Witch female little reader x Josie Saltzman
Warnings: one swear word?
A/n: A little short blurb, but cute
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Josie looks up from her book, her eyes landing on you playing with a Black Widow, Winter Soldier, and Captain America dolls. You're making Black Widow and Captain America fight while Bucky's sitting, watching them.
You're making small fighting noises, full concentration on the toys.
She smiles and runs her hand through your hair before going back to her book.
it's been ten minutes before you fling Captain America off the bed, Black Widow's leg sticking up. Making it look as though she kicked him.
"Well, what did poor Captain America do to her?" Josie looks over the bed.
"Natty a badass" You hold Black Widow up closer to Josie.
"Oh, sweetie, I'm glad you're having fun, but remember what we agreed on? No swearing" Josie wraps her arm around you.
"Hmph. Otay Jo-Jo" you snuggle into her side. She leans down and places a kiss on your forehead.
hard to get — kai parker x reader
Tumblr media
☄. *. ⋆
content warnings and genre: swearing, alcohol consumption, clichés — drama
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
synopsis: you were the girl next door, he was the devil's advocate. you liked your russian literature, he liked his women—all of them, in fact.
✧.*
the parties took place on the front lawn of 4347, mystic falls, every sunday afternoon. despite the supernatural secrets lurked around every corner, it never got in the way of the little girls of your quiet neighborhood. lizzie saltzman wpuld bring the tea set, which was appropriate, since she was the hostess. hope mikaelson provided formal attire from her deceased mother's closet. and josie saltzman invited the additional guests—stuffed animals for each of the girls—some of whom hadn't been to a party in years. of course, it never occurred to the three young girls, that while they were busy playing out their fantasy, one of the older girls in the neighborhood was engaging in a fantasy of her own.
your were the walking cliché embodiment of the good girl next door – quick-witted, kind-hearted, and always ready with a sharp retort. your life had a predictable rhythm until the day you crossed paths with a neanderthal. up until that point, you had a thing going on. you were there, every morning, a book in one hand with a coffee cup in the other, basking in what the day had in store for you on your front porch.
kai, who was an enigmatic playboy with a smirk that could melt hearts and a reputation for leaving a trail of broken promises, set his sights on you the moment he saw you with bonnie bennett. he sauntered over, confidence radiating from every step, and leaned against your picket fence. “hey there, gorgeous,” he purred, blue eyes dancing with mischief. “mind if i join your afternoon?”
you barely glanced up from your book, arching an eyebrow. “is this the part where i'm supposed to swoon and hand you my heart?” your tone dripped with sarcasm as you turned the page, ignoring his presence.
kai chuckled, undeterred. “i like a challenge,” he replied, flashing his signature grin. “so, what's a smart and stunning girl like you doing with a book like that?”
“reading it and wondering how many times i've heard that line,” you shot back, your lips quirking into an amused smile.
undaunted, kai persisted. day after day, he found new ways to engage with you in conversation, each attempt met with a witty retort. it became a dance of words and glances, a tantalizing game you played on the quiet streets of mystic falls.
“i have a feeling you're just waiting for me to sweep you off your feet,” kai teased one afternoon, leaning on the hood of his car as you walked by.
you chuckled, raising an eyebrow. “and i have a feeling you're mistaking me for someone who would willingly fall for that.”
as the weeks went by, kai's relentless pursuit of you showed no sign of slowing. he became a fixture in your life, a presence that simultaneously annoyed and intrigued you. you debated, exchanged barbs, and even shared moments of genuine laughter, all while kai's intentions remained clear.
“when are you gonna stop playing hard to get, sunshine?”
“depends, when are you gonna stop being hard to want?”
but then something shifted. beneath the playful banter and sarcastic jabs, a connection began to form. in between your arguments, you would noticed the way kai's eyes softened when he thought you weren't looking, how he listened intently when you spoke about your passions, and the times when his laughter seemed unguarded and genuine.
one evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, you found yourself seated on your porch swing, just like every other night, lost in thought. kai appeared beside you, surprisingly subdued. “you know, i've never met anyone quite like you,” he admitted, his voice carrying a note of sincerity.
you turned to him, your gaze steady. “is that your way of saying i'm a challenge you can't resist?”
kai's lips curled into a half-smile. “maybe it's my way of saying i'm not sure i want to resist.”
your heart skipped a beat, a mixture of emotions swirling within you. you opened your mouth to respond, but before you could find the words, kai leaned in, capturing your lips in a kiss that was both unexpected and electrifying. in that moment, time seemed to stand still as your connection deepened.
pulling away, kai looked at you with a mixture of uncertainty and hope. “i've wanted to do that for a while,” he confessed, his bravado replaced by vulnerability.
your couldn't help but smile, your walls slowly crumbling, but the hesitation never making a full departure. “of course, it's just a few steps away from sleeping with me, isn't it?” the smile on kai's face slowly faltered, even all the while he knew you were joking, your words couldn't help but sting.
your banter had evolved into something deeper, something that left you both breathless and eager for more. as you continued to explore your feelings, you soon discovered that beneath kai's playboy facade, was a man capable of genuine emotion, while kai found in you a kindred spirit who challenged him in ways he had never experienced before.
“you know,” he began, his hands stuffed in his pockets as he began to wander, as if he was nervous to tell you something. “i haven't slept with anybody since we kissed.” you scoffed, but you couldn't ignore the way his words made you feel. it was what he was known for, yet he was straying away from it just for you.
you raised an eyebrow, giving him a skeptical look. “i should be checking for signs of the apocalypse. the world must be ending if kai parker, the master of fleeting romances, is suddenly turning into a monk.”
he let out a soft laugh, the sound surprisingly genuine. “okay, maybe monk is a bit extreme, but let’s just say i’ve found myself more intrigued by a certain someone’s company than just a quick roll in the hay.”
you feigned surprise, placing a hand on your chest dramatically. “kai parker? interested in more than just a casual fling? this must be a parallel universe or something.”
he shot you a playful glare. “hey, i'm not saying i'm proposing here. just—noticing that maybe there’s more to life than moving from one hookup to another.”
you tilted your head, giving him a thoughtful look. “so, what? you’re saying you’re looking for something real?”
he sighed, running a hand through his hair. “i didn’t say that exactly. i'm just saying that being around you— it’s different. and yeah, maybe i'm curious to see where different could lead.”
a mix of emotions swirled within you. you had spent so long building up your defenses against his advances, and now he was dropping his playboy facade? the irony wasn’t lost on you.
“different,” you echoed, your voice softer than before. “you do realize that ‘different’ for you is still probably light years away from what most people consider normal, right?”
kai smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “who needs normal when you’ve got interesting?”
you couldn’t help but chuckle, his words catching you off guard. “interesting, huh? is that your way of saying i’m a puzzle you’re trying to solve?”
he leaned in, his tone teasing. “nah, puzzles are too much work. more like a mystery i want to unravel, one piece at a time.”
you rolled your eyes, but the corner of your mouth tugged into a smile. “you are ridiculous, kai parker.”
he chuckled softly, the smile lingering on his lips as he looked at you. “and you like it.”
before you could offer a sarcastic retort, he closed the distance between you, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that was surprisingly tender. it was a kiss that held the weight of unspoken emotions, a silent promise of something more.
as he pulled away, he met your gaze with a newfound seriousness. “i just wanted you to know that I’m not playing games here.”
your heart raced as you looked into his eyes, seeing a sincerity that was both unexpected and strangely comforting. “and i just want you to know that i’m not the kind of girl who falls for pretty words and empty promises.”
his fingers brushed against your cheek, his touch gentle. “i wouldn’t want you to be.”
there was a moment of shared understanding between you, a silent agreement that while the journey might not be easy, it was one worth exploring. and as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the two of you, you realized that maybe, just maybe, God had something beautiful in store for you.
but just as your relationship was blossoming, a rumor swept through mystic falls, threatening to tear them apart. it was said that kai had been with another girl, a betrayal that shattered your trust and left you heartbroken.
unbeknownst to you, the rumor was nothing but a cruel lie. kai had remained steadfastly devoted, his feelings for you growing stronger by the day. he had never been with anyone else, consumed by thoughts of you as he gave himself a few days off, attempting to surprise you with days' worth of planning dinner reservations.
as days turned into nights, you found yourself growing more perplexed by kai's absence. the rumor that he had slept with someone else gnawed at you, fueling a mix of disappointment and betrayal. the possibility of a genuine connection seemed to crumble beneath the weight of the gossip, and your heart ached for what you thought had been lost.
seeking solace in a familiar friend, you found bonnie's comforting presence. she listened patiently as you poured out your heart, sharing your confusion and the sinking feeling that the connection you had felt with kai might have been a mere illusion.
“i just can't believe he'd do this,” you lamented, your voice tinged with sadness. “after all the time we spent together, the conversations, the moments.”
bonnie placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. “i know how much you've been through already. it's okay to feel hurt. but remember, rumors aren't always true. maybe there's more to the story than you know.”
still, the pain lingered, and in an attempt to take your mind off things, bonnie suggested a night out at a club. she wanted you to let loose and forget your worries, even if just for a little while. she knew you were a gorgeous girl and, despite not treating sex like a playtoy, you had a few tricks up your sleeve. you knew just the way to curl your hair, you knew just the dress to put on to get everybody's attention—just the perfume to wear to turn heads, and just the makeup to put on to capture as many compliments as you knew how.
the club was alive with pulsating music and vibrant lights as you and bonnie danced your cares away. in the midst of the throbbing crowd, you found solace in the music's rhythm, allowing it to drown out the doubts and uncertainties that had been plaguing your mind. as the vibrant lights of the club danced around you, the beat of the music pulsed through your veins. her idea to let loose was working, and the worries that had been consuming your mind were beginning to fade. you swayed to the rhythm, feeling the music's energy wrap around you like a warm embrace.
bonnie leaned in close, shouting over the music. “you look stunning tonight!”
you laughed, the sound lost in the cacophony of the club. it was liberating to let your guard down and simply enjoy the moment. as you and bonnie chatted, the conversation turned unexpectedly towards your feelings for kai. it was a subject you hadn't discussed openly with anyone before, but the club's pulsating atmosphere seemed to encourage honesty.
“okay, fine,” you admitted, a blush rising to your cheeks. “maybe i've started to feel differently about him. but with all these rumors going around, i don't even know what to think anymore.”
her eyes glinted mischievously. “well, if you ask me, rumors are just noise. i told you once and i'll tell you again—you should follow your heart and see where it leads.”
before you could respond, a deep voice interjected, sending a shiver down your spine. “wise words, indeed.”
you turned to see klaus mikaelson, his gaze fixed on you with an intensity that made your heart race. his presence was magnetic, his charm a force to be reckoned with. the combination of the club's energy and his undeniable allure created a heady mix of emotions.
“klaus,” you greeted, trying to maintain your composure despite the butterflies that had taken up residence in your stomach. “didn't expect to see you here.”
he offered you a smoldering smile, his eyes never leaving yours. “life is full of surprises, my dear,” he smiled, and you couldn't help but follow his footstepw away from the dance floor. “can i buy you a drink?” normally, you wouldn't have accepted, but tonight was about letting loose. you nodded your head, earning a smile from him.
as hw engaged you in conversation, his words laced with innuendo and flirtatious undertones, you found yourself both flattered and slightly uncomfortable. his attention was like a spotlight on you, and though you were no stranger to attention, there was something different about the way klaus looked at you.
his words were magnetic, drawing you in with their subtle promises and unspoken desires. you laughed at his jokes, allowing yourself to be swept up in the whirlwind of the night. it was both exhilarating and overwhelming, a whirlwind encounter you hadn't anticipated.
amid the laughter and exchanged glances, you couldn't help but notice a shift in the atmosphere. people around you were suddenly casting curious glances towards the entrance, and your heart skipped a beat when you followed their gaze.
there he was, kai parker, standing at the entrance of the club. his piercing blue eyes were fixed on you, and a whirlwind of emotions crossed his face – surprise, disbelief, and something else you couldn't quite identify.
as if drawn by an invisible force, your gaze locked onto his. time seemed to slow as the space between you and him was filled with unspoken tension. it was as if the world had fallen away, leaving just the two of you in an electric bubble of awareness.
bonnie nudged you playfully, breaking the spell. “seems like someone's here to join the party.”
you tore your gaze away from kai, the intensity of the moment leaving your heart racing. your cheeks were flushed, a mix of emotions swirling within you. as you turned back to klaus, his expression held a knowing glint.
“ah, young love,” he mused, his tone suggestive.
you shot him a look, half-amused and half-embarrassed. “it's not like that.”
he chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “isn't it, now?”
but as klaus's attention remained on you, kai approached with determined steps, his eyes locked onto yours. the atmosphere around you shifted once again, this time with a palpable sense of tension and uncertainty.
his arrival had disrupted the easy dynamic you had shared with klaus, leaving you in a whirlwind of emotions you struggled to understand. the club's vibrant energy seemed to mirror the storm of feelings raging within you, and you knew that the moment kai reached you, everything was about to change. as he closed the distance between you, the anticipation was almost suffocating. jis eyes bore into yours, a mixture of emotions swirling within them – surprise, confusion, and something else that sent a shiver down your spine.
“hey,” he said, his voice softer than you had expected. it was as if the whirlwind of the club's atmosphere had transformed into a bubble that contained just the two of you.
“hey,” you replied, your own voice catching slightly. his presence was overwhelming, and you felt a mix of nerves and a strange fluttering in your chest.
kai's gaze lingered on you for a moment longer before he turned to bonnie, his tone casual. “mind if i borrow her for a minute?”
bonnie glanced between the two of you, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. “of course not. i'll be right here.”
as you followed kai away from the club, the silence was heavy with unspoken tension. the music seemed to fade into the background, leaving only the sound of your heart pounding in your ears.
“i heard there was a rumor going around,” he began, his voice a mixture of curiosity and something you couldn't quite decipher.
you sighed, your gaze dropping to the floor for a moment. “yeah, about you and someone else.”
he let out a frustrated huff, running a hand through his hair. "i knew these rumors would start eventually, but i didn't think they'd mess with your head like this."
you looked up, meeting his gaze. “kai, i thought—”
he reached out, gently lifting your chin with his finger. his touch was electric, and his eyes held a sincerity that took you by surprise. “you thought i was different. and i am, (y/n). i haven't been with anyone else since that night we kissed.”
your heart skipped a beat, his words resonating deeply within you. “how do i know you're telling the truth?”
kai's expression softened, his fingers brushing against your cheek. “you can trust me, (y/n). i know i've made mistakes in the past, but this... what we have, it's real.”
your breath caught in your throat as his words washed over you. there was vulnerability in his gaze, a side of kai you hadn't seen before. the emotions that had been swirling within you since you met him were suddenly overwhelming, and you felt a lump forming in your throat.
kai's thumb brushed against your lips, his gaze locked onto yours. “can i prove it to you?”
before you could respond, his lips met yours in a kiss that was both gentle and intense. it was a kiss that held all the unspoken emotions between you – the doubts, the longing, and the newfound realization that maybe, just maybe, you had both been wrong about each other.
as the kiss deepened, the world around you seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of you lost in the moment. the whispers of the club's music echoed in the background, a haunting melody to the story unfolding between you and kai.
and just when you thought nothing else could possibly matter, a new voice cut through the haze. “am i interrupting something?”
you pulled away from kai, turning to see klaus leaning casually against a nearby pillar, a smirk playing on his lips. the mischievous glint in his eyes told you that he had been watching, his presence a reminder that the supernatural world had a way of turning even the most intimate moments into a spectacle.
kai shot him a glare, his arm protectively wrapped around your waist. “actually, you are.”
klaus chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. “my apologies, young lovers. i'll leave you to it.”
as klaus walked away, a mix of embarrassment and amusement flooded your cheeks. kai's fingers squeezed your waist, and you looked up at him, the tension from moments ago replaced by a newfound warmth.
“you know,” he said, his voice a playful whisper, “i think i'm okay with people knowing we're not just friends.”
you smiled, feeling a weight lift off your shoulders. as you looked into his eyes, you realized that sometimes rumors were just that – empty words that held no power over the truth.
“me too,” you replied, your voice filled with a newfound confidence.
and as you leaned in for another kiss, the club's vibrant energy seemed to swell around you, a backdrop to the unexpected twist in your story. with kai by your side and the promise of a real connection between you, the night held endless possibilities, and you were ready to embrace every one of them.
the best day | hayley marshall
- based off ‘the best day’ by taylor swift
SUMMARY: on the fourth year anniversary of your moms death you remember all the good moments ( and some of the bad ) you had with her.
relationship: hayley marshall x daughter!reader & minor lizzie saltzman x reader
warning: bullying, cursing(?)
request?: no
Tumblr media
At five years old, your mom told you about the story of vampire, witches and werewolves. It was kid proofed and she would go into more detail when you were older but you had to know this stuff because your parents were hybrids and your aunts and uncles were the original family.
You watched her explain it to you and your twin sister hope in her gentle and kind voice. You couldn’t help but feel anxious as she explained that werewolves were real. Like in little red riding-hood. But your mom wasn’t scared, she was brave. And you wanted to be like her. Because she was the best person you knew.
You and Hope had been attending the salvatore boarding school since you were seven. And you guys never really clicked with anyone. It’s not like you didn’t try — it’s just that being the tribrid freaks didn’t exactly help out.
Now in your teen years, thirteen to be exact, the girls attending the school were mean. especially the headmasters daughters, lizzie and josie.
“No wonder your daddy didn’t stick around, he couldn’t resist his murder urges long enough to be a father” Some kid in class, you think her name is alyssa, yelled out pointing to the title of the book on everyone’s desk klaus mikaelson the great evil
feeling tears weld up in your eyes you stood up, lizzie saltzman watched hesitantly before speaking out her own hurtful words “Yeah i mean, who would want hope and y/n as their kids anyways?”
It stung, it really did. You didn’t know why Lizzie and Josie suddenly started jumping at yours and your sisters throats. It started happening after some fire in hopes room. But it hurt, You used to really like the blonde. Imagining what it would be like if you and hope took up the offer to be friends with her when you first arrived.
You ran out of the classroom and into your dorm. Putting up a barrier spell and crying on your floor. After two hours of refusing to leave your room — even when headmistress caroline forbes knocked and asked you if you wanted to talk about it. You heard a familiar knock and the kind voice of your mother call out “Sweetie, Do you mind coming out?” headmistress forbes must have called her.
You wiped your tears and opened the door “Mommy” You cried and gave her a hug. She rubbed your back for ten minutes until you calmed down. Then told you to follow her.
You spent the day at mystic grill for lunch, and then shopping, then some icecream and to finish the day off — you went on a walk around mystic falls.
When your mom gave you the tightest hug ever and told you to call her if you needed anything — no matter how small, you couldn’t even remember who alyssa chang and lizzie saltzman were.
You had the best day with your mom today.
At fifteen years old, You watched with power-disabling chains on your wrist as someone you knew as your uncle elijah stabbed your father “Elijah” Your mom whispered out. But he didn’t help her. He walked over to you and grabbed you as he saw you run towards your mom. She closed her eyes for a second before looking between you and hope. Mouthing ‘I love you’ before pulling greta’s hand out of her chest — snapping off gretas daylight ring finger and using her vampire speed to speed out the door. You watched as your mom light up in flames as your dad screamed and your uncle elijah, the man she loved released you. You fell to your knees and ran over to your moms burning body screaming something along the lines of mom! don’t leave me, i still need you . Your dad grabbed you before you could touch her burning body.
That was the worst day of your life
Now, At nineteen after defeating a god with the help of people you thought you never be friends with. Holding the hand of the person you thought would never such as breathe near you willingly — You stand infront of the tree that had carved in hayley marshall
“I’ll miss you forever mom” You whisper, tracing the writing with your fingers before wiping the tear that fell. You felt a hand on your back and looked up to face your girlfriend, lizzie saltzman.
She pulled you in for a hug as you sobbed into her shoulder. You would miss your mom forever, Just as your sister hope will. But your mom loved you, you know that. So that’s why you chose to celebrate her life.
“I love you mom” You whisper quietly.
---
When you walked into the cafeteria, almost every single head turned your way. You noticed weird stares being thrown your way and heard whispers as you moved towards your table.
You put your backpack down and settled in before glancing up at your friends. All of them had their eyes wide with shocked expressions on their faces. You give them a funny look before asking, “What? Is there something on my face?”
“Yeah! Glasses! Since when do you wear glasses?!” Landon exclaims. Hope kicks his shin, and he yelps before stating, “What? We were all thinking it.”
You had honestly forgotten that you were wearing them. The weird stares made sense now. Normally you would wear contacts, but you had run out and Dr. Saltzman said to wait for the big grocery shopping trip he would be going on soon.
“Oh! Yeah, I’ve been wearing contacts and glasses since like, 7th grade. I usually wear contacts, but I ran out.” The group nods in understanding. You look around, finally noticing that your girlfriend, Josie, wasn’t there.
“Where’s Josie? I wanted to say good morning to her.” You ask.
Lizzie is the first to answer. “She said something about being in the library this morning. Studying for a test, I think.”
You nod before getting up to go find your girl. You hope that she likes your glasses.
---
“Hey, Jo! There you are. You chose the furthest corner of the library to study.”
Your girlfriend laughs, before looking up at you. As soon as she catches sight of your face, she chokes on air and her face turns bright red.
You quickly sit down next to her and pat her back, trying to help her breathe. “You OK there, Saltzman?”
She nods, her face still bright red. When you settle in and start to review your notes from one of your classes, you can feel Josie staring at you.
When you finally look at her, she is staring back with an indescribable look in her eyes. “Why do you have to look at me like that?” You ask, fidgety under her intense gaze.
“You’re wearing glasses.” She states. You nervously chuckle before nodding. Suddenly, you frown.
“Do they look bad? I mean I know they don’t look great, but I didn’t think they were that bad. God, I should have just dealt with the blurriness until your dad went sho-” Josie lurches forward and pulls you into a searing kiss.
In between breaths she pants out, “You.-- Look.-- So.-- Hot.” You blush, and shy away slightly.
“You really think so?” She nods while biting her lip.
You grin at her before pulling her back into a much slower and sweeter kiss. “Oh my god, how can you manage to switch from sexy to cute in under a second?” She mutters against your lips.
“I don’t know, all I know is that you're the master at it.” You retort back. Now it’s Josie’s turn to blush.
“Jesus, I didn’t even know that glasses could be this attractive. Maybe it’s just you.” She says affectedly.
“If this is how you're going to react, then I should definitely wear glasses more.”
She quickly nods her head and exclaims, “Yes, yes, please do.”
Anyone want a Pt. 2 where Josie like follows you around and like is trying not to jump your bones but keeps having to like make out with you little snippets of moments or something?
No one at the Salvatore Boarding School ever thought they would come face to face with a real mermaid, let alone a siren. Sure the students had heard stories about sirens from headmaster Saltzman, but they never thought they’d meet one. These students had fought loads of different monsters that emerged from Malivore, all of them having been forgotten by society. In a way, this was kind of like that but without all the killings.
It was a rather hot day at the school so of course the only way to not die of heat stroke was to have a pool day. Kaleb was grilling some burgers, someone was blasting music through a speaker they had got their hands on, and the teens were basking in the rays of sun. It wasn’t every day that they got to be ‘normal’ teenagers, so for once in their lives they grasped the day by it’s handles and just prayed to god that it never ended. That’s how some of them felt, Jed on the other hand was about to dig is eardrums out of his head. It wasn’t the music playing through the speaker that had his ears bleeding, it was the sound of a humming that was coming from far out in the distant.
Jed has no idea how he heard it, but he did and it was the most annoying thing on the planet. He was trying to enjoy the day with his friends, forget about all the troubles for once, but this was just absolutely dreadful. Standing up from the pool angrily, the werewolf threw on a t-shirt and shoes and decided against his best intentions that he would follow the sound and see where it takes him. His friends watched as he hastily walked through the trees, mumbling to himself that he was losing his mind and hearing things that no one else could hear.
His friends followed him, abandoning their carefree day and wondering behind the wolf to see where he would lead them. Though they tried to call out his name to get his attention, it seemed it didn’t matter as he just walked farther and farther along until they all reached the lake that was infamous for it’s summer parties.
Jed stopped at the edge of the water, looking out into it as if he was waiting for someone- or rather something- to emerge from the depths of the water.
Out of curiosity, Kaleb came up from behind, clapping him on the shoulder to get his attention. It seemed to work, the boy turning to his friend with a shocked expression on his face.
“Man, why did you walk all the way out here for?” Kaleb was worried for his friend, it wasn’t like him to just up and wonder around aimlessly.
Jed looked at the vampire with almost dead eyes, as if he had been drawn there without knowing it. Without saying a word he turned his attention back to the water, where ripples began to form and the shadow of what looked like a person moved under the lake. Everyone watched as the shadow moved gently and delicately, not knowing it was being watched.
Y/N, the shadow being watched closely, had no clue that a werewolf had heard her song from so far away. If someone had heard her song it meant that they were meant to be together, they were what some would call ‘mates’. Never in a million years did she think she would find her mate, but she would be surprised in just a few minutes. Poking her head out of the water she began to make her way to the edge of the lake, her tail splashing against the water with every movement.
The group of teens watched as the scene unfolded in front of them and they finally saw what was under the water. It was a mermaid, no- it was a siren.
As if on cue, Y/N began to sing without knowing that the teens were only a few feet away from her. The sound  of her voice grew Jed in closer again, this time he walked around the edge of the lake until he was where the siren was. Y/N was too lost in the song to realize that there was now a werewolf standing above her.
When she heard the crunching of leaves and twigs her eyes snapped open, eyes widening and then dilating. Fear coursed through her veins which causes her fangs to unsheathe themselves, along with her talons. Y/N hissed at the stranger, moving back as quickly as her body would let her. The team noticed this and rushed over to where Jed and the mermaid were, all of them getting ready for a fight. What they didn’t notice though was the fact that the girl in the water was absolutely terrified  about all the people that were suddenly around her.
Jed had snapped out of the trance, his eyes refocusing and finally realizing where he was. “What-what is going on?” He looked around, confused as to what had happened and why he couldn’t remember walking all the way out to the woods. His friends looked at him as if they expected him to just automatically remember what he was doing and why they all walked out so far.
Y/N was still sitting there in the water watching all of them, wondering what they were going to do to her. If they were like any of the other humans, or even supernatural creatures, they’d try to capture her and sell her.
Josie was the first to make a move and step closer to the mermaid. She reached her hand out gently, showing that she wasn’t a threat. This eased Y/N’s anxiety a little bit, but not enough. “It’s okay, we’re not here to hurt you.” Josie’s voice was soft, as if she were talking to a child. Her head turned to the group who was trying to put a game plan together. “You brought our friend to you, we just wanted to know why.”
Y/N’s tail was still swishing behind her vigorously, but she had a weird gut feeling that she could trust the girl talking to her. Her talons retracted and she felt her fangs sink back into her gums. Y/N’s y/e/c eyes looked back between Josie and the other teens. Her gaze landed on Jed, who coincidently turned to look at her in return. Their eyes locked, a weird fuzzy feeling swarming in both of their chests. It then hit the mermaid that the only reason why Jed heard her song and the rest of his friends didn’t is because he was her mate.
This had to be wrong.
As fast as she could, Y/N moved her hand in front of her face and vanished from their sight. Though they couldn’t see her, they heard the swishing of water as she dove further into the lake. Josie looked back at the group, confused and unsure of what to do.
Seeing as though Y/N was not a danger to her or anyone else, the teens decided it was best to head back to school and figure out what to do next. While Jed’s friends were walking away he just stood there, waiting for her to resurface. There was no luck. Huffing in defeat, Jed followed after his friends.
-
Once the group arrived back to the school they were met with an angry headmaster. “What have I said about leaving the grill unattended? You’re luck the school didn’t burn down and that Wade turned it off before one of the kids got to it.” Oh he was angry. Simple things like this are what can set Mr. Saltzman over the edge sometimes, and this is just one of those times.
As he went to lecture the teens further he noticed how everyone seemed shaken up almost. He asked them what was wrong, and was surprised by what they told him. The adult quickly ushered his students inside and led them to the library. Sure he had come in contact with Sirens before, when the twins were still very young, but those sirens were different. They didn’t have tails and they were being used by ‘The Devil’ and doing his bidding.
“Are you going to tell us what’s going on?” Hope asked as she watched her teacher go digging through books until he found one he was looking for. He flipped page after page until he found the picture of a mermaid, then flipped it around to verify with the kids that this what they saw.
Lizzie rolled her eyes as her dad started rambling on about how the sirens that he’s encountered never had tails, but did like the water, how they didn’t have talons or fangs, it went on for a little bit before the other twin interjected. “So what if this siren is different than those two that tried to kill us when we were little? Did you see how scared she was when she saw us? There’s no way she’ll ever come near us.”
All eyes landed on Jed, who had zoned out yet again. Jed snapped out of his trance and looked up to everyone staring at him. “I think I need to go back out there.” He said looking between all his friends. They all had a ‘why the hell would you want to do that’ look, plastered on their faces. “I felt something out there, when I looked at her. Not when I was in that trance, but when I actually looked at her.” He sighed as he realized no one else is going to understand what he was saying because they didn’t feel it.
There was a small pause between all the chatter, no one really knowing what to say since this was such an odd situation. Hope was the first one to speak up, which was not a surprise to anyone. “If you want to go back out there we’ll support you on it.” With that being the only thing said the group went to put an emergency bag together just in case this mystery girl came out of the water ass-naked.
While the teens were headed back to the lake, Y/N was drying herself off and getting ready to book it back to the main road and skip town. If the word got out that she had been spotted then all the people that had been after her before would definitely be coming after her again.
The thoughts of that strange boy being her mate kept making her stomach churn, in both good and bad ways. She didn’t want a mate, she never wanted out mainly because she always had the idea that they would never truly love her. She’s spent her life on the run, hiding from hunters and black market dealers. There weren’t very many sirens like her anymore, so catching one meant big bucks for the capture.
Once Y/N was ready to go she started making her way through the forest, trying to stay as quiet as she could just in case there were other things out in the woods. Before she could head out on the road she had to grab her belongs from the hotel she was staying in, seeing as though she didn’t want to leave any evidence of her being here behind.
Lost in her own train of though, the siren hadn’t even realized that she was about to cross paths with the group of teens again, who were not going to be ready to see a fully dressed siren wondering around the woods. Y/N’s head perked up as soon as she heard the crunching of leaves growing louder and louder. Before she could try to find a place to hide she was met face to face with her mate and his friends, all of them holding a bit of surprise in their faces as they saw her standing in front of them.
“You- you can walk.” Jed stuttered out.
Y/N scoffed, “Of course I can walk, and I can talk.” The tone in her voice was anything but friendly, a little warning sign for them to back off. When the group didn’t say anything, Y/N started to walk past them, hoping that they’d just let her go in peace.
How she was wrong.
As she started to walk past Jed had had reached out and grabbed her wrist, a rookie mistake for anyone who didn’t know how insanely strong a siren was. Without hesitation Y/N turned around, hand landing flat against the werewolf’s chest. It was a flat handed punch of sorts, strong enough to send Jed flying a few feet away from her. The group watched as she did it so effortlessly, not even batting an eye as Jed struggled to regain his breathe and get up.
For whatever reason, whether it was the mating bond or just the growing feelings for the girl, Jed was seeing stars and not just from how hard he had just hit his head.
“What the hell was that for? We weren’t going to hurt you!” Lizzie yelled angrily, throwing her hands up in the air. Y/N shrugged.
“I do not like being touched, and I do not like any of you.” She stated simply. “Now, if you don’t mind.” As she went to make her way past them again, Hope stood in her way, a sarcastic grin on her face.
“Yeah, you’re not going anywhere till you tell us why Jed is the only one who’s able to hear your siren song.” The Tribrid crossed her arms over her chest as she awaited an answer.
Sighing, Y/N looked back at Jed who was standing up and making his way back to his friends. The siren looked back at the teens with a straight face. “He can hear my siren song because, unfortunately for the both of us, he is my mate.”
There were small gasps from the group, but noy from Jed. When Y/N looked back at the young wolf he was smiling, like he was actually happy about the announcement.
“You’re my mate? No wonder I was in such a daze, I mean of course it was probably your siren song, but I could feel the bond and how close you were and all I wanted to do was to just come find you-” Jed’s ranting was caught off by Y/N putting her hand in the air to get him to shut up.
“You’re happy about this? Wouldn’t you rather be with someone of your own kind? A fellow werewolf?” Y/N questioned.
Jed shook his head as he took a bold step forward to the girl, “I’m just happy I found you, I never thought I’d find my mate.” If it weren’t for the fact that everyone else was around the two mates, Jed probably would have tried to kiss Y/N, but he knew it was much too soon for that. Plus, she’d probably throw him against a tree again.
There was a silence as no one had any clue of what to say, but one thing was for sure and everyone’s stomachs were growling for the barbequed food they had left behind at the school.
Kaleb clapped his hands together to gain everyone’s attention, “Why don’t we head back to the school, get something to eat, and you two can uh- sort this whole thing out. Sound like a plan?” Before anyone could say anything he started walking back in the direction of the school, the others following behind him.
Y/N was going to wait till they were far enough ahead and then make a run for it, but when she went to turn around she hit her face straight into Jed’s chest. The boy was smiling down at her, which was kind of creepy in a way, but he couldn’t help it. Jed started walking behind his friends, and reluctantly Y/N followed them.
Reaching the school felt like it took hours since they were all so hungry, but as soon as they reached the grill where all the food was still warm it felt well worth the wait. Everyone started to fill their plates, talking and passing food. Though Y/N was hungry, she didn’t want to eat anything that was handed to her just in case they were trying to drug her or something. Instead, she went to the deep end of the pool and sat at the edge, her shoes discarded behind her as she dipped her feet in the water. She sighed in relief as she let the coolness of the water calm her down.
Unlike most mermaids who don’t have control of when they shift into the fishy form, Y/N did. She was old and had learned many spells that had helped her gain control of her shifting over the years. She closed her eyes and imagined she was home, deep in the ocean where no one could find her, where it was quiet calm. She hated the land, the people there were too greedy for their own good.
Her peace was disturbed as Jed sat next to her, water splashing as his feet were submerged into the water. Y/N opened her eyes, narrowing them at the boy. She knew it was a bit irrational to be so angry over something so small, but she was just angry at everything at the moment. Jed smiled as he handed her plate of food, hoping that she’d takt it. It took a little nudge, but eventually Y/N took the food and slowly started to eat bits and pieces of it.
“You know, if you don’t want to talk about it right now, we don’t have to. I just want you to know that I’d really like to get to know you, and for you to get to know me. I can feel the mistrust, the anxiety, but we’re not going to hurt you.” There was a pause as he looked into Y/N’s eyes, really meaning his next words, “I’m not going to hurt you.”
Y/N was silent as she looked down at her plate of food, most of it already gone and she hadn’t even realized. Jed chuckled softly, knowing that she was probably starving deep down.
“I do not trust anyone.” Y/N said slowly, which caught the rest of the group by surprise. “Many people, supernatural or not, want to hunt me, kill me, or sell me. I do not trust anyone.” Y/N’s eyes glanced up for a split second, just long enough to see the sadness that rested on everyone’s features.
Jed gently put his hand on Y/N’s knee, and thankfully she didn’t move back from him. “We won’t let anything happen to you.” He smiled softly, the action warming Y/N’s cold heart just enough to make her smile a little bit.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, to have a mate that was a werewolf. Maybe it wouldn’t be bad to stick around and see what happens. Just maybe.
DATING LIZZIE SALTZMAN HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
(gif creds to legaciesladies.)
Lizzie Saltzman x Fem!Witch!Reader
A/N: I miss my girl so much and got sm comfort from this😭 srry this is kinda short
• Hugs. Hugs. Hugs, and did I mention hugs?
• I can see Lizzie being the big spoon most of the time, but once in a while she needs to be held by her girl.
• Lizzie is very protective over the people she cares about, and will not hesitate to protect you any chance she gets. (It’s a hero thing.)
• We all know she’s the fashion queen, so she loves picking out your outfits! (and critiquing them👀.) “What about this?” “God no Y/N, have I taught you nothing?”
• You literally defend this girl with your LIFE. All you want for her is complete happiness and anyone ruining that will feel your wrath. (Penelope would know all about that.)
• We know that Lizzie has faced a lot of challenges due to her mental health, but you do absolutely everything in your power to help her. She needs to yell in the woods? There you are right beside her. She needs a meditation session? Oh, there you are joining in. She knows and appreciates every little thing you do for her.
• Forehead kisses are a big yes doesn’t matter if it’s giving or receiving.
• She loves doing spells with you!
• She always turns to you if in need of siphoning wither it being holding your hand, waist, or giving a you a kiss.
• If you are mad at her, she will try everything to make it up to you - even going to what she calls ‘extreme lengths’ to get you your favourite ice cream. “I know you’re mad.. but I went to very extreme lengths to get you f/ic/f, so if that doesn’t bring you out of your ‘mood’ I don’t know what will.” You frown. “Extreme lengths?” She crosses her arms nodding. “I had to walk through that disgusting shopping centre for ICE-CREAM.”
• Now, if she’s mad at you, you will probably face the cold shoulder for a bit, only receiving glares from her and sympathetic looks from Josie. While you are trying to talk things out with your girlfriend, You both find yourselves in confrontation with a monster. You saw it ready to attack Lizzie and instantly flung yourself in-front of her shielding her from the monster resulting in you getting injured. “Are you stupid? You could’ve gotten yourself killed!” She shouts absolutely mortified. “Better me than you.” You muttered, holding your head. She sighed, pulling you into a bone crushing hug. “Don’t scare me like that again.”
• From that moment, she knew you’d risk your life for her at the drop of a hat.
Vampire Love-Legacies-Sebastian the Vampire x OC reader (my first Tumblr fanfic and possible series)
Chapter 1: This Year Will Be Different, and I'm Ready For That
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello there! Welcome to my first ever Legacies inspired fanfiction chapter book story. Before this story starts, here are some quick introduction notes to help you get familiar with everything and to leave you from any confusion. Firstly, this story is going to be partly OC (OFC because the main character in this in replace of Y/N is Kenzie 'Mackenzie') and I created her for this story. She is the only character that I own and everyone else in this story I do not own.
Secondly, my character Kenzie, is the third fraternal twin daughter (triplet)/ sister of both Lizzie and Josie. Her father is also Alaric Saltzman. (Fraternal means they aren't the same or identical) Kenzie looks more like Lizzie, but with more reddish brown hair as the only thing that sets those two apart and Josie. Kenzie and Lizzie look the same everywhere else (The same eyebrows, sound the same when we talk, have the same style sense-Physical features on both of our faces are the same / similar ) Kenzie really looks up to her two twin sisters, especially Lizzie. She thinks of her as the older sister in the group and role model. She can look up to Lizzie because she was the last twin born but they are all the same age.
Kenzie is the youngest twin of Josie and Lizzie Saltzman, her two older fraternal twin sisters even though they were all born around the same time/ day. The age for these 3 including my character can be in the early 20's (around my age 20 or 21- Kenzie is a vampire and has witch abilities in her. You'll find out more about her as the story goes on.
Lastly, everyone still remembers Hope Mikelson. What truly and actually happens / happened to her in the start of season 2 of the show, doesn't take place / doesn't happen in my story. I hope you all enjoy <3
*
The new year has arrived in Mystic Falls, Virginia. A new year means new life and beginnings, even at the Salvatore School for the Young and the Gifted. In the dormroom that they share together, two of the Saltzman twins, Lizzie, and Kenzie are hanging out together for a while before classes start.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kenzie, and yep! I'm a Saltzman twin and hybrid/ heretic, that's a fancy word for witch mixed with vampire abilities. Pretty cool right? It's pretty hectic over here right now. School starts today and everyone's getting ready for that.
Right now, I'm hanging out in my bedroom dorm with one of my twin sisters and best friend, the groovy Lizzie Saltzman. She's doing a bunch of yoga stretches on this mat on the floor and I'm sitting at my vanity desk, applying some makeup on my face, just face powder and a little bit of mascara,nothing too much like eyeshadow, I wouldn't want to scare away my professors on the first day.
I'm looking at myself in my mirror that's built in on my vanity desk table and could see everything that Lizzie is doing behind me through the mirror.
"What pose is that, Liz?" I asked Lizzie as I continued to apply face powder and blush to my face. Lizzie chuckles to herself and turns her head a little to face me while being in the yoga pose.
"Oh you know! Warrior two pose, it's my favorite pose thus far"I giggle after hearing her response and then close my makeup and puts it in my table and then turns my head and body around fully to face her, continuing to giggle to myself.
"I thought you said that you didn't like yoga and that it was like karate, but for lazy people?" Lizzie switched poses by moving her hands down and put them to her hips.
"I did say that. But this past summer with mom and you has really changed me and had me open my eyes to new experiences. Also, this really helps me keep my mind off the stupid Merge stuff in our near future"
I nod my head and frown a little after hearing the merge being mentioned, hearing about what happens during that really scares me and I'm not ready for that. I shake my head out of that scary thought and back into reality again.
Smiling at the sight when I see my best friend and first sister.
"Ooh I love that! I'm really happy that mom and I were able to help you take your mind off that, Liz! I want to keep my mind off of that too"
I get up from my chair that I was sitting on and go to sit on my bed that Lizzie is standing in front of/ next to.
"I'm all about being present right here, right now. So I have decided to be completely and truthfully open to any opportunity that approaches me and my way. This is going to be my year of yes. I'm literally open for anything and available for anyone."
My sister stops doing her yoga poses and relaxes while standing up in a neutral way. When she hears me talk about my plans, a bright and big smile appears on her face.
In the hallway, our vampire friends Kaleb and MG walk by our room and hear everything that Lizzie and I are talking about. That's one cool thing about being part vampire, you can feel certain people's presence without actually seeing them face to face right away.
Kaleb looked at MG as MG gasped softly after hearing what Lizzie and I were talking about. They stopped and hid right next to the wall of our room outside in the hallway, close to the door, hearing everything we were talking about. MG, short for Milton Greasley, has a crush on my sister but she doesn't know about it.
I think that's cute and sweet that he has a crush on her and seeing the way he cares and treats her like the queen I know my sister Lizzie is, even if the two aren't dating.
Just as Lizzie was going to continue talking, our other sister, Josie walks into our room and smiles at the both of us. She was taking a shower in the school's locker room area.
"Aw, hey you two! What are you two talking about?"
"Aw, hiya Jo! Liz and I were talking about future goals that we want to accomplish this year." Josie smiled at that and thought that was cute that we were talking about that.
Josie took off the bathrobe that she was wearing, don't worry! She has an outfit on underneath it I promise. She sat down on her bed that was right next to mine and Lizzie's.
Lizzie came in the middle of Josie and I, and rested her hands on my shoulders as she stood up and smiled a bright smile more.
"What I was trying to say before our other dear sister, Josie came through was that I think that's a wonderful idea, Kenz. I want to be more open for opportunities too, I am inviting myself to join you in your year of yes. I hope that's okay with you?"
I smile brightly and put my hand on my heart. "Aw!! I think that's a really cute and heartwarming idea, yes of course you can join me! I'm really excited to see how this goes, especially with my best friend right there with me"
I wink at her and smile. She smiles brightly more and squeals while clapping her hands.
Lizzie hugs me and starts to talk fast because that's what she does when she's excited about something.
"I am so excited, thank you so much, Kenz! I love you! She gasps, "I can be your shadow with this, you know, follow you to every location you go and watch you in action with this, if that's okay again?"
I giggle softly to myself and boop Lizzie's nose. "Aw, yes of course it's okay sis! You don't have to keep asking every time. You're my sister and best friend, you and Josie are both always allowed to go and follow me anywhere and everywhere you both wish."
Looking at the clock in our room I noticed how late the time was getting before classes were going to start, "We should really start getting a move on to the auditorium now! I think Professor Varduemus and dad will be starting their meeting with everyone"
The three of us agree and Lizzie, Josie,and I all share a cute and heartwarming group hug with each other and then finish getting ready and head down to the main auditorium space.
Kaleb and MG left and joined in the auditorium with everyone else before we could see them in the hallway. I giggled and walked with Lizzie and Josie through the hallway and sat next to them when we got there.
We listened to everything that was said and before we knew it, it was time for classes to officially start and then soon enough class was over and it was my time to relax.
Finally! I asked Lizzie if she wanted to meet up with me and hangout at the Old Mill. After a long time of trying to persuade her, she agreed and we both arrived and hung out for a while.
The Old Mill is this fantastic tree house looking structure that was outside obviously and had that forest and nature vibe and look to it.
Inside, there was a bunch of furniture and other things you'd expect to see in an outside setting. My favorite part about it was the decorations. It had white and different color string of lights hung up all over the room. Fairy lights in other words.
It added character and I loved that, especially when it's night time when you can really see the lights in action more.
I was sitting in a chair right next to Lizzie and had gotten up to get something off a shelf in the room.
"I don't understand why you and the others don't like this place,sis! I love this place, I think it's off the charts amaze-" I quickly pause and smile when I felt the presences of someone standing a little bit across from me, looking up I saw this young man with brownish dark hair and is dressed in this old fashioned but still really cute and good looking outfit.
"Zing!" I quietly whisper to myself and then look back at Lizzie to see if she's seeing what I'm seeing. She's not really paying attention to him at first. I turn my attention back to the young man. His eyes widen a little when he sees me and then starts to look around the room a bit.
I can't seem to get my eyes off of him. I don't know who he is but I think I'm falling in love. I waved my hand / arm out a little in front of him to get his attention and once I did that, I softly spoke to him.
"Hello there! Are you here to hangout too? You can do that, my sister and I wouldn't mind" I smiled while looking back quickly at Lizzie, to see if she's looking this time. She's still not looking.
She's too busy chilling like a villain in one of the comfy cozy chairs that are in the room. Typical Lizzie haha. Me on the other hand, turned my head back to face the mysteriously good looking man again as he looked around the room with bright eyes and then looked at me and spoke.
"What kind of place is this? Is this like a school of some kind?" The young man softly asked me with bright eyes while examining me and the room once more.
"It's the Salvatore School. It's named after Damon Salvatore but I won't bore you with all of that background information right now haha" The guy smiled as he listened to me talk which started to get my heart beating.
"What's your name? I thought I knew all of the new incoming students" I smiled and raised my eyebrow out of curiosity.
The man looked at me with a chilling but cute look on his face. "Sebastian! What's your name?" I continued to look back at him, each time my smile kept growing.
"Oh, I'm Kenzie!" Sebastian smiled again at me.
"It's good to meet you, Mackenzie" I smile more as I look to the floor for a second and then back at Sebastian again.
"I actually think 'Mackenzie' sounds too boring for my taste" Sebastian raised his eyebrow a little and continued to smile, he glanced up for a second and then back to me.
"I don't think it sounds boring at all" Cue the blushing from me over here!! Hearing this mysterious but extremely handsome man talk to me and say that my name doesn't sound boring makes my heart flutter at a really fast speed.
I think I'm falling in love with this guy.
As our conversation continued, I totally forgot that Lizzie was with me in the room. She got curious as to what I was doing and gasped to herself softly when she saw Sebastian.
She covered her mouth with her hand for a second and hid behind the wall, not trying to interrupt anything but still wanting to hear or try to hear everything that was being said.
Little did I know that my sister and best friend also thought he was cute too and might feel the exact same way that I feel about him. Sorry my sweet sister but I saw Sebastian first! I'm pretty sure he'll choose me if that comes haha.
Sebastian and I finished talking and he said that he might be around later tonight. Yes! Thank goodness, I really want to see him more often haha.
I waved bye to him as he smiled and then walked back outside and disappeared. After witnessing everything, I was a blushing and speechless mess who couldn't stop smiling.
In the back of my eyes, I could feel Lizzie's presence. She saw the way I was acting and the look on my face. She giggled as I turned my attention to her.
"Hey Kenz! What was that all about?" As I turned to face Lizzie, I could feel my smile growing and stared into space for a few minutes, not looking at her right away.
I didn't realize how I looked but Lizzie saw my hypnotic state clearly written all over my face. Yep! Sebastian hypnotized me. Lizzie continued to giggle when my eyes met hers.
"Are you okay? Who was that?" Still in the hypnotic state, I reply slowly, each time I glance more into space than at my sister.
"Yeah! I'm great,sis! I have no idea who that was but I enjoyed every single moment."
"It definitely looks like it, Kenz! You're blushing and it's adorable! My little sister has a crush!"Lizzie laughed softly and teased me by pushing her arm against my shoulder a little, gently.
I wave her off playfully as I giggle. "Aw, hey shh! Keep your voice down, Liz! I don't want anyone to hear you, especially Sebastian, he could be anywhere"
I put my finger to my mouth and tried to shh/ quiet down my sister, who just laughed.
The two of us continued to hangout at The Old Mill for a bit longer and then decided to head back inside the school because it was getting late. We head back and are greeted by Josie, Hope, and MG.
"Hey there you two are! Where have you two been?" Hope curiously asked as she raised her eyebrow. I smiled at her and was about to tell her where we were but of course Lizzie cut me off and spilled the beans.
"Kenzie and I were at the Old Mill and let's just say she has a crush on this guy who randomly appeared while we were there" I widened my eyes and tried to nudge her shoulder, begging her to stop talking.
I closed my eyes for a second as I placed my hands on the temples/ sides of my face. Everyone in the room who heard either squealed or smiled big smiles after hearing what Lizzie said.
"Ooh!! Sis!! Please you gotta tell me all about that! I wasn't there and I really want to know all about this!" Josie practically threw herself at me, begging her to tell her all the tea.
I laughed softly after seeing her reaction. I gently patted her arms and giggled.
"Aw, wow you really want to know, don't cha sis?" Josie nodded her head and I told her that I would catch her up on everything with that later.
"Hey uhm Lizzie? Can I talk to you about something? It's important" MG politely asked my sister with a smile on his face. Lizzie agreed and nodded her head.
"Of course, MG! We can do that" She smiled at him and then quickly turned her head to face me, Josie, and Hope.
"I'm going to go have a little chat with MG, I'll catch up with you guys later" I agreed and smiled and watched as Lizzie and MG walked off to go sit down and talk.
I turned my attention to Joise and Hope. I smile at them as another idea pops into my head.
"I just got a brilliant idea. I'm going to go back down to the Old Mill now, would any of you two like to join me?" They both smiled at me too and told me that they had other things to do too.
Hope was going to spend time with Landon and Josie was going to chill and do some homework in our room. They told them to call if I needed anything and I told them I would do just that. Smiling at them and waving to them before I left.
"Did you see her face? It lit up so much, and couldn't stop blushing when she mentioned the Old Mill. I wonder what she's up to?" Hope giggled to herself to Josie as they continued to watch me leave.
"Oh yeah I saw! I think it's cute. My little sister must be crushing on this guy hard" Josie giggled and Hope smiled. The two walked off together, doing their own thing.
I quickly rushed to my bedroom dorm and grabbed a few supplies that I needed for what I was going to do and then once I had everything, I scooped everything in my hands and bolted to the Old Mill.
*
When I got to the Old Mill, it was dark outside and the fairy lights sparkled in the night which I really enjoy and love. I put the supplies that I had in my hands and a table and spread them all out on the table.
I was in the middle of setting up for a tracking spell, hoping Sebastian would appear, like he said he might do. I rolled out an old fashioned map with markings on it and spread my hands across it for a second, reading out loud the directions on how to do the spell correctly.
A few minutes after everything was happening, I was startled by a familiar voice.
"Hello Mackenzie!" Sebastian firmly spoke but smiled a romantic smile when he saw me.
I gasp quietly and look up at him while raising my eyebrow a little. "You again?" I titled my head to the side as he continued to look at me, his smile still spread across his face.
He then began to walk towards me, glancing down at my work table. "Ooh! You're a witch?" I nodded my head yes after hearing his question.
"Yes. More like a witch- vampire hybrid or heretic" Sebastian kept smiling and began to waltz over to me, getting a closer look at me. I raised my eyebrow again because I still didn't know who exactly he was. I had to get to the bottom of this.
"And you are clearly something! You've gotten past the school's magical barriers twice now. If you're not a student then what are you? I'd say it's your turn to answer" I paused for a second, hoping to get an answer from him but I clearly got nothing. Of course, right?
"What are you exactly?" I asked him straight forward, still raising my eyebrow a bit. A big smile was painted on his face, it definitely started to make my heart race.
*
Sebastian glanced down at my work table again and raised his eyebrow at me. "What were you looking for?" I widened my eyes a little and could feel my mind starting to go blank.
I couldn't tell Sebastian that I was doing a spell to find him! That wouldn't sound too good. "Uhm, nothing! I- I was just waiting for my sister to arrive and help her with a spell. I think she'll be here in just a few minutes"
I lied. Lizzie has no idea that I'm here. She's busy with MG talking about whatever and here I am probably making a fool out of myself in front of my new found crush.
Sebastian titled his head a little and nodded after hearing what I told him. Gosh he was too cute! I really didn't want to mess this up.
I shook my head and tried to shake off my weirdness that happened a few minutes ago and then turned my head back to Sebastian.
"You still haven't answered my questions yet!" Sebastian looked down at the table and chuckled to himself and listened to all the questions I asked him. "If you aren't a student here, then what are you?"
"I came to see you. I have a request that I hope you'll take"
"Ooh, a request huh? What is it?" I asked him with curiosity if my voice.
Sebastian looked at me with a firm look, eye contact was on point between him and I. I was falling hard inside!!!
"Stop looking for me" He spoke firmly as he started to wander next to the table. I couldn't believe my ears. I was not expecting him to say that to me.
Was this short and sweet moment about to be over in a flash? I hope that's not the case. I widened my eyes and looked the other way for a second, giggling to myself from nervousness.
"What? I'm not looking for you! I never was" I spoke fastly while avoiding eye contact with him.
Truth is, I was actually trying to locate him. Trying to summon him to me again. My mind needed him and apparently so did my body but we are a longggg away from that point hahaha.
As I turned my head back to him, I found him in my clear vision. Right in front of me as he stood. "You're drawn to me, Mackenzie. I can feel it. I'm drawn to you too, but you shouldn't let me get too close." I smiled softly and raised my eyebrow a little.
"And why is that, Sebastian?"
He smiled softly and looked to the floor again but then back to me and started walking around me a little.
"You seem like a nice girl, and you see my life is, shall we both say..." He spoke softly and then was closer to me than before. Leaning on the table, hypnotizing me once again.
"Complicated" He softly spoke again and his face and body were getting dangerously close to mine and I loved it. I could feel my heart beating really fast again. I wanted him more and more.
Come on, Sebastian! You're girl is ready for you! My breath became a little shaky and my eye contact with him was stronger than ever. Him being close to me like this made me speechless in a good way.
"Sebastian, I think I can handle complicated" I whispered to him as he smiled that romantic smile that he did before.
"I want to get to know you more. What do you say? You, me, meet up again soon to do just that?" I smiled as I titled my head, waiting to hear his response.
"I like the sound of that. That sounds like a thrilling good time, I must say. How about a few days from now? Hm?" Sebastian said as he raised his eyebrow too. I could feel my face burn from blushing too much, but I love it. I was too excited to say anything so I nodded my head with a big smile.
He smiled brightly and came closer and leaned towards my face again.
"I'll see you then, Mackenzie!" He smiled at me again and winked at me before turning around and walking out of the Old Mill. Watching him as he disappeared and left me alone again.
My mouth hung open a little and my breathing became steady. I couldn't believe that romantic encounter I had with Sebastian. I loved every second of it and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him and hopefully call him mine. I have to go tell Lizzie!
*
In the school's lobby area, there was a big greenish blue couch that could fit multiple people. Lizzie was hanging out with Josie and MG. Lizzie stood up which was perfect timing for me to get her attention.
I smiled my big smile and squealed when I saw her. I ran up to her and gave her a big hug from excitement. She hugged me back and giggled.
"Ahha! sis! I have some amazing news! I really want to talk to you about" I smiled brightly as I looked at her. She seemed excited too.
"Aw! That's exciting, Kenz! I have something I want to talk to you about too! You can go first" Lizzie winked at me and held my hands and we both sat down on the green couch.
Josie and MG left to give us space. Other students walked by in the lobby, getting ready for bed. I continued to smile brightly at my sister and began to tell her my exciting news.
"So you remember Sebastian, who I met earlier today right? A few minutes ago, I went back to the Old Mill a few minutes ago and had a chat with him and I think I might be going on a date with him in a few days. I think I might have a crush on him. Isn't that exciting?" I smiled more and then studied her face.
It was from a bright smile to an annoyed and sad look mixed into one. That concerned me a little bit. She shook her head and looked back at me with a smile but I could tell something was bothering her. I gently put my arm on her shoulder.
"Hey Liz? Are you okay?"
Continuing to smile. She nodded her head. "Yes, I'm okay. I just think it's interesting that you have exciting news about Sebastian, because so do I, Kenz!"
I raised my eyebrow and had a confused look on my face. "Really? What do you mean by that, Liz?" She smiled more and chuckled to herself.
"During my talk with MG earlier, I discovered something that I wasn't expecting or planning this to happen, but I think I have a crush too. Talking to MG really opened my eyes. I think MG's really great and all and he is really nice at helping me with whatever I need. But seeing you with Sebastian and seeing him made my heart beam, but not in just a happy way. More like a romantic way"
I could feel my heart beating in a nervous way, like it was about to sink to my stomach.
Lizzie, I love you but if you're about to say what I think you're going to say then we might have an issue. I looked at my sister with a sad look on my face, tears forming slowly in my eyes. "What do you mean, Liz?"
"I think I have a crush on Sebastian too, Kenz!" She spoke softly with a bright smile on her face as she looked at me.
Heartbroken. Shock. Confusion.I was feeling all of those feelings. Definitely not the words I was expecting my sister to say. My sister was known for crushing on guys with good looks and charm but never in a million years did I expect her to have a crush on the same guy as me.
I didn't know what to say. The tears I felt forming in my eyes were definitely there in my eyes now. I tried to hide them by quickly wiping them away with my hand but Lizzie saw and became worried about me.
"Kenzie, are you alright?" A concerning tone of voice was heard in her voice as she tried to comfort me. I continued to wipe my tears away and nodded my head.
"I just wasn't expecting you to say that you have a crush on Sebastian too. I thought this was going to be my moment for love. I thought everything was falling into place and now you have a crush on him too. He'll probably choose you. You're way prettier than me and every guy chooses you. Guys think I'm this weird and ugly girl with no potential for love" I admitted while pushing through my quiet sobs.
Lizzie pulled in for a sisterly hug which I galdy hugged her back. "You are beautiful just the way you are, Kenz! Everything that you said about yourself isn't true at all. Guys love you and don't think you're weird or ugly at all. And I'm so sorry for making you upset, I had no idea that you called dibs on Sebastian. I won't get in the way. He's yours, I promise"
She winked at me and smiled. Hearing her say that calmed me down and I wiped my tears and cleared my face more. I giggled softly.
"You're the best, thank you so much, Liz! I love you!" I glanced up at her, smiling a soft but meaningful smile on my face as did Lizzie back to me.
"You better! Hahaha jokes aside, anything for you. You deserve to be happy. I love you too, Kenz!" Lizzie smiled brightly and the two of us continued to hug and then we decided to go to our dorm room bedroom and get ready for bed.
My heart was feeling calmer again and I couldn't wait for my future with Sebastian. This year will be different and I'm ready for that.
-End of Episode story 1 :)
Soooo! What did you think of this? I really hope you all enjoyed reading this because I enjoyed writing it. I promise that this isn't a rewrite of the season 2 episode 1 of Legaices! I tried to make it as different and creative and I promise that the up coming chapters will continue to follow that structure of staying away from being like the real episode. I'm very excited to share with you all my writing for this story and because of how much I absolutely adore the one and only Thomas Doherty and his character Sebastian in the show (even though he wasn't on it anymore after season 2 ended. It's still upsetting that the show got canceled-I really enjoyed the show :(
Stay tuned and get ready for more and I'd love to hear your feedback on this and for possible story ideas related to Thomas or any of his characters <3
If anyone is interested- you can find this story posted over on my wattpad and follow me there. My username is Theresas_secret hope to see you there and I'll see you in the next one
hope mikaelson x reader , bestfriends to rivials to secret protectors to lovers ?
secret protectors is secretly protecting eachother btw
and if you can , can you start it where they are ex bestfriends already
sure thing darling ;) I’ve tweaked it a tad but it’s mostly the same
it’s quite shitty but It’s written with my sleep deprived brain.. so.. sorry.
warnings : swearing, mentions of sex, underage drinking
Y/N Y/L/N and Hope Andrea Mikaelson.
The two of you had an.. interesting history to say the least.
Let’s start with the backstory shall we?
Now the two of you had already come from feuding families, though you had both completely disregarded that fact in your first meeting and there was an instant platonic connection. One which you and her both eagerly deepened as you’d both grown up shadowed from the outside world and without the ability to form relationships of any kind, so it was like a first to the both of you. In a sense.
Your relationship status of friends quickly glided from good friends to close friends to best friends and the two of you were perfectly content with this.
Of course that was until you families had to go ahead and ruin it.
It was actually Hope’s mum Hayley who had found out about your secret friendship first, unbeknownst to you, and Hope had almost burst into tears at the look of shock and mild disgust on her mum’s face.
“You’re father told me about that family.” Hayley had said “They aren’t a good bunch sweetheart.”
And Hope had stayed mute and assumed that that was the end of that — but of course she knew deep down that wasn’t simply going to be the end of this situation she had gotten herself into.
The next day, she was at a family dinner — one which they commonly had every single evening so nothing seemed out of the ordinary in the slightest.
But the tense looks on all her families faces told her otherwise and she had felt her heart psychically constrict at her dad’s next words.
“We don’t want you involved with that y/l/n family.”
That sentence was playing on her mind for days as she actively avoided you at all cost, knowing full well a look into your y/e/c eyes would only worsen her current predicament.
But she made her decision (no matter how difficult).
Family was everything to her...
So the next day, she had met you in person in broken up your friendship in perhaps the rudest way possible she could think of in the hopes you would start disliking her and consequently leaving her life which made her family life so much easier. No matter how the mere thought being without your presence for eternity pained her dearly.
But afterwards it was after your friendship never happened.
You went to thinking she was just like how your parents portrayed her family to be.
And she went to glaring in the halls of school and showcasing her ‘hate’ while dreaming of you when the day turned to dusk.
• • •
“Looking good y/n.” Your friend (kinda) Bianca Goldman whistled as you strutted over to her where she stood leaning against a tree as she observed the lively party.
“You too Ani.” You smiled playfully, twirling a strand of Bianca’s strawberry blonde hair around your finger with a playfully seductive look in your eyes.
“Go find someone else to hit on, you’ve got half the school pining after you.” Bianca scoffed lightly with a joking (mostly) roll of her green eyes but anyone could make out the newly gained pink flush to her pale skin.
“Aww no need to be jealous Ani.” You whispered lightly with a mocking pout as you leaned in a little more and watched in amusement as her pale skin gained a more crimson flush.
However, what you failed to see was from across the forest. Leaning against her own tree was your ex-bestfriend (enemy to everyone’s knowledge) watching you intently with jealously shining transparently in her ocean blue eyes.
“What’s go your thong in a twist princess.” Elizabeth Saltzman smirked jokingly, her eyes alight with the perfect mixture of mirth and entertainment that masked her confusion.
Hope didn’t answer, instead, a glare glazed over her previously envious blue eyes and she pursed her lips together.
“You’re jealous aren’t you?” Lizzie asked in amusement though slight shock, her gaze quickly flickering between both you and Hope with a new sense of interest and determination.
“Jealous of what? I’m only concerned for Bianca, y/n plays people and leaves them high and dry.” Hope spoke defensively.
“More like pleased and happy.” Lizzie corrected cheekily.
Her response was a displeased scoff and Hope taking an even bigger swig of her beer.
• • •
It was officially the next day and those who weren’t suffering with hangovers (the vampires and some werewolves or witches who knew the correct spells) were up bright and early.. most of them.
You were a witch, a bloody good one at that and thankfully you knew the hangover spell but with your lifestyle you sort of had to know it.
Still — instead of attending class like you were obviously meant to, you just went down to the kitchens for some food because hey? food is way more important than studies, right.?
Standing in the kitchens and munching happily on a chocolate chip cookie and you heard a sharp gust of wind. One which you could identify with an approaching vampire.
But before you could even turn, a resounding thud rang out through the kitchen and you turned to see a vampire, a newbie — Leon Arnold — neck snapped on the floor, blood staining his lips, mouth and shirt and vampire features receding back.
You blew out a harsh breath and placed your hand on your head, trying to calm your rapidly racing heart.
Under her own cloaking spell, Hope Mikaelson smiled lightly to herself in accomplishment and relief. Oh so maybe this seemed slightly stalker-ish.. but she was curious to what you did when you didn’t attend class and honestly thank god she did decide to be .. stalker-ish today.
“Mikaelson?”
Shit. She just so happened to forget you were an equally as powered witch who could see past her spells.
“You did that..?” You gestured to Leon and much to the annoyance of yourself you felt a warm feeling encase your heart at the thought of her protecting you.
“Yeah..I did.” Hope nodded her head hesitantly and slipped a quick smile over her plush pink lips with her cheeks discreetly flushing at the softer look that entered your y/e/c eyes.
“Well thank you.” You spoke sincerely and cursed yourself out mentally for the butterflies that swarmed around your stomach.
Just like old times
A response wasn’t heard on Hope’s end as you hastily hurried out.
• • •
“Ugh this is stupid.” Lizzie groaned slumping against the wall as she watched Hope pointedly avoid your eyes and you do the same. She had a sneaking suspicion and she also had an idea which in her opinion was spectacular.
“What is?” Josette, Josie, Saltzman asked hesitantly as she looked up with the end of her of pencil resting between her lips absentmindedly.
“This!” Elizabeth practically shouted as she gestured between Hope and you and Josie looked on with wide perplexed eyes.
“No you know what.” Lizzie muttered, putting Hope’s wrist in a tight hold and magically dragging you over. Ignoring your groans and shouts of protest and everyone’s either wide and curious or shocked eyes.
Quickly, she basically threw the both of you in the nearest classroom and placed a spell on the door.
“Talk! Now!”
You and Hope sat in a extremely tense silence for about a minute or so just staring into each other’s heatedly.
Before suddenly she crashed froward and pressed her lips into yours hungrily.
You eagerly responded to the kiss, familiar with this nature of kiss, winding your hands through her soft locks of auburn hair as hers wrapped around your waist. Hope let out a little moan as you ran your tongue over her bottom lip and she obediently opened her mouth slightly for you to proceed.
Abruptly the two of you pulled apart, panting harshly.
“We should—“
“Yeah—“
“Be my girlfriend—“
It felt like time stopped from a moment and with a wide grin appearing on your face you nodded your head frantically.
Your families the last thing on your minds.
Halloween Event
Your niece arriving back in New Orleans wasn’t exactly a surprise. The witches had seen it coming and swarmed to you. They were still scared of her. You found it rather amusing. Imagining that Klaus would be proud of it.
Though when Hope finally arrived, a few days later than the witches had predicted, she had in two a set of twins. The scent that radiated off them hung in the air in sweet notes of mouth watering power that hung in the air and soured.
“You’re in time for the Halloween festival. You should leave those two though.” You muttered as you dressed in the costume that Vincent had sent you. Freya normally took charge of the Halloween festival and you lolled around looking bored, not helping, waiting for the feeding frenzy the boon of tourists brought with them. Now, however, you were waiting among the trees at the edge of the Mikaelson property. You were supposed to lead the girls to meet Vincent at the other end of the woods so they could stay with some of the wolves that remind of Hayley’s days in the bayou and some of the witches that didn’t want to be in the Quarter when the vampires fed.
“Vampires pretending to be humans pretending to be vampires … How avant-garde!” one of the twins said. You turned and looked her up and down. Josie, Hope had mentioned their names. You hadn’t really cared enough to remember. The girl was leaning casually against a tree. If she had been trying not to look smug at her comment, she was failing, miserably.
“How would someone as sheltered as you know what would count as avant-garde.” you said in a way that made it clear you didn’t want an answer. But from the look on the girl's face, she was going to give you one anyway.
“What is the point of pretending. The dozen vampire attacks that are sure to happen will lure all the attention right here.” Josie said. You turned, rather quickly, and Hope was quick to rush between the two of you.
“What she means is, that she hasn’t been to New Orleans before and she doesn’t know how things work here. It seems unlikely to work in her experience of vampires.” Hope explained quickly. You were satisfied with the way the girl flinched. She pushed off the tree and stepped closer to her sister who was glaring at you.
“We’ve done fine without her opinions. We’ll do fine for many more years.” You answered curtly and started to lead the way through the woods. Joise stared at you, a lot, as you cleared the way through the woods. You had the sense that she wanted to argue with you, question you. After all you’d told them that they had to stay in New Orleans but hadn’t told them why. Freya had mentioned it but if you were honest you hadn’t given it much thought, as the last Mikaelson vampire in town, you were the one to chase the big bads away. At the time you had things far more serious to worry about than little witches.
“Will you be long?” Hope asked. She was nervous. You shrugged and reached out to squeeze her shoulder as Vincent came into view and you paused, midstride. She stopped with you. The twins looked at each other and stopped too.
“I wouldn’t trust anyone. It should be over by morning. Freya should be back then.” You told her. She nodded and Josie cleared her throat. You turned, gave her such a hard glare that you were sure a shiver of nerves shot through her.
“Will Freya help us with the spell, so we can go home?” Josie asked quickly. Her sister muttered and agreed.
“I assume so. I don’t see why else she’d bring you all this way.” You answered. Both twins seemed genuinely pleased at your answer and followed Hope towards the gathered group of witches. Josie and her sister glanced back over their shoulders at you. But you headed in the opposite direction to Vincent.
The Best Big Sister
Tumblr media
Flufftober, October 7th
Baby female Mikaelson reader x Hope Mikaelson
Warnings: none
a/n: I cant tell you how much I love writing big sister hope
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You crawl around the house, you've been crawling for what seems like forever, and still no sign of your big sister. Where is she?
Your Mama and Dada seem perfectly fine and they don't seem to be worrying about where Hope is. But you are, and you want to make sure she's okay and she's not gone forever and you want her. You feel lonely. You have your parents and then your uncles and aunts, but it doesn't compare to your big sister.
You slump back down onto the ground, your back leaning against one of the walls in Hope's bedroom.
As you think of Hope and how much you want her, a tingly feeling goes throughout your entire body. One second you're on the ground of your sister's room, and the next you're sitting in a small office room. It kind of looks like Uncle Elijah's study.
You hear a scream from across the room, only to see a grown man that you have never seen before.
"Holy shit!" Alaric explains, jumping up from his office chair, and walks towards you.
Hearing the unknown man's loud voice makes your face freeze up before big tears start falling down your cheeks. Not long after, your silent tears turn into wailing.
Alaric's face pales, not knowing what to do. Sure he's had twin girls that he raised, but he doesn't know what to do with a baby that just magically appeared in his office.
Before he knows it, five teens fill the office in alert. That is until they see who's making the noise and that the headmaster is doing nothing about it.
"Why do you have a baby?" Kaleb asks, breaking the silence. "Well, she just appeared and when I sort of yelled, she burst out crying.
Hope makes her way to the front of the small crowd and recognizes you instantly. "Oh my god, y/n, how are you here?" Hope says quietly and kneels in front of you.
Your wailing comes to a halt upon hearing your sister's voice. She picks you up into her arms and cradles you against her chest before standing back up. She turns to face the others who have confused looks on their faces.
"How exactly do you know a baby?" Lizzie asks, wanting to know straight away.
"She's my sister, I'm pretty sure it would be weird if I didn't know my baby sister" Hope answers her with a raised eyebrow. "You have a sister?!" Lizzie exclaims.
"I thought you knew?" Hope turns to Josie to confirm it. Josie was the one who had found out when she walked into Hope's room while she was on a video chat with Hayley, and you were in your guys' mother's arms.
"She does. I did tell you, Lizzie, that Hope has a little sister" Josie turns to her twin. Hope told her that she was only allowed to tell Lizzie and to make sure that no one else would find out except the two siphoners.
"I thought you were joking about that" Lizzie states, staring at you. You look back at her, making eye contact.
Hope sighs and rolls her eyes, it's ironic how the one in this school who basically knows everything about everyone thought that a crucial fact her sister told her, was a joke.
"Why didn't we get to know any of this?" MG speaks up, referring to Kaleb and himself.
"I'll let you think it out, you'll get there eventually" Hope quips, before walking out of the office, ignoring the protesting calls from Alaric that she can't keep a baby in the school.
Like she'd ever keep her sister here with no one to watch over you 24/7 because she has classes.
When she gets up to her room, she shifts you to her hip and brings out her phone to call your guys' dad. As she dials the number, you nuzzle into the front of her shoulder, rubbing your cheek against the soft fabric of her shirt.
"Hey Dad, by any chance are you missing a cute little baby that goes by the name of y/n?" Hope smirks, noticing Klaus' distressed answer to the call.
"Yes, why?" Klaus answers immediately. "Don't worry anymore, and stop looking. She's with me. She somehow did a spell by accident, im guessing, and wound up in Headmaster Saltzman's office. She's alright and byt the looks of it is about to fall asleep, so I can maybe drive up back to the house and drop her off tomorrow?" Hope asks since she wants to spend a night alone with you, and she secretly has a bin of things for you if you ever happen to have come here anyway.
Klaus agrees after some persuading, and she hangs up. "Time for some big sister and little sister time!" She quietly exclaims and kisses the top of your head.

Becoming a student at the Salvatore school is surprisingly easy. A few lies here and there, a well thought out sob story that the headmaster eats up, and you're in. Absolutely no compulsion needed.
Honestly you are horrified how little time the school spends checking out your backstory, despite the fact that it works in your favor.
For a school meant to keep their students safe they sure as hell don't seem to be doing their job that well. You're surprised the Klaus Mikaelson would have ever sent his only daughter there.
Getting close to Hope Mikaelson turns out to be nearly impossible, not that you expected it to be easy. While the rest of the students are quick to accept you as one of them, the vampires happy to have you, even the witches and the wolves warming up to your presence, Hope stays away.
You soon learn that's normal behavior for the tribrid, staying away from the other students. You hate her just a bit more for that, your mind happy to make it's own judgement. Because of course the high and mighty Mikaelson stays away from everyone, full of herself just like her father had once been.
Time passes quickly and you make little to no progress in befriending the girl. But surprisingly you aren't that mad about it, while the 'bunny' blood does take some time to get used to, you find yourself enjoying being part of the school. Even if you know it's only a means to an end and not something you should allow yourself to get attached to.
It's Josie Saltzman of all people, the headmaster's daughter, that ends up being the key to befriending Hope. She is one of the few people at the school that Hope doesn't go out of her way to avoid. Obviously being friends with Josie would take you one step closer to Hope.
In hindsight you should have realised that sooner, but better later then never. You don't let your thoughts linger on why using Josie's good natured friendship didn't come to your mind weeks before.
It's a little shocking how easy things go after you realize that. A few kind words to Josie and a few days later the four of you – Josie, Hope, Josie's sister Lizzie and you are hanging out together. The twins turn out to be far more fun to spend time with then you thought, in another life you may have even been actual friends.
Hope takes some time to warm up to you, but you have all of the time in the world. And it's not like there is someone waiting for you in the outside world. After all, Hope's father made sure of that centuries ago when he slaughtered your entire family.
Months pass, you have a routine now, one you can admit to yourself you will miss when everything is over and you leave. Hope is still distant but you're confident that you could be considered friends now. She still doesn't mention her family, not even a word on anything you could use against them, but you learn that you don't hate spending time near her as much as you did before.
The universe seems to have something against you, so of course everything goes horribly wrong the moment you dare to think you might be close to getting what you wanted.
An accident happens, a group of humans attacks the school and Hope ends up killing one of them. Triggering her wolf side.
You're surprised that you are the person she goes to. She's a sobbing mess, trying to explain what had happened, repeating over and over how she didn't mean to. It's only your vampire hearing that makes you understand what's she's saying.
And for the first time, your heart breaks for her. Ignoring the internal turmoil insise your mind is easy when you fully focus on her, gentle and oh so kind as you hug her and tell her it's all going to be alright. She only stops crying once she falls asleep.
You stay by her side and it would be so easy to hurt and maybe even kill her then and there, asleep on your bed, her guard down. You don't.
Next time you see each other, you both pretend it had never happened. Hope leaves the school for a month, you assume her mother came to get her so the two of them could spend Hope's first full moon together. But you don't dare ask her about it when she returns.
You don't mention it but there's a silent understanding between the two of you now and you're closer then ever. You love hate it. You promise to yourself that it if you ever get a chance to kill her again, you'll take it.
(It's a lie. And deep down you know it.)

his princess | alaric saltzman
ship : alaric saltzman x fem!! reader
WARNINGS : fingering, oral ( female receiving, daddy kink, some sir/dr kink, spit, spanking , legal age gap
NOTES : this inspired a dark! alaric fic in me….. thinking dirty thoughts
request? : yes @fulchecker
summery : alaric and you are hunting for malivore monsters, yet you get a little distracted
Tumblr media
Malivore was no joke, sending monsters day after day was getting exhausting. Hope needed a break and decided to have a movie night with the rest of the super squad. And not wanting to leave Alaric alone you ditched your squad and headed with him to go hunt a gremlin … or something.
Okay, maybe you lied. Maybe you just wanted to get to admire your best friends dad alone without them here! Could anyone blame you? His print in his jeans showed he liked your flirty touches!
Alaric didn’t want to act on his impulses. But when you would call him dr. saltzman in your sickeningly sweet voice he would want to tear his pants off and pound you on his desk. But he couldn’t do that — You were his daughters bestfriend!
The gremlin was easy to track, easier to kill. And now you sat in the car with your headmaster — your hot headmaster.
“Get some rest, We should be back soon” Alaric said — his hands gripping the steering wheel.
You bit your lip “I’d rather stay up and talk with you” You gained the confidence to say. It wasn’t unusual for you to throw flirty comments at him once and a while. Doing it when you knew Lizzie or Josie wouldn’t notice.
Alaric raised a eyebrow, your in uniform short skirt and low cut top had his dick hard already. “Is that so?”
You nodded “Yes, sir” You treaded on dangerous territory. Watching the way Alaric gulped, Adjusting his hand placement on the steering wheel.
“Sir?” Alaric questioned. That was a unusual title. Dr.Saltzman / Mr. Saltzman or even a Alaric from hope was what he was used too.
“I mean you are in charge here right?” Alaric’s jeans tightened around his cock at your words “Maybe i should call you.. daddy” Your own eyes widened at your words. But it was just what you needed to say to get what you wanted
The car came to a jolt “What did you say?” Alaric said — caught off guard
You went to apologize “Dr. Saltzman im so-“ He cut you off with his hand on your thigh
“No-No. Say it again” He demanded
“… I’m sorry Daddy” Something in Alaric‘s eyes changed.
His hand trailed up your thigh and touched your slit through your panties. Your pussy was wet and you could hear him chuckle under his breathe.
“Tell me you want this, If you don’t, I’ll stop” His finger rubbed your clit through your panties as you through your head back against the seat.
“P-Please keep going” You panted out. You felt him move your underwear to the side and insert a finger in you and you let out a loud moan.
“That’s a good girl” He said as he rubbed your clit with his thumb
“Daddy please!” You whimpered, bucking your hips to try and get more friction.
“Shhh Princess” He pushed your hair out of your face and pumped another finger in you — You felt like you were floating as his hand was pumping in and out of you.
“Daddy” You mumbled in your foggy state of euphoria.
“Just let go princess, Let go for daddy” He rubbed at your clit and you felt your hips buck and your legs shake as you came hard. Alaric was still rubbing your clit in your high and pushing your hair out of your face — repeating “That’s a good girl, cum for daddy”
You let out a soft moan as you relaxed in your seat. You heard Alaric get out of the car and heard your door open. The next thing you knew he was lifting onto the car hood — Ass up and tugged down your skirt.
Smack You let out a whimper
“You are a naughty little girl, princess” You moaned at his words smack “Teasing daddy since you first arrived at the school — Infront of my daughters, your bestfriends. What would they think of you now?” smack
He flipped you over and undid your school uniform top. He played with your nipples “You are so beautiful darling”
You thanked him through tears, your ass was red and raw “Thank you daddy”
Alaric spit into his hand and rubbed it over your pussy “Be a good girl for daddy” You suddenly felt nervous that someone would see you — looking to the side you saw nobody else was on the road
Alaric’s tongue began lapping at your cunt. You reached down and grabbed his hair, humping at his face as his nose edged you on and on and on- until you were about to let that knot in your stomach explode and then- he pulled away.
He tsked at you “Daddy needs to cum too baby” He lifted your legs up and you moaned the loudest you ever have as you felt him enter you.
His thrusts were rough and jolted you against the car. He loved the way your boobs bounced against your face and you were shaking from the overstimulation. Alaric thrusted himself deep inside you as he felt his thrusts get messier.
“Daddy” You moaned as he sucked ok your nipple and when you felt his warm cum hit your pussy you felt the knot in your stomach explode as he did his last thrusts in you. You guys stayed like that for a few minutes until he pulled out. Pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
“Let’s not tell Lizzie and Josie about this yet”
“Yet?” You questioned
“You thought this would be a one time thing” You smiled.
He pressed a kiss to your forehead “Come on Princess” He helped you off the car and grabbed a wipe to clean you up.

Trust In Me
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
Pairing: Hope Mikaelson x Reader
Tumblr media
“You’re joking. You’re telling me, ME,--your oh so dearest best friend in this universe--that you’re not going to help us play against the Timberwolves even though you’re a freaking tribrid? You have all the powerups you can get and you’re choosing not to use them! What kind of madness is that, Marshall?”
“Professor Saltzman doesn’t let any of you use your abilities anyways, so there’s no real point in me helping the team, is there?”
You feel your eyes roll so far back you're surprised they didn’t fall out, “Come on! Do you have any idea what kind of badass duo we’d be out there?”
“Nope and I don’t intend on finding-”
“We’d be unstoppable! Those asshat Timberwolves won’t know what hit them on that field! You have to play at least one game while you’re at school here! Please!”
Hope responds to your argument with silence and a look on her face that you clearly read as, I’m not playing no matter how much you beg.
You knew there wasn’t any way of getting through to her thick skin, so you accepted your defeat. “Okay, fine,” you huff, taking a seat right next to Hope at the edge of your bed, “You’re still going to cheer me on though, right? I mean, it’s the least you could do.”
She takes an agonizingly long time thinking of her answer while looking at the hopeful ‘puppy dog’ look in your eyes. The longer she took, the bigger you made your eyes which eventually broke Hope into giving you a heartwarming smile, “Yes, I’ll be silently cheering you on.”
You smile back, “That’s all I need, Marshall.”
The alarm tone from your phone jolts you awake from another one of your vivid dreams. After meeting Hope outside the Grill the other night, your dreams have become more realistic than ever before.
They’re almost beginning to feel too real. Maybe the clarification of you knowing Hope is real influenced your brain into putting her into more lifelike dream scenarios.
It didn’t surprise you that the topic of conversation in the dream was about the annual Stallions versus Timberwolves game since it’s happening today. Even though your team has been notorious for losing on purpose every single year, you still liked the not-so-friendly competition between the rival schools.
At this morning's assembly, you were happy to hear your new headmaster’s announcement about banning the ‘throw the game’ rule. Josie seemed to be the only teammate who was hesitant about the sudden change, but everyone else was ecstatic.
The thing that threw you off the most during the assembly was Vardamus assigning Landon as the quarterback. See, you loved the guy and he’s one of your good friends here at the school, but you know damn well that his athletic ability is as good as a decapitated zombie--on either half--and even that was saying much.
You weren’t just saying this to bash on your friend because he was proving your analysis of him correct on the field as the team was warming up. You and Josie were helplessly trying to help him catch the ball after a snap.
Thankfully she has more patience with Landon than you because at this rate it didn’t look like you guys were winning this game either.
“Sorry. Foster care didn’t have a football team.” Landon grumbles after having the ball bounce off his chest.
“At least you didn’t let it hit you in the face this time,” you shrug, earning a searing glare from Josie, “I’ll go warm up over here now.”
You quickly excused yourself and ended up jogging over to Lizzie who was sitting on the bench with a stack of books by her side. First, Landon is your quarterback for the day and now you see Lizzie reading right now instead of warming up.
“What’s going on here? I thought you’d be pissed at Vardamus for giving Landon your QB spot.”
“I’m on a different kind of mission today, Y/n,” she says as you watch her flip through a book of monsters and that gives you the information you needed to know what this was about.
Coincidentally enough, Lizzie also met a new and mysterious stranger the same day you met Hope. The two of you bonded for the past few days over your slightly similar situations which you felt was very weird but also kind of cool.
“There’s no way Sebastian is like us and I’m determined to figure out just what he is.”
“And you couldn’t do this--hm, I don’t know--after the game today?” You ask in urgency for her to play today, “I mean, seriously Lizzie, this could be huge for us.”
“What’s wrong with Landon being your QB?”
Your eyes widen in shock, “Are you kidding? Just look at him!”
The both of you direct your attention to Landon on the field as Josie hands him the football. You prepare yourself for disaster as he winds his arm back, but then you find yourself proven wrong as you watch the distance the ball was being thrown. It seemed to soar through the sky for what felt like hours before bouncing off of a window from the Timberwolves’ bus.
“Looks like he has the magic touch now,” Lizzie says knowingly before returning to her book while you continue to stare at the bus in shock.
Right before you decided it was the best time to look away, a familiar someone seems to catch your eye instead. Walking down the steps of your rival school’s bus was none other than Hope Marshall.
“No way,” you muttered to yourself, unsure if you should be happy to see her again or concerned that she’s on the team you’re playing against.
Absentmindedly, you slowly started drifting away from your spot by Lizzie and felt yourself being pulled in Hope’s direction. You had to get closer to clarify that she was who you were seeing and not some sick mirage you’ve created in your brain.
“L/n!” Dorian jumps in front of you, breaking your trance and blocking your path towards the opposing team, “Save any trash talk for the game. I don’t need you picking a fight with the other players before we even start.”
You had built yourself a reputation for these annual games and were known for getting kicked out due to foul plays off the field, “But Mr. Williams I was just-”
“That’s Coach Williams today, L/n. Back to your side. Go on!” He rushes you away and though you are strong enough to push past him, you’d rather play then be a benchwarmer for the rest of the day.
An annoyed growl rumbles in the back of your throat as you try to catch one more glimpse of Hope, but you were blocked by Dorian’s clipboard.
Josie can clearly see the longing anticipation in your eyes as you join your team’s side of the field. You looked like a lost kid in a mall looking for their parents, “Everything okay, Y/n?”
“Do you remember those drawings from my sketchbook this summer? The ones of that girl, but all you can really see are her eyes and hair?” You ask her in a hushed voice.
She nods, “Yeah, the one you said you’ve been seeing in your dreams.”
“Okay, well I met her the night of our first day back at school. She’s real and she’s here with the Timberwolves,” Josie furrows her eyebrows at you.
“So you met her before your dreams?”
“No. That’s the thing, I’ve never seen her in town before the other night and after all my dreams. I know for damn sure that I’d remember her being on our rival school’s football team given how many times I’ve tried kicking their asses every year.”
“Maybe she’s a new student this year? You very well could’ve seen her at the Grill this summer without even realizing it. Our brains only need to see a face once for them to show up in our dreams.”
“Josie, I swear on everything in my life that it’s-”
The referee’s whistle rings your ears as he calls for everyone’s attention, “Stallions! Timberwolves! Both teams meet in the middle for the coin toss!”
You and Josie sigh knowing that you’d have to put a pin in this conversation, “You ready?” She asks.
You nod, doing a few quick stretches since you didn’t get a lot of warm up time and to prepare yourself for seeing Hope again, “Yeah. Let’s do this.”
A wave of excitement filled your chest as you walked with Josie towards the middle of the field. The bashful smile on your face was hard to contain once your eyes landed back on Hope who you could clarify was very much real and very much here in front of you once more.
“Oh, wow,” Josie mutters with surprise from beside you.
“I told you I liked my chances, Marshall,” you smirk, gaining a small tight lipped smile from Hope in return.
“I guess today was your lucky day, then. Not for long, though,” she challenged, playfully squinting her eyes at you.
You lean your body slightly forward with a confident grin, “We’ll see about that.”
Your teammates share a confused look at the interaction they were witnessing between you two. “I see you’re... familiar with each other,” Hope’s teammate chimes in.
With a shrug you say, “We’re practically married. Isn’t that right, Marshall?”
Hope shakes her head at you, biting her lip to keep her mouth shut long enough for Vardamus to stand between your two teams and break your friendly banter.
With a little sprinkle of magic from Josie, your team won the coin toss with ease so the Stallions would be receiving the ball at the start.
“Okay, what was that?” Josie asks as the two of you walk back to your side of the field.
“What? Did you want me to call heads instead?”
“No! Not that. You and that girl.”
“I told you we met the other night,” you shrug, “and her name is Hope for your information.”
“That was not an interaction from two people who’ve only had one conversation, Y/n. Not to mention she really does look like the girl from your drawings. Are you sure you haven’t met before?”
“That’s what I was telling you and yes, I’m positive that I’ve never interacted with her prior to the other night. You think that if I hadn’t seen or met her at the Grill during the summer that we wouldn’t be best friends by now?”
“Well, you could’ve fooled me! I know you’re labeled as the social butterfly and all, but that must’ve been some long conversation if that’s how you’re acting around each other.”
You pause to think about it for a moment, “Actually it was only about ten minutes.”
“WHAT?!”
The conversation was cut short by the sound of the ref’s whistle signaling you all to line up for kickoff. You jog away to your position before Josie can interrogate you any longer and wait for the game to begin.
Stallions were able to use magic to their advantage and gain points within the first play which was something you never thought you’d see during your time here. As everyone repositions into defense, you notice that Hope is the quarterback for the Timberwolves.
“Okay, Y/n. I’m about to suggest something you may or may not like,” Josie says from next to you.
“Don’t worry, I got the QB,” you grin, gaining Hope’s attention. She notices the mischievous look in your eyes and almost looks as if she knows what you’re up to, making her a little nervous.
“Like it is, I guess,” Jo huffs.
Once the football reached Hope’s hands, you made a b-line towards her, quick to avoid any other players who were blocking your way. Careful not to crush her during the fall, you took Hope by the waist and spun the both of you to the ground.
Your tackle didn’t do much good given that she was still able to pass the ball. Whether it got to her teammate or not you weren’t too sure of at the moment because Hope’s body was literally tangled with yours.
With her one hand against your chest and the other keeping her propped up on the grass, Hope’s face was almost an inch away from you. Feeling her breathing heavily on your face, you oddly felt like you’ve been in this exact position before.
“Bet you enjoyed doing that, huh?” Hope speaks up, getting you to huff out a chuckle.
“Well it wasn’t the preferred way I wanted to take you out, per say, but a little bit, yeah,” you smile, getting her to laugh in return.
Being in this position with someone you’ve talked to so briefly should feel awkward, but for whatever reason it just felt right. If it weren’t for the fact that you were playing in a football match, you’d probably want to stay like this for a while longer.
Suddenly, Hope’s eyes widen as she quickly rolls off you and begins wincing in pain while grabbing at her ankle.
“Are you okay?” You ask while sitting up.
“Ah, I don’t know. I-I think it’s sprained,” she lightly groans, scrunching up her face.
“Shit, Marshall. I’m sorry. I didn’t realize that I-” you shake your head, pushing yourself to your feet before reaching out to help Hope up, “here, I can help take you to the nurse if you want.”
“It’s okay. I can find it,” she shakes her head and she takes note of the worried look in your eye knowing that you had hurt her, “Hey, seriously Y/n, it’s fine. I’ll be okay.” Hope squeezes your arm and gives you a reassuring look before limping off the field.
You watched as she walked away, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion. You were sure that you were careful while pulling her to the ground. Hope didn’t seem to be in any sort of pain for the first few seconds after tackling her.
“You know she faked her injury right?” Josie pops in out of nowhere, making your heart nearly burst out of your chest.
“Jesus, Jo,” you take a deep breath before taking in her inquisition, “And you think so?”
“Yeah and I don’t know why, but maybe you should keep an eye on her.”
“Why? Do you think she’ll steal some snacks from the kitchen?” You jokingly ask.
“Well, you started having dreams of her after Malivore was destroyed and now she seems to be oddly gravitated to this town and our school. I’m just saying that you should be a little more careful about trusting her so fast.”
Though you haven’t felt anything off-putting about Hope, Josie had an annoyingly excellent point. “I guess I’m on watch duty, then. Find a sub for me.”
It was shocking to see that Hope had gotten so far ahead of you that you weren’t even in running distance from her. Oddly fishy for someone who just sprained their ankle. Even as you walked into the school, there was no sign of her in the halls or the nurse’s office.
There was one thing that stuck out--a familiar scent that you had smelled in that vacant dorm room this summer. Only this time it was a lot stronger than when you first caught it.
Out of curiosity, you followed the smell just to see if it would lead you anywhere. Crazily enough, it didn’t take you to the vacant room like you thought it would, but to Landon and Raf’s dorm room instead.
Your eyes widen to the size of saucers when you see Hope sitting cross-legged in front of a map that she was currently dripping her own blood onto.
“Hope?”
She quickly turns around and stands, startled by the sound of your voice, “Y/n! Uh, I um, this isn’t what it--”
“Isn’t what it looks like? Right. Well, it looks like you faked an injury to sneak into the school. It looks like you forgot to mention you were a witch the other night. It also looks like you’re doing a locator spell in my missing friend’s room.”
Hope remains silent for a couple of seconds, almost taken back by the passive way you were speaking to her, “Okay, maybe it’s exactly what it looks like.”
You huff out a sigh in disbelief, letting Josie’s suspicions about Hope sink into your head now.
“I’m not here to hurt you or anyone else here, Y/n. I promise, I’m trying to help. Dr. Saltzman asked me to do a locator spell on Rafael so that I can help him return to his human form.”
You give her a questioning look, “We’ve been looking for a way to turn him back for months now. What makes you think you can?”
“Because I know more about the Crescent Wolf Clan than anyone else here.”
You raise a brow, “That wolf pack in New Orleans? If you know so much about it, wouldn’t that make you a…” then the realization sets in.
Hope sees that you’re still skeptical, “Look, I can’t explain everything right now, but I really need you to trust me, Y/n.”
Most of the context clues told you that trusting someone you’ve only known for less than a day was a terrible, terrible idea, but your heart wouldn’t let you believe that.
As much as you shouldn’t, you trusted Hope more than anything.
You exhale, “Okay, Marshall. I’m trusting you. Is there anything you need me to do?”
Hope gives you a grateful smile, “Keep an eye on Landon. There’s a werewolf-eating monster out in the woods and I have no idea if it will be after him, too,” she says, walking past you and into the hallway.
Again, you’re confused with even more new information, “Wait, there’s a what in the woods? And how do you know the monster would be after Landon?” Hope ignores your questions, continuing to speed walk in front of you, “Marshall!”
A lot of events took place within the next couple of hours. You did as Hope asked and watched Landon back at the game which seemed pretty boring at first.
Josie took you by surprise as you witnessed her break another player’s arm with a spell mid-play, but to be fair it didn’t look like she realized what she was doing until the damage was done.
If that wasn't physically violent enough, there was a huge mosh fight between both schools after the game was over. You tried getting out of the crossfire because the last thing you needed was detention for being involved in something you didn’t mean to be a part of.
That didn’t go as planned seeing as one of the Timberwolves was able to punch a mean hook on your right cheek before you could scramble out of there. Most of the redness faded by the end of the night, but it was still a little sore whenever you poked at it.
Hope was able to return Raf back to his human form just like she said she would. He explained how this “mysterious girl” saved his life then you and your friends gave him a warm welcome back to humanity.
After cleaning yourself up, you snuck out of the school’s building to find Hope sitting out at one of the piers where she told you to meet her before parting ways earlier.
You could tell she had cleaned up as well judging by the change of clothes and seeing that her hair was no longer tied up in braids, but now flowing down over her shoulders.
“Well, today was eventful, huh?” You speak up, groaning as you take a seat next to her.
“Oh, my God. Y/n, your face!” Hope exclaims.
“You know you can just call me ugly, Marshall. There’s no need for you to act all aghast about it.” You tease.
“No, I mean the gash on your cheek.” She reaches for your face to observe your wound more clearly.
You let her lightly trace along the edge of the bump, almost unfazed by the contact, “Oh right, that.”
“What kind of altercation did you get yourself into?”
You scoff, looking more hurt by the question rather than the punch to your face, “Bold of you to assume it was me who initiated the altercation, Marshall.”
“Well, you just seem like the type is all.” She looks at you with a teasing look in her eyes.
“What a kind and accurate assumption you have of me there, but for the record I wasn’t the one who started the fight. Everyone just started going at each other after the game and I got caught in the crossfire.”
There’s a very noticeable shift in Hope’s mood and you can tell that she was genuinely worried about you getting hurt. All she could think about was the last time you were caught in the crossfire and how it nearly cost you your life. You didn’t know that, of course, but you felt the need to reassure her.
“You’re cute when you’re worried, Marshall, but I’m fine. I promise, a punch to the face is like a slap on the wrist. You should know the healing process is quite fast for a werewolf.” You give her a knowing look.
Hope’s eyes widen in realization, making her finally pull her hand away from your face. “You caught onto that, huh?”
“I figured it out once you mentioned the Crescent Wolves. Raf only confirmed it when he explained how this mysterious werewitch saved his life,” Hope looks down at her lap looking like a kid who got caught in a lie, “Thank you, by the way. For bringing my friend back.”
She meets your gaze again, giving you a tight lipped smile, “You’re welcome.”
“You know it’s too bad you didn’t have me helping you out there. Given that we’ve got a pretty good thing going on here, we could’ve made a badass team.”
“You got punched in the face by a human. How do you think you would’ve stood against a monster that actively wanted to kill you?”
“That’s the whole point of being a team. One runs around failing miserably while the other pulls the weight.”
Hope scrunches her eyebrows together, “That’s literally not what being a team is supposed to be like at all.”
“Seriously?” You ask cluelessly, “Damn, well I guess I’ve been doing it wrong all this time.”
She laughs and for the first time you notice the way her eyes squint together when she really lets herself smile. It sparked a feeling in you that you hadn’t felt before.
“You’re just full of surprises today, aren’t you, Marshall?” You speak up in a playful tone, lightly bumping her shoulder, “Has our 24-hour friendship meant nothing to you? I mean, seriously, how could you not tell me you were a hybrid?”
Hope gives you an appalled scoff, “You didn’t tell me you were a werewolf. Looks like we both hid something from each other last night.”
You stare at her for a second, squinting your eyes as you analyze her, “Hmm. Touche, Marshall.”
She lets out another laugh and this time you swear you can feel your heart begin to grow.
Gosh, she’s really beautiful.
You wished you could say the words aloud. Part of you was surprised that you couldn’t given how bold you’ve been with Hope regardless of the little amount of time you’ve known her.
As much as you wanted to make some sort of move now, you felt you had to draw the line somewhere.
“Y/n, you’re staring.” Hope tells you in a voice that was just above a whisper.
You blink yourself back to reality, “Sorry,” you say with your voice just as hushed, “It’s just that… I think…” For the first time in your life you have no idea what to say. No witty comment or dumb remark.
You searched her deep blue eyes for an answer you couldn’t find. If anything you felt even more lost the longer you looked into them.
I really want to kiss you right now. Your mouth was open, but no words were willing to come out.
For a second you swore you saw Hope begin to lean forward, but the moment ended rather abruptly thanks to your cell phone ringer.
“Jesus,” you flinch yourself back into reality once again before picking up the phone, “Hello?”
“Y/n, where the hell are you? Vardamus has done a room check twice now and says you haven’t been answering your door.” Lizzie frantically asks you.
“I’ll be there in a second. Just cover for me if he’s still lurking in the halls and tell him I’m knocked out from today’s game.”
“Fine, just hurry your ass up!” She whisper-shouts before hanging up.
You let out a deep and exaggerated sigh, “Well, fun’s over, Marshall,” you grin sadly, “It’s pumpkin time.”
She returns a soft smile back at you, “I guess this is goodbye.”
“I’ll only say goodbye if it means we’re gonna say hello again,” you tell her as you rise to your feet.
“Well, then let's not say goodbye,” she says while you help her up, “Maybe if we just say goodnight instead, that's gotta mean we'll see each other again.”
You look down at her with a smirk, “That's all I need, Marshall.”
Hope rolls her eyes with a smile she couldn't contain. Just when you thought she’d walk away, she takes you by surprise as she presses a small kiss on your wounded cheek, “Goodnight, Y/n.”
You bite the sides of your cheeks to keep your smirk from turning into the goofiest looking smile you could possibly imagine, “Goodnight, Hope,” you say, finally turning back to make your way towards the school.
At this point, you couldn’t tell if the heat in your face was from the kiss or the punch.

A few days after the incident in the cafeteria Y/N began to slowly talk to the witches and vampires, but still kept her distance from the werewolves. After what happened she didn’t want to give them any ammunition against her. For whatever reason, she noticed that Jed was constantly trying to talk to her or apologize for the events that happened days prior. She really didn’t want anything to do with him or his pack considering they were just trying to pick a fight with her for no reason, but Jed really did want to apologize to her.
Y/N had a study hall, which she generally spent with the twins and Hope. She was already sitting at their usual spot in the student lounge, working on her homework and waiting for the girls. Jed just so happened to have a study hall as well, but most of his were recently trying to figure out what he was going to say to Y/N. Today was the day he decided to pull on his big boy pants and just talk to her. Taking in a deep breathe he walked over to where she was sitting and sat in the chair opposite of her.
“I know you probably don’t want to talk to me but I want to get to know you and apologize for what my pack did the other day in the cafeteria.” Jed said quickly. Y/N looked up from her notebook, a clear ‘I’m not interested’ look plastered on her face. “Please let me make it up to you.” There was a moment of silence before she let out a sigh and nodded in agreement. Jed grinned as he stood up, clapping his hands together. “Great, uh okay, tonight around seven?” Y/N agreed and Jed finally left her alone just as the other three girls showed up. They all eyed Jed, giving him a death glare as he walked by them.
Jade let out a breathe of relief as he went to go find Landon, Kaleb and M.G. After walking around the school for a few minutes he found them in Landon’s room, all of them arguing about which Superman actor was the best.
“Nah man, Henry Cavil as Superman was the best, he just embodied it more.” M.G argued with Landon as he shook his head at him.
Landon let out a grunt as he leaned back against his head board. “The original Superman was the best, I don’t get why you can’t understand that.” Their stupid banter was cut short as Kaleb looked over at an awkward Jed standing in the doorway. “Uh, hey man, can we help you?” Landon said as looked just confused as his two vampire friends.
“I need your guys’ help with setting up a date tonight to make it up to Y/N.” Jed spoked quickly, his nerves starting to get the best of him.
Kaleb snorted as he shook his head, “And why should we help you? You’re the one that fucked up with your little crush.” Kaleb rolled his eyes.
Jed balled up his fists and clenched his jaw. “She’s not just a crush.” He said as he began to calm himself down, “She’s my mate, and I feel horrible about what happened in the cafeteria.” He said softly, sincerity was laced in his voice which told the three boys that he was serious about making it up to Y/N.
As much as the three boys didn’t like Jed for everything he had done to them and how he treated all of them, they could tell by the way he was fiddling with his hands and tapping his feet, he was nervous and really wanted everything to be perfect.
M.G. nodded as he stood up, “I’ll help, but only because Y/N deserves to know that she has people that care about her.” Jed nodded in agreement and glanced over at the other two students. They groaned as they grumbled a ‘fine’, all three of them going along with whatever was about to happen.
“Do you at least have any plans? You’re not just gonna get her and not having anything to do right?” Kaleb questioned as he raised an eyebrow at the werewolf. Jed stayed silent. “So not only are we helping you get this ready for Y/N, we’re helping you plan the whole thing because apparently you can’t plan something as simple as this.”
Jed rolled his eyes, “It’s not as simple as you think. She’s my mate and I messed up with what happened the other day, she deserves to know how I feel and everything needs to be perfect.” The three boys sighed as they put their belongings to the side and made a spot for Jed in their group. Jed walked over to where they were, taking a seat on the floor and pulling a notebook out from his backpack.
The four students planned the nights events during their off period and during lunch, making sure that Jed had all of his bases covered. They had decided to go with a night time picnic, making one of Y/n’s favorite dishes but also making sure to keep a blood bag cooled in the basket. They were going to set it all up in the witches hang out spot, thinking that it would be more romantic and secluded there than anywhere else. Everything seemed good so far, they had the place, time, meals, it seemed perfect.
That was until someone told the rest of the werewolves and they were making it their mission to sabotage the evening.
Jed and the other three boys began putting everything together for the nights events once school was over, which was around three o’clock. MG and Landon were on decorations out in the little witch hide out while Jed and Kaleb were on meal prepping. Though Kaleb hated the boy, he did have to admit that what he was doing for Y/N was sweet and he thought it was almost honorable that he was going to such lengths to apologize to Y/N.
Kaleb let out an awkward cough as he walked across the kitchen to grab some ingredients for his side of the meal he was making. “You know man, I think it really is nice what you’re doing for Y/N. It shows that you really care about her.” Jed was taken back a bit, surprised that such kind words came out of Kaleb’s mouth.
Instead of saying some snarky comment he replied with a simple ‘thank you’, before the two fell back into silence.
While the boys had been preparing for the night, they had managed to rope the girls into their plans and got them to help Y/N get ready for the evening. Yes she did know that her and Jed were having dinner that evening, but she didn’t know just how far he was taking it. When Lizzie began pulling out these fancy dresses she thought the girls were really just out here trying to get her laid. It aggravated Y/N that everyone else knew what was happening but she had no clue. Being left in the dark was her least favorite thing, it meant she couldn’t prepare for things.
“Hello, earth to Y/N.” Lizzie snapped her fingers in front of the heretic’s face, causing Y/N to snap out of her daze. Her eyes locked onto Lizzie who had an annoyed expression on her face since Y/N wasn’t paying attention to what she had just asked her.
Y/N hummed looking at her like she had been listening, tilting her head to try and make it more convincing. “I’m sorry, what did you say?” Y/N asked.
Lizzie rolled her eyes as she held up two dresses.  One was a longer floral dress with a slit up the side, and the other was a slightly shorter floral dress as well. In Y/N’s eyes she didn’t see the difference between the two dresses, they were just clothes. Lizzie handed her the first dress since Y/N didn’t want to make a decision and told her to go put it on. Y/N did so with an annoyed groan. Did she think something spontaneous was going to come out of this? Y/N was only being nice to Jed and that’s why she accepted his offer for dinner tonight, there was nothing else to it.
Y/N slid into the dress, sighing as she didn’t want to see what she looked like in it, she was never one to dress up and draw extra attention to herself. She got enough that being a heretic. She stepped out of the bathroom, smoothing down the sides of the dress and looking up at the three girls were gawking at the sigh in front of her.
“What? Does it not look good?” Why was she stressing over this? It’s not like this was a date or anything. “Maybe I should just put my other clothes back on.” As she went to reach for the outfit she wore earlier that day Josie stopped her by gently grabbing her wrist.
“You look amazing, Y/N. You should see for yourself.” She said as she turned her friend towards the mirror. Y/N looked up at her reflection, her own gasp almost escaping her lips. She did look good, really good in fact. The dress hugged her just right, every curve, roll, and dip of her body the dress perfected it.
Y/N could see the girls smiling behind her causing her to smile herself. She had never felt so.. happy with how she looked before, this was a first for her. The girls continued on their quest to help Y/N get ready for the rest of the evening.
About an hour and half later, Landon came knocking on the door to see if Y/N was ready yet. Thankfully they had just finished up her hair and she was ready to go. She hugged the girls and thanked them as she walked out and followed a very speedy Landon down the stairs. He didn’t walk her all the way out to where Jed had set up their evening.
Y/N followed the trail of fairy light along a pebbled path until she reached the witch’s hiding area. It was decorated quite nicely, even she would have to admit that the boy had put in a lot of effort to make the place look nice. Y/N’s doubts about the werewolf hadn’t completely faded as she hadn’t seen any sign of him, that was until she saw him lighting a few more candles around the edges of the small building to give it some more light.
“Looks like you’ve really out done yourself, huh?” Y/N said as she stepped under the roof. Jed quickly turned around, nearly knocking over a candle and setting the place on fire. She chuckled at his clumsiness and walked over to the table.
Jed cleared his throat as he smoothed out his blazer. “You look amazing.” Jed’s breathe seemed to have a hard time returning to his body after his first look at the girl in front of him. Of course he thought she was beautiful anyways, but this? This was something else. Jed walked over to where Y/N was going and pulled out the chair for her to sit. She did so, mumbling a soft ‘thank you’. The werewolf walked back over to his seat and smiled awkwardly.
Yes, Jed had been on dates before, many dates to be honest, but this was his fist date with his mate. The person he’d be spending the rest of his life with if the world would to be so kind and allow that to happen. He reached into the center of the table and unveiled the nights meal, Korean beef bowls with fried dumplings. Y/N was a little shocked to say the least, Korean food was one of her favorite foods so the fact that he made her something she enjoyed was pretty unexpected.
“Kaleb said you liked Korean food and I remember my parents teaching me how to make this so I thought it was a good idea.” Jed nervously explained as he handed one the bowls to Y/N. She took with a smile.
“It’s great thank you.” She said softly. Her hard exterior was finally starting to come down, something that rarely happened even if she was with close friends and family. Jed smiled as the two began to eat and make small talk, the two finally learning new things about the other.
There was no doubt in Y/N’s mind that something was.. different when she talked to Jed. She felt safe, which was a new feeling for her since she had literally been hunted down and despised her whole life. She felt like she was able to talk to him about anything, though she knew she wouldn’t because of how bad of an idea it was, she still felt like she could.
As the night went on Jed kept trying to figure out how he was going to tell Y/N that she was his mate. The one she was meant to be with forever. It’s not something to take lightly, and lord knows what a half witch, half vampire would think about this. Y/N would for sure thing Jed was playing another sick joke on her, something the pack put him up to. It was eating away at him on the insides, he just wanted to blurt it out and clear the air.
That’s kind of what happened.
Jed was about to explain everything to her, from why he was so mean to her on her first day, to the moment he invited her to eat lunch with him and the rest of his pack, to that very moment of the two teens sitting and enjoying a meal. That didn’t happen though.
Somewhere around them there were pack members ready to pounce on their prey and ruin Jed and Y/N’s night. The girl from before, the one who had started trouble with Y/N in the first place, wanted revenge for being humiliated in front of the whole school. In the midst of her anger, she and a few other werewolves who weren’t too fond of the new girl, hatched a plan to completely ruin Jed’s wonderfully planned evening and to make his mate hate him forever.
She nodded to her pack members as they emerged from a few bushes, all of them holding a dark colored liquid that resembled blood a little too well. As soon Y/N caught their scent she had stopped talking and narrowed her eyes at Jed. He was confused at first, and then he saw his friends.
“Well, what do we have here?” The girl hummed. She swung the bottle around haphazardly, not having a care in a world what would happen if it splashes onto the two.
Jed stood up in a protective type stance, his hands bawled at his sides. “What are you doing here?” Jed was pissed, that much was obvious. Y/N watched as they slowly became surrounded by the small group of wolves, all of them holding identical bottles.
“Just came to see if you told your mate, what she is to you.” One of the other wolves sneered, “wanted to see if you told her the truth yet.”
Y/N was beyond confused and looked at Jed with raised eyebrows, her arms crossing over her chest as she waited for a response. There was chuckling all around her as the wolves drew closer, encasing them in their circle.
“It looks like you haven’t yet, have you?” They mused towards Jed, he looked at Y/N with a wary glance. Y/N looked at them, wondering if any of them were going to spit it out or not. They looked her dead in the eye as the opened up their bottles with a wicked grin. “He thinks you’re a nasty bloodsucker that he’s stuck with as a mate.” Without any further hesitation they doused the teens in a waterfall of the deep red liquid. It wasn’t blood, probably watered-down fake blood, but it still triggered Y/N.
Her dress, the one that wasn’t even hers to begin with, was now stained red as if she had just gone on a ripper rampage, she was just told this was all another joke and everyone basically thought of her as a monster. She couldn’t hold back anymore as her fangs released themselves and she made her way towards each of the werewolves.
The scene unfolding before Jed’s eyes could have honestly been from a horror movie with the way everything was moving. Before Jed had even realized, Y/N had put two of the werewolves on the ground in a whimpering mess. They were hurt, badly as it seemed to be. She took them out one by one, switching between her strength and then spells. She had the last wolf corned against the wall as they tried to back away from her as far as they could. Her hand wrapped around their throat, squeezing slightly as she growled at them, “You come near me again I’ll rip your hearts from your chests and use them as sacrifices, do you understand me?” Her voice was terrifying, menacing even.
The wolf nodded as she threw him against the wall then skirted off with the rest of his pals. Y/N was never one to lose control the way she just did, but after all this torment from the wolves they needed to put into place.
As if it was second nature, she calmed down with a few mumbled curses under her breathe before she turned to face Jed. This would not be easy to recover from. He saw her lash out, he saw what she could do and how utterly terrifying she can be. She was a monster, one that didn’t deserve a mate like Jed.
The boy was still stuck in his original place, the blood drying to his clothes and staining them. Jed went to go move forward to Y/N, but in return she stepped back even more. She was trying to stop the tears forming in her eyes, though it seemed her body and emotions were getting the best of her. Jed looked sad, he felt sad. Why would his pack, his friends ruin this? They all go to same school, they all share the same walls of the school. Why was her being his mate so horrible to them?
Before Jed could even get a word in to Y/N they heard rapid footsteps approaching, turning their attention to the group of friends that stood behind them. Y/N turned around to look at their faces, sure that they’d all hate after how she lost her temper.
“Oh my god,” Josie covered her mouth in shock as she looked at the scene. Though the wolves were no longer present, the blood stained clothes and tears in Y/N’s eyes said enough.
“I’m so sorry,” Y/N whispered softly as she looked at the group, tears now falling freely down her cheeks. “They ruined the dress- I’m so so sorry. I can pay to have it cleaned, or buy a new one, I’m so sorry.” Y/N was rambling about something that didn’t even really matter, but yet she was still worried about it.
Josie, Lizzie, and Hope walked towards Y/N as she stayed still in her place, not daring to move. “Y/N, we don’t care about the dress.” Lizzie said softly, “We wanted to make sure you’re okay.”
At that moment she lost it, crying so hard her knees almost gave out below her. She shook her head rapidly, sobbing as loud as her chest would allow her to. “No, no I’m not okay. I don’t understand why they hate me so much, I haven’t done anything to them!” She exclaimed rather harshly. “I hate it here, I hate this.” She sobbed.
Hope looked at Jed who was still standing their quietly. The tribrid was giving him the death stare, and boy if looks could kill he’d for sure be dead. Jed was staring at his alpha, Raphael. He was begging for help, any help in fact. He didn’t like seeing his mate in pain, sobbing that she hated their school and possibly him. This was his chance to make up for what his pack had done the other day at lunch, but here they were again, his pack ruining everything for him.
Anyone with a good pair of eyes would be able to tell that Kaleb and M.G. were pissed beyond belief. Their eyes locked onto the young wolf, and if it weren’t for Raphael being there they would’ve ripped him a new one.
Y/N turned towards Jed after a moment, her tears mixing with the dried fake blood, her mascara running down her face. “I no longer wish to be your mate.” She said in a dead tone. “I will not be treated like this, and if it is true that you are my... mate, I do not wish for this to go any farther.” She didn’t think that saying those words would have hurt as much as they did, but now she felt like she was having her crushed with a mallet over and over again.
Jed’s heart fell to his stomach at her words. He was losing his mate, all because his stupid pack wouldn’t accept the truth. “No, no please I promise you they were lying. Not about you being my mate, that is true, but I don’t think you’re a monster. I want you as my mate, please.” Jed had managed to get within a few feet of Y/N and now she could see that he was also crying. Y/N looked down at her feet, refusing to look him in the eye.
“This was a mistake,” She mumbled towards so the ground, “it was all a mistake and I’m sorry it put you through so much trouble.” Jed’s heart was breaking, he felt like his life would end right then and there. Y/N turned back to her friends who were shocked that she had just ended with things, and more importantly that Jed was pleading for her to stay.
Without another word Y/N began the walk back to the school, cloaking herself in the invisibility spell as she walked. The group followed, leaving Jed there in the dark to cry to himself.
-
Days passed after that horrid night and no one had seen or heard from Jed and Y/N as the two had locked themselves in their rooms. They stayed there all day and night, only occasionally coming out to get food or shower.
While the vampires and witches were trying to console Y/N and reassure her that she did nothing wrong and was not a monster, the werewolves were out spreading rumors about that night. She heard everything of course, between gossip and her advanced hearing, it wasn’t hard to miss
Jed wanted revenge. He was angry, pissed off beyond belief. These people were supposed to be his family, his pack, and they went out of their way to make his life a living hell so that he wouldn’t have his mate. No matter their reasons behind it, they were all probably insanely stupid anyways, he was going to get back at them for what they did and get his mate back.
Most of the time he’d spend in his room he was hatching a plan to get back at his pack and teach them a lesson. He knew that practically all of the pack had not met their mates yet, the few that have had not gotten involved in the fighting over his mate. He’d hit them where it hurts and then go plead with Y/N to get her back.
Meanwhile, Y/N was looking at other schools for the supernatural. She really didn’t need to be in a school for the supernatural, but she figured it’d be easier to go there then to a regular human high school. She no longer wished to be within the same walls as her mate, even if she barely knew him, having told him that she did not want to be his mate made her heart ache in ways she didn’t know were possible.
Y/N’s music was playing softly in the background of her room as she looked at the dark web for the supernatural to find another school to go to. Any would be fine, there were a few out there, not a lot took heretics or mixed the species, but there were a few that did. Too lost in thought as she scrolled through a school in London had she missed the knock on her door. She ignored it, turning her music up a bit to drown out the person on the other side of the door, but unfortunately this person seemed very persistent.
“Go away!” Y/N shouted to the person on the other side of the door. The knocking continued, making Y/N more agitated. She got up, slamming her laptop shut as she marched to the door and threw it open. “I said ‘go away’, do you not understand that?” She growled, her anger get the best of her and turning her eyes that vibrant purple.
Jed stood there, mouth dry and heart racing. It took Y/N a moment to realize that it was him standing there and one her anger stopped blinding her, she shrank back a bit and stepped further behind the door. Jed was holding flowers and her favorite candy, the saddest most desperate look crossing his face as he looked at his mate.
Slowly he held out the gifts as he stuttered out an apology, “I’m sorry for what happened the other night, I want you to know that and I want you to know that- that I don’t see you as a monster or anything like that. I see you as my mate, someone I want to be with until the day I die and I will do absolutely anything for you to understand that.”
Y/N looked down at her slippers, the only shoes she had been wearing since that horrific night. “I- I don’t know, I don’t think this- whatever it is, would work. It’s just not in the cards for either one of us.” She mumbled as she was about to turn her back and close the door, but Jed’s foot got in the way of that.
“Tell me you don’t feel anything, and if you don’t then I’ll leave you alone but I know you have to feel something.” His eyes were pleading for her to say that she felt something like he did, that she felt the connection but instead she shook her head and lied.
 “I- I don’t feel anything for you. I’m sorry.” Before Jed was able to get out another word Y/N had the door closed and locked. The pain they both felt was enough to make them stop breathing for a few seconds. Both of them waited on their sides of the doors, hoping the other would continue to fight for their mating bond, but that is not what happened.
Too much pain and heartbreak had been endured by these two teens, but there was still more to come..
