I don't suppose I ever introduced them but this is my newest family member!
I've loved jumping spiders for a long time, they really helped me overcome my arachnophobia (them and photography), so I've wanted to start keeping them for ages. I asked my partner to get me one for Christmas, and we picked this little guy at the local reptile expo. We've gone through a molt and are eating well, I'm still working on getting them to realize I'm not scary though, lol.
Name pending. <3 I know spiders aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love this little guy and wanted to share!

So. Bracken has been unusually withdrawn today. She's usually so out and about- all over the top of her enclosure, hopping around to her little stick, chilling behind her hide.
Since yesterday? She's been IN her hide, and she's webbed it up real thick. And I uh... I think she might be molting in there.
NGL I am nervous. I was nervous about Reaper Man's first molt and he took me by surprise, but I'm worried about her. Molting is a stressful time and she's so NEW here and so skittish around me still. I'm just doing the best I can to keep her nice and humid. Her little butt was very VERY round despite not having been fed for a day or two so. I think she's changing out her old skin.
No idea how long it will take. I think she was in her 5th instar so. This one is kinda a big one. I THINK she should get her adult colors- I'll finally find out if I am correct about her being female.
