it was almost nauseating how devoted yuri was to mari—the way he consecrated every last resource available to him for her sake; and her sake alone. "i only have mari," yuri's dulcet voice always expressed saccharine words when questioned, "and she only has me." ⋯⋯ so why did she get taken away from him?

— ♡ imagine young!yuri plucking flowers (in a place he wasn't suppose to be, no less) to give to you—his boyish face is exuding jubilation at the mere thought of having gotten you a present, but by the time he reaches you and shows them, they're crushed between his fingers. and they were weeds (like his predaplant deck).

yet your cute little lips curved into a benign smile, receiving the mangled bundle of weeds with affection. "thank you, yu-kun! these are perfect⋯ because they came from you!"

the words were so simple, a sentiment anyone could replicate with a hopeful heart, but to yuri, your praise was sacred.

— ♡ young!yuri perpetually sneaking into your room to cuddle, a new book tucked under his arm. he's bringing you new books to read together all the time, learning about all sorts of things or fantastical tales.

the two of you swathe yourselves in copious blankets and pillows, creating a hallowed space that belongs only to you, and use flashlights and puerile glow-in-the-dark toys to light the way as he reads aloud to you.

"and the princess and the hero lived happily ever after! ⋯ mari, don't you feel sad for the villain? doesn't he deserve the princess as much as the hero? i think he deserves happiness, too."

— ♡ "whoops, be careful," yuri's soft voice chirped against her ear as she nearly plummeted backwards—but, thankfully, the alluded boy adeptly caught her into his arms. "we wouldn't want you getting hurt now~"

with yuri's arms still tautly roped around mari, she writhed as wavelets of heat emanated from his body and into hers. "th-thanks, yu-kun," mari decorously expressed her gratitude, heaving a diminutive sigh to quell the pounding of her heart. "uh, you can let go of me now⋯?"

the words fumbling from her lips was adorable—yuri really liked mari's abashed countenance, too. he gripped his arms tighter, teasingly whispering, "can't we stay like this for a bit longer? i don't want you tripping again so soon, after all."

pouting, mari retorted, "i'm not that clumsy!"

"haha, i know, i know," yuri chortled, "but having you in my arms makes me feel complete, okay?"

I think the moment I realized that I hated Arc V was not during the Battle Beast arc, not during the horrible XYZ arc due to how rushed it all was, but when Yugo and Yuri dueled.

These two have been hyped up for the LONGEST time, the one that took Rin away from him and the one that is fightning to avenge her back, has been hyping it up for like 90 - 80 episodes, and when they were near, one of the two were teleported away or were hypnotized by "BECOME ONE!" thing, and when they do, what do they do?

Start of by summoning their ace monsters, good start, but then they start speaking "Become one!" shit for like...5 episodes? and we haven't seen them for that amount of time either! So when we FINALLY get the time to duel, Kite and Aster join the duel, why, try to snap out of Yugo, a guy that I am pretty sure they haven't met once, and not attack the clearly tougher opponent, why, then they get knocked out in one turn by Yuri, and then we finally get a one on one duel, so great, can we FINALLY see them duel for an episode or two? NO! Their duel didn't even last 10 FUCKING minutes, as the episode was more focused on Declan and Riley's duel...

...WHY?!

Why would you build up such a good idea for a duel, only to fail HORRIBLY?!

I like to imagine that, while a little sad, Yuzu can't hear the voices of her interdimensional counterparts like Yuya can.
