Ahhhh I’m so excited to share this! In honor of Spooktober, and also my love and adoration of podfics, I decided to try to do a podfic of one of my Spooktober fics from last year (I know it seems narcissistic, but please consider that a) I’m a narcissist, and b) I didn’t want to do somebody else’s and do a bad job with it 😂). So without further ado, my lovely little reading of this fuckin 25k word monster. 

(A note for those who are unfamiliar- podfics are basically just audiobooks for fanfics)

Day 6: Grim Reaper

If you ever decide to stay at school overnight, be sure to stay awake or else your soul will attract The God of Death.

Lycoris radiata (aka. Red Spider Lily) is associated with death. Since these scarlet flowers usually bloom near cemeteries around the autumnal equinox, they are described in Chinese and Japanese as ominous flowers that grow in Hell and guide the dead into the next reincarnation. Perhaps because of these legends, people often used these flowers in funerals.

JSHK Spooktober Day 2! Costumes

Time of costumes and fall is upon us! I wanted to participate in JSHK Spooktober 🧡 Idk if I’ll be able to do the other days but I got Day 2 Dolls/Costumes done! I recently watched the first season of Chuunibiyou with my bestie @mokkemusic and fell in love with the main two characters Yuuta and Rikka who look VERY similar to my two favorite characters in tbhk aoi and akane. So I had Aoikane dress up as Yuuka and had Yuuka dress up as Aoikane 😝

Dana always talkin about hananene supremacy is now eating her words since she’s got her Aoikane look a like ship 😝

(For any of my younger followers, Chuunibiyou is NOT a kids anime! Go watch my hero academia or tbhk okay 🥰❤️)

a question?! on Aidairo's twitter there are some monster eggs and in these eggs they were Mitsuba, Nene and a Mokke, and Nene got Tsukasa as some kind of teacher, was It some kind of voting because Tsukasa and Nene looks like they are getting along! did we know who it was in the eggs before the vote?

I also was a little confused so I consulted @rapidfur and @spades-queen, and apparently who got which egg was determined by voting, but the catch was that we didn’t know which researcher we were assigning the eggs to. So it was kinda random too! 

And YES! Tsukasa being a dad to monster Nene is something I never knew I needed.

Okay so literally nobody asked, but I had so many ideas for Spooktober this year and only had time to actually write one of them (RIP to my outlines lol). SO since I also am unlikely to write any of these in the near future due to work obligations/NaNoWriMo, I’ve decided to share my favorites.

Day 3: Raven

Okay this one would’ve been SO geeky but I’m a HUGE Edgar Allan Poe fan (an Edgar Allan Hoe, if you will), so I really wanted to do an au inspired by The Raven and Annabel Lee (I’m not sure if the two poems are supposed to be related, but since the narrator of The Raven is mourning his beloved Annie, and Annabel Lee is about the death of a young love named, well, Annabel Lee, as a kid I always assumed they were the same narrator and I’ve never moved on from that lol). I’m not much of a poet, but essentially it would have been Amane reflecting on his youthful, innocent romance with Nene, with flashes back and forth between the current time (she’s dead, he’s dying, with the raven being a symbol of his impending death in this reimagining), and the past/their love story. It would have been so tragic and SO fun to write since Edgar Allan Poe was such an inspiration for me as a weird little girl. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be (mainly because emulating another writer’s style is hard fucking work, and I don’t have that kind of free time at the moment).

Day 5: Spellbook

Okay so this one would’ve been fun. I had this idea I actually posted a snippet of last year that I ended up abandoning, but I was gonna rework it a little and try again this year. Essentially, Nene is a witch. This is in a world where witches can only get their powers by making deals with demons (in which they have to sell their souls), but Nene was born with hers. Turns out her mother made the deal FOR her, and sold Nene’s soul when she was just a little newborn. Now the demon has come to collect, but he does have SOME sense of honor. They make a new deal. He has one week to find something to offer to her that she believes is worth her soul. If she’s able to resist, both her soul and her powers are hers to keep. But if he manages to tempt her, then she belongs to him. Aw man guys this one was gonna be so fucking fun. So fucking hedonistic. I’m so sorry I can’t follow through with it for the second year in a row.

Day 6: Sacrifice/Grim Reaper

This one I actually did start writing but I could NOT get a good handle on the narration and it was driving me up a fucking wall, so I’ve given it up for a little while (maybe I’ll revisit it someday). But essentially, a serial killer/grim reaper au. Nene is an angel of death. Amane had a near death experience as a child and saw her, and for him it was love at first sight. He realized later on after witnessing a fatal car accident that he sees her whenever he’s around death. So, he does the logical thing. He starts stabbing bitches as a totally cute and quirky way of arranging dates with bae. He was gonna be totally unhinged in this, and Nene was going to be terrified of him, and boy oh boy is that my bread and butter combination. Maybe another time :/

But yeah anyways I loved these ideas and if I weren’t so busy right now I would’ve posted SO MUCH for Spooktober. It seemed sad to just keep the ideas collecting dust in Google Drive so here you go. Do with this information what you will
