are we seeing a pattern)

currently obsessed with: nothing really? it's unfortunate because im between interests right now :/ ive been really into going to the gym lately but that's a bad answer getting medicated for adhd maybe. the past two days it's been east of eden. always and forever one moment away from talking nonstop about never let me go - kazuo ishiguro. a few weeks ago I watched the summer i turned pretty and that gave me severe brainrot.
